N. Korea, U.S. agree on need for second summit and are planning next high-level talks: Kang - Duration: 1:57.

It would appear that progress between North Korea and the U.S. has slowed down... in terms

of denuclearization.

But South Korea's foreign minister, Kang Kyung-wha, says nuclear talks between the two are still

ongoing.

And, she says, they're discussing dates for their next high-level talks.

Our Kan Hyeong-woo has more.

South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha says that North Korea and the U.S. remain

fully committed to dialogue,... and that the two sides are continuing their denuclearization

talks.

In an interview with local news outlet Hankyoreh , Kang said Pyeongyang and Washington are

discussing possible dates for their next high-level talks.

She emphasized the need for the meeting to include guarantees for the two sides and define

what those guarantees should be.

One crucial issue is what guarantees the U.S. will offer when North Korea shuts down its

Yeongbyeon nuclear complex, which would be a big concession from the regime.

The two countries also feel the need for a second summit between North Korean leader

Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump,... but according to Kang, there's great uncertainty

on whether it will take place in January or February next year as hoped.

And last week, the U.S. Special Representative to North Korea Stephen Biegun made some conciliatory

gestures to the North during his visit to Seoul.

He said the U.S. will review allowing its citizens to visit the North for humanitarian

purposes,... and consider sending humanitarian aid worth 8-million U.S. dollars to the country.

Kang said it will be a big step forward if the regime responds to those gestures,...

which is why attention now turns to Kim Jong-un's New Year's address.

As for the sanctions on the North,... Kang said Seoul and Washington will need to coordinate

closely on the appropriate time to lift the sanctions.

Of course, it will depend on how much progress is made on the irreversible denuclearization

of North Korea.

There will also need to be similar discussions at the UN Security Council.

The Supersonic Submarine - New Secret US Army Development? - Duration: 7:13.

Submarines haunt the dreams of sailors around the world.

Secretive, stealthy, and able to strike from out of nowhere, they remain the greatest threat

to surface ships.

Thankfully, submarines are limited in just how fast they can move, typically with a top

speed of 29 mph (46 kmh), which is well short of a typical destroyer's top speed of 40 mph

(64 kmh).

Lagging behind their potential prey, submarines must typically intercept their targets or

lurk in sea lanes and wait for an enemy to stumble into them.

But what if subs could move much, much faster than they currently do?

Hello and welcome to another episode of The Infographics Show- today we're taking a look

at supersonic submarines- the US Navy's new Superweapon.

Moving underwater can be more difficult and energy intensive than cruising along the surface,

thanks to the huge amount of drag that water exerts on a vessel and denser water a submarine

encounters the deeper it dives.

Thus while speedboats can zip along the surface of the ocean at speeds of up to 90 mph (150

kmh), anything traveling beneath the waves must exert exponentially larger amounts of

energy to move as fast- something traditional submarines are incapable of doing.

Yet in June of this year it was revealed that Chinese hackers had stolen sensitive data

from a US contractor that had been working on a top secret program to develop a supersonic

missile to be launched from a submarine.

While the data was only sensitive in nature and not classified, it did hint at a major

avenue of research the US was undertaking, and hinted that the US Navy was not just interested

in supersonic missiles, but supersonic submarines as well.

For US/China observers though, the revelation was no surprise, as in 2014 China had made

claims of huge technological breakthroughs in developing their own supersonic submarines.

But just how can you move a submarine through the water at supersonic speeds without huge

amounts of energy or absolutely destroying the ship in the first place?

Let's take a look at both the US and China's approaches to the problem.

The US proposal involves using something called supercavitation- a technology that the Soviet

Union developed in the 1960s for super-fast torpedoes.

The Soviet approach to moving a torpedo at hundreds of kilometers an hour was to add

a special segment to the nose cone of a torpedo filled with pressurized gas, that gas in turn

is ejected at extremely high pressures and creates a bubble around the torpedo.

A rocket motor, rather than a traditional propeller, then pushes the torpedo along,

and since it's avoiding drag from water the torpedo could reach incredible speeds.

The design was a success, but because of the need to maintain a gas bubble, the range of

the torpedo was only a few miles.

