Frantic Labrador Begs Cop To Follow Him…Seconds Later, Both Are Instant Heroes!

For Officer Jeff Gonzalez, it was just like any other day on the job.

He was patrolling through Germantown, Wisconsin, a mostly peaceful place, where crime isn't

necessarily a big problem.

But just when Gonzalez was starting to get a big bored, something odd caught his attention

along County Line Road…

Nothing "explosive" or dangerous, per se…just something odd.

Whatever it was, it was strange enough to make Gonzalez perk up and take a closer look.

And what did he find?

A lone black dog alongside the road, barking and darting about frantically, as if he was

trying to tell the police officer something.

In fact, he was trying to get anybody's attention!

But there wasn't anyone around to listen and Officer Gonzalez figured the dog needed

urgent assistance, so the cop pulled over and stepped out of his cruiser.

That's when the dog, whose name was John Boy, increased his antics and started bouncing

away from the officer, as if to say, "Follow me, follow me!"

And so, the increasingly curious officer did exactly that: He followed the agitated pooch

up to the front porch of a house.

And that's when the policeman realized that John Boy was a real-life Lassie…and he was

facing a real emergency!

John Boy's owner was sitting in a chair, slumped over and unresponsive.

Gonzalez believes the woman had been in the chair for almost an hour with temperatures

hovering about 3 degrees.

"To be honest with you, I thought she was dead," Gonzalez told a local TV station.

"And when I went up, she was very cold to the touch; her lips were blue.

But I was able to determine she was breathing and had a pulse.

I called for assistance, and my partner was close.

So together we got her in the house."

Sitting idle for an extended time in such cold temperatures can kill a person, so this

woman was VERY fortunate she was found!

Doctors at the emergency room discovered the woman had a heart condition, but said she

would be fine after the close call.

Her daughter, Tianne Wendt, burst into tears after finding out what happened.

"It was a miracle," said Tianne.

"My mom had two angels save her that day."

One of those angels is John Boy; the Labrador Retriever is in fact a rescue dog!

Surprisingly, John Boy had struggled to find a proper home.

Three other people owned him and didn't stick before he found his forever home.

Oh, he found it all right, and he repaid the favor!

As for officer Gonzalez, he is appropriately being heralded as a hero for his efforts to

save the woman.

However, he quickly brushes off such praise and says John Boy deserves the credit for

his determination and loyalty.

The angels sent to save the day here prove regular people, and loving and faithful pets,

can be a blessing to those in need!

[English captions] FOLLOW ME TO HARAJUKU SQUISHY DECORATION EVENT - Duration: 6:10.

Hi guys, this is Mini!

Today, I went to a squishy decoration event at Harajuku!

The instructors were really kind

And I also got souvenirs!

Here's what is was like!

Hey Mini! *Something's on my hair...*

Hi Mini, this is Mini!

This is how I'll get to decorate my squishies!

First, I choose my decorations

And put them in this cup

First, this ice cream...

Can't forget the strawberry!

I also want the maracon

There's so many, hard to decide!

Also this "M," for Mini

Good enough?

Let's move to the work table!

OK, I'm at my seat now

These are the decorations I chose!

This cute ice cream...

I also found this mini Pocky!

*I ended up not using it lol*

I also thought this donut was interesting

*Also didn't use lol*

I'll be first deocating this donut squishy!

I had no idea how I was going to decorate it

I was a little nervous with so many people around me

First the strawberry sauce... Oops!

That was close...

I'm first going to spread the strawberry sauce on the donut

About this much?

I'm going to add a wee bit more on the edge

Using the sauce to also stick on the strawberries

Tada! Next one is the chocolate sauce!

Dabbing a little on some tissue paper...

And painting with a toothpick

About these strawberries

I'm using them as ears, so I'm going to draw a cat with the chocolate!

With the same chocolate,

Let's also decorate the strawberry sauce!

Adding some sprinkles...

