Cops Order Evacuation But Doctor Ignores Them, Heads Straight For The NICU

When mandatory evacuation orders are issued, it's usually a good idea to heed them.

To ignore them is taking your life into your own hands.

Often, first responders won't even be able to get to you if you get in trouble, which

is partly why the evacuation orders were put in place to begin with.

But one Santa Rosa, California, doctor decided it was worth putting his life at risk to make

sure others were safe, and now that brave doctor is being hailed a hero.

Dr. Scott Witt got the call at 2:00 a.m. that the Santa Rosa Regional Hospital was being

evacuated in the face of encroaching fires.

Immediately, he thought of the eight premature babies in his care.

It was his responsibility to keep them safe.

Witt couldn't get in touch with anyone at the hospital because they had lost power,

so he told his family to evacuate without him, got in his truck, and headed for the

hospital.

After seeing the traffic caused by the evacuation orders and realizing it would take him way

too long to get to the hospital, Witt turned around and went home.

But he wasn't about to leave those babies!

While his truck couldn't make it through the traffic, Witt knew his motorcycle could.

He hopped on his bike and headed back toward the hospital, weaving through the lines of

cars – and the encroaching flames.

"In California, you can split lanes so I just kind of went down the middle of lanes

and got past everybody," he explained.

Finally, Witt made it to the hospital and ordered all the babies to be loaded into ambulances.

It took several trips to get them all to safety and they faced many dangers along the way.

Witt road his bike alongside the ambulance as it transported the little ones.

At one point, they drove over a live power line that had been knocked to the ground,

sending sparks flying everywhere and putting the courageous doctor in danger of electrocution.

Thankfully, three hours later, the babies were all safe.

Sadly, when Witt and his wife returned to their house after the evacuation orders were

lifted, all they found was a pile of ash.

It was a heartbreaking loss, but Witt says he was more concerned about the lives of his

patients than his material belongings.

Witt's wife, Megan, is incredibly proud of her brave husband.

"If my baby was in the hospital…

I mean, I'm a little biased, but I would totally want them to be in some hands like

Scott's," she said.

Thousands who have heard Witt's story are hailing him a hero, but the humble doctor

insists it was just another day on the job.

"You just gotta get done what has to be done," he said.

Tennessee Williams, that iconic American playwright,

known for his thick Southern drawl

and fierce female characters, dominated Broadway

in the 1940s and '50s

with masterpieces such as "The Glass Menagerie,"

"A Streetcar Named Desire,"

and "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof."

The plays of Tennessee Williams are intimate,

confessional, autobiographical.

His earliest inspiration was his family,

in particular, his mother, Edwina,

and his sister, Rose,

who inspired many of his famous characters,

like Laura in "The Glass Menagerie."

His relationships with friends and lovers

are also in his plays.

Stanley Kowalski from "Streetcar"

is woven through with elements of Williams' lover,

Pancho Rodriguez.

He mined his life in ways

that could sometimes be self-destructive.

Tennessee Williams started writing as a child,

and at first, he thought he wanted to be a poet.

Hart Crane was his favorite

and he carried this copy of his poems everywhere with him

until he died, and he filled the flyleaves of the book

with musings-- "Alas, to be the poet,

the dreamer," and his addresses;

42 Aberdeen Place in St. Louis;

722 Toulouse Street, his first apartment

in the French Quarter of New Orleans;

1431 Duncan Street in Key West, his final home

and where he lived with his lover Frank Merlo

for many years;

and 151 E. 37th Street.

He was living in this apartment in New York

during the summer of 1940

when he was working on what would become

his first commercially produced play.

This was a period of what he called in his diary

"appalling promiscuity and incredible productivity."

A friend of his later recalled

that Williams could sit in an apartment

with people bustling all around him,

typing 90 words a minute, plainly deaf and blind

to all the bedlam.

That play that he was working on, "Battle of Angels,

premiered at the end of 1940.

This production was an absolute disaster.

The smoke pots were over-primed

and exploded on the opening night.

The theater was evacuated.