By scaling the technique up dramatically, the US hopes to be able to cocoon an entire

submarine in a gas bubble, and then use powerful rocket motors to blast across the ocean at

speeds faster than sound.

The physics involved show that the concept could work, and already does at smaller, torpedo

scales, yet so far the US has been unable to overcome several obstacles.

One of those being the difficulty in maintaining the integrity of a large enough bubble around

the submarine, and keeping it from 'pulsating' dangerously.

During current, smaller scale tests, the bubble tended to expand and contract to such extremes

that parts of the submarine model made frequent contact with water.

At extreme speeds that would be disastrous and could rip a submarine apart, or at the

very least create so much friction that the submarine would go wildly off course.

To overcome the problem scientists are experimenting with moderating the rate of gas release at

the tip of the submarine.

China's approach to the problem uses traditional supercavitation techniques with a new technique

that involves spraying a special liquid membrane onto the vessel's hull to reduce its friction

with water.

The vessel would gradually speed up with this membrane being constantly sprayed on as it

was worn away.

Once hitting about 62 mph (100 kmh), an air bubble could be formed and maintained.

China's solution would entail the use of a synthetic lubricant of sorts to help a vessel

'slip' through the water.

It also provides a possible fix to one of the biggest practical challenges facing supercavitating

vessels: how do you steer it?

Moving at such incredible speeds, if you were to extend a fin or control surface into the

water it would be immediately snapped off, and the force exerted might throw your submarine

into a spin which would lead to disaster.

Yet by moderating the flow of their liquid membrane the Chinese could ensure that one

side of the submarine's bubble experiences slightly more drag than the other, which would

allow a sub to turn, dive, or rise as it sped along at the speed of sound.

If it truly works, it would be an elegant solution to one of the biggest practical hurdles

facing this entire concept.

Yet a supersonic submarine would not make for a very good offensive weapon, as submarines

are in fact extremely vulnerable assets who's best defense is stealth.

A submarine crossing the ocean at supersonic speeds may be able to get from San Francisco

to Shanghai in 100 minutes, but it will generate so much noise that even a deaf sailor would

hear it.

That would make a supersonic sub extremely easy prey for surface anti-submarine ships,

or other hostile attack subs.

That's why the technology will likely not be used for offensive purposes, but rather

for logistical ones.

Supersonic subs that could cross the Pacific in just over an hour would be idea for quickly

moving personnel and resources to conflict areas, and would be incredibly appealing for

the US which faces the prospect of coming to the aid of its NATO allies in Europe in

case of war against Russia.

For decades Russia has counted on the fact that in the case of war, it might be able

to force a cease fire favorable to its interests by quickly overwhelming European defenders

and then digging in before the bulk of US forces could arrive weeks later from America.

Faced with the prospect of a difficult war against an entrenched enemy, and the massive

civilian casualties it would cause, NATO might be more inclined to simply acquiesce to part

of Russia's demands rather than wage a very costly war.

Yet a supersonic underwater transport vehicle could change all of that by giving the US

the ability to move large amounts of personnel and equipment across the Atlantic in a matter

of hours.

That would make a US buildup possible in days, rather than the weeks it would currently take

to ship American attack helicopters and armor across the ocean.

Such a fast transport system would also give US leaders a capability they have dreamt of

for decades- the ability to put boots on the ground nearly anywhere in the world within

hours.

As one US military officer once noted, the ability to place a company of US Infantry

anywhere in the world within a few hours would stop a lot of wars before they started.

Supersonic submarines could be revolutionary tools for any nation's navy, yet the technical

challenges are formidable and its unlikely that they will be overcome anytime soon.

Some worry that the pilfering of US secrets by China may erode the US's military edge

over its potential adversary, but the continued theft of low-level secrets by Chinese hackers

merely points at a culture that is more adept at trying to steal revolutionary new technologies

than to invent its own- something which should be of serious concern for Chinese military

planners.

Would you ever take a ride on a supersonic sub?

What other military uses might a supersonic submarine have?

RUSSIA WARNS WAR WITH U.S. COULD BREAK OUT DUE TO 'FATAL' MISUNDERSTANDING - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 5:41.

RUSSIA WARNS WAR WITH U.S. COULD BREAK OUT DUE TO 'FATAL' MISUNDERSTANDING

Moscow's top diplomat has argued that Russia was doing its best to avoid a conflict with

the United States, but that both countries appeared to be on a dangerous collision course

due to a lack of communication.

