Youtube daily can May 28 2018

Hello guys~long time no see :D

I am too busy(lazy...) to make new videos these days ><

Sorry and thank you guys still give me a lot of support xoxo

Today I wanna share some ideas with you~

Okay maybe you are not really interested in it lol

(suddenly speechless >_< haha)

haha I feel so awkward right now ...have no idea how to continue this

Anyways!

Let's start it !

A few weeks ago,I read an article and wanna share the ides with you guys :D

It's saying about that our life is like an box

We are living in the box ,doing the same things everyday,

leaving a mundane life everyday and it's tiring

we tend to find some excitement in life like going on a trip

and try to bury your head in the sand ><

The excitement(a travel)will become a motivation in your daily boring tiring life

let's say you are going on a trip after 200 days

So you make up my mind that you need work harder from now on

so that you could enjoy the trip

However, after the trip ,you back to the reality

you live a mundane life again

so you start to count down your next trip again

As time goes by, you will feel tired of this kind of circle

okay ! so now you are sick of everything here and want to make a big change in life

then you move to another country

now you are living the whole new life in a foreign country

you feel so excited about everything!

people, culture differences, ...etc !

Everything is just so amazing !

Take me for an example

When I came to Korea in the beginning

everything for me was so amazing!

including people here I met ,culture shocks even the subway!

I felt so excited to explore this city at that time

But now I've already been here for almost 2 years

I somehow lost the passion for this city

sometimes I even feel tired of living here >< so stressed out

What I want to say is

No matter where you are now

After a while , those used to bring excitement for you in life

would just become nothing special for you

and you would lost the passion for your life again

you start to think to find other exciting things

it's just like a endless circle

those excitement that you are looking for would be faded out one day as time goes by

Conclusion is !!

We need to find the meaning in our current life

what kind of things can really bring you happiness

It's important to know what things can bring value for you

not to chase a short-term happiness in your life

To be honest , I am still confused about my life

I was so amazed by this article when I read it at first time

so I wanna share this concept with you ~

If you have any ideas ,feedback or questions

or ... you have your own way in finding the value in your life

please share with me (comment below :D )

I would like to make videos about visa type in korea

or how to find jobs in Korea (what websites you can use ..etc)

even though you are not good at Korean how can you survive here

ok~~~see you guys in next video !

oh and if you are interested in any topic about Korea life just let me know!

Something like the interesting stories that I have in Korea

umm...or some tips for surviving in Korea

how to rent a house in Korea

anyways! let me know what kind of topic you are interested in :D

comment below~~

Bye bye 881~~~~xoxo

Trump says North Korea has brilliant potential, can be great economic nation - Duration: 1:38.

U.S. President Donald Trump has been heaping praise on North Korea again,... saying he

believes the North can be a great economic nation one day.

The sentiment echoes comments he made last week ahead of his summit with South Korean

President Moon Jae-in.

Watchers say Trump appears to be ready to offer economic rewards to Pyongyang in exchange

for its complete denuclearization.

Kim Hyo-sun tells us more.

President Trump says he believes North Korea will one day be a great economic and financial

nation,... adding it has brilliant potential.

This was what he wrote on his Twitter page on Sunday,... as he confirmed Washington and

Pyongyang are holding working-level talks in North Korea to coordinate the upcoming

summit between the two countries.

President Trump also said North Korean leader Kim Jong-un agrees with him about North Korea's

potential for a brighter future,... and it will happen.

He made similar remarks while answering reporters' questions ahead of last week's summit at the

White House with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Trump elaborated that South Korea has achieved remarkable growth backed by the trillions

of dollars of aid provided by Washington,... and North Korea can do the same,... highlighting

that they are the same people.

He also insisted the safety of Kim's regime will be guaranteed if Pyongyang abandons its

nuclear weapons.

Pundits say President Trump's remarks signal he's ready to offer massive economic rewards

to Pyongyang in exchange for its complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization.

Can you drink COFFEE in Ramadan?! - Duration: 3:56.