The play faced threats of censorship

and the Broadway run was cancelled,

but this was followed just a few years later

by "The Glass Menagerie,"

which brought the catastrophe of success.

Williams wrote for several hours every day that he could

and "The Glass Menagerie," "A Streetcar Named Desire,"

"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," and other plays

emerged slowly from stories, poems, one-acts,

and journal fragments.

He saved all of those drafts

and this is the subject of a major exhibition

at the Morgan Library and Museum.

Writing was essential to Williams.

He wrote and revised compulsively.

In 1981 he told "The Paris Review,"

"My work is emotionally autobiographical.

"It has no relationship to the actual events of my life,

"but it reflects the emotional currents of my life.

"I try to work every day

"because you have no refuge but writing.

"When you're going through a period of unhappiness,

"a broken love affair, the death of someone you love,

"or some other disorder in your life,

then you have no refuge but writing."

ANTONIO CONTE is fearing for Chelsea's Champions League chances — but NOT for his job.

A second-half defensive collapse in a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth leaves the Blues now  just two points above fifth-placed Tottenham.

  Antonio Conte insists he is not fearing for his job at Chelsea.

Under-pressure boss Conte insists he is doing a "great job" despite Bournemouth dishing out Chelsea's heaviest defeat at Stamford Bridge for almost two years.

But Conte admitted: "We must be worried and  have to struggle for a Champions League position.

In this video i'll do a review of a really cool web-based application that will allow

you to do some really cool stuff is can allow you to monitor all of these places in dark

corners on the Internet is can allow you to monitor keyword phrases like your brand name

it can also allow you to monitor phrases so you can use it as a social selling tool to

find where people are talking about and asking for recommendations on services or products

that you provide and also with my experience using it I've been able to use this to identify

people that are stealing content from my website so this tool does a lot and the reason I ask

them in the middle making lots of different content right now I've got several videos

I'm in the process of making one on SEO a couple longer format videos on how to create

an online course how to do all these things I'm in the middle of all that but I had to

hit the brakes because of this app because it's on AppSumo right now and it's a really

good deal so I went and unpacked this whole deal in this video in a show you my dashboards

that is generated on a tell you how it works and, to do all of that if not familiar with

mean it so okay they got to plans once 49 for a lifetime account the other ones 99 for

lifetime account I purchased the 99 account and the difference is usually limitations

in that's what it is in this deal as well it's the limitations on how much data and

all that in process in a month I'll show you that in a moment there's also a difference

in the 99 plan allows you to export reports I haven't use that feature yet so I I don't

really know the value of it I would imagine if you're going to use this for customers

or clients you might want to be able to export those reports she can change the data and

send it to your client so essentially what this is is it so that's a web app and what

you're going to do is you're going to put phrases in and they give you some really advanced

the targeting options that you can monitor these phrases for them being entered on the

Internet on Facebook there are some limitations get into on Facebook twitter 12 different

places actually and so here's a little snapshot now they are there's a couple places that

they're actually adding that aren't in this list one of them is read it I think that would

be really good more for the social selling aspect of things and also there adding yelp

they say but right now it's listing Twitter YouTube Google plus inuring to see when I

show you the dashboard YouTube YouTube it's not really looking at the comments on YouTube

it's I think it's looking more for the phrases in the titles of the videos but I could be

wrong and and forums online forms blogs which is just the Internet Q&A sites and news these

are amazing and let me tell you if you have any business where you're a may be up personal

brand or you sell products you want to know what people are saying and it's kind of you

know hard to find that information I've tried there's a free tool called Google alerts and

