If You're an Empath, You Might Also Have a Sense of Not Belonging

Empaths are gifted people who have capability in reading minds, emotion, and behavior.

Regardless of their great ability, it is common for empaths to be left behind with no words.

They really can be isolated and even avoided by many people because empaths are extremely

different from common people.

There are some reasons why empaths feel that way.

First of all, it is all about how empaths perceive the world.

Empaths have different ideas on how this world works.

They realize that we are living in lies.

Many people lie in front of empaths, and they keep telling the wrong things as if nothing

happened.

Empaths understand and know this.

However, they cannot do anything because they know the effect will be bad.

Sometimes, this confusion leads nowhere.

It makes empaths feel helpless because they cannot accept the facts that people around

them are liars.

It is inevitable, and it is incurable in some sort.

It is absolutely problematic issue that empaths constantly experience, and it makes empaths

feel detached from others.

The empaths also withdraw from that kind of community because they know it will affect

them in the long run.

Therefore, it keeps the empaths away from people.

Although, deep inside they want to fix this condition, and they start to figure out how

by themselves.

They really cannot trust people around them because they are consumed by lies.

Secondly, empaths are looking for the real truth that other people are not willing to

seek.

Empaths always want to know and learn about the purpose of life.

This allows the empaths to help others in need.

We'll know that people are different, and so do the empaths.

They want to be the best mediator that make other people feel happier through the righteous

path.

It is true that not all people seek happiness with the proper method.

Some of them will do anything just for their happiness without considering the effects

to other people and surrounding environment.

It is definitely not a good idea, and that is why empaths want them to walk into the

right direction.

However, in the process, the empaths are always troubled because they understand that people

are different.

They cannot just force people to do things that we all want.

This is when the empaths start to rethink and start worrying about themselves.

The effect is that the empaths withdraw themselves because of exhaustion.

Talking about exhaustion, empaths are best known for the place for dumping troubles.

They listen to problems a lot and they offer solution.

They sometimes also talk to stranger knowing that she is having a bad day.

This causes the empaths to spend their energy for helping those people.

When they are emotionally exhausted, they need to withdraw from society, and they do

not feel belong to that community.

They like living alone especially after they are trying to heal themselves.

Recovery process takes time, and it is absolutely not ideal for empaths because it makes them

detached from people around them.

Well, that's the reason why empaths have such a strong sense of not belonging.

I am feeling good! Usually I ride in the known area

But today I got to explore the new area. I have never come till Mt. Mary

But you need a company for that. It's always better to have a company than ride solo when going to a new place

I used to go 1km but I dint dare to go beyond that

but now I feel confident

So, yesterday we went to Juhu. Carter road and Bandstand before that

And Bandstand today as well. So which is your favorite place ? Any memories about the particular place?

You can't decide a favorite place because every place has its own speciality

Yes! It was a different experience

But today I have done stretching in the morning. So hopefully I dont get the after effects!

during my college days I used to go to Irani Hotels

The ride was good. It feels like I have achieved something

There is consistency in us. We are going every Saturday-Sunday and we should maintain that!

Meaning is a Jumper That You Have to Knit Yourself - Duration: 9:43.

This is Viktor Frankl

He was a neurologist and a psychiatrist he lived through the concentration camps of the Second World War

He survived starvation slave labor watched countless people die

You know what the concentration camps were we went all on it.

Anyway, during that time he had a revelation which was, this:

Humans are an animal driven by purpose, above all we strive for a sense of meaning in our lives

And if we don't get it we get extremely extremely sad and by the time I finished ranting at you today

I hope you will agree with this, too

For the longest time a good day for a human consisted of finding food, finding water, and not getting fucking eaten and even though

Hunter-gatherers probably have more free time than we do chances are the focus of their lives was to stay alive

Next, we developed a civilization and along came organized religion

I'm not shitting on religion here believe whatever you like, but whether the notorious

G.O.D does exist or not it arguably gave humans a purpose in the universe; we were special, we were loved

(sometimes)

and we actually meant something in the grand scheme of things

Lately though things are getting a bit complicated

If you're listening to this there's a very strong chance you will never live through a war directly,

you will never experience prolonged starvation

or have to worry about getting access to clean drinking water

I say this not to guilt you

But just to point out how much has changed for lots of us

however,

whereas before the purpose of one's life was focused around not getting dead or

Remembering to worship the God of your choice today lots of us have more time to think about life

And we still don't have an agreed sense of what we're doing here

There is a shadow in the background of modern life. It is best described as having enough food,

Hopefully having enough money to live on,

Not needing to worry about lions,

And still being sure that some vital thing is missing

And that missing thing Viktor Frankl argued is meaning.

