Trey Gowdy will not be running for re-election.
He has instead decided to make a return to the justice system.
Some people have begun to wonder if Gowdy might be able to obtain a more important title.
The title?
Supreme Court Justice.
In his statement, Gowdy explained "I will not be filing for re-election to Congress
nor seeking any other political or elected office.
(I)nstead I will be returning to the justice system.
Whatever skills I may have are better utilized in a courtroom than in Congress, and I enjoy
our justice system more than our political system."
The very same day that Gowdy made the announcement that he would be leaving Congress and politics
in general, a seat on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals became vacant.
Judge Dennis W. Shedd serves in the Richmond, Virginia-based federal court.
Shedd took senior status on Wednesday, which means that he is leaving active service, but
he will still intervene in some cases.
The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that Shedd's seat is a part of South Carolina,
which may potentially allow President Donald Trump to personally nominate Trey Gowdy to
the court.
Gowdy spent timing serving as a state solicitor and a federal prosecutor prior to being elected
to Congress.
On top of that, people have been buzzing that Gowdy may possibly be a potential nominee
to the federal bench.
National Review Online's Dan McLaughlin reported that if Trey Gowdy is to become a
federal judge, he might just have a chance at being nominated to the Supreme Court eventually.
McLaughlin stated, "Don't be surprised if Gowdy is Trump's pick to replace Shedd
for a life-tenured position (and maybe an outside shot someday at the Supreme Court)."

This holiday is celebrated by the entire country.
This nationwide tradition has at its core deep and sincere feelings of respect for those who reliably guarantee the defence capacity of Russia, and protect the peaceful life of our citizens.
Military service for the glory of the Fatherland has always been revered in our country.
Russia has confronted external threats and violations of its independence more than once.
Our soldiers, sailors, and officers bravely defended the country and were victorious not only thanks to their training and the might of their weapons
but also their strength of spirit and great love for their homeland.
Patriotism is etched in our people's character.
And we know the heroic heights it elevates people to when the homeland is imperilled.
Saving the Fatherland, being prepared to throw yourself on a fellow soldier, protecting those dear to you – this is always stronger than even the most difficult ordeals.
Recently we marked the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad which fully revealed the victorious unity of the army and the people,
whereas the warriors' feat, the battle itself, which determined the course of the war, has been immortalised in world history as much as the other great battles of the Great Patriotic War
entered in the chronicles of the military glory of our country.
And the warmest words are reserved for our veterans today.
Russia's modern Armed Forces honour your covenants, understand and respect the high calling of military service,
acquire experience during strategic and tactical exercises, and become battle-hardened in operations against terrorists and their formations.
I would like to thank again all those who took part and are taking part in combat activities on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Our troops have excellent training. They are performing with dignity their duty, fighting with determination, fearlessly, to the end.
Comrade officers, the developments of the past years show that we are in the top tier in the world in terms of combat readiness,

