My first pro paycheck I bought...

First thing I bought with my first pro paycheck, probably my truck.

My mom a car.

That's a long time ago.

I'm getting old.

I paid off my mother's credit cards.

Benz S550.

I don't know, I think a car?

A car.

A Yukon.

I got my first car here in Dallas in '06.

I bought a house.

My first pro paycheck, I didn't necessarily buy anything, I think I just made a big payment

on my rent.

It was an Infinity SUV.

I took care of all my mom's debt with my very first paycheck.

I maybe had to pay my agents back or something.

You know my first year actually was a lockout year and I was only here for a few months,

so I had a small little rental car for the entire season and then in my second year I

finally bought a nice car.

So, I think the car was the first thing I bought and I was proud of it -- even though

I my teammates still make fun of me.

As far as like my first thing that I bought, you know, high-ticket item, I'd probably say

a couch.

It was a Mercedes but a smaller one.

And I think it was an E-Class at the time and uh they made fun of me for buying that car

but I enjoyed it.

Use Activity Monitor To Find Out What Is Preventing Sleep (#1320) - Duration: 2:45.

If you've got a lot of things going on in your Mac and you find it's not going to sleep

at the time you have set in System Preferences Energy Saver then it could be one of those

things you've got running preventing it from sleeping.

Normally I don't encourage people to use Activity Monitor too much because unless you're a software

engineer a lot of the stuff is going to be a little confusing.

But let's go and run Activity Monitor which is on all Macs.

In here you've got a lot of different tabs across this top.

This is in Sierra.

I'm going to go to Energy.

In Energy you've got several different columns here.

One of them is this one called Preventing Sleep with yeses or nos.

So anything marked no, of course, is not preventing your Mac from going to sleep.

Anything marked yes is indeed doing that.

So, for instance, right now by clicking here and sorting so I have the yeses at the top

I can see I've got two things preventing my Mac from going to sleep.

HIDD, HI stands for human interface.

So that basically means because I'm using the Mac it's not going to sleep which is of

course what I want.

Also my screen recording which, of course, is what I'm using to make this video.

They're preventing this Mac from going to sleep.

So if you see any yeses here that's why your Mac is not going to sleep.

Typically HIDD is going to be there because you're using your Mac, you're actually looking

at Activity Monitor.

What happens is if you stop using your Mac and it's only HIDD there then say if you have

it set to go to sleep after five minutes, it will go to sleep after five minutes.

If you look closely you'll see HIDD disappear or change to no just before that happens.

But if there is something else going on then that's preventing your Mac from going to sleep.

For instance, here's an easy one that you can use to test this.

If you run iTunes and we look here and we can see while iTunes will appear in this list

but it's not at the top because is doesn't have a yes next to sleep.

But if I were to play iTunes then it should jump to the top.

You can see there it is.

iTunes with a yes because I'm playing music and naturally you wouldn't want your Mac to

go to sleep while it's playing music.

You want it to keep playing the songs.

So it will wait until the end of the album or, if you were to stop the music, then eventually

iTunes would change to a no and disappear off of this list.

So it's a handy way to use Activity Monitor to go and see what may be preventing your

Mac from going to sleep.

'Cash Me Outside' Girl Suicide Hoax.

A fake news site leveraged the "Cash Me Outside" meme to fabricate a story about a young teen's suicide.

On 23 January 2017, the web site NBC-News.net published an article reporting that a Dr. Phil Show guest known as the "Cash Me Outside" girl committed suicide.

The teenaged girl in question appeared in a 2016 episode of the psychology-based talk show, clips of which subsequently went viral and led to the creation of the "Cash Me Outside" meme:

On September 15th, 2016, The Dr. Phil Show YouTube channel uploaded a clip in which a 13-year-old girl named Danielle appears on the show with her mother, who has turned to Dr. Phil because Danielle is stealing cars. Tired of the audience laughing at her, she cries "Catch me outside, how about that?"

A month later, a web site that appeared to be affiliated with NBC News reported the 13-year-old girl's supposed suicide:

After months of bullying from social media and peers at school, Danielle Ann was found dead in her room on January 23. The harassment began shortly after the Dr. Phil show released a clip onto their Youtube channel, in which a 13 year old Danielle appears on the show for stealing cars.

While on the show, Danielle began to get irritated with the audience and shouted "catch me outside, how about that?" Initially the airing of the clip was enough to handle. Then a fight with a fellow student leaked online of Danielle being drug out of a car and repeatedly struck in the head.