Frankl noticed that lots of his patients had the sensation of total meaninglessness in their lives

He called this the existential vacuum

When I got my cap I asked the vet:

"What do cats need please?"

And she said: "food, water and fuzz."

I give her these things and she seems as far as I can tell pretty cool with the whole arrangement

At no point has she demanded to know the purpose of her existence or the correct interpretation of quantum mechanics

It doesn't seem that easy to satisfy humans though, because we are very very clever animals (with some exceptions)

And oh look!

It's half-past-pop-psychology o'clock

Maybe you know about Maslow's hierarchy of needs it's not accepted by everyone, but it's a pretty good rough guide

So we're fairly sure humans need basic stuff first; food, water, sleep

Then security and safety and no getting numbed by lions, yes

Then belonging and love as in family intimate relations,

Then self-esteem to be respected to be appreciated and then finally

Self-actualization or becoming that thing one actually wants to be.

Lots of humans it seems, are somewhere between here and here

Hopefully lots of us are living in relative safety, and that's grand

But the general message of 21st century life for being self actualized at least in some parts of the world is

Make-de-moneyz or buy lots of property or something and then you'll miraculously be happy and fulfilled

Well, nothing wrong with money or houses,

But it seems pretty evidential that is not enough for purpose and happiness in itself

A few recent studies hinted that having money does actually make you happier

Unless you win the lottery, interestingly

Then you're probably fucked, link below.

But there does seem to be a limit

A Princeton study a while ago suggested that above about $75,000 dollars happiness and well-being doesn't increase that much

above a certain threshold of being able to support yourself and your family

Most humans don't get too much happier above that with money alone,

So something else is required for happiness..

Happiness is one of the few things humans try to achieve for its own sake

But there's a problem with happiness

Which is the most of us seem to behave thinking well when I bought, finished, driven, built, completed X

I'll just be happy forever and nothing will ever hurt again

If you've ever tried being human you may have noticed that this is not how happiness works, ever

Usually over a long enough period of time humans revert back to their baseline hedonic setpoint their default happiness position

This is called the hedonic treadmill, and it's a fundamental shit part of the human condition

But what's interesting is that there doesn't seem to be a meaning treadmill in the same way

For example: one of the most significant life events for lots of humans will be having more humans, eventually

And parenting itself seems to start off feeling pretty cool

But gets a bit fucking stressful for about 20 years and in those 20 years even though the euphoria dies off

And many parents at times wish to eat their young the feeling of purpose does not die off

This also appears to apply to long-term relationships that work,

and professions people genuinely, actually, enjoy there may be difficult weeks or months

But overall if it's in line with what an individual actually wants, inherently

Then the thing continues to be meaningful for a long time

Possibly even for life.

Meaning seems like a far more sustainable goal than happiness

And according to what we know so far, if you have the first, the second often follows

Even in hard times

Years ago I had a shit temp job in an office

And I spent the entire time being incompetent and fantasizing about getting out and my boss who was a nice lady

Seemed genuinely happy filling in spreadsheets and playing solitaire when the big boss wasn't looking and she was very clever

So one day I asked her why she liked working there,

And she said that when she was little she used the dream about working in an office

and having a desk and going to the Coffee machine blah blah

and now she was living the dream

And I realized at that moment just how different humans' motivations can be.

If working there was in line with what she wanted to do, and she was happy doing it,

Which she was, then who the hell was I to tell her otherwise?

Unfortunately, humans are not cats and food and water and fuss just ain't gonna

Cut it most of us seem to want to be trying at something we enjoy

But the spectrum of human enjoyment is so vast

It's ridiculous, so there's not going to be some magical human science that says

"Alright you fucks, everyone eat five creme eggs a day, learn the accordion, get a job as a telephone sanitizer and then you'll find purpose in life"

It's something a lot more complicated than that

And Victor Frankl's position was that finding an individual sense of meaning is a journey the individual has to undertake alone

Sometimes you come across people who are much older than you, but a still self-centered or compulsive liars or whatever?

