BRITISH ENGLISH Pronunciation: ED Endings - Duration: 4:19.
hello everyone and welcome to English
like a native
today we're going to cover a very common
pronunciation mistake and that is words
ending in e d now it's not surprising
that words ending with ed are regularly
mispronounced because ed on the end of a
word can be pronounced in three ways it
can be pronounced id and it can be
pronounced d or t so how do we
know which pronunciation to use well
here are the simple rules that you have
to follow number one if there is a D or a
T just before -ed then you pronounce
it id for example wanted wanted i wanted
to go home admitted admitted
he admitted his mistake recommended
recommended it was recommended to me by
my friend started started we finally
started the lesson number two if the
word end in any of the following sounds
the ed will
be sounded like a T for example washed
washed we washed the car stopped
stopped they stopped playing watched
watched they felt like they were being
watched laughed laughed i laughed all
day walked walked I walked to work and
number three words ending in any other sound the
ed will be pronounced as a D sound
for example tired tired i'm very tired
today cried cried they cried when they
heard the news cleaned cleaned Anna cleaned
her room, I need to. allowed allowed they were
not allowed in the house so there you
have it
three rules to help you to deal with
that troublesome ED ending if you did

A Real Time Study Session -- Study With Me! (no music) - Duration: 35:34.

With no music. So here it is!
LET'S STUDY!
-------------------------------------------
Dr. Eric Zielinski - What Led Me to Natural Health & Essential Oils for Healing - Duration: 2:49.
Ty Bollinger: And so I want to go back to the start with you.
What got you interested in health and nutrition and
eventually essential oils?
Dr. Zielinski: Well, how much time do we have because …
Ty Bollinger: That's kind of an open-ended question.
Dr. Zielinski: It is.
Oh my Lord.
So, 12 years ago, I accepted Christ as my Savior and I had one of those
dramatic, "I was blind, now I see, I was lost, now I'm found" experiences.
And my mentor in Christ, his name is Enoch, and he's 71 years old today.
He will run circles around you and me.
He could still bench-press 250 lbs. and he's the healthiest
person I know.
He's not on any pharmaceuticals and just lives a very clean, healthy life.
And he told me, he looked me straight in the eye — I was a young man at the time — and
he said, "Eric, you have to honor God.
You have to honor your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit."
And so what that did was really imparted to me a
focus and a vision in my life.
So when I started seeking out scripture and when I started seeking out just
how to live and what it was to be a Christian, I also was
seeking out natural health as well.
And so it's been a very great ride.
I've been researching on my own for over a decade—actually, 12 years—natural health solutions and remedies.
It wasn't until recently that I fell in love with essential oils.
And that was because I'm a public health research writer and one of my clients asked
me to write a series of public health reports.
And it was interesting because my wife has been using essential oils since we've been
married, and she has her thing.
She puts them here, there, and she just does her thing.
She has her own little protocol.
I just thought it was smelly stuff.
I had never really given two thoughts about it.
And here's the test though, developed athlete's foot a
few years ago.
I went to the gym, something happened, I got —
what do you think?
Tea tree or melaleuca.
I got some knock-off brand at the health food store and
nothing worked.
And I'm like, "This stuff stinks.
I mean …" Ty Bollinger: Doesn't work.
Dr. Zielinski: I threw it away.
Yeah, I completely dismissed it until I started doing research and, being
trained in how to sift through the literature, it blew my mind.
I started doing research and I started seeing how oregano is more effective at antibiotic-resistant
bacteria like MRSA and different sources of staph strains than current medications.
I started doing research on cancer and you name it — and I
was convinced.
I went to my wife and I'm like, "What are you doing?
And why are you enjoying these?"
And she started explaining to me the difference between a therapeutic-grade oil and the knock-off
brand at the store and, long story short, that's where it all began.
Then I started looking into the different grades and brands.

Is Financial Engineering program for Me? In 5 minutes - Duration: 5:43.
Hey guys, this is Kevin Yang again.
It has been more than 3 years since I posted the last video.
And recently I just came back to YouTube to look at the comments that people left.
First of all, I really want to thank all the viewers of mine, and those who left a comment
who really gave me inspirations to do further videos.
So thank you for all!
To answer the question of what kind of people does financial engineering master's program
really look for?
And if you are really looking to study into those programs, what kind of skills you should
have?
So first I want to make a disclaimer that I only attended one master's of financial
engineering program which is the program at UC Berkeley.
So this video doesn't cover the requirements for other programs.
