Crying Pit Bull Goes Viral – But The Look On Her Face When She's Adopted Takes Internet By Storm - Duration: 4:04.
Crying Pit Bull Goes Viral But The Look On Her Face When Shes Adopted Takes Internet
By Storm A video of this pit bull crying in a
shelter went viral and helped her find her forever home.
Sarah Sleime regularly volunteers with the Greater Charlotte SPCA, and she was visiting
a shelter in North Carolina that Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control runs when
she came across this dog.
Talking to the Dodo, Sleime explained her reaction to this sweet, sad pit bull:
I was waiting for them to health check a couple of the dogs we were considering pulling, and
I was walking up and down the kennels, and I just saw this pit bull sitting there, and
she was very humanlike slumped over and very solemn.
Sleime felt the need to get closer, so she:
Bent over and started talking to her. When she got a closer look, Sleime realized
that this pit bull recently had puppies.
The pit bull was seven years old, and her puppies werent with her at the moment.
According to Sleime, as she talked, the poochs eyes watered and it looked like they filled
with tears.
Although experts still arent sure whether dogs cry emotional tears like humans, Sleime
could tell without a doubt that this pit bull was upset.
She had been recently surrendered and was also extremely overweight.
Sleime told the Dodo that the workers at the shelter:Believe she was confined and used
as a breeding machine.
Shes obviously had many, many litters. Because this pit bull was a big dog, however,
Sleime knew that the Greater Charlotte SPCA wouldnt be able to help her.
Instead, Sleime grabbed her phone and made a video that she then posted on Facebook.
It is only 37 seconds long, but clearly shows the sadness of the dog, who was called Cinnamon
at the time.
You can even see the tears forming in her eyes.
Sleime also included a heartfelt caption, that included:
Someone dumped this poor mama at the shelter, minus her babies.
Every time I stopped to talk to her and say I was sorry her eyes would fill with tears.
The video was much more effective than Sleime could have ever imagined.
Little did I know, it would be viewed like 700,000 times on the first day.
In addition to hundreds of thousands of views, Sleimes video of the pit bull led to messages
from those around the world who wanted to adopt Cinnamon or help in another way.
Out of all those interested, Meghan Shelton, a friend of Sleime, ended up adopting the
pooch.
Shelton also spoke with the Dodo:
I have a special place in my heart for pit bulls.
I think theyre a very misunderstood dog and misunderstood breed.
And when I saw her in that video, literally crying in a cage, I cried.
My kids cried.
I showed my husband, and he said we would go look at her tomorrow. The following day,
Shelton and her family werent the only ones lined up to meet Cinnamon, but they were
first.
Everyone, human and dog, fell in love right away.
She was super sweet.
They had brought her into a room to meet with us, and we just let her relax.
My kids were on the floor with her, and she sat on their laps and knocked them over with
kisses. At that point, Shelton knew Cinnamon had a
new home.
They filled out all the paperwork, renaming the pit bull Rosie.
After the pooch was spayed, she went home the following day.
She got a new brother, as well, a three-year-old pit bull male named Blu.Shelton initially
planned to keep the two separate to see how they would react to each other, but Rosie
whined until she could socialize.
She explained:
We just had them walk outside and meet.
[] They just kind of sat next to each other with tails wagging.

Looking Back, But More Importantly, Looking Forward - Duration: 5:24.
Welcome back to youngblossom, my name is Jonah.
Time to make another video, yay!
Finishing up my coffee right now, and I decided it's a good time to make a video, so I'm going
to.
I had yesterday off, and I also have today off from work, which is like super refreshing
because I worked basically the past eight days, which I'm so used to working a lot of
days in a row it's not that big of a deal.
But five of those days were very, very busy because we had the day before Thanksgiving,
we had Thanksgiving, we had Black Friday, and then we had uh the weekend, so Saturday
and Sunday, so that's five very busy days in retail, uh so it's it's complicated and
I'm just really glad that I was finally able to get some time off and it's really nice
to just refresh.
