Youtube daily about Feb 1 2017

Hey YouTube it's me Spotty!

Hope you're all doing great!

Today, I'm bringing you guys the 3 most important things that you need to know if

you're looking to buy the Yan Cheng Yan 3.

So getting right into it, number 1.

This cube has a pretty painful break in process and it doesn't perform that well until you

put some TLC into it.

Out of the box this puzzle performs pretty well (?) but there's some really unbearable

catching that occurs, which makes solving on it not that pleasant.

Now lubing and tensioning will, but not by much.

What you really need is some serious breaking in.

The catches I experienced didn't start to go away until I put at least 300 or so solves

into it which normally isn't that hard to do.

It takes some time but the issue that I had with this particular cube is that while breaking

it in, I wasn't able to get my normal times on it and overall my solves were really inconsistent.

So on top of the catches, this made breaking in the puzzle even more tedious and just not

enjoyable whatsoever.

So if you're looking to pick up this puzzle then just keep in mind that this cube doesn't

'get good' until you put some time and solves into it.

Okay, number 2.

The Yan 3 is nothing spectacular or revolutionary, but great nonetheless after breaking in.

And for the performance you are getting, the price is really quite nice especially compared

to some other puzzles that have been released recently like the Valk 3 or Gans Air which

can normally be found from around $15 - $20 US depending on the store you pick these up

from.

The Yan 3 can be bought for less than 11 at Cubezz which isn't a huge difference but

if you're looking for a very comparable option and wouldn't mind saving a couple

dollars then the Yan 3 is something you might want to look into.

And last but not least, number 3.

The feel.

Now no review would be complete without going over the feel because this is one of the largest

factors that nowdays would make you lean from one cube to another.

Now the feel of this cube is kinda strange.

It's smooth when turning slow but if you go a bit faster then the feeling is more crispy

and crunchy as well.

The turning all round is also really light and airy which I know a lot of people like.

(Cube noise) So overall, the Yan 3 is an interesting puzzle.

It has a painful break in process but otherwise very good performance especially for the price

you're paying.

This cube isn't going to become my main because I prefer the feeling of my Valk3 but

I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people do switch.

If you are interested in picking up this puzzle then I will leave a link to it down below.

But, that just about wraps up this video.

Thanks to Cubezz for helping me get my hands on this puzzle, thank you guys for watching

and I will catch you all soon!

"Those Women Carry Knives." Mother Warns Daughter About Lesbians - Duration: 5:08.

My name is Inca Mohamed, I am originally from the Caribbean but came to the US as a child.

I have always been living between those two cultures.

In my early mid-20s, I was living in California, and my mother was still in Brooklyn.

My mother, she would call me, and my partner at the time would answer the phone.

So she got used to hearing a woman's voice when she called.

We never talked about it.

Every summer, I would come to visit my mother.

So one summer I'm visiting her, probably '83-'84.

And I am in the bedroom, and my mother's in the bathroom.

My mother is from Dominica, and her language is French-Creole.

All of a sudden I hear my mother saying, "Tu aimes femmes!"

And while I have forgotten most of my Creole, I did know what she was saying, and what she

was saying was asking me, "You like women?"

And so I said, "Yes."

And she came into the bedroom.

At that time I defined myself as being bisexual.

So I said to her, "Well, I also like men."

Well, thanks to daytime TV, Oprah, I don't know which show, she had learned the word

bisexual.

But the way she pronounced it was, "Oh, you're a bi-check-sual."

So I said, "Yes Mama, I am a bi-sexual."

She then said to me, "Oh, I had done that when I was young."

And I said, "Ah, I'm not surprised, I thought you had."

So a few minutes later, she said to me, "Be careful, Inca.

Those women carry knives."

And again, you have to put this in the context.

My mother was a very brave woman.

In the 1930's, she worked as a speculator.

She would go to one island, buy things, got to another island, sell them…

So she was -- at a time when women were not moving around that independently, she was.

And she also had a rum shop.

Usually men frequent rum shops.

So if a woman was going to go into a rum shop, I could see why she'd carry the knife.

Less worried about the fact that I was a lesbian, but probably more, what kind of women was

I going to be around?

And so fast forward, it's 1987, and I move back to New York, and I have a really wonderful

lover.

A woman named Bonita, who was an extremely kind and generous person.

