So in addition to making videos on
YouTube, I really like watching videos on
YouTube! and I know that there are a lot
of creators out there so it can be
really hard to kind of find content that
you love! somebody might be out there
making videos that are perfect for you
but you might not know what to search
for to find them. so i thought that i
would recommend some of the YouTube
creators that i've been especially
loving lately and maybe you'll find
someone you like give! me a thumbs up if
this is the kind of video that you'd
like to see more often and if you're new
here, don't forget to subscribe to join
my weird, creative, crafty little online
family. I make video blogs talking about
topics that I'm really enthusiastic
about, I make really cute DIY craft
tutorials, mostly sewing tutorials
because I love sewing! and sometimes I
make videos to document my travels. so
this list is in no particular order but I
thought I'd start off with somebody
who's very similar to me in the
enthusiasm department and that is Tessa
Netting! if you think I get excited about
stuff, you should see Tessa's videos. she
is a ball of fire and energy and I love
her. she makes so many videos about harry
potter, at the end of the year she does a
song parody about all the things that
happened during the year. her song from
2016 is from Hamilton. I highly
recommend it. she's just an all-around
sweetheart, she's so talented, and you
should definitely check out her videos
especially if you like mine. next up is
Rikki Poynter! I've been watching her for
a few years now and I love her content.
she's so funny and smart and honest and
I love her. she makes a lot of videos
about being deaf and I have learned so
much from her over the years. she's one
of the reasons why I started taking
captioning my videos much more seriously.
she's done a lot of work communicating
why that is such an important thing for
YouTube creators to do and I highly
recommend that you caption your videos.
she's also really into pokémon, as
am I, and I always love when she makes
pokemon-themed videos. so yes. Rikki
Poynter. highly recommended. next, it's
Akilah! Obviously. Akilah Hughes, she's
hilarious. I laugh so so much when I'm
watching her videos. she's absolutely
brilliant and recently, she even started
making more relaxed vlogs which are
filmed in a very artistic way and I
really really like them. They're
refreshing and they're a nice balance
between her more scripted comedy videos.
So then there's Andrew Huang. high five, Andrew! [high five sound]
Andrew is one of the most versatile,
creative musicians that I've ever seen. I
feel like he's best known for making
music out of items that you traditionally
wouldn't make music out. of he's really
good at making sponsored videos with
products integrated and he's so clever! I
don't even know how to explain to you
how great Andrew is except to tell you
that you need to go and just listen to
something that he's made. I haven't
mentioned this yet, I probably should, but
you can go into the video description
below for a list of links to all of these
channels that I'm mentioning. next up is
LBP! Lauren Dixon-Paver. she makes some
really adorable DIY tutorials and she
has a ton of tutorials on really cute
plushies. I know that a lot of you like
plushies like I do so you should
definitely check out her channel. so the
next one is Free Dad Videos. I found out
about this channel through my friend
Josh who actually knows Matt who makes
Free Dad Videos. funny story, my husband's
name is Matt so we're "Lauren and Matt"
and Josh always talks about "the other
Lauren and Matt" and eventually Josh told
me that "the other Matt" who is married
to "the other Lauren" actually also has a
youtube channel. so, weird. small world. but
Matt makes really funny and really well
produced skits starring his kids and
they are great! they're really into video
games and Star Wars and just, my
nerdy parent heart is so happy whenever
i watch their videos. They've also been
doing some really cute music videos
lately. I tried to pick channels that go
across lots of different genres for this
list, so this next one is a beauty
channel called freshblush! her name is
Erin and she has so much personality. she
does amazing everyday makeup looks as
well as really dramatic costume makeup
that is just gorgeous and I really like
listening to what she has to say. her
voiceovers aren't just about what she's
doing as far as the makeup goes, she
incorporates a lot of really interesting
conversation into her videos and I
really like that about her! the next one
is a booktuber that I just recently
found out about and I've been going
through and watching a bunch of her old
videos and I just think they're great.
her name is Ariel Bissett and she's
really fun to watch! she has a great
on-screen personality and she's so
enthusiastic and passionate about
everything she's talking about. she also
makes zines and so she's done a lot of
really cool DIY videos on how to make
zines, how to carve your own rubber
stamp, and she's just great. and I have
one more to recommend
and her channel is called with
Wendy. she makes and designs her own
clothes and she does some really great
not intimidating, approachable sewing
tutorials. she has a lot of videos on how
to alter existing clothes and also how
to make clothes from scratch. and making
clothes is a project that's been very
intimidating for me for whatever reason.
I sew pretty much every day of my life
but I make accessories and plush toys
and I am just for whatever reason really
scared to make clothing. and watching her
videos is really making me want to at
least give it a try, even if I screw it
up, the least I can do is attempt to do
it. so if you've been thinking about
learning how to sew clothes, definitely
check out her channel. so those are all
of the recommendations that I have for
you today! in the comments below, I would
love if you could recommend some of your
favorite youtubers! I'm always looking
for new people to watch, especially DIY
tutorials and creative video blogs.
there are just so many people doing such
great work out here and I just want more
people to see it! read the video
description below for a list of links to
all of these amazing channels. thanks for
watching and I'll see you soon!