Asked Monday about the possibility of all-out war breaking out between the U.S.-led NATO

Western military alliance and Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the state-run

Sputnik News that "everyone in the world understands this well: an armed conflict involving the

two leading nuclear powers, Russia and the United States, will have disastrous consequences

for humanity."

Echoing previous warnings about the prospects of an exchange of weapons of mass destruction,

he said that "there is no doubt that there can be no winners in a nuclear war and it

should never be unleashed."

Lavrov said that Washington and its allies were "obsessed with their own geopolitical

ambitions" and "not ready to adapt to global realities that are not changing in their favor."

As a result, he said that dialogue had been frozen and international agreements such as

the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty were in danger of being scrapped, creating

an even more dangerous equation.

"Such a conflict, based on instruments of power inevitably leads to a further imbalance

of the global security architecture and contributes to an arms race," Lavrov told Sputnik.

"A situation may well arise when the price of an error or misunderstanding becomes fatal."

Ties between the West and Russia have deteriorated since Moscow annexed the Crimean Peninsula

in a 2014 referendum that has received limited international recognition amid ongoing political

unrest in Ukraine.

Allegations that the Russian military has aided separatists battling Ukrainian forces

in the east further compelled NATO to bolster its borders with more international troops

and defenses, leading Moscow to shore up its own positions.

The precarious situation in Europe was exacerbated by allegations that the Kremlin attempted

to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election in favor of then-Republican candidate Donald

Trump.

Although Trump promised a reset in relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Washington

has expanded sanctions against Russia throughout the current administration, and the White

House has announced its intention to end the INF treaty, a 1987 agreement banning the deployment

of land-based launchers with ranges from 310 to 3,400 miles.

Putin said Tuesday that Russia "will be forced to take additional measures to strengthen

our security" should Washington leave the INF treaty.

His spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, said Friday that "Russia will have to target" any U.S.

missiles aimed at it in Europe.

Meanwhile, Lavrov also expressed concern that the State Department has apparently not responded

to attempts to negotiate a renewal of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START),

which sets limits for both countries' nuclear arsenals and will expire in 2021.

The U.S. contends that Russia is in violation of its Cold War-era obligations.

The U.S. military has maintained a sizeable lead on Russia's military prowess, but has

viewed its growth with deep suspicion.

Top strategy documents from Washington and the Pentagon have designated countering Moscow

as a leading goal for the country.

For its part, Russia has announced the development of advanced new weapons in an effort to narrow

the gap between the two leading powers.

"Of course, we are taking the necessary steps to protect our national interests and strengthen

the country's defense capability," Lavrov told Sputnik News.

"President Putin has spoken about this more than once.

At the same time, we hope that common sense will still prevail.

After all, with all the diverging positions, both Russia and the states of the West jointly

bear a huge part of the responsibility for the future of all mankind, for the search

for effective answers to the many challenges and threats of our time."

International tensions surrounding the conflict in Ukraine have flared since Russia's seizure

last month of three Ukrainian naval ships accused of breaking international maritime

law in the disputed Kerch Strait between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

The personnel and vessels remain in custody, while Kiev has warned of the possibility of

an imminent war with Moscow.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO, so an attack on the ex-Soviet republic would not trigger

an Article 5 response from the coalition.

The U.S., however, has already contributed troops and equipment to assist Ukraine in

its fight against pro-Russia rebels and, in light of the recent standoff, has pledged

to expand its support for Kiev.

"In response to Russia's dangerous escalation and unjustified November 25 attack on three

Ukrainian naval vessels near the Kerch Strait, the Department of State, subject to Congressional

approval, will provide an additional $10 million in Foreign Military Financing to further build

Ukraine's naval capabilities," State Department deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino said

in a statement Friday.

26 Things You Missed In Jordan Peele's Us - Official Trailer - Duration: 4:40.

All of the titles in this trailer are written over these graphics, that resemble the Rorschach

test, which is used by psychologists to make determinations about their patients based

on what they think they see first in the inkblots.

If you want to hear about the secret images hidden in these inkblots then stick around

to the end of this video.

