Best 11 YouTube Videos of 2017 - Duration: 4:49.

Oh hi! I get it. 2017 was awful. Every male actor is apparently a terrible person,

and people who don't understand the internet want to ruin it. Plus I think

that President Trump did a few things. I don't know. I was too mad at a video game

company to notice. When it comes to YouTube even worse things happened.

Demonetization everywhere, Patreon screwed up, and you can't even trust kids

channels. I was gonna name this video "Pregnant Elsa Spider-Man vs. Venom

Rhyming Storytime Fun Hour. But so many other videos are called that. I try hard

to funnel my energy into positivity as much as I can. So each year I make a list

of the best videos uploaded to this website. These range from viral videos, to

small channels, and everything in between. However, as with any list, these are

completely subjective. I cannot possibly watch every single video that's uploaded

to this website, and people's tastes are drastically different. So this is my

corner of YouTube. And hopefully you can share what your favorite videos were

down in the comments below. I have created a playlist you can watch these

videos by clicking here, or possibly here. I'm a little bit turned around here. Right

now you'll see this video again but then the list will just autoplay for you. I've

also made two unlisted, and unmonetized, videos that are a part of this playlist

where I get to speak to some creators who appear on this list. So please, it's the

holiday time, it's the new year, take an hour and a half (or maybe an hour and 40

minutes) of your time. Sit back, get a good drink ... there's probably some leftover nog.

Don't eat the old nog. Please do not drink the old nog. But you can kick

back, enjoy a playlist or two, and comment on those videos about how you found them.

It's me. It's cuz of me. I think it's a good list, and talking about the list let

me briefly go through why I chose each entry. So at number 11 it's just a video

that makes me happy. It's a real judge in a real courtroom and taking the small

claims that come through it. At number 10 the WWE – yes, the wrestling company – made

this skit about a fake wrestling promotion that existed in the 1980s. It

is super niche content, I'm sorry but I found it hilarious and I loved it. At

number 9 the Nerdwriter talks about David Fincher and how

he moves his camera in his films. I think that the best video essays make me

appreciate what they're talking about even more than I did before. And this

video made me fundamentally change how I watched David Fincher films. At number

8 – and this is where the nepotism starts – my friend Matt made a video about

how he snowboarded, skateboarded, and surfed all in the same day. He's also a

pretty good filmmaker, I guess. At number 7 I'm including the final video from

the channel 100 Days. This saw John Green and his friend attempt to get

healthier over 100 days. I recommend watching the entire series but this caps

off a brilliant YouTube channel. Number 6 Chris Taniguchi animates a story about

how he constantly gets scammed. It's funny, and charming, and oh! I talked to

Chris in one of those videos you can watch in the playlist. At number 5

it's a video about mental health and family. Kelela is just a natural and

great vlogger, and I talked to her in one of those videos in the playlist! I

swear this is the last hard sell. At number 4 is Anthony D'Angelo. And if

you're not watching Anthony's videos you are missing out. He is like the YouTube

Historian, and this video just came out only a couple weeks ago. But it

essentially looks at the history of vlogging and how it once was thought to

be creating a utopia. Total spoiler alert! It doesn't. At number 3 is this

fascinating video that talks about the religion in the Zelda videogame series.

As a huge Zelda fanboy – as well as co-hosting a podcast where I, an atheist,

talk to a really great friend who's a Christian – it is just super well done. At

number 2 is Andrew Huang who is just a brilliant musician and filmmaker, and who

I'm pretty sure has appeared on every one of these lists that I've made. Anyway

this is a video that I picked that has to do with radiators. And at number 1 is

this video that I'm sure took so long to create, but I am so glad that it exists

in this world. I became a huge fan of the Adventure Zone podcast in this past year.

It made me ugly cry in the middle of a mall and it had nothing to do with a

rude Santa this time. These fans, who are a bunch of improv actors in Austin,

essentially recreate a small section from one episode of that

podcast. And it is just brilliantly done. I want to see a full film. I'm telling

you I watched that video every time I needed a bit of cheering up, which means

I watched about 49,000 times. Listen, 2017 might have been Hell, but

there was some great stuff to be found if you knew where to look for it. Let the

playlist begin!

