Intro to Probability by Ismael Contreras, Jesus Pastran, and Adrian Llauro
Yeah, aye, I work hard in algebra everyday-ay-ay-ay-ay, I work extra haaaard to try to get an A-A-A-A
yeaaah, yeah, but today's the day to get an A and no matter what it takes it's today
it's time to pay attention yeah
it's into to probability chances are real good that we learned how to find an event's likelihood
they say how you find probability cause I don't know I don't know it could be
expressed as a ratio let me show let me show it's the number of actual events
over possible events used to think it was just luck but it's more than just that
it could be impossible it could be certain it could be possible but not
certain at all like when you roll dice take a card out of a deck or flip a bottle on its top yeah.
The probability of an event to happen, plus the chance of it not oh yeah yeah it will always equal to one. This is how you find the complement
I work on this problem everyday ay-ay-ay yeah I hope that I could pull out a fa-ay-ay ce card
The chances are 12 over 52, you divide those numbers and multiply by 100 to get 23 percent yeah
All, I wanted to shoot some hoops with perfection my field goal percentage I shouldn't mention
Because my chances of making a shot are just point thirty-six of one, of one, of one
But today, we'll find probability of me missing a shot
So we gonna subtract point thirty-six from one, from one, my chance of missing this shot is point sixty-four yeah
Yeah, my chance of missing this shot is sixty-four percent, cause I still made that swish
Gonna pass right now, gonna pass right now with all that knowledge in the palm of my hand right now
Screw all the excuses, the stress, the haters, and the failures, Ima do it for myself right now
Ima do it for the 305 and greatest teacher of all time cause you know
I work hard in Algebra everyday-ay-ay-ay yeah, I work extra hard to try to get an A-A-A-Ay, yeah, yeah
But today is the day, to get an A, and no matter what it takes, it's today, it's time to pay attention yeah

NOLLYWOOD STARS WHO VENTURED INTO MUSIC - Duration: 3:46.
Our Nollywood stars, maybe living the life today, but it wasn't always rosy
A little over a decade ago,
the struggle was real
as most of them attempted to join the likes of the Dbanj and Tuface
in the Nigerian music industry
that was experiencing an unprecedented boom at the time. We may or may not have forgiven them for the torture
but how can we forget?
Here's a little Throwback to the time when some of your faves let their village people use them
Genevieve
this song had a strong message on domestic violence But its presentation was a torment to our senses.
No more tears left us with lots of Tears
We loved Genevieve but you should never sing again
Nkem Owoh
Chop Your Dollar was one of the most embarrassing songs anyone could've recorded.
Especially coming from an actor who was one of the top earners in Nollywood at the time
Though It gave us a good laugh, It was banned by the NBC who always seems a band songs long after our senses have digested them
Patience Ozokwor aka Mama G
Yes, our favorite Nollywood mother-in-law is definitely on the list
This might have been for comic relief
but we won't forget and we will definitely remind her whenever she considers going into politics
that we don't need people who would share the National moi moi and the divide national cake
Please do get your PVC
Omotola
Omotola's musical venture was proof that having an acceptable singing voice and curvaceous body
Doesn't necessarily mean you'd be a successful musician
However, she remain undaunted to have something to do with music and has backed her son in his own musical adventure
Some people are just better supporters
Tonto Dikeh
Kings Tonto, as she likes to call herself these days, didn't become came without an attempt to break into the music industry
Even though we can't call what she put out music, it went viral.
But it didn't last long as during one of her stage performances
she slipped and fell and her musical career followed suit
I guess some things are written in the stars.
Glad she realized quickly that singing and her alleged drug use weren't going to take her anywhere
Desmond Elliot
We'll address the song later.
But first let's talk about the lace outfit he wore in this video.
Even if I ever forget that Desmond Elliot attempted to break into the music industry,
I can't forget that outfit. I would sooner forget my middle name
It was a gospel rendition and NO, Nigerians didn't buy it.
Desmond recently moved on to Politics and our ears are eternally grateful
That our list guys.
