Queens of the Stone Age have been my favourite band as long as I can remember and are the main inspiration for learning to play guitar and write songs.
Last time they visited New Zealand I was 10 years old and a bit young to go, so I was so stoked to find out they were coming this year, I've been busking my ass off to save for the show... of my lifetime.
So you can imagine how destroyed I was to find out it wasn't at the large capacity/ all ages Vector Arena, like the last 2 times they played here, but at the much smaller Logan Campbell Centre.... and it is R18. (I'm 13).

um, I get tested.
So, it's kind of like a before and after thing so I know my status before I go into it
and then I know my status afterwards
and it's really helpful for whoever I'm also seeing.
If I'm not comfortable with the person and I don't know their status yet
condoms are used, always.
Well, I started using condoms from when I started having sex.
because I thought it was very important to do so
Being that I am bisexual it's kind of like a multi-usage
for the condoms. You know if I am having
sexual relations with a person that is a female, it's also for the pregnancy as well as the
you know, the transmitted diseases and infection prevention.
And then, if I am having sex with a male, it's also for the, you know, the diseases and infection prevention as well.
IUDs do not protect you from STIs
um, and, I would still use condoms when I was having multiple partners
um, I'd always make sure to get tested
if I was having - if I was getting into a new relationship with a new person
Um, also, how I protect myself with STIs or STDs with any, um
intimate partner that I have
um, I use condoms, like if I have toys, any type of protection barrier
um, for my partner and I.
I think that a lot of people think that women who have sex with other women are
immune from that somehow, or just not gonna get an STI
and I know that that's a myth.
Um, so, the IUD just exists for my body when I'm having sex with a woman
but I would use a different barrier method depending on what kind of sex we're having
whether that's gloves or a, um, dental dam or something like that
to protect from STIs
If I did have sex with a man or someone with a penis
I would absolutely insist that we use a condom
on top of the IUD.
Um, we both, um, before we got into a relationship we both got tested
to make sure, because he was supposedly blessed with a whole bunch of girlfriends
who did not use condoms. So, usually any time he uses condoms he doesn't enjoy it.
Me personally, I don't really like condoms either
but I do know better.
So, just to make sure we get tested and I'm in a monogamous relationship
so I'm not cheating, he's not cheating, and everything has been awesome so far.
And I'm gonna get tested probably coming up soon,
this upcoming fall, so hopefully everything goes right and we're okay still, so.
Right now, I'm monogamous with my partner so I don't really worry
about STIs, um.
I think condoms are really awesome, though.
And that's something to really keep in mind when you're using birth control, is that it doesn't
cover you against everything.
Before me and my girlfriend was in a relationship,
like, we was friends.
And like, um, you know, we started to figure out if we wanted to date or not
and um, yeah.
Before we had any sexual contact, like, we decided to go to the doctor together.
Cause you shouldn't rush into things and just, you know
cause then you'll find yourself in a bad situation
if you rush into things. But if you take your time and talk it out
and talk it over, and make a decision to go to the doctor together, that's the best way to do it.

Advanced Glutes Exercise - Supine Hip Flx + Hip Ext - Duration: 2:24.
Welcome back to Foundation's YouTube channel, recently we did a video on getting your glutes
to fire on some hip priming.
I suggest you do that before you do what were about to do next.
This is a little more advanced, a little more challenging.
Um if your hips aren't firing, chances are you could from across the room look like you're
doing it perfectly and you're not doing it right.
So, get your glutes firing, go watch the other video and if you can do all that stuff great,
if you can't do that stuff, do that stuff first then come back here and this will definitely
take it up a notch for you.
So standard issue foam roll, it doesn't even have to be a foam roll it could just
be a little bit of a lift.
What you're going to do is you're going to lay that on the floor.
You're going to put that at your heels.
Ok.
Your hands are going to be out to 45 degrees.
If this is 90, ill bring them down to 45, palms up.
Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to press my hands into the table.
I'm not going to let my back arch.
So, keep my abdominals nice and tight, keep my back flat pushed into the table.
As I do that I feel everything here has got to kick in a little bit more.
So, create some pressure.
What I'm going to do is I'm going to march the leg up as high as I can and then using
my glutes on the left I'm going to lift my leg up and then I come down.
Come back down, switch sides, there lift my leg up.
Ok, common errors is when you come up like this you bend that knee and come up you're
using those hamstrings like crazy and you skip the glutes.
So, you may need a mirror you may need somebody to watch you or just try and be as honest
as you can about not bending that knee.
So again tighten the abdominals, push into the hand.
Come here, lift up just hold that.
I can feel that glute on the right side kicking in when I switch glutes on the left.
Ok, so definitely a more challenging activity to get your glutes to fire.
Um it's very easy to overuse the hamstrings when you're doing that but that's what
we're trying to do here is train yourself to do that type of hip extension while using
the glutes.
So, try it out see what you think.
