Congress Calls For Immediate Impeachment, But Not For

President Trump

When Donald Trump ran for President in 2016, he promised to drain the D.C. swamp.

That included the many government officials who abuse their power for their own ends.

We knew the swamp wouldn't go without a fight.

Across the political spectrum, swamp dwellers have tried to take Trump down.

The biggest effort has been the bogus Russian investigation.

After a year of inquiry, this "special consul" has yet to provide proof Trump worked with

Russia.

But this all started after agents in the FBI and DOJ manipulated the law to acquire surveillance.

Citing the debunked "dossier" these agents used their power to spy on the Trump campaign.

Their hopes, to find real dirt to destroy his chances at winning.

After all this time, few of those swamp dwellers got the punishment they deserved.

But it looks like that's about to change.

From The Hill:

A group of conservative House lawmakers have begun drafting a resolution that calls for

the impeachment of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the top Department of Justice

(DOJ) official overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation…

The articles include allegations that Rosenstein violated federal law by refusing to comply

with a congressional subpoena over Congress's efforts to obtain documents about FBI surveillance

during the election, intentionally stalling document production for congressional investigations

into possible government misconduct and failing to enforce key laws and protocols…

Count five charges Rosenstein of "knowingly provided misleading statements related to

his supervision of the initial Department of Justice investigation into the Trump campaign's

alleged contacts with Russia when he testified under oath before Congress on December 13,

2017 that any involvement FBI attorney Bruce Ohr had in the Russian investigation was without

his knowledge."

It sounds like Rosenstein is one of the many Obama-era agents who worked to undermine the

election.

They used false documents to acquire warrants to monitor the Trump campaign.

It was an elaborate attempt at slandering Trump and preventing him from winning.

When Congress tried to get to the bottom of this dubious surveillance, it seems like Rosenstein

got in the way.

He stalled, hoping the Congress would not get their requested documents.

The charges claim he also mislead Congress while they were investigating.

No doubt he hoped to protect agents that were up to no good.

This is pretty common in government.

The swamp is deep.

Those in it fight to protect themselves and each other.

Because, if one of them is exposed, they might take everyone else with them!

It's pretty suspicious of Rosenstein to delay Congress.

But that's all too common among the DOJ, FBI, and intelligence community.

They don't like to answer to Congress for the many things they do.

When probed and prodded, they go out of their way to delay.

All to keep the truth from getting out.

Will this effort to impeach Rosenstein work?

Only if it gets support from more Congress members.

If enough lawmakers push for it, Rosenstein might be out of a job pretty soon.

Good afternoon.

Expect a chilly and breezy Thursday in South Korea,... while Tokyo and Beijing will have

warmer temperatures with morning showers in Japan's capital city.

Highs will also be a lot lower than seasonal averages.

Seoul and Chuncheon will get up to 15 degrees Celsius.

Gyeongju and Daegu will reach 20 degrees.

Expect another cool day tomorrow but it will remain mostly sunny with warm readings into

the long three-day weekend.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

South Korea will have a breezy Thursday under partly sunny skies, while some parts of North

Korea will see lingering showers.

Manila experienced the hottest day of the year so far on Wednesday afternoon with a

high of 36.8 degrees, expect another steamy day.

Over in Melbourne, hazy conditions will continue until strong winds set in.

Heading to North America, thunderstorms are moving into the Chicago area Wednesday afternoon,

and could become worse with severe thunderstorms alerts issued for area.

As for South America, Bogota will be showery into next week.

Taking you to Europe,...Big temperature differences will continue in Madrid under mostly sunny

skies.

Lastly to Africa, moderate temperatures are predicted for Cape Town as heavy rain clears

up on Thursday.

Farmer Discovers 4 Kittens In Barn, But When They Grow He Realizes They're Not House Cats - Duration: 2:18.

Farmer Discovers 4 Kittens In Barn, But When They Grow He Realizes They're Not House

Cats

It is safe to say that even if people don't like cats, they can't help but like kittens,

if only a little bit.

