Youtube daily so Jan 28 2018

Hockey is full of dynamic duos -- you had Gretzky and Kurri, the Sedins, Phil Kessel

-- hot dogs;

but I think the most famous duo of all time in hockey:

Don Cherry and Ron Maclean.

Gentlemen, thanks for joining me.

- You notice you don't say Bobby Orr and anybody.

He was with, you could've put anybody with him and--

- Except to say, Larry Robinson said he was the most difficult guy he every played with.

Because he said, "I had no idea what he was doing, he was like a genius out there but

I couldn't read off him if I tried."

There's nobody like Bobby Orr - how'd we get on that?

- So what was the question, yeah?

- what was the question?

- I think we were talking about partnerships there and the--

- Oh right.

- You're right, Bobby Orr's hard to play with and so is Don.

*laughing* - Yeah, yeah,

I like consider myself Bobby Orr, like you know of the TV.

- Bobby Orr of broadcasting?

- Yeah! Yeah.

- Yeah, I love it.

- So how many years working together now has it been for you guys?

- I don't know.

- Thirty-three.

Thirty-three?

- You knew?

He didn't know.

- Thirty-three?

- This is our thirty-third season.

- I used to think, Trent, Don - you know what's he got?

Five years?

The way he has his neck in a noose every Saturday night?

And here we are thirty-three bloody years later.

- Still goin'.

- Did you guys know straight out the gate that it was a partnership that was gonna work?

- Well I knew I'd work.

I didn't know if he'd work.

- What a twerp you were at the start.

Now you gotta admit, - Well, of course.

- What is it about the partnership that you think works?

- Well, I am -- it's me.

Let's face it. C'mon let's face it.

I could be with any dimwit and-- - Trent, you could ask a hundred questions,

the answer is: " it's because I'm the star!

Because I'm great, because I--" Don will have the same answer--

- Look at the jacket!

C'mon!

This is Newfoundland tartan!

- It's pretty sweet.

It's pretty sweet...

- I would say Trent that's the truth of the matter, is Don gave great interviews with or without me.

- So I'm curious to see, like, how well do you know each other?

- Does Don have any superstitions?

- He builds his world around no eating;

for Coach's Corner, the day of the game he doesn't eat --

he goes on hungry.

He's loaded up with caffeine and then he--- - Ready to go.

- That explains a lot actually.

Yeah.

- That's right.

- So what superstitions does Ron have, Don?

- I can't think of any eh?

Just a pure wonderful boy.

Yeah.

- Don, I got a confession, we talked to a couple of the NHL alumni last night,

and I said, " boy...

talking to Cherry tomorrow," I said, "he seems like a tough cookie, seems like a

tough customer."

And I got lots of advice on how to navigate it,

but I gotta admit man, you weren't the pitbull I thought you were gonna be.

You're charming and lovely and...

- Well,

you didn't cross me.

- Yeah.

- That's why we put you over there.

*Laughing*

Well gentlemen, thanks very much, really appreciate it.

- Well thank you Trent! - Thank you so much sir!

- Don only wishes he had twenty-two minutes.

- Yeah, you aren't kidding that's one thing about this thing,

I love it, since you see I ramble ---

60 Second Training Tip: How to share so owners/clients hear you - Duration: 0:59.

Hey, gang! Sean with The Good Dog with a 60-second training tip! And this one is

called: it's all about the intent. This goes out to dog trainers and anybody in

the dog world, trying to share information or help empower people to

make changes with their dogs, positive changes. So, a lot of folks

ask, "How do you get the information across? How do you get it to where it'll

land, where people will receive it?" It's all about your intent, and it's all about

the way you deliver it. Your intent needs to be from a place of caring. From a

place of empathy. From a place of support. From a place of wanting the best for

somebody and then it comes across in your delivery, in a way that doesn't

create defensiveness. That doesn't shut the person down. That doesn't create

wow, I'm being judged and so I'm not even going to be able to hear what

you're actually sharing. Even though it's good information. So, I'd love for all of

you guys to focus more on your intent and the caring behind the message so the

message will land and actually help someone.