Just days after, Danielle was found unresponsive by her mother in her bedroom. She was then rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead late Monday evening.

Lifesaving Blood: What Doctors Reach for in the Emergency Room - Duration: 2:08.

There are may ways that each of us can give, but there's not that many ways we can give

something of ourselves to save a life.

Donating blood, if you are O negative, is really a beautiful way to do that.

So one case that comes to mind is a young kid, just learning how to drive.

It was wet and he slid around a turn and hit a tree right, kind of right where his body

was, so the tree kind of impacted the side of the car right were he was.

About 40 percent of people who die from trauma die from bleeding and this was going to be

the case for this kid, if we weren't able to give him blood.

So he came here and because we have O negative blood products in our refrigerator, his life

was saved.

Being able to give patients O negative blood in the setting of bleeding from trauma is

probably the most important action that we can provide to save lives.

For me, it's very important knowing that my blood is universal, knowing that O negative

blood can be given to anyone, to know that O negative blood is really the doctors and

the emergency room's first line of defense.

It's very important for me to donate and donate on a regular basis, because the need is so high.

Less than 10 percent of the population is O negative and those people are uniquely able

to donate the O negative blood we use, that's in our refrigerator, that's basically in every

trauma center in the country.

You don't have to go to college, you don't have to have a degree, you just sign up and

come and give blood and you literally save lives.

And I can think of nothing more important that doing that.

How to Boost Your Business with Augmented Reality? - Duration: 4:47.

Hi everyone!

Another day and another video from the Cleveroad studio.

Today, we are going to look beyond reality.

The topic for today is augmented reality and the ways it can boost your business productivity.

I'd like to start with the impressive AR forecasts to demonstrate the relevance of

this topic.

Trusted sources like Woodside Capital say that by 2022, the most attractive markets

for augmented reality expansion will be video gaming, healthcare, engineering, live events,

retail, and real estate.

According to Statista, profits are expected to exceed $162 billion, and the number of

users will reach 200 million.

These facts are more than encouraging.

So, let's find out how exactly you can apply augmented reality in different business areas

and consider the most successful examples.

Naturally, we start with Video gaming.

Famous Niantic games like Pokémon Go and Ingress prove the efficiency of AR technology.

People are obsessed with the interaction of fictional characters in a real environment.

Children's games also make a good use of it.

For instance, Meet the Animals and Quiver bring static pictures to life on device screens

and impress kids with cool graphics.

Medical apps using augmented reality serve not only doctors but also people with non-medical

professions.

For example, AED4EU pinpoints the location of the nearest automated external defibrillators,

and Amplified Robot Lab demonstrates how to administer medicines and vaccines in the right

way.

Dedicated specialists may use healthcare apps for professional purposes.

For instance, AccuVein produced an app for fast and accurate vein detection.

Medsights tech has developed a technology that allows surgeons to find the location

and size of a tumour without using X-rays.

AR is a real boon for engineers.

Regardless of the type of machine you are working on, you can see how it is going to

look from different sides and angles.

eDrawings Standard and eDrawings Pro are good examples of using AR in CAD modeling and industrial

engineering.

Retail vendors are increasing sales, thanks to the ability to show any product to their

customers.

Global giants like Coca-Cola and IKEA have developed exclusive apps to demonstrate their

products, both in supermarkets and at home.

Experts of style and beauty, Converse and L'Oreal have revealed apps that allow you

to try on shoes or put on makeup, without actually having access to the product.

In real estate, augmented reality serves architects, realtors, and consumers.

The ARHouse app shows several alternatives of a future house and explains how they differ.

It's hard to overestimate the role of AR with live events.

Participants of trade shows and exhibitions don't need to produce large mockups to demonstrate

their products.

Holding a phone or tablet, they can show every detail of their projects.

Well, we have looked through the main business areas where AR is currently being used.

And now, I'd like to say a few words about the technical aspect of the subject and look

into the development process of augmented reality.

There are two ways to implement AR in an app.

The first one is a Marker-based approach.

It uses a hard-coded object that is recognized by the app for building augmented reality.

Usually, such object is represented by QR code since it has a particular structure - three

distinctive squares and one smaller square.

It helps to accurately define the size of AR model and its position in space.

The markerless approach is the second way to implement AR in an app.