We lived down the block from my mother, so my mother would come over for Christmas dinner.

So she got to see me with this incredibly loving, kind, generous woman.

I was very happy to know that my mother knew that she didn't have to worry about my safety

anymore.

And while some lesbians may still carry knives, my lover did not carry a knife.

And she was always -- It was always a very funny experience for me, because I'd go,

'Well, was it a hard thing for her to say, and is that why she had to say it in the tongue

she was most comfortable, in her first language?

Is that why she said it while she was in the bathroom, and I was in the bedroom?'

I mean, who knows?

The point is that she did take the initiative, and she said it, and that created an opportunity

for us to have a very open conversation about my life.

A SIMPLE GUIDE TO STOP CARING SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK - Duration: 5:07.

A SIMPLE GUIDE TO STOP CARING SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK.

true: Other people judge and criticize us each and every day. Mind you, they dont

do it nearly as much as our minds may lead us to believe, or as negatively, but they

do it, just like you do it to them.

We make judgements all the time, both negative and positive, and thats a natural part

of life. While some people understand this and see that it has little to no bearing on

our ability to be ourselves and do what we like to do, to the majority of us, this is

a crippling reality that leaves us feeling frequently and persistently unhappy.

For the vast majority of my life, other peoples opinions of me mattered way more than they

should have or I would have liked. My pursuit of acting contributed to this problem big

time, since audition after audition not only forced me to face constant criticism, but

also regularly reminded me of what about me just wasnt good enough to get the part.

Thankfully, Ive since graduated from this state where virtually every outside opinion

had the power to influence my mood, decisions, and peace of mind, to one where only a select

few have that honour.

Yet Ive recently made a point of working on that as well, in hopes of unlocking a state

of being where I literally no longer give a shit what others may or may not think of

me or my decisions. Please understand that the goal here is not to completely disrespect

the opinions of others Ill still happily seek and grow from them as they arise but

to eliminate the unhealthy tendency to let these opinions dictate my life.

Here are some reminders and mental shifts that Ive found to be particularly helpful

in this process so far:

Most Opinions Are Rooted in Jealousy

On the surface it may seem as though criticism is coming from a state of superiority, but

in reality it is often rooted in perceived inferiority. Someone else feels threatened

by what you are doing, and rather than focusing on how they could do something about it in

their own lives, theyve chosen to expend their energy trying to cut you down.

The truth is, we are never superior or inferior to each other, and the sooner we choose to

respect each others individual journeys, lives, and passions, the quicker well all

be genuinely happy.

Even Your Failures Took Courage

We all screw up from time to time, and in the grand scheme of things, can all learn

to appreciate each of those mishaps as vital for our maturity and growth. So when you do

next screw up and receive some criticism as a result, remind yourself of the courage

it took to do whatever it is that you messed up on. Choose to focus on that bravery, rather

than the unpleasant responses, and youll find yourself back on your metaphorical horse

of creation quicker than you can imagine.

Theyre Just as Concerned as You Are

Only having the ability to be in your own body, its easy to believe that the world

revolves around you. But there are over 7 billion of us who see it the same way. Keep

in mind that as much as someone may have criticized you in the past, they arent giving you

and your decisions as much attention as you think.

Why? Because they have their own lives and concerns about what others are thinking of

them, which, from their perspective, will always be far more important.

Find What You Admire

In my particular case, where only the opinion of a select few still ruffle my feathers,

Ive found it helpful to identify what it is about them that makes me hold them in such

esteem. Is it our extensive history? Their courage? Their accomplishments?

Whatever it is, identify it, and then rather than feeling inferior to it, choose to be

happy for what they have done, and what they have helped to trigger in your life. It may

not feel like it, but each of these people, and the opinions that they hold, all stand

as a wonderful opportunity for us to step into our own power.

Embrace the Feeling

It may feel scary at first, but the more you consciously choose to defy the restrictions

your mind is trying to place on you through a fear of outside opinion, the more addictive

it becomes.

Im not suggesting we all become rebels, but I am suggesting that we all regain the

driver seat of our decision making process.

Searching for Austin Oldfield (Chapter 16) Family Matters - Duration: 4:10.

