Carnival Tangerine Fritters (chiacchiere or bugie) | Eggless - Duration: 7:20.Hello everyone.
Chiacchiere are a typical Italian carnival dessert.
Here is a very simple recipe.
Flour.
Salt, a pinch of baking soda.
Sugar.
Extra virgin olive oil (3 tbsps).
Tangerine juice.
Slice the peel of 1-2 tangerines thinly.
Knead the dough for a few minutes to obtain this result.
Cut in half.
Lightly flour the surface and roll out the dough.
It should be this thin.
Cut like this...
...and fry.
The frying oil should not be too hot.
This will not take too long.
When golden-brown, remove them from the pan.
Our crispy chiacchiere are ready.
As a final touch, dust them with powdered sugar.
I hope you enjoyed my recipe.

INFJ Career Advice - Can I Be Good at Sales or Promotion?! - Duration: 5:38.Hey Dan here and we have a question from an infj about having to sell yourself
and should you basically enter a career or build a business where you have to
sell or promote yourself and the short answer is yes but I'm gonna explain why
you should and how you should do it I am an infj all my life I've been very
active through dancing and the arts I've always had an interest for health and
wellness and have been contemplating a career change to personal training I'm
not sure about it sometimes because I tend to come off as very soft-spoken but
I believe I'm good at connecting with people one on one I know as a trainer
you have to sell yourself to build clients what are your thoughts on this
as a career okay this is a great question because I think a lot of people
hold themselves back from pursuing the career or business they really want
because they're worried about one small aspect of that and one of the most
common if not the most common aspect of that is having to sell yourself first of
all I have a great I like to think great twenty minute video on selling as an
introvert or someone who doesn't like to pressure others and I would HIGHLY
encourage you to watch that video I walk you through the actual strategy of
selling if you don't want a hard sell and it's actually more effective than
hard selling and that brings me to my point here is that your traditional
image of like a personal trainer or gym salesman like hey bro 20 sessions 20
sessions two-year contract I'll give you a good price that doesn't well it does
work but that is not the best way to sell it is not the most effective way
and more and more is it's becoming like dated and people are very aware of that
and so if you think of the traditional salesperson like the the gym owner or
the used-car salesman or whatever that is not what good sales is good sales is
about connecting with people it's about perhaps being quiet soft-spoken
listening to them learning about your client and figuring out how you can help
them with that really good connection and so the way that would work as like a
personal trainer is you organize meetings with people you know
however they come to whether it's through a gym through your website
something like that and you would ask some questions about their goals you
would learn about what they're trying to achieve you might occasionally share
stories of your past clients or offer a little insight but primarily you would
just listen to them and take notes learn about what they're trying to do and then
from there you would eventually put forward like a proposal or your thoughts
on working together and that is going to be a lot more effective than putting
pressure on someone imagine this right you are your own future client right so
you're going and looking at gyms and personal trainers and you go to a place
and they come up to you and they're just like hey you're trying to get you're
trying to get buff right okay cool let me tell you about the weight and the
truth is you're not trying to get buff you have some back pain and you've been
trying to learn about flexibility and all that not build muscle but they don't
listen right this help they show you all the weights they show you all the
equipment they tell you about like how late they're open but you don't really
care because you're an early morning person and that and then at the end of
this conversation they just say alright here's like a 12 month contract sign
here like let's do it how keen are you gonna be on that right
now some people will join because they wanted a gym anyhow or they just don't
like saying no they have trouble with pressure right unfortunately but that's
your first experience now imagine you going another gym and they sit down and
they say hey like when are you thinking of working out what are the best hours
for you and they you know you tell the mornings and they say great you know
we're open at this time in the morning blah blah blah what are you trying to
achieve why are you coming here and you tell them about your back and then they
show you the stretching area and they talk about their own experience you know
stretching and the different exercises you do working together with them as
your trainer and all this what person are you more likely to sign up with
right of course it's the person who listens to you who gets to know you that
you're going to actually want to work with and so all that is my way of saying
do not let sales or promotion hold you back in terms of a business there are
many different strategies in my free free
a program we teach three different marketing techniques or like big picture
strategies each of those have like a dozen strategies in them but three
different approaches that involve no promotion basically in terms of
old-fashioned hard promotion and the selling technique that I mentioned I go
through in the other video requires very little if any kind of pushy or
aggressive sales it's all about listening and asking questions and then
occasionally like at the end you do have to say hey so do you want to hire me but
that's not too hard to do at that point right I'm sure you can manage that
so definitely pursue this career if you have an interest in the topic and you
think you'd be great at it do not worry about the sales aspect that will be no
problem at all thanks for watching this if you have your own question you want
to send in head over to Dreams around the world and click on the ask Dan
button and you can send a question into that way thanks for watching catch you
in another video soon [Music]

Is plastic surgery better before or after pregnancy?-Dr.Hourglass - Duration: 6:43.Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Superhourglass.
Today we are going to discuss: Is plastic surgery better before or after pregnancy?
In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know
for you to get the hourglass shape you've always wanted.
Welcome back!
Plastic surgery is a major operation, but unlike other operations, most people undergo plastic surgery
for cosmetic purposes.
Plastic surgery is effective when it comes to treating the aesthetic flaws in the body or restoring
your youthful appearance that might have been affected by factors like aging,
gravity, pregnancy, weight changes, and genetics.
Pregnancy is a dominant factor that affects the aesthetic appearance of women.
As such, patients find it difficult to decide whether they should undergo plastic surgery
before or after pregnancy.
Most plastic surgery procedures undertaken for cosmetics purposes should be undertaken
after pregnancy.
Why?
Pregnancy has the tendency to introduce a number of physical changes to the body.
During pregnancy, the body experiences hormonal changes, which ultimately result in physical
and aesthetic changes in the body.
Since you are considering plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons, you must undergo the procedure
after having your children and only when you have no plan of getting pregnant again.
Pregnancy can affect the results of plastic surgery in negative ways.