It is a more complex solution since your app needs to analyze the data and decide when

and where the AR image should appear.

It has no strict identifiers in the database.

Instead, it knows what signs indicate its presence.

If you decide to build an app with AR, there's no need to reinvent the wheel.

Existing AR frameworks and libraries can help you.

Some of them are really good; others, not.

In our opinion, tools such as Vuforia, ARToolKit, WikiTude, LayAR, and Kudan AR offer the best

solutions for building an AR application.

You can find out more about them and AR in general by reading the full article on our

site.

To reach it, follow the link below.

Well, that's all for today.

We hope that today's information was helpful.

IT RE-FREEZES AND BECOMES AN ICE

BECAUSE SLEET BOUNCES.

SO WHAT IS FREEZING RAIN?

FREEZING RAIN STARTS US KNOW,

What is Active Meditation? - Duration: 5:24.

In the last free webinar a level one

person asked this question but we didn't get

to it in time and so when he was acting

is that he's heard the type of work that

we do called active meditation and the

question was he thought that meditation

was supposed to be quiet not thinking...

what kind of work are we doing that

we call active meditation? Let's look at it from this point

people generally consider prayer as

engaging with the Creator, Source, All

that Is and asking and meditation is

that space where you get quiet and

listen.

One of the things that I've noticed is

people on the spiritual path are seeking

information but there begins to be

a level where they just keep seeking

information and that information is

really about taking more steps and

beginning to step into realms of

awareness at a higher level than that

third dimensional space were walk around focusing

on working, relationships and getting up

and going to bed. As you begin to step into

this fifth dimensional space there begins to be

a consideration of an alignment of

awareness that allows you to engage in

that space of the higher realms at the

same time listening. It's almost as if you

become a partner with these higher realms,

a citizens of these higher realms. You begin to ask

questions and get answers but it's done

from a particular place where you align

your energy really as a receiver and so

the active part of moving into that

receiver space is in Mastering Alchemy

focusing on the feelings of words

certain, capable, senior and as you

begin to hold your presence in that.. we

call it a cup that receiver the aspect of

asking and receiving in a very quiet

place but in a place that is clear and

precise and focus it has ease to it. That level

of activity begins to have you move into

a step experiencing these higher dimensions

rather than

searching for them. Before I got

involved in this I did meditation and it

was all about completely quieting the

mind and there was a tendency to leave

the body and since I've been doing this

dozens of years, it's very different in

that the active part is a like you said

I'm focused, I'm working, but that's

not the right word and I'm very focused

on be in the Sanctuary of the Pink

Diamond or I'm very focused on using a

color code or... so there's a stillness and

a quietness but it's not an emptiness.

Well it's a focus as a presence that allows you to

access migrations and fields and awarenesses

so if you you know want to have

something to eat

you go to the refrigerator where the

food is stored but what happens as you

start to...as you read books you keep

looking and searching and looking and

searching...or even a better

way of saying this is when you sit

quietly and meditate your not engaged in your

world

you're sitting quietly and meditating. As you

begin to create a structure that allows

you to hold a vibrational field of

receptivity you do it in you're walking around

space so your ability to access the certain...

the correct thing to say in a certain

circumstance is very available to you. You

don't sit in meditation and say what

should I say in my job interview later today.

This is a living engaged walking

meditation that what this life is all about. So

that active part is creating that cup? It's

creating the cup the receptor and being

the receptor so you can engage with all

these great Beings in

a instant moment what do I do here and

it's not asking then and tell me the

answer

it's really knowing. You begin to be

engaged in the knowing. Got it!

1 Minute of Motivation | Jim Carrey's Speech | Narrated & Animated - Duration: 0:55.

You can spend your whole life imagining ghosts, worrying about the pathway to the future.

But all there will ever be is what's happening here in the decisions we make in this moment

which are based in either love or fear.

So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality.

What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect so we never

dare to ask the universe for it.

I'm saying I'm the proof that you can ask the universe for it.

My father could be a great comedian but he didn't believe that that was possible for

him.

And so he made a conservative choice, instead he got a safe job as an accountant.

And when I was 12 years old, he was let go from that safe job, and our family had to

do whatever we could to survive I learned many great lessons from my father,

not the least of which was that, you can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well

take a chance on doing what you love.