be negative positive neutral funny whatever you say that catches my

attention that's who's going to get that gift card and um I want to say this on

all my videos please subscribe to the channel one B cousin doing a giveaway

that's always nice incentive and two I would like you to support my channel um

I'm not doing this for short I'm doing this until I lose the 64 pounds that

thing's left of my weight loss journey and yeah and um and I want you guys to

be there every step of the way and I also want to be able to motivate you

guys to get up and do something if you guys need to move weight get healthy um

kill or something or uh just just overall I'm gonna feel better you know

about yourself you know and it starts with being healthy so they call this a

reboot this is what I'm doing I don't care if it takes 30 days I don't give it

take 60 days I don't give it takes 90 days or 100 days

shouldn't take no more than 100 days to lose the weight that I need to lose but

I don't care I'm trying to get healthy and I'm fine so move away and be what I

am and I want to be that person again that I was a year and a half ago before

the weight gain I have not been awake for a while

I have not struggled with weight um not even half my life but it does affect

anybody who gains weight and they don't fill themselves and what you need to do

when you get these predicaments is do what I'm doing and have the willpower

and take action um I want to bring up some things that I um have been doing

tomorrow is Sunday it's going to be a weigh-in so make sure you stay tuned for

that video um I had a setback because I'm gonna eat something when it comes to

juicing stick to what you know do not change anything up you just juice I was

looking up videos online people say when you start switching over from a

vegetarian um regiment and you start eating protein that you need to have a

b-complex arm in your full regiment because you can deplete the uh v b

vitamins that are in your system which regulate the nervous system i already

suffer from anxiety so I know that the nervous system my nervous system is

already shocked to hell so I did not need for my B vitamin supplement that's

already in my body to be depleted on this juice fast so I had bought on some

new nutritional yeast which set me back 48 hours constipation so I should have

just stuck with the UM the juicing not added the y'all nutritional yeast to my

juices um and if I felt like I needed a B vitamin supplement going on um you

know the juice fast in the beginning I would have just purchased a supplement

online I went to my local vitamin shop around my area I shouldn t even you know

uh if it's not broke fictive so it set me back 48 hours um so

because of that I'd have lost weight definitely I've lost weight in seven

days but you have to understand when you get backed up in the colon area this is

food that the body's rejecting they don't need it anymore

whatever the nutrients that it needed to get from by um food that I put in my

mouth for drink because I haven't had anything solid it goes out through the

colon now so if you're going past 24 hours without removing that and you get

backed up the scale is not going to sub accurate number so uh the body is also

going to redirect its energy the try and help eliminate that fecal matter that's

in your system and it's not going to be so pressed on trying to help you lose

fat because it needs to work on that problem area so that's why if

something's not rope don't fix it I don't recommend anyone add in

nutritional yeast while they're juicing to their juices if you are doing it it

is working for you great but if not not also I had some vegetables that were

going to go bad so I had pickled some vegetables here's one of them right here

um what's in there is some red peppers some yellow peppers some red onions some

horseradish arm some fresh garlic some sun-dried tomatoes which were in the oil

so I drizzled in both mason jars at 32 ounces I put oil from the sun-dried

tomatoes in both of the mason jars um and I put vinegar and this is 24 hours

it's making its own juice from that little bit of vinegar that I put inside

of the bottle it's making it because the the vegetables

breaking down and it's pickling and it's making juice from the water from you

know the vegetables as well with vinegar now this can be used on salads or the be

eaten on the side with your food I cannot eat this until I lose the 64

pounds but this will be ready in the frigerator when I am able to start

eating solid foods um I also use pulp and also I prep some fresh vegetables

and I made for I'm o'clock this morning some uh vegetable soup broth because I

like savory drinks more than sweet juices so I want to have like a hot

savory juice or super whatever it's the broth not the vegetable um the drink for

my dinner so I made a whole thing of vegetable broth soup as well which is

now as we speak cooking in the crock pot um you know besides me making this

yesterday so but I might eat this oh my god this is gonna be so good and I also

got these in the mail today um these farm belly's best he's a nut bags

for people who are not going to invest in juices that have blenders what you

can do is you can incorporate your fruits and your vegetables in a blender

and then you can use these nut bags to strain the poll so that you can be doing

the juice cleanse the proper way because smoothies and juice cleanse are two

different ball games and I'm not gonna get into it you can look at another

video of mine I'll wear it I explain it like an explain it again in the video

but today is day 16 yes I'm still on my juice path don't feel hungry

I feel very energetic i smite my head is clear the whites of my eyes are even

whiter my skin is getting better my sleep is one

and I'm losing weight I'm so happy and I'm not going to give up this journey

until I get to my final goal with just 64 pounds that I have left to lose and

I'm going to lose it I'm so tomorrow someday is way in the last way and I did

I didn't wasn't a seven-day weigh-in it was almost I think it was a 10-day

weigh-in no was a 10-day weigh-in and I did it on a Sunday so that's why I

picked Sunday's to do my way in so tomorrow be Sunday seven days and I will

do away and I'll tell you how much a lot remind you I had a setback with the 48

hours of constipation so it did mess up my numbers but I still lost weight and

I'm happy and next week it's going to be even better

so with that all being said again if you want to get a gift card even if you

don't want to get to do card subscribe to the channel support my

journey I'm doing an upload every single day as you can already see seven days a

week on my progress how I'm feeling what's going on and I want you to be a

part of that so bye

The End of the F***king World is, Weirdly British (or, why it's so fun to watch) - Duration: 5:17.