For example, a breast lift or breast augmentation procedure can make your breasts look shapelier,
perkier, and youthful.
Now if you get pregnant, it will make your breasts saggy or smaller again.
You will be required to go for a revision surgery to restore the shape and size of your breasts again.
Likewise, when you undergo the tummy tuck, your abdomen becomes firmer, toned, and youthful.
Getting pregnant after the surgery will cause the abdomen to stretch again.
The abdominal wall muscles that were tightened during the tummy tuck will again separate.
After childbirth, your abdomen will become saggy and worse in terms of aesthetic appearance.
The same holds true for other major plastic surgery procedures like buttock augmentation.
Due to the powerful effects of pregnancy on the contour of the human body, plastic surgeons
always advise patients to undergo plastic surgery after pregnancy.
Ideally, you should seek plastic surgery after your family is complete
and you have no plan of having more children.
Be sure to wait for at least six months after pregnancy to undergo plastic surgery.
If you are breastfeeding your child, you must undergo plastic surgery a few months after breastfeeding.
This is to make sure your body's natural contour becomes completely stable,
and the medications used during pregnancy do not affect your baby.
In this video we discuss: Is plastic surgery better before or after pregnancy?
In the next video we will discuss: Can liposuction and tummy tuck be performed in one session?

you in and then in bed, they're like freakshows and you're like, nah uh.
POKI: Sma-
LILY: I'd... take her on a date.
Get some tea together. Talk about life. ARIA: Lily, I think you're in like the wrong episode right now.
You're literally like dating or not dating. LILY: Future aspirations and goals and then like...
POKI: Yeah! LILY: And when the time comes, I'll ask her parents
for her... POKI: Hand in marriage?
ARIA: This is... smash or pass... Smash...
(Nobody's listening to Aria)
LILY: Sleep in the same room! You know? That's a little lewd, but...
ARIA: In the bed or not?
Oh my god. LILY: Joey Wheeler from Yugioh.
ARIA: I can't...
LILY: Why doesn't anyone like Yugioh?!
ARIA: Wait, why are you cla - no... POKI: I don't know - it's JOEY WHEELER.
LILY: He coughs like, "NEW JOSEY," you know that... POKI: I love him.
LILY: Yugi! POKI: The jokesters?...
ARIA: Actually... I like jokesters. LILY: I do like jokesters.
LILY: They're very cute. ARIA: They are.
LILY: They're tsunderes, sorta.
And the last one: Toast!
POKI: Ehhh-

LILY: It's okay. ARIA: But School Babysitters though.
LILY: What's that about?
ARIA: It's basically where super hot boys - any kind, like personality, hair colors - they have them all.
And they literally just take care of toddlers, like, during school!
It's a school program.
Lily, come on. They're really cute. And babies are cute too, they all have-

FINLAND or NORWAY - Which Military is Better? - Duration: 6:53.The Finnish Defence Forces and the Norwegian Armed Forces are very similar when it comes to their military
But also have some very different aspects to them and today here on FTD facts
We are just for fun gonna look at the differences and compare these two great military forces
Hey, everybody what's going on welcome to FTD facts. My name is Dave Walpole now
This is actually a part two to our Finland versus Norway videos now in our previous video
Which if you guys want to check it out the card is gonna be right here
Or you can wait till the end of this video
We actually talked about the general statistics of the two countries, but here on the channel
We generally don't look at these countries and try to spread hate or anything like that
These are really videos just to spread awareness
And get other countries to learn about everyone else's countries and with that being said guys if you love learning about militaries and you love
Learning about cultures and people from around the world
You want to hit that subscribe button and tune in with us every single day now for our regulars you guys know who you guys
Are at our regular?
subscribers man leave a suggestion down there in the comments section below for a few trips to the facts video
And you new people can do that, too
It's totally okay, because that's what we do here on the channel we'd love to hear from you guys
And we'd love to learn with you guys
Now first of all let's look at Finland first now it has a man power of two million three hundred thousand people with approximately
1,900 people fit for service with a total personnel of two hundred sixty two thousand fifty people and an active personnel of roughly 29
Thousand three hundred and fifty people with a reserve personnel being
Astronomically high at two hundred and thirty two thousand seven hundred people now as for Norway. It has a man power of 2 million
150,000 with approximately 1 million seven hundred and fifty five thousand people fit for service and a total personnel of seventy two thousand five hundred
People and of that the active personnel is twenty five thousand six hundred and the reserve personnel has
46,000 soldiers now one thing that is different about these two nations is that they each have different ages to join the military
For example in Finland you can be 18 years old where in Norway you have to be
19 and with that in mind Finland and Norway do have conscription and for Finland approximately 80% of the male's do the military service
Where Norway has a loose form of conscription as of?
2016 where one can object to it on moral grounds and only 8,000 to 10,000 people are conscripted a year
But now let's take a look at these two nations and break down their hardware because sometimes it's not just about soldiers
It's also about the gear that these countries got looking first at Finland the aircraft strength sits at approximately
153 with 54 fighters and the most common fighter is the f-18 Hornet their attack craft sits at
54 with 31 transport craft and approximately a helicopter strength of 64 now for Norway
It's a little bit different
They have an aircraft strength of 106 with 49 fighters and of that the f-16 is the current model
However, it is going to be replaced by the f-35b
three of them in possession and 49 on order on top of that their attack craft sits at 46 with a
transport craft of 38 and
Approximately a helicopter strength of 35 so of these two nations. They do have a pretty up-to-date military
F-18 is still a pretty reliable fighter, and the f-35 is just one of the new beasts
But let's take a look at the ground forces of these two countries for example
combat tanks in
Finland sit at a hundred and sixty now currently the leopard 2a4 and the leopard 2a6 are their main combat tank now of that
their armoured fighting vehicles sit at
1370 with a total artillery both self-propelled and towed coming in at 961 and on top of that
They have approximately 58 rocket projectors now Norway
however has 52
combat tanks with a leopard 2a4
being their main battle tank their armoured fighting vehicles is set at six hundred and eighty four and their total artillery comes in at
204
With zero rocket projectors now diving into their Navy the one thing that is common about these two countries is that their Navy is pretty
small for example in Finland they have
270 Navy assets zero aircraft carriers zero destroyers zero submarines
But eight patrol craft, and you may be wondering if there's only eight patrol craft
What is up with the rest of the 200 and sixty-two well that is small things like mine layers mine removers?
