US 'not kidding' on North Korea strike that may spark chemical weapons attack in Japan

NORTH Korea could retaliate to a limited "bloody

nose" strike by launching all-out war and a chemical attack on Japan that could kill

millions, an expert has warned.

The US is "not kidding" about launching a targeted strike against military targets

in Kim Jong-un's prison state but such an attack could spark all-out war, Korea expert

Sue Mi Terry warned.

She said: "If North Korea retaliated in a massive way, unleashed chemical weapons in

Japan and there were millions of casualties, I think it's going to be hugely problematic

for the region, in terms of everybody's response and our relationship with all the regional

powers."

The expert warned against relying on a limited response from Kim based on the assumption

that the dictator will act rationally.

Kim has fired off threats of launching attacks against his neighbours and boasted that his

nuclear arsenal is capable of reaching the mainland US.

Dr Terry said: "The danger here is that there are some folks who actually think when they're

thinking about a limited military strike that Kim Jong-un might not retaliate or would just

retaliate in a very limited way and that's going to take us back to the negotiating table.

"There are people who actually make this argument, using Kim Jong-un's rationality

as a reason

"The problem is, we do not know that.

That's an assumption.

I don't think anybody really knows what Kim Jong-un will or won't do."

Pyongyang's persistent pursuit of a nuclear arsenal and continued illegal weapons tests

have set the country on a collision course with the US.

The US is thought to be determined not to accept North Korea as a nuclear power.

Elements within Trump's administration are said to be pressuring the President to launch

an attack against North Korea, it has been reported.

Proposals have been laid out for a surgical style strike against key military targets

within North Korea.

Dr Terry said: "When we keep hearing about this 'bloody nose' or limited military strike,

they're not kidding about this."

Tensions have cooled in the run up to the Winter Olympics hosted by South Korea.

Historic high-level talks have been held as the two nations agreed to send a joint ice

hockey team to the games.

North Korea have been motivated to come to the negotiating table by fear of an aggressive

US Trump policy.

The expert said: "There's nothing to lose from the North Korean perspective."

US Air Force Chief flies 'Made in India' LCA Tejas aircraft in Jodhpur, first foreign military chief - Duration: 1:32.

Aiming to strengthen the relationship between the air forces of US and India, Chief of Staff

of the US Air Force General David L Goldfein on Saturday flew the 'Made in India' light

combat aircraft Tejas at Air Force Station in Jodhpur. Shortly after he boarded the aircraft,

the Indian Air Force in a tweet said, "General David L Goldfein, Chief of Staff of the US

Air Force, is on an official visit to India. He flew a sortie in 'Made in India' LCA

Tejas aircraft at Air Force Station Jodhpur today."

With this, Goldfein also became the first foreign military chief to fly Tejas aircraft.

The US General, who was accompanied by General Terrence O'Shaughnessy, Commander of the

US Pacific Air Force is on an official visit to India. The US officials arrived on February

1 and a 'Guard of Honour' was organised on their arrival at Air Force Headquarters

in New Delhi. The officials then interacted with Indian counterpart Air Force Chief B

S Dhanoa.

Overwhelmed with the warm welcome, General David L Goldfein in a tweet said, "Grateful

for the welcome reception from @IAF_MCC. We look forward to deepening the relationship

between our two air forces." He also tweeted, " I'm also very proud of the strong ongoing

relationship forged between the @IAF_MCC and the Rhode Island Air National Guard's 143rd

Stewardship Secrets #101: What Jesus can teach us about fundraising - Duration: 7:02.

Welcome to Stewardship Secrets. My name is Andrea, Andrea Proulx Buinicki.

I'm the founder of Giving Focus,

and I'm very, very happy to walk with you on your journey toward a more generous faith community.

You're probably watching this video because your ministry needs money.

You need money to care for the poor the sick the lonely and the imprisoned.

Maybe you're a pastor, and you're considering a capital campaign to build a new parish center or to make some major renovations

on your school.

Maybe you've just been assigned to the duties of development director for your religious community, and you don't know where to start.

