Youtube daily about Feb 2 2017

I could always play a bit of piano, although never a great player

The guitar is my main instrument

Any guitar player can play the bass guitar

But the drums...

I always had two left hands.

Suddenly, there's a device which allows me to sound like a good drummer.

A Digital Guy in an Analog World

Izhar Ashdot on Synthesisers and Creation

I had a feeling of pure joy and completeness

When I first hooked up my little setup

Which included a sequencer, controlling a synth with my programming

Connected to a TB-303 bass machine

and a drum machine

That setup was the basis for the song Give Me Some of You which I wrote for Corinne Alal

These three instruments.

The song appears on Corinne's debut album

Izhar composed and produced it in 1983

Things developed at a furious pace

Real, big computers appeared on the scene

You could program multiple parts that played simultaneously

When I strarted recording on a computer

People asked me: Are you really recording on a computer?

You're even recording guitars on a computer?

Yes!

My musical palette had expanded

I could paint in any color I chose

But I didn't touch my guitar...

A prisoner of Electronics

Three years without a guitar

I was so enchanted by electronic instruments

That for the three years following the breakup of my band T-Slam

when I started to produce I hardly touched the guitar

I didn't feel unhappy

Mainly about a news said I accept the love relationship

[PT] TBR "Reading About Reality" - Duration: 4:55.

I haven't got four books for four challenges.

I've got seven.

Hello everyone and here I am with another video in portuguese for this channel.

This time I'm here to do my TBR for the marathon Reading About Reality.

For those who don't know this (PORTUGUESE) marathon, I'm going to leave a link in the description box, in which I present

the marathon.

Basically this is a marathon that occurs from the 1st to the 14th of february and I'm organizing it

with Sara from the portuguese channel Sara Cristina.

This is a marathon that intends reflection and deepen knowledge about

social issues.

We've got four challenges to achieve and I couldn't pick only one book for each one

challenge. So, I picked seven.

Without further ado, let's start with the challenges and which books I'm going to read for each one of them.

The first challenge is "Read a book that includes human rights inequalities".

For this challenge I chose two books.

Initially I was going to read "The Diary of a Young Girl" because I know some people are

reading books related with Anne Frank, but then I decided that I'd rather reread two

books that I've read in the past, which are both basically about the same theme and that I'd love

to read in order to decide wheter to keep them or to sell or give them away.

So, it'll help me achieving the goal of reducing the amount of books I own.

The books are "I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced", by Nojoud Ali (I'm sorry if, if I mispronounce the names

of the people) and "Belonging", by Sameem Ali.

Both these books are about children who were forced to marry.

One in Yemen and one in Pakistan.

I've very excited to reread these books and at least I wish to read this one,

which is the thinner.

This is a little bigger and I'm going to read it if I manage to read for every challenge.

Then, I'll start reading a second book for each challenge.

If so.

The second challenge is "Read a book that includes an example of the impact of the human being in nature"

and I chose a book that I found for sale in one of my favourite bookshops here

in Lisbon and that's called "an inconvenient truth - the crisis of global warming", by

Al Gore.

This is a very well know book, or, if not a book, at least a movie.

Many of you may have seen the documentary that origined this book.

For those of you who don't know it, I'm vegetarian and threfore I'm very interested in these themes

about the impact of the human being in nature and specially in global warming.

The third challenge is "Read a book that talks about someone who changed or revolutionized the

way of thinking of the world" and I chose two books.

The first and the one I'm really willing to read is this biography from the colection "A Minha

Vida Deu Um Livro" of Sigmund Freud.

But, if I can't read this book, because even though it's small it also has very small words

and it may not interest me, I don't know if I'm going to be able to read it.

And therefore I also selected this book.

"Medicina, Literatura e Arte - Música, Escultura e Outros Artistas", by Mário Viana de Queiroz

and Hilton Seda.

Basically it's about the life of many artists and also about how they died.

So, it brings medicine and art together and it sounds interesting and easy to read.

So, if I can't read the Freud's one, this one I'm sure I can.

The fourth challenge is "Read a book about a character that has some king of psychological

disorder or special educational need".

This is the challenge that I already started.

Today it's 1st february, when I'm recording this video and when you'll

see it as well.

I've started this book.