Yesterday, my roommate and I went to Lush, and I treated myself to a face mask.
And then we ended up going across the street to treat ourselves further because there was
an acai bowl place, and I ended up getting this really really awesome acai bowl.
So there was acai, strawberries, bananas, um peanut butter, almond milk, granola, dark
chocolate, I think that was everything.
And it changed my world honestly.
So we did that yesterday, and that was really really nice.
And today I've just been doing housework, which is also just really nice, and uh it's
really nice outside.
Surprisingly.
It's almost December.
Today is November 30th, and tomorrow starts December, which is just wild to me that this
year is almost over.
This year has been such a wild ride for me from start to finish, so it's really weird
to think about this year coming to a close.
Actually on my Timehop this morning, I checked it, and it said that one year ago today I
scheduled my top surgery, and that's really weird to think about.
Because I just remember being so stressed out and so anxious waiting to schedule my
surgery date, and I just kept having complications, and it took over a month for me to finally
get in contact with the scheduler because she was very unavailable all the time, and
I just remember the relief that I felt when I finally scheduled my surgery.
And I just knew that there were better days ahead at that point, and I could not have
been more correct in that because ever since then, things have only gotten better for me.
And it seems like today must be really important because one month ago today actually is when
I moved to Madison and things have been going so so so so well with living here.
So one year ago, I scheduled my top surgery.
One month ago I moved to Madison.
One week from today, I'm actually flying to Florida to go see Dakota, which if you follow
me on any other social media, you would know all about Dakota because I talk about him
basically 24/7, but I'm flying to go see Dakota.
We haven't seen each other since like April, so I'm flying to Florida, and we get to spend
four full days together, plus two partial days, so it's going to be so so so nice because
we just haven't had that time to spend together, and I'm just really excited to travel and
like go to Florida and it's going to be yknow, just such a low-pressure thing, and I'm just
really excited for that to happen.
I mean I'm really really digging my job, and I'm really happy with my job, but it is nice
to know that I'll be able to get a break from it.
I'll be able to come back with a fresh perspective and just you know, ready to work again.
And shortly after I get back, it'll be time for the holidays.
I'll get to see my family and my friends back home, and I just I think that will be really
really healthy for me to have these things going on this month.
And as one last update and also as just kind of like a call for help if anybody out there
has dealt with this personally, I am thinking about talking to my doctor about lowering
my testosterone dose.
Uh I've been on hormones for a little over a year and a half now, and I've been on the
same dose the entire time which is .75mL every two weeks, which is a standard dose according
to the like WPATH guidelines and you can kind of adjust it to your needs.
I had really severe acne last year, and then I finally got it to clear up after being on
some like acne treatments and like making a plan with my doctor, but then after my skin
was finally clear, I was making like super great progress.
I was really really happy with my skin condition, um and then I went off of antibiotics which
I was on for my skin, and like two months after going off, my skin started breaking
out again really badly.
I don't want to have to be reliant on antibiotics to have clear skin.
I thought by this point that my hormones would've balanced out, that by the time that I finished
my antibiotics before that my skin wouldn't just bounce back to being in really bad condition
because my hormones would've been balanced, um but that's not the case.
My skin is still breaking out pretty badly, so temporarily I'm back on antibiotics, but
I don't want to rely on them for the rest of like my life or until my body decides it's
adjusted entirely to the hormones.
Um so I'm thinking about lowering my dose, but I'm kind of hesitant about doing that.
I don't want to end up with a monthly cycle again, which it just it makes me dysphoric
even thinking about it and talking about it, so I want to just call out to anybody who
may have experienced bad acne while on testosterone and then lowering their dose.
Did it help you?
Like did you experience any like unwanted side effects from like lowering your dose?
I'm going to talk to my doctor about it, but it's still be like another month before I
see her, so I have a little bit of time to think about it beforehand.
That's basically all that's happening in my life right now.
I hope you are all doing very well, and I will see you in my next video.
Take care of yourselves.
Peace and love.