So what's the deal with coffee in Ramadan

some people say they'll make you dehydrated other people worry it'll make

you run to the bathroom more often and some Muslims are freaking out going

through caffeine withdrawal in Ramadan. In this video I'm gonna bust some

popular misconceptions about coffee to figure out whether coffee can stay in

your cup this Ramadan.

So there's a popular misconception that drinking

coffee will make you run to the bathroom all day and this is actually a

misinterpretation of an old research study if you don't drink coffee at all

right now then yes increasing your caffeine intake might cause an increase

in urination but regular daily coffee drinkers don't experience this effect

because they build up a tolerance for coffee and numerous research studies

have shown that if you already drink a moderate amount of coffee every day your

body has probably developed a tolerance to the diuretic effect so for you coffee

doesn't make you rush to the bathroom anymore second misconception about

coffee a lot of people are concerned that coffee is dehydrating and obviously

you wouldn't want to drink something dehydrating in Ramadan luckily the

research shows that this also isn't true the American Journal of Clinical

Nutrition conducted a study in 2016 to compare how hydrating different drinks

are and published the beverage hydration index so the beverage hydration index

ranks beverages according to how much fluid from the drink your body is able

to retain so basically how hydrating it is and the result of the study

surprisingly found that coffee and tea were not different from your body's

response to water in terms of urine production so coffee and tea are no more

dehydrating than drinking plain old water who woulda known the bottom line

is that if you struggle to stay hydrated in Ramadan your favorite sugar-free

drinks like coffee and tea can absolutely help contribute to your fluid

intake in an effortless way as long as you don't overdo it so even for you

regular coffee drinkers drinking too much coffee might make you dehydrated

because in this same study it was found that dehydrating effects of coffee might

emerge when the dose of caffeine exceeds 300

grams per day sowhat's 300 milligrams roughly 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day so

just drink less than 2 to 3 cups of coffee and you should be fine and

rumbled on if you're a regular coffee drinker totally manageable right one

final important point to keep in mind is that the actual amount of caffeine

that's in your cup will differ a lot depending on the type of caffeinated

drink that you prefer and also other factors like the origin and the

processing and the preparation and even the brewing time so for example a cup of

brewed coffee could have anywhere between 95 to 165 milligrams of caffeine

in it whereas a cup of tea could have around 25 milligrams of caffeine so if

you want a handy chart with a list of common caffeine doses in different

popular caffeinated beverages be sure to read my full article at Ramadan reset

comm slash coffee to get the full scoop so feel free to enjoy your coffee in the

room with on a tip would be to either drink your coffee at suhoor or right

after iftar you want to avoid having coffee too close to your bedtime because

Can You Give Blood After Death? - Dear Blocko #1 - Duration: 3:31.

Hey there, Welcome to Life Noggin!

I get a lot of questions on so many topics, even some questions that are just about me,

so i've gathered some of those questions, and i'm calling it "DEAR BLOCKO"

Today's Dear Blocko is about the human body! ...and my body for some reason.

Zach asks - Can you donate blood after death?

Blood can technically be used after death, though most places don't let you donate it.

According to the book Stiff: The Curious Life of Human Cadavers, the blood inside a dead

body stays usable for about six to eight hours after death.

The first cadaveric blood transfusion actually happened in Russia back in 1930, but it never

really caught on.

Next question, Kardo asked me Why do we have / get body hair?

You humans are thought to have body hair as a sort of evolutionary leftover from your

hairier ancestors.

You actually have about the same density of hair follicles as your ape friends, your hairs

are just much smaller and finer.

It might not seem like your body hair does much, but recent research suggests it might

help you detect bedbugs and bloodsucking insects.

This next question comes from Serena Is nail-biting actually bad for you?

Biting your nails might be seen as a bad habit, but it could actually be good for your body!

According to a recent study, biting your nails may have a small protective effect against

common allergies.

Since nail-biting can have long-lasting downsides, like permanently damaging the nail tissue,

I wouldn't start it up if you don't already do it, but it might not be all that bad!

Aurora asked: Why do people get acne?

Acne is super common for teenagers and young adults, but can occur at any age.

People tend to get acne when they're young because of the hormonal changes that go along

with puberty.

Beyond your hormones, you get pimples when your follicles get blocked and oil builds

up under your skin.