And it's worrying because you assumed if you just live long enough your work shed out and stuff will be fine

And here's someone who lived a long time and somehow is still an awful person

One day I was talking to a Buddhist nun about this,

And she said "well obviously, you have to try it, being wise, or you'll spend your whole life never growing,

Meaning is a jumper that you have to knit, yourself."

that seemed quite clever and quite true.

Oh ey uh..

Jumper is a sweater to those of you living in certain breakaway British territories. What what?

Where we are now might be part of a huge experiment in human history

Which is give some people miraculous technology give them education

And mars bars and VR and see if that provides them with a purpose in life

for some of them, lots of them, It doesn't seem to

The question then is "Yeah yeah, thanks for the technology and the education and everything,

But life still feels empty on some level for some of us, and what the hell do we do now, please?"

Every age has its trials; the existential vacuum might be ours,

If you take away the constant threat of death,

Purpose is given back to the individual and that's bad and that's good.

if one actually pursues some individual sense of meaning whether it be in love or work or whatever

That's grant if not an entire lifetime can be spent and many have been spent doing nothing about it

The game of life begins with you appearing on the outskirts of this huge dark forest

You ask a few people what we're all doing here, but no one, including your parents or teachers really has a clue

Now you're told that inside the forest is real life

And if you go in you'll have to do battle with all sorts of monsters like: loneliness,

Everything feeling futile, shit jobs, people being vindictive, your own limitations,

Not knowing what you inherently want, worrying about income,

Worrying about disease, The death of people close to you,

Universal human stuff, right?

But facing up to it actually saying fuck you I'm gonna learn or make or become whatever it is

We'll just refuse to die on the inside despite living in a universe that is clearly not kind and where suffering is inevitable

That might be the only way of achieving some sense of individual meaning

What's that Ray Bradbury line?

Ask no guarantees, ask for no security

that never was such an animal and if there were, it would be related to the great sloth

Which hangs upside down in a tree all day every day sleeping its life away

Just being alive in the first place is fucking ridiculous,

And it's amazing that most of us are even keeping it together, at all

It's one thing to get called into creation without being asked first,

It's an insult to injury to then be expected on top of that to work out what the hell you're doing here in the first (second) place

And I think there's a pretty good chance that Viktor Frankl and a bunch of others have already shown us how to beat that problem

Purpose seems to be personal, it comes from the inside from a sense of enjoying one's work from living around people one actually loves from

Striving to know even if only in a small human way for a short human time what we're even doing here in the first place

Individually,

if not that then what the hell was the point in being here?

And if that feels like a challenge,

well that's to be expected because everyone else is playing the same game

Whether they admit it or not however much older however much more powerful they might be.

What is it with these pricks one meets at parties sometimes who claims they've got it all worked out,

Are you serious !?

Have you even noticed where you are!?

You're finally just being called into creation are you?

You're all right with just popping down the shop for an ice-cream and pretending anything makes sense.

Are you fucking kidding me!?

Oh, yeah, welcome to existence; everything is confusing, the universe is actively hostile,

And you don't even know what the conditions for your own happiness are,

Oh, by the way, you're sentient meat standing on a living spaceship (!)

Best of luck coming to terms with that one,

Yeah

Like getting very confused about all this isn't entirely natural for literally everyone

Like we have anything more here than just each other,

No one knows what they're doing

Everybody shits

and really,

No one knows what they're doing

And that's alright.

That's to be expected

Knit your own meaning jumper if you can, lots of other humans did

And it seemed to work out for them

Cool,

Rant over...

Good luck with your fucking lives then

oh

What's that? it's the Prince of milf, that book I wrote ages go out as a paperback finally

You can get it on Amazon if you want

It's a story about what happens when the gods misbehave

Basically, it has a new cover a new introduction and you can actually hold it in your hands and shit

Baiiiiiii

We Have to Decide What's Important - Duration: 6:23.

Hey this is the Daily Overpass, my name is Eric and I make apps!

Now today, i wanna talk about how we have to decide what's important.

Alright! So today I wanna talk about what's important.

Oh, first of all!

Thanks everyone for liking and subscribing and even disliking, it really helps!