Liberal Media Claims Flynn Is Going To Destroy Trump, But They Got Caught In 2 Big Lies - Duration: 4:14.
The left has been having a field day since news broke of Michael Flynn's intention
to plead guilty to charges that stemmed from the investigation into "Russian collusion."
Unfortunately for those praising the reports that he is going to point fingers at President
Donald Trump and take him down, they may want to hold off on their celebrations because
there are at least two important details that the liberal media got dead wrong, and everyone
needs to know.
Seeking to do anything they could to delegitimize Trump's presidency, the liberal media has
been beating the Russian collusion drum to death for well over a year after Donald Trump
won the 2016 Presidential Election.
Now, as Robert Mueller's special investigation team has announced charges against former
National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, the liberal media has already begun to celebrate
– but things aren't as they seem.
Before long, reports were circulating saying that Flynn "feels he has been abandoned
by President Trump" and was ready to point fingers.
Specifically, a Mediate article states that Flynn was set to "testify Trump 'directed
him' to contact Russia" and alluded that this would take Trump down.
Too bad for the liberals who are already celebrating, they may want to hold off on the confetti
and champagne as there's just one thing the entire country needs to know – it's
all "fake news."
Yet again, we're seeing fake news at its finest as the left desperately grabs at whatever
straws they can in order to attack Trump.
Although they think that they have the high ground, they certainly don't.
Flynn isn't in trouble for talking to the Russians because what he did was not criminal.
However, it's the fact that he lied about it that's resulted in official charges and,
soon enough, a guilty plea.
Furthermore, the leftist hack Brian Ross over at ABC claims that the network was told by
a Flynn "confidant" that the former National Security Advisor will testify against Trump.
Of course, we've seen enough times by now that these so-called "confidants" or "anonymous
sources" are just a cover for the networks to spread unsubstantiated and flagrantly false
reports – or, fake news, if you will.
As if that wasn't enough, it seems that the liberal media was completely wrong in
their reporting as Trump isn't directly involved in the slightest.
According to The Daily Caller, "Additional reporting by Fox News indicates that Flynn
was directed to contact Russians by a senior member of the transition team, not by Trump
when he was a candidate, as ABC News initially reported."
Just like that, the world was turned upside down on its head because of the fake news.
Social media ignited, the stock markets tanked, and the world was good for the left, but they're
wrong.
However, yet again, they've fallen for and propagated nothing more than fake news – the
same thing that got them into trouble and essentially lost them the election in the
first place.
Of course, the punishment for the neglect and willful ignorance is just coming out as
Trump's attorney, Ty Cobb, just bashed liberal morons everywhere over the head.
Setting the record straight, he released a scathing statement.
"The false statements involved mirror the false statements to White House officials
which resulted in his resignation in February of this year," Trump attorney Ty Cobb said,
speaking of the Flynn developments.
"Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn,"
Cobb added in his prepared statement.
"The conclusion of this phase of the Special Counsel's work demonstrates again that the
Special Counsel is moving with all deliberate speed and clears the way for a prompt and
reasonable conclusion," Cobb continued, according to CNBC.
The left is really digging a hole for themselves.
Still, they don't realize that their own dishonesty turned the American people against
them.
Rather than acknowledge what they did wrong, they instead have chosen to deny and continue
in the same fashion, twisting facts in an attempt to suit their narrative.
Yet again, they have jumped the gun and chosen to spread fake news because they thought they
could benefit from it rather than do their research and responsibly put out the truth.
The liberal media is fake news – and at this point, they've lost all credibility.
So, it's up to us to spread the truth.

Manchester United want to sign Alexis Sanchez but accept he is likely to join Manchester City - Duration: 1:55.
Manchester United want to sign Alexis Sanchez but accept he is likely to join Manchester City
The Chile international's current contract with Arsene Wenger's side expires at the end of the season and he will be available as a free agent if he fails to agree a new deal.
The Daily Telegraph report that United remain interested in Sanchez but are facing a losing battle with Manchester City.
