right here and today you're actually watching the sixth episode of Draw
with Mike let's dive into that it's something about Christmas probably but
you maybe watch this video after the Christmas who knows right?
one of the first trend is definitely about the vertical format on Instagram
so what does it really mean vertical format I mean Story IGTV is vertical
obviously even portrait photo means that vertical photo worked better on
Instagram because when you're using your phone you're using your phone in this way
not this way usually cater more mobile experience
especially for the younger generation and if you actually noticed some of the
competitions of Instagram for example like Tik Tok so if you're still relying
on landscape or square you probably need to challenge yourself a little bit
and in fact that you can resize the photo and the video when you post it on
story so it used to be like ratios like fixed but now you can actually like
diminish the size and increase the size so Instagram actually allows you to be
more creative right now there is a lot of new update since my last video
Video will account for 81 percent of all internet traffic by 2021 Wow!
how powerful that video is gonna dominating and when we talk about video
that is not just about the video you see on your main feed but it's also about
the story video so when it comes to story ads it's about vertical and video
advertising so two V yeah video is more compelling because it tells a story a
lot better than just a photo can be interpreted in many ways so vertical
story ad is gonna be one of the biggest things in 2019 technically just
promote your story directly from your story from your phone it used to be you
need to go to Facebook manager to do that just like when you're promoting your
normal post so it's pretty useful for people that trying to utilize
ads but they don't have the time or don't have the tool kind of remind you guys they
actually have Instagram manager in 2019 side to side to Facebook all the
traffics all the analytics about your Instagram performance
which including your post click go into your website is gonna be helping you to
build your business a whole lot easy next one will be excited for people that
doing shopping on Instagram so I knew that shopping is not available for every
single country right now in Malaysia we don't have it right now you can
technically share your product in your story as a static image and you can tag
the product in your story as well story is gonna be your biggest friend
or enemy in 2019 it depends on your usage how to take advantage of story
it's going to bring a lot of valuable leads to you if you are actually utilized
the shopping feature if you have one if you're selling product I'm not sure that
how to actually sell service on Instagram with your shopping button but
I would say that product is probably like the better one for now I'm still
kind of getting to that one powerful in the sense that in today's world everyone
just trying to be more convenient just imagine everyone is on Instagram
specifically speaking for artists so I would say that it would be better for us
if we are able to sell our products like art or painting or something through
Instagram that would be awesome so by the way if you're interested to learn more

engagement you kind of like increase your brand loyalty and shares by those

grow the number but it helps you to grow real clients and customer and I think
that's what matters so one of the key about Instagram is interactive the
previous CEO Kevin Systrom said that Instagram Story is becoming
so successful compared to Snapchat and other alternative in fact it's not the first
one to do it Snapchat was right? It's because how interactive it is and I can
totally totally say it really is! Poll features emoji slider they have Questions
sticker you're able to ask questions interact with your followers allow
them to participate with you and if you are an artist I would definitely say
that will be good for you to definitely ask questions about your art if you
don't mind to be criticized I don't know like I usually do it a lot like ask people
to rate my drawing how these little things can actually lead them into your
direct message and they probably ask you more question they probably will answer
you more you can start a conversation right there and you probably make a friend
because of that you probably have a client because of that who knows?
especially like a personal brand there is actually two new stickers
coming on Instagram I'm not sure whether you've got it or whether you've used it
so I'm on iOS I'm not sure about Android it's called countdown sticker I believe it
is so I just tried it with countdown to Christmas you can set up the timing and
Instagram actually allows you to countdown and your followers can join another
feature which is you can actually have the question sticker through live videos
I haven't tried it yet and for those who have music sticker in your regions you
can also responding with music another one which is in the direct message is
voice calling about nine to ten months ago I speak about how Instagram is
trying to have voice calling and video calling
so video calling was around there for about a few months already and now voice
calling is finally here so it's a little like a walkie-talkie style that's what they
described on the website and it's nothing new but it's definitely
needed to be there I can literally do a meeting with my client right there
I can literally talk to my friend right now Instagram has been so complete with
all these little features and even in my last video when I spoke about how to
grow your account from scratch that's the title of the video I believe it
I actually mentioned two things which is to share and save people saved it
because they probably want to search you up later they probably want to introduce
you to their friends and family members that potentially will actually becoming
your customers and clients it's all about converting we really speak about
that where are you going to sell it so it's not just about getting free stuff
and getting engagement it's like oh I'm so happy I get one hundred likes it doesn't convert
you make sure that everything served the purpose of your post make sure
everything is gonna converting and there is another thing it's not
available yet hopefully it will be soon is that they're gonna redesign the whole
user interface about Instagram profile they're not going to focus on the followers
number put your name at first followed by your bio and your link or your website
and it'll be showing your followers number following so it would be like smaller
part for to showing the numbers of your followers and it's basically like
Twitter like Twitter already did it for like a while they have the cover photo
and they have the name the bio and so on and then it shows followers like a little
all matters is converting that's always how I preach about that but that's
really real that's probably the first video we don't talk about hashtag
hope that you get some insights about that of course there's a lot of things I
probably left out because there's just so many things coming in on Instagram
can you imagine that just because I took two weeks three weeks break there's a
lot of update already I'm just thinking about having a new series probably so by