"Vidas Raras" which is from Raríssimas, which is an association that helps children that

have rare diseases and basically this book has twenty stories of children with rare

diseases.

I've read the first two.

It's very easy to read and very interesting, specially for someone who doesn't know

this sphere.

Besides this book, I also intend to read, if I have time, the "Piso 3 Quarto 313", by

Fernando Correia.

This books is about the life of Fernando Correia as husband of a woman with Alzheimer's and

therefore about the life of someone with Alzheimer's.

So, from the seven books I chose, the only ones I think I may not be able to

read are these two: Sigmund Freud's biography and "Belonging".

Both for the size of the second and the difficulty of the first, because

I'm in a time when I need fast reads, not because in another time of my

life I wouldn't read them easily, but right now I need simple

and fast reads and that's why I may not be able to read these.

Tell me in the comments if you are going to participate in this marathon.

I invite everyone to do so (IT'S IN PORTUGUESE), I'd want lots of people participating.

The more people, the better.

Tell me your opinion as well if you've read any of these books and also which one of them

you think it's more interesting for me to read.

You may change my perspective, my priorities.

I wish you a great marathon, have a nice day and be happy.

Groundhog Day 2017: All you need to know about Punxsutawney Phil - Duration: 13:28.

Punxsutawney Phil is preparing for the annual Groundhog Day prediction. While we wait to hear if he sees his shadow or not, here is everything you might want to know know about the famous groundhog.

He is groundhog known by many names. His full name is Punxsutawney Phil, Seer of Seers, Sage of Sages, Prognosticator of Prognosticators and Weather Prophet Extraordinary.

But Phil wasn't even his original name. In the early years of Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney referred to him as Br'er Groundhog. The club says he was later named after King Phillip.

How do we know if he saw his shadow? Phil does not speak English. Thankfully, his handlers are fluent in Groundhogese. After Phil emerges from his stump the morning of Feb. 2, he speaks with the handlers in a series of clicks and chirps.

Phil is always right ... or at least that's what the Groundhog Club Inner Circle says. They blame any potential errors on interpretation from Groundhogese to English. According to our calculations, Phil and his translators have been right about 65 percent of the time since 1898.

Phil isn't your average groundhog. Phil weighs 20 pounds and is 22 inches long, while most groundhogs are about 15 pounds and 20 inches long.In addition, most groundhogs live about seven years. The Groundhog Club members give Phil a "magical punch" every summer to prolong his life by seven more years.

They say there has only been one Phil since Punxsutawney began celebrating the holiday 131 years ago. That magical elixir, however, doesn't appear to work on humans.

"We've tried, it just makes them fat and bald," co-handler Ron Ploucha told PennLive. "If you saw some of our Inner Circle members you can tell the ones that tried."

He bites. The groundhog's handlers wear chainmail gloves to protect themselves from Phil's large teeth when they anticipate he might put up a fight.

What does Phil do in between Groundhog Days? He lives with his wife, Phyllis, in a burrow at Barclay Square next to the Punxsutawney Memorial Library. Visitors can see him at 301 E. Mahoning St. most of the year.

Phil has also gotten involved in politics -- even threatening 60 weeks of winter if he couldn't get a drink during Prohibition -- and claimed to have made two trips to the moon.

That wasn't Phil in "Groundhog Day." The Punxsutawney groundhog did not make an appearance in the movie that brought fame to his small town (even though it was filmed in Woodstock, Illinois).

A groundhog named Scooter and five understudies filled in for Phil on set. Of course, Scooter wasn't used to the spotlight and demands of being a movie star. He bit Bill Murray during the stolen truck scene. Groundhog trainer Bill Hoffmann said Murray bought shark-wrangling gloves to wear the next day.

Phil loves granola bars. Handler Ron Ploucha said oat and honey granola bars are Phil's favorite. You might also see him munching on kale. There is a Philmobile. When Punxsutawney Phil has to be transported from his burrow to an event, he gets put on this little bus with some members of the inner circle. A special groundhog seat on the outside of the Philmobile makes him easy to spot during parades.

The first time I met Gordon, he was

a lot nicer than I expected.

Yeah.

Hi, Gordon!

Hi, guys!

[laughs]

Watching his other shows, he's really mean and curses a lot.

Oh, dear.

I had to splash myself with water in my face.