Maybe you're an excited volunteer on your parish

Stewardship Commission, or maybe last Sunday in the pew it struck you that

your community could do so much good if

everyone were to put an envelope in that offering basket.

Wherever you are on that spectrum, wherever you see yourself, the bottom line is that your ministry needs money.

But at the very least

you feel--uncomfortable--

about

fundraising. You have a fear, or maybe you think that those conversations

are dirty or even disgusting.

I get it.

I have felt those emotions. It can be so hard sometimes to overcome that discomfort

that comes with the responsibility and the privilege of fundraising.

But I believe in you. I know you can do it, and I care that your community and your parish

flourish.

I want to help you be the best that you can be. I want to walk with you on that journey toward generosity.

I want to help you build the kingdom of God.

So let's take a look at what Jesus can teach us about giving.

Let's take a look at what Jesus can tell us about asking people to give

Let's start by talking about the story of the rich man or the wealthy official. It's a story that's so important,

it's in all three of the synoptic Gospels.

I have a link to the story in Mark in the description of this video, so check it out.

Jesus and His disciples were on the way to Jerusalem,

and they stopped in Judea to pray, to teach, to heal people, and to bless the children.

And suddenly a rich man, or a wealthy official comes up to Jesus, kneels down and says,

"Jesus, what do I have to do to gain eternal life?"

Jesus instructs the man to follow the commandments, especially to love your neighbor as

yourself. And the man says, "But, Jesus, I have been doing this since I was a kid. I've done this all my life.

What more do you want me to do?"

Now pay attention to this part:

Jesus looks at the man,

he loves him, and

he says,

"There is one thing you are lacking.

Go, sell all that you have,

give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come follow me."

Did you hear that?

Jesus asked the rich man to give to give to the poor. That's fundraising!

And if Jesus does it,

then it is not bad. It's not disgusting. It's a fear that you can absolutely overcome.

Now there's a whole lot that we can learn about the ministry of fundraising from the Gospels and

And even just from this one story we can unpack so much more. We will over time in this video series.

But today I want you to pay attention to two very very important things.

First, before the solicitation, before asking the man to give, Jesus loved the man.

What does that mean to you, and how does that change your

imagination about what fundraising is?

You move from feeling like you might be taking something from someone to feeling like you are

loving that donor, loving that person with whom you are interacting.

How does that change the conversation? How does that change your

written appeal letter? How does that change your event that you're planning in order to ask people to give?

The second thing that I want you to pay attention to in this story is

that Jesus asked the man to sell everything and give to the poor--

BECAUSE he was incomplete. BECAUSE he was not whole as a disciple of Christ.

He was lacking one thing.

So you know, our job as Christians,

Our Great Commission, is to make disciples of all people.

And so this ministry of fundraising is

absolutely an important tool.

It's a skill to develop if we have the intention

in this ministry of helping people to become whole, to become complete as

disciples of Christ.

It's a vital part of evangelization.

It's an essential part of being a Catholic Christian,

and it's absolutely right and good and just to ask people to give if

you love them, and

if it's your intention to help that person become whole, become complete as

a disciple, as a follower of Christ.

I hope that you found this video to be useful and insightful.

And if so, I want you encourage you to subscribe with your email.

Next time we're going to be talking about some definitions and some structure on the ministries of fundraising and stewardship and

evangelization so that we can look at how these are all interrelated with one

another

And

Even though this is a secret--t's a stewardship secret. I give you explicit permission to share this video with anyone

That's walking with you on your community's journey

towards generosity. Until next time, thanks for watching and God bless you.

Banned in Japan, highly recommended in the U S , Tamiflu causes - Duration: 4:26.

Banned in Japan, highly recommended in the U.S., Tamiflu causes another child to hallucinate,

suffer seizures

by: Isabelle Z.

With all the alarming flu death headlines making the rounds these days, its easy

to see how someone could be frightened into taking flu medications to be on the safe

side. Unfortunately, the popular flu drug Tamiflu is anything but safe, and more examples

of its potential dangers are coming to light as the flu epidemic continues in full swing.

