Youtube daily so Sep 23 2018

so let's talk about the Jurassic Park theme and why it's so powerful! So we have

this variation of the theme on the piano and it brings to mind a sense of what it

was like when we were a kid you know it's very innocent and intimate and and

just what we thought about like any other normal kid about dinosaurs being

awed and fascinated by them so just sort of that childlike wonder about it and

then the piece transformed into this which denotes more of a sense of

actually seeing the dinosaurs for the first time at Jurassic Park right so

capturing that real-life grandeur and just awesomeness about it and I love

these bells they are very John Williams sort of a style

it's like they accentuate or keep pulling that thread of childlike wonder

even into this part of the music and then there's a distinct change in the

theme I think where it goes from talking more about the story of us and our ideas

and childlike wonder about dinosaurs growing up to then talking about the

dinosaurs themselves as just animals or these grand creatures of nature I love

how I mean the theme is the same but the notes are played longer right and it

gives more a sense of reverence here and I think it touches on that sense of

reverence so much that it wouldn't be a Miss in a scene like this

and all of a sudden it transforms here and it gives a sense of being more

intimate maybe being one-to-one with the dinosaur you know right in front of you

and you're caressing yet or something like that like in a scene like this

and then I love how it goes back to the piano but with elements of the strings

that have you know accompanying us along this big journey so it's almost as if we

went to Jurassic Park we saw the dinosaurs and now we're a kid again with

her dreams haven't been realized now I absolutely have to talk about this part

because the first four notes are awesome we have a fifth here and what I mean by

that is on a piano these two notes are literally five notes apart and that

space between those two notes or the interval of a fifth is typically used to

announce something grand like a battle opening or a trumpet playing something

reverential

or in honza more score for Man of Steel and what I love that the music does here

is okay it announces something with that major fifth but then it's like it grabs

us by the shoulders and says no you didn't hear me right let me pull you

another fifth but even higher so it plays two major fifths one after the

other and it really catches their attention right we're just primed to

react that way to this type of an interval it's almost like I'm looking at

a brontosaurus and I keep trying to look up to see the top of it and finally by

the time I almost reach the top is that part it goes but of them but I'm

bump-bump so it's like okay get it this is this is big I really have to notice

this

and then this part of the track brings to mind a sense of being in the

helicopter and seeing the dinosaurs from afar and just being able to look at them

with your own eyes but also being able to consider the concept of the fact that

you're actually looking at dinosaurs right from that relaxed point of view or

even on the flipside I can imagine coming to the island and just

considering the fact that I'm gonna be seeing these animals and then I love all

these flutes doing these flourishes later on it's just again it's a very

John Williams sort of a style and it gives that sense of like something

exciting happening and then back to the piano part and I think it really closes

the loop there but it's not just a story about dinosaurs but our relationship to

them our ideas about them and our experience with them which really starts

at a young age learning about them and playing with all those dinosaur toys and

that sort of stuff so all in all I love the center to this movie I love the main

theme and all its variations I think it's a classic obviously and it'll be

one of them here at soundtracks of all time for the rest of my life I listen to

it someone often so anyhow thank you for watching and let me know what you think

in the comments below and if you enjoyed this video please consider subscribing

liking and sharing and if you really enjoyed this video please consider

one-to-one about music or a lot of behind-the-scenes exclusive content and

many more things so as always thank you for watching soundtrack reviews and I'll

"Sound is so important. To be able to trust what you hear." | Genelec 8331| Home Studio - Duration: 1:38.

Sound is so important. To be able to trust what you hear.

I'm Emilia Takayama and I work as a musician and a composer

and as a piano tuner and a piano teacher.

I have been a professional musician since the early 2000s.

I have been in many bands and employed by many artists.

Well, music is my life.

We're now here in my home studio in Askola, Finland.

And this set-up is pretty nice. It's a joy to work here at the moment.

It's a luxury to be able to work from home.

It has pros and cons, but I'm definately happy to be able to do it.

I have a pair of Genelec's The Ones monitors, the 8331s.

And they are really, really good monitors.

The first time I had a listen, I started laughing, because they sound so good.

What you hear is so important. Not to have to doubt.

I can't say it otherwise.

These are the best monitors I've ever used.

Location independent? These 6 Jobs work for Digital Nomads! - Duration: 9:31.

Welcome back to my Nomadic Channel!

Today's video is all about the one topic that makes or breaks this fantastic lifestyle:

WORKING LOCATION INDEPENDENT

The following jobs can easily be practised from home, on the road and most importantly

from anywhere in the world!