a security guard at El Camino high in Whittier east of Los Angeles overheard
the 17 year old student on Friday threatened to open fire in a matter of
weeks the sheriff said the weapons found at the team's home included two ar-15
rifles and 90 high-capacity magazines McDonald called the school security
officer Moreno Chavez an unsung hero for alerting authorities source Fox News
Believe It or Not this student wanted to harm his classmates over a disagreement
about headphones his teacher reprimanded him for bringing electronics in D class
that inspired him to want to kill clearly this young man has serious
problems who knows what he could have accomplished had Chavez not intervened
the security guard overheard comments made by the young man when he confronted
him about it the student said there would be a school shooting and a matter
of weeks Chavez said the teen said he'd been
kidding but he still brought the youth to the main office to report the
incident there was swift action that could have possibly prevented a tragic
event he said at a news conference adding that he was just doing my job the
student who has not been identified because he is a minor was arrested on
charges of making criminal threats according to McDonald source Fox News
because this man took the right steps they were able to prevent another
horrific event this young man was most certainly not kidding the police were
able to take the necessary steps to investigate and they found the proof he
was planning to kill they found numerous weapons at his home including handguns
and ar-15s what's also interesting about this case is that it looks like some of
the weapons were not legally acquired the boys 28 year old brother was
arrested on separate weapons charges which implies he was not following
California's very strict gun laws yet he was still able to get his hands on
powerful firearms this proves that gun laws do nothing to protect our schools
but an alert proactive security guard yep that does the trick
once again the student had a suspicious history one that had been previously
ignored the student has previously faced disciplinary action at the school and
was previously suspected of saying he wanted an administration dead in that
incident the sheriff said the boy's mother told police her son had issues
but was not a threat source Fox News this sounds like a very similar
circumstance to the one in Florida Nicholas Cruz the accused shooter had a
history of problems yet his family denied the warning signs it was much the
same in this case sadly families can't always be relied
to hold their children accountable denial is a powerful thing nobody wants
to admit that their son is dangerous thankfully this security guard
intervened before it was too late it is proof that vigilant citizens and law
enforcement can make a difference where gun was fail as the anti-gun left is

• Tay-Sachs disease is a serious disorder that destroys neurons in your brain and spinal
cord.
It affects motor skills first, preventing babies from turning over or crawling.
• Later, it can cause seizures, vision and hearing loss, and paralysis.
• Most infants with Tay-Sachs disease only live into early childhood.
But some rare forms can develop later in life, with much less severe symptoms.So maybe you
can have it and still be watching this.
But hopefully you don't.
9 –Usher Syndrome • Usher syndrome is a hereditary disease
that affects your vision, hearing and balance.
It is present in about 3 to 6 percent of all children with hearing or vision loss.
• Most children with Usher syndrome will be completely or mostly deaf from birth, as
a result of abnormalities in the inner ear.
• Those abnormalities also affect the part of the inner ear responsible for balance.
• Usher syndrome has a less-severe but still notable affect on vision as well, causing
night blindness and progressively worse tunnel vision with age.
• Usher syndrome is a genetic disorder, but it's a hidden one – parents can be
carriers for the disorder without actually having it themselves.
8 –Huntington's Disease • Like Tay-Sachs disease, Huntington's
Disease attacks the neurons in the brain.
• But it's far from the same disease.
For starters, Huntington's Disease most commonly sets in well into adulthood, often
in the 30s and 40s.
• And where Tay-Sachs attacks motor functions and physical abilities, Huntington's hits
those and also brings cognitive and psychiatric disorders.
• Depression, insomnia, lack of focus, reckless impulsiveness, learning disorders and difficulty
processing thoughts or words.
• Bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder are also closely-related to Huntington's
disease.
7 –Sickle Celldisease • Sickle Cell disease is a mutation of red
blood cells, in which they take on a crescent or "sickle" shape, instead of the usual
round shape.
• This results in the red blood cells not being able to carry enough oxygen, or getting
stuck in narrow blood vessels because of their shape.
Sickle cells generally only live 10 to 20 days, as compared to 90 to 120 days for regular
blood cells.
• As a result, the body tends to destroy red blood cells faster than it can make new
ones, resulting in anemia, and potentially leading to stroke, swelling, and vision problems.
• This is a hereditary condition that tends to primary affect people of color.
But thanks to advances in diagnosis and treatments, the average lifespan of someone with sickle
cell disease has increased from about 14 years old in 1973, to about 60 years old today.
6 –Hemophilia • A form of hemophilia, specifically hemophilia
B, is also known as Christmas Disease.
• And what does Christmas Disease do?
Why, it makes you bleed uncontrollably, and sometimes for no reason at all!
• Merry Christmas!
• Actually, the disease is named for Stephen Christmas, the first man diagnosed with the
disease in 1952, and it occurs when the body produces little or none of the materials your
blood needs to clot properly.
5 –Marfan Syndrome • Marfan syndrome is a condition with no
cure, but it can be managed, and most people with it go on to lead normal, healthy lives.
• Marfan syndrome is a disorder that affects the body's connective tissue, causing it
to overproduce certain types of proteins.
This causes a number of different effects in the body, including a lengthening of many
of the bodies' joints.
• This can result in people having unusually long, slender arms and legs, being unusually
tall, or even having problems with speaking or vision due to a misshapen facial structure.
• About 3 out of 4 people with Marfan syndrome inherit it from their parents, but it is possible
to be born with it spontaneously.
It's a condition that always begins at birth, but usually the symptoms of it don't appear
for years.
4 –Color blindness • Color blindness is a genetic disorder
particularly common to people with Northern European ancestry.
• And specifically, it's far more common in men.
In fact, among men with Northern European heritage, as many as 8 percent have red-green
color blindness, compared to only point-5 percent of women.
• That's because the genes responsible for inherited color-blindness are in the X-chromosome.
Men have only one X chromosome, so if it contains the faulty genes, the colorblindness will
set in.
• However, women have two X chromosomes, and for them to inherit color blindness, BOTH
would need to contain the faulty genes.
If the faulty gene is only present in one of those X chromosomes, the other, normal
one will compensate for the deficiency.
3 –Fragile X Syndrome • Fragile X syndrome is another chromosomal
disorder, and it's a rather literal name.
• It occurs when the x chromosome is, literally, fragile.
The X has a point towards the end that is deformed, leading to moderate intellectual
disabilities, including features on the autism spectrum.
• Like colorblindness, it affects mostly men.
In fact, only about one-third of women with Fragile X experience any symptoms from it
at all, compared to almost every man.
2 –Cystic Fibrosis • At one point, cystic fibrosis was a fatal
childhood illness.
It's a condition that causes increasingly severe damage to the respiratory and digestive
systems.
• Because the condition causes the body to create a thick, sticky mucus, it creates
problems with breathing, blocking the airwaves.
• It later builds up in the lungs and pancreas, and can even cause blockages in the intestines.
• But screening for cystic fibrosis in newborns is now a standard practice, and early detection
has drastically improved treatment and life expectancy.
• Rather than dying as teens, some people born with cystic fibrosis can now live into
their 40s and 50s. 1 -Phenylketonuria
• Like cystic fibrosis, signs of phenylketonuria, or PKU, are screened for in newborns.
• And while it is a chronic condition that can't be cured, it can be managed to the
point where major health complications can be prevented.
• The condition causes certain amino acids in the blood to not break down properly, and
they can build up to toxic levels if not managed properly.
• This can lead to intellectual disabilities, psychiatric disorders, delayed physical development,
and an abnormally small head.
• People with PKU have to manage it their entire lives, largely through a diet with
very little protein.
Proteins are what cause the amino acids to build.