So why exactly is this drug, which has been banned for children in Japan, still so highly

recommended in the U.S.?

In the latest Tamiflu nightmare, a two-year-old experienced hallucinations that caused him

to become violent after taking the medication.

The young boy, who is normally calm, slapped his mother in the face shortly after taking

the drug.

He twitched all night, and he began to pick invisible items off his arms, saying that

they hurt him.

His hallucinations, seizures, and odd behavior stopped after his parents took him off of

the flu drug.

Earlier this year, a six-year-old girl who was taking Tamiflu tried to jump out of her

second-story bedroom window, while an 11-year-old Texas girl told her father she heard the voice

of the devil in her head while taking the medication.

The parents of a 16-year-old boy from Indiana believe that Tamiflu caused him to take his

own life last week.

They report that the boy had never expressed any type of suicidal thoughts in the past,

nor did he have any signs of depression.

He was thriving in school and sports.

The only thing that changed in the days leading up to his suicide, they say, is that he had

started taking Tamiflu.

They say that they were not warned properly about the side effects, as the drugs warning

label mentions abnormal behavior without explaining what exactly that could entail.

His distraught mother is now trying to spread the word to spare others such a tragedy.

Tamiflu, not surprisingly, wouldnt comment on the specific case, but they did state:

Neuropsychiatric events have been reported during the administration of Tamiflu in patients

with influenza, especially in children and adolescents.

The drugs informational insert does mention neuropsychiatric events but the language

is very soft, suggesting they could be caused by the flu itself.

In Japan, there have been so many reports of dangerous hallucinations that giving it

to children and teens has been prohibited.

There, a concerning number of reports came in of young people trying to jump from vehicles

and windows and running out in traffic while taking the drugs.

Several young people attempted suicide while taking Tamiflu, and a few were successful.

2005 saw 12 deaths and over 100 cases of odd behavior that included hallucinations and

delirium in Japan.

Why do doctors continue to give this drug to American children?

Therefore, its not surprising that Japanese authorities banned the drug in those aged

10 to 19 back in 2007, and South Korea came out with a similar warning.

The only thing that is surprising is that it is still routinely given to American children

with flu.

With more than 550 confirmed cases of Tamiflu-induced hallucinations on record in the country since

2009, its nothing short of outrageous that more isnt being done about this problem.

Its even more mind-boggling when you consider how many times this could have happened and

a connection to Tamiflu either wasnt made or wasnt reported.

There is no doubt that the flu can be quite serious, but the drugs efficacy record

doesnt make it worth the risk.

The CDC itself has admitted that people with the flu who are otherwise healthy do not need

antiviral drugs.

Yet doctors continue to prescribe it to young people across the nation.

How many people have to report these scary side effects or even die before something

is done?

US takes the Marshall Islands from the Japanese - 2/3/1944 - Duration: 0:42.

Today in military history, 1944.

American forces capture the Marshall Islands

from the occupying Japanese.

Located in the Western Pacific Ocean,

the Marshall Islands have been under Japanese control

since 1914, when they were granted to Japan

by the League of Nations, after the First World War.

In 1933 however, the Japanese withdrew from the League,

and began building military bases on the mandated islands.

During the latter half of of Word War II,

the United States attacks the islands,

aiming to devastate and isolate the Japanese forces.

In just two months, the US managed

to defeat the occupying Japanese and take the islands.

400 American lives were lost in the fighting.

GOAL EXCLUSIVE - JEROME BOATENG ON HIS LOVE FOR US SPORTS - Duration: 6:47.

You spend a lot of time in the USA, particularly New York.

2 00:00:03,433 --> 00:00:07,366 What is about the US and their lifestyle, that you like so much?

Especially in New York they have different cultures.

I love to see the people on the street.

They are just a different vibe than in Europe.

I like how the people dress and the vibe in New York,

and of course my management is in New York.

So I feel very comfortable there.

How did the collaboration with Roc Nation start?