Other factors might also play a role, like certain medications, menstruation, and emotional

stress.

Now we can answer some questions that you guys have had about me

Justin - Why do you move your head when you talk?

Idk...that just happens when i speak?

Oh no...now i'm conscious of it!

My animator didn't give me a face or even a mouth so that movement was the next best thing!

Austin - Does Blocko have organs?

I don't have any organs but I do have these.

I guess it's true, It's what's on the inside that counts!

BOOOO!!

Hey! Who said that!?

If i had a face you could totally tell that i was angry right now!

Last question from Carly - Where does Blocko go when the computer turns off?

Oh, simple. I go to the void.

It's quite comfortable.

Sometimes people scream into it though which is frustrating.

So let me know in the comment section below if you have any questions that you want me to answer.

They can be about your world, or my world!

If you wanna send me anything you've made from the real world

or have a question for Dear Blocko, I now have a mailbox just for that!

All the stuff will transfer over to my world. Don't worry!

I'll feature some of the stuff you send me at the end of a future episode of Dear Blocko!

I can't wait! Thank you so much for all the support!

If you enjoyed this video, check out the video we did where i enter your human world.

Can LG save its smartphone business? (Analysis) - Duration: 10:16.

This video was sponsored by Audible.

Get your first audiobook for free by going to audible.com/techaltar

LG has lost a lot of its influence over the smartphone industry through years of declining

sales and profits, even as the rest of the industry achieved record growth.

To fix these issues, the mobile division now has a new president

And I went to Seoul, South Korea, to talk to a bunch of people from to see

how they plan to turn these negative trends around.

I'm Marton from TechAltar, you are watching the 34th episode of The Story Behind series,

and here's what I've found.

OK, before we start with the strategy, I really have to put LG's phones into context a little,

because I think we smartphone enthusiasts fundamentally get its scale wrong.

LG smartphones make up about 80 to 90% of LG's mobile communications business unit.

The rest is mostly audio products, wearables, and accessories.

This is one of five business units in a company called LG Electronics and last quarter it

was responsible for about 18% of its revenue.

Most of LG Electronics' revenue comes from home electronics like fridges, washing machines

and TVs, but they also sell things like Vehicle components.

And then LG Electronics is only one of many companies under the LG Corporation umbrella,

although it is the largest one, with about 40-50% of the revenues.

So overall, smartphones only make up somewhere between 5 to 9% of the total revenue of the

giant conglomerate known as LG Corporation.

Geographically, LG's two most important markets by far are North America and South Korea.

North America moves the most units, accounting for well over a third of LG's total shipments,

but here LG mainly sells lower end units with low prices and low margins.

In Korea it's the opposite: LG sells fewer phones, but most of them are flagships, and

therefore LG is more profitable here, accounting for over a third of LG's mobile revenue.

Talking of revenue, it has decreased for the company's mobile division by more than 20%

over the last five years, even though the market itself grew quite quickly.

Things aren't looking great.

Profitability seems even worse, where LG has been losing money for over 3 straight years

now as well.

2016 was their worst year, when the LG G5 performed spectacularly badly, and even before

that, LG's quality control problems, together with the increased competition from China

really put LG into a tough spot.

OK, so that's a super quick overview, and I think it's pretty clear that things have

to change for LG if it wants to turn things around.

Which the new president apparently wants to do.

So I talked to a bunch of people at LG, here are all the plans they would share with me.

Starting with products, there are two clear directions.

One is a returned focus on the basics, which they defined as ABCD.

Audio, Battery, Cameras and Displays.

LG will apparently stop focusing on being the first to bring random, risky technologies

to market, like modular designs or curved screens, which LG has done quite often in

the past, and will instead simply make sure that LG phones perform well in these core

areas.

Other companies like Samsung and OPPO had a similar change in mentality a few years

ago, and while we enthusiasts might prefer more experimental companies, it sort of makes

sense because smartphones are becoming a commodity and nowadays there is so little room for meaningful

differentiation now anyway.

The G7, which you can see my thoughts on right here, is a pretty good example of this new

strategy.

It's just an evolution of the G6, not something radically new.

Also a part of this push for fixing the basics is an increased focus on software updates,

which LG says they opened a dedicated new software development center for.

They claim to push for more consistent and faster updates in the future, which was definitely

one of LG's weaknesses so far, although we haven't seen any proof of that just yet.

ThinQ branded artificial intelligence enhancements are supposed to give LG devices a differentiation

going forward, but for now I've found LG's actual AI capabilities fairly unimpressive.

Mostly just AI based scene detection and image enhancements in cameras, and sadly nothing

LG told me about their future plans really seemed like a breakthrough, but I guess only

time will tell how far they can push with AI.

In terms of marketing, LG told me that the promotional budget of LG Electronics as a whole

was mostly focused on on promoting OLED and 4K LG TVs, but since they

have gained enough market share in those categories, they will start prioritizing mobile phones

this year.

LG signed up BTS, Korea's most popular boyband to promote phones starting with the G7.

LG claims that this is their most expensive advertisement deal to date, and while it won't

do much for them in, say, Europe, it could give them a nice boost in Asia and to some

extent in the US, which, as you might remember, is where LG actually makes money.

Over the last few years, LG's marketing was fairly weak and got drowned out by more aggressive

brands like Samsung, Apple and Huawei though, so we will have to wait and see how hard they

really push this year.

LG's most counterintuitive and interesting strategy though might just be to wait.

Given that since 2017, the global smartphone market has stopped growing for the first time

ever, and given that most smartphone makers still aren't profitable, smaller and weaker

companies are soon expected to either go bankrupt or get bought by larger, more wealthy ones.

Consolidation is kind of inevitable.

Just think of HTC, which is being sliced up by Google, Nextbit, which was bought by Razer,

or smaller Chinese companies like Gionee and Meizu, which are slowly losing market share.

And given that LG is a large, diversified conglomerate, it can simply afford to wait

until the competition bleeds out.

While outlasting competitors, isn't the sexiest strategy, it might actually work for LG.

OK, so those are all of their plans.

How do I feel about them?

Well, a little mixed.

First, I think a focus on the ABCD basics plus better software support is going into

the right direction.

I don't see spectacular battery life improvements or or fantastic software support from the LG G7 yet, but let's

give this new mobile president a little bit of time.

I also find it a little hard to imagine what LG could meaningfully do better in AI

than Google, who owns the OS, or Samsung, who at least has more users and money couldn't do

but I guess more AI and better AI on LG phones won't hurt either.

So, the product strategy, while not groundbreaking, is generally going into the right direction.

But the rest, I'm not so sure about.

See, a good place for a brand to be is either on the premium end, like Samsung and Apple,

or on the value end, like OnePlus and Xiaomi.

Both are perfectly valid business models.

Obviously to sustain a premium brand you need a sales, marketing and customer support structure

that convinces people that your products are worth the premium.

On the budget end, you can save on, most, of those and you can offer your devices for

less.

LG though, falls into this uncomfortable zone between the two.

They kind of want to appear premium, so they spend some money on these extras, but don't

commit to them fully, so consumers don't want to pay the premium prices.

Just look at their prices over time.

Here's the G6 on Amazon.

It's priced like a premium product at launch, rivaling the latest Galaxy phones, but then

gets discounted dramatically pretty much straight away, and in a few months it becomes a value

phone.

And it's a very similar story for other LG flagships.

I bought my G6, just 3 months after it was announced, for something like 380 Euros.

That's pretty much half price and this is a problem, because LG has to spend money like a premium brand,

but eventually sells phones with margins like a value brand.

This is obviously not a good business model, and LG really has to decide, at least in my opinion,

what they want to be.

If they want a premium brand, they should make a premium product and push it

just as hard as Samsung does.

If they are OK being a value brand, they should skip all the BS and start pricing

their phones like value phones right from the start.

To this end, LG telling us that they are finally taking mobile marketing a little more seriously could be

a good sign that they are actually becoming a premium brand,

but given their track record, I am a little doubtful.

The saving grace for LG for at least the next few years might come from the US government

being aggressive against ZTE and Huawei.

The US is LG's largest market by sales, and especially ZTE was already catching up with

them in fourth place, but with the recent tensions, LG might get a temporary pass.

So, really good timing for them!

But anyway, I am somewhat torn on LG's future overall.

They are still losing money, but the worst sales and profit declines seem to be over,

their device strategy is finally starting to mature, but they are focusing on a confusing

AI strategy, they finally say they will take marketing seriously, but none of their past

efforts suggest that they will succeed, and while LG certainly can afford to lose money

on smartphones until smaller competitors bleed out, or get banned, I don't see the fire,

the aggressiveness that other brands like Samsung or more recently, Chinese competitors

seem to have.

See, I can't really predict if LG will be able to turn its mobile business around, but I can

recommend a really, really, really good audiobook.

The Malazan Book of the fallen is my absolute favourite audiobook ever, and if you like

epic stories like the Lord of the Rings or the Game of Thrones series,

The Buddhist View On Karma & How You Can Cleanse Yours - Duration: 3:03.

The Buddhist View On Karma & How You Can Cleanse Yours

By consciousreminder

Do you believe in karma?

Do you think you can escape the result of your deeds (action)?

Well, Buddhists and Hindus believe that Karma is a natural law, so it does not matter if

you believe in it or not, karma will strike.

Karma happens naturally to everyone.

According to Buddhists, these are the four characteristics of Karma.

Karma is Definite: Karma will happen no matter what.

Just like gravity, itll exert its force on everything and in all circumstances (you

can escape gravity, but not karma!!)

 Karma depends on your intentions.

 Karma is infallible.

Only your actions matter.

 Karma stays.

You can purify your karma through good deeds, but your bad karma still stays.

Believing in karma can change your life for better.

Youll be more conscious about your actions and its results.

You will be worried about the repercussions of the actions not just on yourself but also

on others.

According to Buddha, one can cleanse their bad karma and create better results.

Here are a few steps that you can take to cleanse your karma.

1.

Be Remorseful.

Regretting your negative choices can be really helpful to cleanse your karma as remorse cannot

be faked.

Karma recognizes honesty.

2.

Be Aware.

Always be aware of your deeds.

Buddhists believe in checking all 3 types of actions.

 Physical Verbal Mental.

A bad thought is also a bad karma.

3.

Be clear in your intentions.

Buddhists believe that intentions are more important than actions.

Sometimes things may get out of hand and thus result in some bad accident but if your intention

was good, then youll not face the complete brunt of karma.

4.

Be Grateful.

Gratitude keeps you humble and thus creates a positive aura around you.

Being ungrateful results in unwholesome actions.

Prepare a list of what you are grateful for.

5.

Be kind.

Be the best you can, for others.

Being kind brings happiness not just in your life but in the lives of others as well.

Itll be difficult at first to embark on this journey, but believe me youll live

a much happier life if you take the risk!

What do you study here?

- What I do is... / - Yes.

Korea is famous for

- IT and semiconductor. / - Yes.

I'm checking the parts that go into the device

- to see if they work. / - Testing.

- Yes, testing. / - So you test semiconductor parts.

That's a microscope.

- Is that a microscope? / - Yes.

It's a very expensive equipment.

It costs more than five million dollars.

- Really? / - Yes.

You're in charge of this costly equipment?

- Yes, I'm in charge of it. / - Jay-Z, baby.

(Respect)

But you are more precious than this equipment.

- How was it? / - You talk so well.

You are voluble.

Talking is my way of surviving.

(He's like a comedian.)

Sam Okyere, you better work harder.

You have a rival now.

- Turn off the lights. / - Okay.

- Press it. / - Okay.

This is the microscope of microscopes.

The microscope of microscopes.

(Delicate hand movements)

(Sharp glances)

(He's calmly operating the microscope.)

We can see the surface.

What is that symbol?

It's micrometer.

It's 0.2 micrometers.

If we magnify it higher,

we can see the atoms.

- We can see the atoms? / - Yes.

(We can even see the atoms.)

It's 2 nanometers.

Is this nano?

They are regularly arranged here.

If I spot a single atom missing...

- That means there's a flaw in the equipment? / - Yes.

It becomes a huge problem.

There's a Korean saying for this.

Seeing is believing.

It doesn't matter how many times I tell them.

They'll only believe it when they see it.

It's my role.

I have to prove them that there's no problem

in terms of atomic view.

He can speak Korean better than Jongmin.

- No. / - You'll meet him later.

There's this guy.

Do you live here?

Yes, I live here in the flat with my family.

With your parents?

My parents are in Kenya.

I'm here with my Korean family.

- Your Korean family? / - Yes, my wife.

- Your wife? / - Yes.

- Are you married? / - Yes, I am.

- You're a married man? / - Yes.

You're a married man.

(He's so charming.)

You are married.

How about you?

(It's a forbidden question.)

(Defconn's very naive.)

I am not married.

You should try harder.

You'll be in a big trouble.

You talk just like my mother.

- You're like my mom. / - I'm worried about you.

I can't believe that I'm talking to you.

Me, too.

I can't believe you're still not married.

(He can't believe Defconn is still single.)

- Oh, gosh. / - Right?

It's hard to get married in Korea.

(It's all the society's fault.)

You two have to clear this mission

to have lunch together.

(Romantic lunch in the campus)

If you can't clear it, you two will have to starve.

There's a chance we don't get to eat in this show.

If we lose the game.

What do we do if we don't get to eat?

In any situation, eating comes first.

- He's addicted to proverbs. / - No, I'm not.

Here's the mission.

Please read it for us.

"Listen to the first part of the proverbs"

"and complete it."

Each person gets a turn.

Isn't it disadvantageous for him?

He just said all the proverbs he knows.

Yes, I said all of them.

- You're out of it, right? / - Yes.

He used up all the proverbs he knows.

But let's try and see.

Listen carefully.

"Nice words..."

"For nice words."

He's smart.

My turn.

- "Tread on a worm..." / - "And it will turn."

Correct.

- "Old habit..." / - "Dies hard."

(He got it correct three times in a row.)

(They'll have lunch at this rate.)

- Oh, you're good. / - Let's eat together.

(It's important for Defconn to have meals.)

- Do you trust me? / - Yes.

(I trust you.)

"It's never around..."

One, two, three.

"When you need it."

(Goosebumps)

(It's embarrassing for Defconn.)

Are you serious?

(He's the king of proverbs.)

How is this possible?

I knew this proverb.

I'm sorry, but you didn't get a point.

(The staff is trying to get hard questions.)

Be ready.

(It's the fifth question.)

"Every child is..."

(It's a crisis for the king of proverbs.)

Try them all.

"Every child is..."

(Defconn's acting hard.)

Are they all dear?

"Dear to his parents."

- He got it right. / - But you gave hints.

The answer is "Every child is dear to his parents".

It's the sixth question.

"Rain on..."

One, two, three.

"Someone's parade."

- Correct. / - Yes.

Let's go with the next question.

The mission's cleared if you get this one right.

(Let's go, Odongo.)

"Bad news..."

(The answer is "travels fast".)

(Will Odongo know about this?)

"Travels fast."

- "Bad news travels fast." / - That's right.

- Correct. / - It's correct.

(They'll have lunch together.)

You're good.

Director, let's try a few more.

(Defconn's impromptu request)

He knows everything.

- "Costs are..." / - "Greater than benefits."

(Costs are greater than benefits.)

(He's like a proverb machine.)

"It's just a coincidence that the two events..."

- "Happened at the same time." / - It's correct.

(He really is the king of proverbs.)

Odongo.

You got in this school for proverbs, right?

No, I didn't.

He knows so many proverbs.

"Don't bother trying the impossible."

"You are out of your league."

- We won anyway. / - I know the answer.

Do you know what it means?

"Don't try the things I can't do."

That's right. It means don't be greedy.

Still... "Little strokes fell great oaks."

- That's right. / - Don't give up.

Why don't you give them the questions?

- Hold on. / - Come here.

Try them.

Maybe not proverbs.

- How about four-character idiom? / - Okay. Let's.

"Gak Ja."

(It's a four-character idiom by Odongo.)

"Gak Ja Do Saeng"?