Kittens are just too soft and small not to love.

If you're a full-blown cat lover, then you probably have a bit of a kitten obsession.

I often try to adopt a kitten every other month, only to have my family tell me that

is too many!

One farmer in Russia stumbled upon a group of kittens in his barn.

They'd been abandoned by their mother, The farmer waited, but the mama cat never came

back.

He took the kittens in, as they needed care, but after getting a good look at the kittens

he realized something.

They weren't average kittens.

In fact, they looked nothing like any breed of house cat he'd ever seen.

He realized there was a good reason for that — the kittens were not actually domestic

cats!

Much like the woman who found a kitten all alone in a dumpster, only to learn how rare

he was, this farmer was in for a surprise.

At first glimpse, I think anyone would mistake this little one as regular kitten, especially

if that person was not familiar with newborn kittens and what they look like before they

open their eyes.

When the farmer realized that these kittens weren't actually house cats, he contacted

Daursky Nature Reserve.

Turns out, they're Pallas's cats or manuls, a small wild cat that is native to Central

Asia.

The Pallas's cat is the size of a domestic cat, though their tails are much longer and

can reach about 12 inches in length.

They look much denser and plusher than house cats, but they weigh the same too!

The 4 kittens were cared for by Daursky Nature Reserve, where they got "mama care" from

2 cats at the reserve.

The cats bonded well with the babies and cared for them like they were their own.

Since these gorgeous creatures belong in the wild, they only stayed at Daursky Nature Reserve

for a short while, until they were ready to head out on their own.

The four siblings have already adapted well to the wild!

Have you ever seen a wild cat quite as cute as them?

Please SHARE these adorable cats with all of your friends and family!

Jurgen Klopp opens up on LUCKY Liverpool but insists Real Madrid tempted fate too! ● News Now ● #LFC - Duration: 2:50.

JURGEN KLOPP admits Liverpool got lucky in their Champions League semi-final win over

Roma - but Real Madrid also tempted fate to reach the final.

Liverpool lost 4-2 in Rome on Wednesday night but went through 7-6 on aggregate.

They had been 5-0 up at Anfield at one point in the first leg - but endured worrying instability

in defence to let Roma back into the tie.

Real themselves were pushed to the limit by Bayern Munich but eventually prevailed over

the double-header.

The two sides meet in the final in Kiev on March 26 and Klopp is adamant his Reds side

deserved to be there.

"We are deserved finalists 100 per cent," he said.

"You don't come without luck.

We needed it only one time tonight.

Real Madrid needed luck yesterday too.

That's how it is.

"We have two very important Premier League games then let's go the final and try our

best.

"The boys deserve it, the character they showed, the football they showed - it was

just crazy.

I forgot the score!

It was 7-6 right?

Unbelievable!"

Liverpool still have Premier League fixtures against Chelsea and Brighton to play before

they turn their heads back to the Champions League.

This will be the third final they have reached in Klopp's tenure - but they are yet to

win a trophy.

Discussing his final record with the Anfield club, the German boss said: "We should start

winning but I know that.

Liverpool twice went ahead in the Stadio Olimpico thanks to Sadio Mane and Gini Wijnaldum goals,

only for Roma to hit back and then make a game of it with two very late strikes.

Discussing the erratic match, Klopp added: "The game was wild.

They took all the risks and we punished it with the counter-attack but then we gave away

a goal.

"There was lots of space.

But then our last line was too deep and you cannot play like this.

Each counter-attack was really dangerous for us but we didn't use this.

We were a little too patient.

We are usually much better - you know this.

"It was the first semi-final for most of the boys so normal to have to keep nerves

in.

It was a little bit exciting – more exciting than I actually wanted."

Counterthink video Bill Cosby found guilty but Bill Clinton - Duration: 1:25.

Counterthink video Bill Cosby found guilty but Bill Clinton still at large

by: Mike Adams

Bill Cosby has been found guilty on all three charges, potentially subjecting him to life

in prison (hes 80 years old, and the charges carry up to 30 years of imprisonment).

