Unusual Keita deal means Liverpool can afford Lemar and Van Dijk this summer - report

Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign Thomas Lemar and Virgil van Dijk before tomorrow's 11pm deadline.

Moves for the Monaco and Southampton duo would follow the Keita agreement ahead of next year. Liverpool will officially welcome the 22-year-old midfielder to the club on July 1, 2018.

Starsport understands the Reds will pay £60m, which could have taken a large chunk of their transfer budget. However, according to website Football Whispers, Liverpool only had to pay a nominal fee - similar to a deposit - this summer.

The majority of the fee will be handed to RB Leipzig next year. As a result, Football Whispers add Klopp is able to pursue both Lemar and Van Dijk knowing he won't have to sell to fund their arrivals.

Barcelona have been rebuffed in all their approaches for Philippe Coutinho, and Liverpool can stick with that stance. Two bids from the Reds have already been rejected by Monaco for their star winger Lemar.

But Starsport understands Liverpool are poised to raise their bid to £75m, which would be a club-record fee.

A formal offer for Southampton centre-half Van Dijk, meanwhile, is yet to be made.

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group could still decide to cash in on Coutinho as his relationship with Klopp has deteriorated. But that is not essential for the Reds to buy Lemar and Van Dijk.

Coutinho's potential exit could also lead to additional signings before tomorrow. Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is holding out for a move to Merseyside, having turned down a £40m move to Chelsea.

With These 4 Yoga Positions You Can Remove Back And Belly Fat

Yoga is the greatest way to relax and also tone the body.

It is demanding at times but the benefits and end results are worth it, both physically

and mentally.

You will be more relaxed, pressure will be lower, the body stronger and toned with lean

muscles and less fat tissues and joints will be more flexible.

This all reduces chances of injuries.

The stomach region is the hardest to shrink from belly fat, but with Asana poses you can

change its shape to a more defined one at least.

So, remember yoga needs also a healthy diet regime for the Asana to work.

COBRA POSE

Lie down on the stomach and stretch the legs behind the back, forehead looking on the floor

and palms under shoulders.

The elbows must be tucked to touch the ribs.

Deeply inhale and feel strength in the arms as you arch the back so that chest, head and

shoulders too are risen from the floor.

Keep the hips and thighs grounded.

Rise up as much as you can in height.

Hold this for 30 seconds and lower down.

Do 5 reps with pause of 15 seconds in each.

This is good for abdomen working out but also strength in the back and waist making the

spine more flexible and bendable.

BOW POSE

Lie on stomach and stretch the legs and hands too with sides faced up.

Exhale slowly as you bend the knees.

Make them closer to the buttocks as much as you can and try to reach the arms back while

you grab the ankles.

Deep breathing all the time and every pose is kept for 20 seconds, then release and exhale.

5 reps with 15 seconds pause between each pose.

This strengthens the abdomen and overall the whole elasticity in the back and spine.

It calms you and energizes as well.

KNEES TO CHEST

Lie on the back and stretch the legs out, keep the heels together close and arms should

be at the sides.

Knees must be bent and moved toward the chest.

Grab them and pull them closely, as if you hug your body do this for a whole minute.

Then, release the knees and exhale slowly.

5 reps with 15 seconds pause, again the same.

This also focuses on the abdomen but spine too.

Also, it increases good metabolism.

SUN SALUTATION

This is a bit more different; it involves 12 different poses in a certain order.

Best is to do them in the morning.

All of the body, every part not just the abdomen, is getting benefits from this.

In fact, the salutations give you energy for the whole day.

They also do a detox and fasten up the good work of lymphatic system.

Even more, they improve the work of digestive tract since the bowel movements become more

BACK TO SCHOOL HACKS & DIYS ANYONE CAN DO | @karenkavett - Duration: 13:58.

Hi guys, I'm Karen Kavett, and it is time for another Back to School video.

Today I'm going to be talking back to school hacks - aka DIY projects and other random

ideas that just didn't fit into any of my other videos.

