five tactics that will help you improve your YouTube channel and grow faster.
What's going on my name is Devin Street, helping you build your online presence
and today we're going to be talking about five ways you can improve your
YouTube channel and grow faster. But if you're not already subscribe go ahead
and click that subscribe button there's a new video every single Sunday showing
you how you can grow on YouTube. My first tip to you would to be try out new
thumbnails create new styles for your thumbnails look at this right now these
are three different thumbnails this is an evolution of my thumbnails and you'll
see that last one it's so much better than that first one and it also gets a
lot more clicks than that first one so always be changing your thumbnails
trying out new things because over time you're just gonna get better at creating
thumbnails and you'll be able to add more detail make it look nicer and stand
out more to get those more clicks my next tactic would to be a new video idea
that you could try out or a new series or something the thing I've been doing
on my channel is actually doing a kind master video editing tutorial series and
I've been doing this every single Wednesday for about 13 14 weeks now and
it's been great for my channel I'm getting like double the subscribers that
I used to and some of these videos are getting up into the thousands of views
just because I decided to try something else
out and it's helping my channel a lot and it sort of still goes along with my
normal channel because people who are into video editing are most likely
making those videos for YouTube so I'm bringing in those people that are
interested in video editing and then they're staying for the YouTube tips my
next tactic would be improve your equipment whether that's your camera
your microphone your lighting or anything take a look at this this was my
first ever video looks awful right and it also sounds awful the audio is off
and everything about it and it's just not a great video compared to what I
have now now when I have this improved video
people are gonna watch for longer and stick around for longer so just try to
improve every single day you need to invest in your YouTube channel over time
so improving these small aspects will help your channel and your videos get
longer watch times get more views and grow the fourth tactic I would use is to
create a great interaction with your channel get people interacting more
liking the videos commenting and everything what I've been doing is a
weekly subscriber shout out at the end of every video if you've noticed if
you've watched any of the Sunday videos it always has a subscriber shout out the
end and the way you get that shout out is by subscribing and commenting I'm
creating an incentive to subscribe and also go down and go into the comments
and type something and another thing to go along with this would to be reply to
every comment I make sure to reply to almost every single comment unless it's
something like spam or I'm just unsure about it so getting back to every single
one of these people that comments makes them feel special makes them want to
stick around longer and be part of the channel because you create a community
not just a channel it's an entire community of people that really feel
like you care about them and finally build a strong brand message this is
what I have on my channel and every channel on YouTube needs to have a
strong brand message of what they're about are you about showing people the
newest tech the newest phones are you about entertaining people with your
gaming videos are you about making people laugh are you about informing
them about some political topic going on you need to have some kind of brand
message mine is you built an online presence by subscribing to the channel I
show you how to grow on YouTube I show you how to edit videos and kind master I
can show you how to build a website anything like that that is what this
entire channel is about and that's my brand message to the people to want them
to subscribe more because if you're just everywhere and you don't have a message
then why would people want to subscribe because they never know what kind of
video they're gonna get and eventually you can build a channel
around a personality but first you have to start with a brand message if you
don't have that brand message no one's gonna subscribe but this would be the
part of the video where I shout out a subscriber but my Internet's been down
for a couple days so I can't even see who is commenting on the channel so if
you do want a shout out in the future though all you have to do is subscribe
to the channel go down in the comments tell me why you like the video and I'll
shout you out but if you want to build your online presence be sure you've
