nobody was sent to jail by the only the only attorney general I think member of

any cabinet that's ever been held in contempt of Congress is Eric Holder

modern presidency without anybody going to jail is really good it's a big deal

this investigation and he calls it like he sees it and that's what drives the

left crazy during the campaign and during his presidency he's just honest

and forthright and he uses language that cuts right to the chase so that the

American people understand what he's talking about

and and I got a I'm just so troubled by this that that whether it's the Hillary

Clinton campaign that you hear the rumors about whether it's this dossier

and these people associated with it or Barack Obama's Justice Department what

was going on that's why what Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan and and Nunez and

others are doing in the House of Representatives trying to force out

these memos from the Department of Justice are vital it is absolutely

imperative that the American people have transparency here and understand what

was going on what was exactly going on during these days and months leading up

to the election of Donald Trump as president and and we must get to that so

that we understand the underpinnings of this farce of an investigation into

so-called Russian collusion which of course never happened tell us how you

were just talking about those are the ethics those are what the Allens trying

to point to in this bloomberg piece it is ridiculous on its face and so this

president has delivered exactly what he says he's going to deliver and they

can't get him with the Russian collusion because it didn't happen and now they're

just trying to turn and pivot to a new issue of the day okay David I'm gonna

US lost track of 1,500 undocumented children, but says it's not 'legally responsible'

The federal government has placed thousands of unaccompanied immigrant children in the homes of sponsors, but last year it couldnt account for nearly 1,500 of them.

Steven Wagner, a top official with the Department of Health and Human Services,disclosed the number to a Senate subcommittee last month while discussing the state of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) that oversees the care of unaccompanied immigrant children.

Wagner is the acting assistant secretary for the Administration for Children and Families, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.

ORR is a program of the Administration for Children and Families.

Wagners statement has attracted more attention amid reports that immigrant children are being separated from their parents at the US border.

Wagner said the Department of Homeland Security referred more than 40,000 immigrant children to the ORR during the 2017 fiscal year.

After a stay in an ORR shelter, the majority of children are sent to live with sponsors who have close ties to the children -- typically a parent or close relative, Wagner said, though some end up living with other-than-close relatives or non-relatives.

Between October and December 2017, Wagner told the subcommittee, the ORR reached out to 7,635 unaccompanied children to check on them.

But the ORR was unable to determine with certainty the whereabouts of 1,475 children, Wagner testified.

An additional 28 had run away.

Thats more than 19% of the children that were placed by the ORR.

But Wagner said HHS is not responsible for the children.

I understand that it has been HHSs long-standing interpretation of the law that ORR is not legally responsible for children after they are released from ORR care, Wagner said.

The office is taking a fresh look at that question, he added.

But if the ORR were to be legally responsible for the well-being of unaccompanied immigrant children, it would need a significant increase in resources.

A request for comment from HHS on Saturday has not been returned.

The ORR has a series of evaluations to determine if a sponsor is suitable to provide and care for a child.

Those policies have also been enhanced since February 2016.

Among the ORRs practices, it evaluates potential sponsors relationship with the children and conducts background checks to ensure children are protected from human traffickers or smugglers, Wagner said.

Wagners statement has received increased scrutiny a month after the Department of Homeland Security defended an agency policy that will result in more families being separated at the border.

At a Senate hearing earlier this month, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said similar separations happen in the US every day.

Nielsen said the policy will refer everyone caught crossing the border illegally for prosecution, even if they are claiming they deserve asylum or have small children.

Any parents who are prosecuted as a result will be separated from their children in the process.

Our policy is if you break the law, we will prosecute you, Nielsen said.

You have an option to go to a port of entry and not illegally cross into our country..

DOLLAR TREE HAUL: Small But Mighty! - Duration: 3:45.

Hey guys, I'm back with another Dollar Tree haul!

I decided to go check out the store in Meadowvale again, partly because I was hoping to find

the new stickers everyone's been hauling, and partly because the shoe store next door

was having a clearance sale [laughs].

Sadly, I pretty much struck out on both quests… but of course I still picked up stuff at Dollar Tree!

Starting with the groceries, I finally found the Sizzlin' Sweet & Sour Pringles…

I figure these will either be disgusting or delicious, so we'll see which one it is [laughs]...

I also picked up a bag of Go2Snax rippled chips in case the Pringles suck [laughs].

