Heath Ledger- The actor was found dead and alone in his apartment from an accidental
drug overdose of anti-anxiety medication, prescription painkillers, and sleeping pills.
During this time, he wrapped up shooting the movie Dark Knight, in which his role as the
Joker gained him critical fame with awards and honors to his name.
Since his death in 2008, various people claim to have spotted him in cafes, shops and walking
in the streets of Manhattan, New York.
Overzealous fans stick to the belief the Aussie actor is still alive, even with 2 million
people clicking on the famous "Heath Ledger Alive?!"
video on Youtube.

Amy Winehouse- Grammy singer Amy Winehouse sadly joined the "27 Club," back in 2011
from alcohol poisoning.
Not long after, her father Mitch Winehouse received dozens of messages from people claiming
Amy set up her unexpected death.
Mitch also told the press that he was contacted by numerous people saying the singer was actually
staying on a remote island with other "dead" celebrities.
Mitch later told a The Sun New source that while he was "okay" with the rumors, he
just wonders where all the gossip comes from.

Andy Kaufman- The humble comedian passed away due cancer back in 1984, but as of 2013 his
own brother Michael believed Andy was still alive and living a secret life.
Michael claimed to have gotten a note from his famous brother and saw video footage of
him in New Mexico.
Apparently, Kaufman also met with a professional hoaxer named Alan Abel who managed stage his
death back in 1979.
Hopeful fans cling to the possibility that Kaufman not dead due to the fact he would
joke in his standups about staging his death as an ultimate prank.
His supporters are still anxious for the day when Kaufman will put an end to this running
gag.

Jim Morrison- The musician passed away at 27 years young due to a heart attack, most
likely as a consequence of a drug or alcohol overdose.
Heartbroken fans still clutch to the idea that the Doors frontman Jim Morrison is still
alive and well.
Some people claim he staged his fake death to evade three paternity suits and a jail
sentence.
Other people also add in that little of the musician's family and friends attended his
funeral.

Nicholas II.
The entire royal family was brutally murdered by a firing squad when the communists invaded
Russia.
After their tragic death had become public, claims and stories of some of the family members
surviving took the media by storm.
Even several women claimed to be the grand duchess, the best-known imposter being Anna
Anderson.
Her possible escape provoked many books and films of her flight and secret life.

Notorious B.I.G- Only a year, after fellow rapper Tupac died, Biggie Smalls was killed
by an unknown individual in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California back in 1997.
This fueled rumors to believe that the rapper never died and led many of his supporters
to believe that the rappers' feud in the music industry was a factor as well as his
record company to improve sales was a result of his death.

Paul Walker- The Beloved Fast and Furious Actor tragically passed in a fatal high-speed
car collision that also ended the life of his friend.
After his funeral, some fans claimed to have seen the 40-year-old actor sneaking around
the Hollywood scene disguised in a green wooly hat.
They theorized that movie executives of the Fast and Furious franchise forced the celebrity
to fake his death because it would generate the films with publicity and they knew his
dramatic death would bring just that.

Amelia Earhart- Her courage and brave act to travel around the world were cut short
after her Lockheed Electra mysteriously disappeared over the Pacific Ocean in 1937.
Rescue workers immediately searched for her and her navigator Fred Noonan, but it remained
unsuccessful.
Many ideas emerged after they pair went missing which prompted programs and funding among
researchers and historians to uncover the truth.
The most widely accepted guess is that the plane ran out of fuel which caused them to
crash and sink, some people believe they reached land and survived.
Another theory claims Earhart was taken captive by Japanese forces and some think she moved
to New Jersey after completing the world flight.
Also, she either remarried and took on a new identity under the name Irene Bolam.

Kurt Cobain- The Nirvana singer was found dead at his home back in 1994 with a visible
shotgun wound to his head.
The forensic analysis concluded that he committed suicide three days prior and a suicide note
was found nearby.
Even though there was evidence the use of drugs and clinical depression was a contributing
factor to his death and his wife Courtney Love confirmed he was suicidal; fans believed
the singer's death was fabricated due to the delayed autopsy reports and the photograph
of his corpse didn't show the Cobain's face.
There were accusations placing blame on the music industry, the media, and even Courtney
Love for Cobain to go into hiding from the public eye.

Princess Diana- The Princess of Wales' tragic death brought together many people and also
brought on a lot of speculation that she faked her death to elude the paparazzi and from
being under public scrutiny.
The theory, of course, states Princess Diana felt imprisoned with a lack of freedom and
felt trapped living a life of privilege.
Following her divorce from Prince Charles, she felt depressed and weighed down and wanted
to seclude herself from the tabloids.
Theories speculate that although she is living a secret life, she maintains contact with
her adult children, Prince William and Prince Harry; who she left when they were still young.

President John F. Kennedy- Some conspiracy theorists are still trying to disprove the
former president's death, with claims stating his last alleged sighting was back in 2013
at the age of 96 years old.
Rumors swirled around that JFK was still alive and breathing when he reached the hospital
after he was shot in Dallas, leading to the belief that although the politician lost copious
amounts of brain tissue, he decided to stage his death to escape the public eye and stay
on Aristotle Onassis' private island.
Some people felt the high demands of being a president and running a country would've
lead to more assassination attempts if JFK survived, and for this reason, others believe
he is still in hiding to this very day.

Tupac- Back in 1996, the rapper was fatally shot in Las Vegas, Nevada.
His death rocked hardcore hip hop and rap fans, and rumors surfaced that he wasn't
dead.
Fans also theorized on how rapper faked his own death at the age of 25 years old by adding
that the perpetrators were never found and new songs kept being released to the public
long after his death.
Sightings of the rapper also surfaced, like pictures of him being spotted in a rally and
photographs of him in Cuba and even a photo of him with Rihanna all were "supported"
evidence that he had been in hiding this whole time.
In another case, they note that on his final album, the rapper changed his name to "Makaveli"
as a reference to brilliant Italian politician who wrote about a false death.

Michael Jackson- The King of Pop's unexpected death generated a media frenzy among fans
and within the Hollywood scene.
Shortly after the musician's death, the tabloid press TMZ spewed hoaxes and gossip by posting
a video on their website that an alleged individual they believed to be Jackson was stepping out
of the medical examiner's van after his supposed time of death.
However if the "Thriller" singer was staged, Jackson's death left a lasting impression
on his doctor Conrad Murray who received a jail sentence of four years for involuntary
manslaughter.
Conspiracy theorists think Murray was involved in the singer's death as he took a significant
pay cut to lead the public that Jackson was dead to keep Jackson away from the media spotlight,
bankruptcy, and a distorted public image.

Elvis Presley- The King of Rock and Roll passed away in 1977, but his death is one of the
lengthiest and most prominent conspiracy theories of all time.
Some reports state a black helicopter landed in Graceland a few hours before his body was
discovered, which possibly meant the musician faked his own death and escaped to Bermuda.
His headstone also misspells his middle name as "Aaron," instead of "Aron."
Also, supposedly a life insurance policy under his name has yet to be claimed.
As of recent, one alleged video uploaded on Youtube captured the "King" in Graceland
still inhabiting his former home.