Ok, let's get started.

First up I've got a couple more school supply DIY ideas.

Everybody wants cool pencils right?

But what about DIY Harry Potter pencils?

I know, so cool, you're gonna have the best pencils around.

To make these, you'll want some pencils, obviously, but you're going to want the

completely round ones instead of the faceted ones.

Then the secret here is sticker paper.

I printed my designs at 7" by 1.5" and you can print or draw anything you like, it

doesn't have to be Harry Potter.

Just cut those out and then peel up the backing and carefully wrap them around your pencil.

Really press it down to make sure that it's not going anywhere.

And, that's it.

The best part about this is that you can sharpen them in any pencil sharpener and the sticker

paper sharpens off with the pencil.

These are super quick to make but they're basically the best pencils I've ever seen.

Next we're going to make this pencil case that fits into your binder out of a ziploc

bag.

I know that I've been super into ziploc bag pencil cases for a while now, but this

is the last one.

So you'll want to start with a gallon-sized ziploc bag and place it on your binder to

figure out how much of the bottom you should cut off.

Cut that off and then seal off the bottom with packing tape.

Then just like I showed you in my DIY sandwich bag pencil cases video over on HGTV Handmade,

cover it with duct tape to make whatever pattern you like.

Only this time, add an extra strip of tape to the bottom because we want it to be really

strong there.

Now place it next to your binder again and mark where the three rings are gonna go.

Use your craft knife to cut an X and then to cut a small circle, and don't worry about

this looking perfect.

Because we're going to cover it up with grommets.

These come in two pieces, so take the piece with the smaller hole and stick it through

the circle you just cut.

Then place the other piece on top and when you buy grommets, they should come with a

piece that looks like this that fits right onto it.

Use a hammer to give it a few good hits and then the grommet should look like this and

it should stay in place.

Repeat that for the other two holes and now it is time for the moment of truth - does

it fit in our binder?

Yes it does, and I think that looks awesome, so now you're never gonna forget your school

supplies again because you can stick them all right into your binder so everything is

all in one place.

Alright, moving on to some dorm room/apartment hacks.

First up is another craft - a holographic letter banner that you can rearrange to say

anything that you want.

I am obsessed with these holographic letter stickers, but you could use any large letter

stickers that you have.

Just press each one onto a piece of colored paper, and I like using a bunch of different

colors.

Then cut it out so that there's an outline of colored paper all the way around the letter.

I'm only making a handful of these because I'll be using the rest of the letters for

other projects, but you can totally make these for every letter of the alphabet so you'll

be able to spell out any message that you want.

Once all of them are made, you'll need small magnets.

Use a piece of tape to tape a magnet to the back of each letter.

And then - this is where the magic happens.

Cut a piece of string and then tie paper clips to the string every few inches.

And you can see that the magnets on the letters stick to the paper clips.

Then when you hang it up, you've got a pretty sweet banner - and you can pull off each letter

and rearrange them on the paper clips as many times as you want.

This is perfect for birthdays or holidays or any kind of celebration that you want to

add a custom decoration to.

Our next hack has to do with these large bins that I think everyone has bought from IKEA.

You can fit a ton of stuff into them, but sometimes things get lost and you want to

separate them into smaller compartments.

Well, you can in fact do that with a couple pieces of foam core.

Just cut down your foam core until it fits exactly into the diagonal of the box.

You'll want two of these and you'll want to cut a slit up the middle of each one so

that when you put them into your box, they slide together to give you four smaller compartments.

This is non-permanent, you're not using glue or anything, so you can take them in

and out without damaging your storage box at all.

And of course if you want your compartments to be different sizes, you can just put in

one piece of foamcore to do two compartments or you can put in multiples to divide it up

even more.

Now if you live in a dorm room or an apartment building, you probably don't have your own

washing machine.

I know that I have to drag my laundry basket downstairs to the back of the building every

time I need to do laundry.