First, I might have rob you of the illusion

that it is easy to find a location independent job.

Most companies would let you work from home every once in a while,

but not showing up at the office at all

is usually not an option.

Now, you are especially lucky because I already

had to go through the process of finding location independent work

and might be able to give you some valuabel advice.

So I would like to start by going into detail about some realistic jobs for digital nomads,

followed by HOW TO FIND these jobs.

And this part is very important, so please bear with me to the end!

And if you enjoyed the video, please feel free to like it and subscribe to my channel!

I'm naming this one first, not because it is the most common one,

but because I could call myself a bit of an expert in this field.

I am currently working for to companies in Germany,

developing social media strategies

as well as designing and managing daily posts

for Instagram and Facebook.

In short, supporting the marketing department with all social media related activities.

The professional title "Social Media Strategist, Curator or Manager"

however you'd like to call it,

is still relatively new, which brings along the opportunity

to freely define the tasks and responsibility of this position.

For example, you could mainly be consulting,

or else create video and photo content,

write blog posts and/or offer basic graphic and website design.

You don't have to have a degree

in Social Media Marketing or something similar,

- I learnt most of it by doing... -

but it is important to bring some passion for social media

and ideally some experience working with Facebook Ads.

The downside is that many companies have only just started

to free up an entire position for the social media activity

which means they're often not sure how much time

and budget they are willing to invest

in a social media marketer.

However, I'm almost certain that will change over the next decade

and that this profession is going to be a beneficial niche

especially for Digital Nomads.

One of the most popular jobs amongst Digital Nomads

to this day is still web- and app development

which requires a little bit more technical knowledge

than the Social Media Manager.

The biggest advantage of this job is

the massive demand for web development.

There are so so many small companies out there,

more than we imagine,

that are struggling to come up with a professional

and competitive website for their business.

Especially smaller companies often don't have

the money to spend on an experienced web developer

and would therefore be willing to give the opportunity to newbies and even amateurs.

As prices have been skyrocketing for

website development lately,

you can definitely expect to be paid well in this field.

So, if you are at all skilled and interested

in the technical stuff,

you might want to consider this job an option.

You have always been into languages

but decided not to study for becoming a teacher?

Or you are a certified teacher, but don't want to be tied to one school?

Depending on your experience and expertise

your options and potential income from teaching online

will naturally also vary.

Underneath this video you will find a couple of links

to online plattforms that will help you get certified

and later even find students for you.

I know teaching is not for everyone,

- speaking for myself I would be way to impatient -

But for those of you who are blessed with patience,

I can definitely recommend online teaching

as a very good way to work location independent.

Yes, blogging can be a real profession!

Have you heard of INFLUENCER MARKETING?

Then you might know what I am talking about.

For those of you who don't... I am not talking about

hobby bloggers who post on their

semiprofessional website every once in a while

to keep friends and family posted

but I am talking about professional bloggers.

Blogging can be incredibly hard and complex

and takes up way more time and effort than most people know.

But if you are still keen to give it a try

there is a ton of good YouTube content and tutorials

on how to become a professional blogger.

If I remember correctly, Webswitch made a good one...

As a copywriter, you will be writing for other websites

and topics can be anything!

which is why it is very important

to specialise in a certain topic or industry,

mainly to stick out of the crowd

as the market for copywriting is very close to saturated.

Virtual Assistant (male or female)!

In my opinion one of these trending professions

and to be exact a Virtual Assistant is more or less

a secretary - but without the coffee making! ;)

Means you will be taking over administrative tasks

for your employer and that can be anything from

appointment scheduling over data collection to

answering calls.

Your most valuable skills for this job are

reliability, punctuality and even though

or maybe especially BECAUSE you are working remotely

responsiveness!

Sales, customer service or call centre.

At least for now there is a huge demand for this one.

Especially bigger companies like Apple

are always looking for new employees for their

online customer service.

So, if you don't mind being on the phone a lot

and working on a strict schedule

you might enjoy the 'location independent call center'.

If you are more like me however

looking to travel the world while working

you might find the commitment of this job

a little challenging.

Now let's finally talk about HOW TO FIND these jobs!

As always there is some websites that have specialised

in jobs for digital nomads...

most of the vacancies however are still limited

to the U.S and U.S citizens only.

But I will add some links that helped me

to the description of this video.

The second -and more realistic apporach-

is trial and error.