The report claims that while United are keen on the 28-year-old, the club accept that the forward is intent on joining up with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
City attempted to land Sanchez in the closing stages of the summer transfer window but their £60 million move was scuppered when Arsenal were unable to sign a replacement in time.
Sanchez worked with Guardiola at Barcelona and reports in October claimed that he has already decided to join City.
Manchester United are also keen on Sanchez's Arsenal teammate, Mesut Ozil, who is also available on a free transfer next summer.
When asked about United's interest in Ozil on Friday, Mourinho smirked and replied: 'No comment.
Wenger, meanwhile, has admitted that Arsenal are open to offers for Sanchez in January, although earlier this week, the Frenchman backtracked and claimed that the Chilean, along with Ozil, will be staying until the end of the season.

Couple Has Twins But Gets Pregnant Again – Dad Nearly Has Heart Attack After Seeing Sonogram - Duration: 2:59.
Couple Has Twins But Gets Pregnant Again Dad Nearly Has Heart Attack After Seeing Sonogram
The Tolbert Triplet Reveal, a video posted to Facebook by WUSA 9 has recently
gone viral. It features Robert and Nia Tolbert discovering the sex of their triplets and
while thats exciting enough on its own, the couples back-story makes it particularly
incredible.
Robert and Nia met while visiting their friends at work. The pair quickly fell in love and
ended up getting pregnant with their first son Shai.In 2014, when Shai was 3 years old,
Nia and Robert were married. It wasnt long after that they would discover they were pregnant
with twin boys, Riley and Alexander.
We joked about having a big family, but we never thought it would happen to us,
thirty-one-year-old Robert told WUSA 9. We thought we were good with one or two, but
here we are.Where is here exactly? Well, now only 2 years after the twins, the
couple is once again pregnant. This time though, its with triplets.
Nia discovered the news right before heading off for a trip to Tampa, Florida. She said
she immediately knew there was more than one baby when the sonogram tech started asking
if multiples ran in her family. Yes, its twins, there are two babies, the nurse
confirmed. When Nia returned from the washroom, however, the nurse found herself corrected:
Theres three. Baby A. Baby B. Baby C
Needless to say, Robert was also shocked. Oh I passed out, he told WUSU 9, laughing.
I hit the bed. I blinked twice; when I woke up I saw that some time had elapsed on
the clock. According to Dr. Rami Tabbarah (via WUSA 9),
an OBGYN at Inova Womens Hospital, having twins and then triplets is extremely rare
with natural pregnancies.
Its extremely rare. Were talking less than one in 1,000 [births]. Thats
a very low chance for it happening to anyone in general.
There are some factors that make certain women more likely to have multiple births, such
as height, heredity, ethnicity, and age. In Nias case though, its likely hyperovulation
meaning she has more than one egg ovulating at the same time.
Hyperovulation is very rare. Eight people out of 1,000 [in the United States] might
be hyperovulators and those will be the people that get twins, Tabbarah told WUSA 9.
The Tolbert triplets are due in early March, and WSU 9s video shows them discovering
the sex of their three new babies! Since being uploaded, it has been shared over 1,000 times
and people just cant enough of the exciting surprise.

'Fake News' Said Trump Couldn't Do It, But He Just Achieved The Impossible - Duration: 5:02.
Fake News Said Trump Couldnt Do It, But He Just Achieved The Impossible
President Donald Trump is reaching the end of his first year in office. Get ready for
the many articles that will try to downplay his impact. Liberals will write long rants
about what a terrible year 2017 was, but we know the facts. Trump continues to make America
great again with one victory after another. Now, a new report has come out proving that
even though fake news said he wouldnt, Trump virtually achieved the impossible.
Liberals are driven by emotion. Thats not a good way to craft politics and policy. They
will complain about Trump because hes a big meany. He says the things that people
dont like to hear (but need to hear). They will call him all sorts of names, based on
nothing but their hurt feelings (though they dont care about his feelings). They will
call 2017 One of the Worst Years for America (mark my words, they are writing those articles
now as we speak).