How to watch VR videos in everyday life | Cardboards and glasses: the future of VR?! - Duration: 4:30.

In one of my previous videos I tried to give you some tips

about watching 360 videos on a screen.

Now I show you another way, which one is even more exciting.

As a 360 content creator it's very important for me to see

how 360 and VR videos are getting a part of the everyday life.

Of course, there are expensive headsets and setups

to play VR games and watch VR videos,

but those are not really usable in everyday situations.

It's not really lifelike to bring my huge VR headsets with me

in my bag or even in my pocket,

saying "Come on, let's watch some VR!" in a pub

or in any average situation.

It doesn't work like this.

What we have in our pocket is our smartphone.

And it's not the high end quality for videos yet,

but it can bring this format closer to our everyday life.

And this is one of the most important aspects for VR to spread.

Because everything around us is about adding more and more functions to the devices

instead of getting further equipment.

So we need to find solutions to make VR more user friendly in everyday life.

And using our mobile devices is so obvious in this approach

as we all have our phones, ready to attach it to a small and portable tool.

And first, here we have cardboards.

I got this Kodak cardboard, because I started shooting with Kodak rig

more than a year ago, and got them as a gift.

It was great, but I found it very difficult bring along with me.

It's made of paper, which means it's very sensitive,

and as you can see, it's too big.

I was travelling with it all across Europe

and actually it was always risky, that it gets damaged somehow.

Then I got these cardboards from Veer.

This design is much better, as you can flip it out and close it back.

It's much easier to carry.

And it has a paper button on the top, so I can control video playback

without removing my phone from this case.

And talking about everyday use, I think this is a great choice to watch and show videos.

But sometimes I felt like a salesman who wants to sell something all the time,

because people just don't carry such things without any reason.

But I was quite satisfied with it until I got this one.

And this is the main reason why I started shooting this episode,

because I believe, this brings us more close to the reality,

how we could approach 360 and VR.

And it's not only about the product, I talk about the idea.

This tool is very small and finally it's made of plastic

so it won't be damaged in your pocket or in your bag.

And it allows you to watch VR very fast and easy with your smartphone.

You just attach the phone and that's all.

Besides portability and strength I found a very important "side-effect",

which makes this tool really great,

that watching VR is not an unsocial act, anymore.

You don't hide behind the headset or cardboard.

Even if you have company, you won't be shut out of the conversation...

You can watch 360 videos, but you're still there.

And there's another important thing,

that there are people who are getting sick watching VR in headsets...

So it's much more comfortable for them too.

Of course, this guy has its own disadvantages,

for example it's not so easy to find the best smartphone placement.

It seems but it's not,

because the phones can move out of the place very easily.

It causes a kind of strange ghost effect.

This can be a small problem when people are showing videos each other from hand to hand,

and everyone must be sure that the phone is in the right place.

But after all, as I told you in the beginning it's all about something bigger.

I think that cardboards and these things can bring 360 and VR into our everyday life,

our social life or on the streets.

Hopefully smartphone screens will be better and better quality,

so maybe this approach could bring some break-through in the VR world to spread.

Ohh, and just before I forget it, I'd like to ask you a question, guys.

What do you think about my t-shirt?

This is my own t-shirt with my own artwork.

Hopefully I will have a big photo exhibition in the upcoming months here in Hungary,

and this photo is one from that collection.

Besides, I have a plan to launch a small webshop

with posters and of course some t-shirts like this.

So what do you think about the idea?

Please leave me a comment, and of course, if you have your own idea about the main topic,

bringing VR into our everyday life,

don't hesitate commenting about that, too.

What do you think about the limits, the problems in 360 and VR world,

and how would you solve them?

And, if you liked this video, please thumbs up and subscribe to my YouTube channel,

and if you are interested about little planet photography,

feel free to follow me on Instagram too.

See you soon, guys.

