Youtube daily Follow May 2 2018

Salut Youtube today you are going to come with me and we're gonna learn

French fast! I'm actually here with my French

professor Aurélie and we've come up together with an amazing plan which is

how to learn French super quickly because in the next three months I need

to up my level of French a lot because I'm going to be passing my DELF B2 exam

if you're actually looking for a French professor in Paris or anywhere in the

world I definitely recommend orally because she actually specializes in

French courses online as well. You can find me on my website which is called

Parisoclock.com you can find all the info there. Sharing my love for French and the

French culture is a passion. I myself love languages I've been living in

Mexico Germany and the u.s. so I really love learning a new language and helping

people who are also passionate about languages so I'll be happy to help.

It has just been so useful to have things fall into place and it's made a huge

difference so I can definitely 10 out of 10 would recommend so without further

ado let's get into the video which has our hacks or our tricks to learn French

as quickly as possible from 0 up to conversational and strong intermediate

within six months if you're living outside of France and as quickly as

three months if you're living already in a french-speaking country

So we've been working on a concept of how to place a little bit of French in

your everyday life we truly believe that we have 15 hours a week you will be able

to improve your French so 15 hours a week my sounds like a lot of time it

sounds like a lot but we have some really good tricks that will definitely

help you the first thing that you could definitely do is to put some French in

your daily habits by listening to podcasts it's about taking those rituals

that already exist. We assume that 30 minutes per day in the morning you're

either doing some sport or you're listening to music or something while

you're getting ready in the morning or you're on your way to work or school

whatever it is but we assume you have 30 minutes in the morning there are some

very good podcasts in French so it's on your phone you put your headphones and

you're ready to go. So we have some recommendations, so actual podcasts to

learn French the first one is coffee break French and

this is a podcast where they actually take someone who speaks no French at

all and the first season is about teaching her all of the basics and so

you'll learn along with her and then you've got season 2 3 & 4 which become

more and more advanced then we also recommend listening to podcasts for

enjoyment on topics that you're actually passionate about and I'm gonna put a

link down in the description box below with a list of 30 podcast ideas to get

you started

The second thing that you can do is try to think about what you like to do in your

free time in the evening things that you would normally do maybe you like to

watch the series maybe you like to watch a movie maybe you like to watch some

YouTube videos things that you would normally do and try to do this in French

for instance I am really interested in in health and food in in veganism so

right now I'm watching videos about this topic doing it in another language of

course it is a way to practice this language so find a particular theme

that you're really interested in that you're passionate about that you want to

learn more about and try to find videos in French. Exactly a lot of the youtubers

out there subtitle their videos for example even me I do all of my videos

subtitled in English and in French we'll put some ideas for youtubers to check

out Netflix it's pretty easy you just have to switch the language to French

you can put the subtitles either in English or in French depending on your

level think about your other rituals, do you watch the news every evening? Why not

watching the global news in French? And you know do you like to listen to music

while you're cooking in the evening maybe? You could change it to French

music and again we'll link down in the description box below some nice French

music that you can start listening to. All of these things add up. We say that

you can find easily one hour per week night you know Monday to Friday to be

able to integrate French into your daily routine so that's another five hours on

the counter

Another idea to make things really stick is to play with these kind of

applications that we have available to us so what I would recommend is to take

something like Duolingo or Babbel and to do it 15 minutes a day seven days a week

so where do you find those magical 15 minutes because we're all very time poor

well what I would do is in the morning if I had a coffee break I would take my

coffee by myself and I'll do a little bit of work on my app before going back

to the my desk also something yet you can do on your commute home this kind of

thing I think 15 minutes we can find relatively easily seven days a week so

now let's move on to what you can do at the weekend when you have more time so

something that you could do if you like to watch movies is watch moving French

of course and maybe if you're a beginner you can start with something easy like

for instance a Disney movie if you like Disney movies or anime movies and then

once you've reached a higher level you could switch to a regular movie

something that just came out and that you be wanting to watch anyway. exactly

and this is perfect because I remember what it felt like to be a

beginner I chose films like The Lion King because I knew the storyline off By

heart it's almost like watching a film with no sound and then you just see

what's happening and you know what's gonna happen it's the storyline but you

don't realize but you're actually absorbing a lot of French and a lot of

little words here and there like a puzzle you know bit by bit you'll start

to understand more and more and more

it was gonna come and I'm so sorry you knew it was coming

the French grammar yes its toughest it's complicated but all we're asking for to

add to the counter is two hours per week it depends on how you like to learn but

this - do you want to explain what this is? - yeah this is like a Bible, even for