It was something that maybe surprised many people in the UK.

It started after the World Cup with my old management.

We flew over, we had a talk with the people from Roc Nation,

tried to figure out what we could do in the US and marketing area.

But now I'm now completely with Roc Nation for marketing and everything.

I'm really happy, it's a good connection.

I feel very comfortable with them and they take care of me.

We work good together.

Do you see much of Roc Nation's boss Jay-Z?

Sometimes. Yeah. You know how busy he is.

Not every week or every month,

but I just met him again and of course he's an icon.

It's always great to see him and talk to him

about whatever it is – music or sport.

Does he know much about soccer?

He knows a little bit,

it's not his first sport or favourite sport,

but he knows a little bit.

Jay-Z's favourite sport is basketball.

You're a big basketball fan yourself.

Yeah, for sure.

I've seen some posts with James Harden for example,

would you count him as a friend?

I met him there the first time,

but it was really nice to chat with him, he's a really cool guy.

I then saw him again in the US. We're cool.

Do you have any time to watch NBA matches while you're there?

I've been to a lot of games.

I've been to the playoff game 7 when Miami won against the Spurs.

I've been to Golden State, the Clippers, so yeah.

Harden has been picked for the All-Star game this year.

Have you seen the teams? Does it look like a good game to you?

I think it's an interesting game for sure.

Do you think it'll be Team Lebron or Team Steph?

It looks like Team Lebron is a little bit stronger, but you never know.

Golden State look particularly strong again this year,

do you think there is a team that can come close to stopping them?

It will be very difficult.

For me they play the best basketball, they move the ball very clever.

They have a good vibe in the team too I think.

That's what you see from the outside.

Everybody respects each other, that's a key point.

The Warriors have been regarded as a team with social conscience.

Do you pay attention to that side of US sports?

A little bit of course, when I have time.

I think they are team and they are very close to each other.

They respect each other.

The coach makes a good impression.

This is only what I can say from outside.

When I met the guys they were all very nice and cool.

We've seen you with Odell Beckham Jr from the NFL as well,

is he one of the players you admire in that sport?

For sure. His talent and his skills and his legs.

How quick he is, he is one of the best players.

Unlucky that he was injured now,

but he's a super cool guy and one of the best players.

You've been paying attention obviously to the Super Bowl season.

How do you see the Super Bowl going this year?

It's very interesting, they are two very strong teams.

I think a lot of fans of course don't want that the Patriots win it again.

Kind of boring.

But you have to give them credit, what they are doing is incredible.

They are there year after year,

do you think the Patriots are a bit like the Bayern of the NFL?

You can say so but like I said it's a different sport.

Usually you see every year different teams in the playoffs,

but they are there every year.

They are focussed and they are on point.

As a footballer, do you watch these other sports solely for pleasure?

Or is there something a fellow sportsman can learn

about the way these other games are played?

Of course I watch it for fun, but I also watch it to see:

"Oh this is a tactic". Then after the review sometimes you see:

"Oh that was interesting to see how that works in this sport".

Did you ever have a conversation with these other sportsmen about...

You're a World Champion, a European Champion...

Do they ask you for advice?

Well, not for advice.

But I did ask for example Kevin Durant how is his day looking,

how is the training, what they have to do and stuff like this.

They play every day nearly so it is different from our job.

The NFL this year has sort of been dominated by anthem protests.

Do you have any views on the whole Colin Kaepernick situation?

Yes of course I follow it.

It's a very interesting thing to watch and for me it's understandable.

It's a very big thing in the US,

while I live in Europe and it's not that big here.

But of course we follow it and I support this.

You've raised awareness of slavery in Libya and campaigned for anti-racism,

do you see this as an obligation for high profile athletes?

I think it's very important, it's very sad we still have this these days.

So we have to step up and to find solutions.

We've seen some European players join the NFL as kickers.

Clive Allen for example, who was a British striker.

Would that ever interest you? Join an NFL team as a kicker?

If I am good enough why not?