I'm like, is just really happening?

I literally almost ran up and hugged him.

I started running and I was like, no, no--

just, just don't.

I got to hug him.

Never take a shower again.

Like I didn't want to take a shower, but I did so.

[laughs]

Christina Tosi is kind of like my idol.

She is like the queen of baking.

I want to be just like her.

So we're kind of like soul sisters.

Yeah.

She's definitely different from Gordon Ramsay.

She's more so the nicer judge, I would say.

Smaller than I thought.

Her hair is so perfect.

Her dress doesn't have one wrinkle.

I'm going to get her autograph.

Maybe take a selfie.

Cristina's very beautiful.

I'm just gonna point that out.

Ep 77- The Truth About Whooping Vaccine Part 1 [My Incredible Opinion] - Duration: 9:34.

Out of all the diseases on the CDC vaccine schedule, Whooping Cough is the only one I

would be concerned about if I was a thinking parent who did their research and decided

to skip club-pharma's initiation rites.

Whooping Cough, or Pertussis, is the P in DTaP, DTP, and TDaP.

Like ESPN and HGTVC, you can't get it by itself, you've got to get some other crap alongside

it you don't want.

I've said this before, but if you're new to the whole anti-vax thing, polio rarely caused

paralysis before humans started monkeying with things, we know why it causes paralysis

now and can avoid those things, AND if you live in a first world country the other diseases

on the vaccine schedule were rarely fatal even 50 years ago.

We've come a long way since then.

If I had a little babooshka on the way, I wouldn't worry about ANY of them except Whooping

Cough.

It's not a pleasant thing to go through, especially if a misinformed doctor attempts to treat

it with antibiotics.

So why would I possibly avoid giving the Pertussis vaccine to my baby?

Before I tell you how nasty the vaccine is, let me explain the disease a little bit, and

how we deal with it safely, and how conventional medicine deals with it poorly.

Whooping Cough is not a particularly dangerous disease, except for babies.

Why?

You have these little hair-like cells in your respiratory tract that help you clear mucus.

Part of the Pertussis effect is to damage these hair-like cells, so you can't clear

the mucus easily and instead you have to COUGH it out.

Your lungs get real dry, and when you breathe in before the cough, it sounds strange.

A hooping sound, some people say.

And babies, who haven't been doing 100 stomach crunches a day like you or I have, since college,

with nothing to show for it, can't cough as vigorously as you or I.

So we have to help them because we don't want mucus pooling in the bottom of their lungs

and causing other infections.

Dr. Suzanne Humphries has a popular article on treating Whooping Cough naturally, often

called the Vitamin C protocol, so Google it and get the details from an actual intelligent

human being.

I will butcher it quickly to give you a taste.

Whooping cough is like an engine that burns through the Vitamin C in your body.

When it runs out of Vitamin C, it starts doing nasty things.

If you keep your baby's body chock full of Vitamin C, the disease has a much harder time

causing problems.

It even makes the mucus more liquid and easier to cough up.

Were you expecting expectorate?

It's too fancy.

Anyway, she also talks about some ways to hold your baby to help them clear the mucus

from their lungs.

There are many, many mothers who have dealt with Whooping Cough this way and have given

their children natural immunity to a disease which unlike the vaccinated, they can pass

on to their children to give them a head start in life.

Nature is amazing like that.

So that is one way of treating Whooping Cough.

How does modern medicine prefer to deal with it?

Well first off they would like to vaccinate you for it.

Not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, but 5 times.

As a child.

And more as you get older.

If there's any shot that should give you a hint that vaccines are inferior to a natural

infection it should be the Pertussis shot.

Whereas a single natural infection can give you a lifetime of immunity in some cases,

30 years at least with Pertussis, PLUS the ability to pass on passive immunity to your

offspring, the Pertussis vaccine appears to be so ineffectual that they want you to get

it every 2 months as an infant.

2 months?

Does that even qualify as a vaccine?

There's a point at which you could hold your breath for longer and avoid the bacteria more

effectively, and we're nearly there.

In addition to the 5 doses, they're telling pregnant mothers to get the Pertussis shot

to help protect their infant between 0 and 2 months, which by the way has not been tested

for safety and appears to be a very dangerous thing to do.

But what the hell, it's a vaccine, right?

