Why don't we just...

Hop off our mini-tramps

- 74 degrees in April...

Can you believe this?

- Oh, get off your high horse, Greg.

It snowed last week.

What do you want from me, Greg.

You want me to shut down the company

so we can reduce our carbon footprints?

You a little too hot there Greg?

Hey, you outta cool off!

(laughs)

Ah, it's just a little water.

(mumbles)

- How 'bout this weather?

(girl's voice echoes) - (mumbles)

Welcome, Newcomers! So Patreon? Discord? (Channel Update) - Duration: 9:22.

Hello there, everyone. This is Aira, and I just want to say

Wow

Just just wow I am

Absolutely blown away by the events of the past few days

For those of you who may not be aware

I've been working hard on this channel for a few years now

Making videos when I can, doing lots of let's plays

plenty of Minecraft, the occasional song, and a few game critiques and reviews

Those critiques and reviews will be more common pretty soon, too.

I'm working on a really in-depth critique of a game right now

Which I hope will be out really soon

I'm afraid I tend to be kind of rambley and I know this update might get a little longer than I mean it to so

Let me just quickly give you all the "too long; didn't read" version of the video without the details

One: welcome, all newcomers! Thank you so much. I'm so pleased to have you here, you have no idea

Two: the video upload schedule for this channel will stay the same for now

Which is Wednesdays and Fridays with occasional Mondays, but after the school year ends there will be a lot more content

As I will be making big changes to my job and my schedule

Three: I have a new Discord server (link below) and Patreon (link below)

I'm currently trying to raise enough money for a modded Minecraft server for me and my mom and

Higher level patrons will be able to play on there with us once we get it up and running

Okay, that's the short version now on to the long version with all the intimate details you could ask for

For the past couple of years I've been doing this as a labor of love. This is a hobby for me

I have never made one single cent from any of this

I've just been doing it because I enjoyed it and wanted to do it, and I'm a grown up

and I can make videos if I want and

Yes, by the way there have been a few comments recently implying that I am a small child

I'm a grown woman

not a small child. Woman, not child, just to clear that up

As of last Friday morning, I had

127 subscribers. I know the exact number because I check it every day

And I celebrate every time I get a new one

You can't imagine the joy that I felt every time that number ticked up

And I realized that all my hard work, all the stuff that I love making, is good enough

That another person wanted to come back for more

Well, folks, that all changed Friday afternoon when Everything, the game, was released and my subscribership

tripled in 24 hours

I was very fortunate in that I was able to get an advance copy of the game

(thanks to my day job)

And I was able to play it, analyze it, and prepare a nice review before it even came out

That put me in a position to have a video ready the moment in unlocked in the Steam store and get a sudden massive

influx of traffic

I was hoping to get a few new subscribers out of that

But I was in no way expecting a turnout like this. As of the moment I'm recording this, that video has

1108 Views

That may not sound like much to those of you who are used to big-name YouTubers with millions of subscribers

But up until this point, I've averaged around 15 to 20 views per video I post. This is such an

unbelievably huge jump in views that I am just completely blown away

So hello new Subscribers!

Hello new audience of lovely people who watched my review of Everything and liked or commented or subscribed. The overwhelming majority of you wrote

Truly lovely things and I am touched and honored that you hold such a high opinion of my work

I really put a lot of hours into that review and it is

Incredibly validating to see it so well received

I did see a lot of comments from people saying that they were surprised by how few subscribers

I have and hope that I would find more success soon

First of all thank you, oh my God

Thank you. In case any of you are genuinely interested in why someone who creates quality content would not find success

Well, there are just too many people on YouTube, plain and simple. You usually find the videos you watch by searching for keywords

But Youtube's results are not curated. The top search results are generated based on how popular the videos already are

How many views, comments, likes, even dislikes they have

the most popular videos are the easiest to find which means if you're not already popular it can be almost impossible to be found

A terribly made video by an already popular Youtuber with a hundred thousand views is always going to be easier to find than

a really well made video by someone with only a handful of followers. That's just the way it works

Finding success is largely a matter of luck. You usually can't be successful if your content isn't good

But having good content is hardly a guarantee of success

which makes me all the more grateful to have all of you here now

and since so many of you are new, please allow me to introduce myself properly

I'm Aira. I grew up in America, but I live in Central Europe now

I make my living as an English as a foreign language teacher

and as a writer and an editor

sadly these jobs take most of my time and energy, especially teaching, which is so

Incredibly draining it's difficult to describe to someone who hasn't experienced it

This is actually the main thing holding me back from making more videos right now. In fact