So to make sure I don't forget anything, I actually keep all of my laundry supplies

at the bottom of my laundry basket.

I've got delicates bags, a mason jar full of quarters, a jar of detergent pods, and

dryer sheets.

Another little hack - if you use these easy detergent pods like I do, don't carry the

giant box of them down to the laundry machine each time - just put a couple in a smaller

jar and refill it as you need to.

Then put everything in the bottom of your laundry basket, throw your laundry on top,

and once you've emptied it all out into the washing machine, all your supplies are

right there ready for you to use.

Alright, now I have three study tips for you, which aren't really visual, I'm just gonna

tell you.

Number one is that a great way to study is to rewrite your notes neatly.

If you're writing notes really quickly in class, they're probably all over the place

and kind of messy, and using your hands to write something down actually makes you remember

it way more than just typing it or just reading it over and over and again.

You can even take inspiration from bullet journaling - only instead of making beautiful

charts about your to-do list, you can make them about the Civil War, or whatever it is

you're studying.

Next, there are two types of tasks that we do - mindful tasks and mindless tasks.

Mindful tasks are the ones that you really have to use your brain to accomplish, like

writing an essay.

And mindless tasks are the ones that you can kind of do on autopilot, like double checking

your spelling in that essay.

So anytime I'm working on a big project that I know I'm going to procrastinate from,

I always try to stop in the middle of a mindless task.

That way when you come back to the project, you know exactly what you need to do to get

started without even thinking about it, and it's a lot less daunting to kind of ease

yourself into a project by working on something mindless, and then since you're already

in "work mode," you can move right into the actual difficult parts of the project.

And finally, if you have a big test to study for or a big essay to write, it's so helpful

to make yourself a mini to-do list just for that project.

It can be so overwhelming to just put "write essay" on your to-do list, so, break it

up into smaller action items - Make a new document.

Gather your sources.

Write an outline.

Write the intro.

Double check your spelling.

Write your bibliography.

Print and staple the essay.

Obviously you'll have to tailor that to the exact project you're working on, but

I find it is so much easier to stay motivated if you can just be constantly crossing things

off a to-do list even if they're the tiniest little pieces of the project.

So those were my Back to School tips and tricks.

i5-750 vs i5-7500: Can An 8 Year Old i5 Still Game In 2017? - Duration: 13:08.

How far have Intel's i5 processors come since the first generation?

Howdy howdy guys, ponchato here, and today we'll be taking a look at the first processor

in the i5 series, the 750, versus its most recent successor, the i5-7500.

The i5-750 was released back in September of 2009, which actually makes it one of the

very first "Core i" series processors ever.

It's built on the 45nm Lynnfield architecture, which sounds pretty quaint by modern standards.

The 750 used Intel's LGA 1156 socket and ran with DDR3 memory.

It's a 4 core, 4 thread processor, just like modern i5s, running at 2.66GHz and a

95W TDP.

With a launch price right around $200, the i5-750 was priced identically to the 7500.

And that's our modern contender, Intel's i5-7500.

This one was released in January of 2017 as part of Intel's 14nm Kaby Lake architecture.

It uses the LGA 1151 socket and runs with DDR4 memory.

Like the 750 and all i5s that succeeded it, the i5-7500 is a 4 core, 4 thread processor.

It runs at 3.4GHz and has a much tighter 65W TDP.

MSRP for the 7500 was right around $200 at launch, almost 8 years after the 750.

The i5-750 I'm using is running with DDR3 memory, while the i5-7500 is using DDR4.

Other than that, the systems basically are identical with 8GB of RAM, an RX 480 4GB,

and booting off an SSD.

First up, we'll look at Cinebench.

Running both CPU tests, the i5-7500 scores 603 in multicore and 164 in single core.

Compare that to the i5-750 getting a somewhat less impressive 330 in multicore and 94 in

single core.

That's an 83% increase in multicore performance and a 74% increase in single core, even though

the 7500 is only clocked about 28% faster than the 750.