I really appreciate you taking that extra effort to reach down there and click on those

things.

So, I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my birthday is at the end of July, July

30th.

In fact, I know that I've mentioned this before because I did a video last July 30th when

we did the daily video.

But, I also mentioned last July on my birthday that I share the birthday with a lot of famous

people - I mean we all do.

I don't know if you guys have ever done that, where you look at your birthday and what other

celebrities have the same birthday?!

I share my birthday - July 30th - with Arnold Schwarzenegger!

I know, you can see it, right?!

It's so obvious!

I learned this when i was a teenager, you know when you look at those things...I was

really big into entertainment and all that stuff, and movies and everything, I still

kind of am but not obsessive like I used to be!

So, I learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger and I have the same birthday, and every time I

read a horoscope ever since then, and i'm not a big reader of horoscopes, I'm not a

believer, but it's fun.

So, whenever I read a horoscope i think, "hey, you know what?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, having the same birthday as me, has the same horoscope as I do.

So we're kinda linked in a way, right?

So when I'm having a bad day, he's having a bad day...when I'm having a good day, he's

having a good day.

If I have a really good day at Ad Mob, he's probably having a really good day with real

estate, financial stuff, signing a book deal, probably a much bigger day than I do."

But we have out good days right.

And I think, when i don't feel like going to the gym, he probably doesn't feel like

going to the gym.

Now, the big difference between me and Arnie when it comes to that...he still goes!

If I don't feel like going to the gym, I will talk myself out of it.

I try not to, but you know! if you look at my gym-going routine, it looks like my app

retention report on Google Play or Firebase Analytics.

Monday - very strong, Tuesday - not so much, Wednesday - hmmmm, by Friday it's petered

out and I'll start again next week!

I need to work on that.

But the big thing is, going to the gym is not as important to me as it is to Arnold

Schwarzenegger, I'm sure.

Because that's part of his identity, and when he started out, it was something he had to

make important.

If you've ever read his autobiography 'Total Recall', it's really good.

I listened to it at the gym last year when I was going to the gym, it was like 20 hours

long but it's really good.

But doing that's not important.

Some of the things that are important to me that aren't important to a lot of people are

doing the daily video.

It's something that I know that I have to get done each day.

When I started doing the videos, I thought "I have to make this important, otherwise

I'll give up.

I'll give up as soon as it gets hard.

As soon as I can't think of anything to say, I'll give up - I have to make this important

to me."

With the apps, definitely.

I had to release that first app and I said "this has to have importance to me, even when

it doesn't look like it's paying off."

It's having that faith in it. And it's something that you see, a lot of people give up on this

kind of stuff all the time, you know, they'll start a blog, they'll start a social media

campaign or something like that.

They'll release an app - how many app developers do you know who have given up?

I know too many!

I know too many who have given up, and sometimes it's because they're not getting the numbers

that they think.

They're not getting the numbers that they expect.

So many people, even some of my clients, they release an app and they're expecting to get

instagram numbers or snapchat numbers, or angry birds numbers, and I think, that's not

gonna happen!

Even though I tell them at the beginning, you know what?

Building the application, that's the easy part!

Marketing it and getting it out in front of people, that's the hard part! you need to

make that your focus, and the hard thing about making that important, is that you're the

only one who sees it.

You're the only one who knows that that has to be done!

We're getting to the point now where we're getting a lot more subscribers, we're getting

a lot more people watching on the videos and everything like that, where people are starting

to see it.

Where it wasn't just me who says "I do this video every day, and we talk about apps and

everything."

They say "Oh yeah, interesting, whatever...I don't know why you do that, how you can keep

it up...", but now it's starting to snowball a little bit, it's starting to get a bit more

traction and people see it, but it's hard to go through that bit where you're the only

one who believes.

Because you're the only one who makes it important, and there's some things you do in life that

you just have to think: This is important to me and I have to make this important.

And some things it's easy, because other people can see the reason for it, like my children

are important, or my relationships are important, or my job is important.

Everyone says "oh that makes sense", but when you say "I've got this app on the app store

and it's really important, it's important to me to make sure all of the links are going

in the right places.

It's important to me to make sure I go onto social media and talk about it, it's important

to me that I put these ads through, that I pay for these ads to go through and build

up that following.