And for this video I know I'm certainly not the best-looking Asian guy you can find, so
I'm just gonna not to show my face and gonna show you some slides.
Hopefully I can have more views and less dislikes.
So first of all you would have an undergraduate study.
If you want to consider a master's program you want to finish a four-year undergraduate
program preferably in some analytical subjects.
For example if you major statistics or mathematics or computer science, that will be a good plus.
But if you study something like economics, you want to make sure you have a strong analytical
background.
You want to take courses in advanced mathematics, for example not just in calculus but also
in for example partial differential equations, numerical analysis, and some linear algebra,
introduction to probability theory, to statistical modeling.
That's where you want to study, because in a financial engineering program, there is
a lot of math.
And the second thing you want to look for, is some programming backgrounds.
If you are a computer science major, that's good.
If you haven't majored in computer science you might consider taking a course in C++
for example.
Or you can take courses in Java, or Python, or any other programming languages that will
be a plus.
A questions a lot of people ask is should I take CFA?
My answers is CFA is not a necessity but it's definitely a plus.
So if you have a CFA level 1, 2, or even level 3, that's gonna be plus in your profile.
Especially for people who doesn't have a financial background, I thinking getting a CFA actually
shows them that you have an interest in finance.
You must have some kind of financial experiences.
By means of that I mean either you worked in finance before, that means you graduated
from undergraduate study, you worked in finance, you want to further that financial knowledge.
But if you haven't had any exposure in finance, I strongly recommend you to find a financial
internship, like an internship in a bank, in an asset management firm, in a trading
firm, or insurance company will be helpful.
Next is your GRE score.
So the thing is it's necessary to have a GRE or GMAT score.
So you wanna make sure that the mathematic score in your GRE exam is as high as possible.
I think it's almost imperative to have a full mark in your GRE analytical score.
In addition, for the foreigners whose native language isn't English you wanna make sure
you have a good English communication skill, because in my program there is actually an
interview, where they talk to you in English to see how well you can communicate.
Next is your recommendation letters, I recommend you have at least one recommendation letter
from a mathematics professor or a statistics professor that tells them that you have a
very good analytical skill.
Now for racial diversity, I know having said all those analytical stuff, people are saying,
you know, all the Asian people are very good at it.
I think it's true to some extent, which means you will have a lot of Chinese or Indian people
in financial engineering program.
So if you are racially under-represented, and add to the diversity, I think you may
have a plus.
But I can't say it for sure because I'm not the person making that decision.
Another one I want to emphasize is brain teasers.
So in an interview they may ask you some brain teasing questions.
For example, there're two people, one tells the truth, one always tells the lie.
How can you tell who is whom by just asking'em one question.
So that's an example of brain teaser you want to prepare.
There're actually some books on it I think it will be helpful (to read them).
Lastly for personality-wise, if you are interested in using complex models, use financial analysis,
to solve problems, you are very good.
If you are interesting in programming, use mathematics (you're) a very analytical guy, you're
good.
On the other hand, this program is by no means an academic program.
It is a professional program which means you ultimately gonna look for jobs.
Which means the environment can be a little bit competitive, so if you are like very academic
and wanna be a professor that's probably not the environment you are looking for.
You want to be competitive as well.
So in the end, if your passion is to use models to solve real world financial problems, and
if you want to understand what people can do using the power of financial engineering,
the goods and bads of it, and how it applies to the real world, then definitely go for
it.
So that summarizes my video, if you like it, click on subscribe below.
And I will have more videos post up for you in the future.
Thank you

Bangalore Days (Malayalam Movie) | Movie Review by MananPatelTV - Duration: 3:36.
What's up, guys?
My name is Manan.
Welcome back to my channel.
Hope you're having a great day!
Today, I want to talk about south indian movies.
Some of you have recommended me to watch some south indian movie.
All of you recommended "Bangalore Days."
So, I went online and I saw Bangalore Days.
It was such a good movie.
I've never seen any south indian movies but after watching Bangalore Days,
I was really hooked.
And I really enjoyed the movie.
It reminds me Dil Chatha Hai or Zindagi Na Milege Dobara.
That kind of vibe.
It's such a good heart-warming, feel good kind of movie.
There was some kind of sadness to it.
Some kind of drama going on.
Overall, the movie was so good.
I want to talk about some of the things in the movie that I really relate with.
For example, the parents.
In the movie, the parents were really suffocating their kids in many ways.
Like they have this really high expectations.