By which I mean you might have to bite the bullet

and apply randomly to a few different companies

and hope for the best.

Or else you can bring up the topic

once you have been invited to an interview.

Tell them that you would love the job,

but only if you could work from your own home.

Of course, that only goes well using the right words,

convincing your future boss that he would save costs

for your office space,

and that you are a very reliable and responsive worker.

At least that's how I got my first job!

Alright, now are you ready for my TOP INSIDER TIP?

INSIDER TIP

Okay, it's not thaaat special...

but very effective!

What I am talking about are FACEBOOK GROUPS.

Now, this might sound a little unprofessional to you,

but the awesome thing about FB groups is

that you can get in touch with potential employers directly,

saving time and formalities in comparison to a normal

application process.

In FB groups everyone can say clearly what is needed

or offered and then continue the conversation

in Messenger or via e-mail.

I found my second job within the group

DIGITAL MEDIA WOMAN, but of course there are

many many other great Facebook groups for that.

A little bit more professional in that sense

is LinkedIn and I can highly recommend

creating a profile there.

Alright, I hope I did not forget anything,

I could honestly talk about this topic for ages...

If you have any unanswered questions, please let me know in the comments below

I am always happy to read and answer them,

and of course I would also love to learn about your personal experience with remote working!

Thank you so much for watching,

feel free to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe...

and I will see you on the next one!!

WHY ARE RAW FOOD SO EXPENSIVE VS. PROCESSED FOODS - Duration: 3:55.

hey guys back with another video today I am talking about raw foods and processed

foods I seen this on my Instagram page I thought it was a great piece of content

to talk about at this point because I had noticed it as well I was meaning for

about about a week to put a post on my Instagram page with the same question

why is raw fruits and vegetables things that are good for us

despite organic or non-organic fruits or vegetables do have some type of

pesticides on to keep them from getting rotten from bugs and stuff like that

that eat at the fruit and the vegetables I'm trying to understand why there's so

much more expensive than processed foods you know it's like it's an arm and a leg

to try to find a deal when you're trying to you know eat raw or eat a little bit

more healthier maybe 80% raw 20% you know cooked foods and processed

foods but it seems like when you're trying to do the right thing for the

body it starts to get expensive I know a lot of people that were juicing

that had to stop juicing because it was getting to be too expensive to buy these

fruits and vegetables but you know when you they feel as

though because they have a family some people didn't have a family it just is

more reasonable to buy processed foods and nothing fresh as far as fruits and

vegetables because it can get really pricey and I really think that the

people who are left in charge of our fate when it comes to what is put in the

supermarket they have plants for us and they're not good plans and the reason

why I say that is because you would think that if they wanted us as a nation

to get healthy they would make the raw fruits and vegetables

affordable and then the processed food which should be optional for people who

maybe they don't like raw fruits and vegetables that should be a little bit

more pricier because you know when you eat processed food it causes a lot of

health problems when you eat raw diet it heals and detoxes and it does a lot of

wonderful things that processed foods are not going to do for you so for them

to make it hard the food administration for us to be able to purchase raw fruits

and vegetables some people happen to change over their lifestyle because of

it being too expensive to me it's a really sad situation and I would like to

hear your opinion on this and maybe you don't even notice that the raw fruits

and vegetables are more expensive and I'm bringing this to your attention and

showing you awareness on it now so that when you go into the grocery store you

can see exactly what I'm talking about and I would also like to hear

suggestions on how do you think we can change the situation and make it better

for our community to be able to get the fresh fruits and vegetables and live a

healthy productive life and a longer life adding fruits and vegetables into

the equation so with all that being said please subscribe to the channel like and

share this video and make it a favorite and I'll see you guys in the next video

bye for now

i procrastinated so i'm suffering but it's chill | not really studying with nina 7 - Duration: 16:24.

hello my frens :^)

it's nina and i am back with a video

so it is just another sunday evening (when i filmed this)

it's 4:30 p.m.