How To Make Video | Create AMAZING Videos With These Strategies - Duration: 18:11.

hey hey what's going on Aaron Chen here hope you're doing well if you're

watching my video right now then you're probably doing some research online

about some sort of video marketing strategy okay so you want to use video

to do marketing you don't know how to do it so you're here online you're trying

to do that search so I'm gonna talk about that over the next few minutes

because video has been one of the main things that has allowed me to take my

business from you know not but not in profit to very very profitable okay so

over the next few minutes I'm going to talk about my strategy you're gonna get

that stuff as well so I hope you enjoyed this video for those of you who don't

know me my name is Aaron Chen I've been online for nine years on building

businesses online actually failed for a big part of it eight years I didn't

really know what I was doing marketed lots of different things lots

of different business models made lots of mistakes but finally was able to

figure it out probably about a year year and a half ago now finally generated you

know hundreds of sales in my business last year so I want to teach you how I

did that and and one of the main ways that I did that was through video okay

so if you're not using video the first thing I would say is why why are you not how to make video

using video you have to use video ok video is not the marketing of the past

it's not the marketing of the future it is the marketing of today and it's gonna

stay for a very very long time okay and there are lots of you know there are

lots of very very practical reasons why video is so powerful and why a lot of

you know very big market is using and why it's so effective but the main

reasons I would tell you is just number one people get to see you face to face

write the whole thing about doing internet marketing whether you're doing

you know MLM affiliate marketing digital marketing it doesn't really

matter okay the fact that you know you're hiding behind a computer it makes

it very difficult for people to trust you right so number one if you had do

video people gonna see your face they're gonna get to know you they're gonna get

to know like and trust you and Trust is the biggest reason why people buy stuff

online okay so the the easiest way to get people to to know like and trust you

is through the medium of video okay because you get to see people's faces

you get to secure them speak you get to look into their eyes which is really

really important right and you get to get a sense of their character and then

the only way that you can do that is through video you can't do that through

email okay it's very difficult to do it through sales letters right I mean yes

it's possible to do it through sales that is an email but you have to learn

to be a master copywriter and even then they're not really getting the true

essence of you because you can hide it okay you can create different characters

by writing emails and stuff like that but it's very very difficult to fake

yourself via video okay and people buy from from real people that they know

like and trust okay so that's why you must do video alright and this is really

interesting because I started doing video when I first started marketing

nine years ago so in 2009 when I first got into this whole industry I did video

I went on YouTube and stuff like that but I had no idea what I was doing okay

absolutely none right and what I would do was you know I went I went with the

whole mentality that you know if you build it if you record it if you make it

and you upload it people are gonna find it right but that is the absolute that's

that's a fallacy okay very very important for you to understand that the

Internet is not about creating something and you know expecting people to just

find it it doesn't work that way right the Internet is kind of like a gigantic

vacuum of space alright that's what the internet is

and your websites your websites your blogs your articles your videos are like

little pieces of rocks floating in that gigantic vacuum of space that's what the

Internet is like right if you can imagine how fast the Internet is it's

basically like that okay so your content your websites all your stuff all your

your online assets are like little rocks floating in space and if you don't build