Transport craft and other things of that nature and as for Norway their Navy assets sit at only 62 however
they do have five frigates six Corvettes six submarines and sixteen patrol craft and the rest of it is made up of mine sweepers and
transport craft and Coast Guard
Now one thing that we got to remember is that yeah sure one country may have more gear than the other
But budget is a huge thing because although you might have you know more gear you might not have the budget to maintain
This gear so let's take a look at the budgets Sofer Finland their budget sits at approximately three point six billion dollars in
USD and for them they spend approximately
1.3. Percent as of
2017 of their total GDP now Norway their budget is almost twice as high equaling seven billion u.s.
dollars spending approximately
1.6. - as of
2016 of their GDP
It is also interesting to know that Norway is the highest budget per capita of all the NATO forces and of course one thing that
These two great nations and their soldiers have in common is that they are both peacekeeping countries that join UN peacekeeping missions
They've both been in multiple operations against terrorism in places like Afghanistan and of course been a part of World Relief funds
But that's it guys that is a brief look at these two countries when it comes to their military and we want to know which
One is your favorite asker it guys. I don't really care
I want to know what is your favorite fighter of those two the f-35 or the f-18 Hornet me?
I just loved the f-18 Hornet. It just sounds so much better, but other than that guys. Thanks for joining me
My name is Dave, Wawa
And I hope you guys really had a fun time learning about these two great nations and of course guys
don't forget to leave a suggestion for a future f2d facts video down there in the comment section below and keep an eye at the

The Politics Behind Clapping (Or Not) For the State of the Union | NYT - Duration: 3:40.State of the Union addresses can be a type
of partisan Pilates for some.
For others, it can be a direct ticket
to becoming an internet meme.
Behind many of these reactions
is a careful calculation, and we break it down.
You won't find many Democrats jumping out of their seats for President Trump.
Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia is the exception.
He's sitting right in the front.
And that's likely not a coincidence.
Here he is again applauding Trump's jab
at those who kneel for the national anthem.
And again after Trump mentions rising wages.
It's a re-election year for Manchin
and he's in a state that overwhelmingly voted for Trump.
Now he's apparently showing support for a president
from the opposing party.
Let's go to the other side of the aisle.
"We repeal the core of the disastrous Obamacare.
The individual mandate is now gone. Thank heaven."
Did you catch that?
Overwhelming excitement,
except for Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.
Last summer,
Murkowski played a key role to squash
efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
"Working with the Senate,
we are appointing judges who will interpret
the Constitution as written, including a great new Supreme Court justice."
President Trump threw a compliment right
at Neil Gorsuch,
but he didn't take the bait.
"... in the history of our country."
Did you notice who stood? Senator Joe Manchin.
But justices must make careful and largely coordinated
choices about what statements are uncontroversial enough
to warrant applause.
"We can achieve absolutely anything."
"America is grieving for you."
"Kenton Stacy would have died if it were not for Justin's selfless love."
Another group that attempts to play it down the middle: the military officials.
Like the justices,
they must decide what is partisan platitude
and what is not.
"And I will not stop until our veterans are properly
taken care of, which has been my promise to them
from the very beginning of this great journey."
"We must modernize and rebuild our nuclear arsenal, hopefully
never having to use it.
But making it
so strong and so powerful that it
will deter any acts of aggression
by any other nation or anyone else."
Watch as they hesitate.
"That the coalition to defeat ISIS has liberated
very close to 100 percent of the territory."
To clap or not to clap? In a deeply divided Congress,
applause or silence can send a powerful message.

Can Religion Be Sexy?: Trixie & Katya Play "Hot Or Holy" - Duration: 2:40.Now, this week's topic is spirituality.
And I think...
Ah!
The vestments, the hats, [gasp!]
the bald men.
-[purring] Nnn.
We're gonna take a look at some religious attire
and decide whether it's hot or just holy.
Here we have a Catholic Bishop.
What do you think?
...uhh...
Well, it's...
-Yeah.
-if it was old white men
being paid for their companionship.
Yeah.
He looks like -He looks like --
he fashioned a winter scarf as a belt.
Yeah, it looks like a cheap knockoff cashmere scarf
you get in Canal Street
and he just kind of wrapped it around him like an obi.
You know this is just holy.
It's just so safe and --
Yeah, it's ki-- It's like lukewarm for me.
I would say just holy.
[Buzzer] -Both: Yeah.
Next up, a...
I like the shape.
I like the hat.
[ Laughter ]
[ Snort ]
It's Father Christmas, um,
by Chanel.
Yes!
Abso-- That's exactly what it is.
-Yeah.
Yes.
-That's absolutely what it is.
-It's designer resort wear.
-Yeah.
-It's definitely hot.
-Hot.
Hot, hot, hot.
Now, this is
an Eastern Orthodox nun who is also a nurse.
-Whoo!
-How do you feel about
candid photography of yourself?
[ Whimsical tune plays ] Oh, I think -- I think
I feel I'm giving vulnerability.
-It's beautiful!
What do you do for your jowls?
Um, you just wrap it up in some stiff, starched,
uh, nursey most of the time.
-Hey, I'm looking
for a religious group that'll accept me, but,
[whispering] I can't show my neck.
-Yeah.
-This is you, girl.
-It's a definite hot.
-Yeah.
This is hot and sexy.
Wow!
Some Hasidic Jewish men celebrating Purim!
They look like they're --
I'm just gonna say this.