I made a decision a little while ago: this is my last year of teaching. I love the job

I love my students, but I just do not have the energy to do it anymore

I've already worked things out with my writing and editing job

And I'm going to work more there, more at home, and this will leave me with enough energy to devote to my videos

This is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I'm finally in a position to do it

And I'm just super excited at how things are going to change after the school year ends in a couple of months

So for the time being my upload schedule is going to remain the same

regular videos on Wednesdays and Fridays barring illness or some other kind of catastrophe and

Occasional videos on Mondays just whenever I can find the energy to get them up

As I mentioned before I'm going to be doing more reviews and critiques and of course

I'll keep doing in my let's plays, especially of Minecraft

Which is one of my favorite games to play and also the most popular one for videos

Regarding Minecraft there's something I've really been wanting to do for a long time

But I didn't have the means: I want to get a private modded server hosted for me

And my mom to play on and use for videos

We have a lot of technical issues at the moment because I'm hosting our games from a single player world. I live in Europe

She lives in America, we're six time zones apart, we have to coordinate our play time, which usually only amounts to a few hours

per month

And we have pretty nasty lag issues sometimes because it's just not possible to get a very fast internet connection where I live now

We've been discussing the possibility of hiring a server for a while, but to get one capable of hosting the Modpack

We're using, which is Foolcraft at the moment, it was just too expensive

we can't afford it without help. So with this influx of lovely new people I've decided to take a chance and start a

Patreon. There is a link in the description of this video and another link on my main channel page

It's a small icon in the bottom right of the header image

It doesn't look like much just yet

But I'll keep working on the page and the rewards. As of right now

If you support me with a dollar or more per month you get a rank with some privileges in my new Discord server

Yes, new Discord server, more on that in a moment

If you support me with five dollars or more per month you get a higher rank on Discord as well as the right to join

Me and mom on our multiplayer server once it's up and running. This reward will take some time. First

We need to raise enough money, it'll be forty dollars a month

So that's my first patreon goal, and once we get close to that I'll start setting up the server

I'll be adding more rewards and levels and stuff in the future

But that's what I have for a start

I can tell you that once I reach that forty dollar goal

And we finally have our server the next goal will be to raise enough money to hire a dedicated

subtitler to subtitle all of my videos

Subtitles are really, really important to me. I just don't have time to write them

For most of my videos. It really bothers me that I can't do that

And it's a very high priority to make that happen

For the time being if any of you guys want to volunteer to help write subtitles

You are absolutely welcome to do so and I would greatly appreciate any help

So that's Patreon. Hooray!

As I mentioned I also have a new Discord server up and running. The address for that is down in the video description as well

Like the Patreon it's still pretty basic

But there are a few channels in there

Including one for patrons only, and I will be active on there and happy to chat with you guys

There's a place to be suggestions and make requests as well, and I will be paying a lot of attention to that channel

I make these videos because I love it

And I would keep making them even if no one was watching but it's also important to me that you guys enjoy watching them

So if there's something you really want to see don't hesitate to let me know. I really want hear from you

Well, I think that's everything for now

thanks for watching, thanks for listening, and just... just thanks for everything. Seriously, guys, and

This is from the heart: for the first time in my life

I have a large group of people encouraging me to pursue a creative endeavor

Which I care a lot about and which brings me just great joy. You have no idea

How much it means to me to have you here, and I look forward to seeing you all again in the next one

How to REMONETI$E Your YOUTUBE Channel TODAY! - Duration: 10:02.

Hello everybody out there in YouTube land I am Matthew Heines am a teacher and an author

and today I'm going to give you an update on the YouTube De monetization issue and I'm

going to recommend something that might be a solution for you, depending on your site

and what kind of viewers and subscribers you get.

So, the first thing I want to say is that my July 4, 2017 YouTube strike is still in

effect.

I'm asking people not to upload or watch anything on YouTube that day.

Just to send a message to YouTube and Google people that you make money from on YouTube

actually matter and you need to include everybody's views not just people you agree with, even

if they are wrong.

What I'm recommending, if this is for you, it might not be for everybody, but if you

continue to watch the video, I will show exactly what steps to follow in order to get paid.

And for what?

What I'm asking you to do is go ahead and monetize your YouTube channel by selling my

books.

And what books a I talking about?

You can go to my website www.heinessight.com and see just very quickly I have four very

interesting humorous historical multicultural books.

And they have great reviews, I'm going to post some of them here but here's one here.

So this is one of my books, Deceptions of the Ages this is about the connections

between the Mormons, the Latter Day Saints church, Freemasons and extraterrestrials.

