cut out the shoulder pads with me - Duration: 6:17.
Oh hai friends welcome back to my channel for today's video I have this
vintage leather jacket from the 80s and it has a little too much shoulder pad
action so for today's video I'm going to be taking up the shoulder pads from this
leather jacket so I found this jacket a thrift store about a week ago and I
thought it was the coolest thing ever it's completely leather it's in great
condition and it has the coolest little style elements to it if you can see
these little like blue triangles everywhere on the pockets like snaps
it's nearly perfect but the shoulder pads are a little bit overwhelming it's
very eighties style so I'm thinking if I just take the shoulder pads out it'll be this
really nice like oversized drop shoulder coat for spring so yeah let's do it
you're gonna need a seam ripper I'm gonna need a needle and thread and
probably some fabric shears to cut out the shoulder pads depending on how how
thick they are so I'm gonna start shoulder pads right here
I'm gonna go into the shoulder seam and I'm going to start from the middle and
seam rip about this much I'll stop about right here on both sides
just enough to like fit my hand in this is a pretty delicate fabric so I'll try
really hard not to pull up on any threads
okay so now I have a pocket shoulder pad is in sight I'm gonna see how it's
attached Oh interesting a couple more on the inside
so I'm just gonna snip these and see if it'll come out
and there we go okay how big this is oh so I'm going to
throw in my needle this is about the closest color I can find to this lining
so it shouldn't show up too much and I want about twice the length of this seam
and it doesn't have to be accurate I just guess at it so I'm gonna start down
here I'm gonna bury the original not kind of in the middle of this seam here
so it's it doesn't stand out and I pick up a few threads and
we've and to not I'm going to stitch right along this fold line and go take
one stitch on the fold line on one side of the fabric
and then as if this were sewn vertically I'm gonna go right across to the other
flat line and take a little stitch so that way
when it's pulled tight you can't see the thread at all and that's the goal it'll
just continue stitching right into that fold back and forth until the whole seam
is closed up this is called an invisible stitch it's used at the end of sewing
projects for like pillows or anything stuffed this is a pretty thin light
fabric so you don't really have to worry about tension too much if you pull it
too tight right you just straighten it out and it looks fine
all right so I'm at the end of the scene here I'm going to then tie it off by
just looping back over a stitch that I made before bring it out to a small loop
that one foot one two and then you pull it tight and that's your tie off and
then to make sure that this thread isn't sticking out I'm gonna then sew this
back under into the seam so that I can bury the thread and I'll just bring the
needle out out here and apply a little bit of pressure with your thumb in this
knot so that you can pull pull the knot under so now it's as invisible as
possible I'm just gonna take my seam ripper
yeah pull this up a little bit and cut it off so now the seam is buried all
right all that's left is to do the other side the same way and we'll be done whoo
so I'm pretty amazed at the difference but the shoulder pads made there even
before they were a little lopsided now they're just kind of rolling off the
shoulders the leathers looking really good I'm super happy with how this
turned out I'm gonna be posting the stack it on my depop so if you're

point of inspiration for you if you find something at a thrift store that's close
to perfect but not quite you know just like kind of resew it back together make

And we've arrived to the last video in the series of movies nominated for the Oscar.