They look like they're dressed up
as Hasidic Jewish people for Halloween.
-That print is loud and tacky -That print is
-and wonderful.
-cool.
What's going on on the left?
I think those are the payot, but then it's like a --
-Oh.
Is that...? -fur hat.
That is the ultimate...
[snaps fingers] Face-framing corkscrew.
-[Wheezing laugh] -Yeah.
[ Organ chord climbs ]
[Thud!]
They look fierce.
The look is hot.
-Yeah, it's hot.
Hot to trot.
-The look is hot.
And, at the end of the day, -Burning up
-hot Jewish guys.
-the streets of, um,
uh, Brooklyn.
-Yeah.
Now here we have a group of Mennonites.
I've seen them in downtown Los Angeles.
-What did they do?
-They gave me a free CD.
-A CD of what?
-Of hymnals.
I like those little bonnets, too.
-Actually, I love a bonnet.
-It's
-Yeah.
-adorable.
When you wear
a bonnet all the time, and then your husband
sees you take your hair down for the first time.
If you're a Mennonite, you take your bonnet out,
your husband comes [snaps fingers] instantly.
Show a little ankle, and he comes again.
I like a people who are dressed sharp
and let me listen to hymnals.
It's hot for me.
Yeah, I agree, but I don't wanna ...'em, so it's just holy.
And that was "Hot or Holy?"

Did the State of the Union help or hurt Trump's immigration plan? - Duration: 10:16.JUDY WOODRUFF: We turn back now to last night's State of the Union address, and what it can
tell us about President Trump's agenda for the coming year.
Here to dissect the president's words, some of them, are Karen Tumulty of The Washington
Post, and our White House correspondent, Yamiche Alcindor.
And welcome to both of you.
So, the president spoke for an hour and 20 minutes.
There were a lot of words said.
But there were some specific messages.
It seemed that he spent most of the time either talking about the economy or immigration.
And I want to focus specifically on immigration reform.
He plugged his plan as a kind of ideal, middle ground.
And here is just a part of what he said, and then we're going to talk about it.
DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States: I am extending an open hand to work with members
of both parties, Democrats and Republicans, to protect our citizens of every background,
color, religion, and creed.
(APPLAUSE)
DONALD TRUMP: My duty, and the sacred duty of every elected official in this chamber,
is to defend Americans, to protect their safety, their families, their communities, and their
right to the American dream, because Americans are dreamers too.
JUDY WOODRUFF: So, Yamiche, a lot of reaction to what the president said there.
Who was he appealing to?
YAMICHE ALCINDOR: He was appealing to Republicans, the Republican base and Republican lawmakers
who are getting ready to make the case that immigration and hard-line stances need to
be followed.
He really handed a rallying cry to Republicans when he said Americans are dreamers too.
You can just see that slogan on T-shirts and on hats, because he was really trying to hammer
home the fact that Democrats are trying to pit American citizens against immigrants and
that Democrats are choosing immigrants.
And he hammered that home also with the guests that he chose.
He brought families that were impacted by immigrants, arguing that immigrants were committing
crimes in the communities and hurting people.
And that is -- that was his message, and that is -- I think, even though it was an hour
and 20 minutes, that was the most memorable part of the speech to me.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Karen, how did you see it and how effective do you think it was?
KAREN TUMULTY, The Washington Post: Well, all sides are under a very, very tight deadline
to come up with some way to deal with all of these young people, young immigrants who
were brought to this country illegally by their parents.
The president's plan, in the White House's view, has sweeteners for both sides.
It has enhanced border security.
It has restrictions on legal immigrants for the right.
And it has a very, much more expansive protection for these so-called dreamers, for liberals,
for the Democrats.
The fact is, though, the hardest, the hardest audience, the toughest part of this whole
process is going be getting it through the House.
So that is why he was making this appeal to essentially bring his own party on board his
proposal.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Is there a sense that he may have helped himself or caused problems?
YAMICHE ALCINDOR: It seems though he probably caused some problems.
The reaction from Democrats has been very much a backlash.
The CBC is using saying that he used racist rhetoric, the Congressional Black Caucus,
that is.
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is saying that he was disparaging immigrants.
And all this is happening as another shutdown is looming.
Even though we just got out of one shutdown, on February 8, they have to vote again to
fund the government.
And you can already see that immigration is going to be at the center of that.
And it's going to be a lot of the same arguments that we had before.
There is going to be either one side Democrats saying that DACA needs to be fixed immediately.
Republicans are going to be saying, we have a whole 'nother month.
Why are you holding up Americans for immigrants?
JUDY WOODRUFF: Karen, I want to ask -- bring up something else, and this is foreign policy.
He touched on a few areas, not -- it wasn't the bulk of the speech, but one of the points
he made had to do with the nuclear arsenal of United States.
Let's listen to that.
DONALD TRUMP: Around the world, we face rogue regimes, terrorist groups and rivals like
China and Russia that challenge our interests, our economy, and our values.
We must modernize and rebuild our nuclear arsenal, hopefully never having to use it,
but making it so strong and so powerful that it will deter any acts of aggression by any
other nation or anyone else.
(CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)
DONALD TRUMP: Perhaps someday in the future, there will be a magical moment when the countries
of the world will get together to eliminate their nuclear weapons.
Unfortunately, we are not there yet, sadly.
JUDY WOODRUFF: So, Karen, he is saying maybe a magical moment in the future, but we're
not there.
KAREN TUMULTY: And this is a reference to -- he wasn't very specific.
But the fact is, I think everyone in the room knew that the backdrop is the president's
plan to revamp the nuclear arsenal.
And specifically what they are talking about is adding smaller nuclear weapons, what they
call low-yield nuclear weapons, this idea that you can essentially have small nuclear
strikes.
That concerns a lot of people, because a lot of experts say this is going to expand the
circumstances under which nuclear weapons be considered a real option, including as,
for instance, retaliation for cyber-attacks.
