The paper the Institute publishes today on housing fits exactly the template of

the type of policy we're trying to produce. Radical but sensible; progressive

but in a way that it aligns with the modern world and is not in defiance of it.

David Adler, our housing expert, produces five radical proposals which, taken

together, form a bold and ambitious agenda that will help us resolve the

housing crisis in a way that undercuts the alienation many people feel and the

dissatisfaction with democracy. It does however mark one quite radical departure

in housing philosophy. Whilst we celebrate in the paper the virtues of

home ownership, we also accept that we definitely need in this country a

flourishing rental sector, and there may be other forms of tenure besides

home ownership that suit the needs of people particularly at certain stages of

their life. It's however very hard to produce such a policy paper today

without once again contemplating the extraordinary and distractive impact of

Brexit. These issues around housing are exactly the type of thing where the

energies and focus and government should be directed. And the government of course

did make certain proposals on housing in the budget but we need to go far further.

And just think of how much more productive it would be if the energies

of ministers and those civil servants instead of being directed towards Brexit

were actually directed towards how we resolved this housing crisis in a way

that is fair, just, modern and effective. So these papers that we're producing fit

a pattern. Whether it's the papers on European migration - how we retain freedom

of movement but put in proper controls around it -

the recent paper we did on technology, this paper on housing or the papers to

come on areas like infrastructure, welfare, public services, the purpose of

all of them together is to create a policy platform, an agenda,

that shows the country there is a different and better

way to meet the urgent requirements of change, but in a way that deals with the

real problems and doesn't end up with the destructive impact of Brexit. So I

hope you will study these proposals, look at them, and engage in debate with us.

You can do that by going to #TBIHousing or you can follow us online in

the debate we're conducting. Thank you very much.

Couple Adopt Dying Neighbour's 3 Kids But When They Get Home, Their Old House Has Gone - Duration: 2:08.

Couple Adopt Dying Neighbours 3 Kids But When They Get Home, Their Old House Has Gone

Audrey, a single mother of three had been feeling under the weather for quite some time.

The doctor recommended that she head over to the hospital for testing.

She asked her neighbours (who she only knew a little) if they wouldnt mind taking care

of their kids for the night.

Tisha, Audreys neighbour, who is a mother of five, gladly agreed to help.

There wasnt much space in her home but she was more than happy to accommodate.

After an incredibly anxious wait, Audreys results came in.

The doctor asked her to come to the surgery.

Unfortunately, it was bad news and Audrey found out that she was diagnosed with stage

two oesophageal and stomach cancer Heartbreakingly, it was terminal.

Andrey knew her time was running out but she was prepared to fight before it was too late.

She also wanted to make sure her children were going to be okay after the troubling

circumstances once she passes away.Audrey and Tisha werent close friends.

Busy working lives and 8 children between them prevented them having the time to get

to know each other more than just neighbourly.

Regardless, Audrey took a chance and asked if Tisha would become the legal guardian to

her three children.

Amazingly, Kevin and Tisha agreed, with five children of their own, they knew it would

be a struggle but selflessly opened the doors to their home to three more.

They wanted to help, they wanted to do all they could to ease the pain the children would

suffer, with their mothers imminent passing growing ever closer.

Audrey thought she had more time on Earth, but sadly, her time was cut short.

Below is a highly emotional video that tells the heartbreaking tale in a way that words

on a page cant.

The FOX5 Surprise Squad came to hear about the selfless actions of Tisha and Kevin

that helped to aid the heartbreak of the three children left behind.

Newcastle launch enquiry for Manchester United star Luke Shaw but put off by £20m asking price - Duration: 2:25.

Newcastle launch enquiry for Manchester United star Luke Shaw but put off by £20m asking price

RAFA BENITEZ has made an enquiry about Luke Shaw – but has been put off by his £20million pricetag. The Newcastle boss wants a left-back in January and was keen on Manchester United's out-of-favour England international.

But even though the Red Devils are willing to take a £7m hit on the £27m they paid to sign Shaw from Southampton in 2014, that is still too much for the penny-pinching Toon.

And a loan move also appears out of the question with Jose Mourinho wanting to sell the full-back permanently.

Shaw, 22, moved from the Saints when Louis van Gaal was in charge at Old Trafford but his career suffered a huge setback when he broke his leg in September 2015.

Since returning to fitness, the seven-cap Three Lions defender has failed to impress Mourinho, making just two appearances off the bench in the Carabao Cup this season.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce also asked about Shaw last month but the Englishman was not interested in that move.

Toon chief Benitez, meanwhile, is desperate for cover on the left of his back four having badly missed Paul Dummett since the Geordie injured his hamstring on the opening weekend.

TOON LITTLE Benitez to have limited funds if Ashley is still Newcastle owner in January Centre-half Chancel Mbemba and right-back Javier Manquillo have been filling in for Dummett, who is back in training but is still not fit to face Chelsea tomorrow.

Manchester United revealed earlier this month that they will sell Shaw for £20m after telling the defender he is no longer needed at Old Trafford.

Carl Frampton trainer Jamie Moore close to retirement but now is hungry for success - Duration: 8:58.

Carl Frampton trainer Jamie Moore close to retirement but now is hungry for success

"I told Nigel Travis, 'If Tommy Coyle retires, I'm done with this training'," said Moore.

The former British and European light-middleweight champion had already grown tired of being the man in the corner and confided in friend and fellow coach Travis he was ready to pack it in.

He had initially become a coach by accident rather than design and the lack of enthusiasm from young prospects that came to his gym on the outskirts of Manchester had left him frustrated.

"Over the last three years I've trained some fighters and I've had to get rid of them, young prospects who should be the most enthusiastic and they are not," said Moore.

"I expect fighters to be as committed as I was, at the very least.

Why should I be dedicated to help them when they are not?" It was only the dedicated Coyle who kept him going, the fighter he took over after the well-respected manager Steve Wood had asked him to train him in 2013.

"I'll never be the same again" Jamie Moore Back then Moore was focused on his TV punditry work rather than coaching.

But this weekend he will be in the corner for one of the big names in the sport as Moore takes charge of former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton for the first time.

Now he has a gym bustling with 10 fighters as he also looks after some of Oliver Harrison's boxers with the Salford-based coach currently recovering from illness.

Suddenly Moore's name is much talked about and all eyes will be on him to see if he can guide Frampton back to the top of the featherweight division.

Handing in his trainer's licence is no longer on the agenda but perhaps why Moore had grown frustrated by boxers with a lack of dedication comes from his own drive to get where he is now.

Just over three years ago, the former fighter was lying in a hospital bed after being shot in Marbella.

It was a case of mistaken identity after Moore had travelled to Spain to train old rival Matthew Macklin, who he faced in an epic battle back in 2006.

But Moore felt he was about to die outside of his rented accommodation as blood poured from the wounds where bullets had pierced through his skin multiple times.

However just two months later, he was back in the gym with Hull fighter Coyle, who would be his only charge for the next three years.

"A couple of months after it happened I was in bed in my living room, as I couldn't around much, and I was getting Tommy to pick me up and take me to the gym," Moore said.

"I was still able to get to the gym to oversee the training. It was my way of forgetting about what happened.

"But I'll have a memory of what happened forever because I'll never be the same again." Moore put on a brave face during the recovery but his words now convey the pain he has gone through to get back into the ring and be able to move around on the pads with his fighters.

At one point that looked like an almost impossible task as, for a year after the shooting, there was no recovery in his left leg.

Moore could not move his foot, with his lower leg feeling "like jelly" and a specialist told him he would never be able to run again. "My left leg will never be the same again," he said.

"But I've made it my ambition to try to get it as good as it will work. "The specialists and physios have been brilliant but they never expected to get where it is at.

"I went back to see the surgeon who fixed the nerve a year later and my foot was not moving from the calf down, it was just basically like jelly.

"He said, 'Usually by now there is some reaction to the surgery so I don't anticipate you getting any recovery'. I said, 'I will'.

"I asked him if I would ever run again and he said, 'No'. He said I'd have to wear a foot support forever but I told him that wasn't going to happen either.