bridges you no bridges towards those towards those rocks towards your

properties then no one is ever gonna find your stuff okay so very important

to know that when you make content sorry one second guys when you meet when you

make content online whether it's an article whether you do a video or maybe

you build a website it's very very important for you to know and understand

how to get people to your stuff okay so in an in the example of YouTube right so

YouTube is a great platform in fact so what happened was when I first started I

I was on YouTube I made like hundreds of videos but I didn't realize that I

needed to get people to find my stuff and how do you get people to find your

stuff you have to learn to rank your videos okay so it's not just about

coming out with content it's about number one ranking your videos on

YouTube if that's your strategy okay or having leads and sending it to those

leads whether it's on Facebook or you know reddit or your list or others you

know other other you know social media marketing strategies okay

but as long as you're getting people to view your video that's how you get

people to consume your content right so I didn't know that nine years ago I just

did hundreds of videos and then I realized that most of my videos weren't

getting any views so and I didn't understand how to rank my videos at that

time on YouTube so I was wasting a lot of time so even though I was creating

content people weren't consuming my stuff so I wasn't getting any traction

okay so fast-forward you know seven eight years later I finally realized I

can actually actually quit that strategy for a long time I could quit that

strategy for like five or six years and then I decided to you know relook at

that strategy probably about a year year and a half ago right and then I learned

how to rank my videos and that's how I've started to get a lot of traction in

my business okay so not only have i perfected or gotten really really good

or a lot better doing video than i was nine years ago but i also have learned

how to rank my videos so people actually find them for certain keywords they

watch the video they like the stuff and then they they take action based on you

know the action that i told him to do okay it's pretty simple actually but if

you're not doing that if you're not ranking your video or coming out with

content in the first place then people aren't gonna be able to find

your stuff make sense right so now what do you you know if for those of you who

are a little bit scared of doing video okay and and I understand that it might

feel a little bit scary right because you've got your camera it's a little bit

unnatural to be honest especially if you're doing video for the first time

but but here's a little trick okay that you can do today and I promise you that

if you if you follow this exactly the way that I teach you by the time you've

done it and you've completed it which you know will take you

maybe an hour or so you're going to be a lot better like way way better at doing how to make video

video than you were when you first started okay so it's really really

simple all you do is you grab your iPhone or your Samsung or your video

camera or whatever phone you have okay think about what you want to talk about

and actually it doesn't even matter because this is just practice right it's

all about practice and honing your skill set okay online marketing is all about

practice guys okay whether it's you know doing webinars doing video setting our

email it's all practice okay and the problem with people in general all right

I'm not talking about you specifically I'm talking about I'm speaking to the

choir right now right I'm just talking about people in general they're way too

worried about what other people think of this stuff that they put out okay now

you have to remember that the people that see your stuff are probably not

gonna buy from you in the first place because your stuff probably isn't gonna

be that good to begin with okay does that make sense right so even if you're

sending out crappy emails you're doing crappy videos maybe your website doesn't

look that great it doesn't matter because these people aren't gonna buy

from you anyway okay they're not gonna buy from this version of the stuff that

you put out but it doesn't matter because it's practice yeah these these

people like cannon fodder all you're doing is you're getting stuff out there

you're honing your craft you're getting better right and eventually your stuff

is gonna get pretty good okay because you're gonna start doing a lot of it

okay once you start doing a lot of it you get really really good at it and

once you get really really good at it the people that see your stuff at that

time that version of you those are the people that are gonna get they're gonna

start to know like and trust you and then they're gonna start to buy your

stuff does that make sense right so don't put too much pressure on yourself

okay you know the first year that I was in business I did hundreds of videos

right and if I look back at my videos now man they cringe

you know that cringey I mean there were okay they wanted that bad but like I

wasn't smooth I wasn't you know relaxed I wasn't comfortable I couldn't just

sort of wing it I had to write everything down I had to memorize it now

I just wing my videos I literally I think about what I want to talk about

for 10 seconds and then I just I just go I just hit recall it I make mistakes I

don't even pause my videos I don't edit them okay you don't have to do that okay

because you're your real human being right and real human beings make

mistakes you know so it's okay if you you know if you if you can't think of

the word or you know you make a little you know you kind of stammer you say um

you know you make a couple of mistakes you correct yourself it's okay right as

long as the general quality of your video is pretty high and the stuff that

you're talking about is valuable and you're actually you know creating good

content that people can use and it can help them in their business their lives

or whatever you're trying to market online right that's the most important

thing okay it's not so important that everything has to be perfect all right

sorry guys last tool so coming back to what I was saying so what you want to do

then is so this is the strategy to making really really good video if

you're really nervous and you've never done it before okay grab your phone okay

and then think about what you want to say hit record look into the the lens of

the camera okay which is basically a little dot on your camera if it's if

it's your big camera it's basically the center of the lens that is the eye of

the camera that's the eye of your audience that you're gonna be speaking

to right look directly in there and basically just do your video do a five

to ten minute video and just talk about what you want to talk about it doesn't

matter if you make mistakes just try and get through it I know it's gonna feel a

little bit awkward right which is fine and then when you're done with it I want

you to stop and I don't even want you to watch it

don't watch your video okay you want to hit stop and then you just want to

delete it okay now after you've deleted it I want you to do it nine more times

in a row just record the five to ten minute video ten times do not stop you

might get pretty tired but by the time you finish your tenth video you're gonna

be pretty tired okay that's gonna take you like an hour an hour and a half

something like that okay but I promise you that by the time you get to your

tenth video it's gonna be way better than your first video okay because

you're doing a couple of things here first of all you're just practicing

right there's no pressure okay you're not gonna upload that video it's not

really about uploading the video it's more about practicing for yourself to

get comfortable talking in front of a camera alright because if you think

about it speaking in front of a camera is actually quite unnatural right

because usually when we're speaking we're speaking to someone right you're

speaking to an audience you're speaking to a friend you're speaking to a

colleague as you're speaking to a family member so when you're talking people are