What Is The Conscious & The Unconscious? - Duration: 8:08.

do you find that all this talk about the

conscious and the unconscious to be a

bit confusing? Stay tuned. This is Damon

Cart from NLP Gym. What is the conscious

and the unconscious? If you haven't

already please click subscribe to this

YouTube channel to get videos on a

regular basis consciousness

consciousness conscience the unconscious

the subconscious what does all this mean

we hear and say these words so much

that we often forget what they actually

mean and we start to think of them as

things like real tangible things like

the camera I'm speaking to or the lights

that are around me or the floor when

actual in actuality these are really

just categories and there's no such

thing really has a category there's no

such thing is to be more specific

because the thing is something tangible

so that we can grab something we can

pick up something we can see and

categories are really just concepts so we

overuse them are underused them we can

sort of over define them are under

define them there's some quick and dirty

definitions on all of these words

conscience is just being aware whatever

i'm aware of right now or whatever

you're aware of right now

consciousness is the fact of that awareness

the conscience is that sort of internal

compass that lets us know when

something's right and something wrong

like morally right or wrong the

unconscious is all the stuff that is

going on in your mind that we're not so

conscious of and in other words like the

involuntary processes that are going on

in my body like my heart beating like

breathing things that I don't really

have to think about but they do take

mental

processes to make happen also the

unconscious is taking in information

from the five senses and processing that

information and running it through

programs that you created that maybe

have making were conscious at one time

but are no longer but they continue to

work they continue to go ahead and these

processes just continue without your

conscious awareness of it you don't need

your conscious awareness of it anymore

good example that is like riding a bike

or driving a car you're not gonna really

conscious of everything that you're

doing that has slipped into the

unconscious but you can still do it and

it still takes your mind and artists it

still takes your mind to do that the

subconscious it is really just the

unconscious it's just a derogatory word

to use for your unconscious actually not

really though some people think of it

that way you don't like to use the word

from the work subconscious and referring

to the unconscious because so mean

below are under are less than and the

truth is that you're unconscious as a

part of your mind just like any other

part of your mind and it's not go over

some of our less than any other parts

just as relevant it'll be really works

with conscious and unconscious processes

conscience

it's not really something we deal with

NLP except in terms of ecology we refer

to the right and wrong more in terms of

the entire system with better or worse

for the system not necessarily the whole

right/wrong moral argument Freudian

psychology is more or less a process of

discussing a problem and bringing into

awareness the unconscious programs and

processes that hold that problem in

place so you will talk a lot about

what's going on with you and the

Freudian psychoanalysis therapist will

ask you questions to help draw this

information out and the idea behind it

is that when you draw out and make

unconscious programs and processes

conscious that the problem goes away

for certain people for certain problems

this actually works quite well but they

don't always work in fact Milton

Erickson the father of modern hypnosis

actually worked in exactly the opposite

way most of the time he spoke directly

to the unconscious in a person and very

little of the programs and processes

that were created the problem wherever

brought into consciousness he had this

presupposition an assumption about the

unconscious that it has all the

resources necessary to heal itself

sometimes you just needed some extra

guidance and direction and kind of our

conscious mind us our conscious mind is

on the forefront area is guiding and

trying to consciously focus la direction

and the unconscious is more less more

open to that direction

I mean it does have some of the

direction on its own it will to put

things that you're conscious and sort of

guidance

however a lot of times it often needs

the guidance of something a conscious

mind and a metaphors is used like a

horse, a horse has a rider but who is really in

control there and the conscious mind is kinda like

the rider who is steering the horse where to go

and the horse is the unconscious that is

following that direction but sometimes the horse

wants to go where it wants to go and the

horse could probably find its way home

if it needed to without its rider on

there so there is a good metaphor used

because they're the unconscious does

have its own sort of direction and

desire and want. When NLP is used for

your conscious mind it's more so to

focus your mind on achieving certain

outcomes there are certain ways that you

can focus certain ways that you can

think about things that will help you

get there we also work with the

unconscious because sometimes we want to

find that the conscious mind and go

directly to the unconscious and the

reason for that is when the conscious mind

gets involved it can resist its the

conscious mind job to filter and reject

information that is not true or that can

be harmful to you are that could create

a problem basically therefore in this

part of us serves us quite well but it can

also limit limit us in the way of

creating resistance to positive change

when it comes to terminology that

describe the different parts of the

mind be careful that you're not over

complicating the mind is complex enough

without adding complicated terminology

to it also remember that the mind is one

thing it is not different parts all

working in different ways are you don't

have a different minds all working in different

ways it's all one mind working together

and as all the conscious and unconscious

there's just two categories of one mind

and it is complicated thing for you then

just let it go. Check out my website

Fishing Snacks | What To Eat While Fishing | Bass Fishing - Duration: 4:41.

