Hacks for Google Chrome - Duration: 2:58.
Today, I'm gonna give you my three biggest hacks for Google Chrome.
I'm Charlie with Tech Nav.
Tech Nav is a traveling tech support company that serves East Tennessee.
We fix and support computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Being a full time technician, I hear a lot of the same questions over and over.
That's why I started Tech Tips: to pass along some of the knowledge that I've gained.
So, many of you might be familiar with Google Chrome, a popular internet browser... but,
do you use extensions for Google Chrome?
Well, before we get too far into it, I'll describe what an extension is.
An extension is a third-party developed add-on to Google Chrome.
So, it's a little program that kind of "tweaks" how Chrome works.
The first extension we'll look at is Adblock Plus.
This is what we consider to be one of the best kept secrets on the internet.
What this does is automatically removes ads from webpages.
So, if there's any websites that you go to that have a lot of ads, like Facebook or anything
else... it'll actually strip all of those out so you never see them.
When searching, look for "AdBlock Plus" in the Google Chrome app store.
My next favorite extension is called "Just Read."
Just Read is an extension that allows you to strip down what you on the internet webpage
to something a bit more reader friendly.
Just Read strips the formatting of a lot of websites, so you can just focus on the content
that you actually want to see.
So gone are all the crazy formattings.
What you get is text.
So if you're actually on a website to read, you can JUST READ (cymbals).
My third favorite extension, (and this is one that I suggest to a lot of people) is
called Web of Trust.
What Web of Trust does is, it relies on a community of people to rate websites.
So, when you're searching for websites, on the page of results, you'll actually see a
little circle, next to each page.
This circle can be anywhere between green and red, depending on what the community has
rated it.
So, websites that have many some nasty malware or just not family-friendly material will
have a red circle to let you know.
If it's green, then you're safe to browse!
This is very useful for those of us who aren't sure where we should be.
So, those are my three favorite extensions.
Now, we'll take a look at how to install these extensions on Google Chrome.
So, first you're going to go to the top right hand corner of Google Chrome.
You're going to see a little button with three dots.
This is the options menu.
So, click on there and go down the list.
You'll see one option that says "More Tools."
Highlight that, and you'll see another list.
We're going to click on the button that says "Extensions."
Once we're on the extensions page, down on the bottom left, we're going to click "Open
Chrome Web Store."
This is going to take us to the little portal with all kinds of extensions for Google Chrome.
So, on the left side, we can search for whatever we're looking for.
For instance, we could type in "AdBlock Plus" here or we could type in "Just Read."
You can also search for other functionalities that you might want to add.
Thanks for tuning back into to Tech Tips.
Hopefully we've given you a way to get more out of your internet browsing.
Be sure to check back in every week for more Tech Tips.

Google App – Mobile stores near me - Duration: 0:31.
What was the name of that store we passed on our way here?
Grandpa, shall we go to the nearby Nadeem Mobile?
Nadeem? I used to give tuitions to his son and he didn't even invite me for his wedding!
Grandpa, how about Shivam Mobile?
He always loses in the local society elections. No, not from him.
Grandpa…
no no, not Patil. He didn't even send me the calendar for this year.
Grandpa…
Hmm?
Shall we go to Cellular Joint? They have a good rating and also open till 10 PM.
Who is this…?
Whether it's ratings or offers, just ask the Google app and get information on all the businesses near you.
Oh Gattu? So this is your shop…?

Google presents its first 360-degree interactive doodle - Duration: 2:43.
Google presents its first interactive doodle in 360 degrees
On May 3, 1912, the illusionist and director of French cinema Georges Méliès released
'À la conquête du Pôle' ('To the conquest of the Pole ', in Spanish).
A short film, inspired by the novel 'Las adventures of Captain Hatteras', in which
the adventures of Professor Maboul are narrated, who decides to go to the North Pole with a group
of scientists to prove that their 'aero-bus' is the best option to get to this
location.
A trip that will become a great adventure for the teacher and the scientists who
accompany on this trip, who should face dangers like the giant of
the snows.
A fantastic story that has remained for the memory as one of the most
outstanding of Méliès. 106 years later, Google pays homage to this work of art with the
First google interactive in 360 degrees.
The father of special effects In this first interactive doodle, developed
by Google Spotlight Stories, Google Arts & Culture and the Cinémathèque française,
the search engine has decided to pay tribute to a large part of the tricks that made this filmmaker
and French illusionist in one of the precursors of special effects and gender of
science fiction on the big screen.
Among other things, Méliès is remembered by multiply on stage in 'Man
orchestra ', a movie that was released in 1900, or for blowing his head in
'The Four Troublesome Heads', in 1898.
For that and many other techniques, the search engine has decided to honor one of the parents
of techniques such as scenographic machinery, pyrotechnics, optical effects or effects
of assembly and color.
From special effects to virtual reality The director, who in turn was also a cartoonist,
comedian, actor, writer, set designer even director of the Robert-Houdin theater,
he shot about 500 movies in his studios on the outskirts of Paris.
For his contribution to the film industry, and all to the world of special effects and
to the science fiction sector, Google also has wanted to innovate with the homage to Georges
Méliès
For that same reason, the search engine has developed his first interactive doodle in 360 degrees.
A project that allows us to immerse ourselves in an animated story based on the adventures
of Méliès.