This is a good example of IPC (or 'Instructions Per Clock') performance.

Not only does the 7500 run faster, it also does more work per clock cycle.

As we get closer and closer to the upper limit of Moore's law, efficiency increases like

this will become more and more important.

Now the game results.

First up, Battlefield 1.

As expected, the difference is much more dramatic at low settings, where processor speed is

the limiting factor rather than GPU speed.

On low settings, the 7500 almost doubles the 750's average frame rate at 183 vs 108 FPS.

Lows are also almost doubled at 97 vs 56 in 1% and 65 vs 35 in 0.1%.

The trend continues on medium settings with the 7500 averaging 45FPS more than the 750,

1% lows up 32FPS, and 0.1% lows up 30FPS.

On high settings, the averages are much closer; there's only a 10% difference between the

two processors.

That means we're starting to get bottlenecked by the GPU.

Lows still show a fairly significant difference with the 750 trailing by 22% and 36% in 1%

and 0.1% lows, respectively.

On ultra the story is similar with averages only diverging by 7 frames per second but

lows are a bit further apart than on high settings: about 27% higher 1% lows and 55%

higher 0.1% lows.

In fact, looking across the 750's results from low up to ultra, you can see that the

processor is the biggest factor in restricting performance; there's only a 28FPS difference

between low and ultra.

Next, Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Because this game is so graphically simple, processor speed ends up being the dominant

factor even on high settings.

Looking at the graph, the 750 averages almost 65% slower on low settings.

There's a 49 FPS delta in 1% lows and 22 FPS delta in 0.1% lows.

On medium settings, averages diverged by 79%, 1% lows by 88%, and 0.1% lows more than doubled

on the 7500.

Similarly on high, the 750's average FPS trailed by about 77% compared to the 7500.

1% lows and 0.1% lows were both more than double with the 7500.

It should be noted that 1% lows reached down to 22FPS and 0.1% lows hit 7, with the older

i5-750.

Not exactly what you want in a competitive shooter.

Third is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Honestly I did not expect this game to show such a big performance difference between

the two processors, since it's so graphically intensive.

On low settings, the 750 trails by 17 frames per second average, 14 FPS in 1% lows, and

8 FPS in 0.1% lows.

On medium settings the averages are much closer, only 3 frames apart, but lows are still divergent

with an 8FPS difference in the 1% case and 11FPS difference in the 0.1% case.

On ultra, where the GPU is bottlenecking hard, averages are identical at 39 FPS.

Lows still show a difference with the 7500 almost maintaining 30FPS all the time, while

the 750 drops down to 24FPS in the slowest 1% of frames and 15FPS in the slowest 0.1%.

If you're running at medium or better settings, a faster processor won't do much for average

FPS, but it can make a big difference in lows.

Fourth in the lineup is GTA V, and the weird "stuttering on low settings" problem rears

its ugly head again.

On low, the 750 averages 94FPS with 1% lows at 67FPS and 0.1% lows at 61FPS.

That's pretty respectable performance from a processor that's almost a decade old.

The 7500 bugs out on us and even though it averages 125, the low frames hit about 8FPS.

Basically unplayable, but this is more of a glitch than a performance problem.

On medium, the performance improvement is very notable.

The 7500 averages almost 40FPS faster than the 750, just under 30FPS faster in the 1%

lows, and 28FPS faster in the 0.1% lows.

On high settings, the 7500's worst case lows once again match or beat the 750's

average; the 7500 hits 64FPS in 1% lows while the 750 averages, overall, 64FPS.

That's a pretty handy performance delta.

Next is Just Cause 3.

Because this game is so heavy on CPU and memory, I figured that the i5-7500 would just destroy

the 750.

Not just due to its faster processing speed, but also because of the significantly faster

DDR4 memory.

One look at the graph confirms that hypothesis.

On low, the 7500 averages almost two and a half times faster than the 750.