[Intro]

It's a Decemberween miracle!

We got a new horror trailer on Decemberween.

What a generous gift from Peele.

Bring it in Peele.

Bring it in.

Alright, so this trailer starts off with the family in the car, going to the beach and

listening to the song "I Got 5 on It".

The kid asks what that means and the daughter tells him about drugs, but then the father

tells him,

"It's not about drugs, it's a dope song.

Don't do drugs."

Now I'm not really an affianado on hip-hop, unless we're talking about lo-fi, so I had

to look this one up, and according my research HE'S A LIAR.

The dad lied to his son.

About the meaning of this song.

But one of the things we've all been wondering about Us before the trailer came out, was

if this one is going to be more of a straight horror flick, or lean more towards comedy.

And it looks to be more on the serious side.

You've even got the son wearing a Jaws shirt, and not only that, but wearing it to the beach.

He's also got this Wolfman mask, I think that's what it is.

And the girl that we meet later is wearing a Michael Jackson "Thriller" t-shirt,

which of course, has a music video known for a depiction of a werewolf movie at the beginning.

Or maybe it's most known for spawning this meme now, but hopefully not.

So the son wanders off at the beach, encounters a spooky guy who's T-posing?

Dude you don't need to be t-posing, you already have blood on your hands.

But that's actually not the only point in the trailer that this happens, because the

son of the clone family is also seen doing it.

See, even horror villains can do it for the meme sometimes.

These dopplegangers of the original family, take over the house and they appear to be

evil versions of the main characters.

But in addition to this family, there is also a duplicate of this little girl, this boat

towards the beginning of the trailer is not the same as the one seen later on in the dark,

and when they're initially walking to the beach, their long shadows represent a dark

version of themselves.

Since they have a dark version of themselves, they may also be the next hit Nintendo franchise.

In fact, if you pause one minute and fifty-three seconds into the trailer, you can clearly

see Mario is standing there, holding hands with one of the doppelgangers.

This one's called scissors Mario.

The hand-holding is also seen in this classroom scene with a bunch of stick figures holding

hands on the chalkboard.

The handprints here below the chalkboard are reminiscent of a Kindergarten art project

type of thing, but in this case they're all red, a reminder of the bloody-handed t-posing

guy from before.

We get it dude, we get it!

The other notable thing for me in this shot is the woman holding these cutouts up like

bunny ears.

There are a lot of references to magic in this trailer.

Rabbits are usually associated with magic, because magicians are always trying to pull

a rabbit out of a hat for some reason.

The daughter's got a rabbit on her shirt at the lake, the doppelganger son sits like

a rabbit, there's a hall full of rabbits, and a fight that takes place in a room full

of caged rabbits.

The title card has a Rorschach test where the middle white part looks like a rabbit's

face looking straight at you.

We'll come back to the rest of this though.

Another possible reason for all of the rabbits other than the magic reference, is that rabbits

are known to quickly reproduce and the antagonists of this movie seem to be reproductions of

the main family.

When the son wanders off, he goes towards an attraction called Merlin's Forest.

There is also a painting of a fox on the side of that building, a natural predator of rabbits

and in this scene in the closet there is a board game called Magic.

So those are the definite magic references, and then there's also a shot here of the

daughter on this cracked mirror, which makes me think of people sometimes referring to

magic tricks as smoke and mirrors.

But the mirrors could have a different meaning, since the doppelgangers are like mirror images

of the original characters.

And that's where I'm gonna get into the inkblot stuff.

Most of them are mirrored down the center.

I think this one looks like the son's Wolfman mask a little bit.

Maybe a little bit more like Chewbacca actually, but they're both pretty close.

In this one I see a skull.

And in this one I'm getting a creepy pair of eyes with a mask.

Maybe a little Sub-Zero going on there.

The final title card is the most interesting.

I pointed out the rabbit already, but this could also be interpreted as the handle of

the scissors seen throughout the trailer and poster.

Then there are two faces looking outward, but this is the only title graphic that doesn't

have perfect symmetry.

Let me know what you saw in each of those Rorschach tests though, those are always interesting

to hear what people saw.

Wait… hold on, hold on…

I think I see something....

