The greatest merit of the people of Iman is that..

They believe in The Unseen!

And the greatest Unseen is Allah, Exalted His Entity..

"Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen.."

When they are alone..

not seen by any person..

and not heard too

Though, they keep the Glory of the Especially Merciful, the Entirely Merciful, inside their hearts..

they fear Allah and observe Him..

in private and in public as well

They fear Him and observe Him..

in hearts and in actions..

"Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen "

This is the best merit of the righteous people..

"will have.." [ For them] i. e. as if it is going to be belonging to them!

"forgiveness.."

i.e. While going to Allah, it is possible to commit few sins..

even if they were minimal..

what will happen then..! Allah will forgive us doing them

But, the reward is not only to forgive mistakes..

"will have forgiveness and great reward."

The great reward is Al-Jannah,

and with that is seeing the Face of Allah..

"Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward."

He did't say that, they fear their Lord seeing Him!

Because, As logic indicates, and understanding as well..

if a person could fear Allah, not seeing Him..

No doubt, he will fear Him, if he could see Him!

"Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward."

"And conceal your speech or publicize it; "

Why?

Because, secrets for Him are well-known, and hearts to Him are revealing

"And conceal your speech or publicize it; "

"indeed, He.." blessed His Name and Glorified His Attributes..

" is Knowing of that within the breasts."

the [verb in the order form] here.. "conceal" [Asero].. is aimed to make them helpless..

and to show them how Allah is capable of knowing [despite everything].. His knowledge is great.

The person who is interpreting Qur'an must be able to comprehend what Allah is saying, precisely..

So as not to give the words of Allah, Almighty a meaning that is not meant by Allah..

And this mistake is usually done by those who are not skilled in the Arabic language..

We must be very sure about the meaning of the verse..

Allah, Almighty said:"He is Knowing of that within the breasts."

because Allah, Almighty wants to prove that they are helpless in this regard..

As He, Almighty knows what is in secret and in public..

The chapter of verbs in the [order form], is a skilled technique in rhetoric

The experts said that the verb in the order form, has many applications..

each one has a different meaning..

and they can detect the differences by observing the overall meaning of the verse..

Allah, Almighty said: "And conceal your speech or publicize it;"

" indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts."

Then, if a person would wonder.. why!!?

the answer to him comes next: "Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted?"

So, Allah, Almighty is the creator.. and He is the One who knows best about His creations..

and in another place Allah, Almighty said:

"Allah is most knowing of where He places His message."

He, SAW, said to his daughter Fatima:

she was with him, one afternoon.. this was at the day he died..

he said: 'Jibrail is used to revise Qur'an with me once every year..

But, this year, he revised it with me two times..

and for me..

this is the end of my time..

So,

we can deduct.. take a lesson from this.. there are hints..

they face man..

But, it is not easy to get them.. not anyone can!

clear..?.. Yes!

So, the prophet, SAW, understood..

from that event that Jibrail has revised the Qur'an with him two times that year..

he understood that next year he is not coming!

Because, the prophet, SAW, will be dead by that time..

This is what he has comprehended..

So, he, SAW, said to his daughter: 'And I don't see it..

other than the end of my time.'

This case here..

it is not about knowing of the unseen..

Of course, I know that the prophet, SAW, is a prophet and he can be told by revelation about things..

don't argue with me from this aspect..

But, I mean.. there are signs..

They occur..

.. happen..

Omar, may Allah be pleased with him.. was doing Hajj at the same year that he was killed..

At Hajj and while he was throwing the stones[Jamrat], he was hit on his head by a stone..

it was crowded then, as it gets today..

And Omar, may Allah be pleased with him.. his head was bald..

So, after he was hit, he bled..

then a man called him: 'O Omar.'

So, a man who knows how to grasp such signs.. he said:

'By Allah, the Ameer of the believers will not be after this year..

he will not be at Hajj after this year..

because he bled and he was called by his bare name, without his title as the Ameer..

And Omar, may Allah be pleased with him.. didn't come to Hajj after that time

This is the point..

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them.. he said to Ali

during the war between people of Iraq and of Sham..