1% lows are nearly double at 49FPS versus 28, and 0.1% lows bump up 12FPS with the 7500.

On medium, the 7500 averages 63FPS higher than the 750, 14 FPS higher in 1% lows, and

5FPS higher in 0.1% lows.

High settings were a bit more interesting; the 750's average was well below the 7500s

and the 1% lows trailed by 25%, but the 0.1% lows were actually better on the 750 than

on the 7500.

We can probably chock this one up to measurement error or some background process turning on

while benchmarking, but it's an interesting note.

Sixth in the lineup is Blizzard's Overwatch.

To me, these results are just bizarre.

I can't figure this game out.

On low, averages are identical due to the built-in hard cap of 300FPS but this time

it's the 750, not the 7500, that leads in lows.

The 8 year old 750 runs 15FPS higher 1% lows and a pretty sizable 42FPS gain in 0.1% lows.

On high settings the results are nearly identical around a 226FPS average, 175 FPS 1% low, but

a 15FPS difference in 0.1% lows.

On ultra, the results are actually pretty much identical; 116 FPS average, 76-ish FPS

1% lows, and 60FPS in the 0.1% lows.

Performance in this game has always been a bit wonky to me.

Always smooth and non-distracting, definitely, but weird once you put it on a graph.

Two processors this far apart in age really shouldn't be performing the same.

Weird.

Next up is the game that just passed DOTA 2 in highest number of simultaneous players

on Steam: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

Looking at the graph, on low settings the 750 only trails by 12 frames per second average.

1% lows have a bigger 18FPS gap, and 0.1% lows are down by 4FPS.

On medium settings, the 7500 once again only leads by about 10% in the average.

1% lows are up 8FPS and 0.1% lows up 5; not too big of a difference.

On ultra the 750 trails by about 8% in the average, but a much more sizable 16FPS in

1% lows and 8FPS in 0.1% lows.

Based on these results, it looks like this game is mostly bound by the GPU, rather than

the processor.

Last in the gaming lineup is Rocket League.

Being an esports title with easy-to-render graphics, I expected this game to show a big

difference in performance, especially at low settings.

The graph confirms that hypothesis.

On low, the 7500 leads average FPS by over 120 frames per second.

1% lows were up 80 frames, and 0.1% lows were up a much smaller 17FPS.

On medium, once again the 7500 was far ahead on average: 275FPS versus the 750's 168.

1% lows from the 7500 also showed a significant 60% gain over the 750, but 0.1% lows closed

the gap again at 103FPS for the 750 and 126FPS for the 7500.

High settings showed the smallest performance gains, likely since the GPU is taxed much

more heavily at this level.

Averages for the 750 and 7500 were 138FPS and 165FPS respectively, with the 750 trailing

in 1% lows by 24FPS and 0.1% lows by 17 frames per second.

These results are just about in line with the difference in multicore performance measured

in Cinebench.

So the 750 falls pretty far behind the 7500 in most games.

But, how does it hold up in power consumption and temperatures?

At idle, the 750 stayed around 30C.

While gaming in CSGO, it fluctuated quite a bit but stayed around 54C.

While stress testing with Prime95, the i5-750 hit 61C.

The 8 year newer i5-7500 idled around 33C.

During gaming in CSGO it averaged right around 50C, and while stress testing the 7500 peaked

at 59C.

Both CPUs were cooled by fairly typical aftermarket tower coolers; the 750 had an old Cooler Master

Hyper 212 Plus while the 7500 was cooled by a Deepcool Gammaxx 400.

So the temperatures actually aren't that much different, but what about power consumption?

Sitting idle on the desktop, the 750 used 61W.

The 7500 actually used more at idle; 68W.

While gaming, however, the 750 falls behind.

In CSGO, the 750 drew 235W from the wall, while the 7500 only took 204W.

While stress testing, the difference is even more pronounced with the 750 taking 272W and

the 7500 only using 232W.