JUDY WOODRUFF: It is interesting, Yamiche.
The president, as Karen just said, wasn't detailed.
He put out a thought and an intention, but we don't know much about it.
YAMICHE ALCINDOR: We don't know much about it.
And what is really -- what is also important about this fight is that this is the only
time in hour and 20 minutes that he mentioned the word Russia.
And it was, one, surprising that he said the word Russia in front of all these people,
but, two, the fact that he chose to use the word Russia while also casting it as a challenger
by saying they are challenging our American economy.
The important thing is, though, that Russia continues to loom over this White House as
a large cloud.
Russia has yet -- the president has yet to really explain whether or not he thinks that
Russia can influence our elections.
There is a lot of talk about the midterms and what Democrats are going to do, what Republicans
are going to do.
But what is Russia going to do?
The social media companies have not really figured out how Russia impacted the last election.
So it's pretty understandable that Russia could influence the midterms.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Good point, but, of course, it leaves the program in another aspect.
We continue to cover it every day.
One of the thing that I want to bring up is the number of personal stories.
It was striking to me.
There were so many, maybe half-a-dozen or more, instances of these heart-wrenching accounts
of what people have lived through.
Here is one where the president introduces a young police officer from Albuquerque, New
Mexico.
DONALD TRUMP: Ryan was on duty when he saw a pregnant, homeless woman preparing to inject
heroin.
When Ryan told her she was going to harm her unborn child, she began to weep.
She told him she didn't know where to turn, but badly wanted a safe home for her baby.
In that moment, Ryan said he felt God speak to him.
Then, he went home to tell his wife, Rebecca.
In an instant, she agreed to adopt.
The Holets named their new daughter Hope.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Karen, a very emotional moment last night.
What does the president accomplish, what does he do by things like this, stories like this?
KAREN TUMULTY: Well, to me, one of the most striking contrasts of this speech from just
about everything else we have ever heard from this president -- and I'm not going to call
it a pivot, because we have so often see the president go in one direction and change directions
immediately.
But he was -- he kept telling these stories of average Americans.
Generally, when Donald Trump speaks, it is very self-referential.
He points to himself.
As he said at the convention, "I alone can fix it."
In this speech, he actually said it is the people who make this country great.
And I think that that in many ways is what a lot of Republicans would hope would be the
kind of message that he might take forward on the campaign going forward.
This president, as we know, can change course very quickly, and he may be back on the old
Twitter pretty quickly and attacking people and being thin-skinned about attacks on him.
But that was, I think, a good message for Republicans that he was delivering last night.
JUDY WOODRUFF: And as Karen points out, Yamiche, it is as we launch a midterm election year,
which everybody is -- the White House and everybody who was sitting there in the House
chamber is very mindful of.
YAMICHE ALCINDOR: Yes.
And the opioid crisis is also something that Republicans and Democrats seem to think that
they can work together on, that it's much like infrastructure.
People understand that there is a problem there, that they want to come up with some
sort of solution.
The important thing, though, is that while they were talking about baby Hope, the mother
of Hope, at least according to reporting, is that she is still struggling with addiction.
And today the Democrats, led by Elizabeth Warren and Patty Murray, they actually filed
paperwork to have an investigation into whether or not Donald Trump is handling the opioid
crisis effectively.
He said that there was going to be this public health crisis, that he was declaring it a
public health crisis in October.
But since then, we haven't really heard a lot from the White House about what they are
actually doing and what resources they are devoting to that.
So Democrats are already using that today to throw back at the president and say, well,
what are you actually going to do about it?
JUDY WOODRUFF: And it is an issue he raised, and so we're going to see how it plays out
in that way.
Yamiche Alcindor, Karen Tumulty, thank you both.
KAREN TUMULTY: Thank you.

Missinglettr Review and Demo - Or How to Get People to Read Your Blog if You're a Lazy Marketer - Duration: 28:12.hi there let's talk about your blog how do you get people to read your blog so
today I'm going to show you my favorite way to promote my blog posts using a
very specific tool I will show you inside my dashboard so you can see
exactly how it works so if you have a blog and you're wondering how to get
more people to read your blog then stick around because I'm gonna show you one
very exciting way to do it I'm Lexi Rodrigo in case it's your first time
here I am a digital content manager and blog editor at Mirasee and I'm also a
freelance copywriter and content marketing consultant so moving on if you
have a blog by now you must have realized that writing is not your the
entire job of a blogger in fact after you write your blog post and publish it
then that is only the beginning because a big part of your job as a blogger is
to promote your blog posts now the most simple and you know logical way to
promote your blog is with social media hi I have a scent and you know because
it's easy it's free so why not do it right and even if you don't have a huge
social media following it still makes sense for you to promote your blog posts
in social media because some of these social media updates appear in Google
search results for example I've noticed that Pinterest posts appear on the first
page of Google a lot and I've also seen some of my old Google+ posts appearing
and Google search results so even if you're not active on Google+ at the very
least you should be promoting your blog posts there
okay so but here's the thing also with promoting your posts in social media
it's not enough to publish one update about your post because even if you have
thousands of followers for example the last I checked I have 4,000 plus
followers on Twitter but it doesn't mean that every time I send a tweet that all
4,000 plus of them see my tweet of course people are you know they're
jumping in and out of their social media accounts and then there's the time zone
differences to account for as well so whenever you promote your blog post you
want to be constantly publishing links to your post now here's the challenging
part those updates of yours have to be unique for example Twitter will not let
you publish the identical and identical tweet twice it's going to actually a
warning is going to pop up and say that oh you've tweeted that before so that
means that every time you send a link out to your blog post you have to change
two things up a bit now as a writer I find that challenging even though I am a
writer by profession because sometimes you're just so tired you don't have time
or your your brain is running dry right your creativity is running dry so what
excuse my voice by the way what it really helps is this tool that I found
and it's called missing letter missing letter works it
has two parts okay the first part is that it will actually scan your blog
post and create these updates for you and each one is unique so it has its own
text its own image and you're gonna see later how it happens
so missing letter does this for you so that's the first part
and then the second part is that missing letter will post these updates in your
connected social media accounts and drip them out over the next 12 months okay