[better not to mention the Sahaba..]

I say; between people of Iraq and of Sham..

He said: 'Let me plot for you'

then Ali, may Allah be pleased with him said to him; 'forget about your plot and that of Moawia..

I only know the sword, with which I differentiate between the truth and the false..'

he told him that; 'I said so, because..

the people of Sham obey Moawia..

and soon they will have different opinions about you'

After some time..

After few months from this conversation..

The riot began..

And the people of Iraq were divided about Ali may Allah be pleased with him ..

At that time, Ali said his famous words, he said: 'By Allah, Ibn Abbas views the unseen through a transparent screen!'

' .. Ibn Abbas views the unseen through a thin screen!

I'm talking now, about this thin cover.

it is something from Allah.

This topic has many other issues that are related to it..

The most important of these is..

the dream interpreters..

This is an important point.. It deserves study..

The believer sees the vision..

then the interpreter..

would say; so and so would happen!

and most of those who are skilled in interpreting dreams..

they give correct interpretation.. and what they say, happens as they've said..

So, how can we categorize this..?

To explain this.. there is an angel..

Allah, Almighty has assigned him to be with his servants when they sleep..

and Allah has exposed some of the Unseen to this Angel..

For example, Allah, Almighty said:

"Except whom He has approved of messengers,"

it is correct that this Angel is also meant here in this verse..

So, this Angel gives symbols in the dreams..

in visions..

So, the person having vision, will see these signs in his dream..

then next morning..

he tells the vision that he had at night, to an interpreter..

The interpreter doesn't know the Unseen..

But he can read the message given by the Angel..

to this person..

Because it is a righteous vision..

and as long as we know that it is a righteous vision, so it is from the Angel..

other wise, we don't call it a righteous vision..

because the prophet, SAW said; ' what is left after prophethood are the good tidings..

.. the righteous vision seen by the believer or seen for him.'

So, the interpreter tells true things because of this..

This is the best thing that can be said in this topic of vision interpretation.

So, it is not possible to deny that completely..

Nor claiming that it is from the Unseen that is unreachable.. impossible..

Because, interpretation of visions is documented.. proved..

So many Muslims have seen visions..

these visions were interpreted..

and they happened exactly as the interpreter has said!

Allah told us about the conversation that had happened between Pharaoh and Moses

that Pharaoh asked Moses..

"[Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?""

Allah said that Moses answered him, Allah said:

"[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets.""

and from saying;"My Lord neither errs nor forgets."

the scholars defined the knowledge of Allah, Almighty as;

'Allah, Almighty has knowledge that neither it is preceded by a state of being unacquainted with, nor it is proceeded by forgetfulness'

'neither it is preceded by a state of being unacquainted with'.. was deducted from; "neither errs"

'nor it is proceeded by forgetfulness.'..was deducted from; "nor forgets".

And [in general] this knowledge can be divided into many divisions..

one category is to divide the knowledge into;

Unseen and witnessed..

The witnessed, i.e. that we can see visualize..

that we declare its presence..

We've seen it with our eyes..

or its presence is perceived by any of our five senses.

What is left is the knowledge that we didn't see..

Only Allah, Almighty knows this, the hidden in hearts and in actions..

Allah, Almighty told us that He knows everything..

Allah, Almighty said:

"Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah,"

"and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.""

And He said [exalted His remembrance]..

telling us that the unseen is locked with keys..

.. at Surat Al-An'am.. there,He mentioned this in general;

"And with Him are the keys of the Unseen"

But, here Allah didn't tell us what are these keys?!

So, this general idea given here at Surat Al-An'am..

is explained in more details at the end of Surat Luqman..

The prophet, SAW said..

as narrated by Imam Ahmad in authenticated true Hadith..

Ahmad, May Allah put mercy upon him, he said;

Waqie had told me.. that Sufian had told him.. by Abdullah Ibn Dinar.. by Ibn Omar..

that the prophet, SAW, said;

' the keys of the Unseen are five, none knows them except Allah..

then he recited the verse; "Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour.."

" and sends down the rain.."

" and knows what is in the wombs."

"And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow,.."

"and no soul perceives in what land it will die."

