Youtube daily will Dec 4 2017

While the elite master race is prepping their spacecraft for evacuation of the earth if

things go south, yellowstone explodes, and global warming turns up the heat.

How do we commoners stave off starvation or survive an extinction level event due to famine?

Because let's be honest, there won't be seats for us on those spaceships.

Nerd Punch!

Indoor farms.

Humankind's most overlooked and underestimated savior.

You might be asking, how are indoor farms going to save humankind?

Let me answer your question with another question:

What happens when we can't grow food?

Chaos, death, destruction, and extinction.

Okay, but what's the likelihood that we wouldn't be able to grow food?

I mean, there are lots of grocery stores, farms, and animals.

So we are all good, right?"

Well not to cause panic, but something like Yellowstone erupting and global climate change

is similar to what caused the near extinction of humans around 70,000 BC.

Toba, a volcano with roughly the same volcanic explosivity index as Yellowstone exploded

putting so much dust and ash into the air that the sun was dimmed for over 5 years,

climates were altered on a global scale, rivers choked up, seasonal rains were disrupted,

animals died, crops died, and not long after that.. humans died.

Oh you thought that was it?

The earth was also dipping into an ice age at that time, so what little warmth the sun

could have given humans, was bounced back into space by the dust in the atmosphere.

Safe to say that earth was pretty inhospitable for a long time.

Most studies say we were down to around 1000 reproductive adults.

Your average high-school has 2-3 times more people than that.

If that's a bit far-fetched for you, here are some plausible reasons.

Food shortage is already a problem.

Climate Changes.

Man made or not, legitimate or not, it's potentially something we will need to contend

with in the future.

Overpopulation.

Urbanization cutting into farmland.

Geographic regions that are already troubled with food production in their climate are

in danger because a climate change by a few degrees could ruin arable land.

Natural Disasters like invasive species, droughts, volcanic eruptions, floods, and wildfires,

can all severely impact farming production.

Agriculture is too dependent on water and contaminates too much water, which can destroy

crops if not carefully tested and filtered.

Over-cultivation and fertiliser use has depleted soil at a rate that far outpaces the earth's

natural ability to recover.

Less people getting into farming nowadays could decrease food production.

Conventional farming is inefficient.

It can take months to grow food that has a shelf life of a few days to a week.

If a natural disaster were to wreck a harvest, you'll have a week of food supply from stores,

and you'll have to wait another cycle until the farmland can start producing again.

The general takeaway i'm trying to drive home is, human's food supply is vulnerable

to many variables, and this is not good.

But if you want to discuss the legitimacy and likelihood of these reasons in this video,

hit me up in the comments.

If you enjoyed the video and I piqued your interest in indoor farms, click the like button.

And subscribe if you want to get hit with the next Nerd Punch where we discuss what

an indoor farm actually is, ya know, besides being a farm that's indoors..

More specifically, what science and technology these indoor farms have that will help solve

these vulnerabilities.

I'll see you in the next one…

Latest Breaking News, Will China be able to attack North Korea? - Duration: 7:58.

