Youtube daily google Jan 29 2018

Google has just announced a new addition to their services, which include YouTube and

Gmail.

This new tool will allow users to 'mute' advertisements from the millions of websites

trying to get your attention.

One classic example is eBay, you'll see their advertisements all across the internet

- especially after a recent visit.

This happens because Google allows companies to track you, which is why you'll often

see the same adverts on different platforms.

Yup, it's never a coincidence!

We think google has realised just how annoying it is, and how it makes companies look bad.

There's no doubt, this is one of the biggest reasons, why people desperately use ad blocking

software.

So now, you'll be able to block adverts from specific companies, for up to 3 months

at a time.

This only works with ads that are placed by Google, but it's an improvement so this

new update should be out soon!

Making a Google Drive Folder - Duration: 0:47.

To setup with Google Drive you will need to log into your Google account. If you are

on a Chromebook, you all only have to open up your current browser to get to

your Drive. If you are on a personal computer or a desktop computer you will

have to login again and then go drive.google.com in your omnibox to set up a

new folder. Press new, folder and give it the name. Ex. "Health Science 20" I like to

put "DL" behind this because I have more than one class that is going

to set up a folder. Anytime you do work for Health Science 20, click on your

folder first, then click new and whatever use will go in the folder automatically.

Linking to Google Form - Duration: 0:41.

One of the things that I would like you to do is to fill out the "Student

Information Sheet". The link is down here. You need to click on that one time. That

is going to take you to an external Google Form. Please fill out the

information. Some of these are required. When you get down to the end click on

submit. If you forget to fill out a required blank, it will kick you back to

the form and ask you to do that. Once you have completed the required

information, select submit. It will give you a confirmation message when it has been submitted.

Creating Google Folders (PS20) - Duration: 1:00.

One of the things that I would like you to do is to establish a Physical Science

20 folder on Google Drive. In order to do that you will need to log into your

Google account. If you are logged into a Chromebook then all you have to do is

open up your Chrome browser and it will open up for you. If you're on your

own personal laptop or a desktop computer, you'll have to sign in to

Google, then you will want to go to drive.google.com. Select "New", "Folder". I am going

to add DL behind this because I have two Physical Science 20 clasess - one face

to face and one distributed learning. That is going to create a

Physical Science 20 folder for me. Any time I create a new thing inside the folder, it is easy to find next time.