French people when we were little at school and we need to learn French

grammar as well that's what we use it's very very well done it's very precise

you find all the rules that you really need to know if you are someone who

enjoys rules and you're someone who likes to write things down and learn

things off by heart and this kind of thing this really is you know as Aurélie

said it's the Bible so you can't do much better than this it's very detailed.

If you're someone like me and you need something very practical I need to do

the exercises I can read you know the rules and it doesn't make sense to me

and then I start doing the exercises and things start to click and so I use this

book which is Grammaire progressive de français and actually you have the

beginner intermediate and advanced levels and it's just there's like one

page of explanation and then it jumps into exercise after exercise after

exercise and you've got the answers there are lots of let's say more

fun books out there like there's this book the frequency dictionary of French

is the most 5000 most frequently used for each words for example if you're

someone who just wants to jump into conversation doesn't really care about

the academic side and just wants to get going something like this might suit you

a little bit more. There are loads of options out there I'll put all of the links to these

down below in the description so you can buy them if you'd like

but there is something I think important would you say as a French professor

about learning the basic yes you cannot go around you need to know the

foundation it's the foundation of your knowledge of French and then you move on

to other fun stuff but the fun stuff needs to be connected to the to the

foundation to the grammar.

At the end of the day it all comes back to speaking to

practicing to just speaking speaking speaking so conversation is really key

here for you to improve your French so this will take just one hour per week

there are tons of things you can do hardly anywhere in the world you will

find a French club you'll be meeting people will be really happy to practice

and speak with you maybe they were gonna exchange let's say Rosie was to join she

will speak English and then the people speak French to her. It's called "Franglish"

I think in Paris, the language exchanges, and it's like speed dating

but language speed dating. And if you don't have access to such a club you

will find tons of websites online some will be free to be an exchange also that

works both for speaking and for writing because there also you know web sites

where you can find French pen pals for example and this kind of thing that's

why we said at the start that this plan will get you up to a conversational level

easily in six months if you're outside of France but if you're in France it's

only three months because you have so many opportunities to speak that it

should all come together a lot quicker. Just one note on the speaking and I know

it's so easy to say and harder to do in reality and I was a huge victim of this

I'm speaking of experience like don't worry about the mistakes honestly it's

like the more mistakes you make the bitter because they learned that much

faster

As you guys can see we've tried to focus really on free things that you can do to

self teach yourself French but I have to say the final thing that will just make

everything fall into place is to have a French professor and what we're talking

about here is 45 minutes to 1 hour per week for maybe 2 to 3 months and you'll

see a world of difference this person will follow your progress

there will identify the points that you need to work on they will adapt their

class to your specific needs with a one-to-one relationship it's really it's

really helpful and it's really I think it goes faster for you to improve

because it's really focused on on what you personally need if you're super

serious about investing and learning French and becoming fluent to the point

where you can converse with native speakers I think it's definitely money

that you won't regret spending you know you've got French professors like Aurélie

who actually don't need to even live in your town you can do it by

Skype and we have no problem paying you know X dollars monthly for our gym

membership, think about it this way you're training your brain to

be able to have a brand new skill and a new language it's like it's like buying

a gym membership for a few months to get nice and fit in French! Cool so I hope

you guys enjoyed this plan I'm going to be doing this plan myself I've got big

goals I'm passing this exam in July this year so I'm gonna do a check-in video in

three months time and we can see how much progress I've made compared to the

video that I filmed in French which I will link up below you can check that

out here and we can do a compare and contrast I'll speak in French during the

video and you tell me if you see the progress that I've made I hope that

helps you guys I hope it inspires you to get really serious about learning your

French and that dream that you want to make your reality if you guys have any

questions if you have any suggestions for the other learners and you know who

are watching this video please put a comment down below we can carry on the

conversation down there and help each other out but

until the next video I'll see you guys next time happy French learning and

à bientôt, bye!