I've been using Google alerts forever and I'll be the first to tell you Google alerts

really sucks I'm really sex XA just came up with a another idea you could probably use

this for skip tracing of your skip tracer and you want to monitor someone's name you

could pop that and anyways I guess you could use this tool to become a cyber soccer I'm

not recommending you do that anyways let's get straight to it so anyways work it out

your to create a project and you're gonna put these different criteria in of what you

want to monitor it will there's options for it to email you when it finds the things there's

this really great interface or you can actually responded to a lot of it right within the

interface but if it's like a website link or something like that you can click on it

and it will show you and kind of the right side of this dashboard interface and you can

respond if it's maybe a comment on a blog or maybe a blog article you want to leave

a comment you can do all of that now I think it's really interesting the concept of social

selling and that's where say you're a logo designer and someone is on Twitter saying

hey does anyone know a good logo designer so you could do monitoring for good logo designer

or something like that and then you'll be alerted and then you can pop in there and

say oh I've got specials right now blah blah so you can do this thing called social selling

and you could also do something they are recommending is negative will you follow your competitors

with it and you can find negative sentiments so someone's complaining about a competitor

of yours you can maybe go in and try to help that person and also maybe should introduce

them to your product or service of force for people that are having trouble I actually

see this a lot sometimes when people have problems with web hosting companies another

web hosting company will come in try to give them an answer and say oh this is us and we

don't do that and you know what's funny about this deal is I actually mentioned this deal

in my last AppSumo review because I was on one of on Facebook and one of my Facebook

friends whose posts are made public he had made a post about AppSumo and how their deals

keep taking money out of his pocket he was actually saying good things about AppSumo

and eight hours later AppSumo responded to his post on his Facebook page and I knew immediately

they were using this app to monitor Facebook to find whenever anyone enters anything with

the words AppSumo in one one phrase like that and they actually responded to it was a most

hilarious thing if you watch my last review videos on MissingLettr you'll see in that

video actually show what my friend said and what AppSumo said back I I immediately knew

they were using Awario okay so let's jump through to talk about the limitations and

what you get on these deals in the morning to jump into the app itself so here's what

you get for the $49 plan to get 15 alerts now these alerts aren't single keyword phrases

they allow you to get pretty complex with it so 15 can actually go a lot further than

you might think you could go and then there going to give their can attract 100,000 new

mentions per month now unless you're a huge brand or ace a big social media influencer

I doubt you're going to hit that And it's going to be 10,000 historical mentions per

alert what that is in this is something really unique it's can actually show you what people

said in the past so if you start using it this app today it's not getting to show you

things moving forward it's going to show you things in the past that right there is huge

then there's an app analytics now if you wanted the $99 plan which is on that I got I got

just in case I'm not saying you want that or this it's up to you obviously a lot of

these are tripled to get 15 alerts 300,000 new mentions 30,000 historical mentions per

alert same napkin analytics but then you get shareable reports I I don't really have a

ton the details on that I was trying to figure it out and I just wanted to do the video instead

and you get data export so I think those are probably more targeted to people that might

be using this to monitor customers or things that nature you want that data out so that

you can maybe put it into your own report in ominously what one of those daily mention

emails actually want tonight to show you right now here is Juan this is one from January

20 which is about 11 days ago and it showed me these things that were being said and it

said it found for new mentions that I could click on this it takes me to the app to see

them all and so that is what these email alerts look like soap as usual then the AppSumo deal

sometimes the deal changes over time so I'm just saying what it is today it changes usually

in a good way so if it is going to change just come here and take a look and take a

look at the comments right here the reviews you probably see one for me and if you actually

see one for me go ahead and click that up vote error arrow not ever okay here is their

website now might look different from you I noticed her doing a B split testing on their

website so it might have this darker color or the lighter color here is what it says

it's edits of monitoring right now and I can confirm that it is monitoring these because

I've received alerts from all of these various platforms here's the main selling points on

this grow brand awareness that means your monitoring your brand in real time it's so

crucial to do that and also has this sentiment meter so it's trying to save it's a positive

sentiment or a negative one I find it kinda iffy you know whether I find value in that

or not research I think it's a fantastic research tool by far you can see what people are saying

about things engage with customers they show this a little yelp thing but it's not working

with yelp just yet find sales opportunities I think that is one of the huge selling points

of this finding sales opportunities so I mean that's where you can make a deal really pay

for itself reach out to influencers influencers these are people out show you the influencer

dashboard in a moments and okay lists right here to take a look at their features page

nonstop monitoring and that's what I really like hello I love automation with some things

out there working for me and then pushing that information to me I love that your important