Yahoo News in every talk about military action on the Korean Peninsula of great

power is often overlooked in debates China the People's Republic of China has

a large army they can stabilize its 880 mile boundaries at any cost for this

unpredictable North Korean neighbors in case of military actions what are they

James options in North Korea and what kind of force should be used North Korea

is both existing in a bedroom for China the People's Democratic Republic of

Korea is an independent nation openly hostile to the United States and other

regional powers Jeong Yang's military is a barrier to any attacks from other

nations in the region in North Korea does not pose a direct threat to China

as a result nearly a thousand miles of China's borders are safe with Pyongyang

and will never fall under the influence of the United States the situation is

still difficult to complete although North Korea has traditionally been a

nation under the influence of China's great trade the relationship between the

two countries has deteriorated in recent years the violent attacks between

Washington and Pyongyang together with the anti American nuclear weapons

program have brought North Korea an important debate point between the

United States and China North Korea's brutal violation of international

standards has challenged Beijing's patient there are rumors that Beijing

has long been prepared to intervene in North Korea whether it results in the

collapse of the Pyongyang regime or two countries leader becomes hostile to

China no one knows what measures Beijing can do but we can sketch the certainty

that if China attacks North Korea the dictatorship weather of Kim jong-un or

anyone else will not exist one possible scenario is a military attack on North

Korea that led to the collapse of the present regime's a deadlock economy a

military coup or a Syrian like rebellion could prompt the regime to be

scrapped quickly at that time the North Korean food distribution system may fail

to make refugees flee the country because the border with South Korea is

very well protected in the Russian border is relatively far the least

physical corridor to process in China Beijing is obsessed with internal

stability almost certainly not going to expand millions of refugees across

northern China in view of China the situation would be much better if the

refugees remained in North Korea in the event of the collapse of the Pyongyang

regime by the People's Liberation Army hua under the northern armed forces

headquarters heading south and creating a buffer zone in North Korea that would

not solve the problem addressing the problem of political and economic

instability if the plow moves further south it was possible to move to

Pyongyang to establish a pro China puppet government and restore

instability the most likely event is that China launched a full-scale

invasion to overthrow the present-day Pyongyang regime out of the 16 armored

mechanized infantry and artillery armies that form the Korean People's Army 58th

only two legions were moved along the Chinese North Korean border three other

armies stationed in Pyongyang ioan around the capital nearly 70% of the KPA

troops are located south of the Pyongyang wants and live Arrangements

supported cross-border attack against South Korea the infantry forces of

China's northern armed forces command included the 78 79th and 80th armies

these are similar to those of the army of the United States which control 18

the Armed Forces were supported by three special operations unit three unmanned

aerial vehicles three artillery brigades and three engineering brigades this gets

the Fon military at least a theoretical equivalent of about five or six u.s.

combat divisions supported by two air strikes by their Chinese air force under

the command of the northern armed forces command fob troops across the

border in advance South busy the strategic military base PPA how much

will the KPA fight against the invasion that depends if the regime in Pyongyang

is still alive China may face considerable resistance

the lack of reserves fueled by China's blockade

could cause parts of the remaining 14 Corps to bog down in place and prevent

them from fighting China's invasion if the government collapses the kPa

military can become part of a hungry collective without a leader

ideally Beijing would connect its relationships with the kPa military

commanders before heading south and persuading them not to fight in the same

commanders would remain in the same order

Perry will play in wartime the last time the Chinese army conducted a large-scale

operation was the 1979 sino vietnam war using inferior outdated tactics china's

infantry suffered heavy casualties the battles against Vietnam and former

president during the shouting vowed never to repeat such a costly war it is

unlikely that Beijing will issue an attack unless it's confident enough to

win the fall military so as not to be a shame let's attack last time

however the flaw army today is a completely different military machine

while the PLA lack of US military skills has undergone field trials it is likely

to outperform the kPa army the PAS military today has modernized both the

doctrine and military equipment the words ready to fight are repeated by

President Xi Jinping often interpreted as an aggressive outside but may be a

call for collective readiness an anti-corruption in rent a recent popular

emphasis on fast-paced mechanization would give the PHA great advantage in

the advance of Pyongyang the most dangerous aspect of the Chinese invasion

of North Korea is that it is launched along with the u.s. and South Korean

offensive for the north the Demilitarized Zone well the United

States in South Korea will operate but similar those allied forces are

different from China Allied armies heading north and POIs armies going

south will be more likely out in fact click here to see the videos to watch

except for the complete collapse of the Pyongyang regime China does not seem to

attack North Korea at any time the economic political and military costs

have greater than the benefits at least until now it is easy to see that if the

plan changes China defeats to maintain military forces along the border

aggressively interfering in their small neighbours China South Korea or any

country willing to have to bring about results is a good question

#Cesc Fabregas vows that Chelsea will jump on any Manchester City slip-up - Duration: 2:26.

Cesc Fabregas vows that Chelsea will jump on any Manchester City slip-up

CESC FABREGAS says Chelsea are simply willing Manchester City to slip up.

Otherwise the Premier League title race will be a forgone conclusion.

Cesc Fabregas is hoping against hope that Manchester City slip up somewhere along the Premier League title line.

Pep Guardiolas men are already odds-on favourites to land the trophy.

Chelsea have won six of their last seven league games.

But Fabregas knows it will take a miracle for them to retain their Prem crown.

The midfielder told Chelsea TV after the latest victory over Newcastle United:.

City have set a rip-roaring pace at the top of the table.

But Chelseas win over Newcastle was their sixth in seven league games.

It is important to get the win.

We needed to win before the top teams played and it was an important three points.

It is still a long way to go and that is why we have to hope Manchester City will slip up and we will manage to put some pressure on them.

They are there because they deserve it and our job is just to keep going and see what happens at the top.

Pep Guardiola and his City slickers are dominating the top flight.

They are racking up the wins at an alarming rate.

But Fabregas is determined that Chelsea push them all the way.

end      .

They have pace, they have ability and they are individually one of the strongest teamsin the Premier League.

The way they play is so hard to play against.

We started by scoring a goal, but in the end they have pace, ability and they have won the match.

How long will human impacts last? - David Biello - Duration: 5:30.

Imagine aliens land on the planet a million years from now

and look into the geologic record.

What will these curious searchers find of us?

They will find what geologists, scientists, and other experts

are increasingly calling the Anthropocene,

or new age of mankind.

The impacts that we humans make have become so pervasive,

profound,

and permanent

that some geologists argue we merit our own epoch.

That would be a new unit in the geologic time scale

that stretches back more than 4.5 billion years,

or ever since the Earth took shape.

Modern humans may be on par with the glaciers behind various ice ages

or the asteroid that doomed most of the dinosaurs.

What is an epoch?

Most simply, it's a unit of geologic time.

There's the Pleistocene,

an icy epoch that saw the evolution of modern humans.

Or there's the Eocene, more than 34 million years ago,

a hothouse time during which

the continents drifted into their present configuration.

Changes in climate or fossils found in the rock record

help distinguish these epochs and help geologists tell deep time.

So what will be the record of modern people's impact on the planet?

It doesn't rely on the things that may seem most obvious to us today,

like sprawling cities.

Even New York or Shanghai may prove hard to find

buried in the rocks a million years from now.

But humans have put new things into the world

that never existed on Earth before,

like plutonium

and plastics.

In fact, the geologists known as stratigraphers

who determine the geologic timescale,

have proposed a start date for the Anthropocene around 1950.

That's when people started blowing up nuclear bombs all around the world

and scattering novel elements to the winds.

Those elements will last in the rock record,

even in our bones and teeth for millions of years.

And in just 50 years, we've made enough plastic,

at least 8 billion metric tons,

to cover the whole world in a thin film.

People's farming, fishing, and forestry will also show up as a before and after

in any such strata

because it's those kinds of activities

that are causing unique species of plants and animals to die out.

This die-off started perhaps more than 40,000 years ago

as humanity spread out of Africa

and reached places like Australia,

kicking off the disappearance of big, likable, and edible animals.

This is true of Europe and Asia, think woolly mammoth,

as well as North and South America, too.

For a species that has only roamed

the planet for a few hundred thousand years,

Homo sapiens has had a big impact on the future fossil record.

That also means that even if people were to disappear tomorrow,

evolution would be driven by our choices to date.

We're making a new homogenous world of certain favored plants and animals,

like corn and rats.

But it's a world that's not as resilient as the one it replaces.

As the fossil record shows,

it's a diversity of plants and animals

that allows unique pairings of flora and fauna

to respond to environmental challenges, and even thrive after an apocalypse.

That goes for people, too.

If the microscopic plants of the ocean suffer

as a result of too much carbon dioxide, say,

we'll lose the source of as much as half of the oxygen we need to breathe.

Then there's the smudge in future rocks.

People's penchant for burning coal, oil, and natural gas

has spread tiny bits of soot all over the planet.

That smudge corresponds with a meteoric rise

in the amount of carbon dioxide in the air,

now beyond 400 parts per million,

or higher than any other Homo sapiens has ever breathed.

Similar soot can still be found in ancient rocks

from volcanic fires of 66 million years ago,

a record of the cataclysm touched off by an asteroid

at the end of the late Cretaceous epoch.

So odds are our soot will still be here 66 million years from now,

easy enough to find for any aliens who care to look.

Of course, there's an important difference between us and an asteroid.

A space rock has no choice but to follow gravity.

We can choose to do differently.

And if we do, there might still be some kind of human civilization thousands

or even millions of years from now.

Not a bad record to hope for.

2019: Convention will make PDP solid - Jonathan

The former president, Goodluck Jonathan has expressed optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will become solid after the party's national convention scheduled for December 9.

Premium Times reports that the president stated this while addressing journalists after a visit to the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, at the government house in Port Harcourt on Sunday, December 3.

NAIJ. com gathered that the former president said that an elected national working committee will set in motion the preparation for the 2019 general elections. He said: "God willing, we will go through the National Convention and the party will become solid.

"You know we have a caretaker committee. When you have a caretaker committee, you are not as strong as a fully elected chairman.

The party passed through some challenges. Luckily for us, we have passed through that phase with the pronouncement of the Supreme Court.

"We want to formally elect the officials of the party that will lead the party to the 2019 elections. I am very hopeful that on the 9th of December we will elect our leaders.".

NAIJ. com had previously reported that the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was in progress at the partys national secretariat, Abuja, Daily Trust reports Read more.

The meeting which had governors, lawmakers and other party stakeholders in attendance was expected to take key decisions ahead of the December 9 national convention of the party.

HOW ABUNDANCE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD - Elon Musk 2017 - Duration: 14:53.

hi so this is not gonna be one of my regular videos I've been looking a lot

around in san francisco and on the web lately because i'm super interested in

how things are gonna evolve in the future so this is my way of sort of

boiling everything that's happened in the last year down to a good let's go

with 15 minutes yes it will be some hard cuts I'll put a link to everything in

the description just so you can double-check everything and I'm really

not cutting anything in or leaving anything out that I feel is important

you can watch the full videos if you want they're hours long but they're

really really really great enjoy we're living the time where what is possible

is speeding up at such an accelerating rate that it's going to challenge our

sense of stability one of the things that's changing is the cost of things we

talk a lot about the notion that technology is going to cause us to lose

our jobs lose our income the most near-term impact from a technological

standpoint is autonomous cars a fully self-driving cars that's gonna happen

much faster than people realize there are many people who is jobs it is to

drive in fact I think it might be the single largest employer of people is

driving in various forms and so we need to figure out new roles for those people

that will be very disruptive and very quick now I should characterize what I

mean by quick there are over two billion vehicles in the world approaching in

fact approaching two and a half billion cars and trucks and in the world the

total new vehicle production capacity is about a hundred mode which makes sense

because the life of a car or truck before it's finally scrapped is about 20

25 years so the point at which we see full autonomy appear will not be the

point at which there is massive societal upheaval because it will take a long

time to make enough autonomous vehicles to disrupt employment so that that

disruption I'm talking about will take place over about 20 years it's still 20

years is a short period of time to have I think something like 12 to 15 percent

of the workforce be unemployed there is a countervailing force that's going on

right now at the same time which is the D monetization of living I believe we're

rapidly moving towards a world where all of these things that we

use that we need to be alive if you would modulus hierarchy of needs are

very rapidly trending towards zero cost and it's going to change capitalism in a

very fundamental fashion at the end of the day in a world in which technologies

like the replicator exists if we have one of these in engineering we can make

all the spare parts we need the ability to actually create something and have

something where scarcity no longer exists where everything becomes abundant

changes the whole economic sphere of our world one of the technologies that is

taking us in that direction of course is the whole notion of nanotechnology

nanobots and it's extraordinary to see where it can go in the not-too-distant

future like the next 20 years 30 years at the outmost if I have a nano bot and

I ask it to replicate itself 500 times and I give you each one of those

nanobots you then have the ability to create anything you literally want that

is a function of only three things the energy the raw material cost and the

cost the information and so we're living in a world where you can have a Ferrari

a mansion or literally anything for near zero cost we are in effect heading

towards a world where a lot not all things but a lot of them basic things of

life are gonna be at near marginal cost what we're seeing is what I call the six

DS of exponential growth everything is becoming D materialized D monetized and

democratized and as we D materialize things as things go from hardware to

bits and the marginal cost of those replicating those bits is near zero we

end up in a very interesting world the demand for electricity will increase

dramatically so currently in terms of total energy usage in the world it's

about one third electricity about one third transport about one third eating

overtime that will transition to almost a predominantly electricity which means

that the demand for electricity will probably triple so it's going to be very

important to think about how do you make so much more electricity

we're living in a world where we have 8,000 times more energy hitting the

surface of the Earth from the Sun than we consume as a species and as it turns

out the poorest countries in the world are the sunniest countries in the world

an interesting line up there that shouldn't be lost on you and as we look

at this you know 2016 the year that renewables

were cheaper than coal right coal will not ever recover when I look down over

LA I don't see the farms of photovoltaics or the farms of solar

thermals you see rooftops and of course what's interesting is that we're going

to turn all of those areas into solar collecting right this is a kilometer of

solar Road deployed in Normandy and Tesla selling at solar rooftops you saw

these numbers the actual number now that Ramez mentioned at 2.4 cents per

kilowatt hour and of course to have abundant near free energy you need

storage now this is the gigafactory out near reno this is just a cute house from

Desperate Housewives or something what what what on earth is going on here

well this illustrates the picture of the future that I think is how how things

will evolve you've got an electric car in the driveway and then that that house

roof is a solar roof you can adjust the texture and the color a very

fine-grained level when you're looking at the roof from street level or close

the street level but tiles look the same whether there is a solar panel behind it

or solar cell behind it or not if you say the road fast forward to say 15

years from now it will be unusual to have a roof that does not have solar

okay so the the key to the economics of the cars the semi of these houses is the

the falling price of lithium-ion batteries which you've made a huge bet

on as so many ways that's almost the core competency and you just have to

build the world's largest manufacturing plants that double the world supply of

lithium-ion battery yeah is with with with this guy what is this yeah

so that's the gigafactory the progress so far in the gigafactory

and I'm incapable of pretty seem like a hundred it eventually like a hundred

gigawatt hours of yeah batteries a year and we go going else we think probably

more video and they're actually being produced right now already here right

already put up this video yeah I mean just eat it up or that's this that's the

slowed down version that yeah how fast does it actually go well when it's

running at full speed you can't actually see the cells without a strobe light

it's just blur how help us picture this I mean how many Giga factories if you

like does it take to get us there oh it's about a hundred roughly it's not

ten it's not a thousand most likely a hundred you're planning to do a test or

at least another to announce another two this year I think I walk will announce

locations for solar between two and four Giga factories later this year yeah

probably four well the fact that Ilan's prediction that a hundred of these Giga

factories worldwide give us all the storage we need for a fully electric

economy is pretty significant let's look at transportation uh abundance 360 this

year I spent time with Jeff Holden his prediction is that we'll have fully

autonomous ubers on the road within two years

this is pilotless driverless fully autonomous ubers and as part of that

that electric autonomous cars are ten times cheaper than owning a car so

that's a fascinating it's just five times cheaper ten times cheaper all of a

sudden becomes something that if you own a Maserati you're gonna park your car

you're gonna sell your car you're gonna part your car you're not going to use

your car because when you have an autonomous electric car that's that much

cheaper that's that much more convenient it's like you don't use your own most

people don't use their old film camera you put that away you're using your cell

phone so interestingly enough the question is at what point are we gonna

see electric autonomous cars displace the cars on the road because I thought

for the longest time oil gasps was gonna be holding on only

because gas car stuck around for decades at a time but this is a photograph from

New York in 1904 and if you look at this you can spot two cars two automobiles on

the road by 1917 it was a hundred percent switchover right we went from

horse and buggy to automobiles because the value proposition was so much

greater and the question of when that midpoint took place well the Model T

came out in 1908 four years later we crossed the midpoint and so it's

interesting and the prediction right now with you know with Tesla coming out with

Ford and GM coming out with whammo now partnering with Chrysler and with lyft

is that by 2025 car ownership will be dead and what I'd like to do is just

take a second and look at these different fields to look at how they're

being dematerialized and how they're being demonetised so of course in

communications and entertainment we've seen a massive amount here are the

numbers on communications by 2020 to 2025 we're gonna have the explosion of a

number of global networks we've got loon through Google we've got Facebook with

drones and satellites effectively what we're doing over the next you know five

to eight years is bringing five billion new consumers online and they're coming

online not like you and I did okay they're gonna have connectivity but

already gonna have these kinds of devices and at the end of the day my

expectation is they will and most people will have them for free because there's

the cost of these devices get down to 10 bucks or 20 bucks unless you have one I

can't sell you anything so I'm gonna give you one of these devices so that

you can buy things from me or the other thing I might get if I give you one of

these devices is I get to collect the data I get to collect and understand

what you want because data is the new gold machine and robots is taking over

there will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better

is a full-size house being 3d printed in ten hours this is Sebastian Thrun slab

machine learning deep learning protocols that can diagnose dermatological

conditions better than a dermatologist and this is just about six months ago

when Watson was able to diagnose a patient who had a rare form of leukemia

that no physician could diagnose this is the cost of genome sequencing you see

Moore's law and white over there and you see that rapidly falling five times the

rate of Moore's Law for genome sequencing so in 2001 craig Venter

sequence the human genome for a hundred million dollars and a few months ago

Illumina the primary company announced equipment that we'll be sequencing the

human genome for a hundred dollars in two hours any of you ever need surgery

of one question to ask how many times have you done this surgery last week

that's the number one correlation between the success of a surgeon if you

find a surgeons doing ten surgeries per day that's your woman all right that's

the person that you want and so when you find a robot operating system that's

doing thousands of surgeries per day and that robot is seeing your innards in an

infra-red in minut detail and is able to do a surgery perfectly because it's seen

every variation and the cost of that surgery is the cost of electricity and

the capex of that of that robot the cost is going to D monetize to near zero

again and I want to be clear that these these are not things that I think that I

wish would happen these are things somebody things that I think probably

will happen if my assessment is correct and they probably will happen then we

need to say what are we gonna do about it and I think some kind of a universal

basic income is gonna be necessary I don't think we're gonna have a choice

Universal Music Inc a universal basic income I think it's gonna be necessary

so it's mean that unemployed people we BP across that look yeah the output of

goods and services will be extremely high so with automation they will they

will come abundance there will be or almost everything will get very cheap

the harder challenge much harder challenge is how

do people then have meaning like a lot of people that derive the meaning from

their employment there's gonna be psychological impacts to losing my

persona of when I ask you what do you do you tell me your career you tell me your

job so how do we connect people so we have to change the story about who you

are what you stand for what you do but these are these are the challenges we

have to face these are the kinds of conversations we talk about if you're

not needed if there's not a need for your labor how do you what's the meaning

if do you have meaning if you feel useless these are much that's a much

harder problem to deal with yeah it's a lot I know and I think what I take away

from it is that creativity and the feeling of fulfillment for creating

something and contributing to the world will be the sort of most important

things that will be where we derive our new meaning from once we have a

universal basic income and once we sort of leave this whole monetary system way

of thinking about the world it's super messed up though and no one really knows

I mean still really interesting to think about right let me know in the comments

down below when you agree with and what you don't agree with and really hope we

can have some great discussions about this and yeah I'll see you guys next

week take care

Marco Rubio Makes It Clear: Republicans Will Cut Social Security And Medicare After Tax Cuts Pass - Duration: 3:43.

Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio gave an interview with Politico this week, where

he explained, without mincing words whatsoever, that once the Republicans are finished with

their disgusting tax cut package for millionaires and billionaires, they're going to help offset

those costs by cutting Social Security and Medicare in the United States.

Now, if you're unfamiliar with those programs, Social Security is the program that you pay

into throughout your entire life, so that you can get a little bit of money back when

you retire.

Maybe it's enough so you don't have to work.

In most cases, it's enough to where a part-time job and your Social Security money will be

able to get you through during your golden years.

You'll never be able to fully retire, but at least you'll have a little bit coming to

you.

Medicare is the program for senior citizens that provides partial health insurance for

some things, doesn't cover everything.

Most of them have to go buy a supplemental plan, but at least it helps them out to an

extent.

And Marco Rubio says that, because these Republican tax cuts are going to, you know, add trillions

to the deficit, those nasty little Social Security and Medicare payments are going to

be drastically reduced, because we've gotta get more money to the rich in the United States.

Marco Rubio wants to send your grandparents, or possibly even yourself, he wants to ship

you down the river, because he wants to give more money to his wealthy donors.

Grandma and Grandpa, in this instance, are going to be screwed.

They're never going to be able to retire.

They're going to keep working until the day they die, just because they won't be able

to afford health insurance.

And they won't be able to retire, because Social Security will be cut down to nothing.

And more importantly, Rubio's absolutely lying.

During this Politico interview, Rubio told us that the main drivers of the debt and the

deficit are Social Security and Medicare, because the way those programs are structured

is just screwing everything up.

There are no facts in this country that support Rubio's claim, there.

None.

There is nothing wrong with Social Security.

There is nothing wrong with Medicare.

The only problem with those two programs is that they don't go far enough.

Marco Rubio is a liar.

Marco Rubio is a human sack of crap.

How about that?

How about we just stop mincing words?

How about we stop being polite?

How about we just call these morons what they are, because that's the point that I am at,

here.

I am absolutely sick and tired of seeing these disgusting, worthless wastes of oxygen, people

like Marco Rubio, going forward, lying to the public, lying with a straight face, lying

with impunity, screwing over everyone so that they can give their wealthy donors more money.

That is what this is about.

That is what Republicans want to do, and that is the only thing they know how to do.

So Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters, you're gonna get screwed under the

Republican rule that currently takes hold in Washington, D.C.

But the wealthy elite, if you're already a millionaire, already a billionaire and have

nothing to worry about, they want to actually just hand you more cash each year, because

they're hopeful some of that cash is going to find its way back into their campaigns.

These people are absolutely disgusting.

Do you think they'll surrender?

They will.

Eventually.

Not now?

Would we give up that quick?

No, we wouldn't.

Damn straight.

They don't surrender today, they will soon.

Just need to run out of food...water...

choices.

Slow down.

What is it?

Tree in the road wasn't there before.

Could've fallen on its own.

Trees do that.

It's them.

4 Life Hacks that Will Ruin Your Life - Duration: 3:31.

- [Narrator] Looking for some useful life-hacks?

Well, you're in the wrong place, because right now

we're gonna talk about some of the popular life-hack advice

that are not only useless, but possibly harmful.

More like life-wacks, am I right?

Anyway.

Oh no, it's the day before your wedding,

school picture day, or murder trial,

and you have a huge zit on your forehead.

Don't panic.

Just stick a big glob of toothpaste on that sucker

and in the morning you'll be as flat as Kansas.

Weirdly enough, toothpaste is meant for your teeth,

not your skin.

Dermatologists say toothpaste can cause irritation,

redness, and lasting marks.

Sadly, there's no foolproof zit-busting remedy.

Be gentle with your skin.

Harsh scrubbing and over-treating can make things worse.

Using an over-the-counter acne spot treatment

with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid

and washing your face with a gentle cleanser

is your best bet.

And if you have painful, persistent acne,

visit a dermatologist.

They didn't earn a degree poking at pustules for nothing.

- So you're at the beach when a jellyfish

gives you a big stinging welt.

You may be pissed off,

but this hack says you should be pissed on.

According to the hack,

urine neutralizes the jellyfish sting.

Turns out, 14-year-old boys are not medical experts.

Peeing on a jellyfish sting will not be soothing.

Your welt will hurt just as much,

except now you're covered in pee.

Jellyfish stings consist of a neurotoxic venom

that is not deactivated by urine.

Also, don't scrape at the wound.

This causes a greater release of venom.

Poor some vinegar on the sting instead.

It's not as gross as urine,

and it will actually have an effect.

Vinegar blocks nematosis,

the venom secreting capsules a jellyfish deploys

with its tentacles.

So if you're full of piss and vinegar

and ready to fight some jellyfish,

maybe skip the piss part.

You're in your bathroom when you hear a loud plop.

It's not the sound of your bowels properly functioning,

but your phone dropping into the toilet.

Now that your phone is soaked hopefully with just water,

what do you do?

A common life-hack suggests you drop it

in a bowl of dry rice.

The rice, like a bunch of tiny sponges,

will soak the toilet water right out of your phone.

It's unlikely the rice is actually doing anything.

Phone recycling company and tech blog Gazelle.com

conducted an informal experiment,

water logging a bunch of phones and sticking them in rice.

The rice was found to be one of the worst remedies.

It even lost to kitty litter.

The rice remedy only appears to work

because it prevents people

from turning on their phones after getting it soaked.

Waiting for the moisture in your phone to evaporate

before powering it on prevents the delicate parts

from short circuiting.

The best way to resuscitate a drowned phone

is to immediately turn it off,

dry it as much as possible,

and leave it under a lamp or fan to encourage evaporation.

Resist the urge to turn it back on for at least 24 hours.

If you get anxious while waiting,

distract yourself by playing on your ph...

oh, wait, crap.

Ear candling is a technique of lighting a hollow candle

and placing the unlit end in the ear.

Practitioners claim this causes a pressure vacuum

that sucks up all the toxins in the ear canal.

It's hailed as a cure for swimmer's ear, tinnitus,

ear pain, dizziness, and more.

Medical experts and the FDA warn that ear candling

has no health benefit and can be dangerous.

Burning hot wax and the delicate inner workings of the ear

apparently do not mix.

Also, the gunk practitioners find inside the candle

is not ear wax or toxins,

but has instead been found

to be residue from the candle itself.

For the most part,

you should avoid sticking anything in your ear,

even cotton swabs.

If you want to clean your ears,

you can use some gentle baby oil or ear wax removal drops.

So the next time someone tells you

to stick a burning candle in your ear,

say, sorry, I can't hear you.

I ruined my eardrums with hot wax

after listening to dumb advice.