Yet Bill Clinton, who also allegedly raped and sexually assaulted multiple women, has

yet to be indicted at all.

Clinton remains protected by the fake news media, and it seems he will never face the

consequences of his outrageous actions.

Why the double standard?

Could it because Bill Clinton is a wealthy, politically powerful white man while Bill

Cosby is a black man with no such political power?

Watch my Counterthink episode for the full discussion.

Why The American Dream Is Gone — But The Chinese Dream Is Alive - Duration: 2:57.

- If you are a member of the working or middle class

in the United States your life has not improved

in last 40 forty years.

We have taken hundreds and hundreds of millions of people

out of poverty around the world over the course

of the past decades.

The rise of China has been extraordinary,

1.4 billion people we've never seen anything like it

that growth has occurred on the back of

open borders and free trade, no question.

But you have lost a lot of opportunities in the West.

You have created much greater structural inequality

and it's not just about the economy

but the economy's a big piece of it.

If you are a member of the working or middle class

in the United States your life has not improved

in the last 40 years, you feel like

the American dream no longer applies to you

while the Chinese feel like the Chinese dream

that's something that they can be a part of.

That obviously undermines the notion of liberal democracy.

If the majority of Americans don't think

they're capitalists 'cause they don't have capital

then they're not gonna support a capitalist system

and they're particularly not gonna support it

if they think that the capitalists on top

aren't doing anything for them.

If their infrastructure isn't being invested into,

if their schools aren't being invested into,

if their policing isn't being invested into,

if their healthcare is worse than it used to be,

if we're not responding to a massive opioid crisis

then they're not going to support these governments.

And by the way, we're saying this at a time

when the US economy is growing at a strong clip.

We're saying this at a time when the IMF

has just upgraded their expectations for global growth

in 2018 and 2019 to 3.9%, the best the world economy

has done since before the financial crisis.

If that's the case now, what's gonna happen

in the next recession?

What's gonna happen suddenly when we don't have

a huge tax plan that benefits everyone

and we're spending like crazy and increasing the deficit.

What's gonna happen suddenly when times get tighter

and when the corporations aren't hitting the profitability

that they are right now.

I mean clearly this is a situation

that is going to get worse.

We elected Trump in the United States.

So people think it was an illegitimate election

but there's no question he got the Republican nomination

over 16 other candidates and Ted Cruz

was probably number two.

Bernie Sanders was clearly enormously popular

on the Democratic side, like, whoever won

the US election, we've not seen an election like this

with this kind of anti-establishment sentiment

in certainly, not as long as I've been alive,

and in Europe the vote for Brexit,

in Germany, the support for the

Alternatives For Deutschland party

for the first time a nationalist party

in the German parliament since Word War II.

Given their history that's extraordinary.

In Italy, the Five Star movement, the Northern League

winning from the far left and the far right,

this is obviously not an accident.

MW18 Lightning Talk: "But Is It Art?" and Making "A Piece Of Work" Podcast - Duration: 6:44.

I'm the first of a few MoMA speakers.

Today I'm going to talk about the

basically how and why

we decided to make a podcast

called A Piece of Work.

So if you've ever been to MoMA's galleries

you may have seen a bicycle wheel attached to a stool,

canvas splattered with paint,

a text-based work of conceptual art.

And for many works like these understandably

prompt a ton of questions and strong reactions.

At MoMA we conduct visitor research

to try and get a sense of what

our visitors want to know

about these works and the questions they have.

Then we aim to tailor our interpretive resources,

audio labels to address those topics and questions.

But, despite that,

analysis of our online reviews

of MoMA on Trip Advisor, Yelp, Google

reveal that many visitors still are frustrated with

or completely dismissive of

modern and contemporary art.

In fact, not getting it is basically one of the top

most cited complaints and negative reviews of MoMA.

So armed with this candid feedback,

a team of us in education seized the opportunity

to take a more creative and irreverent approach to content.

So one that would meet visitors where they are,

namely beyond the walls of the museum

and engage them without assuming

their inherent love of art, modern art.