And so, if you're into this kind of thing, this would be exactly the kind of book for

you.

And, these sell over the world.

They are quite popular.

So, this is one item that you might want to sell.

Very quickly, I spent many years as a teacher into military trainer in the Middle East.

So, this is my book about my time in Saudi Arabia, Killing Time in Saudi Arabia.

It is about my experiences there in 2004th 2005 in the middle of an insurrection.

And, it's very funny, it's very informative book about Saudi Arabia.

Very quickly, my first venture in the Middle East's first teaching goes My Year in Oman.

I think you'll love it it's a romance its multicultural.

It gives you a lot of insights into her Arab culture and history and insights into the

country.

Oman is just fantastic to read about and you won't believe some the things you read.

So, My Year in Oman and, finally my sequel to that book Another Year in Oman.

And, this is about the Iraq invasion and happened to me and the people around me in this Middle

Eastern country while the Iraq invasion was going on.

So again, her book in order for me to pay.

That you can advertise and monetize on your site.

So, what's in it for you?

What I'm offering, and again when I'm finished with this little spiel I'm going to go ahead

and give you the nuts and bolts of how to do this.

But, what I'm suggesting is that for every book you sell off of your site, and I will

show you how to do this, I will pay you one dollar through PayPal.

So, you have to have a PayPal account in order for me to pay you.

And the last thing is and I'm going to keep repeating this, they must purchase the books

fromwww.heinessight.com from my own Heinessight store.

So, if they buy through Amazon or iTunes this doesn't apply.

They have to buy a paperback book and this will give you a dollar for each copy of the

book you sell.

So, if somebody comes in and buys all four books you just made yourself for dollars.

And there is no, this is a flat fee, whatever PayPal charges for their costs, I'll pick

that up so that you get one dollar per book as part of this agreement.

so, now look at the nuts and bolts of how to actually do this.

I guess I can see this now, I will send you this short video when you tell me, Matt I

want to monetize my site with your books.

All right, so the first thing we want to do is go to heinessight.com the official website

of me, Matthew D Heines.

So, will go to home then we will find Killing Time In Saudi Arabia, as an example, we'll

just scroll down look there's my interview on Project Camelot.

And we'll just scroll down on the homepage.

We'll go all the way down until we find, Killing Time in Saudi Arabia.

So, if we click on the print edition, this is going to take us to Heinessight Direct.

And, at Heinessight Direct we are going to scroll down.

There's an option to buy all three books and of course that would give a YouTuber three

dollars for their channel.

Just keep scrolling down, we are looking for Killing Time in Saudi Arabia.

And, there it is so we've got Killing Time in Saudi Arabia.

And we just clicked on the Killing Time in Saudi Arabia page, so if you want more information

on the book then you just go to that page.

So if we go back to Heinessight Direct and we will find

Killing Time in Saudi Arabia and, from Killing Time in Saudi Arabia were going to click on

the PayPal icon for buy now.

Okay, so I can't login because I can't buy from my own account, so this is what I want

you to do.

Once you go in and make your purchase, you need to write in the message box for special

instructions the name of the YouTube channel where you saw the ad for these books so for

example that YouTube or something like that, but make sure you get the right YouTube or

channel because if you don't, then I can't pay them.

And, then all need from the YouTube channel of course is an email address so I can send

you your money.

So, if you want to sign up for this, you can go ahead and just shoot me an email at matthew@heinessight.com

and I'll get you signed up for the program.

And, I will send you this video with these instructions on it.

So that's the problem there if you don't put the YouTube channel, I can't pay the creator.

Okay?

Easy enough?

I mean, I guess it's cool to love a 74 degree day in April

(stammers)

- Small talk is in danger.

- 74 degrees in April, can you believe this?

- Oh, get off your high horse, Greg.

The weather changes.

Some days, it's hot.

Some days, it's cold.

There's a problem here?

Why is everything a problem with you, Greg?

- Talking about the weather

used to be the best way to break the ice.

- I love a sunny day.

- I love you.

- But today, confusion about changing climate

has made weather too hot to talk about.

- Dude, it's cold.

- That's what we get for melting all the glaciers.

- What'd you say? - What'd you say?

- What did you say? - What'd you say?

- This weather has been nuts, huh?

(audience booing) - You suck!

- [Man] Go back to California, hippie!

- Why don't we just hop off our mini tramps and start

- If the toxic climate around chit-chat continues,

the forecast is simple,

cloudy,

with a chance of conflict.

- You a little too hot?

Maybe you oughta cool down.