FOLLOW THE LEADER - Duration: 4:11.

Hey team. Daniel here. Let me tell you a story about how we were broke, going out

of business and how we turn it around. Check it out.

January 2012, my lovely wife

looks at me after running Grunt Style for three years and she says, "It's time

to shut this thing down." Well, the reason why she said that is because although we

were probably bringing in you know ten to fifteen thousand dollars a month in

sales revenue, it was costing me sixteen to twenty one thousand dollars to do it.

I was drawing no income because I thought if I don't take a salary I can

just grow the business faster and that wasn't working. We had no

money left in the bank, very little inventory, we weren't making it. And I

said, "Okay, that's fine but we have our first trade show coming up in Las Vegas.

If we can make this one work, we should stay in business. If we can't we can shut

it down." So, she agreed and she turned to me she says, "Ok great. What does

success look like?" And I said, "Six thousand dollars. If we could do six

thousand dollars in our first trade show in Vegas we should stay open." And she

agreed to me and then I told her you good you're coming with me.

So we just worked the entire show. By the time we were done, I start to

tallying up all of the receipts. If you remember, I needed six thousand

dollars to make this successful. That was the sign from God from the heavens

that you should be in business, right? The receipts after I tallied it up was sixty

two hundred dollars. Just enough to be really depressed about staying in

business. And I'm thinking to myself I'm like oh my gosh why is this so hard.

I put everything I had into the show. We went all-in and we barely inched out.

Barely got out of it. I'm like I don't know if I can do this for the next few

years. This is next to impossible so I decided to try to think my way through

it. And I remember a time from the Army yeah where if you wanted to get better

at push-ups, you didn't talk to the guy who was barely passing. You talked

to the guy who was doing you know hundred plus push-ups on his fitness

test. So I pulled out my yellow yellow legal pad.

I draw a line down the center of the page. On the left side I wrote

down the name of everyone who was in business who was better than me.

Most of the people I had no idea who they were in person but I recognize they're

better than me. Then I wrote down what they did (it was a long list by the

way) there's a lot of people better than me.

There's the other side I wrote down what they were doing that I wasn't. And what I

wanted to contrast that different to show them that these successful people

are doing this different than me. And that was really the learn lesson I got.

So some of the things that I saw is these people are posting on Facebook

two or three times a day. I was posting two or three times a week.

Well, that doesn't cost me any money. Okay, great. I didn't understand at

the time what engagement meant but they did. As long as I could follow those

actions I can start to learn those things. This other company was pushing

out two or three new products a week. I couldn't afford that but I could

probably do two or three a month. So no problem. I started following those

leaders. By me replicating their successes or trying to what helped make

me more successful. It's like trying to follow the faster guy in track, alright.

If you try to keep up with the fastest guy, you might not pass him up. At least

not now. But you're certainly going to challenge yourself to be better and

better. You're watching him what he's doing so you can improve. That was my

learn lesson in that day during that whole trip. Let's follow the leader.

After that moment, our company started doubling in size

month after month after month for the next 11 months. We doubled every single

month in revenue. It was such a big turning point for us. And that's how we

went from broke to almost going out of business to learn lessons where we could

start growing. I hope you learned something guys.

Hey guys. Thanks for watching. Please tag or share this message with somebody who

needs to hear it. Also smash that like and subscribe button and definitely

leave a comment below. I want to hear your questions or comments or what you

have to say guys. I love reading those. Thank you.

How can you follow 71 thousand people on Twitter? Come on! - Duration: 2:18.

Hi, This is Loren Weisman.

This is the podcast video supplement for episode 91.

How can you really follow 71 thousand people on Twitter?

Do you really have that much time in any given day to follow 71 thousand people?

You're full of it if you say you do.

No one has the time to read through 71 thousand feeds

but people have all the time in the world to say,

I'm gonna follow 10 20 50 people a day, and then most of them will follow me back and

I'll build up this amazing number showcasing how many people are following me.

They're not paying attention to you.

You're not paying attention to them and no one's putting

up any form of authenticity or authority.

It's just blowing up a number.

Wouldn't you rather be engaged with people that as you post, they're looking for your

post as opposed to trying to just show up in their feed and vice versa.