What could go wrong?

Oh you're pregnant?

Pft.

Go for it.

(Vaccinated mothers lack specific antibodies and cellular immunity for pertussis and cannot

gift their babies with anything other than a couple of micrograms of aluminum in their

brain.

You're welcome, baby girl!)

Just a quick technical note here- the Pertussis vaccine, when it works, doesn't prevent you

from getting a Bordetella Pertussis bacterial infection.

It's not like the Polio or Measles vaccines, where they might give you a weakened version

of a virus that hopefully won't hurt you but will generate enough of an immune response

to create immunity to future attacks.

The Pertussis vaccine doesn't contain the bacteria at all (which is why it can't shed),

but instead a modified version of the toxin the bacteria PRODUCES once you're infected.

The toxin is what causes symptoms.

And Pertussis Toxin is a very, very nasty toxin if it gets in the brain.

It's actually used in research as a way to increase the permeability of the blood brain

barrier (so they can see what happens when other things like the Gardasil vaccine makes

its way into parts of the brain or cerebral spinal fluid).

The vaccine, which is injected into your body, contains a chemically detoxified version of

the toxin, but apparently can sometimes revert back to the toxic form.

This may explain why Pertussis containing vaccines are so commonly associated with seizures

and sudden-infant death, Comforting, I know.

Where were we?

It's hoped that being exposed to a weakened version of the TOXIN will prevent you from

having nasty symptoms when you get infected by the Pertussis bacteria.

Because remember, the vaccine doesn't prevent infection, it's only designed to prevent symptoms

from the infection.

Because of this, the vaccine doesn't prevent the spread of Whooping cough.

If it works, you may cough a bit less, which some might argue would cut down on the spread,

but you're most contagious at the beginning of the infection, before the coughing.

I'll talk about this more some other time, but I can't say this enough- the Pertussis

vaccine doesn't prevent the spread of Pertussis.

Think of it like a bulletproof vest that only works sometimes, and when it does, it just

makes bullets ricochet into other people near you.

So they've vaccinated you 34 times, twice in the womb, 20 as a child, and 12 times as

a teen, and you still got Whooping cough.

It happens.

What do they do then?

They give you antibiotics, because why not?

Other than the day after the monthly news report about emerging SUPERBUGS from overuse

comes out, Antibiotics are given like candy these days.

And when your 34 Pertussis vaccines failed to prevent you from coughing, and because

it's not even designed to prevent you from infection, they give you antibiotics.

There's a big problem with this- taking antibiotics for Whooping Cough, in multiple studies, has

shown to INCREASE the duration of coughing.

In fact, I can't find more than one study that says antibiotics as a Whooping Cough

treatment helps in any way.

I'll save you the problems with antibiotics, because I don't want your mind to explode,

but just know they are not without cost.

You can look everywhere throughout the CDC, WHO or FDA websites and they will not mention

a single treatment for Whooping Cough that doesn't involve a pharmaceutical patent other

than handwashing and drinking plenty of fluids, and I'm guessing BigPharma's not very comfortable

with those recommendations.

The natural treatment of Whooping Cough can be drama free, with some work, and the conventional

allopathic treatment of Whooping Cough can create more problems than it solves.

You might prefer the conventional route if the vaccine worked.

And if it didn't appear to have so many nasty side effects.

But when you look at the increasing Pertussis outbreaks all over the world, despite increasing

vaccination rates, I think you'll find the natural path a no-brainer.

And that is my incredible opinion.

Andy Learns About "Locker Room Talk" (NSFW-ish comedy short) - Duration: 3:24.

[meditation music]

Hey.

Hey.

Is this floor taken?

No.

You do yoga a lot?

Yeah, I've been here for a year.

Krystal is great.

Thought I'd come here a little early.

This is my first time.

I'm gonna check out the babes.

Great.

Yeah, I'm just trying it out.

I don't think it will give me a REAL workout, though.

I mean, chicks look hot.

Real flexible, ya know?

Well, good luck.

Yeah, I just had to get outta my gym.

Ever since Trump came about with his whole "Locker Room Talk" scandal, things have been

really weird over there.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Yeah.

Some of those guys were my friends. Others were just random hand job buddies, but lately

they've been acting real weird and freakin' me out.

How so?