Austin's sister wrote me and said one

correction that might help: Sheriff

Brown said that all of his belongings were

in one car, or in his car, which is not at

all true. He shared an apartment with his

girlfriend which the sheriff's office

was very well aware o. As an aside it

was quite a decent apartment with lovely

plants a dog in office he also had a

second vehicle and had numerous

technology items computers etc. In

addition to his tools that he liked

carpentry is and his guita, and was

invented in creating speakers to enhance

the sound you could get what playing.

So he wasn't just a guy... that... he wasn't a

transient. He was a person that was on

the move quite often and moved around

frequently but he was in committed

relationships for periods of time and, uh

would, would work... and we had a job. So,

some people suggested that I look at the

homeless shelters in the Tri-cities.

Probably wouldn't be accurate for

Austin as he was more of the ordinary

individual... although based on his

car...

it was pretty, pretty shoddy. So i

could see if he had all his

belongings in there for camping and it was

just a mess and wasn't organized, then I

can see how it would look like he might

be a transient person. One big question

is, why would he move on? He wasn't ... saught

by the police. He hadn't committed any

crimes. We don't know that anybody was

looking for him necessarily, or is, but

that doesn't mean that there could be

some other motivation for him wanting to

disappear that we just don't know about.

Searching for Austin has been an

unexpected journey at every turn and

this weekend was no exception.

I received an odd video clip from a

young person and I thought it was just a

prank because they were wearing an alien

mask and I thought well maybe they're

just looking four hits or something on

on their channel, but as I came to

realize the seriousness of what he was

saying and what the situation really is.

I'm going to look into it more.

It's a sensitive situation somebody... who

wants me to reveal more information

about Austin and it's information that i

can't verify but.... i have verified part of

it.... but... I'm looking forward to telling

you more about that. But I just can't

right at this point. I'm going to play

just a bit of that clip for you now.

I'm going to be telling you about a man

named Austin Oldfield. If you're the channel

Rat and Cat, I have been keeping up with

posting your videos about searching for

him. If you don't know who Austin Oldfield is,

he disappeared on September 2015 in the

Washington National Forest. He has not

currently been found. This is a very,

very serious video, so i really want you listen.

The Return of the Gentleman Series with Dr Dain Heer - Duration: 8:27.

Hello gentlemen of the world, my name is

Dr. Dain Heer inviting you to a new

exploration called

Return Of The Gentleman.

In a conversation with a really dear friend

of mine, a twenty-three-year-old

brilliant young man, we were having a

conversation about some different

aspects of what it is to actually be a

man and he looked at me and he said I

have been looking for this my whole life.

I have scoured youtube I have looked all

over the internet for somebody to give

me this kind of information where being

a man is actually about being honorable,

being kind, being caring but also being

potent, also being sexual,

also being able to make money, also being

able to contribute to family and he said

I didn't realize this was possible until

we had this conversation and I looked at

that and I realize that we need to do

something different. So I created this

series, who knows what it's going to turn

into, but right now you'll be able to get

it on youtube and a few other places

called Return Of The Gentleman and what

it's really about is returning to the

gift of being the gentleman that you can

actually be. Now we're going to cover

subjects like relationship, sex, women but

not from the place of so many of the

videos I've seen on youtube and other

places at this point about

being a man is getting your

game on and and you know having a great

game so you can get women in bed and

dominating women, because that's all

I've seen and that's not what it is

at all. The most interesting part about

this for me is when you're truly being

you whatever that is for you when you're

being authentic as you women are

attracted to you and it doesn't matter

how you look, it doesn't matter that much

how you dress, although we're going to

talk about that too because that's

definitely an aspect of what you want to

have. But what I like to do is have some

frank, open, honest discussions with you

and also give you a place to get your

questions answered

where you can write in the stuff that

you want to know about and get it from

this different perspective. 16 years ago I was at a place where I

was going to end my life. I was with a

girlfriend who I thought was the perfect

woman and she hated me I was a

chiropractor starting my second practice

and I had so little self-worth that I

felt like the most insecure man on the

planet and I found a way to change that

but not only did I find a way to

change it I started actually liking me.

So what I would invite you to is the

awareness that there's something totally

different possible but it's actually

from you being honoring of yourself,

starting to trust yourself, starting to

actually be vulnerable with you, having

gratitude for you and then having no

judgment of you. If you could just

consider what it would be like to be

that for a moment, maybe an hour,

I mean imagine that for an hour.