conversations any language any resource this is actually good because I know that we live

in a global world lots of different languages so you might want to go and might want to

check out the AppSumo page 2 check on the languages that it supports okay the relevant

discussions this is actually really good when you're entering your keyword phrases you can

also and heard negative keywords so basically it'll take the contents the context of what

someone wrote and this is more for the lead generation side of this are the social selling

side so you can put into negative keywords you don't get alerted on that you can really

tweak these things to really produce good data for you okay and analytics mentions mobile

access mentions mobile edits it doesn't have they don't have a mobile app but it is mobile

responsive the web app itself so I don't want you to think that there is actually a mobile

app new discussions in your inbox is a saying this is what the email looks like that makes

it to your inbox email this is not what Awario's gonna look like all right let's look at the

deal now this is actually a lot of these apps in Windows I probably wouldn't purchase if

it wasn't for this AppSumo deal I gotta say this is an app that I probably after using

it for the last almost 2 weeks now I would probably purchase a starter package if if

there wasn't an AppSumo deal available for it because it's it's pretty good I mean it's

is pretty good so you can see you're getting a much better deal all around with the AppSumo

deal here's what it looks like when you login this is my dashboard and I have a pulled up

here and so you can see some information right here you can see your new mentions you can

see where these are happening what parts of the globe these are happening you can see

where they're coming from right here and you can see taught this more like a snapshot of

data that you can get out of the reports now this is for this particular project if I had

multiple projects and I don't I can click right here in switch between them so if you

are maybe using this for separate brands that you have or maybe some separate customers

you can have the dashboards look different based upon that okay so right here is what

the alert results are going to look like so you can see right here are the different areas

of the web that it's monitoring and I can filter this so if I wanted to uncheck one

of these is knocking to show me those conversations you can see 648 conversations that's a lot

so actually right here is interesting here something it found and guess what this is

one of the websites that stealing my content I have send them what are they called the

takedown notices I've sent them takedown notices before and they keep their using an automatic

tool that's probably taking my data putting on their website and I have to email them

I am really impressed with that so okay this is what the alert that generates all those

conversations it's actually very basic I didn't invest a lot of time tweaking it so I just

name the alert WPCrafter.com I put my brand-name and I just put two variations in my website

language so actually it's a great here so I can actually search for it in all of these

languages here in that is pretty deep in the language department and I can go right here

and I can monitor it specifically on these countries or I can just check them all if

I wanted to but I think by default it chose these I'm sure I didn't go here and just choose

these particular countries but you can see here look at look this is just going down

and down and down with different place I probably should be monitoring it on all those countries

anyways right here you can choose your sources and if I didn't want one of these to monitor

one of these I don't have to I don't have it connected to my Instagram I really need

to do that and then we got email notifications you don't have to do this or you can do it

on these either a daily or weekly it be nice if this could be real time for urgent things

but you know it daily is actually totally fine so I'm good with that and then you can

save it now there's advanced search in Boolean search I'm not to get too deep into that in

this video but this is actually where the power is of refining your different searches

now I really do need to dig into that I may now click on it and see what options there

are for these actually I'm not can it does is videos are to get into long but this is

to get the most value out of it and have it be doing more work for me now this still isn't

and be for everyone I think if you're a small business serving a real tightknit small community

and it's a local community I don't think they get a ton of value out of this app so it's

probably not can it be for you unless your ship if you're maybe have an international

presence or you're maybe a little bigger of a brand or you want to just monitor competition

I think if you have the ability the ability to sell your services or your products in

outside of the local area that's where you're really going to have the benefit of this also

on the limitation side I know I wish it did this when I know that it's probably never

going to be able to because is more the Facebook thing but I find that a lot of the conversations

that I'm interested in monitoring actually occur in Facebook groups and Facebook groups

kind of have a a wall you have to be joining them and there isn't APIs that Facebook offers

to allow an app like this to get into those Facebook groups to find these mentions I really

wish that was possible it's not Awario's fault it's not their fault at all it's just not

a technical technically possible right now that's really where I would want the monitoring

to go on because I think that is the biggest opportunity but obviously you have to pay

attention to everything you can just focus on the one thing so if I ever had a wish list

that would be that Facebook would allow that some don't use this on the Facebook side of

it and say I know there's more conversations going on but it's not finding them and that's

because also if someone on an individual has their on their individual profile if when

they post something it's all private because of privacy obviously is a good thing I am

private to this tool has no way of finding those things so that is so don't get this

expecting it to find everything on Facebook is a can hit those groups and it can hit when

someone has a private profile and so that's pretty much this apt in a nutshell if you

scrape all the state apart is it all out and find what you're looking for so there really