We have online archives the thank for being able to unearth these cringe worthy songs and videos
as It's pretty safe to assume that the featured Nollywood stars
would have burnt every known trace of their doomed foray into music

Flat Broke & Breaking Into the Music Business Part Three - Duration: 7:44.
hey guys Trey Vittetoe here and welcome to part three in my series about being
broke and breaking into the music business so today I'm going to talk
about what kind of space you need to set up your studio and ultimately I want to
talk about how you can start getting your music out there and making money
for you and also if you're an artist how to start setting up a fan base for
yourself so stay with me and check it out
so today I'm going to start by talking about recording space where you need to
set up your small studio recently somebody asked me a question about how
they could afford to rent a space to set their studio up when they were already
just barely getting by I had to ask him why do you need to rent a space so when
I was first married I just set up my studio in a spare bedroom some of my
friends were setting their Studios up just in their living rooms I would run
cables into the bathroom where I could track vocals or mic up amplifiers was it
ideal no but it worked and I made a lot of Records there when we moved into a
house I took over half the garage I spent maybe two thousand dollars
building it out and buying some acoustic foam too dead into space and I'm still
using that same space today I had no idea what I was doing when I started
building out a studio on my garage I needed to build a wall in the middle so
I could have the other half of my garage for storage I didn't know how to build a
wall so I went online and searched how do you build a wall now my space isn't
big but people love coming here and writing and recording in this little
space is where I've had all of my real success it's true that if you're in an
apartment or a dorm you're probably going to need to do a lot of your work
on headphones you'll need to plan out time to record vocals and other
instruments but most of my time as a pop producer is done working on programming
scents and drums and mixing so a lot of that can be done on headphones anyway
using your living room or your bedroom for studio is completely doable just
remember if you're if your room is kind of noisy or echoing throw up some
blankets throw up some foam back in the day people would literally put egg
cartons on their walls it doesn't look very nice but it breaks up sound and it
gets rid of reflections don't feel like you're restricted from starting a music
career or setting up a studio if I've got is your bedroom or your apartment so
the last thing I want to talk about in this series is it how to get your music
out there once you've created it how to find opportunities to sell your music or
if you're an artist how to build a fan base some of these things I've addressed
in other videos so check them out on the screen somewhere here as well
so if you haven't already figured it out the music business is in chaos it has
been for almost 20 years in the early 2000s music piracy and a
flagging economy decimated the industry for that there was a lot of money
flowing in the music industry record labels were signing artists music sales
were great but during the.com days when music became compressible in formats
such as mp3s and downloadable from computers people just started grabbing
music for free online company sprang up the facilitated music piracy and music
sales hit the wall there was a huge debate about it in which people thought
that in taking music for free they were just skimming a small part off the top
of a huge economic pie and since everyone in the music industry was
raking in millions stealing a little music for personal use wasn't any big
deal it wasn't hurting anyone but that rationale along with an economy that
took a dive after 9/11 left the music industry in tatters I was a part of it I
saw it almost overnight companies went belly-up every few days you'd be sitting
in your office and someone would come in in tears and say they had just been let
go you would arrive at work in the morning to learn that an entire
department was dissolved sometimes whole offices were shut down Christmas was the
worst time that's when entire companies were closed it was dismal and it went on
for years really it's still going on but things have stabilized somewhat over the
years well what does all that have to do with you getting your music out there
and making money from it well as it turns out the same thing that pulled the
carpet out from under this bloated ego driven industry back then has today put
the business back into the hands of the music creators so while it's true that
the business was thriving back in 1997 if you were a songwriter or producer or
artist you had to tie yourself to a record label or to a music publisher to
get your career moving you would have been beholden to any number of music