Well, like, I'm spotting Chad, right?

And I'm asking him, "Hey, you jerked it to any good movies lately?" and suddenly he doesn't

wanna talk about it.

It's like no one wants to talk about their favorite new porno, or the chick they banged

over the weekend.

It's all like, "This kind of talk is hurtful towards women" and "We're better than that."

And I'm standing in the sauna with my dick out like, "Hey guys, we're MEN!

That's our right!

There's no microphone on me!"

I mean, I even had a tacit conversation the other day...about foot hygiene.

FOOT HYGIENE!

I can have that type of talk at the water cooler at my work.

That's water cooler talk; I need my LOCKER ROOM talk, dammit!

Especially now, since my girlfriend dumped me.

I came home from the gym one day and had a conversation about this to her.

(beat) OKAY!

I'm lying- I've never had a girlfriend.

But I need my locker room talk!

Wow.

Just....wow.

Hey, you think they have a sauna here?

Ya know, I've never checked.

I met they do.

Saunas are good to get the toxins out of your body.

I'm also thinking about hittin' up Cheesecake Factory after this for a slice.

You wanna join me?

It's my cheat day!

No.

No, thank you.

No?

Cool.

Is that the yoga teacher?

Awe, she's not even that hot.

She looks like she just won Survivor.

That's it.

I'm outta here.

Parenting is not just about talking - The Hidden Curriculum by Damanhuri Abas - Duration: 2:24.

Just now when we were having the breakfast, you shared about...

The hidden education??! Yes.. the hidden curriculum

That was interesting

The child learns a lot by... seeing what you do, rather than what you say

Especially when the child is maturing

This is brother Damanhuri Abas

So I went to Indonesia to do some video work for Sirius Learning Universe

So I took this opportunity to asked some tips on raising children

So the child will become atleast a good person

In terms of education excellence...? do you have some tips?

i believe for example that...

honestly I do not as a parent

myself and my wife

we don't really... you know

like have big ambitious... that goes for our children and so on...

the children as they... grow in their schooling

constantly get this input directly or

indirectly from parents..

I believe my children do fairly well in education

because they see the value of education in terms of...

what they can do... later in life

not so much in making money

but in having a position in life...

so they can contribute back...

to society and community... and be a good...

person in life... so those are things that...

you need to... I think a lot more

important in instilling in your child

and they are not about talking... they are also about...

you as a role model...living those things

beginning with ourself and our family

I think that should be the strategy that we need to adopt

the change begins with us and our family

so that in the future

when our children grow up

they would do likewise... and I think

the multiply effect is organic and it is very Quranic

and it is how Allah wants change to take place

Top 5 Facts About Mew! That You May or May Not Know! - Duration: 5:23.

On today's Top Five video we'll be listing a couple of Mew facts that you may or may

not know.

I know everyone has seen Pokemon: the First Movie at least once.

I loved that part where Mew and Mewtwo squared off hovering over a sea of real and clone

Pokemon.

Also that part where clone Pikachu was slapping Ash's Pikachu.

It was so heart wrenching!

No, I'm not crying I'm just sweating from my eyes.

Mew was one of those Pokemon you just knew was special by just staring at it.

You know I really can't put my finger on it, but there was something special about it.

I guess I'm just brainwashed by the First Movie and that one with Lucario.

Anyway that's enough stalling you want to hear the facts right?

Well let's start with number 5.

Its been said that Mew has the DNA of every single Pokémon contained within its body,

and as such is able to learn any attack.

You know thinking back those diaries on Cinnabar Island did mention that it was believed by

scientists to be the ancestor of all other Pokémon, which, is kinda apparent now since

it has a strong resemblance to an embryo.

I can't believe that I never noticed this...its so obvious that Mew is an embryo.

I must of been a stupid little kid man.

I guess even Game Freak knew they were sitting on a gold mine with Pokemon.

Because did you happen to know that Mew was the very first Pokémon trademark ever to

be applied for and registered, which is the reason why it was named "the ancestor of all

Pokémon."

I get it so it works in game wise and real world too.

However, that's kinda odd considering what number one on this list will be.

Back when Red and Blue first came out there was a very strong myth that pulled us all

in.

Well if you went to the truck near the S.S. Anne and used strength on it, the truck would

move and a pokeball containing a mew would appear where it was.