usually talking back at you okay and you're usually feeding off them but when

you do videos like this you have nobody to feed off okay so you just constantly

have to you know have a flow and a train of thought and just deliver content and

that's okay okay and you can sort of you know start to add your personality into

it a little bit later on but it's not so important at the start okay just get the

content out make sure you're delivering good content it's smooth you make sense

you're that's all you're looking for okay all

that personality stuff that comes later okay once you start to get really

comfortable in front of the camera that you can start you know using hand

gestures and you know making jokes and doing different things right and you can

see in some of my videos I'm just I'm very comfortable with a camera so I

don't really care okay I can I can totally be myself I can make mistakes I

can say stupid things haha hopefully not too often right and it's okay alright

and you'll get to that point but initially you just want to you just want

to get the content out okay you just want to practice and so by the time you

hit your tenth video you're gonna be much much more comfortable okay and then

the next day okay so let's say you do this on a Monday on the Tuesday I want

you to do the same thing again okay think about what you want to deliver you

know whether it's talking about losing weight you know talking about the three

strategies to lose weight or you know the five strategies to generate ten

leads every single day whatever it is okay depending on the niche market

you're in hit record make another ten videos okay and then once you're done

with that maybe on the Wednesday so the third day that's when you do your real

video okay that's when you do write your real video

in fact when you what you could even do is don't even set yourself a time to do

your new you know the video that's when you're gonna upload just just record

them all and then take the best one and upload it you know it could be your

eighth one it could be a fifth one it could be a twenty-fifth one it doesn't

really matter okay but the more you do video the better you're gonna get and

the more comfortable you're gonna feel around the camera and then it becomes

really really easy okay become super easy now here's here's

a couple more tips that you can use okay what I would do is is when you first

start out okay don't worry so much about the quality of your videos okay

the important thing is to get your videos out there that's the only way

that you're gonna create a lot of content and you're gonna create traction

okay if you if you're too worried about the quality of your video as in oh it's

gonna be perfect the lighting has to be amazing you know how to make video

oh I made a mistake here I have to delete it I'm gonna try again you know

oh wow I want to make super professional videos and I want to cut everything

together put pictures and all that stuff if you're doing all that stuff you're

just not gonna get the content out there okay so I would say for your first like

100 videos don't even worry about any of that stuff okay if you go back and look

at my videos on my You Tube channel you'll see that I don't I don't do any

of that okay because what I figure is that if I worry about all that stuff

it's gonna take me too long to create content okay and if time becomes an

issue you're not gonna get enough content out there okay which is why I

don't do that okay I literally just take my camera I hit record I just do it 10

15 maybe 20 minute video I hit pause I don't even cut mine you know myself

you know going in and pressing the record button off and on I don't even

bother right because it's all about creating good content and getting it out

to the marketplace in the best way that you can at that point in time okay later

on once you know you've got time and you know maybe you've got an editor and all

that stuff and you can just get you know you can outsource that kind of stuff

then maybe you can increase the quality of your videos right but the content of

your video initially is the most important thing and just the volume of

content that you come up with is the most important thing okay so I hope that

makes sense here so so don't worry so much about it because you you will still

get a lot of traction I promise you that if your videos are good and you're

delivering them well and you're talking about good stuff that people can use in

their lives and it can change your life believe me when I say people will love

that type of content okay don't worry so much about you know you know you know

cutting it you know and perfectly and all that stuff and having titles and

having music and all that stuff don't worry about that you can you can do all

that stuff later on okay so that's pretty much it okay I think that if you

focus on that if you number one if you focused on doing video

it's gonna make a big big difference to your business overall okay if you're not

doing video at all you're gonna ask yourself why okay you

got to start doing video because I almost guarantee that as soon as you

start doing video your conversions are gonna double in triple even quadruple

okay because all of a sudden people just connect with you and people like to buy

video the video at like 70 views and I was like no way no way and that was

before I watch the Vita then I watch the video and I couldn't believe it

How To EDIT VIDEOs -- Complete Beginner's Guide! - Duration: 12:53.