I think it's interesting to go in another sport.

But I have to see if I am good enough, if I can kick the ball far enough.

Well your pass last week for... Lewandowski was it?

Muller.

Yes well if you could do that on a football pitch...

Ok, then I'm in!

UN report finds North Korea carried out US$200 mil. of illegal exports - Duration: 0:52.

A UN report has revealed that North Korea earned nearly 200 million U.S. dollars in

illegal exports last year, violating international sanctions.

The confidential report, seen by Reuters, said that North Korea "continued to export

almost all the commodities prohibited in the UN resolutions... between January and September

2017".

Countries involved in trade with the rogue state include China, Russia and Malaysia.

North Korea is also said to have supplied weapons to Syria and Myanmar, including materials

for ballistic weapons technology and chemical weapons manufacturing.

Coal is also said to have been exported to several countries, including South Korea,

using, quote, "a combination of multiple evasion techniques, routes and deceptive tactics".

Several unnamed multinational oil companies are also said to be under investigation for

trade in petroleum products.

see the drunk and embarrassing Instagram stories that I did the night before...and debate whether

The last text that I sent Katie, "whattttt?" with a lot of t's, period.

"Dude. period.

She's a freaking weirdo.

period.

Everyone stay in your effing lanes. Period." The last DM that I got, was from a really

nice lady named Vicki, who was talking about how she loved my podcast.

She really appreciated the convo that I had today.

That's sweet.

The last DM that I sent, was back to Vicki, and that was "Thanks Vicki, I really appreciate

The last tweet that I just read, I just clicked on the homepage is, "Yesss #PumpRules and

The last thing I received in my favorite group chat, which is between me, Katie, and Kristen.

It's called "Okay, Bianca".

Kristen sent a meme, "Next time a stranger talks to me when I'm alone, I'll just look

Guess it's not even really that funny.

I don't know why she sent that.

The most interesting thing I've seen on my phone today, was a new video by Ava, that

little kid who does Charlene.

I'm feeling extra.

No Jose, I don't wanna listen to Despacito!

She loves Despacito!

I'm obsessed, so that will...she will trump anything I see on my phone any day.

The last text that I received from my little brother Nikolai, he's perfect, was "Call me."

*laughs* The last selfie I took, that's easy it was

my OOTD.

I like to take outfit of the day photos in mirrors.

The last song that I listened to on my phone, it's probably going to be really really freaking

embarrassing.

it's probably like Les Miserables, " like I Dreamed a Dream".

Actually I shit you not, I'm pretty sure that's the last song I listened to.

I'm good at this one!

My favorite food delivery app, I use probably like 2-3 times a day...POSTMATES!

It's the best!

My favorite Snapchat filter is the one that makes me look like a zombie.

My lock screen photo is a picture of the two most important things in my life... and no I'm

not talking about my boobs.

Zo and Luda.

My home screen photo?

I'm like one of those basic people that legitimately never changed it.

I just feel like the night sky with the snow is so pretty.

Like it's so calming, why would I want to change that?

This doesn't even make sense, my Sister and my Dad...did I put that there?

I'm learning now what favorites are in my phone, and apparently I have a list.

It says my Dad, and my Sister but like...

I don't remember doing that.

I must have been drunk.

The weirdest app that I have on my phone, probably would be the Taco Bell app.

Who doesn't want the Taco Bell app?

My favorite photo editing app is Facetune, I mean come on.

It's everyone's fave!

I get my news from the Daily Mail.

I'm obsessed...I have like an obsession.

Let's see what podcasts I subscribe to, besides myself.

The Bitch Bible, Be Here For A While, Dirty John I just listened too.

Raw Talk with Scheana.

I don't play games.

I've never once played a game on my phone.

Like why play a game, when you can just like, stalk people?

The most recent person that I searched on Instagram....Bravo TV!

The most recent app I downloaded was the Kira, Kira sparkle app...because why the hell not?!

Okay...you guys are annoying the shit out of me, and it's time for me to like be on

my way and I need a cocktail so...are we done?