Like how the society expect them to behave and act and some of the norms.
I was shocked because I can relate with some of the things and I'm sure you can relate
with some of the things, too.
I guess it's really an Indian thing.
It's an indian culture.
But I grew up here in the USA so I understand how my parents really have these expectation
and stuff but not as dramatic as the ones in the movie.
So, I can understand why these kids wanted to get out of the house or wanted to move
away or live in Bangalore.
I think Bangalore is these kids' dream that they had ever since they were little.
They were thinking maybe that when we grow up, we all live in one city.
Ya know?
That's really cool.
And it's really nice to see that these cousins, three of them, they were all cousins.
I thought they were friends.
As I watched the movie go on, I found out that each of them has their own stories.
They have their own kind of problems.
So, I guess it's true what they say that everyone has their own battles.
But each of them depends on each other.
Each of them rely on each other and they all support each other.
So, it's really nice.
Here's my favorite part of the movie was Kuttan.
I don't know how to pronounce his name.
He was trying to find a wife for himself and when he went to airport, he met this really
hot air hostess.
I was like, "Whaat?!"
"How did this guy end up getting her?"
So, when I was watching Bangalore Days for the first time, I didn't really expect anything.
I do not know that south indian cinema can be that really good.
I was really hooked.
I was like, I really need to other south indian movies.
Overall, I really enjoyed it.
I sold the movie to my parents.
I'm like, "You have to see this movie!"
And they've never seen south indian movies and when they saw Bangalore Days, they started
recommending the movie to all of their friends.
And it was really cool.
Everybody really liked it.
For you guys, thank you for recommending me this movie and I look forward to seeing other
movies.
I can't wait to talk to you about Charlie.
That's another movie that you guys recommended me.
Anyway guys, that's all I have to say.
I hope you enjoyed this review.
I really liked the movie.
So, thank you.
And hope you enjoyed this video.
Make sure you subscribe and for giving me a like.
And if you don't like this video, change your taste.
I'll see you guys on the next one.
Peace!

Y'all Got Me Thinking - Duration: 2:37.
Hello, I'm Rogan and welcome.
Today will be a relatively short video.
On my last video, Writing in Sign, I got a lot of comments, thank you for that!
A lot of the comments got me thinking, they were good comments, good points. Thank you.
That's what I want to see on my channel from now on!
All of that made me think that I want to try something new on my channel.
If you didn't know, I have a website. I'll link it below and link it in all of my descriptions from now on.
Whenever I post a video, I always post it on my website (if I remember).
And you can sign up for emails, so you can get updates whenever I post something new.
That's not the new thing. I've had the website for a while.
The new thing is: I want to take the transcripts of videos...
Edit it to make it work for a blog post, and post it on my website. Why?
For those who prefer to read, you can read it instead.
Or if in the future, you want to refer to my video, but don't feel like watching the video again--
You can go to my blog post, quickly skim it and find what you're looking for.
If I do this, I'll always link to the blog post in the video, and the blog post will link back to the video.
So you can find it either way. Everything will be linked!
However, I think I'll do this for only my "educational" videos like ASL Ponderings...
My recent one - Why I Prefer Queer, Deaf Awareness Month from September.
It won't include-- I won't do a blog post for my traveling, or for fun videos, no.
Because those travel videos, you won't really need to refer to those.
But for the educational videos, or discussion videos, absolutely will want to refer to those.
So... I'm not doing it for EVERYTHING.
But if I do make a blog post for that video, it will have a link directly to that blog post.
But if not, it will have just the general website link.
So... What do you think about this idea? Is it a good idea or a completely horrible idea?
Let me know what you think! And... I will post another video hopefully soon, in the next couple days.
Thanks for watching!

Testing Medibang Paint [ Voice Over ] - Duration: 15:22.
Hi everyone! How are you?
As you may guess today's speedpaint is a Voice Over. I felt like talking to you all for a bit :)
You can also see that today I'm not using Paint Tool SAI as I usually do
For this one I decided to try a program called Medibang Paint Pro.
So today I'll explain you some things about this program for you to know it a little better.
Medibang is a totally free drawing software
You can also use it on your phone/tablet.
I'll leave you the link of the official website in the description box
and you can check it later and read the instructions to download, install and use it.
It's a very light program, installation was really fast and easy.
To take full advantage of it you should create an account on their website
that way you'll be able to download lots of materials, brushes
or creating your own custom ones and then uploading them to the Internet
so other people can download and use them. That way we can share our knowledge with other artists.