Blessed brothers and sisters.. these are five..

the keys of the Unseen that Allah has told us that they are five..

and our prophet, SAW, has told us about them in details.

This Unseen..

Allah, Almighty said that it has five keys..

What are these five keys?

Allah, said; "Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour"

i.e. the time of its occurrence..

and Allah alone knows this time..

neither a close angel nor a prophet who is sent by Allah..

And, Jibrail, the best among the Angels has asked..

a question, for the purpose of education,..

..not for informing,..

a question that is given to educate others, not looking for information..

He asked the best among humans.. the best among creations..May Salat and Salam be upon him..

He said; 'Tell me about The Hour!'

He answered; ' the person who is questioned doesn't know more than the one who is asking!'

i.e. My knowledge about it is as your knowledge, just the same!

This conversation which happened between Jibrail and our prophet, May Salam be upon both of them..

had been explained more in Qur'an, Allah, Almighty said:

"None will reveal its time except Him."

"It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth."

And even more, Allah told us that it happens suddenly..

It won't happen gradually..

Allah, Almighty said; " It will not come upon you except unexpectedly."

"They ask you as if you are familiar with it. "

"Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah,"

"but most of the people do not know.""

And The Hour, is one of the major topics that the prophet, SAW, has discussed with the disbelievers from Quraish..

Because they disbelieved in the Hour, the Resurrection and coming out of graves..

and they disbelieved in the oneness of Allah..

and they disbelieved in the message of our prophet, SAW

These three issues..

that are related to the Hour in general..

are among what Allah has commanded His prophet to swear about them

Allah has ordered His prophet to swear by the name of His Lord..

in three sites in Qur'an..

at Yunus.. at Saba.. and at At-Taghabon..

At all these places the issue was about the Resurrection.. the coming out of graves.. and The Hour.

But, Allah Almighty has made pre indications for the Hour.. signs..

And this is not contradicting with that it will occur suddenly..

But we know.. from authenticated Sunnah that the Hour begins on a Friday..

and Allah has put pre indications for its occurrence..

The scholars have categorized them into Major signs and Minor signs..

Then He said, blessed His Name and Glorified His Attributes;

"and sends down [Al-Ghaith] "

i.e. the rain..

But it is called [Al-Ghaith] in Qur'an, when it is a mercy..

and when it is called [Matar], this means that it is not as a mercy..

So, with mercy it is called [Ghaith]..

Allah, Almighty said:

"And it is He who sends down [Al-Ghaith] after they had despaired.."

"and spreads His mercy. And He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy."

So, bringing [Al-Ghaith].. is part of the Unseen.. that only Allah knows..

Some one might say; But can't you see.. when the clouds collect..

and with the help of the institutes of Meteorology and Ecology.. etc.

they all give predictions..

we say these are only predictions.. and speculations..

They have the indications obvious..

and it is legitimated [Jaiz] by Sharia for them to give their speculations..

But, still no one can be sure that [Al-Ghaith] will fall..

It is often that clouds aggregate above people.. then they pass without raining..

And in the opposite.. small clouds might bring rain..

and by the mercy of Allah people have [Ghaith]..

Allah, Almidhty said: "and sends down [Al-Ghaith].."

"and knows what is in the wombs.."

Allah, Almighty made the uterus as the site where the the semen-drop settles..

Then by the will of Allah, pregnancy occurs and then the delivery..

Linguistically, the word [Ma].. It is a Relative Pronoun.

and a term that indicates generalization..

So, the meaning of..

Allah, Almighty said: "and knows what is in the wombs"

i.e. Allah alone knows ..

and no one else can know that..

what is inside the uterus..

Is it going to be born.. or not?

Is it going to be born fully developed.. or immature?

Is it going to be happy.. or miserable?

Is it going to be rich.. or poor?

Is it going to be guided.. or lost?

All of that.. and more.. Is it going to be a male.. or a female..?

All of that.. and more.. They strictly belong only to Allah's Knowledge..

"and knows what is in the wombs"

Suppose one would say..

The modern medicine..

has means to see inside the womb..

and to tell if the foetus is a male or a female..