Imagine if you woke up tomorrow and had

no judgment of you for the man you're

being in the world? Imagine if you

woke up tomorrow and looked in the

mirror at you and were like I like the man

that's looking back at me. This is where it all starts, this is

where we're gonna head. So you'll be able

to send in your questions, you'll be able

to get a as much information as I can

give you with the time I have because I

travel almost four weeks out of the

month right. I am an owner and facilitator

of a worldwide self-development business.

It's not like I have a lot of time

but I really want to give you guys this

information. The resources that are out

there for men,

there's so few available that are

actually about being the greatness that

a man can truly be. I want to read you

something and as just one tiny example

of where we're headed if you find that

interesting

you'll also find these videos

interesting. If you don't like what I'm

about to read this is probably not the

place for you. Go to one of those

alpha male channels where it's all about

dominating women.

Okay so give me just a sec I'll be right

back with that.

Okay guys I'm back and this is an

interesting facebook post that this

gentleman posted to his sons, who were

four and seven years old after

the thing with Donald Trump and how he's

treating women and Rudy Giuliani got up

and said "well men at times act like that".

So this is a facebook post this guy

wrote "Caleb and Ethan fortunately

right now you're too young to be exposed

to or interested in political discourse

and you're much too young to have

Facebook accounts but I imagine there'll

be a time in the not-too-distant future

when you're on facebook and will be

friends.

I also imagine that at some point after

that weather out of boredom or interest

you look back through your old man's

posts for some funny stories and maybe

some tidbits of wisdom. So I'm gonna

leave this right here for you. Men do not

at times talk like that

sure some individuals with an x and y

chromosome like you may say something

like that but we do not call them men, we

call them perverts, abusers or rapists, not

men. Real men don't do that and wouldn't

even think to say that. You hear a lot of

people tell you

what men do or what it takes to be a man.

The vast majority of it will be total

garbage. If you want to be a man forget

about machoism or sexual conquest. Being

a man is not about that, it's

about protecting those around you who

are weak or innocent, maybe a child being

bullied or your own children.

It's being awake at all hours of the

night to warm a bottle, change a diaper,

change the sheets on a wet bed or even

worse. Men get puked on, pooped on, blood on

and cried on. It's about being open

with someone, vulnerable and accountable.

It's admitting your mistakes and

failures in all its ugliness and seeking

forgiveness over and over and over again.

Real men play dress-up and enjoy tea

parties and we'll make a complete fool

out of themselves just to hear a child

laugh. They cry and even weep when the

situation calls for it. They respect

honor and cherish women because all of

them are human.

It's tough being a man, the hardest work

you'll ever do. So when someone tries to

justify abhorrent words and behavior by

sulling your good reputation as a man be

angry and speak up don't let them

defind you by their conduct. In short be a

man.

Sincerely, Your Dad. So that's sort of

where we're headed where men actually

get to be men and actually get to be the

honoring beings that we are. But also

honoring of each other. I think one of

the biggest things that's missing here

is

men getting to actually support other

men contribute to other men, be grateful

for other men. It's like somehow we have this weird

macho football idea that you know what

testosterone tells us mount it or kill it are our

only two choices and you know what it's

not like that at all. In the last few

years I have had the the great, great

blessing of having some men in my life

who were there is really, really good

friends who truly have my back.

That's the energy i'd like to bring to

this conversation. So I hope you choose

to sign up and hope you get a heck of a

lot of information that's way more than

you ever thought you would get. It's my

desire to be a contribution to you and

all of us and the interesting thing is

as you start watching these videos, as

you get your questions answered, as you

start to explore this possibility for

being this way in the world the way

women will treat you in the way you'll

treat them will absolutely amaze you and

please no there's no particular

political point of view, there's no

religious point of view, there's nothing

other than us men getting together to

actually contribute to each other and me

hopefully sharing some wisdom that will

help you enjoy you as a man and have the

gratitude for you that you should have.

so thank you so much for listening, thank

you so much for watching. I look forward

to seeing in the next video bye

3 Ubuntu Tips You Didn't Know About // Linux Tips & Tricks - Duration: 3:22.

Linux is known for its customizability and insane usability - but do you know how to

do everything in Ubuntu?

Here's a few things you might not have known you can do.

I'm EposVox, here to make tech easier to understand and more fun via free educational

videos.