Yes, it appears to say… subscribe to CZsWorld for new horrors every week, ring that deathbell

for notifications and I'll see you in the next one.

Assuming we both survive.

How The US War With Iran Was Supposed To Go | Syria 20 - Duration: 6:12.

Hey there.

So this is how the US's next multi trillion dollar war was supposed to start, and this

is also how the next couple decades were supposed to go.

At some point in the 2030s or 2020s, or even 2019 a whole bunch of American soldiers were

supposed to die.

That's what the US presence in Syria is all about, and that's why US soldiers were

permanently stationed there in 2017.

To die.

Seriously.

That's the policy here.

Nobody has come out and said it directly, but folks from John Bolton to Mike Pompeo

have made it very clear.

Let me connect the dots…

As of last week The US troops were intended to be in Syria until Iran and Assad are not.

As the past 7 years have made very clear, those guys aren't going anywhere without a

full on invasion.

And a whole bunch of dead US soldiers is what Washington DC needs to launch that invasion.

It doesn't have to be all 2 to 4000 of the Americans , just a couple hundred would do

the trick.

Could be a spare missile from Iran or Russia, or maybe a concerted attack from Hezbollah

or some other militia.

Whatever.

Dead Americans will give Washington DC's morons what they need to start the US's final war

in the Middle East.

Now we haven't even begun paying for their last multi-trillion dollar disasters yet.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan represent a solid quarter to a third of US national

debt.

So no matter how much MSNBC or FOX News may fantasize about invading Iran, we can't afford

that sort of thing anymore.

No the US War with Iran will be fought over the massed corpses of hundreds of thousands

more dead Syrians and Iraqis.

The first month or so will go great.

US Defense contractors will make hundreds of billions.

Chickenhawks from Jake Tapper to Max Boot will get exactly the sorts of images that

they think US power is made of.

Everyone wearing an Iranian uniform in Iraq or Syria will be slaughtered, and only a few

tens of thousands more innocent civilians will die in the crossfire.

Assad and his whole family will die horribly in the streets, and whatever sociopath is

US President at that point will congratulate everyone for a job well done.

Then the second month will start.

Against Washington DC's predictions, the Iranian people will strangely fail to turn friendly

after we kill all their sons in Syria.

Iran's president Rouhani and anybody else who ever tried to negotiate with the US will

probably get the Assad treatment.

Iran will finally become the massive state sponsor of terrorism the US has always claimed

it was.

If there is anything left of the Iraqi government it will turn against us as well.

The moderate rebels in Syria who failed to get together to fight Assad will definitely

unify to fight the US occupiers.

Sunni and Shia, Arab and Kurd and even Turk, everyone will get together to kill US soldiers.

Millions of civilians will die to kill tens thousands of those US soldiers.

By the first year we should be at Vietnam levels of casualties.

The horror show will almost certainly spread to Lebanon, Jordan and other countries.

The EU will finally splinter completely under refugee flows that will dwarf those the US

created in 2015.

The world will fall to pieces as the US President feebly shouts at everybody that this is all

Iran's fault.

At some point the madness will stop, not because World War 3 will start, but because China,

Japan, and what's left of Europe will finally stop buying US debt.

Forced to choose between Medicare and baby boomer power fantasies the US public will

go with Medicare.

The US empire will evaporate.

Our military forces will pull out of the Middle East, and then fiscal realities will require

that it move out of Germany, Korea, Japan, and everywhere else as well.

The other three branches of the US military will be rolled into the Coast Guard, in fact

if not in name.

After yet another disastrous war, nobody will miss the US military's international presence.

Not at first anyway.

That's what's supposed to happen over the next couple decades.

But last week something funny happened.

Donald Trump woke up and decided to pull out of Syria.

Everybody in Washington DC lost their minds.

From CNN to Fox News, from Republican Lindsey Graham to Democrat Nancy Pelosi, all of Washington

DC thinks getting out of Syria is a terrible idea.

Donald Trump is a lot of things, but he is not a creature of Washington DC.

He sees US troops in Syria for what they actually are, an invitation to a war the U.S. cannot

afford, and an end to the US ability to bully anybody.

And he's not interested.

Nobody should be.

The future I talked about in this video has not yet been averted.

All of Trump's generals, and all of the "adults in the room" that are left are

still working to bring about this catastrophic war with Iran in Syria.