However, 2017 was perhaps one of the most significant years in our history. For the
good. The presidency of Donald Trump will forever alter American politics, economy,
and culture. He has restored our strength locally and internationally. All we have to
do is look at the facts.
A new report has come out that shows US unemployment dropped once again. Fewer people are looking
for help from the government. Thats because more and more people are finding work.
Tired of winning yet? I didnt think so.
Fewer people sought US unemployment benefits last week, a sign of strength in the job market.
THE NUMBERS: Weekly applications for unemployment aid slipped 2,000 to a seasonally adjusted
238,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. Thats near a four-decade low that was reached
last month. The four-week average, a less volatile measure, increased 2,250 to 242,250.
The number of people receiving aid increased 42,000 to 1.96 million, also near a four-decade
low.
KEY DRIVERS: The data comes after other evidence that the economic recovery from the Great
Recession remains strong in its eighth year. The unemployment rate has fallen to a 17-year
low of 4.1 percent and growth reached 3.3 percent at an annual rate in the July-September
quarter, the fastest in three years. [Source: Breitbart]
Whats really significant about the numbers we are seeing is that the economy grew, despite
serious natural disasters. The United States was hit by three major hurricanes this fall.
Yet, they didnt seem to make a huge impact in the pace of our economy. Its almost
as if we cant stop, and Trump is achieving the impossible.
Hiring has been steady, despite interruptions from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Employers
added 261,000 jobs in October, a healthy gain after hiring fell in September because of
the storms. [Source: Breitbart] One major hurricane is enough to make a country
stumble. The fallout from damaged homes and businesses, coupled with insurance loses,
can have long-term impacts. Yet after Harvey, Irma, and Maria, America continues to chug
along.
THE TAKEAWAY: Applications are a proxy for layoffs. Any figure below 300,000 indicates
that hiring is likely healthy, and employers are confident enough in future demand to keep
their workers.
With unemployment so low, many companies say they are struggling to find qualified workers
to fill jobs. With so few workers available, companies are even less likely to lay off
employees. [Source: Breitbart] We all should have listened to Mike Rowe.
Companies are looking for people to hire. They cant give jobs away! When was the
last time you heard that, ever!?
The left will point to tweets as an indicator that Trump is a failure. Because he said something
that ruffled their feathers, that makes him an enemy. But, facts dont lie. Numbers
dont lie. Trump and his massive influence on our economy is making a difference. The
stock market is surging. Consumer confidence is high. Companies are bringing jobs back
to the country. And, unemployment is down.
Those are factors that America is becoming great again. Just imagine how bad it would
be right now, had that other person won. I shudder to think! Be sure to share these amazing
facts with your friends. The age of emotion has come to an end! Lets stick to the truth.

We're Hardwired to Be Jealous, But Why? - Duration: 2:44.
Remember that time an astronaut diapered herself and drove across the country to attack a rival?
If you don't, you should look that up, because that's a thing that happened.
But look it up after this video.
Jealousy is a complex emotion that crops up when we feel threatened, often bringing with
it feelings of fear, insecurity, anger, and even violence, and a new study done with primates
is shedding some light on how it affects our brains.
Jealousy is a weird emotion.
I mean, why would we have this irresistible urge that makes us lurk on Becky's instagram
to see if she's hanging out with Chad?
What good does that do us?
One idea is our fear of rejection forces us to develop strong relationships we fight to
protect.
Some researchers even think that jealousy might have manifested as a fitness advantage
as humans evolved.
Jealous people boxed out competitors, secured a mate, and passed on their jealous trait.
But jealousy is a hard emotion to study, at least in people.
Researchers know that animals are easier to control in a lab, but people aren't always
truthful when they give their answers.
That's why a team of researchers based their new study on coppery titi monkeys.
This is a monogamous primate species that forms strong bonds with their partner as well
as mate-guarding that's similar to romantic behaviour in humans.
Basically they jelly.
