AFTER EFFECTS – How to do Square Video for Facebook and Instagram [TUTORIAL] - Duration: 1:49.

After Effects!

Hey guys! Just wanted to do a really quick tutorial here to teach you how to

do square videos for Facebook and Instagram. Square videos are now getting

increasingly popular. I think the statistics are that out of the top 20

videos posted on Facebook and Instagram 18 out of those are square videos. That's

90%. If you're serious about doing videos and getting noticed on social

media doing square videos is a must, so let me teach you how to do it really

quickly. You have your video here from BTS because they're really popular and I

wanted to do something you know looped with them. And you got here.. "Did you see

in my bag, did you see in my bag" but I want to do this for social media and I

want it to be noticed, so all I got to do is create a new comp, but first, let's go

to this comp here and see the settings. The settings here is 1920 by 1080 and 23

frames per second. Great! So now we're going to create a new comp by pressing

Apple+N, and instead of being 1920 by 1080 it's going to be 1080 by 1080 to

create the square pixels. But the aspect ratio does change to 1 to 1 which is

great! And that's pretty much all you got to do. I'll label this square video, and

as soon as I do that I create a new comp here, and all I got to do is drag the mic

drop comp into here, and now you see that it's square video formatted for Facebook.

Now to export it it's easy as pie. You just add it to the render queue right

here. You can do best settings which is always great. Instead of doing lossless

I'm gonna do H264 because it's for social media, and then here we do the square

video. Sure! Click on save. And then we'll output it. Which is great! How it looks

like right now, which is gonna be really cool. And it's even easier to do it on

Premiere Pro which I'm gonna teach you right now. So, let's see what it's like in

Premiere Pro.

PREMIERE PRO – How to do Square Video for Facebook and Instagram [TUTORIAL] - Duration: 2:52.

All right, so now in Premiere Pro we already have our video loop here that we

wanted to output to square video. So, let's see how we do it for Premiere Pro. So you

have your composition here, which I'll check the settings is 23.976, 1920 by

1080. And all you do is you right-click on the screen here which is the project

screen, and you're gonna do new item, sequence. Once you do that you can click

on instead of sequence presets you click on settings and instead of QuickTime DV, because

right now they have this locked, right? You can't click on anything. So then you go

to custom, right, and you change this to 23.976 to match this guy and then on the

frame size you will also do 1080 by 1080. Because it's normally 1920 by 1080 so if

you want to make a square that's 1080 by 1080. If it was 1280 by 720 it would be

720 by 720. And you do square pixels, you do progressive-scan, and then you leave

it at that. And you can call this square video

PR for premiere, and then click okay. So now you have that here and then the

best thing for you to do or easiest thing is to bring it down here to the

bottom of this thing, because now it's stacked, so all you got to do is just

click on this guy here Apple+C, paste it over here Apple+V, and then I will

turn off the audio so it doesn't get crazy with the sound, but that's all you

got to do see? Now you've got this awesome square video for Facebook here

I'm premiere. But you still gotta output it right? So you press Apple+M to output

it, and you see it looks a little bit weird now. And it's telling me to do it

for the Android tablet which is not what I want, so what I normally do is.. I'll

click all the way down here to YouTube and now we'll go to 1080p 23.976

it is h.264 here because it is for

Facebook. And then normally this box here this chain link is checked. You uncheck

this box, and you take out the 1920 you put 1080, and look at

the square on the left now, how it's gonna format perfectly for social media.

Great right? So then you do have progressive-scan, square pixels, which is

great. You do want to always check on render at maximum depth because it's

gonna give you the best quality image. And click that right here too - and then the

bitrate for Facebook? I think it can handle.. I don't know.. 14 maybe 15 here on

the vbr 2 pass. And then you just click on where you

want to save this video and click Save. And then just click on export or click

on the render queue. And it will export it for you. Alright! Thanks again! Bye-bye!

Alexis Sanchez says goodbye to Arsenal by following Manchester United on Instagram

Alexis Sanchez is set to be announced as a Manchester United player in the next 24 hours and it looks like the Chilean has already put the past behind him.

United have agreed to make the 29-year-old their highest paid player of all-time and his arrival is a significant coup given Sanchez was likely to join Manchester City up until a fortnight ago.

The Chile international arrived in Manchester yesterday to complete his medical and was spotted at Old Trafford late on Sunday night, where he was spotted wearing Uniteds iconic number 7 shirt.

With an announcement imminent, Sanchez is clearly desperate to get going at the Theatre of Dreams and followed his new club on Instagram today.

  Sanchez still follows Arsenal and a number of his team-mates but the Chileans 7.8m followers should be seeing him in a United shirt at some point in the next day.

The former Barcelona man could train with his new team-mates on Wednesday and is in line to make his debut against Yeovil on Friday. Sanchezs Premier League debut for the Red Devils could come against Spurs on January 31st at Wembley.

  United were desperate to sign Sanchez but had to persuade Henrikh Mkhitaryan to join the Gunners to get the deal over the line.

The Armenian had reservations about joining Arsenal but hes been in London over the weekend to complete his move.