I'm here today with a new Ubuntu video, sponsored by System76 - the best Linux PC

distributor I can recommend.

These are a few of my favorite not-so-well-known things you can do in Ubuntu, some of which

I only just learned recently.

These are in no particular order.

I'm someone who rarely ever sees my desktop.

I keep just about all windows maximized - I use up all the screen real estate that I can.

But when I am on my desktop, I'd like it to be as useful as possible.

So I was delighted to find out that you can actually set your Desktop directory to be

your home folder so you have direct access without opening a file manager.

To do this, open your Home folder and hit CTRL-H to show hidden files.

Open the ".config" folder and then find the "user-dirs.dirs" file.

Open that in gedit or another text editor.

Here you can change all of your default directories.

To make your Desktop show the home folder, just delete the "Desktop" after the "Home"

listing on the Desktop line.

Save the file and reboot, log out and back in, or restart Nautilus.

This is pretty cool, and any desktop icons you have set to show - such as Trash, Network,

mounted drives, etc. - still show up on the desktop.

You can customize these further.

For example, I moved my Downloads, Music, Pictures, and Videos folders over to my secondary

SSD so they don't take up the smaller boot drive in my Lemur laptop.

Following a reboot this changes the directory shortcuts in Nautilus and everything - just

keep in mind you will need to manually move any files over to the new folders or they

will still be sitting in your actual Home folder.

This next tip is for those who frequently help out other Linux users such as myself.

You can actually make web links that directly open packages in the Ubuntu software.

Instead of a normal hyperlink with "http so on and so on" simply link to "apt:<packagename"

such as "apt:firefox" with no spaces.

Then those running Ubuntu clicking the link from the web will be quickly prompted to install

FireFox from the software center.

It's pretty cool!

Those not running Linux will just be confused by the links, but that's okay!

If you share a computer with less tech-savvy relatives or just don't want to keep files

immediately out in the open, you can instantly hide any file or folder by adding a period

at the start of the file or folder name.

In Linux, any file starting with a period is hidden unless hidden files are set to be

shown.

You can toggle visibility of hidden files with CTRL H in Nautilus.

To rename the file, select it, hit F2 and add a period.

Boom, gone.

This video is sponsored by System76 - a fantastic, USA-based company focused on distributing

great Linux computers to help you unleash your potential.

Their new Oryx Pro with a 4K HiDPI display is the perfect workstation to handle just

about anything.

Gabriel Iglesias Talks About Bombing At The Apollo | SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO - Duration: 0:53.

- I never thought

I'd be on Showtime at the Apollo.

The thought never even crossed my mind to dream that big

that one day I could be on the other side

of the country performing at the world famous Apollo.

For me it was really, really huge

because this is not an easy crowd to perform in front of,

you know?

If you do not bring a solid show,

they're going to let you know.

The only thing that was more extreme than Showtime

at the Apollo was probably back in the Roman days

where you had to make--

you know, you had to entertain people and if you sucked,

you died.

Professional comics that have been in the game

for a number of years would still look at the Apollo

Theater as a challenge no matter how seasoned they are

because it's still the Apollo.

People got to seek therapy when they bombed

at the Apollo because that's--

that's a whole lot of just, you really messed up

coming at you at one--

you know?

I've-- I've had breakups that hurt less.

[laughs]

(exciting music)

- So being a woman and teaching ladies how to play,

I've learned that a lot of self-confidence can be lacking

because they're worried about how they look when the throw.

And it's something you just kinda gotta get over

and just be okay with what your body looks like

when you follow though and don't worry about it.

Just focus on throwing the disc the way you want to

and just get out and throw.

What is ATM CARD , DEBIT CARD and CREDIT CARD !! Difference between a DEBIT CARD and CREDIT CARD - Duration: 3:14.

Hello Friends , As we know we all are going towards digital payments .

As we say the word digital payments the very first thing come to our mind is card .

As we know a variety of cards are available .

Many of us have many doubt regarding these cards.

what is it and how to use it ?

This video is all about to clear all your doubts .

Friends , My name is RAHUL .

You are watching TECH PEDIA .Lets start now .

Friends , may be many users already aware about it .

But still some users haven't information about what these cards are all about .

So all the doubts will clear by this .

We start with ATM CARD . What is ATM CARD ?

ATM cards doesn't contain any types of logo like VISA CARD, MASTER CARD ,RuPay CARD .

You can use ATM card only for the purpose of withdraw rupees from ATM machines .

ATM CARD are linked to our bank accounts .

So we can withdraw only that limit of amount that are present in our banks.

Now we talk about second type of card named as DEBIT CARD .

Somehow DEBIT CARD is same as ATM CARD .

But if we see the difference by visualization of cards then you will see a single difference

that is VISA CARD , MASTER CARD , Rupay CARD or any such type of gateway is labeled on DEBIT CARDS .

you can also withdraw money by this.

You have one more advantage in this is that you can use this card in your Shopping's too .

This card is also linked to our bank .

We can do limited shopping depending on our bank balance .

Now we talk about third type of card named as CREDIT CARD .

These type of cards are not available to every user.

Availability of this card is depend on many factors .

We can use CREDIT CARD into shopping .

This card is not linked to our bank balance limit .

So if our bank balance has not sufficient money still we are able to shop .

What will happen in this bank will do payments on behalf on us .

We need to pay back to bank in a given time limit .

We have to give with interest if somehow we can't able to give that amount in given time limit .

So friends , all these three cards are use in this way .

Friends if you have some doubt about the logo labelled on cards then no need to worry

i will come soon with another video regarding to this topic .

This is all in this video .

THE MYSTERIES OF PLANET MERCURY - MINI SPACE DOCUMENTARY - Duration: 12:37.