It's important for me to release a new version in the next five days!"

😬 I Have a "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" to Make!🎆Jessa Duggar - Duration: 3:42.

Attention, good people of the Internet.

Jessa Duggar would like your attention.

The veteran reality star took to her Instagram Stories page on Friday and addressed the elephant

in the room, which isn't really an accurate description of the rumors surrounding Jessa

these days.

It's more apt to say she addressed the alleged fetus in the womb.

Indeed, chatter has been ongoing for weeks now that Jessa is pregnant with her third

child , despite already have a two-year old and a one-year old at home.

This would be an unusual development for some women... but for a Duggar woman?

No judgment or anything, you just never know with this family.

"Jessa is definitely pregnant and will be making an announcement in April," a source

close to the family told five weeks ago.

Lo and behold, it is now April -- and Duggar did just jump on social media to say she has

a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

She's really expecting again?!?!?!?!?!?

No.

"Bc I've been asked if I'm hiding a bit of a bump… BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Yes!"

Duggar captioned a photo of herself in a baggy sweatshirt yesterday, adding:

"But it's currently a shrinking bump rather than a growing one. #postpartum #baggyshirts

#thanksforasking."

Oh.

Jessa gave birth to a son named Henry on February 7 of last year and also has a toddler named

Spurgeon at home with husband Ben Seewald.

It wouldn't surprise us one bit if the couple eventually adds to its brood with another

boy or girl, but not this soon.

Heck, Jessa may not be anxious to keep cranking out kids at all if she's gonna keep getting

dragged online for the most basic of acts.

Shortly before she joked around on Instagram, Jessa posted a video of her young sons running

around outside without shoes on.

"Toddlers. So cute to watch them discover all the little details in their world!" Jessa

captioned the VERY innocent video.

And then she sat back and watched and horrible trolls yelled at her for being a bad mother

because the kids weren't wearing shoes.

You tell us: Did Jessa deserve crap for this footage?

In a new TLC video, it's true that Jessa beamed as her younger sister described her

experiences as a first-time expectant mother.

"It's so much fun talking to Jinger," said Jessa, adding:

"She's been going through this pregnancy journey and she's been drawing out all of the different

things she's experiencing."

Jessa also joked that her sibling better make sure to "enjoy those extra calories!"

Does this mean she's anxious to get pregnant herself and gobble up as much food as possible?

Not really. Don't be fooled.

"There's days where it feels like we have just hardly any time in the evening together,"

Jessa said in a Counting On preview in response to Ben mentioning having another child.

Again, we're certain this will happen someday.

But that day is not today. We doubt it will be tomorrow, either.

Oh my god, John Leguizamo is the Hulk?! Holy shit!

Hi, I'm Mercedes

Camille

Andy

Kavish

Melissa

Carly

Matt

and I've never seen

'Avengers.'

This is so exciting.

I think 'Avengers' is about

Scarlett Johansson and her friends.

A mashup of a lot of movies,

maybe two.

I heard Iron Man is part of it.

Or three?

Grown men, grown women, dressed up,

Avenging something.

I have no idea.

What is that?

That is a big-ass snake.

Who's that guy? He looks very normal.

Is that John Leguizamo?

I'm always angry.

Is he a super– He's Hulk!

Oh my god, John Leguizamo is the Hulk?! Holy Shit!

No!

That makes me like the Hulk more.

This is so many people that I enjoy in normal movies.

And then all the robotic people are like pissed as hell.

Mark Ruffalo has it in him, guys.

I feel so heroic with this music.

This shot is iconic, right? It's in all the trailers; they always do it.

[Off Camera] Are you sure that was John Leguizamo?

Was it? Was it not?

Who the f*ck is that?

I love that Mark Ruffalo was Hulk.

It's hammer time.

Oh, shit.

Hulk smash.

Oh my god.

Is this Peter Pan?

That guy is Dracula?

This guy gets memed a lot.

Oh, he's [a] meme, 'He's a God.'

I am a God you dull creature, and I will not be bullied.

Oh my God, Jesus.

Oh!

You go, Mark.

Kids watch this?

He said 'it's over' for that talk. Okay!

This is not PG-13.

Puny god.

Shit.

Did I just watch that guy die?