meeting with some of the survivors of the Florida school shooting, liberals spotted
that he had written "I hear you" in his notes, and they immediately attacked.
However, while they were busy disgracing the nation's president, here's the one thing
they missed.During a listening session held at the White House, President Donald Trump
let the students, families, and teachers from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School take
center stage to express their concerns.
However, during the event, Getty Images photographer Chip Somodevilla took a photo that captured
a few of the President's talking points, which he had written down on a notecard.Like
always, liberals attacked like vultures, claiming that President Trump has no real empathy because
of three words they saw in his notes: "I hear you."
There were a total of five talking points, but not all of them were entirely visible
in the photos.
According to Pix 11 and a little bit of research, some of the prompts included:As soon as the
anti-Trump crowd saw what he had written, they immediately began to attack him for being
insensitive, even though he didn't appear to use the visible prompts.
Instead, he listened and cast a tender tone, but this only infuriated his critics even
more.
"We're fighting hard for you, and we will not stop," Trump said.
"I just grieve for you, I feel so — to me, there could be nothing worse than what
you've gone through."
He continued, "Thank you for pouring out your hearts because the world is watching,
and we're going to come up with a solution."Sadly, liberals didn't hesitate to say some nasty
things to and about our current Commander-in-Chief.
"At Trump's 'Listening Sesson' today….
For him to have to write down 'I hear you' as one of his notes is kind of troubling,"
one social media user wrote.Personally, I don't think the notes were there because
he needed to be reminded to be empathetic.
President Trump knows that these people have just been through the most tragic and horrifying
incident of their lives and the last thing he wants to do is to hurt them in any way
further.
His emotion during the event was pure.
In fact, he was only briefed moments before and he chose to have no teleprompter.
As he sat there hearing the grievances of these broken individuals, he just listened.
When he did talk, "he asked those in the room what they want him to know about their
experience and what they think needs to be done," as Inquisitr reports.
He was genuinely asking and gave them nothing but his respect in return.
Thankfully, several other social media users saw right through the typical liberal outrage
and defended the president.
"Why do they need to debate?
Can't we just have a national moment where the survivors talk and we all sit there & listen
to them?
Don't they deserve that & wouldn't we all benefit from it.
Like Trump's notes say, I hear you," Joyce Alene tweeted."During Trump's Listening
Session he had a thing of notes and what he was going to ask people and of course the
left is attacking him for that," a Twitter user said.