Hey folks, Glenn May here with BassResource.com.

And an interesting question that I got the other day was, "What do you like to snack

on while you're fishing?"

So I'm gonna walk you through some of what I do, what my wife and I like to do, and maybe

it might spark a few ideas for you.

So the first thing I like to do, is I wanna make sure that when we're snacking on something

I don't wanna eat something that can melt in the hot summer sun and we don't wanna eat

anything that makes a big mess.

So typically that'd be shelled peanuts, sunflower seeds, that kind of stuff.

I know a lot of you guys love your sunflower seeds, that's fine, knock yourself out.

I'm not saying don't do it.

But for me I don't like that mess that it creates, so I don't like sunflower seeds on

the boat.

But what we like to do is try a couple of different things, this is what we've done

over the years.

We've determined that one of the best things to snack on, is these little Cliff Bars.

These are great, easy to snack on, just stick it in your shirt pocket while you're eating

or while you're fishing.

I just like to open up one, I can munch on it and eat it as I'm going down the lake.

Another thing we like to munch on are crackers.

Now I know I just said I don't like to make a lot of mess, but typically these don't make

a whole lot because they're bite sized.

Just pop one in your mouth and you're done.

So you don't make a big mess.

But the cool thing also about these is that they provide some sodium, and you're gonna

need that while you're on the lake.

I wanna tell you something, about five, I don't know, seven years ago, I had a bout

with kidney stones.

And I'm telling you what, if you haven't had that before, I hope you never do because it's

extremely painful.

If you've had a broken bone, on a scale of one to ten that's about a six.

Kidney stone's about 11.

It's the worst kinda pain you can have.

Once that was said and done, I talked over with my doctor and I said, "Look, you know,

what caused that?

What happened?"

Now I'm just gonna tell you what he told me.

I'm not a doctor or a nutritionist, so, take it with a grain of salt.

But he said, he asked me, "What do you drink?

How do you stay hydrated?"

And I said, "Well, you know, I'm from Seattle, I like my latte, so I have a latte every day.

And then I drink Coke throughout the day, and when I'm on the lake, I add to that some

Gatorade."

And he said, "Well, that's a funny thing, because caffeine and sports drinks are some

of the top contributors to kidney stones.

So stop drinking coffee, stop drinking your coke and stop drinking Gatorade."

And I said, "Well, wait a minute.

How do I...

What should I be drinking?"

So first of all, I still have a cup of coffee, but the main thing he said is water.

So this is what we have on the lake a lot of, we drink a lot of water all the time.

This is the main way we stay hydrated.

Even in the winter time, when it's cold out and you don't feel you're all that thirsty,

you need to stay hydrated.

Drink your water.

You've gotta have that on the boat.

The other thing is, what do I do for the sports drinks?

Well, I did some research and...

Just dropped that, that's awesome.

It's wet, okay, it's wet.

Slippery, okay.

Thanks.

But what we found, we did some research and discovered that coconut water is a viable

alternative to sports drinks.

Now I'm not saying that it's an exact replacement.

Again, I'm not a nutritionist.

But, looking at it online, it turns out that this is a pretty good replacement for sports

drinks.

Thing is, I don't like coconut.

I really don't, I don't like coconut in anything.

So I was real hesitant to try it, but it turns out coconut water tastes a lot like water.

Just water, plain old water.

Which is the cool thing about that, means they can flavor it, anything they wanna do.

So in this one here, this is my favorite, it's chocolate.

It tastes very similar to chocolate milk, which is nice, I've got a sweet tooth.

So that's really good for you.

And then other flavors they have, they come in all sorts of flavors, like this one is

peach-mango.

They come in strawberry, kiwi, fruit punch, all kinds of stuff.

Try them out, try the different flavors, you'll find you really like them.

But it's got a lot of the rehydrating properties in them that sports drinks have.

All right?

So definitely try these out, I think they're better for you than sports drinks, you're

not gonna have some of the long term issues that I had.

But that's what we like to have, that's what we like to try on the lake.

Now it's your turn, tell me what you like to eat while you're on the water.

Leave a comment down below and let us know what you think.

Thanks for watching and have a great day.