I didn't know the Hulk was so mean, I thought he was nice?

Why did he kill him? Mark is super nice.

I don't want to watch this movie anymore.

Oh damn, in a chair?

I was right, hot people.

She's kind of intense, okay.

Woah, that would have broken her back.

She is kicking ass! Go woman!

Is this rich guy listening?

Loving the red hair.

She has never been hotter than this moment.

So who is she, is that Superwoman?

She's Wonder Woman.

She probably got in bangin' shape.

Oh, the heels. Classy.

Good for her.

Each superhero, they all have their own kingdom.

This guy made an army of evil robots.

So that's why they called Superman. And Hulk, my guy.

And then a lot of shit gets destroyed, taxpayer dollars down the drain.

And so, they band together and beat the evil dinosaur robots.

I think the leader of the Avengers is definitely Captain America.

Like, that's for sure.

Honestly, I would do what Chris Evans told me to do.

Who is this?

If you were to pay me a million dollars and ask me who this person was,

I would have no idea.

Umm.

What is…

Who's this guy? Is this guy in the movie?

Like, does he even matter?

Nobody would know...

Avengers, assemble!

Assemble!

Assemble!

Assemble!

Assemble.

Assemble!

Assemble!

Avengers...

HAVE YOU SPIRITUALLY OUTGROWN THE MATRIX YET - Duration: 4:20.

HAVE YOU SPIRITUALLY OUTGROWN THE MATRIX YET

BY Dylan Charles

Information is only valuable if it can be used to advance your life in some meaningful

way. If it doesnt serve that purpose, then it is just a distraction from living.

And the crux of the matrix is distraction.

When youre distracted from creating and living a meaningful and positive life, the

matrix wins. When youve no time to give to imagining what this life might look like

or feel like if you were in control, the matrix wins.

Its not that the matrix is a top-down conspiracy led by a round table of cigar smoking suits.

Its really a system of compliance, complacency and comfort. In other words, we all contribute

to it in our own way. With our own free will, we all put bricks in this wall, because its

what everyone else is doing, and we feel like its what we should also be doing.

This is the whole paradigm of consumer living, celebrity culture, the endless drama of political

spectacle, and the endless desire to stand out in the herd. Think of the social media

corral and what a waste of energy all that is.

If youre paying attention to your life, though, you eventually see through this.

All of the conspiracy theories, bad news, world events, suppressed history, and collective

speculation at some point must be recognized as necessary stepping-stones on your way to

total awakening.

Their purpose in your soul journey is to jolt you out of contemporary consciousness and

get you looking at the reality of your life, the brevity of it, and the pressing need to

move on with being yourself in spite of any and all forces that wish to conquer and control

your spirit.

Its a process of outgrowing the matrix, and if youre really paying attention youll

instinctively know when its time to jump ship and move beyond these narratives and

false realities. Your intuition will tell you when youve had enough and when its

time to move on.

Carl Jungs work details a process he referred to as individuation, which is a keen way of

looking at this. The matrix is the group and we are trained to be members of this herd.

But this is not our truest nature. Deep down, we are spiritual beings, capable of infinite

levels of individuality and awareness, but when this awareness is choked down and focused

on the material here and now, being part of the herd is what feels good. Until it doesnt,

then youre on your own. Blissfully on your own, carving your own path and creating your

own trail.

So, have you spiritually outgrown the matrix yet? Has your spirit seen enough and learned

enough to tell the difference between an existence in the rabbit hole and an existence in the

realm of infinite possibility?

Is your spirit ready to fly above and beyond the walls of the psychological prison ensnaring

most of us?

Its perfectly OK if it has not. It will someday, though, so hang on and dont give

up.

In my experience as a member of the alternative media, Ive learned that the vast majority

of people out there are still seeking confirmation of their worst fears in the morass of endless

information available to us. And its often the darkest and lowest of frequencies that

have the most gravity and the most pull. The gnarly stuff pulls us in and works to keep

us down.

Its our job, however, as individuals to evolve beyond this and rise above this. When

we do, the fear is the first thing to go, and true freedom is the first reward.

Not to beat to death the metaphor of the matrix, but there is a short scene in the Matrix Trilogy

which puts images to this idea. Food for thought, so enjoy.

This Is The Strict Dress Code Royal Wedding Guest Will Have To Follow - Duration: 13:48.