We say that this is not against the indication of the verse..

because the modern medicine uses waves or rays technology..

and this technology makes this thing visible..

So, now it is not Unseen, but it is visible..

and even the old woman, who is illiterate..

if she looks at that photo.. she could see if the male organ is visible or not..

and if the foetus is a male or a female..

Of course, this is different from the meaning of the verse..

not what is meant by Allah..

Because Allah, has mentioned this verse to praise Himself..Glorified and Exalted..

i.e. the context of the verse was to Glorify the Lord, Almighty..

So, it is not possible to turn down this great context, with such a small point

because, the situation is greater than that..

"and knows what is in the wombs"

including all what has to do with this foetus..

Birth.. growth..

misery.. happiness.. life .. death..

provision.. poverty..

All of these are not known..

except to Allah, Almighty..

"and knows what is in the wombs"

Then Allah, Almighty said:

" And no soul perceives what it will [Taksib=have, get, earn] tomorrow,"

Notice this form of expression..

Allah didn't say, And no soul perceives what it will [do] tomorrow.

Because, a person might have a planner.. an annual or a daily schedule.. [about what to do next]

some people do so..

important individuals or others..

But, what is meant here..

are these..

schedules..

these tables that we are documenting and recording..

are they going to be implemented..? are they going to be actually happening..?

Only Allah, Almighty knows this ..

Are we going to be prevented from doing them.. because of death?!

.. or because of changes in the plans..?!

.. or because of illness..?!

.. or because of any other reason..?!

And we can't enumerate or count such possible reasons..

All of these matters are known only by Allah..

Allah, Almighty said:

" And no soul perceives what it will [Taksib] tomorrow,"

How many who has presented their goods, thinking that they won't be sold..!!

but, by the will of Allah, it is sold..

How many who has presented their goods, thinking that they won't last long..!!

but, it remains, unsold!!

These issues..

only Allah, Almighty knows them..

and at the end of this talk I will explain the advantages of this knowledge..

The fifth point is.. Allah, Almighty said;

"and no soul perceives in what land it will die."

Death is true.. a fact..

the fact is that the soul leaves the body..

So, when the soul is outside the body.. the person dies..

It happens..

i.e. the body stops moving and the soul goes.. to [Illiean]..

in case of believers..

or to [Sijin]..

in case of disbelievers..

What is important here is that, Allah says;

"And no soul perceives what it will [Taksib] tomorrow,"

"and no soul perceives in what land it will die."

The person doesn't know the place where his life will reach an end!

because if he knows, for sure, that he is going to die there, may be he won't go there at all..

Knowing that..

we learn an important lesson..

It is that, it is not an act of worshiping Allah, to get-away from death, nor to cause oneself to die!

not to protect oneself from death, nor to cause oneself to die!

The evidence from Hadith, for the second part.. the prophet, SAW said;

' Ask Allah for wellbeing '

and the evidence for the first part..

that Allah didn't ask us to worship him by causing ourselves to die..

is that the person doesn't know where he is going to die..

and of course, he can't bring death to himself..

because, death do not ask for permission to come!!

And in the authenticated stories of tradition.. in religion..

It was said that Dawd, peace be upon him, was a strongly jealous man..

So, when he leaves his house, he locks the door with a key..

to protect his women inside the house, after he leaves..

And he opens the door after he is back from his court of sovereign.. the royal sitting

Once, he went out and locked the door.. as usual..

Suddenly, they've noticed a man in the middle of the house..

then a woman, one of the wives of Dawd, saw the man..

she screamed.. called the others..

the family of Dawd.. his wives and his daughters..

She said:

' Who is this stranger in the middle of the house?..

By Allah, Dawd will make a tribulation for you, today..

i.e. he will make this hard for you.. he will ask you how could he get in?!

Later on, Dawd, peace be upon him, came and entered the house..

He saw the man standing..

then Dawd asked him..

Who are you?

he said; ' I'm the one who do not ask for permission to come..

.. and the kings can't prevent me.'

Then, he understood, peace be upon him.

that this man is the Angel of death.

So, he said; 'welcome..

I accept meeting my Lord..

