BRAIN U - Q&A (Ep.1): O processo de Coaching e a prática do Ho'oponopono - podem mesmo me ajudar? - Duration: 3:28.

Hey guys! How are you all doing? We are here launching our 8-part-video

series Brain U - Q&A, and I want to know what is your question for me?

Please share with us (info in the comments section to make sure your question will reach me)

and I will do my best to answer them all in this first semester of 2018 (during this 8-part-video-series). It

will be my pleasure to address here with you the answers to your questions.

I have a new client (Coachee)

who begun his Coaching process with me a few weeks ago, and he

approached me initially questioning me: " Fernanda - Do you think that

the Coaching process is ideal for my situation? I have

accumulated years and years in this Firm

and I fell a bit stuck now,

it seems like I got used to being in my comfort spot,

and I feel like it is time for me to shake things up.

And my answer is: Yes,

Coaching can be very useful for you and I can be

your guidance in this process, bringing along with the coaching methodology, some

important support coaching tools to help you achieve your goals.

So, If you are watching this video,

and you feel like some kind of fear is striking you,

you perhaps feel stuck right now, we must

look into your limiting beliefs. What is that you truly

believe in, and that perhaps is limiting you as a professional and as a human being?

Do you think that - at the same time - you have some empowering beliefs that help you move forward

and that you may not be paying attention to them? During a Coaching process

we ponder on those issues, we work on our self-discovery, on our self-knowledge,

focusing on developing crucial skills so to attain our goals faster.

We look into: Who am I? And then we look around us...

Imagine: Where do you want to go? & How are you going to move in that direction?

And also: Why you want to do that? Know your Why!

We must be engaged and aligned with our purpose and thus make our coaching process a dedication day by day

fun work around us.

Alongside, I bring innovative and powerful coaching tools to support our work.

On that, we must reflect and engage with our reality:

What needs to be adjusted so to achieve all that I want, all that I dream of?

I use the practice of Ho'oponopono as one of the coaching tools to support my clients in this journey.

Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian millenarian method of repetition to clean

stagnant memories in our minds, making

use of forgiveness and gratitude practices. It is a powerful

tool in a Coaching process to deal with limiting beliefs and get rid of thoughts that block our progress,

allowing us to move forward to the next level.

It is a practice that I share with my Coachee's especially when we encounter

in the beginning of the coaching

process some limiting beliefs.

Now, it is important for you (who are watching this video) to look into your

own reality and make this connection. What do you think

you could an should adjust in your life-career, so to move forward?

What might be blocking your progress? Look inside, make adjustments in your life...

which might be your limiting beliefs?

To where do you really want to go?

What comes to your mind when I tell you lets work together on yourself/career?

What could we do together to improve

in your journey so that you become better that you were yesterday, or even today?

It does not matter your current situation...

it may be that

you are into a career transition, or maybe into

a growing business path inside of your organization, please remember:

your professional success is directly linked to

keeping a good balance among all the other areas of your life (the so called

work-life adjustment/balance).

And to sum up this 1st video, my reply to my current client was: Are you fully engaged into making it all work?

So - join me into this dynamic process,

with a start, middle and end project,

with the support of an array of coaching tools,

so to achieve steady growth in your life.

Be sure to remember that each one of us has our uniqueness in journey,

timing, and we must respect

the evolutionary moment of each one of us.

And yet - yes - the coaching process is designed to help you move forward

taking you out of your comfort zone and into the growth mindset for the achievement of our goals, being

the best version of yourself. And I send your way a big Kiss, reminding yourself

to send your questions in

so that we may answer them in this

Program Brain U - Q&A (more info in the comments section below). Big kiss!

Time Demonstration - Plan for and do the essentials - Duration: 3:03.

- Hey, it's Dainon Haggard here with Hunters and Closers.

Just wanted to take a brief moment with you

to really teach a truth,

something that I learned in my youth.

I've shared it with many of you.

I haven't shared it with all of you,

but it's something that we really need

to be cognizant of in our lives.

This jar here on the right full of rice

represents things that we can do

on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis

that eat up our time,

those things that are non-essential.

On the left here, is an open vase,

and this represents the time we've been allotted.

We all have 24 hours in a day,

seven days a week, 365 days a year.

And often times it gets filled

with those things that really we shouldn't be focusing on.

So, as I take this jar,

and I fill it up then with this rice,

You'll see that we can fill up our lives

with things that are not really important,

and most necessary in our lives.

So, what happens then,

when we need to do some preparation for our sales,

or we need to do some prospecting,

or some account development?

What if we need to follow up,

write a proposal, close some deals?

How about sharpening our skills?

I'm really running out of room here.

Physical exercise.

You can see that it's overflowing.

We've got too much.

Vacation.