They don't give this man a break!
What more do you losers want!?"Twitter user "Dave" pointed out the obvious problem
with the left's outrage, stating, "Literally for generations we've watched late night
hosts use these same notes, nobody ever zoomed in for a gotcha moment.
The reason it's being done now is because Trump is a threat to CNN.It's time people
stop focusing on Donald Trump's perceived faults and start using their energy to come
up with a way to work together as a nation.
Can you imagine the progress that could be made if the left put the energy they use to
look for fake problems with Trump to actually look for solutions to real issues?Regardless
of whether they approve of what the current president is doing, he is here for several
more years.
Until he's gone, it's time we all start doing two simple things; namely, show respect
for one another and make America great.

in the photos.

As soon as the anti-Trump crowd saw what he had written, they immediately began to attack
him for being insensitive, even though he didn't appear to use the visible prompts.
Instead, he listened and cast a tender tone, but this only infuriated his critics even
more.
"We're fighting hard for you, and we will not stop," Trump said.
"I just grieve for you, I feel so — to me, there could be nothing worse than what
you've gone through."
He continued, "Thank you for pouring out your hearts because the world is watching,
and we're going to come up with a solution."
Sadly, liberals didn't hesitate to say some nasty things to and about our current Commander-in-Chief.

one social media user wrote.

Personally, I don't think the notes were there because he needed to be reminded to
be empathetic.
President Trump knows that these people have just been through the most tragic and horrifying
incident of their lives and the last thing he wants to do is to hurt them in any way
further.
His emotion during the event was pure.
In fact, he was only briefed moments before and he chose to have no teleprompter.
As he sat there hearing the grievances of these broken individuals, he just listened.
When he did talk, "he asked those in the room what they want him to know about their
experience and what they think needs to be done," as Inquisitr reports.
He was genuinely asking and gave them nothing but his respect in return.
Thankfully, several other social media users saw right through the typical liberal outrage
and defended the president.
"Why do they need to debate?
Can't we just have a national moment where the survivors talk and we all sit there & listen
to them?
Don't they deserve that & wouldn't we all benefit from it.
Like Trump's notes say, I hear you," Joyce Alene tweeted.
"During Trump's Listening Session he had a thing of notes and what he was going to
ask people and of course the left is attacking him for that," a Twitter user said.
"I'm so sick of the way these gross liberals treat President Trump!
They don't give this man a break!
What more do you losers want!?"
Twitter user "Dave" pointed out the obvious problem with the left's outrage, stating,
"Literally for generations we've watched late night hosts use these same notes, nobody
ever zoomed in for a gotcha moment.
The reason it's being done now is because Trump is a threat to CNN
It's time people stop focusing on Donald Trump's perceived faults and start using
their energy to come up with a way to work together as a nation.
Can you imagine the progress that could be made if the left put the energy they use to
look for fake problems with Trump to actually look for solutions to real issues?
Regardless of whether they approve of what the current president is doing, he is here
for several more years.
Until he's gone, it's time we all start doing two simple things; namely, show respect
for one another and make America great.