I can't start to tell you how many hours I wasted using strength on that stupid truck.

My character would spend hours in front of the truck, behind the truck, and on the side

of the truck, but nothing happened.

I can't even begin to explain why I thought it was true, now that I lookback on it of

course the whole thing was stupid.

Ditto is considered to be a failed Mew clone because of numerous clues left in the Pokemon

Mansion.

Amongst the rubble and wreckage is information written by the scientist who obtained a Mew

and cloned it to create Mewtwo.

Perhaps eventually an extremely powerful one was born breaking free and maybe even destroying

the laboratory.

(Even if they tried to pinning it on a volcano) What happened to the fail clones well some

believe that they went to be with Mewtwo hence why some Ditto are found in the Cerulean Cave.

Are they remnants of this experiment.

Who knows, but think about it both Mew and Ditto are pink, and both are the only Pokemon

that can naturally learn Transform.

Without Mew, the series could very well have stalled before it had a chance to get going,

so it may surprise you to know that Mew was added to the game by an overzealous programmer

at the very last moment.

During the final stages of development, programmer Morimoto removed the developer debug mode

from Pokémon, freeing up a tiny 300 bytes of cartridge space.

As a bit of a gag, Morimoto decided to use those bytes to slip in one last Pokemon of

his own creation, and thus the mysterious Mew was born.

Mew was never intended to be accessible by players; it was just supposed to be a fun

little secret for the developers of the game.

So Mew wasn't originally going to be an actual Pokémon; it was originally just a prank set

up by the developers, and behind the creators' backs, no less.

However, due to all the publicity it got, it became official.

So that's why those games were so glitchy the programmer took out the debug program.

Who knew that Mew was the last Pokemon created yet the first one trademarked.

You learn something new everyday.

Dr. Eric Zielinski - What Led Me to Natural Health & Essential Oils for Healing - Duration: 2:49.

Ty Bollinger: And so I want to go back to the start with you.

What got you interested in health and nutrition and

eventually essential oils?

Dr. Zielinski: Well, how much time do we have because …

Ty Bollinger: That's kind of an open-ended question.

Dr. Zielinski: It is.

Oh my Lord.

So, 12 years ago, I accepted Christ as my Savior and I had one of those

dramatic, "I was blind, now I see, I was lost, now I'm found" experiences.

And my mentor in Christ, his name is Enoch, and he's 71 years old today.

He will run circles around you and me.

He could still bench-press 250 lbs. and he's the healthiest

person I know.

He's not on any pharmaceuticals and just lives a very clean, healthy life.

And he told me, he looked me straight in the eye — I was a young man at the time — and

he said, "Eric, you have to honor God.

You have to honor your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit."

And so what that did was really imparted to me a

focus and a vision in my life.

So when I started seeking out scripture and when I started seeking out just

how to live and what it was to be a Christian, I also was

seeking out natural health as well.

And so it's been a very great ride.

I've been researching on my own for over a decade—actually, 12 years—natural health solutions and remedies.

It wasn't until recently that I fell in love with essential oils.

And that was because I'm a public health research writer and one of my clients asked

me to write a series of public health reports.

And it was interesting because my wife has been using essential oils since we've been

married, and she has her thing.

She puts them here, there, and she just does her thing.

She has her own little protocol.

I just thought it was smelly stuff.

I had never really given two thoughts about it.

And here's the test though, developed athlete's foot a

few years ago.

I went to the gym, something happened, I got —

what do you think?

Tea tree or melaleuca.

I got some knock-off brand at the health food store and

nothing worked.

And I'm like, "This stuff stinks.

I mean …" Ty Bollinger: Doesn't work.

Dr. Zielinski: I threw it away.

Yeah, I completely dismissed it until I started doing research and, being

trained in how to sift through the literature, it blew my mind.

I started doing research and I started seeing how oregano is more effective at antibiotic-resistant

bacteria like MRSA and different sources of staph strains than current medications.

I started doing research on cancer and you name it — and I

was convinced.

I went to my wife and I'm like, "What are you doing?

And why are you enjoying these?"

And she started explaining to me the difference between a therapeutic-grade oil and the knock-off

brand at the store and, long story short, that's where it all began.

Then I started looking into the different grades and brands.