So we're not able to do all of it.

And unfortunately, those things that are most important

are pushed out, and we don't get to do them.

So, as we look then

at really planning our days,

and doing those things that are most important,

if we do them first.

So if we do our preparation,

and our prospecting,

our account development,

if we follow up with all of our efforts.

We write our proposals,

close deals, make some money.

Our physical exercise, stay healthy.

Sharpening our skills.

And we take that time to vacation,

and just really, wind down.

And then our life is still able

to do those things that are not necessarily essential,

but are still important?

Always reminding ourselves

to put those things that are best, first.

So, live your life mindfully.

Plan, prepare, do those things that are most necessary,

and you'll see that your goals,

your aspirations will all be accomplished

if you so work towards.

Make it an awesome day.

What do you enjoy about author events? - Duration: 5:01.

Hi everyone. I'm rincey and i am one of the contributing editors over at book riot.

So this past weekend I got the chance to see Thi Bui speak. She wrote

the best we could do which is a graphic memoir that has been getting so much

praise and buzz from like every corner of my life. So she came to Chicago

recently for the Chicago Humanities Festival. If you live in Chicago and you

don't know about the Chicago humanities festival you definitely should. I will

link it down in the description. So yes, I got to see her this weekend. I picked up

a copy of her book with my ticket. And seeing her speak was so great because

she is just very smart and funny and insightful and just had really great

things to say. She also did a really great readings slash presentation. She had

like a visual presentation as well because again this is a graphic memoir.

So she did a reading from the book itself. And so the way that she did it is

she had like there was a projector screen behind her and she had like that

panels show up on the screen. But she did just the narration voice and then she

asked for like two volunteers in the audience to do the female and male

characters from the selection that she was reading. And like she had it so that

way sometimes you would like see the squares lined up but you wouldn't see

completely what was going on. You might see parts of the screen and then as she

went along she would click through the PowerPoint presentation or whatever it

was and it would like fill in the gaps. And people would like read you know what

was on the screen, things like that. And it was really well done. There's also a

part where the except that she pulled from included her researching or

watching this like news clip or something along those lines. And so she

had the actual audio from the news clip playing to go along with the panels that

she was showing. It was so smart and such a great presentation in that way. And I

think this is the first time I've seen a graphic novelist do a presentation live

like that before. I've seen people on panels and I've seen like John Lewis

speak when he was doing stuff for the March graphic novel. But that doesn't

really count. So it was just like a really interesting experience seeing the

way that she presented her book, the way that she was able to do a reading and

engage the audience in this visual medium as well.

And then afterwards there was a moderated discussion with someone who

lives here in Chicago and then they had like a quick Q&A afterwards. And then she

did a signing and it was so much fun. So going to that event this weekend just

had me thinking a lot about just author events in general. I was thinking about

what I liked about author events and why I attend them. I don't go to a bunch of

them because like time and things like that. But I do enjoy going to some of

them. And the ones that I usually end up going to are usually authors that I

really, really enjoy or I think have like really interesting things to say or have

like a really interesting book. Most of the time I try to read the book before

hand but with Thi Bui I haven't read the book at all. But I just knew that it

was going to be a good presentation or I had the hopes that it was gonna be a

good presentation just based on what everyone else said about the book. I also

do enjoy when there are Q&A sessions but I do recognize the fact

that Q&A sessions can also go terribly wrong

depending on the event and who's asking the questions. But I feel like, at least

for the past couple of years maybe it's just the events that I've specifically

been choosing to go to, but I feel like the Q&A sections are always more

interesting just because the questions are slightly less rehearsed and take

things in slightly related but slightly like tangential directions that

wouldn't have happened otherwise. So yeah, I don't always ask questions at Q&A

sessions but I do enjoy that in general and sometimes they do come with a

question. And then the other thing I realized is that I do enjoy getting my

book signed but I don't necessarily feel the need to stand in the signing line.

Like with Thi Bui I haven't read her book yet so I felt like I didn't have

anything meaningful to say to her. So while he did stand in line to get my

book signed, I felt slightly awkward just going up to

her because I didn't have anything to say. I mean, I basically just said thank

you for coming and things like that but it just felt like I should have had

something more meaningful to say to the author. I don't know if anyone else feels

that pressure but I always feel like this weird pressure about what I'm gonna

say to the person when I get to the front of the line. I also just feel that

way about conversation is in general so that's just might be a me thing.

So yeah that's just what's

been on my mind recently. Let me know down in the comments below, do you attend

author events or have you attended author or bookish events in the past and if

so what do you like about them? And if you don't attend them let me know why

down below. I know there are a bunch of people who like don't enjoy attending

author events because to them the author isn't quite as important as the book

itself unless the book had like a really meaningful impact on them or something

along those lines. Most of the time people want to keep like the author

separated from the book. Like the book gets its own entity and they don't have

a desire to meet the person behind the book. So yeah, let me know in the comments

below if you fall into that camp or if you just have your own reasons for not

really attending author events. So yeah that's all I have for now and thanks for watching.