Take the authenticity route.

Take social media to a new level where it becomes

social and not this fake contrived; let me show you how many more followers I

have.

When I see someone that has 30 thousand tweets, and they have.

you know just all these followers that they're following…

to me that says…

Okay, you're lying.

Now, yeah it might be nice to follow certain people back but you really can't put together

those numbers realistically.

I mean, yes you have certain celebrities and there are people that are looking that much,

but if you're not a celebrity why are you trying to pretend

to be one?

Why are you claiming to have things that are not true and at the same time as you're

trying to build up your honor, your authority, your viability, you're presenting

it with a lie?

Take social media back to social.

Take professionalism back to authority.

And take off this idea of putting time in to just follow people

hoping they'll follow you and return to build up a number that doesn't mean

anything.

Use authority, validity, and authenticity in your marketing, in your branding, and in

your promotion and you'll see a lot more of that resonating your way.

How to Travel with a Drone | 12 Tips to Follow + Free Drone Flight Checklist YT - Duration: 8:54.

Hi there, it's Ernest from Trip Astute. In this video, we're discussing how to

travel with a drone and some things to keep in mind to avoid getting in trouble.

(light chiming music)

Drones are an awesome tool when it comes to capturing footage while traveling.

We've been using our drone more frequently when traveling and have been

excited about the footage that we can capture. Though when I first started

using a drone, I have to admit that I was really nervous about traveling with it. I

kept worrying that it would get confiscated or even worse, I would end up

in a foreign jail for violating some rules. In this video, I wanted to share

some tips on traveling with a drone. These are some practical things to

consider when you plan to travel with your unmanned aircraft. So, let's run

through the list. Number 1: Check and follow local laws. Some places are

notoriously strict about flying drones and will even confiscate them at the

airport. Your best bet is to look online and also in specific forums where people

have shared their experience. I'll include some links in the video

description. Also, check to see if your destination country has any apps to help.

When I visited England, they had a free app that helped to identify restricted

areas and it seemed to be more up-to-date than some of the US-based airspace apps.

If you plan to take your drone on a cruise ship, be aware that most cruises

prohibit drones from being brought on board. Some friends of mine recently went

on a cruise through the Caribbean and they had their drone confiscated by the

cruise ship during their trip. So definitely check the rules before you go.

Number 2: Keep your drone and batteries in your carry-on bag. You want to make

sure to keep your drone and batteries in your carry-on bag when traveling on

planes since drones typically use lithium polymer or LiPo batteries, they

cannot be in your checked in luggage due to the risk of fire. Number 3:

Use a LiPo bag. This isn't a requirement but it's more of a best practice when

traveling with LiPo batteries. The bags are meant to contain any fire that could

occur from your battery. It's also recommended that your batteries be

discharged to 50% or less when traveling. That's

difficult to do, so my recommendation is to get a LiPo bag and use it when flying.

The chance of your battery catching on fire is low, but it's always better to be

safe than sorry. Plus, if your drone gets scrutinized at the airport, I think it

helps to show good intention and responsibility with the LiPo bag. Number

4: Take out your batteries during airport security. The batteries are

likely to cause the most concern when traveling, so it helps to have it out

when going through the security screening. Number 5: Load updates and

maps at the hotel. There's nothing worse than getting ready to fly your drone and

realizing that you need to update to the latest firmware. And what's even worse is

getting that message when you don't have a fast and reliable internet connection.

My recommendation is to boot up your drone in your hotel before starting your

day and ensuring that you have the latest firmware loaded. Also, know that

you may have to try it with every battery as some firmware updates get

loaded to the batteries. Number 6: Be discreet and respectful. There are a lot

of negative feelings toward drone operators and sadly, a lot of it is based

on people flying drones in inappropriate places. My advice is to avoid crowds and

try not to gather attention toward yourself. And be considerate to those who

may not want to hear you flying your drone overhead. A tip that I recommend is

to also fly early in the morning if you want to fly in a place that's popular

with tourists. It will avoid gathering a lot of attention and at the same time,

you might actually get some really cool shots of the sunrise. Number 7: Be

cautious of extreme weather. Cold weather can really affect the performance of

your drone, especially when it comes to the batteries. If you plan to fly in cold

weather, you may want to warm the battery beforehand or allow the drone to hover

to warm up before going full throttle on the controls. Hot and humid weather can

also cause your drone to overheat, so be mindful of the temperature and know that

weather can change the way your drone will lift and fly. Also, while flying in

conditions like fog may seem like a great opportunity to capture footage,

it can cause a lot of moisture to build up on and inside your drone.