"Only about two-and-a-half months later I started to get these little flickers in my muscles he was talking about and from that point on it has gone from strength to strength." That was thanks to the painstaking work by Moore every day to get his leg to recover and expensive physiotherapy sessions with a nerve specialist in Manchester.

But not only did he run again, he ran 13.1 miles in the Great Manchester Run last year for the Niamh's Next Step Charity and even the pain of the bullet still lodged in his hip could not stop him.

He was due to do the race around the time he got shot, so the milestone meant even more to him.

"I don't think you'd have known how difficult it was because I never let on," he said. "Part of my recovery mechanism was to cover it up and nobody really knew how much pain I was in.

"I didn't want people to make a fuss or look at me in a way that they thought I couldn't do something. "I am a proud man.

I just wanted to get back as close I was before as quickly as I could.

It's been such a difficult three years." Now the rewards for those hard years are here and the journey with Frampton starts on Saturday when the Belfast fighter returns to the ring against Mexican Horacio Garcia at the SSE Arena.

If Frampton returns to the top of the featherweight division with Moore as his coach, then there will be queues of fighters looking to be trained by the former warrior in the ring.

"I feel luck I've been given the opportunity to work with someone like Carl, not many would get this chance so early in their training career," said Moore.

"Certainly not one who was looking for a way out in the next couple of years. "Ever since that happened in Marbella, my outlook on life is different.

I am so much more grateful about every single aspect of my life. "I know it was the most horrendous thing that happened in Marbella, but if that didn't happen all this other good stuff may not be happening now.

"It's a test of character, it is a test to see if you can come through those set-backs, they teach you lessons and then you have to put them into stuff in the future.

"I've been through some horrible things in the last few years and now these are the rewards for it. "The lessons I learned over that period of time I will be able to pass on and help people.".

Taylor Swift was the draw — but not the real star — at KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball - Duration: 3:43.

Taylor Swift at Jingle Ball. (Kent Nishimura / Los Angeles Times). But you wouldn't say Swift appeared to be having fun exactly — or rather that she was finding much inspiration in Jingle Ball's businesslike atmosphere.

At one point she remade "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," her and Zayn's dark electro-pop duet from "Fifty Shades Darker," as a tender country tune with strong vocals and the beginnings of an impressive arrangement.

Fleshed out, it's likely to be a highlight of the full show she takes on tour next year.

Here, though, the song felt rushed, not quite thought through; it had a distinct whiff of good-enough, a rarity for this most ambitious and exacting of pop superstars. At least Swift was making half a go of it.

The EDM bros of the Chainsmokers — one wearing his red-plaid "Christmas pants," as he noted proudly — seemed to be giving about 20% of their attention to their performance, both the loudest and dullest of the night.

Ditto Liam Payne, who sleepwalked — sleep-gyrated? — through his oily R&B tracks, and Payne's former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan, who almost lulled the place to sleep with his dreary folk ditties.

As always, Demi Lovato made every other singer look lazy in lung-busting renditions of "Tell Me You Love Me" and "Sorry Not Sorry," fierce soul declarations from the excellent album she released in September.

But her set had no internal logic; the new songs were jammed against much dumber old ones (including "Cool for the Summer") that only emphasized the burden of old KIIS playlists.

Two performers disrupted Jingle Ball's clock-punching vibe. The first, surprisingly, was Charlie Puth, a textbook industry climber who put across genuine charm and daffy enthusiasm in "Attention" and a gospel-fied take on "See You Again.".

Charlie Puth performs at Jingle Ball. (Kent Nishimura / Los Angeles Times). The other was Kesha.

Backed by an improbably large live band featuring several horn players, she appeared not to have been told that this wasn't her show as she tore into "Woman," a swinging retro-R&B jam with loads of radio-unfriendly language.

And she was just as raw in her ballad "Praying," which describes her mistreatment at the hands of a tormentor many have assumed to be her old producer Dr. Luke, whom she's publicly accused of sexual and emotional abuse.

Singing with her eyes closed and her mind who knows where, Kesha tapped into something deep and believable Friday — a real artist amid a bunch of people at work.

Arsenal mocked after dominating Manchester United but not scoring despite peppering goal - Duration: 1:03.