I know how to edit show me

what's up guys so let's say you've just taken a trip or you've got a bunch of

footage and you've never edited a video before where do you get started well I'm

gonna give you a quick crash course on editing we're gonna go over these ten

basic editing topics and by the end of it you'll have learned the most basic

fundamentals and editing to get you started on your first project now I'm

useful Mura because it's my go-to software but these techniques I share

with you are universal so you can use them on most other software's if you do

decide you want to use for Mora then you can try it free by clicking on the link

here or in the description box below so to start this video off I'm going to

show you a little sample of a travel video that I put together

there are so many things that you can create for video now I would describe my

video as a travel and montage film now earlier I mentioned how the editing

techniques in this video are universal to most software out there they're also

universal to all types of film genres such as narrative music videos

documentaries and much more so don't worry if you're not making a travel film

now let's take a look at film or

when you open filmora a window will pop up here you can pick the aspect ratio in

the mode most modern-day cameras and phones film video and sixteen by nine

widescreen so I'll select that for this tutorial we will be using the full

feature mode and Tamura in this mode you can have total control of your edit and

full access of the features in femoral now I'll give you a quick tour of the

film or program the top left of filmora is where your media file browser is this

is where you can import and store your files to the right of this window is the

preview screen where you can preview files in your media browser and where

you view your work in the timeline this long portion on the bottom is called the

timeline this is where your clips will be once you start editing them the icons

above your timeline are your editing tools you will use these tools to edit

your footage in the timeline lastly the icons above the editing tools

are links to your media music text transitions and more features that come

with the program now since you know how to use filmora let's get started the

first thing I do when starting your video is import my video files there's

new video files to edit your video after you've opened filmora

the first thing you'll do is import your media to do that press the import media

icon find your clips select them then press load all your clips will then

appear in the same window as the import media icon for my travel video I want my

first clip to be visually interesting and distinctly Japanese I suggest when

you're adding your videos that the first few clips be interesting and set the

tone and theme for your video that's why I chose the samurai shot but it's really

up to you now let's get that first clip of yours in the timeline take the clip

you want in your video and drag it to the timeline if you want to shorten or

lengthen the clip you can do so by dragging either the right or left side

of the clip in the timeline there is also the split tool to use the split

tool first find where you want the clip to start and then do a split then find

the spot where you want the clip to and do another split then delete the

parts you don't want once you start adding clips to your timeline you love

cuts now let's start going over the most basic technique in editing

cuts the first cut I want to talk about is the match cut the match cut is

similar to the standard cut which is just a regular cut but what makes it

different is when one shot is cut to another and match by the action same

shape or subject matter like this now what I've done to this shot is cut on

action a cut that happens on the middle of the action this cut is often

constructed from two Clips not the same clip doing a cut on action will make

cuts appear smoother or faster also a cut on action can be applied to any

level of action even for something as simple as snapping now I'm going to add

a little more to the timeline and use standard cut on action and match cuts

see you in five seconds

all right so that just about covers cutting now I do have to mention that

there are many more cuts such as the cross cut that aren't in this video so

as I watch more of this video I'm getting kind of tired of all these

standard cuts and I feel like I can add more to this video so to liven it up

let's explore Fillmore's effects and tools transitions are usually used to

change the look of a cut however I like to have a reason why I use them such as

having a more serene feeling between cuts

I remember this for us being very peaceful and right after I went to the

Inari shrine I felt a standard cut would be too abrupt sort of smoothing it out I

added a transition called a dissolve to view the transitions click the icon that

has two arrows pointing away from each other to add a transition to your

sequence you can either drag it between two clips or put the scrubber in between

two Clips then click the plus sign on your desired transition easy right now

they cut between the two shots dissolve into each other which is more pleasing

now for this Skateboarding clip I want to do something cool I only want a

certain moment of this clip to be in slow motion this is where the split tool

in combination when the speed control function comes in first I'm going to

find the spot where I want the clip to be in slow motion I'll then make a split

and leave that part as is for now for the other part of the clip I just split

I will change the speed by using the edit tool in the speed section use the

sliding bar to change the speed by making either slower or faster in my

case I filmed in slow motion so I will speed it up

sometimes I'll cut two clips that have a similar visual aesthetic right after one