And with that, I'm finished with the kitty donut squishy!

This is the next one!

I'll be deocrating this roll cake squishy!

I really didn't want to do this, but let's open it!

Can't decorate without opening it!

Let's see how it's like before we decorate it

Slow-rise!

First, the chocolate sauce

Let's spread it all around

Quickly fixing it up my mistakes

Next, whipped cream!

It's spreading

Now I'm placing the deocations randomly

How does it look?

Add some sprinkles...

And it's done!

OK, it's all dry after one day, so let's take a look!

First one!

Japan Squishy Association...

They put the squishy in such a cute box!

But...

It got smeared a little

I did take extra caution when carry it back

Oh well!

So this is how it turned out!

I really like the part with the strawberry sauce

It hasn't cracked at all

I made it into a kitty, what do you think?

It's unfortunate the sauce got smeared

But I still think it turned out cute!

Next, the roll cake!

The chocolate...

Got smeared...

Maybe I can fix it?

Seems like I can!

Looks like... I can fix it!

If I rub it very gently...

I can peel off the chocolate

Since it's a really cute roll cake

I made the decorations very simple

This squishy feels extra special since I personally decorated it!

I also got this as a souvenir!

Japan Squishy Center exclusive,

Harajuku chocolate apple squishy!

Whoa!

I noticed this amazing scent once I opened it!

It smells like sweet apple!

Soft-rising and feels great!

This is such a great souvenir

I'm so glad I went! It was so much fun!

There's still a lot of events upcoming

So definitely visit if you're interested!

Thanks for watching!

I'll see you in my next video!

Bye-bye!

#10 Follow up with Visitors - 101 Ways to Attract More Visitors - Duration: 2:53.

Hey Digital Communicators, I'm John Falke

from Johnny Flash Productions and Amplified Impact,

and this is 101 Ways to Attract More Visitors,

a practical guide for churches to amplify their impact

and reach their communities.

Now let's amp it up.

Number 10, follow-up with visitors.

Now there are two ways to add more visitors, right?

You can either have more first time visitors

or you can have repeat visitors.

And the way that you have repeat visitors

is that you follow up with them in multiple ways, right?

First, you have to have a great experience.

They've got to love coming, all the things

that we've been talking about, you know,

in the last few ways, then you've got to follow up with them

because life happens.

People are busy, they may have things going on,

their first thought may not be to just come back to church,

but when you follow up with them, show them that you care

about them, that you're excited, that they came,

that you're excited for them to come back,

that makes it so much easier for them to try coming again.

So look at your follow-up process.

Do you do anything right after the service to follow up

with them, to see how they like it, to answer any questions

they have, connect with them, and meet them?

That's a great opportunity right after the service.

If you have some way to kind of meet them

and talk with them face to face.

But then once they leave, are you going to

give them a phone call?

Are you going to send them an email?

Are you going to send them a letter?

Are you going to send them a gift in the mail?

I'll never forget one time we visited a church

and we had gotten back from lunch

and literally like probably like an hour, hour and a half

after I had been to the church, someone showed up

at our door with fresh baked cookies from the church

and just said, "Hey, we're from this church and we know

"it was your first time visiting this morning

"and we're so excited that you came.

"We saw you were in the area and we were just passing by

"and just wanted to drop off some fresh baked cookies."

And I was blown away.

I was like, "Wow, that is incredible

"and we're so appreciative."

And the cookies were really yummy

and it just left an impression.

And then when you get that pastor's email

or the letter in the mail and stuff,

you're a lot more receptive to it because we've just had

such a good experience and the follow-up is really warm.

So figure out what your follow-up is going to be

for your first time visitor.

Your second time visitor, you know, how are you going

to appreciate them?

How are you going to thank them for coming

and let them know that you care about them

and that there's a god who loves them and so look at

your follow-up process and tweak that

and make it really, really good.

In the next video, I'm going show you how to use

sermon series to attract more visitors.

Until then, amp it up.