I'll start talking about Phantom Thread by Paul Thomas Anderson.
This movie is about a dress designer from the 50's.
Who is very well established in the fashion world.
He's considered a genius for his designs. Everybody wants his dresses.
And for this same reason, his attitude is a bit irritating
because he has too much on his head.
So let's say he's this way because of that.
But, I didn't like him.
This character is performed by Daniel Day-Lewis
This is supposed to be his last movie,
so that was the main reason I wanted to watch this movie.
Because it would be his last performance.
I hope he regrets this decision and ends up making more movies.
Because he's a great actor.
And, in this movie, that's obviously no exception.
He acts, impeccably, as always.
In this story, he meets his new muse.
Who moves in with him, works form him and have a strange relationship.
In general the whole movie is weird.
A bit slow.
Well, very slow.
Actually, I'll be honest.
I went to see this movie at 11 pm.
And I was falling asleep.
There were a lot of times where I was starting to nod off.
Because, as I said the movie is slow and I went in quite late.
The story didn't got to me, ever.
I didn't empathize with any character.
This movie is not for everyone, and I consider myself part of this "everyone".
I didn't enjoy it. I didn't get anything from this story.
You're not going to watch the story, but the character development.
This is why it feels slow.
Out of the nominees this is the one I liked the least.
I know there are some who are loving it. But it wasn't for me.
Maybe if I had watched it less sleepy.
I think the surest Oscar it has is the one for best costume design.
Because being a movie about dress deigns
it should have amazing costumes throughout the movie, and it does.
There are so many dresses that were what woke me up a bit.
It was like "I want that" dress, and then fall back to nodding off.
Yes, it has a cool costume design.
Very 50's. I think that in that time they used to dress so glamorous.
And I would love we went back to dress like that.
That's all I have to say about this movie.
It's my point of view. As I said it's not for everyone
but, give it a chance and make your own judgement.
This is just my opinion.
Now I'll talk about Lady Bird by Greta Gerwig. Performed by Saoirse Ronan.
This movie was all I wanted it to be, and more.
This movie is mainly about Lady Bird's relationship with her mother.
But it all shows us the relationships with her friends, boyfriends, father, brother.
Everything that involved being 18 years old.
And how you're trying to fit in society.
How you're trying to adapt because you still don't know who you are.
And that's why you're trying to test all the possibilities
and find yourself.
The director achieves to portrait exactly how you felt at this age.
I felt super identified.
I enjoyed very much this movie. It was like visiting my 10 years younger self.
And the nostalgia. I ended up crying.
It covers a lot of situations. And I think she wanted to add even more.
But they didn't fit in the movie anymore.
I think the selection of the scenes where the necessary ones.
There were no left overs and nothing missing.
For me it was perfect. I loved every second of this movie.
And I could re-watch it a thousand times.
It's funny, nostalgic, it makes you cry. It's perfect.
For me it was perfect.
And the last movie I'll talk about is Call me by your name by Luca Guadagnino.
This movie...
It's been a long time since I watched a movie that made me feel those butterflies.
And the need to scream "KISS ALREADY!"
To feel that tension and emotion from when you were in that horny age.
In this movie we see a family formed by father, mother and son.
The son is 17 years old.
And they're spending their summer vacations somewhere in Italy.
They rent a room to a guy.
Not as young, a young adult 24 year-old guy.
He is American.
And he arrives with a great attitude, very confident.
And Elio, the son from the family,
finds his attitude a bit annoying and rude.
Starting with, Oliver, the guest that just arrived,
stays in his room, he doesn't come down to eat, pays no attention to his hosts.
So he feels that's kind of rude.
They start to spend some time together with the friends he has in Italy.
And in this outings you start to notice the tension of how they attract each other.
How Elio feels confused and doesn't know how to deal with these new feelings
and these new sensations.
Having 17 years old where his hormones are all crazy.
And that makes it even more confusing.
And this poor guy doesn't know what else to do.
At least Oliver has 24 years old, so he can guide him a little bit through this path.
In this movie I couldn't stop screaming to the screen for something to happen
I was getting hot already, just by seeing them.

The actor who plays Elio
Is amazing.
He has some scenes where he's just laying down.
But you can see in his face and his attitude what's going on in his head.
He is VERY talented.
These performances leave you without breath.
How can they convey so much and really make you feel what they feel
without doing anything?
Another reason I loved this movie was that,
personally, I love the movies with warm colours.
Where they're on vacation, in summer, enjoying life, drinking some wine.
They make me feel so relaxed, as if I'm also on vacation.
Watching this movie was a complete hedonist moment.
And I would love to watch it again any time I feel like I need to relax.
But also to feel something intense.
I haven't read the book from which it is based on.
And I think, I think,
They could make a sequel.
There's an opportunity to have a sequel
because, apparently, the book has more parts, more sections.
So, they could make a sequel and even a trilogy.
I don't know. I hope they do because I'd love to watch those.

PLAN WITH ME | March 2018 Bullet Journal Setup + GIVEAWAY - Duration: 7:25.
hey guys welcome back to my channel and welcome back to another bullet journal
plan with me video as per your request I'm doing a very quick flip through of
February all filled in before we move on to March s setup I was a few days behind
my daily affirmations and a few days behind my habit tracker but mostly I
have stayed pretty consistent and my weekly spread was the same just the same
thing repeated so we'll just skip over that so before we get into this app I'm