(laughs)

That's water.

- [Woman] You're not a meteorologist!

(booing) - Please stop.

- I'd like to see your science!

- What'd you say? - What'd you say?

- What'd you say? - What did you say?

- It is.

It's a great day.

Launching A Youtube Channel - Advice on starting a Youtube channel - Duration: 4:20.

you're planning to launch a youtube

channel for your business but you have

so many questions don't worry in today's

video I'm going to give you three things

that you need to make sure you have set

up ready to go before you launch your

YouTube channel hey guys welcome back to

another episode of Just The Tips with Trena where

I provide online entrepreneurs tips and

tricks on how to create a video content

strategy that works for them and their

business just remember if you aren't

subscribed yet make sure you go ahead

and click that red subscribe button that

way you'll be notified every time I

upload new content just for you so let's

jump into the three things you need to

make sure you have in place before you

launch your channel the first thing you

need to do is decide on your niche you

can't do the spray and pray method where

you create a bunch of different videos

on a bunch of different topics and hope

people watch it that's not going to work

on YouTube you really need to niche down

and when I say niche down you need to be

really specific on who your audience is

going to be and that niche you're going

to target youtube has a lot of content

already on its platform and the only way

you're going to get found it is if you

know exactly who you're targeting what's

great about this is if you have a

business you already know who your

niche is and who you're going to be

targeting but if you don't have that yet

you really need to sit down and start

thinking about who you're who your

target audience is going to be and what

your niche of your channel is going to

be because that's really how your

channel is going to be successful second

come up with your unique quick little

intro kind of like what I have where I

say just the tips with trena where i

provide online entrepreneurs tips and tricks

for you know the drill if you watch my

videos you know i say that every single

time by having this quick little intro

not only do you provide your audience a

reminder of who you are and what you do

but if somebody new finds your video

they instantly know who you are and what

you do if they like what they hear

they're instantly going to stick around

for more or subscribe to your channel

which means they're going to watch more

content from you you're going to build

more of a know like and trust factor

with them and ultimately it's going to

be much easier to sell to them and

finally the third thing you need to have

in place is videos now I don't mean you

need to put out for videos immediately

in fact i really suggest you don't push

out for

videos the same day you really want to

make sure you're optimizing each video

and getting as much traffic to one video

at a time so if you film for videos you

have them ready to go that's awesome but

only push one video live a week or maybe

every other every couple days because

you really want to provide enough

attention to that video so that you can

rank it so that you can get people

watching it and you don't want to just

push out a bunch of videos that people

aren't really sure which one they should

watch they watch that one so just do one

video at a time maybe once a week or

once every three or four days i also

have a little bonus for you but one

thing you can do when you launch your

channel is to have a custom subscription

link so what this link is is when

somebody clicks on it they're instantly

taken to your channel but they have to

subscribe to your channel before they

can wash your content so if you are

using social media to promote your

channel like on Twitter or on Instagram

telling people you have a brand new

channel to wreck them to this

subscription link so when they land on

your channel they have to subscribe to

your channel to watch your content I

will leave a formula that you need to

create this subscription link down in

the description box below all you have

to do is just plug and play and you have

your customized subscription link to

start using everywhere you want now

before you launch your channel make sure

you have everything in place go ahead

and grab my channel checklist right up

here it's going to make sure you have

everything optimized and prepare to

start attracting your target audience so

I want to hear from you which one of

these was most helpful to you whether

the new subscription link I just taught

you how to create was it knowing how

many videos to put on let me know what

hip you found most successful for you

and when you're launching your channel

let me know in the description box below

when you're planning to launch your

channel if you found this video helpful

again please make sure you like it you

share it on social media whether that's

Facebook Twitter Instagram wherever you

can use the social share buttons down

below and as always thank you so much

for taking the time to watch my content

and I will see you next week bye

My Favorite YouTube Channels (so far in 2017!) | @laurenfairwx - Duration: 5:31.