We wanted to capture a range of voices

and perspectives so we decided to make a podcast.

After making a pilot in-house

we realized we quite desperately

needed some outside perspective and expertise.

So after flushing out our goals for the project internally,

we partnered with WNYC Studios

a subsidiary of NPR that produces and distributes

podcasts and other on-demand content.

We really admired how they have strategically

diversified their voices and the topics of their podcasts

and embraced a more informal tone

to expand their audiences over the last few years.

We knew they would bring not only an abundance

of audio expertise, production expertise, but

a really much broader listener base.

So we worked with their producers for several weeks

to map out the topics and works of art

that we would cover in the 10 episodes.

At first we strictly adhered to the works

that visitors cited with extreme vitriol

in our online reviews, but then we agreed

that it would be a disservice to all,

just to address works by dead white males.

So we brought in a range of makers and mediums

covered to include performance art and video art

for instance, and design.

And one of the most significant decisions

we then had to make was who would be the host.

And WNYC really stressed the importance of having

a compelling host, one with their own following ideally.

And we came up with a list of people

who we called visual art adjacents.

So they weren't in the art world

but they were interested in the arts

or had some relationship to it.

And we hit the jackpot.

So to our great delight, Abbi Jacobson,

who many of you know is the creator

and star of Broad City, signed on.

She went to art school undergrad,

she's an illustrator, and she's a huge fan of MoMA.

And from day one she just truly got our mission.

She didn't brush up on her art history in advance

because she really wanted to be an empathetic stand-in

for the curious but skeptical visitor.

So instead she put her energy into having

thoughtful and obviously quite hilarious conversations

about the art with curators and educators,

with artists and with some of her celebrity friends.

And it was awesome and unexpected to

hear her talk to, for instance, Questlove

about Escaping into the Blue, Yves Klein painting

or describing and reacting to iconic

sixties performance art with RuPaul.

And then we of course we punctuated

these conversations with box of visitor reactions

and insights on many of the same works.

So as with all digital products

I can not overstate the importance of having a launch plan.

Our marketing and communications teams

of both institutions coordinated with Abbi

and we worked on a press and social strategy

for maximum impact.

I can personally say in my 18 years at MoMA

it's the only Entertainment Weekly exclusive

I can recall us having.

And during the launch period we tapped

the arts and culture podcast lists

of top picks podcast lists and

since July we've had 1.2 million downloads.

But more importantly, visitors or listeners

really seem to like the content.

It's had positive reviews from art lovers

and skeptics alike.

Many talk about it as Abbi's podcast

so it suggested we succeeded in

stepping outside our institutional voice.

We learned a lot from this project

but a couple of things stand out.

First, listen to the scathing feedback online

even if it hurts a bit because you're going to learn

what's not resonating and what you're failing at.

And think about the benefits and trade offs

of collaborating across organizations.

It took longer to establish mutual goals

but in the end we agreed we couldn't

have produced the same content work,

achieve the same reach independently.

And importantly, given listener response we learned

the power of making space for irreverent perspectives,

non-expert voices and real visitor reactions to the art.

So I'm just gonna play a quick teaser

at the end to give you a sense.

- [Abbi] Hey, I'm Abbi Jacobson

maybe you know me from Broad City

but I do other stuff, I mean, I do a lot.

I'm extremely busy.

I'm also an artist, I went to art school and everything.

But it's actually been a few years

since I've been able to go and look at art

and appreciate it and think about it.

So, I'm diving back in.

MoMA's letting me wander their galleries

for a new WNYC Studios podcast called A Piece of Work.

This summer I talked to some of my friends like Questlove,

Tavi Gevinson, RuPaul and I'm in it too,

I mean I am all over this podcast.

Look at me in that turtleneck.

I also get to talk to some experts and artists and curators

and I learned some incredible things so buckle up baby

because we're in for a wild ride.

Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

That's a good one.

I should do some marketing and get this guy known, right?

(laughing)

- [Speaker] Thank you so much

(clapping)