so tonight I had work and then I had just like this overwhelming feeling of
exhaustion hit me so I went to the grocery store I saw that they had my
favorite cut of New York strip style steak and I got that so I got three of
them but I was just so so tired like just not in the mood to eat like not
even in the mood to eat steak just that tired so usually I eat three to four
steaks at a time but I decided just to put one steak on the grill skill and you
know I was like okay well time to eat it oh my gosh I had one bite and I just
mauled it like MALDI and I was so disappointed like I could have you know
I didn't I should have expected this from me when I come in contact mistake
like I just felt like I knew myself better to know that and then the fact
that I you know gave myself one steak instead of three I could have been three
steaks so incredibly fast like you know I'm like more disappointed in myself
then I was at me getting something wrong on HQ trivia like it's bad but if you

my car nobody's here to help me and so like over there that is actually my
jacket wrapped up in a scraper so I can reach over to that window and because oh

I need to be for work but I had oh my god like so it's been an hour since I've
been in my car even that's not all the way clear in the back not all the way
clear like this is how is it this hot outside that it's not matching to work I

a cold I ended up arriving 30 minutes late to work but you know I'm not
somebody where we shows up late so like that's like hardly ever me so I called

so and it was really cold as soon as I went outside so I think the
issue was that I had it too hot in my car the temperature like I needed to

when I stepped out of the car because it was so cold I was all wet
so got even colder but whatever and now I got off at 9 and now I think it's like
11 because you know do you ever have it especially just you know when you're
tired and it's late you just get home and you do nothing like you're totally
fine what you're staring at a wall whatever but yeah I was checking on this
and it looks so pink but yeah I don't I don't know if this is really gross but
I'm just gonna tell you it because I'm not gonna be that gross and show you it
because it's too late but I always get really excited whenever this happens
because I get a scab I'm like super bad about this
so the first scab appeared and I got really excited so I picked it and when I
pulled it up like there was like this tail of like tissue like from deep
within and so that came out and immediately it was like a pop like it
was just waiting to burst out this orange goo it was great
like oh my gosh so we'll see like in an hour if something else fun appears for
me to tamper with mom's gonna be really mad maybe I should just be good and
teach myself a lesson and put straight-up hydrogen peroxide on it or
alcohol so you know I can just deal with the burning pain and never want to deal
with that again and maybe I just won't pick it anything in my life or we could
just keep this a secret between you and me and I'm gonna keep picking these
scabs but I'm gonna make sure that it's not infected you know I'm gonna be good
about that like wash my hands sterilize them at put on gloves and be like time
to pick my scab so I gotta go make my stakes cuz I have two more stages to go
and got to put you know I'll show you my
steaks but then I got to put my phone down cuz I eat those with my hands I
think I said I was gonna show you my steak well I forgot to but this is the
remainder of my steak and because I eat it with my hands like you can still see
that they're kind of shiny from the grease but that doesn't stop me from
still being on YouTube so I have grease all over this and I'm disgusting

The following day, he received a call and to his surprise the bank had managed to find
out who used the ATM before him.
They discovered that the money belonged to a 92 year-old lady by the name of Edith as
she had forgotten to take it from the machine When she found out that Bobby had the money,
she was overjoyed and even offered to give him her last $20 as a reward.
She had withdrawn the money to pay for her rent and only had $20 to last her the month.
Bobby of course refused to take the money and even though he doesn't have much money
himself, immediately called the bank and asked them to deposit $200 of his own money into
her account so she could afford some food to eat.
When Bobby's colleague heard what he'd done, he also decided to help and chipped
in $100.
Not only that, but when the bank manager told his team the story, they also decided to help
and raised a further $200 for Edith.