I've tested Medibang using my old but loyal Wacom Bamboo Pen
and pressure worked perfecly fine. It doesn't seem to have big compatibility issues with graphic tablets.
Let's talk a bit about the brushes.
At first sight they may look a bit limited but as I said you can download more by creating an account.
And you can actually customize them a lot to fit your own taste and needs.
Brushes aren't located all over the left side of the screen (like in Photoshop)
You can find them by clicking on the Pen/Brush icon at the top, and then moving to the bottom box.
Okay, let's start by comenting the bad things I've found.
There were a few things I found uncomfortable from the beggining.
You can open several files at the same time but it won't let you move them along the workspace
so you can see more than 1 file at the same time.
So I couldn't have the reference of the character and my illustration open side by side at the same time.
However there's this very interesting window at the top left
It is literally a window where you can open any picture to have them as a reference
Hence the name... "Reference"
It still felt a bit weird for me to use it, but I must admit it is a nice thing that not every program has (like SAI).
And that way the lack of visualizing more than 1 file at the same time is less noticeable.
What more?... uhm...
Ah! It lacks of a... how could I say it? ...
Rotating Wheel?
Meaning it does have a button to rotate to the left and another one to rotate to the right
but it doesn't have a button to do both things at the same time.
(Maybe it does have it but I really couldn't find it or even configure it to my liking)
Again that is almost no noticeable because you can do it by using a bar that appears there
when you pass with your mouse over it.
Basically you just need to drag the bar to one side or another to rotate the canvas.
It's really easy.
But since I'm used to do it with the R on my keyboard it felt a bit uncomfortable having to do it on the screen.
The few options to edit colors, such as Brightness/Contrast and Hue/Saturation
also work slighlty different than they do on SAI.
They also felt a bit weird at first.
I think we can finally move to the positive things! ♥
The program is very light but that doesn't mean it is too simple!
It has Text tools, Ruler tools for perspective,
it can also save files in psd (photoshop) format
which is really handy if you need to export it to other programs
because nowadays most of the drawing programs can save and load .psd files
Stabilizer works well too, is very similar to the SAI one.
Both the Bucket Tool and the Magic Wand can recognize what's drawn on the picture right now
and use those parameters to select or fill certain parts of the drawing easily.
It's a similar option to the Selection Source that SAI has.
Comes with Shape Tools to make circles, polygons (SAI doesn't have any of these yet).
So it's a plus :)
There's also a tool to make Gradients like in Photoshop.
there's no such a thing on SAI for the time being.
On SAI you have to make them manually.
The brushes can achieve really big sizes.
Comes with 3 options for layers: one is to block the layer's limit which would be Preserve Opacity on SAI.
A clipping group option too.
and the third one allows you to block the layer totally to prevent you from modifying it by mistake.
Photoshop has this kind of option but SAI doesn't yet.
Comes with some Blending Modes for layers as well.
The usual ones like Multiply, Screen, Overlay, etc.
Don't expect it to have a huge list of modes xD
And also comes with a Gaussian Blur option. Again this feature is available on Photoshop but not SAI.
And what I like a LOT from Medibang is that is has an Auto-Save option!
You can set it to your liking so it auto-saves the file every 5, 10, 20 minutes...
Yeah some programs may do like temporary save files
to prevent you from loosing everything in case the program crashes.
But this is the first time I've ever seen a program that actually saves your file automatically.
Just like when you do it by yourself, but with this option the program does it for you.
I'm not saying we should forget about saving manually with this!
But I think it's very nice that there's an auto-save option
because I'm sure many of you have lost at least one or two drawings
just because one day you forgot to save for about 2 hours, the program crashed suddenly
and the drawing got destroyed uwu
At this point I had to switch to Paint Tool SAI to finish this piece.
Not because the program wasn't working well
but because I was getting tired of not knowing where everything was placed
and this was also a commission so I chose finishing it in a program I knew and work comfortably
rather than risking for the picture to be of a lower quality
because I didn't have enough experience to manage this program or because of the stress I was getting
by this lack of experience xD
So, let's sum things up!
Overall I think Medibang is a really good program.
It's pretty complete.
I'd say it's something in the middle of the simple, yet effective, Paint Tool SAI
and more complex drawing program like Clip Studio Paint or the well know Photoshop.
It's totally free which is really kind from them, specially for begginers that
are still learning how to use digital tools and don't want to spend too much money on certain things.
I know it also comes with tools and options to make Comics
but I haven't tried any of those so I can't say a thing about it.