business types and our people publishers managers attorneys anybody that could
help start your career and all of those are
still incredibly necessary but today is starting out you have many avenues to
build your own career by having direct access to those people who need music
fans advertisers TV and film supervisors through various online music services
you can submit your music directly to the opportunities in other videos I've
mentioned a few sites that I've used or my friends have used like music x-ray
song trader taxi these are sites that you can pitch your songs to for
licensing opportunities or for independent artists or to labels for
signed artists and what about if you're an artist is trying to build a fan base
you no longer need a record label to sign you to promote you to set up tours
media events twelve-year-old kids are building huge fan bases on sites like
Twitter Instagram YouTube to the point where they can start going out on tour
with companies like digi tour there are 15 year old independent artists that can
sell out 700 ceders anywhere in the world and bring home $20,000 worth of
merchandise not a dime of which goes to a record label they built it all
themselves and then when their careers reach a point where they can truly
benefit from a relationship with a record company or a music publisher the
business is coming to them when they sign their contracts it will be a
mutually advantageous arrangement one where they have the power to negotiate a
reasonably fair deal for themselves and why because they've eliminated risk for
the company that now just wants to partner with the artist and take them to
the next level and maybe that sounds a little oversimplified but truly that's
the current model and things can go essentially as I've described case in
point is an artist named Johnny Orlando check out his story and you'll get an
idea of how this thing can work in the new millennium alright so while we've
thrown in a few details that hopefully you can use to get started in the
business what I really hope you take from this is that it doesn't take a lot
of money and it doesn't take knowing all the right people to get started in the
music business what takes is what it should take talent
passion determination persistence you need to be able to collaborate with
others and create a product that resonates with an audience then you need
to get it out there keep pushing evolving never giving up amazingly it's
the same formula for success that it always has been and always will be
alright so you guys I hope you enjoyed this I
hope it answers some of the questions that I've been getting and if you did
like it please remember to like and subscribe comment below please check out
my other videos until next time

3rd Hamburg International Music Festival | Festival Recap - Duration: 2:06.
Hamburg's Music Festival has finally arrived at its destination.
It is actually taking place for the first time at the Elbphilharmonie.
This time it is a very suitable duo, namely the term »utopia«.
I think it's important to ask questions and to go to places that are still not defined.
This is utopia.
You could say that Stockhausen is the father of electronic music.
Even in today's contemporary electronic music, you can hear elements that he used in his
early electronic works in the 1950s and 60s in Cologne.
It's not unexpected that this artist, who executed radical ideas
regardless of interest – or lack thereof –, also serves as a role model
for anyone who explores the arts.

hey guys it's Coco and welcome back to my channel if you're new here then hello
it's lovely to have you here today's video as you can tell by the
title is a May favorites all about everything that I've loved in the month
of May
so as usual my first category is entertainment
I'll start off with my books that I've loved this month
well actually it's only one book this month because again I've had a slow one
because I've been revising a lot more now which is good but it means that I've
had less time to do things that I actually want to do but yeah this book
that I have here is called emergency contact by Mary HK Choi I mentioned this
in my book haul so yeah this book is about penny and Sam and they're both going
through a really tough time in their lives right now and they meet and
exchange numbers and become each other's emergency contact so they talk to each
other all the time I mean you can probably guess where it leads to such an
easy read that just made me continuously want to read more ther's a link in the
description if you want to go and check it out lastly an entertainment is
YouTube so anything that I've been loving on YouTube this month I've
actually discovered this new girl well I didn't discover her but I've just found
her video this is what I mean her name is Eve Cornwell me check yeah her
name's Eve Cornwell and she's a university student at Bristol University
in England she's hilarious so funny and I love her
style of videos I actually think she's quite similar to the type of videos that
I make which is probably why I like her because we got you know things in common