It pains me to say this, but Donald Trump is right about Syria, and all those #Resistance

Neocons are Very, very wrong.

You can debate whether or not it's a good thing, but Trump may have just saved the US

empire.

I think this withdrawal from Syria, if it's allowed to happen, could give us all a little

more breathing space to build a better world.

Thanks for watching please subscribe, and if you want a more history based treatment

of this subject, you can check out this video from 8 months ago...

Applications for Naturalization and interview applicants for US citizenship.

Their offices will remain OPEN and all individuals should attend interviews and

appointments as scheduled. USCIS will continue to accept petitions and

applications for benefit requests except noted below. Some USCIS programs, however,

will either expire us or suspend operations or be otherwise affected

until they have received their appropriate funds or are reauthorized by

Congress. These include the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center Program;

2. E-Verify. 3. Conrad 30 J-1 doctors.

4. Non-Minister Religious Workers. Please visit USCIS.gov for further information.

The second department we will talk about is US Customs and Border Patrol or

CBP.gov. On the website it said due to the lapse of federal funding this

website will not actively managed. This website was last

updated on December 21st 2018 and will not be updated until after funding is

enacted. As such, information on this website may not be up-to-date.

Transactions submitted via website might not be processed and we will not be able

to respond to inquiries until after the appropriations are enacted. (Note:) However, you

still can get up to the information that you need on airport or border wait times

before you begin your travel at https://www.cbp.gov/travel/advisories-wait-times

Further Note: US Citizenship Podcast will return to

the CBP website in early 2019 to follow up on some of the scams that

target immigrant travelers. The third department we would like to visit is

Transportation and Security Administration TSA.gov. On the website there was

no shutdown advisory but there is a very helpful ask TSA blog post with travel

tips. In addition to removing electronics larger than a cell phone, TSA recommends

separating foods, powders, and items that, can clutter bags. To facilitate screening

process, they also have a very helpful video about preparing carry-on bags for

security screening. (Watch TSA.gov Travel Tips playlist on YouTube). See the show notes for more details.

The final Department we would like to visit is the US. Department of State

Consular Affairs (travel.state.gov). The notice says at this time scheduled passport and visa

services in the United States and at our US embassies and consulates overseas

will continue during the lapse in appropriation as a situation permits. We

will not update this website until full operation resumed with the exception of

urgent safety and security information. The National Visa Center, the National

Passport Information Center, and the Kentucky

Consular Center will still accept telephone calls and inquiries from the public.

Please note we will be closed for scheduled federal holidays on December

24th and 25th and will reopen on December the 26th. The question on

everybody's mind is what can you do during the government shutdown? Number

Number 1: Check the government websites or their social media accounts to find out

how the shutdown will impact immigration and travel services that are important

to you. Number 2: Carry the correct ID as you travel to and from your

destination this includes your state issued ID such as a driver's license,

passport, and legal permanent resident card. Number 3: make copies or take

photos of your ID and record the number and keep the images and info in a secure

but accessible place. Number 4: take the same precautions for your family

members. Note: the new federal requirements commonly known as REAL ID

begins on October 1, 2020. See the show notes for more details. Number 5:

If you have an opinion about the budget, immigration, travel, or any other topic,

contact your representative by phone or email via Senate gov or House gov.

Frequently the website will ask about your "zip plus four" which is your zip

code plus your route number which you can find by following the link to

USPS.com and entering your street address. You can also write or call (or tweet to) the

President. The address is the White House ,1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW,

Washington DC - 20500 Phone number

202-456-1111. Thanks to the students and staff of

Jordan Peele's Us Trailer: Brief Breakdown/Explained - Duration: 3:00.

Where do we even start with this trailer?

Jordan Peele has a new horror movie coming out next year and he dropped the first trailer

for US on Christmas, as you do, and well it's filled with an incredible amount of symbolism,

stunning visual imagery, analogies, and as you'd expect everyone is running wild with

their own theories about what the heck is going on here.

First off let's dive into the main premise of Us.

From what I can understand and glean from the creepy doppelgangers, the movie is a take

on how we can be our worst enemies.

Now this can go in several different directions.