I grabbed two mini boxes of Frosted Flakes for two for $1.25.

I picked up a bottle of this Lemon Lime Fruit Drop Water-Based Beverage [laughs]... aren't

all beverages water-based? [laughs]

Anyways, I saw this at my local grocery store for three or four dollars, so I thought

I'd pick it up for $1.25 instead!

I got two boxes of Crunch 'n Munch, one in Buttery Toffee and one in Caramel, simply

because I haven't had Crunch 'n Munch in forever, I can't remember what the difference

in the flavours is! [laughs]

I grabbed another pack of the peanut butter Rolos, because they are definitely delicious

- and yes, they are just chocolate and peanut butter with no caramel.

And I got two bags of the Hanky Panky, because I haven't had it in a while, and one bag

of the Choczels.

In home goods, I picked up a 6-pack of hangers…

A stick of White Pearl "Intimate Protection" deodorant…

More Pokemon cards, which aren't really a home good, but whatever...

I finally found the faux weaved baskets, AND the matching lids! [laughs] I think the theory

that I've seen people talking about is probably correct: that the staff don't seem to realize

that the lids and the baskets go together, because they're put on the shelves separately.

On previous trips I've either found the baskets and no lids, or I've found lids

with no baskets.

This time I did find a few matching lids and baskets - I picked up two of these brown ones

- but I also found a bunch of lids with no partners, in different colours, so…

I dunno, maybe Dollar Tree needs to make their packaging a little more clear for their staff

when they're putting stuff out? [laughs]

And then I got this tub that I'm hoping to use for tea dyeing, and dyeing paper, and

things like that…

I wanted to get something cheap to use that I won't care if it gets stained by whatever

I'm using to dye paper with.

And then finally, I only picked up a very small amount of craft stuff, sadly.

I picked up these two sets of butterfly stickers, which I think are new?

I could be wrong, though.

I got one of the purple and one of the blue.

And I also found the ridiculously adorable new baby stickers, that I know these are new,

so I grabbed two of these.

I picked up two more rolls of the Scotch double-sided tape, because while there is less of it on

the roll than on the Jot brand rolls, I found the Jot brand was not nearly as good, so I'm

going back to the Scotch.

And then I grabbed some more tiny ziploc bags, and then realized I just bought tiny ziploc

bags, and I actually needed to go one size up from this.

Oh well, I go through a lot of the tiny bags anyways, so it'll be fine! [laughs]

And yeah, that's it for both the craft stuff and the haul in total.

I'm still waiting on all the new stickers, I still can't find the washi I want… it's

pretty sad.

✅ Dublin Central report: lowest turnout but among strongest support for repeal - Duration: 3:02.

If Dublin Central stood out as a constituency in the referendum it was for its low turnout but its high support for repeal of the Eighth Amendment

While most other constituencies were showing voter participation of 60 per cent and higher, Dublin Central hovered at just over 50 per cent

Often described as the most deprived constituency in the State, just 51.5 per cent of voters cast their ballot

But the electorate voted 76.51 per cent in favour of the proposal to remove the Eighth Amendment from the Constitution, one of highest of the 40 constituencies

The three-seater, home to Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe, Sinn Féin president Mary Lou McDonald and Independent Maureen O'Sullivan, spreads across the north inner city and East Wall, out to Stoneybatter, Drumcondra, Cabra and parts of Glasnevin

Some observers say the high vote in support of repeal reflected the effective campaign by Ms McDonald

The Sinn Féin president herself though the result "took everyone a little by surprise"

"But people were saying they wanted to do the right thing and people talked in a quiet way to each other." She said "it's been the most extraordinary campaign I've every had a part in" and it was a "campaign beyond party politics." Ms O'Sullivan said voter apathy was a big issue in the constituency, even though large numbers of young people came out

"If you're living in an area that been neglected for years you get to the point of not bothering to vote because you feel it's not going to make a difference." She also pointed out that many people from new communities lived in the area and did not have a vote in referendums

But some areas had over 80 per cent in favour including Ballybough and Stoneybatter

Ms O'Sullivan said it was "not a day to be triumphalist. People on the No side are feeling very disappointed

But I can't see the floodgates opening as they predict." Workers' Party councillor Eilis Ryan, Together for Yes co-ordinator in Dublin Central, said she was "very proud that this constituency has returned one of the highest Yes votes in Dublin"