To see what jealousy does to their brain, the researchers introduced what they called
"jealousy conditions."
They put males in view of their female partner and introduced her to another male.
As a control the same male money was made to watch a pair of unknown monkeys interact.
In both cases, the male was filmed during the viewing and given a brain scan after watching
the others for half an hour.
In the lab as in the wild, titi monkeys were visibly agitated when confronted with a rival
for their mate -- they arch their back, lash their tails, and put their hands on their
female to keep them in place.
The brain scans showed hormonal changes associated with this behaviour.
Heightened activity in the cingulate cortex, which is associated with social pain, as well as
elevated levels of testosterone and cortisol, indicating stress.
This study is, admittedly, limited since it only looked at male monkeys, but it still
adds to growing research that says monogamy comes down to our brain chemistry, at least
in part.
It seems we're hard wired to be jealous, but just try and resist the urge to drive
across the country and pepperspray the new girlfriend of your two-timing boyfriend husband.
I told you to look that story up.

Although they think that they have the high ground, they certainly dont.
Flynn isnt in trouble for talking to the Russians because what he did was not criminal.
However, its the fact that he lied about it thats resulted in official charges and,
soon enough, a guilty plea.
Furthermore, the leftist hack Brian Ross over at ABC claims that the network was told by
a Flynn confidant that the former National Security Advisor will testify against Trump.
Of course, weve seen enough times by now that these so-called confidants or anonymous
sources are just a cover for the networks to spread unsubstantiated and flagrantly false
reports or, fake news, if you will.
As if that wasnt enough, it seems that the liberal media was completely wrong in
their reporting as Trump isnt directly involved in the slightest.
According to The Daily Caller, Additional reporting by Fox News indicates that Flynn
was directed to contact Russians by a senior member of the transition team, not by Trump
when he was a candidate, as ABC News initially reported.
Just like that, the world was turned upside down on its head because of the fake news.
Social media ignited, the stock markets tanked, and the world was good for the left, but theyre
wrong.
However, yet again, theyve fallen for and propagated nothing more than fake news the
same thing that got them into trouble and essentially lost them the election in the
first place.
Of course, the punishment for the neglect and willful ignorance is just coming out as
Trumps attorney, Ty Cobb, just bashed liberal morons everywhere over the head.
Setting the record straight, he released a scathing statement.
The false statements involved mirror the false statements to White House officials
which resulted in his resignation in February of this year, Trump attorney Ty Cobb said,
speaking of the Flynn developments.
Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn,
Cobb added in his prepared statement.
The conclusion of this phase of the Special Counsels work demonstrates again that the
Special Counsel is moving with all deliberate speed and clears the way for a prompt and
reasonable conclusion, Cobb continued, according to CNBC.
The left is really digging a hole for themselves.
Still, they dont realize that their own dishonesty turned the American people against
The liberal media is fake news and at this point, theyve lost all credibility.
So, its up to us to spread the truth.

North Korea ready to negotiate with Trump on nuke crisis – but only if Putin is invited - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 2:29.
North Korea 'ready to negotiate with Trump on nuke crisis' – but only if Putin is invited
NORTH Korea is prepared to negotiate an end
to the nuclear weapons crisis as long as Russia sits in, officials have said.
Vitaly Pashin, a top member of Vladimir Putin's regime, made the game-changing claim following
a visit to the hermit kingdom.
He said: "North Korea is currently ready to conduct negotiations with the US with the
participation of Russia as a third party."
But Pyongyang's latest ICBM infuriated US supremo Donald Trump who may push for military
action over entering diplomatic talks.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson previously rubbished suggestions his team would meet
with Kim Jong-un while the rogue nation continues to fire ballistic missiles.
He added any talks would have to end with the North surrendering its stash of nukes
– something Pyongyang has so far refused to consider.
The US' tough stance on the North has angered Putin who blasted Washington for pushing the
world closer to war.
Moscow has long wanted a peaceful end to the crisis and even dismissed Trump's call to
cut all ties with Pyongyang.
His foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said: "We see this negatively.
We have repeatedly stated that the pressure of sanctions has been exhausted.
"It's as if the recent actions of the US are consciously directed to provoke Pyongyang
towards other radical actions.
He added: "The impression is that everything has been done to prompt Kim Jong-un to lost
it and take another reckless step.
It's sad."
Russia has long traded with North Kore and even pure millions into the country when Moscow
was under communist rule.

Binge-watching can't be good for you -- but is it really that bad? - Duration: 3:17.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Binging, until recently, was a word usually associated with the meals we
enjoy during the holidays.
Not in this golden age of television.
New TV series debut almost every week, and, among avid viewers, there's a feeling that
you can't keep up.
Tonight, actress Annabelle Gurwitch offers her Humble Opinion on what may be a new addiction.
ANNABELLE GURWITCH, Actress: It was 6:00 p.m. when I sat down to watch an episode of the
series based on Stephen King's "The Mist."
Before I knew it, I was glued to my computer while I cooked, ate dinner, brushed my teeth,
took a bath.
And it was 4:00 a.m. when I finally dragged myself to bed.
After 10 consecutive episodes, I still didn't know where the mist came from, where the mist
was going, or if mist is condensation or precipitation.
I had gotten sucked into the binge-watching black hole, where time and space spaghettify
and lose all meaning.
This can't be good for me, I thought.
But, last week, I lost the same amount of time reading Virginia Woolf, so is that any
different?
It's a good question to ask ourselves, as binge-watching has become the new normal.
See, our brains love anticipation, and producers reel you in with cliffhangers.
But the excitement doesn't last, and we need more stimulation, like hamsters on a wheel.
So, when new episodes load seamlessly, you end up watching more than you intended.
And, not surprisingly, binge-watching has been linked to poor sleep quality, fatigue,
and people report feeling more anxious and depressed afterwards.
Now, that could be a chicken-or-egg question, but being engrossed in a great novel has been
shown to spark neural connectivity, which lengthens attention span, increases vocabulary,
and even has the potential to raise our I.Q.s., although it could be argued that because binge-watching
is so popular, that it increases your social I.Q.
Fans even track their binge-watches on the Internet.
On one site, when last I checked, 902 people claimed to have spent 12 days, 21 hours, and
30 minutes watching all the episodes of "The Simpsons."
So, to binge or not to binge, that is the question, which is why I'm asking myself,
what would Mrs. Dalloway do?
I highly doubt that Clarissa Dalloway could have gotten all those flowers herself if she'd
been hypnotized by, say, "Orange Is the New Black."
But if you should hear that I have gone missing, you will know I got sucked into binging the
seven seasons I have missed of "Game of Thrones," and winter has finally come to my house.

Rachel Riley cosies up to David Beckham at charity bash – but Pasha Kovalev isn't far away
Rachel Riley got to hang out at with football legend David Beckham at the Grassroots Soccer Annual Charity Gala, but boyfriend Pasha Kovalev wasnt far away.
The mathematician, who looked utterly stunning in her daring silver gown (and gave everyone office Christmas party goals), was seen with Beckham as they posed on the red carpet.
In fact, she seemed to be having a whale of a time, as she seemed to laugh her way through the snaps. Perhaps he let out a dad joke or two.
She even joked in an Instagram post, Well this should be a fun night as she posed next to the 42-year-old.
But while she was living it up with Becks, boyfriend Pasha was waiting in the wings, and seemed very proud of his lady as she dazzled in her gown. The evening raised over £600,000.
The couple started dating in 2013 after she appeared as his dance partner on Strictly Come Dancing. Shed been married at the time of doing the show, but left her husband shortly after she exited Strictly.
Speaking of her new relationship with Pasha, she told the Daily Express: I am in love now. I don't feel I have to get married.
I don't think I need that pressure any more. I don't worry about getting married or whether he is taking a long time in the morning or whether he has done the dishes.
That does not really bother me in the long term.