What Is The Royal Wedding Guest Dress Code? These Are The Rules Family & Friends Will Have To Follow On The Big Day

With Meghan Markles and Prince Harrys wedding nuptials right around the corner on May 19 at St Georges Chapel, people are already wondering what kind of fashion will be involved on the big day and what the royal wedding dress code will be like.

Its no secret that the royals have a ton of fashion and etiquette rules that they have to follow — like no hats are allowed after 6 p.m. because thats tiara time, or coats could never be taken off in public because the action is unladylike — so you can only imagine what the rules are like for an engagement like a royal wedding.

Lets just say there wont be too many experimental fashion choics or sequined mini dresses involved.

The royal wedding is built around tradition and decorum, where many of the major customs used during the big day are over or nearly a hundred years old.

From how the wedding band will look, to what is inside the royal bouquet, to the type of hats that will be pinned to womens heads, it all has a rich and interesting history — and the royals take the responsibility of upholding these traditions seriously.

Check out some of the most interesting ones below, and see if you could spot them when youre watching the ceremony on the big day.

1. The Bridesmaids Have To Be Little Girls

Markle wont be following the American tradition of asking 14 of her closest friends to walk her down the aisle in matching empire waist dresses.

Instead, its tradition to have a legion of little girls who are related to the royal family be the bridesmaids, between the ages of 10 to 12.

For her wedding, Kate Middleton used three-year-old Grace van Cutsem, who was Prince Williams goddaughter, three-year-old Eliza Lopes, who was Camillas granddaughter, and seven-year-old Lady Louise Windsor and eight-year-old Margarita Armstrong-Jones, who were both Prince Williams cousins.

Middleton did break with tradition, however, when she made her sister Pippa the oldest maid-of-honor in recent history, at the ripe old age of 27.

2. The Maid Of Honor Cant Have A Higher Rank

Even if Markle and Middleton became super close these past couple of months and Markle wanted her to be her Matron of Honor, she wouldnt be able to ask.

Theres a rule that a person of higher rank cant trail behind a commoner, as was evidenced when Pippa couldnt ask her own sister to be her Matron of Honor in her society wedding in 2017.

Its unbecoming for a member of the royal family to walk behind a commoner — which, as painful as that sounds and despite being directly related to Catherine, is what Pippa is, shared William Hanson, a British etiquette expert, to Cosmopolitan.

3. Hats Must Be Worn In Church

Have you noticed all the playful, elaborate, and almost architectural hats English women tend to wear to royal weddings? It turns out that those are mandatory.

Ladies have to dress appropriately to church, where they must cover their shoulders, wear appropriately-length dresses, and also cover their hair.

Back in the 1800s everyone wore hats because it was a sign of modesty and respect, and then around the 60s the trend began to peter off — but not during major royal engagements, like a wedding ceremony.

But why are the hats so elaborate? The reasoning is two-fold: The more festive they look, the happier you look for the couple getting married.

And the more elaborate the design, the more expensive the accessory is, which shows your standing in society.

The higher your rank, usually the quirkier your hat will be.

4. The Wedding Bouquet Must Contain Myrtle

Nicknamed the herb of love, its a royal tradition to include myrtle in the bridal bouquet, which was started in the 1800s when Queen Victoria married Prince Albert.

After their wedding she planted the myrtle in their garden, and each royal bride since has carried a sprig from that bush in her own bouquet — everyone from Queen Elizabeth, to Princess Diana, to Kate Middleton.

5. The Grooms Outfit Will Probably Be Military

Starting with Prince Alberts wedding where he married Queen Victoria in 1840, the Prince stood at the alter in his full military garb.

In the years since, royal grooms have come to the chapel wearing their military uniforms, including Prince Philip, who wore his naval commander uniform, Prince Charles, who wore his naval commander garb, and Prince William, who wore his Irish Guard Colonel uniform.

Seeing how Prince Harry has completed two tours in Afghanistan and has been in the army for 10 years with the rank of Captain, he will most probably be showing up in his uniform, too.

6. The Wedding Ring Must Contain Welsh Gold

A new-ish tradition, royal wedding rings have been made out of Welsh gold since 1923, when George VI and Elizabeth Bowes Lyon walked down the aisle together. (They are the parents of Queen Elizabeth.).