Arsenal mocked after dominating Manchester United but not scoring despite peppering goal

ARSENAL were mocked online for failing to score despite totally dominating against Manchester United. Arsene Wengers side peppered David De Gea between the sticks but simply could not find a way through.

And despite the United keepers heroics - such as the incredible stop to deny an own goal from Romelu Lukaku - it was the Gunners inability to finish that led to much ridicule. One Twitter user wrote: Vintage Arsenal.

Another said: Arsenal players not hungry today? Cant finish their dinner. A fellow fan posted: Only Arsenal could have that many absurdly close chances and not finish a single one.

Food cues boost our cravings but not our pleasure - Duration: 3:36.

Food cues boost our cravings but not our pleasure

Food cues—like smelling French fries or seeing photos of them on a menu display—can amp up our hunger and cravings, but not our enjoyment.

"Food-related cues can make people want or crave food more, but don't have as much of an impact on their liking, or the pleasure they get from eating the food," says Michelle Joyner, a psychology graduate student at the University of Michigan and the study's lead author.

The study involved 112 college participants, who disclosed their weight, race, gender, and other demographics. All were randomly assigned to a fast-food laboratory—designed like an actual restaurant with tables/chairs, booths, and low background music—or a neutral lab.

Participants, who ate lunch one hour before the study's trial, could receive tokens to acquire foods typically available at fast-food restaurants, such as a cheeseburger, French fries, milkshake, and soft drink.

Tokens could also buy time for an alternate activity, such as playing video games on a tablet. Both the food and game choices appeared on large TV screens.

The study questions focused on wanting, liking, and hunger. Wanting is a strong motivation while liking involves pleasure.

When exposed to food-related cues, participants felt more hungry in the fast-food lab than the neutral environment. The cues, however, did not make a difference in participants liking the food's taste in either environment. Junk food is way more distracting than kale.

People consumed 220 more calories in fast-food environments that have food-related cues than those who ate in non-cue locations, the study results indicate. Joyner says food cues did not impact wanting or liking for games, suggesting the effect is specific to food.

Joyner and colleagues say it's important for people to arm themselves with knowledge about how food cues can trick them into thinking they are hungry and increasing their desire for food.

"It is hard it is to avoid food cues in our current environment, but people can try some strategies to minimize their exposure by not going into restaurants and using technology to skip food advertisements in TV shows," Joyner says.

The study appears in Clinical Psychological Science.

Rachael Ray Gives $1 Mil To Harvey Victims, But People Notice It's Different Than Everyone Else's - Duration: 2:37.

Rachael Ray Gives $1 Mil To Harvey Victims, But People Notice It's Different Than Everyone

Else's

The aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has brought unimaginable devastation to the affected areas

in Texas and Louisiana.

Thousands of people have been displaced – people have lost everything, some have even lost

their lives.

Our hearts break for those affected by this terrible storm.

Thankfully, thousands of people from around the world have rushed to help.

Some have actually come to the flood-ravaged area to lend a helping hand while others have

donated money to the many charitable organizations that are on the ground.

Celebrity chef Rachael Ray is one of many celebrities who have put their support behind

the rescue efforts happening in the parts of the country hit by the tropical storm,

but people have noticed one major difference in the donation she has made.

Texas holds a special place in Ray's heart.

For the past nine years, she has traveled to Austin to host the Feedback food and music

event at the South by Southwest music festival.

When she heard about the devastation in Texas, Ray immediately thought of something else

that holds a special place in her heart – animal rescue.

As we have seen, many animals were sadly left behind as families fled.

Others got separated or were already strays that were put in even more dire situations

because of the flood.

Some were not allowed in the shelters where their families had taken refuge.

Shelters have been inundated with animals needing help, so much so that they have had

to send some of the animals they already had to other shelters as far away as Seattle,

Washington, to make room for the tidal wave of animals in need.

When Ray saw the innumerable helpless animals in need, her heart broke and she knew she

needed to do something to help.

Ray herself is mama to rescued pit bull Isaboo and has raised millions of dollars for forgotten

pets over the years, but she knew she needed to do more.

On Thursday she announced that her Rachael Ray Foundation will be donating $1 million

to organizations helping with the animal hurricane relief effort.

"The donation will be made through The Rachael Ray Foundation, which helps homeless pets

and animals in need and is funded by a portion of the proceeds from each sale of Rachael

Ray Nutrish Super Premium Foods and Treats," the announcement said.

So far, they have donated $100,000 to both the SPCA of Texas and Austin Pets Alive!.

We know the work has only just begun.

It could take years for the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey to fully recover.

Sadly, while many people are quick to help right after a tragedy, that help slows as

time goes on and new needs arise.

Hopefully, Ray's donation, along with the donations of millions of other caring people

around the globe, will help make sure these people and animals receive all the care they

need as they work to rebuild their lives.

Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial in Arsenal-MU, but the attacking players. - Duration: 8:13.

Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial in our Arsenal-Manchester United combined XI, but who starts in attack?

ARSENAL welcome Manchester United this weekend with both sides in desperate need of a victory. This was the Premier Leagues most anticipated match for a decade from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s.

But the emergence of Chelsea and later Manchester City as a major force has seen this clash take a back seat. Jose Mourinhos arrival at United has re-ignited his public feud with Arsene Wenger, but there is still far less quality on the pitch now than back then.

UN-FERG-ETTABLE Seven classic clashes against Manchester United including THAT day at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils started the season well, but will need a win here just to stay eight points behind City, while the Gunners are fighting to stay in contention for a top four place.

So who would make a combined XI? We take a look — using only players available for the Emirates encounter. Goalkeeper. David De Gea, Manchester United. REUTERS 13 David De Gea would get into most teams and is arguably best in world.

A relatively simple choice. Petr Cech has been a Premier League great, winning a medal on four occasions. But he is clearly struggling now, while De Gea is arguably the best goalkeeper on the planet. Defence.

AFP 13 Arsenals leader has matured in recent seasons and is a rock at the back. Has been superb for Arsenal, and is developing into a leader at the back.

Koscielny has improved so much since arriving in 2010 and now is one of the best in the league in his position. Victor Lindelof misses out, despite showing signs of progress against Brighton and Watford.

AFP 13 Shkodran Mustafi endeared himself to Arsenal fans with goal against Tottenham. Looked to be leaving in the summer, with Juventus and Inter Milan.

But Arsenal fans will have been relived to see Mustafi stay — and a goal against Tottenham does little harm to his standing among the Emirates faithful. Marcos Rojo, Manchester United.

AFP 13 Marcos Rojo has been shaky since return from injury but impressed last season. He may only be coming back from injury, but he was Uniteds best defender last season.

Rojo is rash and often lightweight, but has good positional sense — offering a good balance to the backline. Gets in ahead of Nacho Monreal due to the fact he is better suited to a central role. Right — Antonio Valencia, Manchester United.

AFP 13 Manchester Uniteds stand-in skipper Antonio Valencia is enjoying new role. Uniteds stand-in skipper has taken superbly to his new role and was arguably the best right-back in the Premier League last season.

Valencia never neglected his defensive duties while performing in a move advanced position earlier in his career. That has helped him adapt well, and he beats off competition from Hector Bellerin. Left — Sead Kolasinac, Arsenal.

GETTY 13 Sead Kolasinac has proven a brilliant signing since arriving on a free in summer. Not much more you can ask for from a free transfer.

Kolasinac has been a brilliant addition defensively, while also contributing at the other end. Uniteds Ashley Young has played well here this season, but misses out. Midfield. Nemanja Matic, Manchester United.

REUTERS 13 Nemanja Matic has struggled in absence of Paul Pogba, but is still important. Started off excellently following his big-money move from Chelsea, but has been a little bypassed in recent games.

Mistakes have crept into Matics game of late, but that could be down the absence of Paul Pogba and a general lack of protection. And he beats Granit Xhaka to make the side, despite the Swiss aces improvement and stunning goal in this fixture last season.

Paul Pogba, Manchester United.

AFP 13 Manchester United seriously struggled during Paul Pogbas period out. His quality was evidenced by how much United struggled during his absence.

Pogbas vision, range of passing and ability to turn defence into attack mark him out as the most important player in Mourinhos side. Comfortably makes it in ahead of Aaron Ramesy. Attack.

AFP OR LICENSORS 13 Alexis Sanchez is arguably the best player in Premier League on his day.

On his day he is a contender to be the Premier Leagues best player — and arguably possesses more quality than anyone else across these two sides.

But one of Sanchezs main issues is dealing with the fact he is still at Arsenal, despite his head clearly being elsewhere. Beats Marcus Rashford in this team, due in part also to the England mans recent struggles in front of goal.

Anthony Martial, Manchester United.

AFP 13 Anthony Martial needs to find consistency to be considered among the best. The Frenchman is so good, he can be anything he wants to be — but what does he want to be?.

Consistency is the key for Martial and he needs to single-handedly win his team a big match before he can truly be consider among the best. Beats Mesut Ozil in this team because, on his day, he is a better player at this moment in time.

Romelu Lukaku, Manchester United.

GETTY 13 Romelu Lukaku has eight goals and four assists but is on a barren spell currently. The goals may have dried up in recent times, but the Belgian has led the line well in most games for his new club.

Lukakus eight goals and four assists are superior to Alexandre Lacazette — who is injured — and would have seen him get the nod regardless. Needs to do it in a big game for United and this would be the perfect place to start.

Chelsea latest news: Rafa Benitez says he saved Chelsea but fan protests stopped him from staying - Duration: 4:43.

Chelsea latest news: Rafa Benitez says he saved Chelsea but fan protests stopped him from staying

RAFA BENITEZ has claimed he 'saved' Chelsea during his short stint at Stamford Bridge. And the Spaniard believes he would have stayed longer if Blues fans had not hounded him out.

Benitez today returns to Chelsea for the first time since his seven-month reign as boss in 2012-2013. The former Liverpool manager was made 'interim manager' in November 2012 after Roberto Di Matteo was given the boot.

He won the Europa League and even secured automatic qualification for the Champions League by finishing third in the Premier League.

But Benitez faced protests from a section of supporters throughout his time at Chelsea and he left them at the end of the  season, with Jose Mourinho returning to replace him.

Newcastle boss Benitez admitted: "Initially, Roman Abramovich brought me in to save the team and to achieve what we did achieve. "We finished third like Abramovich wanted — to qualify directly for the Champions League — and we won the Europa League in the meantime.

"My relationship with Abramovich was really good, with the people of the board it was really good. They knew we were professionals and we were doing our job. We were achieving what they expected.

"All the feedback that I had from the professionals and the board was very positive. But they couldn't manage  what happened with some fans.".

Benitez was booed  in his first game in charge against Manchester City — while   'Rafa out' banners became a theme during his  reign.

The hostility towards him stemmed from the fierce rivalry he had with the Blues when he was manager at Liverpool.

And Benitez, who was annoyed the club gave him the 'interim' tag, also revealed how a lie peddled on social media turned Blues fans further against him.  He said: "A teenager in the Czech Republic put on Twitter that I once said I would never  manage Chelsea.

That is simply not true — but then this story was created.

"So a group of fans weren't good to me. You can always hear those who are more vocal. But it doesn't mean they were the majority. I can tell you, a lot of fans were happy with me.

"When you go to the game, the rivalry between Chelsea and  Liverpool changed things and the perceptions of some people. But Benitez does not think he will receive a bad reception when he goes back to the Bridge today.

He insisted: "I had so many  messages telling me I did really well. The fans in the street at the end, were saying, 'Carry on, you're doing a great job'. So I think the fans will be fine when I go back.".

Benitez knows his opposite number Antonio Conte well from their respective times at Napoli and Juventus in Italy. CLAIM YOUR FREE £30 BET Check out this new sign up offer from Sun Bets.

And he believes the Blues are still  contenders to defend their title. Benitez, whose side have not won any of their last five matches, knows Newcastle will have their work cut out against the champions.

He said: "To come to another country and win the league at a massive club, Antonio Conte did really well. "This year they have played against other teams who are stronger and they also play in one more competition, the Champions League.

"But I think they are a very strong team who will be at the top of the table. They will be closer. Chelsea are a top side and it is difficult to go there and win.".