and i just felt like

actually no, not "felt like"

i have to study

but i did feel like studying with you guys

so

let's get into it

actually today i have a lot of stuff due

i kind of procrastinated

last week and so

now i'm doing a lot because

past me decided to make future me do all of these things

so now i am doing all of past nina's work

tonight i am going to suffer

because past me decided to not be a good student

so i have to read

[calculating page count]

wow

are you telling me i have to read 200 pages

for one class

and then we have

[more calculating]

wow ok

i'm supposed to read about 250 pages tonight

i don't know if that's even humanly possible

but we'll see how it goes

so anyway i did go to a concert recently

and because of that concert i had to

push everything to the first half of the week

so that the last half of the week i can recover

and not worry about anything

but instead of actually taking care of everything

i decided to just

leave everything for the weekend

but i was busy this weekend

so that didn't work out

anyway, so we're just gonna get started on that i guess

so usually i use

headphones to listen to music as i study

but i'll just

kind of keep them on

yea ok i don't know how this is gonna work

i've been using these earphones recently to

study, but i'll have

one ear off so it doesn't

seem like you're completely just out of it

also if i have these on i'm going to shout

because these are noise-canceling earphones

so as i study i'm going to listen to some lofi hip hop

so i actually got a lot of questions about

what these headphones are called

and they are the bose quiet comfort 35 ver. 2

something like that

i don't even know what they're called, hold on

yes, bose quietcomfort 35 II

they are pretty pricey but honestly

it's worth the money

these are the best purchase that i've made

and i would recommend it

it cancels out all the noise

and especially if you're in college

you're going to need these because

background sound is very distracting

totally worth my money

so recently i've also been bullet journaling

and i also get a lot of questions about bullet journaling as well

i'll make another

video that's more specific about the bullet journal

for this video

i can at least show you what my week looks like so far

so this is my entire week

and what i like to do is on sundays

i like to plan out my entire week

at least dedicate an hour

it takes a lot of time to plan out your entire week

you need time

and if i do this during the week

i'm going to be messy

so i like to take care of it on sunday night

sunday night's usually the time where i can just chill

and take care of things

so i planned out my entire week

as you can see right here

and my layout, i've tried

every single layout possible

my layouts have been actually very complicated in the past

this video suddenly became a bullet journal tour

but

as you can see, i've tried this weekly layout

you can't really see it but as you can see

it's empty because i didn't stick with it

i don't know why i didn't stick with it

it's actually very simple but

i don't know why i didn't stick with it

i guess it was just too organized that i felt pressured

anyway it's got cute water bottles

i drew water bottles

to monitor how much water i'm drinking

that didn't work out

so i tried that layout

and then i also tried

actually you know what

this monthly layout, honestly not that complicated

and i kinda used it

so i might just get back into it

it just takes time, so i haven't had the time to do it

all my layouts have been just frickin complicated

i'm just over it

and so i kind of, like literally

i even tried this layout

where i actually measured out boxes

that didn't work out, i didn't even fill it

so now i just moved on to the simplest method

i just

i wanted something that i could keep up with

and so i made it as simple as possible

and it still looks pretty okay

to me it's pretty organized, so that's all that matters

i'm just completely over trying to make it look pretty

but anyway, so on sunday

i have to

oh my god

i forgot i did my laundry

i can do my laundry later

so right now i am doing

readings

that's all i ever do, i only ever do readings for classes

and then i do some papers eventually

but for now

all i have

are

readings

so the first reading i'm reading is

30 pages long

it's a fun time

a beautiful thing about this semester

is that i haven't had to buy any textbooks

because everything is online like

i don't know what i did to deserve this but

i'm so happy i didn't have to buy any textbooks

because everything is online

so that's what makes me happy

and i feel like it's just better for

the environment? not really

not, mm.

no

anything we do as humans is not really good for the environment

so what i just said doesn't really apply either

but it's definitely just a lot less for me to carry

a lot less for me to pay for

so that's a pretty chill thing

not sponsored

i just went through namjoon

now i'm going through taehyung

and then i'm just going to go through everyone else

i should really watch my posture

ooh i should highlight that

also if you're wondering, this is a pajama shirt

i got it on sale

at anthropologie actually

it's a very, very pricey store

i actually got this as a gift

but this was on sale

it was $20

it was much more expensive than that

and with anthropologie

that's a steal, actually

also not sponsored

i'm just mentioning a lot of brands in this video

muji

but i do get a lot of questions

about my pens that i use

and these are muji pens

wow this is actually almost out of ink

a lot of people use muji and so

i actually was introduced to muji by a friend

and then i fell in love

i highly recommend

these are 0.38 (point)

and that is honestly

so fine

this is just where it's at

i really like this pajama shirt

i really just like how flowy it is

you can also wear it outdoors

or indoors as i'm

ow

as i'm doing right now

oh

if you're wondering what this is

it's just a portable charger

i actually just went to a concert recently

i'm not gonna think about it or else i will get emotional

but i did go to a bts concert recently

best time of my life

honestly the happiest time of my life

i haven't been to a concert in two years before that

which is why i'm doing all these readings

because last week i just couldn't deal with it

so i just procrastinated everything for today

it's fine, who cares

just gotta read through everything

ooh

that's interesting

social environment

ooh thus

this is spicy

throughout this day i drank like

six cups of water

this is probably the most i've hydrated

in a short amount of time

i actually felt my brain flowing

everything was just flowing smoothly

and i was like

this is what happens when you drink water!