Do You Have Pre Diabetes? PreDiabetes Symptoms - Reversing PreDiabetes Prediabetes Diet - Duration: 8:12.

Hi everyone. Dr. Urban here. Let's talk about a subject that covers a lot of

people. We're going to be talking about prediabetes with the question, Do you

have prediabetes or looking at another way, Does

pre-diabetes have symptoms?

What about insulin resistance diet or a prediabetes diet? We're going to try

to cover that in this video. First of all, are you someone who, when their eyes are

open, in other words when they're awake, your mouth is open? You're eating

constantly. Maybe that's just you but that is just you and that's a

problem, because let's look at what happens when you eat. I have this

handy visual aid and I want to say that this is a 12 hour period along the

bottom of the hanger, this line, and when you eat food you start over. Here the

body goes through a series of hormonal adjustments and then after about four

hours, The body has processed that load using insulin

even if insulin resistance is present.

Next, what typically happens, but not in the

pre-diabetic usually what happens next when the body needs energy, it goes to

the glycogen stores and it uses those glycogen stores which can last maybe 12

hours. There's some variability in all this depending on the individual. Along

the way your body may elect to use a little bit of protein turning the

protein into sugar. So as you get out here you're at 12

hours, but at 12 hours now you see the blue, where you are

starting to mobilize ketones. So what happens when you after four hours

snack? You don't continue. You go back here and start over, When you

snack, you go like this and you it's very hard to get into ketones.

You start putting the excess to insulin resistance and fat stores you put the

excess into your fat and you become, along with insulin resistance, you become

overweight. The fat may be deposited in your

belly or it may be deposited universally throughout your body. You

get the picture. so if you're trying to intervene in this

process you need to consider if you want to get the ketones, you need to

get out here about 12 hours. So let's talk about the ketogenic or keto diet.

How do we start? First of all, this

isn't the all in at first. This is how to kind of segue into a keto diet

for prediabetes. First of all I should mention that

prediabetes can be objectively measured by blood tests. There's the five and five,

100 - 125 dl is diagnostic for prediabetes and there are similar for

the hemoglobin A1C five point seven to six point four but those are objective

numbers. We haven't

looked at prediabetes really with the critical eye, but there are symptoms of prediabetes

and they are things like lethargy, irritation, light headedness,

fatigue, anger, but the big one is at for hours remember what we did here. At

about four hours you have food cravings. If you're sitting with

frequent food cravings and snacking and browsing and grazing,

as my eyes are open plus I'm generally your mouth is open

this suggests that it's highly likely you're pre-diabetic. Now you can say well

I can get that tested. Yes you can, but you can see you don't need to spend

bucks on this right now to know that you're at risk or that

you're continuing at risk. I would advise getting a test whenever

you have blood work make sure your hemoglobin A1C and your fasting blood

sugar are tested. But I'm telling you that if you're just standing there and

telling me that you have food cravings about four hours after a meal and that

you snack before going to bed and

that sort of thing, This keeps going and you're browsing and

grazing over food all day long, then I think these symptoms of pre-diabetes relate to you and you have

an issue now. We know that people with pre-diabetes have a ten year 50%

percent chance of becoming diabetic. I think that's a heavy heavy stroke.

I don;t know what happens after ten years. That means you have a 50% chance so

it's worthwhile looking into this to see if you have prediabetes and do

something about it.So what do you do? I recommend the keto diet which you can

jump into or you can segue into it. I think a lot of people

would like to segue. I jumped into it and did fine, but there is such a thing as

the keto flu as you go all in so hard so fast that you have symptoms really of

with low blood sugar and insulin resistance which I just

mentioned. The one that are suggestive during the day

and bother you.

What do we do? Well several things you can do to get you started. #1 You

need to get your food intake out to 12 hours. Eat whenever you eat then you go 12

hours. Before that, consider drinking water in the morning. Let's say 16 to 32

ounces of water. Why, because you're dehydrated. During the night, either from

urination and/or respiration where you put out a liquid in your respirations. So

drink water 16 to 32 ounces. Then you notice if you're hungry in the morning. Then you

try to spread that out because you may find out that you don't have a craving

right away and you start spreading that time period out aiming for 12 hours and

when you hit 12 hours, between meals then you try to ratchet it up. That should

get you started. You should well avoid the keto flu and it may segue into

a solution along with the keto diet which is where you're headed and there's

all kinds of directions for that once you fully into it, but let's get you

started.
