all right what's going on John here again with a brand new cryptocurrency
video what were talking about in this one is the recent increase in the
ethereum price I'm going to give my predictions for what I think is gonna
happen in 2018 and I'm just going to talk a little bit on whether or not
right now is a good time to jump in all right before we get to that if you want

price in 2018 alright so for those of you don't know what ethereum is it's
one of the biggest crypto currencies out there for the longest time it was the
number two spot behind Bitcoin but it actually just recently got passed and is
sitting in the number three spot and if you want to learn more about it you
can just go to ethereum dot org but essentially it's a
decentralized platform that allows you to run smart contracts so you can
basically build platforms on it without any possibility of downtime
censorship fraud or third party interference it was a pretty cool thing
you can build your own cryptocurrency on it and a lot of cryptocurrencies out
there are actually built on the ethereum Network so that's another positive side
to it because if people are building on the platform then there's a you know
a definite use for it and that's just going to continue to allow it to you
know grow and increase the price over time but you know you can you know crowd
fund all that kind of stuff you can just read on it here but I'm definitely a
believer in it I'm definitely invested in ethereum and I think it's going to be
a great coin going into 2018 and beyond so if we look at the coin market cap
here we can see that it's in the number three spot it just got passed by
Ripple the other day up
fourteen percent eight hundred eighty seven dollars per coin and you know I
find that a lot of people actually overlook it you know
people always seem to be talking about Bitcoin or ripple or you know litecoin
or you know all these other all coins down here but find that nobody really
talks about ethereum everyone kind of overlooks it but you know if people are
building on top of their network you know that's a that's a good sign that it
could be a huge thing and I'm pretty positive in my opinion
that ethereum is it's gonna have another great year um you know it has
had a great year in 2017 I mean if we get this to load here and see the
year-to-date yeah so it started the year at nine
you know almost ten dollars and you know we're at eight hundred and eighty eighty
dollars right now so you know I I wouldn't expect it to have another you
know that good of a run but I see it definitely having another you know at
least a hundred percent year you know going back to going back to you know
beginning in December I kind of thought you know we were trading at about 400
and you know three to four hundred dollars in
that range I felt originally thought that in 2018
we get to the thousand dollar mark but you know we just had this huge explosion
here and I think a thousand dollars is you know it's gonna happen with them
within the next few months so you know I can definitely go more at two thousand
dollars and I think it's definitely doable in the next coming year because
that's you know a little over 100 percent increase in price so I
definitely that's doable looking at the the charts here for a second what I'm
looking at here is so this level right here is was the current resistance level
at about you know let's just say $800 right now we're at 843 so what I'm
looking for to happen is that this candle here is to close above $800 level
all right so if if this candle starts to come down it actually closes below the
$800 level that's gonna show that this is still a resistance level and the
market has kind of rejected the higher price so that might mean that you know
we might have had a double top here but I am looking if this is to close above
the 800 level that's a definite bullish sign and that's a sign of strength so
again looking at the eth to btc so we had a another resistance here and it
looks like we actually you know we we blew past that but it looks like we the
market rejected the price so it's actually trading below that right now
and yeah again if it's too close above this level with a bullish sign but if it
does close below this that's gonna be a sign of a double top and that usually
means that we're in for a little bit of a little bit of a downturn and then
we'll probably test that level again but if this is the close above I'm a
definite bullish sign you know the RSI is kind of a little bit high Mac these a
little bit high you know you know we're almost over bought territory but the
MACD is curling so I would watch the price you see where this ends up make
sure it stays above this what you can also do is you can you can purchase here
and then set your stop loss for about 800 because if it does come back down
this is probably gonna you know come down a little bit so if you want to jump
in right now I would recommend setting your stop-loss at about you know a
little under 800 just just to be safe because you know it could explode from
here even more it could come down but you know risk reward if you buy here
you know and you end up stopping out at a little under 800 it's not that big of
a deal so that's what I would recommend but yeah that being said I ethereum I
think it's a definite definitely has a lot of room to grow I think if
you're just getting into crypto a lot of people are always talking about all
these smaller coins and yeah they they do have you know bigger potential for
returns but on the other hand you can definitely lose a lot to you know what
goes up fast comes down even faster right so what I would recommend if
you're just getting started start with the big ones you know start
with Bitcoin you know ethereum like coin start with those ones and then you
know ripple coin I know I'm not a I'm not a big believer in Bitcoin cash so
maybe I avoid that one but you can't really go wrong with the top ten coins I
think all of them are gonna have you know a great year we can definitely make
money in any of these but you know if you're brand new just become familiar
with these start investing in these first and then you know as you as you
gain you know you get more knowledge and all that kind of stuff and you can read
charts better that then start expanding into these but you know I definitely
wouldn't recommend jumping into any of these if you're brand new stick stick to
the top ten so you know that being said we talked about the ethereum you know
there's platforms being built on it which is a bonus you know what's had
this you know big spike up and I definitely see it passing $1,000 within
the next few months I am invested I I do believe in the platform I think it's
gonna have another great year so um that's gonna be it for this video