and of course before these posts get published you you have the ability and
in fact you have to log into your missing letter dashboard review the
updates and you can edit them if you want to and you have to approve them
before they get sent out so do you wanna see how it works
have you heard of missing letter or first of all aside from my emails to you
about it
so let me show you my missing letter dashboard okay I'm just having a little
bit of a hard time seeing stuff here alright so this is the dashboard okay
Connie Reagan Green has heard of missing letter and is anxious to get started
with it well Connie I hope that after you see my dashboard you'll be convinced
to to get missing letter for yourself so this is my dashboard and so as you can
see here saying it has detected 23 blog posts so what you do when you're setting
up your missing letter is you set up an account sort of exactly an account for
each of your blog's okay you set it up here and you add the RSS feed for your
blog so then every time you publish in your post missing letter just will
automatically know about it because of your RSS feed and that's why it says it
detected 23 blog posts from these three websites that I have added into my
account so it's saying here I have one campaign to review I have 13 campaigns
running and there's one day until my next
it also tells me the number of total clicks that I've gotten from missing
letter exciting thing here is okay one of the things that missing letter does
is when it is that I actually forgot to mention this earlier is it grabs quotes
from your blog post and it puts them into these quote images that you see
here and this is actually a new feature that I didn't hadn't known about
previously is that you can now change up the what these cult images look like and
last night I went ahead and and looked through the templates and changed them
up so that they're reflecting the colors of my blog so you have some consistency
there but you can also change for example the name of the person as well
as the URL that appears here so in case that your if your blog has different
authors that's when this becomes helpful useful so there are there are different
kinds quote images that you can choose from and then you can change things up
there and this is actually really important because I have noticed that
more and more people are using missing letter so before I knew about this
feature I was just using the default image and I noticed that my tweets or
posts we're looking like other missing letter users social media posts but now
that doesn't have to be the case because you can change things up okay now when
missing letter creates the updates you have a choice of which URL shortener to
use there's like eight or so choices which I didn't even bother with but you
can use bitly for example I'm not sure why why this is important but I guess
maybe like if you have your own bitly account
maybe that's why you would want to use bitly and not this and here's a summary
of my survey as well okay now over here this is again
something new is the calibration so missing letter just wants to be able to
accurately grab the content on your blog post and this is a really useful tool
I'm not sure exactly how it works but for example in the past missing letter
might grab something from my sidebar and use that as a quote so that's not good
because then I have to go in there and edit it but with this calibration that
doesn't happen anymore because you're going to tell missing letter exactly
which part of your page of your webpage is the actual blog so it's not going to
grab things from your sidebar or footer anymore and then here it's just telling
me which social profiles I have linked into this particular blog in missing
letter and I believe you can add up to 12
social media profiles and I should add my Google+ profile here I just haven't
done that so here it's giving you like your your limits as to your plan camp
how many campaigns you can have how many sites you can link team members etc okay
so I told you earlier that missing letter can detect when you have a new
blog post through your RSS feed but you can also manually add a blog post for
example if you have a guest post on somebody else's blog so you don't want
missing letter to be constantly monitoring that particular blog McCue
have a one-off guest post then you can manually add that here simply by
entering the URL of your guest post or if you have an old blog post that you
would want to create a campaign for because it was published before you
opened your missing letter account now there's lots of exciting things that you
can look at here you can look at your calendar and my my internet
connection is a little slow because I am streaming live so at a glance you can
see your previous posts and what's coming up now if you notice here like
these updates are coming out the same time and that's because previously you
could only set one scheduled one publishing schedule for all your social
media accounts but now you're able to
make a schedule for each account and I again I only just discovered this
because I hadn't been keeping up with the updates of the software so now I'm
going to have a different publishing schedule for Twitter for Facebook for
LinkedIn and you can do that for each social media account that you have
linked to to missing letter now this is the most exciting part is the campaign
so I'm going to show you one campaign that's waiting for me in my missing
letter account so as you see here what you can do is you can reject it you can
regenerate which means that missing letter will just come up with a whole
new set of updates or you can review your campaign so let's review campaign
now the first step is for you to choose your hashtag and missing letter will
give you suggestions but not just that it's also going to let you know how
popular those hashtags are so let me just get rid of some of these and like
the hashtag Facebook live not that so the more red stars there are the more
popular that hashtag is know what is my what is this blog post about I forgot
but that's and you can also add your own hashtag let's say content marketing and
again missing letter will tell you how popular that is so I like that they both
have five stars so let's click on okay let's review content all right so
they're just telling you like what they have made for you okay so they have a
campaign that's going to be drip fed for 12 months they have 23 text suggestions
0 images extracted from my post 9 posts so they created 9 posts for this
campaign now okay extracted 0 images from your post I'm worried about that
because why did I not use okay Facebook blah blah blah okay that's just
some of Facebook's requirements it just means I need to click some extra buttons
for Facebook now okay
assigned contents and platforms why does that keep appearing Oh
cuz I thought I had to go to the another page but actually the campaign is right
underneath here let me just move this out of the way okay okay so you see here
this is the text update that they're referring to and the this is the code
the code image that I was telling you about
so let's see if I can change this
I created these templates earlier so I can switch from one to the other so
let's say I want to go with the orange now here's the other cool thing that
previously you couldn't do is now you can edit what appears in the quote box
so but if you're clear on what your video blah blah now let's say I don't
like that I can choose a different quote as well just then up three four five
okay so let's say I want to go who hit the
title okay I don't know what I did with this blog post why some there's
something about the way that I created that page because I use a page builder
for my post that's somehow missing a letter I think missed some of my my
stuff like my images so anyway so here we can change the post content as well
and let's say I like this but I don't like that it starts with a but okay so I