Not a big enough difference that you'd need a different power supply to run the old processor,

but big enough to be worth noting.

Based on the comparisons in this video, you may get the impression that the 750 is a worthless

CPU because it's so much slower than a modern i5.

But, actually, I think the data shows the opposite.

It can still maintain 60+ FPS in most games, and in some games (particularly esports titles),

it can keep up 120FPS or better.

An old i5-750 build can easily be brought up to run modern games if you just drop in

a recent graphics card and install 8GB of memory.

In fact in a lot of these benchmarks, the limiting factor was the GPU, not the processor.

So is the 8 year old i5-750 still relevant in 2017?

I think it is.

What are some of the common obstacles that you see

that people can counter?

Well, I think one really

common one is like a very difficult time

tolerating negative emotional states.

Like, we all want to feel happy.

The minute that we feel sad it's like, oh, no, oh, no,

we have to struggle with this.

I think we all have to really visualize all emotions,

positive or negative, more like waves in the ocean, like,

they come and they go and you can't really hold onto it.

If you have a way of actually taking sadness and, like,

visualizing it as a physical object outside yourself...

Yeah.

...whether it looks like

a person, a monster, a book-- any physical object,

even the Grand Canyon, has a beginning and an end.

[Matthew] What kind of advice do you have for people

who might be feeling a little nervous

or uncomfortable in this?

A lot of what I do is teaching people

how to give themselves permission for pleasure.

Just being able to say, "Okay, what do I really want?"

And to learn to communicate that.

Is there much discussion that goes on in cuddle parties?

Because I feel like once I'm being this intimate

with someone, I feel like I should get to know them.

It's one of the few places where you're allowed to just be you

without the pressure of doing anything.

It's really, it's very meditative and very soothing.

I'm sure arousal can happen.

How do you work around some awkward moment

during a cuddle event?

So, the first thing is, nobody will get shamed.

Our bodies, they do things.

But, we talk about how we just honor the space

so we can make an adjustment

so you're not stoking any kind of erotic energy.

BiliScreen App Can Detect Early Signs of Pancreatic Cancer - Duration: 4:18.

Hi, I'm Heathcliff and this is Lions Ground.

I hope you have a fantastic day.

Smart researchers at the University of Washington are working on an app called Biliscreen.

An app that can analyze selfies of your smartphone and can discover early signs of pancreatic

cancer.

The app's name Biliscreen comes from the word bilirubin,

a brownish yellow substance found in bile also called jaundiced, a yellowish or greenish

pigmentation of the skin and whites of the eyes due to high bilirubin levels.

How does this app work?

You have to wear a paper glasses printed with colored squares to help calibrate colors or

a 3D-printed box that blocks ambient lighting.

The Biliscreen app uses the phone's built-in camera and flash to make photos of the person's

eyes.

A computer vision system then isolates the white parts and calculates color information

from the sclera (the white outer layer of the eyeball).

Tests have shown that scientists found 89.9% of 70 participants had a correct diagnosis.

2. Do not use the bright video camera light

3. Do not touch your eye with your finger.

4. Make sure your mobile is virus free

What is pancreatic cancer?

The word pan in pancreatic comes from the pancreas, a gland located behind the stomach

and in front of the pine.

Pancreatic cancer is a disease in which malignant cancerous cells form in the tissues of the

pancreas.

About 53,670 people (27,970 men and 25,700 women) will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

About 43,090 people (22,300 men and 20,790 women) will die of pancreatic cancer, estimates

The American Cancer Society.

Symptoms: Yellowing of the skin or the white of the

eyes Pain in the upper or middle abdomen and back

Mysteriously weight loss Loss of appetite

Fatigue Depression

"The problem with pancreatic cancer is that by the time you discovered the symptones,

it's frequently too late," said lead author Alex Mariakakis, a doctoral student at the

Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering.

"The hope is that if people can do this simple test once a month — in the privacy

of their own homes — some might catch the disease early enough to undergo treatment

that could save their lives."