But I wanted to let you know that it has some tools for that, which is already more than what SAI has currently.
The few bad things I've pointed out about the program
are all because of my personal preferences.
It's not like the program doesn't work well or the tools are bad or anything like that
I'm just used to work in a certain way, with certain tools and settings
so when changing to a new program things will be placed in a different way or work differently
and it's hard to get used to those changes at the beggining.
But overall I'd give Medibang a high grade!
Being a free program I did NOT expect it to be of any good.
but it met my expectations in the end.
And as you can see you can make great quality illustrations with Medibang.
If you're looking for your first digital drawing program
I'd totally recommend Medibang.
Or if you're looking for an alternative to the one you're currently using, I'd recommend it too.
By testing different programs you'll eventually find the one where you work more comfortably.
We're finished with the Medibang talk, but since I see there's still some time left
would you like for me to try to explain you my coloring method for a bit?
(since I get that requested a lot on my social media)
As I said, I will TRY. You know I'm not the best at explaining certain things uwu
As you may have noticed, lately I started to color my illustrations like this:
I make a preliminary shadow over each color layer.
It's kind of a simple shadow, sometimes imprecise too
and the color may not be the final one neither.
The function of this preliminary shadow
is that once everything is colored
I could tell if everything looks like I wanted or if something must be fixed.
If I don't like a certain part, I change it.
So once everything look good, I go back to every shadow layer
Click on the Preserve Opacity of that said layer.
So I can paint on the shadow layer without going farther than its limits
and then I add more color, darkness...
I try to give it more expressiveness or depth to each shadow.
It's not necessary to use a darker color
you can also use a more saturated color
or quite the opposite, a brighter color so it gives the picture kind of an unrealistic or magic feeling.
Trust me, it can work very well.
Like I did on the upper part of the legs
the tips of the hair (which you'll see later)
or some clothing folds.
While I work on each shadow I also make use of some Blending Modes
such as Overlay, Luminosity, Lumi&Shade...
I don't have a specific rule to use them
I just use them when I think I need them to create certain effects I want to achieve.
If you need a further explanation about those Blending Modes
you may want to check this other video.
Last I add some lights on a new layer if I think I need them
and we're done! :)
Once the illustration is basically finished
I go up to the lineart layer (or group of layers)
I create a new layer, clip it to the lineart
and I start coloring on it to change the lineart colors to something softer.
If you already like how your black lines look (or whatever color you use for your lines)
you don't have to change them.
But I dislike how black lines look on my illustrations that's why I change them at the end.
I think that way I can give the picture a softer or sweeter look.
Lately I've also been adding some white lines on my illustrations.
I do that in order to create more depth or separate some parts of the picture.
To do that I just merge all the layers into one.
I make a new layer and clip it to where the drawing is.
And draw some white lines with whatever random brush.
It's also an optional step.
Some months ago I didn't do that, so many in the future I'll stop doing it
and then I'll go back to using that method and so on...
It's just a little detail to make your illustrations funnier.
Lastly we move to Photoshop
and fight with it for a while until a good background comes out xD
I'll show you how to make backgrounds and the color correction and effects I use
in another video, okay? ^w^
If you're looking for more tutorials about coloring
you may also check this one.
There I explain some tricks that you may find useful.
That's it for today! :)
I hope this kind of quick "review" about Medibang was useful for you guys.
And I hope you've enjoyed this video as well.
See you on the next one! Bye ♥

I MOVED TO SOUTH KOREA! | Let's talk about kdramas - Duration: 2:01.
JANUARY 26TH, 2017
I started to watch korean dramas when I was 18 years old
and I remember back then the mere thought of setting foot on Korea seemed impossible
With time, my interest in Korean-related stuff increased
I started to learn more about the culture and got interested in learning the language
One day I decided to share my love for asian stuff with other people
and I started a youtube channel called Hablemos de Doramas
which surprisingly was very well received by the audience and soon became a community of
people like me and who I started to call 'doramaniacs'
Doramaniacs, today I want to tell you that one of my dreams became true... I moved to South Korea
I had been thinking this over for almost 2 years and I had been saving money to achieve this goal
So I packed up my illusions and flew to a country 11,543 km away from my own
to start an adventure that I'll be sharing with you through this channel
Doramaniacs, I wish my adventures somehow inspire you to follow your own dreams
because remember that if I can do it, so can you.
Fighting doramaniacs! Greeting from Tania, from South Korea.