click on edit content and I say even if you didn't have these fancy apps you can
still brand your videos so I like that that's saying like that I click on save
and this is where the Facebook thing comes in click to edit content for this
profile what happened one suggested content whoops
why do I have to do this oh I have to so Facebook this and like I think you know
has problems with third-party published content so I just copy that here whoo so
I didn't know I had to do that now for Facebook and this one changed as well
it became very big oh because of the size of the Facebook image is different
so I don't know if I can just leave that anyways so assuming I'm happy with it I
just say okay and move on to the next one I wonder if I can just not do it for
Facebook so anyways and yeah so I think this is
one of those things that I need to tell missing letter to regenerate my campaign
because I think when they grab this they hadn't done the calibration that we saw
earlier so assuming that I like everything then you would just go to the
end and click on finished final step okay so that's pretty much how missing a
letter works do you guys have any questions any questions about missing
letter or what do you think do you like it if you like it now here's the thing
missing letter normally you would have to pay a subscription meaning that
there's a monthly payment for you to use it now I think that even with this
regular price it is well worth the price because of the amount of time that it
saves me and I have fun actually going through those campaigns and reviewing
them and approving them okay hang on let me oh I see that
I have a bunch of okay let's see we just show how to add our posts to Facebook
people tell me it takes extra effort yes it does and
that's because of Facebook's I don't know thing with third party platforms
and okay yeah so as you saw Connie yes I did have to copy and paste them from
missing letter and that's the thing is you know Facebook is changing all the
time I remember that prior to today when I
had to review a campaign I didn't have to do that all that copying and pasting
to Facebook okay now what else okay Raymond Mitchell what page builder do
you use if it doesn't pick up featured images that might be an issue Raymond I
use and I love thrive themes so I used their thrive architect to build my blog
posts and this is actually normally missing letter picks up my images and my
featured images so I don't think this is an issue and if it is I will definitely
reach out to missing letter because as you can see from I don't know if you
will look at my Twitter for example you can see a bunch of my previous updates
that were published by missing letter and you can see that my featured images
are there and images from my blog posts are there no problem so I think the
issue also might be that I hadn't done the calibration when I before they
created this campaign for that particular blog post okay now there's
another really good question here Connie is asking do they have customer service
to help with the the Facebook posts so what I forgot to mention is that missing
letters customer service is actually excellent they are very responsive and
in fact I was just emailing yester and this morning with the owner and the
creator of missing letter Benjamin but was about something else but when I have
had problems I reached out to them and they were always very timely with
responding and I'm and helping out now I don't know what kind of help you would
want if you want somebody from their customer support to do the copying and
pasting I am Not sure if they would be able to do that so one thing like a
workaround that I'm thinking of is because you can add team members to your
account is to have your VA go in there after you've reviewed everything else
your VA can go in there and do the extra steps for Facebook yeah
does that answer your question Connie any other questions guys so if you want
to get it now okay Connie said okay help with getting the campaign's approved
with the Facebook posts yeah so I'm thinking have your VA go in there and do
it for you if that's too much now also you know give feedback to missing letter
because they're very responsive and they're always a great they're
continuously trying to improve the product like you know I haven't looked
around my dashboard in months I just been going in there reviewing my
campaigns and approving them which is why I didn't notice all these new cool
features but they're always improving Oh in fact one thing that I forgot to
mention is now you can also republish your blog posts to medium if you have a
medium account you can set it up so that your blog posts are automatically
republished to medium so as I was saying normally you would have to be a
subscription for missing letter but right now AB simul is running a promo
for missing letter so you can get it for a one-time fee so you pay only once and
you get a lifetime account and it's some kind of a it's a different account than
when I saw previously it's like an agency account meaning that you can if
you provide social media services to clients you can add them to your account
but so that they can only see their particular campaigns so if you want to
get missing letter for this one-time fee then go to Alexis Rodrigo comm forward
slash missing tsumo that is my partner link I am an affiliate for missing
letter and appSumo so what that means is that I do promote
missing letter even when there is no promo for it because I love it so much
even at full price I think it is worthwhile but why pay full price I I
always got your backs why pay full price why pay a monthly fee
when you can get it right now for just one payment and you can use it lifetime
so Raymond I have been using missing letter for almost a year now so I
believe they had it was also an optimal promo that I discovered missing letter
and I believe that was around April of last year but yes since the beginning
and at that time it was in beta it wasn't this robust that time it was you
you couldn't link you couldn't publish the Facebook at all at that time but
even then I thought it was worth it and you know why because I think Facebook
also I heard pen eliza's you for publishing from third party platform
so you know at that time I didn't mind that it didn't publish to Facebook and I
just preferred to publish natively on Facebook which I do most of the time so
I think I'm just the link Facebook from my missing letter
account we'll see how it goes how lazy I am so yeah I've been using it for almost
a year and I'm really happy with all the new features that it has
and I just can't wait for what else these guys are gonna come up with any
other questions guys if not we're running to almost half an hour I'm gonna
let you guys go and enjoy the rest of your day
well I nurse this cold so again guys if you want to get it it's Alexis Rodrigo
calm for it slash missing sumo that's my affiliate link if you buy it
through that link I will get a commission not much but it helps every
little bit helps I hope you like this demo and if you have any other questions
feel free to post them in the comments or if you're one of my subscribers reply
to my email and let me know your question I will respond if you post them
here I will go back later on and to the recording of the video and respond to
your questions thank you very much for joining me in this demo if you want more

Jets GM's make-or-break decision hinges on Cousins doubts - Duration: 6:41.Jets GM's make-or-break decision hinges on Cousins doubts
— Any concerns about Kirk Cousins' decision-making were eased on Wednesday afternoon when he walked past many of the other options in the Mall of America food court to stand on line at Shake Shack.
In about six weeks, Cousins will face a much tougher decision.
The quarterback is going to be the top free agent on the market after the Redskins made it clear they are not bringing him back by agreeing to a trade with the Chiefs to acquire Alex Smith.