Then he died, and the Angel of death took his soul..

As Allah said:

"Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you."

"Then to your Lord you will be returned."

The point is that, we don't know where is the land on which we will die!!

The worship that we are to do, is the righteous deeds..

so that if we are to die..

we would die after doing a big deal of good deeds, then we are ready to meet Allah, Almighty..

There is something that is nice to mention here..

Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah, Almighty, be pleased with him..

at the year 18 of Hijra..

There was an epidemic of Plague, at Al-Sham, it was called the plague of Amawas..

after the name of a village there..

it was near Beit Al-Maqdis.. between Al-Ramla and Al-Quds..

At that time it was the [korah].. i.e. a small town..

The Muslim soldiers were there, under the command of Abu Obaida, may Allah please him and be pleased with him..

Then, Omar, at Al-Madinah had the news..

that the plague is spreading close to Amawas..

that town..

And Omar..

was honoring and respectful to Abu Obaida..

So, he was afraid that the plague would infect him..

So, he sent him a letter, asking him to come..

to come to Al-Madina..

and he told him that he wants him to come for an important matter..

So, when the letter from Omar..

reached Abu Obaida, he understood..

what was behind the letter..

and that Omar was asking him to come because he was merciful to him..

he didn't want to lose him..

After that.. Abu Obaida sent back a letter to Omar..

asking him to excuse him, as he is not coming..

and asking him to pardon him..

he said to him; 'O Ameer of believers, I'm just a soldier..

among the Muslim soldiers..

and I don't feel that I'm better than them..

we will accept, what Allah would choose for us, as His will..

After the letter from Abu Obaida has reached Omar.. he felt emotional.. and he cried..

then the people asked him, O Ameer of believers, did Abu Obaida die?

He answered; 'As if he did?'

As if he did.. i.e. consider him dead..

This expression, is in Arabic language.. in old poems and in others..

Bottom line..

Abo Obaida didn't leave his place..

Then the plague entered Amawas..

he became infected..

became sick..

So, he, may Allah be pleased with him, stood up to give a speech to his soldiers.. of Al-Sham

He said; ' This illness..

it is a mercy from your Lord..

it is the request of your prophet..

and it is how righteous people before you, have died.'

Then he died after that.. after few days..

Abo Obaida has put someone after him on command at Al-Sham..

he was Muadh Ibn Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him and please him..

Then, Muadh Ibn Jabal did as Abo Obaida did..

So, may Allah be pleased with him..

he said a speech similar to that of Abo Obaida..

He said; ' This illness is a mercy from your Lord..

it is the request of your prophet..

and it is how righteous people before you, have died..'

and he added more..

'And I ask Allah to give the family of Muadh, some of it.'

So, Abdul-Rahman, his son, has got infected before his father.. then he died..

Then Muadh had the infection in his hand..

That was the site of his primary infection..

So, He, may Allah be pleased with him and please him, was used to look at his hand..

and he was longing to meet Allah..

as he is already infected now..

He was eager to meet Allah.. overturning his hands.. saying..

it is not my pleasure to have you with Dunyah and all of its content..

because it is now the reason that his sins are forgiven.. and his rank is elevated.. and for meeting his Lord..

But, as I said, the person must not go for the purpose of death..

and to run to it..

because the prophet, SAW, has forbidden this..

He said; 'Don't wish to meet the enemy..

but when you meet him.. be patient and ask Allah for wellbeing..

And he advised his uncle Al-Abbas.. he said to him; 'O uncle, ask Allah for wellbeing.'

But, when the ordeal happens.. and the believer is having it..

and what he was avoiding has happened..

Then he must be certain that what has missed him, wasn't intended to happen to him..

and what has happened to him, wasn't intended to miss him..

The best thing to do, is to show Allah a submissive soul, that accepts His will..

contented with His favor..

eager to meet Him.

This is a sublime rank..

the most supreme status..

The greatest position of the followers of the straight path of Allah

The reason of saying this story about Muadh..

was to explain the verse;

"and no soul perceives in what land it will die."

"Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."

What is the lesson behind all of this.. about the knowledge of the Unseen..