Not to mention limit your ability to see your drone while flying. So be really

careful. Number 8: Stay focused! One of the biggest

distractions when flying a drone is to have people ask questions. A lot of times,

people will want to ask you questions or engage you in a conversation while in

flight. I recommend keeping your eyes on your drone and controls and asking to speak

to the person after you land. Keeping line-of-sight of your drone is

not only good practice, but it's law in most places, so make sure you maintain

your focus while flying. Number 9: Practice flying and master controls

before traveling. I highly recommend getting comfortable with the drone

before attempting to fly it during your vacation. You want to have a strong

understanding of the controls before launching it in situations where things

may be less predictable or comfortable. Number 10: Picking a clear and open spot

to fly. There have been so many times where I wanted to fly my drone but I

either couldn't get enough GPS satellites or there were just too many

hazards nearby like trees. When selecting a place to fly your drone, take

the time to examine options. I recommend flying from open places to

reduce a chance of hitting an object or losing signal. One thing to add though is

to be extremely careful when flying over water. If you plan to fly from a moving

home point like a boat, set your home point to update to your location rather

than the starting point and give yourself plenty of extra time. Landing on

a boat is extremely tricky, so I would not recommend it unless you have some

experience doing it. Number 11: Consider using a landing pad. This is something

that I recently found extremely useful. Unless you have a smaller drone like a

Spark that allows you to safely land in your hand, I would suggest using a landing pad.

Landing on sand, dirt, or grass can cause long-term damage to the sensitive

internals of your drone, especially if the environment is wet. Folding and

portable landing pads are cheap and definitely worth carrying with you.

Number 12: Use a flight checklist to

minimize flyaways. Aviators love to use checklists to ensure consistency and

routine. I highly recommend using the same technique with your drone. Even if

you know what you're doing, things like locking the home point, checking your

compass interference, and ensuring that you have enough GPS satellites can save

you from having an accidental flyaway. I've posted the checklist that I use

when flying on our website as a free download, so feel free to use it on your

flights. I honestly use it on every flight and there have been many times

where I've had to cancel my flight plan based on something that I couldn't

complete or verify on the checklist. If you do get more serious about drones,

I do recommend getting your FAA Part 107 Certificate. You don't need it as a

hobbyist, but if you want to do any commercial work then it's definitely

required. I just got mine after taking the Drone Pilot Ground School course by

UAV Coach. Taking a prep course isn't required to pass, but the course not only

helped me to get a 95% on my test, but I actually felt like I learned the

concepts being taught. These included things like understanding airspace

classifications, weather, reading sectional charts, and even just best

practices for flying unmanned aircrafts. Plus, the instructor Allen is very

responsive to questions. If you're interested, Allen at UAV Coach has

provided our channel with a discount code. Just use TRIPASTUTE50 to receive

How To Fight With The Quarterstaff 3 – Follow Up Thrust - Duration: 1:51.

Welcome back to another

Dreynschlag tutorial on historical European fighting

with the quarterstaff with Gregor,

Gedi and myself: Bernhard.

Today we will introduce you to another basic attack pattern:

The thrust from a bind situation.

Let's get to it.

Okay: For this sequence Gedi leads the attack with an Oberhau

and Gregor decides to counter it

with an Oberhau of his own.

Thus again ending up in a neutral

bind position. From here

Gregor wants to do a thrust. In order to be able to do so

at first he has to be careful to maintain pressure

on Gedis staff to be able to control it.

What he does now is: He raises

his white end, thereby lining up his staff

for a thrust and

to do the actual thrust

all he has to do is to take a small step towards Gedi...

Thus doing a thrust to the face.

As always be careful to maintain

proper posture when retreating. That's it.

Let's have it once more please.

Now let's see what a thrust looks like in

(almost) real life:
