I'm gonna share with you my top ten curly girl wavy hair videos of 2017. This
is a mixture of videos and different forums and groups that you should be
joining if you have wavy hair. These videos have really helped me this past
year in the curly girl method and embracing my natural waves. I really hope
they help you out in your journey as well, I'll leave all the links in the
description bar right down below so make sure to check them out. If you're new
here Hi, I'm sandy if you have wavy hair you're gonna love my channel, it's all
about helping you embrace your natural waves through the curly girl method and
helping you get rid of any frizz, I'd love to have you be a part of our wavy
haired family, hit the subscribe button right down below. Number one. The first
video I want to talk about is by the channel Marie Claire, and it actually
features the curly girll master herself, Loraine Massey, and she goes through and
does a demo on somebody and shows you how she washes and conditions their
hair. Granted they do have really really curly hair ,that is super super gorgeous
by the way, but the part that I really really is zeroed in on, is the amount of
conditioner she uses. This is something that really helped me up my moisture
level in my washing routine. I mean just being able to see the amount of
conditioner that she uses, and let me tell you it's a generous amount, really
helped me kind of get a better grasp of the amount of conditioner that I should
be using on my waves and ever since then I've been using that exact amount and
I've been really noticing a difference. Number two. The second video is by a
curly girl herself you might have heard of her, her name is Curly Kat Marie and
she actually has wavy hair. I believe she has low porosity level and her waves are
to die for! I really really wish she continued doing
YouTube, she no longer does it but her videos are really really helpful. She
does very thorough honest product reviews and the video that I really
really like is a demo video and particularly she shows you how she's
deep conditions her hair. I do this exact same routine and let me tell you it
really really has made a difference it has been a complete game-changer for me
Number Three. This next video is by an amazing wavy girl you probably have
heard of her, actually I bet you have, by the polished curl in one video in
specific she talks about co-wash versus shampoo and she goes into explaining
whether you should use co-wash or whether you should use shampoo. She does
an excellent job of explaining the benefits of each one and how to tell
whether you should co-wash solely or whether you should shampoo solely or
whether you should do a mixture of both. This video has helped me out
tremendously just kind of getting a better grasp on whether I should do one
or the other and an understanding of the benefits of each one and what they do.
Number four. This next video is by, I can't remember who but it actually
discusses protein moisture balance and this is something that is really really
important to that curly girl method. She really breaks it to down, she
actually uses as a really fun way to explain it, she uses pasta! Who would've
thought pasta can help you explain hair, right? But this is just extremely
extremely genius when you think about it, and the way she explains it. I absolutely
love this explanation it just makes so much sense and so much easier to follow
and it actually clicks up here, at least it did for me. Number five. This next
person again I'm pretty sure you heard of her, India Batson, she really does an
excellent job of helping you embrace your wavy hair and particularly I like
her heatless hairstyles. They're super easy, super cute, super quick, they really
help you if you're having a bad hair day. Just throw your hair up into one of
those heatless hairstyles and just go out the door.
I believe she's also a Deva Curl ambassador if you want somebody that uses
Deva Curl tried and true through and through, it's her. Another video in
particular that I like that really helped me out with detangling my waves.
It's a video that she made about detangling your waves she really breaks
it down into whether you should detangle before the shower, during the shower or
after the shower. You really should never detangle after the shower. I mean no!
She's just somebody that is really relatable, fun, she's funny she has a
great attitude but most of all I really like her heatless hairstyles for wavy
hair. She's also somebody that I really really enjoy watching for product
reviews. I feel like she gives a really honest deep and thorough review of
whatever product she's using. I'll leave the link down below also, you have to
check it out. Number six. This next video is actually by FitKat Style this next
video has to do with diffusers. When I first started the curly girl method
there was so many different diffusers the Devafuser, a regular diffuser a
stock diffuser, I had no idea which one is better or what to do
so I watched her video and she compares all three of them and she discusses the
pros and cons of each one. I know I've gotten several questions on my how to
diffuse wavy hair video about diffusers. If you have more questions about that and
you want to see a comparison, watch this video, it
will not disappoint you. Number seven. This next wavy gal I just absolutely
love! I wish she was still around and that's RockynCurls. I know she's still
active on her Instagram account but as far as posting YouTube videos she
doesn't do that anymore. Anyway she has a video on the top 5
affordable curly girl conditioners and she actually discusses your porosity
level and she goes through low normal and high porosity and says the benefits
of each conditioner and which one you should use. This is how I got to
using the GVP conditioning balm, my tried and true as you know. Number eight. This
next thing is not a video I know surprising right? It's the curly
hair subgroup that's on reddit. they have a amazing product listing on there
that's constantly being updated. It has all the products that are curly girl
friendly you can think of, even for international groups. Deep conditioners,
shampoos, Co washes, gels, creams mousses, the whole nine yards and it actually
gets updated quite a lot. They have products for the US and even
international. If you have wavy hair or curly hair I highly recommend joining
this group. It has really helped me out so so so much. If you want to access the
product listing all you have to do is go into Google and type this "r /curly
hair product listing it should be the first thing that pops up and it's
actually in a Google Doc. These last two are amazing curly girl wavy hair
communities, I mean I don't know about you but I don't really have anyone to
talk about my hair struggles or my wavy hair journey about, I have plenty of
amazing internet friends that are going through the same things as me that we
can share our stories with and support each other that's what these last two of
our about. Number 9. The first one is a subreddit, it's called curly hair.
Number 10. and the second one is through naturally curly.com type two curl talk.
it's an amazing group of men and women that just support each other, they love
on each other, they help each other out, they share their victories, their hair
journeys, products that they're using. Like who doesn't want to be supported?
Who doesn't want to talk about their hair victories and their struggles with
other people like them? I know I do, I hope you do. I'll leave all these links
right down below. Thank you so much for watching I hope you find these videos
and these groups really really useful to you. I hope everyone had an amazing
holiday season and Christmas and I hope you have a great new year. Give this
video a thumbs up if you liked it I'll see you in 2008
Bye!