throughout my college days

sometimes i don't drink enough water

just because i don't really have the time

and also, i really

i swallow really loudly

so i can't really drink water in class

and so if i'm swallowing water in class

it's a very loud swallow sound

so sometimes i just don't wanna drink water

so i don't have my swallow be heard by the entire class

i should stay hydrated

but i've literally just had water

all day

but usually i only drink water as it is

i don't really have juice

or soda, i actually don't have soda

i haven't had soda since

years

water really is that-

biiiii-

b word

i've become too soft to curse out loud

sometimes it's important to stretch

make sure you're stretching, getting that blood flowing

just literally get into some yoga

[grunts]

it's good for your physicality and your mentality

sometimes you gotta crack your back as well

when i'm cracking my back

it can crack many times, in fact

this might actually make some of you guys cringe

but i need to

actually that wasn't that much

usually it cracks 10-15 times

and it sounds really beautiful to my ears

but it's important that you stretch periodically

you know what, even stand up sometimes

i'm wearing shorts because this pajama top

does not come with frickin

pajama bottoms

sometimes when you're studying just

just go for it

hold on i need to put my headphones on securely

see now with my noise-canceling earphones

i can't hear anything so i'm probably shouting right now

and that's how great the quality is

heck even reach for your toes

[shrieks in pain]

ow my back

oww

[squeals]

this actually feels very nice

sometimes you just need a good stretch to get your blood flowing

uGHHHH

sometimes when i'm watching youtube videos

or if i'm on my phone i'll just stretch at the same time

and right now i can do some stretching

while i read

anyway so now that we're done with that

we can get back to our studies

it's just very important that you take care of your health

make sure you're stretchin

make sure you take care of yourself

stay hydrated

i actually don't really need to drink water right now

hm, it's still really sunny outside

i always think it's frickin night

because i'm facing a wall

i considered having my desk

facing the window

but just the way that my room was laid out

this was the only thing that made sense

and so i'm facing a wall

it's fine, i have all these

things hanging up here so it's

nice, and also i have this wall to

hang up all these notices, and

things that i need to do

i like it

earlier when i was studying, i actually listened to

animal crossing music compilation videos on youtube

and

upon listening to that

it brought up so many memories

i was so into animal crossing

i would spend my entire life on that

i played it on my nintendo ds, it was

what was it called?

city folk?

it wasn't city folk, what was it?

i think it was city folk, animal crossing,

the first animal crossing game i had

was called animal crossing wild world

it was such a long time ago

and i haven't played it since i was a kid

and it was honestly the best time

i was selling fossils

i was making a lot of money

i was honestly rich

i was upgrading my house all the time

and then i would cheat sometimes and skip the time

so that it was like years from now

so i could get more fossils so i could sell that

i was making a lot of money in those games

the economy in animal crossing, like

can we get to that?

but when i'm studying i like to

listen to music that doesn't have words in it

and so i thought

why not animal crossing, that was honestly

the best background music ever

i realized this has been sitting here this entire time

now everyone knows i use bts lotion

i should put it in my backpack though

because i actually do need it

nooooooo

studying with contact lenses makes me very tired

it's just i already have my contact lenses on

so i didn't want to take them off

because then i can't put them back on

so i was like

what to do..

hOLY HECK

DON'T YAWN

it's just like, people really be writing

30 page things about a certain topic

it's like

what a way to spend your life

ok well

my camera is going to die soon

so i think this is

where this video ends

obviously i'm going to be up

all night to finish all these readings

hope you enjoyed studying with me :3

i'm stuck studying for the next

probably 8 hours, honestly

umm

cool what a fun time heck yea

i hope this video was a good waste of time

i hope you continue your studies or

take a nap, go to sleep

go get food, whatever you need to do

and i am going to leave it at this

we are of course going to end it with a hug, lemme just

there's no button but, um

there we go, okay

thanks for watching and i'll see you guys next time

goodbye!!