Us can really just be a commentary on humanity as a whole in general, how human beings have

caused harm to one another for as long as we can all remember.

Then we can delve into the more personal take as well in which each individual holds his

or herself back.

How many times have you heard people tell you that before, that you have no one to blame

but yourself for your failures in life.

Jordan Peele is trying to make us take responsibility and own up to our actions.

If you don't like your life, well then it's completely your own fault.

Then it can also go down to the racial aspect as well, which I personally can't speak

on in detail for obvious reasons.

Peele has said in interviews before that Us won't focus on race unlike Get Out, but

this trailer is chock filled with that type of imagery hearkening to racism and inequality.

Though the premise, in its most basic form, for the most part so far is pretty obvious

it can go in several different directions.

People need to look back on Get Out's first trailer and the many twists and turns it held

back.

Us can pull the rug right from under us and it can be about something else completely.

Maybe it is actually focusing on race and Peele is just trying to not spoil his own

movie.

This leads me to thinking that the dopplegangers aren't the villains here somehow.

Think about it, the first time we see them and possibly the main family sees them in

the movie is when they enter their house.

At first they seem threatening but it doesn't look like they do anything harmful.

At one point, Lupita Nyongo's doppelganger tells her to be careful in a very creepy way.

So what's their intentions?

What do they want from this family?

Yet again, there are plenty of theories out there, a lot of them are wild.

Like for instance maybe they're all just government experiments of some kind, symbolized

by the rabbits/bunnies we see throughout the trailer.

An experiment to see how humans can cope with their own worst selves constantly attacking

them.

Can we push that and overcome our weaknesses?

Are we brave enough to take responsibility?

Or maybe whatever we see happening is just some kind of psychotic break the mother, portrayed

by Lupita, has after her son almost disappears.

Her fear of seeing her child go missing and abused, like possibly she did when she was

a kid, made her lose her mind?

Then we have to think about whether or not these clones are even real in the first place,

which will determine their purpose in this story.

They could very well be government experiments, hence why the clone says be careful and the

weird psychiatric ward we see.

This is could all go in the same realm as Get Out possibly.

Maybe there's a private company making clones of black families for upper class people so

they can appear not racist and appeal to millenials.

The normal family we see in the beginning were a successful experiment, hence why they

were hanging out with white people, while the other crazy family who went awry are trying

to warn them of what's happening.

It'd be in the same vein as Get Out, and would make more sense if the two movies take

place in the same universe and are connected somehow.

But either way, we could all be wrong and Us could be about something else entirely.

Let me know what you thought of the trailer and your fan theories, and merry Christmas.

N. Korea, U.S. agree on need for second summit and are planning next high-level talks: Kang - Duration: 1:58.

now despite the seemingly slow progress between Pyongyang and Washington in

regards to denuclearization South Korean Foreign Minister Kang jung-ho says that

nuclear negotiations between the two countries are still ongoing she said the

two sides are discussing dates for high-level talks oricon Yong woo has

more South Korean Foreign Minister Kanagawa says that North Korea and the

u.s. remain fully committed to dialogue and that the two sides are continuing

their denuclearization talks in an interview with local news outlet han

gauri Kang said Pyongyang and Washington are discussing possible dates for their

next high-level talks she emphasized the need for the meeting to include

guarantees for the two sides and define what those guarantees should be one

crucial issue is what guarantees the US will offer when North Korea shuts down

its Yongbyon nuclear complex which would be a big concession from the regime the

two countries also feel the need for a second summit between North Korean

leader Kim jong-un and US president Donald Trump but according to Kong

there's great uncertainty on whether it will take place in January or February

next year as hoped and last week the US Special Representative to North Korea

Stephen vegan made some conciliatory gestures to the north during his visit

to Seoul he said the US will review allowing its citizens to visit the north

for humanitarian purposes and consider sending humanitarian aid worth 8 million

u.s. dollars to a country Kang said it will be a big step forward if the regime

responds to those gestures which is why attention now turns to Kim jong-un's New

Year's address as for the sanctions on the north kang said Seoul and Washington

will need to coordinate closely on the appropriate time to lift the sanctions

of course it will depend on how much progress is made on the irreversible

denuclearization of North Korea there will also need to be similar discussions

at the UN Security Council conn-young Arirang news