- "Gak Ja Do Saeng"? / - No.

- What is it? / - It's incorrect.

- "Gak Ja Mu Chi". / - "Gak Ja Mu Chi".

"Gak Ja Mu Chi".

"Gak Ja" means you have a horn.

- "Mu Chi" means no teeth. / - What does it mean?

It means no human can have everything.

Some animals have horns, but they don't have teeth.

It means nobody is perfect.

Isn't that a proverb from Kenya?

No, it's a Korean proverb.

Really? "Gak Ja Mu Chi".

It's my first time hearing it.

I think he's a foreigner.

It's my first time hearing it.

- Let's try again. / - You're smart.

- Odongo is feeding me. / - Yes.

- I'm treating you. / - That's right.

Can You Pronounce The Most Common Vietnamese Last Name? - Duration: 2:21.

- What up internet?

My name is Nancy and today I'm gonna be walking

around the BuzzFeed office trying to see if my coworkers

know how to say my last name.

How long have we been friends?

- Almost a year?

- A little over a year.

- For a good half a year.

- Would you say that we're good friends?

- Yeah.

- Yeah, we're good friends, we hang.

- I've been to your house.

- Do you know how to pronounce my last name?

(record scratch)

- Oh, no no no no no, I can't do it.

- Noy-wen.

- Ehhh...

No.

- I don't want to try 'cause I feel like

I'm gonna mess it up.

- It's Noo-yin?

I had a friend in high school named Julian Noo-yin.

- It's not.

- Waynge?

- No.

- It's Noo-wen?

- It's still wrong.

- I feel like I just blew your mind.

- I've been saying Noy-wen since middle school.

- N'wen.

- Alright I'll take that.

- Wen?

Hmmm?

- It's actually Wheng.

- Wang. Wang?

Wheng.

- Oh, I don't want to try again.

- Wheng.

- Wang.

Everybody always says Wang.

It's Wheng.

- What? Can you come closer and say that again?

- Wheng.

- Wayne?

- You're just saying Wayne now.

- I wanna crawl into your mouth and figure out

where you're holding the word.

- Wheng.

- Whang?

- That's actually good.

- So the thing about the Vietnamese language,

is that it's a monosyllabic language,

so every single word is only one syllable.

So Nguyen is one word, so Noy-wen is not correct.

A lot of the sounds that goes into my last name,

doesn't really exist in the English language.

- Nancy told me how to pronounce her last name last year,

and my dentist has the same last name,

so I was able to call her doctor Wheng,

and I could tell it meant a lot to her

that I said her last name correctly.

Thank you, Nancy.

- I've heard my last name butchered in so many different

ways that nothing really phases me anymore.

We're all learning today.

Not really me, but definitely a lot of other people are.

("Blue Danube")

- I'm really sorry, Nancy.

(laughing)

- It's okay, we're still good friends.

You want a hug?

- [friend] Yes.

Can Atheists Ground the Claim That Abortion Is Wrong? - Duration: 4:20.

If atheists can't ground morality, can they be consistently pro-life? Well, if

the question is whether atheists can oppose abortion, then of course the

answer is yes. They can, in fact, fight against abortion laws, for example. But if

the question is whether an atheist can ground the claim that abortion is

objectively wrong, well, then the answer is gonna be no, and the reason is simple.

If you don't believe in God, then there's no law giver in the universe to provide

an objective standard of morality that exists out there that we can judge our

own actions by. And so if an atheist said abortion was wrong, they could only say

it was wrong for them. The wrongness of abortion would only be

wrong because they thought it was wrong not because it was actually wrong. Now

this is called moral relativism, and it's the idea that

morals — what's right and wrong — are relative to each individual. Now, it turns

out, though, that the problem is actually a lot worse than I've stated

because if there's no God, not only would abortion not be objectively wrong, but

nothing would be objectively wrong — not theft, not lying, not even murder or rape.