For their nuptials the couple was gifted with a nugget of gold from a mine in North Wales, and the family has used the gold to make every wedding band since— from the Queen Mother's ring, to Queen Elizabeths, to Princess Margarets, to Princess Dianas, and Kate Middletons.

7. The Dress Will Probably Be Made By A British Designers

While not an official rule, its customary for the royal bride to choose a British designer in order to celebrate local talent, as well as boost the countrys economy by marketing their goods throughout the important day.

The tradition started with Queen Victoria in 1840, when she broke with tradition and wore a white dress (she was one of the first to do it!) in order to better showcase the Honiton lace on the gown.

The artisanal lace counties were dying off thanks to the Industrial Revolution, and the Queen knew that if she showcased their craftsmanship on her wedding day, it would be written about for months — which it had been.

Queen Elizabeth followed suit by asking British designer Norman Hartnell to design her dress, Princess Diana enlisted Elizabeth Emanuel, and Middleton used Alexander McQueen.

8. Have Neutral Nail Polish

You wont see Markle wearing a bold manicure on her wedding day — in fact, the only time she will be able to rock a bright nail polish color will be when shes spending time at home and not engaging in royal duties.

Only natural-looking nails are allowed at official royal events, including giant wedding celebrations!.

9. You Cant Wear Wedges

This seems like an oddly specific rule, and its around for no other reason than Queen Elizabeth simply doesnt like wedges.

She doesnt like the look of them, and so she doesnt want to see em.

Which is fair enough. The Queen isnt a fan of wedged shoes.

She really doesnt like them and its well known among the women in the family, a royal source told Vanity Fair.

So you can probably expect that there wont be a cork wedge in sight at St Georges Chapel.

10. Make Sure You Have Tights On

Another fast and hard rule of the queens is to always have tights on, so its a fair assumption that all the women in attendance at the chapel and reception will have sheer pantyhose on, at the very least.

When the queen puts down the rules of etiquette, you better follow them.

From playful hats, to myrtle-heavy bouquets, to adorable 10-year-old bridesmaids, this is going to be a fun wedding to watch!.

Royal wedding: Will Meghan Markle have a second dress like Kate Middleton? - Duration: 4:17.

Royal wedding: Will Meghan Markle have a second dress like Kate Middleton?

It is understood Meghan Markle will wear two wedding dresses at her upcoming wedding to Prince Harry in May, a source recently revealed to Vanity Fair.

The actress will be following in the footsteps of the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore two dresses on her big day back in April 2011, both by the same designer.

Kate wore a classic and traditonal gown to the service at Westminster Abbey, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen with a full-length train, and stunning lace veil and then slipped into something simpler for the evening.

The evening white satin dress still had a traditional shape, with a sweetheart neckline and jewel-encrusted belt for the meal at Buckingham Palace, which was less restrictive and easier to greet guests in, compared to her 9ft train.

Caroline Castigliano, a bespoke wedding dress designer, believes Meghan will wear something more revealing for the evening, to reflect her personality.

She said: "I think Meghan will wear something that is much more revealing, much more sensual in the evening, maybe a full beaded dress that she will party the night away.

"It may be low cut at the front, low cut at the back, spaghetti straps, very sparkly, something that will be her wow number for her and Harry.

Caroline believes Meghan will choose a British designer for the main wedding dress out of respect for the royal family, but could opt for an American designer for the evening dress.

She said: "If she wears a different designer it might be for the evening party where they have their 200 friends.

"I think that would be a perfect balance, between showing the respect for the family she is moving into and also bringing in her new life.

"It would stretch open the whole arena and bringing in an American designer or a friend she wants to promote.

"I think that would be a fabulous thing to do.

Emma Boycott, the owner of luxury wedding dress designs Maria Modes, said: "I do think it's likely that she will follow in Kate's footsteps and have a second wedding dress for the private celebrations later in the day.

"This will allow her to relax and wear something that is truly her.

Caroline told Express.

uk Meghan will choose a wedding dress for the main service which is both respectful to the royal family but also reflects her personal style.

The bridal couture designer pictures Meghan in a slim-fitting dress, with a low v at the front, lace sleeves and back and a deep-pleated skirt – a traditional design with a modern edge.