5 SCOTT STEINER: If you ever feel the need to listen to an ex-WWE star bash the company, then look absolutely no further than 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner who's made crapping on the WWE a hobby and strong passion of his.

Though Scott Steiner rose to fame in the later years of WCW, he still had a run in the WWE during the early 2000's era, and while he never captured the World Championship, the WWE offered a large platform for Steiner to continue wrestling.

However, due to Scott being a hot-headed arrogant guy who's cardio is beyond terrible, his career in the WWE didn't last very long. Being the egotistical kind of guy Steiner was, Scott truly believed he'd succeed and make it elsewhere. Despite wrestling in TNA Impact Wrestling, he's truly failed miserably in his attempts to remain a big name in the industry.

4 BRANDI RHODES: Unlike her husband Cody, Brandi Rhodes has unfortunately failed to make it outside the WWE as an in-ring wrestler. During her stay in WWE Brandi felt as though she was being held back and had a lack of opportunities, but since departing the company, Rhodes has done terribly as a wrestler.

Despite receiving multiple opportunities to become a post-WWE success story, Brandi hasn't made any impact on the Indies. The main aspect Brandi's lacking right now is in-ring talent, as she's far below most Indie women's wrestlers in that department.

Brandi Rhodes has a great look, and if she trains a bit more and improves some, there's always that chance she'll eventually succeed outside the WWE, but until that time, she's failed miserably. Thankfully, Brandi's married to one of the most successful wrestlers in the world today, Cody Rhodes.

3 ALBERTO DEL RIO AKA ALBERTO EL PATRON: I think it's clear that Alberto El Patron has a bit of an ego, and his lack of a main event push during his last WWE run was the root cause of why he asked for his release from the company – pretty ungrateful for his reported million dollar/year contract.

It's not as if Del Rio was being booked like a jobber, as he won the United States Championship from John Cena in his return match. However, Alberto thought he could make it big outside WWE, and he's tried his best to do so the past couple years. Yes, Del Rio's won the GFW Global Championship since leaving WWE, but he hasn't been a very popular wrestler on the Indies despite making regular appearances.

One aspect hindering Alberto's Indie run is his constant outbursts that are covered in many major media outlets – not good for his career at all.

2 ADAM ROSE: Adam Rose was definitely a wrestler WWE held back, as his Leo Kruger gimmick could've worked well in the company. Instead, the WWE went the route with the party goer Adam Rose who had a very low ceiling regardless of his booking.

After a forgettable run in WWE that ended with Rose being suspended indefinitely for his domestic violence arrest, Rose has failed miserably in his attempts to make it outside the WWE. Like many fans, Rose felt as though he'd make it on the Indies following his WWE release, but unfortunately for Adam, that hasn't happened.

Adam has tried a couple gimmicks over the last couple years in an attempt to reinvigorate his dying career, but none have caught on.

Now a days, you'll often find Adam Rose wrestling in what some of us like to call "bingo halls". 1 DAMIEN SANDOW: Poor Damien Sandow. The man behind the insanely popular 'Mizdow' character in WWE (Aaron Haddad) has unfortunately done terrible post-WWE.

Sandow was one of the Superstars who was released during the company's annual 'spring cleaning' back in 2016, and though I'm certain Damien fully believed he could make it outside WWE considering he was a recognizable star, he's failed miserably in his attempts.

Following his firing from WWE, Sandow tried his luck in TNA, but his run was short-lived and amounted to absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. In April of last year, Sandow departed from Impact Wrestling after a forgettable run and claimed he'd be taking a break from the wrestling business to focus on getting an acting career off the ground.