The lesson is to know..

that the knowledge of the Unseen is only known to the Lord, Almighty

but some sects.. do a mistake..

they glorify some of their Imams, and so, they claim that they know the Unseen!

these sects belong to Islam..

but they claim that the Unseen is..

known for those whom they glorify..

Though some of these glorified persons are Imams..

righteous.. pious persons.. no doubts about that..

and it is not their mistake that..

these people are glorifying them this way!

As, it is not the mistake of Isa..

nor of the Angels.. when others worship them!

Similar to this..

You might learn that there is a knowledge.. what is called the knowledge of Al-Jafr!

[Al-Jafr] is ..

the male of goats or sheep..

at the age of 4 months..

And linguistically the meaning covers a wider range, it means every thing that is small..

They say that this knowledge is..

.. and they attribute it to Ali Ibn Abu Talib.. sometimes to Ja'far As-Sadiq.. or to others, some of their students..

That they have written on the leather of a [Jafr] a knowledge..

about what is going to happen till the Resurrection Day!

The events..

Some of them say that it is not about everything till the Resurrection Day..

But it is about what is going to happen to the family members of the prophet[ Al Al-Bait]..

And this knowledge is only about them..

Actually..

this is refutable for two reasons..

The first reason is that, we don't have the original copy of this book..

Where is that book?

so as to prove its Legitimacy!

The second reason is that..

this knowledge does not have a line of narration.. [Sanad]

so as to study it and to prove its authenticity..

to approve it or not.

So, for both of these reasons..

The absence of the original copy of the book..

and the absence of the line of narration.. that might lead to the truth..

Both reasons are enough to..

to refuse this knowledge.. that it is not original.

The bottom line is.. to know that The Unseen..

strictly belongs to the Lord, Almighty..

And what the prophets were told..

from the knowledge of Unseen..

it is limited to the amount of knowledge that was given to them..

Allah. Almighty said:

"Except whom He has approved of messengers, "

So, Allah, Almighty has told us that He tells some of His prophets about some of the knowledge of the Unseen..

and this what He has told them..

(for an example, in case of our prophet, SAW,..)

It is only one of three things..

An unknown information about things that had happened in the past..

e.g. telling the prophet, SAW, about the story of the people of the Cave.. the story of Yusuf.. and about Noah..

this is the first one!

And telling him about the present..

at the time of the prophet, SAW,..

e.g. telling him, SAW, that the people of Quraish will be defeated at the Day of Badr..

And..

.. telling him that they will open Makkah.. etc. .. about things that had happened when he was alive..

The third one, is telling him about things that will happen after his death..

e.g. telling him, SAW, about opening of Bait Al-Maqdis..

and telling him about the killing of Omar and Othman..

and that they will die as martyrs..

and telling him about the opening of Constantinople ..

All of that had happened..

and what will happen after his death has another part that is..

other than what had happened until today,

.. what didn't happen yet..

e.g. telling us, SAW, about the coming of Ad-Dajjal..

and the descent of Isa Ibn Maryam..

and the coming of Al-Mahdi.. etc. ..

This is from the Unseen that the prophet, SAW, has told us about it..

that Allah had told him about it..

Brothers and sisters.. if we learned that..

only Allah knows the Unseen..

then we need to trust this Lord who knows the Unseen..

and we waive all our issues to Him

and we entrust all our affair to Him..

Allah told us about the righteous servant:

"and I entrust my affair to Allah . Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants."

The believer can't feel comfort inside his heart..

unless he submits all his affairs to Allah..

and he will not submit his affairs to Allah..

unless he is confident that all the Unseen belong to Allah..

Allah, Almighty said:

"And to Allah belong the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth and to Him will be returned the matter, all of it,"

So, Allah, Almighty has explained that the Unseen belong to Him..

and the matters will be returned to Him..

then He said:

"so worship Him and rely upon Him. "

So, as long as the matter will be returned to him..

we are committed to worship Him..

and It is His right that we must worship Him..

and, as long as the Unseen belong to Him..

we are committed to relay upon Him..

because we do not know what will happen next in our lives..

and mostly, we are not knowing where we are heading to..