"The End of the F***ing World" is one of those shows that strikes a perfect balance

between being all too familiar, and yet strangely new.

Based on the comic of the same name, it follows James, a teenage psychopath looking for a chance

to kill a person, and Alyssa, a girl with a fierce temper looking to escape from

her mundane life, as they run away from their small hometown and go on an

adventure to find a new place to start their lives . . .

or at least, that's what Alyssa's doing . . .

It's a fun show with a lot of interesting characters that

blends all the tropes of a typical American roadtrip movie with the

self-deprecating nature of a British comedy, which, while on paper looks like

an incompatible mix, on screen, just works. And today I want to talk about why

this makes "The End of the F***ing World" so much fun to watch . . .

and yes, potential spoilers ahead . . .

The first thing that stands out about the show is its sense of humour.

Like a lot of British comedies, it loves to make fun of itself, from

poking fun at the many tropes and clichés of British and American film and TV,

to pointing out just how utterly deranged or mildly pathetic many of the

situations the show puts its characters through are. And it does so in the most

brilliantly blunt of ways and with the most deadpan of deliveries, which is

something I quite enjoyed. But the show isn't afraid to get ridiculous as it

also more than happily delves into the occasional bit of dumb humour, which

contrasts so heavily with the show's typical jokes that it makes these ones

hit even harder. The show likes to use both dry and dumb wit to make you laugh,

either out of appreciation for the cleverly crafted punchlines, or simply

because you can relate to the awkwardness and hilarity of many of its situations.

F***in' hell!

Likewise the characters and their interactions with each other are not

only smartly written, but also feel genuine. The series is filled with a

variety of quirky characters all with their own weird way of interacting with

the world around them and the people in it, and the various struggles they all

have to go through. Whether it be the happy-go-lucky dad who constantly makes

jokes to trick himself into being happy, the friendly detective who has an

awkward relationship with her partner in crime, or the posh mother with the

perfect life who, doesn't know how to feel about her daughter. Its characters

are exaggerated, but relatable and their relationships with each other help to

amplify the best and worst aspects of their respective personalities.

This is especially apparent with James and Alyssa. They bounce off each other

surprisingly well, with James's blank expression and quiet temperament

emphasizing Alyssa's standoffish nature and blunt deliveries, while Alyssa's

impulsivity and brashness amplify the cold, calculated, and socially inept

aspects of James's character. They, along with everyone else, interact with and

reflect each other naturally, without ever feeling forced, as if these

characters were real people you get to know. Of course, the quirkiness of its

humour and characters are only amplified by the show's stylized presentation.

From the West Anderson like direction that makes every scene and shot look

impossibly symmetrical and strangely picturesque, to the music, which

emphasizes the coming-of-age nature of the story. There are so many little

things that are used to give its presentation a unique flair. Even things

as subtle as the use of a 4:3 aspect ratio for flashbacks and the

specific font and color uses for its text add to its distinct vibe. The show's

style not only makes it stand out from a crowd, but also helps to emphasize its

many quirks. But, like anything else, it has its problems. Specifically in regards

to how it deals with James' psychopathy. Now, there's very little I can talk

about in detail here without spoiling the series, but, to speak in broad terms,

about halfway through the show James's psychopathic tendencies just,

kind of disappear.

And while I'm sure it does serve a role thematically, on a basic story level,

it just makes it feel like a gimmick more than anything else.

And even worse, one that, looking back on the show as a whole, feels kind of pointless.

The show could have easily painted James as simply being a quiet antisocial kid and

everything'd play out more or less the same. And, arguably, it could have made us

more sympathetic towards James and what he goes through, having us see him from the

start as just a kid with problems, rather than seeing him as an emotionless psychopath.

It almost feels like the show wanted to have its cake and eat it too,

by making its main character psychopath to get people's attention, but not having

the courage to fully commit to that idea. And of course, there are many other

structural problems with the show, especially in regards to the way many

plot points in the series seem to happen, just because, and the way many lines,

quite literally, come out of nowhere.

I don't wanna have sex with you.

Wait, what?!

However, for as many problems as I have with it, it's still

incredibly fun to watch. With its quirky humor and unique style, "The End of the F***ing World"

manages to blend together an old formula we've seen done to death, with

various different elements in a way that makes it feel new, and not only keeps you

laughing, but also gets your heart racing as you fear what will happen to its cast

of relatably strange characters. And, though the world doesn't actually end,

It leaves you with a distinct impression of what it's like when the world, as these characters know it,

does.

And yeah, those are my thoughts. If you enjoyed this and

want to see more, check out my last video, where I compare and contrast the

different ways "Doki Doki Literature Club" and "OneShot" break the fourth wall.

Or, watch my video on "Devilman: Crybaby", and why its gore, sex and violence make it so

fun to watch. And don't forget to like, comment, share, and of course, subscribe,