The Jets must decide between now and then if they are going to be one of the teams wooing him with bundles of cash and promises of playoff runs.
For general manager Mike Maccagnan, make-or-break time has arrived, and the 2018 quarterback decision, which Cousins now moves to front and center in, could decide his fate with the organization.
Maccagnan and coach Todd Bowles are entering their fourth season with the team. The honeymoon ended long ago. Maccagnan has not solved the franchise's decades-long quarterback problem yet. He has drafted two quarterbacks that both look like they are not the answer.
Christian Hackenberg, his second-round pick in 2016, has not taken a snap in his two seasons. Maccagnan has used veteran Band-Aids at the position with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh McCown.
But it's time to rip off the Band-Aid and find a long-term answer under center. That is what Maccagnan must figure out. Cousins is a human Rorschach test — everyone sees something different.
Some see a franchise quarterback who has played well on a bad team in Washington. Others see a solid quarterback who can win games with a good supporting cast around him, but one who will never be elite.
Whatever the opinion is on Cousins, the price tag is going to be exorbitant. Cousins is expected to get the richest contract in NFL history. His contract could be five years, $150 million with around $90 million guaranteed.
Matthew Stafford set the market for quarterbacks in August when the Lions signed him to a five-year, $135 million extension with $87 million in the first three years.
Surely, Cousins' agent is going to point to that and the fact that Cousins and Stafford have nearly identical stats over the past three years.
Stafford is 25-23 with one playoff appearance over that time; Cousins is 24-23-1 and also went to the playoffs once. Stafford had 13,035 passing yards and 85 touchdowns; Cousins threw for 13,176 yards and 81 touchdowns.
Interceptions? Stafford threw 33 and Cousins tossed 36. Both players turn 30 this offseason. The Jets will have the salary-cap space.
Once they make some expected cuts like Muhammad Wilkerson and Matt Forte, they will have more than $80 million in cap space and that could get close to $100 million depending on the new cap.
More than cap space, the question will be: Are Woody and Christopher Johnson willing to dole out that big of a check for a player who might be a franchise quarterback but might not be?.
If they are willing to cut the check, Maccagnan must then figure out whether bringing in a 30-year-old makes more sense than drafting a quarterback with the No.
If he does hand out the big contract, it will be out of character for a GM who has emphasized building through the draft.
It also may indicate he and Bowles realize that they need to win in 2018 and a rookie likely won't do that.
The move could also tell you what the Jets think about the college quarterbacks in this class and/or their chances of landing one.
Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield all look like first-round picks right now, but the Jets may believe only one of them is the real deal. Can they land that guy or is it safer to sign Cousins?.
If the Jets think Cousins is more likely to sign with the Broncos or Browns, two quarterback-needy teams drafting ahead of them, that could also factor into the decision.
If he signs with one of those teams, theoretically that cuts down the number of quarterbacks drafted before them at No. This is rare chance for Maccagnan. Good quarterbacks do not hit free agency very often.
Peyton Manning in 2012 and Drew Brees in 2006 are the only recent examples, and both were coming off serious injuries. The fact the Redskins are allowing Cousins to walk also should give Maccagnan pause.
Teams don't let good players, especially quarterbacks, become free agents. Maccagnan can't afford to whiff here.
If he does not believe Cousins is the answer, then he can re-sign Josh McCown for 2018 and draft a quarterback to develop. If he does believe in Cousins, roll out the red carpet … and the Shake Shack burgers.

SIGMUND FREUD/ What TOPOGRAPHICAL, DYNAMIC OR ECONOMIC MODEL are...? - Duration: 4:16.Hey guys, It`s Nikki *and i`m wondering do you know what topographical, dynamic or economic
model are.
You don`t or you`re just not quite sure* then stay to find out.
In the previous video we made a quick overview of Sigmund Freud`s theories *but before getting
into more details it`s important to explain some of the ways he describes the psyches'
life.* The first way he does that* is through places
or that`s the topographical model:*you can imagine it like a fun- fair * you have a main
road where all the attractions which you can see at the moment are* your eyes are overwhelmed
by all the colors: *that`s your consciousness.
*In other words, that`s all the available information at the moment:*much like is for
you now this video, and my voice.* All that is on the main road*and what is right in front
of your eyes.
The second type of places is all the places you went and know about *but can`t see at
the moment *that`s the subconsciousness- *that`s all the information accumulated in your head,*
which you don`t use at the moment* but you could use if you wanted to.
The third type of places is all the restricted areas you are prohibited from going in to.*
You are unaware of most of them, you just don`t know what`s inside* but those places
make possible the existence of the fun- fair by making the rules and controlling the crowd.
*The people working inside those places tell you where you can eat, where you can`t take
pictures, on which attraction you are allowed and on which one you aren`t.
*So even though you might be unaware of the location or even the existence of those places*
they have enormous influence over your behavior- *that`s bacically what the unconsciousness
is.
The second way Freud describes psyches' life is through dynamics of instincts or the
dynamic model.
*According to him* the symptoms are the only way through which fights of mental energies
manifest themselves.* It`s like seeing a football players after the game, you can see all the
damages all over their bodies: *Fractured Ribs, bruises and blood.* All these are results
of their team trying to score against the other team.*With the mental energies is the
same but even messier because it`s like playing against five or six teams at once , with every
team having their own vendetta in one game.* Yeah, it`s one hell of a game, no wonder most
people have issues.
* The third way of description is the economic
model, *this one is probably the easiest one.
*Basically when we have impulses for something like:*
''I want to be very good at playing piano'', for example, *we invest our energy: buying
a piano, going on lessons and so on.
*Investing energy is also what it means for Freud to work on your dreams and some other
stuff that we`ll discuss later.* That will be all for now.
In my next video i`ll talk about the structural model of describing the psyche`s life so if
you`re interested click on to the nerdy bird to subscribe and if you liked this video thumbs