So, it is better to entrust our affairs to Allah..

to be more oriented in our matters..

in our living.. and our time..

in our Deen and Dunya..

entrusting everything to our Lord, Almighty to manage them..

and applying the legitimate means, at the same time.

May Allah make us succeed in pleasing Him..

and guide us all to the path of the righteous people..

and make us among those who listens to the speech and follows the best of it.

Salat and Salam be upon Muhammad and his family..

And, all praise be due to Allah , Lord of the worlds .

From Dreaming To Doing — Shonda Rhimes Inspiring! [Motivational Video] - Duration: 4:08.

When people give these kinds of speeches

they usually tell you all kinds of wise

and heartfelt things. They have wisdom to impart.

They have lessons to share.They tell you:

Follow your dreams.

Listen to your spirit. Change the world.

Make your mark. Find your inner voice

and make it sing. Embrace failure. Dream.

Dream and dream big.

As a matter of fact, dream and don't

stop dreaming until all of your

dreams come true.

I think that's crap. I think a lot of

people dream and while they are busy

dreaming, the really happy people,

the really successful people,

the really interesting, engaged, powerful people,

are busy doing. The dreamers. They stare at the sky

and they make plans

and they hope and they talk about it endlessly.

And they start a lot of sentences with "I want to be ..."

or "I wish." "I want to be a writer."

"I wish I could travel around the world."

And they dream of it.

The buttoned-up ones meet for cocktails

and they brag about their dreams,

and the hippie ones have vision boards and they meditate about their dreams.

Maybe you write in journals about your dreams

or discuss it endlessly with

your best friend or your girlfriend or

your mother. And it feels really good.

You're talking about it, and you're planning it.

Kind of. You are blue-skying your life.

And that is what everyone says you

should be doing. Right? I mean, that's what Oprah and Bill Gates

did to get successful, right?

No. Dreams are lovely. But they are just dreams.

Fleeting, ephemeral, pretty.

But dreams do not come true just because you dream them.

It's hard work that makes things happen.

It's hard work that creates change.

So, Lesson One, I guess is: Ditch the dream

and be a doer, not a dreamer.

Maybe you know exactly

what it is you dream of being, or maybe you're paralyzed

because you have no idea

what your passion is. The truth is, it doesn't matter.

You don't have to know. You just have to keep moving forward.

You just have to keep doing something,

seizing the next opportunity,

staying open to trying something new.

It doesn't have to fit your vision of the perfect job

or the perfect life. Perfect is boring and dreams are not real.

Just ... do. So you think, "I wish I could travel."

Great. Sell your crappy car,

buy a ticket to Bangkok, and go. Right now. I'm serious.

You want to be a writer? A writer is someone who writes every day, so start writing.

You don't have a job? Get one. Any job.

Don't sit at home waiting for the magical opportunity.

Who are you? Prince William? No.

Get a job.

Go to work. Do something until you can do

something else. I did not dream of being

a TV writer. Never, not once when I was here

in the hallowed halls of the Ivy League,

did I say to myself, "Self, I want to write TV."

You know what I wanted to be?

I wanted to be Nobel Prize-winning author

Toni Morrison. That was my dream.

I blue sky'ed it like crazy.

I dreamed and dreamed. And while I was dreaming,

I was living in my sister's basement.

Dreamers often end up living in the

basements of relatives, FYI.

Anyway, there I was in that basement,

and I was dreaming of being

Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison.

And guess what? I couldn't be

Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison,

because Toni Morrison already had that job

and she wasn't interested in giving

it up.

So one day I was sitting in that basement

and I read an article that said

it was in The New York Times and it said

it was harder to get into USC Film School

than it was to get into Harvard Law School.

And I thought I could dream about being Toni Morrison,

or I could do.

At film school, I discovered an entirely new way

of telling stories. A way that suited me.

A way that brought me joy. A way that flipped this

switch in my brain and changed the way

I saw the world. Years later, I had dinner

with Toni Morrison. All she wanted to talk about

was Grey's Anatomy.

That never would have happened

if I hadn't stopped dreaming of becoming her

and gotten busy becoming myself.