I've kind of been watched all of her videos Eve love her go check her out
again linked in the description next is all of the music that I have loved this month
and the first one is called afraid by Mimi
now Mimi's a youtuber that I've been watching for a really long time
well i say a really long time but really like a year and a half or something like
that two years I love her videos as well she's really cute I love her style
Mimi just came out with some new songs - two I believe... two
both of them I
absolutely adore but my favorite one is called afraid let me play you a little bit
okay yeah so as you can tell it's a really chilled out song I've been
listening to that song on repeat since it came out love Mimi
my next favorite song is called she changes the weather by Swim Deep this song
I have loved since like when I was in year 11 I first heard it when I was
going to the Reading Festival I was listening to all the artists that were
going to see if I like their music and I found this song and it is just insane
you'll get what I mean when you hear the song
again pretty chilled out but like in a really inspiring way I don't know and
then my last favorite song is by Haim which is a very well known band so yeah
the song that I'm talking about is falling I think this is one of their
most popular songs
okay I can't listen to the whole song otherwise this will be a very long video
oh my god love that song as you could tell I love to dance to it
not very well but I do dance to it especially in the car
it's actually quite embarrassing in the car because people just look at me and
stare and are like what the hell is she doing but I kind of don't care at the same time
fight me
next up is my food favorite
and i've only got one this month it's not even food it's a drink but yeah I've been
super super obsessed with iced coffees I've never even liked coffee before but
I just thought I'm gonna try it because I'm revising so much now so I need
caffeine because I'm not getting enough sleep for sure
so yeah I literally just grind some coffee in the Whizzer put it in the
little pumpy thing then I just add some ice some dairy free milk shove that in
give it a stir and you're ready to go super good coffee love it
my last category is fashion favorites this month
and i'm actually wearing my fashion favorite this time it is this cute little
pep, peplum? no off the shoulder top from Urban Outfitters I got this last year actually
but I'm definitely sure they'll have something like this Urban Outfitters
ASOS or Topsop it's just a really cute color and I think it kind of makes
me look a bit more tanned this kind of mustard yellow color which is perfect
because I'm just super super pale so my last favorite is actually my nail polish
color or colors basically they look like ice cream colors to me but all of the
colors together just look for a cute and I've had lots of compliments actually on
them a cafe that I work at a lot of the mums like oh I love your nails my
daughter would absolutely love them and stuff like that which is really sweet
and the nail polishes that I used were all Barry M apart from this Ciaté
pink one Barry M is just great and they always have some type of deal on but
that is my last favorite for the month and I hope you enjoyed this video maybe
found something that you want to try for the month of June
i can't believe we're in june
but anyway I hope you enjoyed this video and if you did please give a thumbs up and
subscribe down below I've left all the links to anything that I mentioned in
the description box so check out anything in there was there anything
else that I wanna say?
I don't think so I just hope you enjoyed
this and I'll see you next time bye

QUALITIES OVER TIME, THROUGH THE
ACCUMULATION OF GOOD CHOICES.
BECAUSE THE NATURAL DRIFT IS
TOWARD SELFISHNESS AND RUDENESS,
THEY ARE INTENTIONAL ABOUT
RESISTING THOSE INCLINATIONS
AND BECOMING A PERSON
OF GOODNESS AND CHARACTER.
THAT'S DEMANDING WORK!
IT'S MUCH EASIER TO GO WITH
THE FLOW, REACTING WITHOUT MUCH
THOUGHT TO WHATEVER COMES
OUR WAY, BUT THE FLOW USUALLY
DOESN'T LEAD WHERE
WE REALLY WANT TO GO.
A MIDDLE-AGED MAN, BUSY WITH
MANY THINGS TO DO, REALIZED
THAT HE WASN'T BECOMING
WHAT HE WANTED TO BE.
HE KNEW THAT WHAT REALLY
MATTERED IN HIS LIFE
WAS HIS FAITH, HIS FAMILY,
AND HIS RELATIONSHIPS.
BUT HAVING SPENT SO MUCH TIME
BUILDING A CAREER, HE HAD MISSED
MANY OF LIFE'S SWEETEST,
MOST MEANINGFUL MOMENTS.
SO WITH SINCERE DESIRES AND
DILIGENT EFFORTS, HE FOCUSED ON
BECOMINGA BETTER PERSON.
IT'S NOT THAT HE STOPPEDDOING;
IT'S JUST THAT HIS DOING NOW HAD
A PURPOSE: TO HELP HIM BECOME
MORE PATIENT, LOVING, AND
COMPASSIONATE--HISDOING
LED TOBECOMING.
AND THAT CHANGED HIS LIFE.
NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE MIGHT NEED
TO ACCOMPLISH, LIFE WAS NEVER
MEANT TO BE A LIST OF TASKS.
WE WERE CREATED TO BECOME
SOMETHING GREATER THAN
WHAT WE NOW ARE.
AND THE THINGS WE CHOOSE TO DO
CAN LIFT US TO THAT GOAL.
THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE
A HUMAN BEING.
A HUMAN BEING.