I wish Damien Sandow luck in his Hollywood aspirations, but until he's proven otherwise, he's been a complete flop outside the WWE.

5 Wrestlers Who Thought They Could Make It Outside WWE But Couldn't - Part 2

5 JACK SWAGGER: Jack Swagger has spread himself too thin since his WWE release, and he could be referred as being a 'jack of all trades', but not a master of any of them.

Swagger's currently pursuing an MMA career in Bellator as we speak all while performing weekly on the Indies. Considering a good portion of Jack's time is being spent training for his upcoming MMA debut, his wrestling career has suffered unfortunately.

Swagger's only been performing for lower level Indie events, and he's failed miserably up to this point to 'make it' outside the WWE. However, unlike many of the other performers on this list, Jack Swagger real-name Jake Hager has a great opportunity to make it big if things pan out MMA-wise.

Swagger has a background in wrestling, and considering legitimate wrestling's one of the most useful backgrounds for MMA, Jack has a good chance of succeeding.

4 AUSTIN ARIES: I believe the main problem with Austin Aries is the fact that Aries feels as though he's a bigger deal than he actually is. Austin's WWE career ended rather uneventfully, and Austin Aries hasn't taken the Indie wrestling scene by storm since his release.

In the WWE's Cruiserweight Division, Austin had the potential to be a star, but his ego unfortunately got in the way of things panning out the way many fans imagined it would.

Aries felt as though 205 Live was beneath him, and although it may have been, having a poor attitude backstage isn't the way to go about proving your point and getting WWE's management behind you.

Instead, it rubbed company officials the wrong way, and Austin was quickly granted his release. Since then, Aries hasn't done much, and his ego must be damaged slightly considering he's failed miserably outside WWE.

3 YOSHI TATSU: Despite the fact that the WWE Universe was pleasantly surprised with Shinsuke Nakamura winning the 2018 Royal Rumble match, the WWE hasn't always had a great track record of booking Japanese talents well.

Yoshi Tatsu definitely comes to mind as one who was booked horrendously. Tatsu showed potential early on during his ECW days, but it wasn't long at all before the WWE went the typical route of booking a talented foreign wrestler into a comedy act.

Yoshi would end up getting released in 2014, and though he aspired to make it outside WWE, Tatsu's unfortunately failed pretty miserably in his attempts to do so. He has tried his luck in NJPW and most recently AJPW, but he's been used as nothing more than a secondary talent. Yoshi Tatsu may have been booked terribly in WWE, but his pay must've been better than what he's earning today.

2 CHRIS MASTERS: Chris Masters messed up one too many times in WWE, with multiple Wellness Policy violations. Masters may not have been a great in-ring talent, but he would've became a much bigger star had he stayed away from the steroids or 'the juice'.

Since Masters' release from WWE in 2011, he's been floundering on the Indies and in Impact Wrestling under the ring name 'Chris Adonis'. Not only has Chris lost most of his impressive physique that had made him stand out from the rest of the pack early on in his career, but he's also lost pretty well all of his momentum on the Indies, and he continues to wrestle at small venues.

With how low the WWE placed Masters on the card towards the end of his career, I'm sure Chris though he'd make it outside the company without the slightest problem – that hasn't been the case though.

1 BULL DEMPSEY: Though Bull Dempsey never made it up to the WWE's main roster, he still was a regular fixture on NXT television up until his release from the company in February 2016.

Perhaps Bull never screamed 'Superstar', but he still could've been utilized as a talented mid-card big man. However upon his release, Bull Dempsey was adamant that he'd succeed elsewhere, but up to this point, he's completely failed to do so.

Dempsey's made no major impact on the Indies yet, and he's been stuck performing at smaller Indie venues in from of just dozens of wrestling fans – quite dismal for a former NXT Superstar.

Bull's appeared sporadically in ROH, but he's been featured as nothing more than a sideshow attraction. However, Bull Dempsey's still quite young at just 30 years old, so he still has the opportunity to find his way on the Indies.