So in addition to making videos on

YouTube, I really like watching videos on

YouTube! and I know that there are a lot

of creators out there so it can be

really hard to kind of find content that

you love! somebody might be out there

making videos that are perfect for you

but you might not know what to search

for to find them. so i thought that i

would recommend some of the YouTube

creators that i've been especially

loving lately and maybe you'll find

someone you like give! me a thumbs up if

this is the kind of video that you'd

like to see more often and if you're new

here, don't forget to subscribe to join

my weird, creative, crafty little online

family. I make video blogs talking about

topics that I'm really enthusiastic

about, I make really cute DIY craft

tutorials, mostly sewing tutorials

because I love sewing! and sometimes I

make videos to document my travels. so

this list is in no particular order but I

thought I'd start off with somebody

who's very similar to me in the

enthusiasm department and that is Tessa

Netting! if you think I get excited about

stuff, you should see Tessa's videos. she

is a ball of fire and energy and I love

her. she makes so many videos about harry

potter, at the end of the year she does a

song parody about all the things that

happened during the year. her song from

2016 is from Hamilton. I highly

recommend it. she's just an all-around

sweetheart, she's so talented, and you

should definitely check out her videos

especially if you like mine. next up is

Rikki Poynter! I've been watching her for

a few years now and I love her content.

she's so funny and smart and honest and

I love her. she makes a lot of videos

about being deaf and I have learned so

much from her over the years. she's one

of the reasons why I started taking

captioning my videos much more seriously.

she's done a lot of work communicating

why that is such an important thing for

YouTube creators to do and I highly

recommend that you caption your videos.

she's also really into pokémon, as

am I, and I always love when she makes

pokemon-themed videos. so yes. Rikki

Poynter. highly recommended. next, it's

Akilah! Obviously. Akilah Hughes, she's

hilarious. I laugh so so much when I'm

watching her videos. she's absolutely

brilliant and recently, she even started

making more relaxed vlogs which are

filmed in a very artistic way and I

really really like them. They're

refreshing and they're a nice balance

between her more scripted comedy videos.

So then there's Andrew Huang. high five, Andrew! [high five sound]

Andrew is one of the most versatile,

creative musicians that I've ever seen. I

feel like he's best known for making

music out of items that you traditionally

wouldn't make music out. of he's really

good at making sponsored videos with

products integrated and he's so clever! I

don't even know how to explain to you

how great Andrew is except to tell you

that you need to go and just listen to

something that he's made. I haven't

mentioned this yet, I probably should, but

you can go into the video description

below for a list of links to all of these

channels that I'm mentioning. next up is

LBP! Lauren Dixon-Paver. she makes some

really adorable DIY tutorials and she

has a ton of tutorials on really cute

plushies. I know that a lot of you like

plushies like I do so you should

definitely check out her channel. so the

next one is Free Dad Videos. I found out

about this channel through my friend

Josh who actually knows Matt who makes

Free Dad Videos. funny story, my husband's

name is Matt so we're "Lauren and Matt"

and Josh always talks about "the other

Lauren and Matt" and eventually Josh told

me that "the other Matt" who is married

to "the other Lauren" actually also has a

youtube channel. so, weird. small world. but

Matt makes really funny and really well

produced skits starring his kids and

they are great! they're really into video

games and Star Wars and just, my

nerdy parent heart is so happy whenever

i watch their videos. They've also been

doing some really cute music videos

lately. I tried to pick channels that go

across lots of different genres for this

list, so this next one is a beauty

channel called freshblush! her name is

Erin and she has so much personality. she

does amazing everyday makeup looks as

well as really dramatic costume makeup

that is just gorgeous and I really like

listening to what she has to say. her

voiceovers aren't just about what she's

doing as far as the makeup goes, she

incorporates a lot of really interesting

conversation into her videos and I

really like that about her! the next one

is a booktuber that I just recently

found out about and I've been going

through and watching a bunch of her old

videos and I just think they're great.

her name is Ariel Bissett and she's

really fun to watch! she has a great

on-screen personality and she's so

enthusiastic and passionate about

everything she's talking about. she also

makes zines and so she's done a lot of

really cool DIY videos on how to make

zines, how to carve your own rubber

stamp, and she's just great. and I have

one more to recommend

and her channel is called with

Wendy. she makes and designs her own

clothes and she does some really great

not intimidating, approachable sewing

tutorials. she has a lot of videos on how

to alter existing clothes and also how

to make clothes from scratch. and making

clothes is a project that's been very

intimidating for me for whatever reason.

I sew pretty much every day of my life

but I make accessories and plush toys

and I am just for whatever reason really

scared to make clothing. and watching her

videos is really making me want to at

least give it a try, even if I screw it

up, the least I can do is attempt to do

it. so if you've been thinking about

learning how to sew clothes, definitely

check out her channel. so those are all

of the recommendations that I have for

you today! in the comments below, I would

love if you could recommend some of your

favorite youtubers! I'm always looking

for new people to watch, especially DIY

tutorials and creative video blogs.

there are just so many people doing such

great work out here and I just want more

people to see it! read the video

description below for a list of links to

all of these amazing channels. thanks for

watching and I'll see you soon!