another as it eases us into the next shot like this well you may not have

noticed is that I actually used an overlay to smooth out cut the original

footage didn't really cut as well as I'd liked so instead of using a transition I

added an overlay effect to give it a more smooth cut to add an overlay select

the overlays icon which is located under the media window click on any of them

and you can preview it once you find one you like press the plus icon to add it

to your timeline I do want to mention the overlays aren't only for

transitioning between two cuts they're actually meant for being put on top of

your footage and giving them a little more Flair on my trip the food tasted so

heavenly but the raw footage just didn't do it justice so when I feel like the

raw footage could look even better I take a journey through the filters sort

of make the food look more heavenly I want you to find a nice glow filter to

add to my footage the filters are located to the left of the overlays

click on any of them to preview just make sure the scrubber is on the clip

you want to preview to apply to my edit I'll press the good old plus sign

filters can easily add drama change the tone of the shot or stylize your image

now if you're wondering the difference between a filter and an overlay well a

filter generally manipulates your footage like the color

the contrast exposure and overall image whereas an overlay simply goes on top of

your footage

this is my favorite part of editing adding music they say that audio and

sound make up 50% of a video luckily for me for more it comes with the library of

music to see the music library select the music icon you can preview song it's

by clicking them and then pressing play in the preview window to add a song just

click the plus sign and it will be added to your timeline we're all humans and

sometimes we make mistakes on occasion I've set my camera to the wrong white

balance setting which results in the color of my foot is just not looking

right luckily I can use the color correction tool to fix my mistake now

color correction is when you correct the brightness the darkness the color

temperature or saturation of your footage and it generally comes at the

last part of the process when you're happy with your edit notice how the shot

has a blue tint to it this is because I had my camera's white balance set

incorrectly my camera was set for indoor lighting when it's supposed to be set

for outdoor lighting if the white balance was set correctly for outdoor

lighting it would look warmer to fix the color of this clip I'm going to use the

advanced color tuning tool when selected a window will pop up in this window you

can use presets or adjust the color on your own on the left side of this window

are the tools and presets you can use and on the right is where you can

preview the changes to the clip you have made the changes you make in this window

will only be applied to the clip you select not the entire timeline to adjust

the color on this clip I'm going to use the white balance slider since the

temperature of this video is a little cold and blue looking I'll shift the

temperature bar more towards the orange section to make it warmer I just want to

correct the footage to look less blue so I won't have to go too far

also when correcting the color of a clip my rule of thumb is to make the whites

look white if there is no white in the clip try to find where it's really

bright and adjust until it's white like the fur of this monkey even though I

only fix the white balance in my clip you can do a lot more with the advance

color tuning tool you can apply Luntz use presets just exposure add a vignette

and get more out of color correcting

adding text is a way to make a clear statement of what your video is about

but for me personally I think keeping it short is the key to add a title and

femaura click the text credit icon let's pick this one and to add it to your

timeline click the plus sign to edit the title double-click it in the timeline

and the title inspector will pop up in the inspector window you can select

which text you want to change by double clicking since I traveled to Japan this

year I'll keep it simple and title in Japan for the subtext I'll put the year

which is 2017 once you're happy with it it's time to export it on the very right

of the forum or effects icons is the export button click the button and a

window will pop up in this window you can name your video select the

resolution and choose where will save to for file format I usually choose mp4 as

it's the best codec for uploading to YouTube once you're ready click export

and your video will start exporting as you can see Filmore has a bunch of great

features and are very easy to do I have to say we just scraped the surface of

editing concepts and there are a lot more tools to explore tomorrow hope you

learn something and that this tutorial helps you get started on editing you

next video now go ahead and leave us a comment below and let us know what your

favorite cut is or if you made anything in filmora share with us don't forget to

Like comment subscribe and we'll see you next time

as a last note I'm gonna leave you with this piece of advice I believe that

great editing sedative that no one notices

you