our world and beyond space in

partnership with the European Space

Agency

the mercury of Roman mythology was an

erratic and volatile character and this

swift-moving messenger lent his name to

one of the solar system's most

mysterious worlds the planet mercury

mercury is really a weird planet

normal terrestrial planets all the rest

have a relation between the how big they

are how then they are America is not

following that rule is much more dense

that what you would expect for its size

so something went wrong in the formation

of mercury that we don't know one of the

reasons why mercury remains mysterious

is that it's so close to the Sun

telescopes find it difficult to observe

a small planet against such ferocious

light

mark you must know it's the missing

piece in order to understand the

evolution of our solar system we have

been to comments we have seen the other

planet but we do not know a lot about

mercury

what we do know points to a forbidding

world pockmarked with craters

luxury for us is a planet of extremes as

a hottest temperature as temperature

variations on Mercury about 600 degrees

between day and night so you have

temperatures like 400 450 degrees on the

surface during the day and imagine

that's like being in app itself runner

so it's really hot there and

temperatures at about minus hundred

seventy-five doing tonight one of the

great mysteries of mercury is its orbit

and rotation it follows an unusual

pattern one day on Mercury can last up

to a hundred and seventy-six Earth days

and yet one year last 88 Earth days

nicola combo from the observatory of

Paris has spent years researching the

rotation of mercury

there in 10 or the rotation of mercury

is really unique solar system mercury

rotates two times around the Sun in the

time that it turns three times around

its polar axis this one expert

mercury follows an odd elliptical orbit

in which it passes within 47 million

kilometers of the Sun and then swings

out to 70 million kilometers while it

rotate slowly on its axis meaning the

passing of a day on mercury is like no

other

so that's what happened manicure if they

were on the planet Mercury what you

would see is the Sun rising in the East

today offered the then it would climb

into the sky and then the Sun would stop

at a certain point and wanted off that

move slightly backwards on ya stop again

and then carry on and set in the West

the way mercury turns on its axis

suggest that just beneath its thin

silica crust lies a large fluid mantle

it's so dense that scientists believe it

must be made from molten iron blended

with a little sulfur

and as for atmosphere too masculine part

by the mercury we don't talk about an

atmosphere but instead we talk about an

exosphere that's to say something which

is very tenuous basically linked to

outgassing Judah solar wind so there are

a few particles that are around mercury

but it's very very thin before the first

space probes flew to mercury some only

assumed it was a rather dull planet

simmering in the heat of the Sun Mercury

is known since long time ago I mean dish

Egyptians already give information about

about the existence of mercury and and

recognizing it as a planet but but real

observations of Mary didn't started much

later the first signs that mercury was

more mysterious than imagined came when

the mariner 10 mission flew by in 1974

it sent back intriguing images of the

surface and picked up signs of a weak

magnetic field

since 2011 the NASA probe Messenger has

been orbiting mercury mapping the

surface in detail

it's picked up signs of ancient

volcanoes and of a cooling interlayer

yet so much remains to be discovered

what scientists want to do is try to

understand the nature of the planet

itself you want to characterize the

surface what material is under surface

we would like to measure temperatures we

would like to see the interaction with

the solar images special American

because it's so close to the Sun then

were curious and magnetic field which is

like Earth dynamo field we would like to

understand that and so there are several

reasons to go to mercury

in 2015 Europe should launch its own

mission to mercury it carries the name

Betty colombo in honor of the italian

mathematician he studied mercury and it

was his calculations which helped plot

the course of the mariner 10 space craft

Betty Colombo's first challenge is to

successfully reach its destination and

avoid the gravitational grasp of the Sun

the Sun has a lot of gravity and if you

get in out of our orbit Earth orbit and

you go closer to the Sun and you want to

get to the mercury orbitz you have to be

very careful and expend a lot of energy

to avoid falling in the Sun

the journey to mercury is six years and

is a rather moment because it takes very

much energy to travel to that planet it

takes as much energy to travel to

mercury as it would take to travel to

put on Pepe colombo should be the most

complete exploratory mission to mercury

ever conceived construction and testing

the probe is well underway at the

european space agency's research and

Technology Center in the Netherlands the

project is a joint mission with the

Japanese and the spacecraft is divided

into two each probe with a specific set

of tasks that the colombo has two

orbiters the one is the European orbiter

called the mercury planetary orbiter and

it has a imaging instruments and

spectrometers but also some instruments

to look at the plasma around mercury

then there is a japanese spacecraft

mercury magnetospheric orbiter that or

will operate at a much higher altitude

in order to to map the magnetosphere and

a plasma

the mission will spend at least a year

investigating the geology interior

structure magnetic field and general

dynamics of mercury

as it does so it will have to deal with

a ferocious heat of the Sun and

reflected radiation from the planet

the probe is equipped with special

thermal shields and a large radiator to

keep the instruments inside that

operating temperature the planetary

orbiter will circle around mercury

keeping always the instrumentation

pointed at the surface

this means that almost all the faces of

the space cross will be exposed to the

high-intensity solar radiation there is

only one side of the spacecraft that we

can call the cold face that carries the

radiator and has to be pointed to the

cold space in order to be able to reject

and radiate all the excessive heat that

the spacecraft that produces

Pepe colombo should reach its

destination by the year twenty

twenty-two not only will it offer a new

insight into mercury but also an idea of

how the other rocky planets of our solar

system were formed

Oh

that in turn could offer new clues about

other worlds circling distant stars

recently a very hot topic on planetary

size or astronomy as external planets

and many of these planets orbits

compared to the run of mercury so very

close to the Sun very close to the

parents top and so some scientists

believe if you studying mercury and

understand the behavior of mercury that

we can also learn something for the

extrasolar planets and understand why

they are formed or are so close to their

parent star planetary scientists a

curious to find out how Mercury's orbit

and rotation may have changed over its

lifetime

that's because many of the distant

planet spotted around other stars appear

to follow similar paths

for macular but we can make analogies

between work around the planetary

systems that we discover the extra solar

systems where we have planets that are

close to their star but with a highly

eccentric orbit and the job except that

these planets are gas giants not like

mercury so the planets themselves are

different but their position is very

similar

what's interesting with Mercury will be

to understand how this interaction works

between the planets and the Sun for a

planet that's very close to it for a

point-and-click what happened to make

sure why is it so dense and how did it

already evolved finding answers to those

questions could help solve other

mistress to

we have a theory to understand how

planetary systems form and the solar

system is a good example

now the theory was based on explaining

the solar system and it was fine

it worked but now when we have

discovered new planets around other

stars in the galaxy the extrasolar

planet they don't fit at all so

something is wrong and the special cases

those that are difficult to understand

in details like mercury are very health

because it is a case where we find a

number of things we don't understand

easily the fleet-footed messenger of

Rome a yet deliver some revealing

insights into how our solar system

formed four-and-a-half billion years ago

history but the only person around it

doesn't have TV coverage of the favor

and find it man you got the black up now

you're gonna be a star in the TV picture

now they'll yes we are getting a TV

picture 1 all

bad way