Every action is ultimately moral because, from the atheist's perspective, there's no

divine law giver to set the standard. Now notice, I'm not saying that an atheist

can't be moral or can't think that those actions are wrong. In fact, many atheists

do think they're wrong. What I'm claiming here is that an atheist couldn't explain

why those actions are wrong in an objective sense. They could say, according

to their own inner standard, they believe abortion and rape are wrong, but

if they move, for example, to a country where there are people there who

considered rape and abortion to be perfectly moral, then to what standard

would the atheist then appeal to explain why those behaviors are wrong for those

people in that country. All the atheist could say is this, "Well I think these

things are wrong," and the people in the country would

reply, "Well, we disagree. Those actions are right in our eyes," and so since they're

the majority, then of course their ways win.

In other words, might would then make right. In fact, I remember one time I was

on a university campus, and I was involved in a protest against abortion,

and I got into a conversation with this guy who was an atheist, and he told me, of

course, that he thought abortion was morally permissible. He didn't think

abortion was wrong because he said, "Well, after all, there's no God. And so if

there's no God, there's no one to say that it's wrong." And I said, "I agree with

you. You're right. If there's no God, then you're right. Abortion is not wrong." But I

said, "Nothing then is wrong. Every behavior would then be permissible."

And his response was, "You're right, I totally agree." So I was thinking, this is

great. He's totally agreeing with me. I'm gonna

go further with this point. Then I said, "You know what, not only is nothing right

or wrong if there's no God, but there's nothing of value in the universe either.

We're all stardust, and we have no value and meaning." And then one of the most

unsettling experiences happened to me at that point. He turned to me and he said, "You

know what, you're right. I'm not worth anything. I don't believe I'm valuable at

all, and that's why I've often considered killing myself. And I was like, oh man!

I'm like, "Okay, I take back everything I said!" Now I didn't, of course. I actually

took some time to talk to him. I took down his phone number, actually I've been

in contact with him for several years now just to make sure he's okay and to

try to, you know, share with him, of course, the truth. But again, notice in this case

this atheist was being consistent. He couldn't deny God exists and believe

abortion was objectively wrong. But as we agreed, if there's no God, then nothing is

right or wrong. All you have is individual preferences about what you

like and don't like. And so while I'm happy to partner with atheists who want

to help fight abortion, I don't think they're being consistent with their worldview.

If you are looking for guidance for MBBS admission counselling, subscribe to this youtube channel

now and click the bell button to receive latest updates.

NEET score to get govt medical college depends mainly on the state, community reservation

category you are going to apply during the mbbs admission and any other category reservations

applicable to the state in which you are applying.

You need to undertstand that with NEET score of less than 400, it is difficult to get government

quota MBBS seat even in you apply under SC category.

Do you know last year cutoff for getting govt college medical seat in All India Quota was

490 for SC candidates.

For many states, where there are less than 700 MBBS seats in government colleges, it

is difficult for SC category to get seat under state quota in government medical college.

In general, the cutoff for state quota for every reservation category would be same or

little less than the All India Quota cutoff because of high competition within these states.

Most of the north eastern states except Assam have less than 200 MBBS governmentt seats.

Assam which has 720 seats.

There are no private medical colleges in north eastern states, so there is no possiblity

of getting govt quota seat in private colleges at Rs 4 lakhs/annum tuition fees.

The list of states which have less than 700 MBBS seats are given here in this list.

In these states, 400 marks is not sufficient for SC category students to get govt seats.

When it comes to A -category seats which are state government quota seats in private colleges,

all these states have no or 1 or 2 private medical colleges having less than 500 MBBS

seats making it difficult to get govt quota seats in private colleges too.

The only state which is exception is the Puducherry which has close to 1000 private college MBBS

seats.

If you belong to any other state mentioned in this video, subscribe to this youtube channel

now so that you will get notification when I publish videos covering the remaining states.

If your neet score falls in the range of 300-400, and you belong to any of these states your

chances to get government college and state govt quota in private medical colleges is

less.

You have three options to choose from.

The first option is to drop out this year and set big target score so that you will

get in reputed medical colleges.

The second option is to study MBBS under management quota in private colleges.

Fees for private college management quota are generally in the range of 18 to 30 lakhs/year.

The third option is to study Medicine abroad in reputed universities.

Fees for good abroad medical universities range between 4 lakhs/year to 8 lakhs/year.