for March so last month I asked you guys what kind of theme you'd like to see and
Laurie I hope that's how you pronounce your name requested that I do a tea time
theme I thought I would do an English spin on it and make the theme this month
afternoon tea so I immediately thought of Han Kim when
I thought of tea for what I should do for my cover page and this is one of my
favorite pieces by her I thought I would copy it and put it as my cover page I
just took the cinnamon sticks out so I will link her instagram below she does
the coolest pieces of all and quite a lot of them featured tea and like tea
bags and like galaxies and unusual perspectives so I love this one of a
woman taking like a spa bath and a teacup and I was really liking how this
looked but I wanted to do it accurately and have the black so I braved the
tombow black pen but it stays in key for quite a bit before it dries so that is
some left-handed like that's some risky business and I was doing so well until
suddenly this smudge appeared and I had some on the back of my hand no idea how
that happened left-handed problems I guess and on to
my monthly spread I decided to do this bubbly like more thick and bold font
this month I'm really liking moving away from calligraphy I got a bit bored for
like half the air I was doing different styles of calligraphy and copying like
calligraphy fonts but I just felt a bit stale so I wanted to move away from that
and on to something like minimalist and a little bit more like plain and I'm
really enjoying it so far so now I'm doing some teacups I've drawn some like
flowery tea and some chamomile tea which I saw on Pinterest and I'm doing the
same kind of like important and goal sections because I really liked my
calendar last month it worked well for me a month just isn't busy enough to fit
in a massive calendar and I liked my little sections but I've decided to
switch out my blog for my Instagram because I really want to start taking my
Instagram more seriously and posting more often and Instagram is a great way
to show off photography and I am a budding little photographer so I really
want to practice my photography and try out new things with themes and stuff and
really get into Instagram so I'm drawing some little doodles I saw on Pinterest
of a little dessert with sauce on the top and a cup of tea and a scone do not
fight me on that I will actually die on this hill but as I say it and finally
I'm doing a strawberry dessert and adding a bit more accent color and now
for the affirmation spread I decided to keep this from last month because I
really enjoyed the affirmations last month we did self love and this month
I'm doing a something positive every day and right here my camera cut out in the
middle of my bright ideas spread so I'm just showing a clip of last month it's
exactly the same but instead of these colors I used purple and mint and I
actually sell my full expense tracker with my camera turned off the battery
died and I just didn't know is so you know what shit happens but I did it
exactly the same as last month no changes a section for my shopping and my
wish list and just standard expenses and moving on to my habit tracker pretty
much the same this month but I'm just drawing a cake instead of a cup
of tea I really like it when I find something that works I tend to stick to
it but if you do have any ideas for spreads or things I could change it up
just in case you guys get a bit bored do let me know in the comments but I do
like to track the same things and keep it pretty minimalistic so that I do
consistently stick to my habit checker I also really enjoyed the cha and how cool
it looked with the mood being in black and the sleep tracker being in color so
my camera actually cut out here again this time the SD card was full but I
pretty much set up my weekly spread exactly the same as last month where I
did a little sections for each day of the week and then in between I did
doodles so I did the exact same Cup as before I also drew this adorable little
jar of cookies with a jug of milk and I'm drawing another cup of tea here I'm
kind of doing the theme of having to like one odd and even so two of the cups
and one of the dessert and now I'm doing two of the dessert and one of the tea
cups so now I'm doing a I think this might be a piece of top or maybe a piece
of pie I think it's a talk with some whipped cream on top this is just
something I saw on Pinterest and then the syrup drawn on top and I love the
little blobs like the blobs of sauce that they do in restaurants those are so
nice looking and I'm doing a cup of berry flavored tea so I have little
berries with leaves bursting out of the top and now I'm drawing a little plate
of sandwiches but I thought it was looking a little bit plain compared to
the others so I looked up olives because I forgot one olive look like to draw
some little olives next to the sandwich here is the final flip through with my
artwork from Hanna Kim I absolutely love this I think it looks gorgeous and it's
really nice and minimalistic and here is my monthly calendar I'm
really liking this like established theme I have going of like black and
white with a pop of color and like drawings really spread out so everything
has a lot of like space between it and I think that makes it look nice and
minimalistic and simple and I absolutely love this theme it's making me crave an
afternoon tea sadly there is nowhere near me that does a dairy-free afternoon
tea so I might just have to make my own maybe if you'd like to see a dairy free
afternoon tea video and also let me know what steam you'd
like to see for April because as you can see if you leave a comment I will
actually make that theme and make it happen I will also leave a poll in the
cards above to vote on what color is my accent color for the month I really

Seeing how I got ready and this is the finished look.
On me I have a leather studded jacket I think from one of the clothing swaps out
here in LA so I don't know where it came from but it's nice and cute and you can mix it
and match it with any leather jacket pretty much.
And if you want I can do a tutorial on how to put studs on.
I didn't put the studs on these but it's pretty easy.
Just let me know in the comments box if you want that to happen as well.
And then this bodysuit here honey what?
This bodysuit is more like a bathing suit.
It's big on side boob.
So if you like side boob you'll love this.
If not just wear a little tube top or bandeau right under it and you'll be fine.
I think I'm gonna put on in just for security.
