"So Many Cities" - From B Live Concert (4/11/18) - Duration: 5:18.
This next song actually came from my friend, Rachel Kahn.
I went on to my Facebook group and I posted,
"Hey, someone write me some words, literally any words."
And my friend Rachel, who was my favorite poet in high school,
wrote down these words for me in handwriting.
You can see the script, it said, "I've left parts of myself in so many cities."
And she also wrote - And the other line that was in there was,
"When does a question become an answer?"
Which I thought was so lovely.
Yeah, and this is Kiani. (cheers)
The singalong portion of this is:
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Sing it back.
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Again.
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
One, two, three, and...
Am I in motion or just in pieces?
How can I miss what I never needed?
If I should forget will you remember?
When does a question become an answer?
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
I've left parts of myself in so many cities
I've left parts of myself in so many cities
But all I've kept
And all I've left I'll give to you
Who are these strangers?
Who are these strangers? I miss the old crowd.
Who are the old crowd? I miss the strangers.
We brace for impact, we've waited so long.
I try to hold on and then the ground falls.
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
I've left parts of myself in so many cities
I've left parts of myself in so many cities
But all I've kept
And all I've left I'll give to you
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh Oh oh oh oh oh
Gorgeous leave it all behind (All behind, all behind)
Gorgeous we can travel light (Travel light, travel, light)
All I need is you and time
Gorgeous we can travel light
I've left parts of myself in so many cities
I've left parts of myself in so many cities
I've left parts of myself in so many different cities
I've left parts of myself in so many different cities
All I've kept
And all I've left
I'll give to you
(vocalizes)
(cheers)
Keala Settle is shaking, honey.

059 - Loughborough to Mountsorrel on our Narrowboat. - Duration: 14:55.
So we are currently in Loughborough, or luga baruga, or luff bruff.
And we've... we've been here since Friday.... Thursday... yep.
We've had three days of... jeez is it almost four days now?
Today will be our fourth day of social interaction. We're just no used to it.
No, we're not used to so much. We can't cope with it.
We came down on Friday, erm Thursday. And on Friday it turned out that Jono,
of Journey with Jono fame was erm... Morning. Morning.
Was near by and able to come visit us for lunch. So we had another loverly little lunch.
So on Saturday, Michael met a viewer who we'd already met in Shardlow.
And was very kindly driven up to... to see a steam train.
And it was the... I'm going to get this wrong... West Midlands Railway Museum.
So got to sit on a steam train for the first time in my life. And take a little tour and everything.
The old demonstration signal box where they would have pulled these levers to
signal the people out on the train yard what was going on, which way you could turn,
what was your junction ,was it time to leave, did you have the line clear.
And all these indicators, tell you what the status was, of the line that you'd signalled.
That was great fun. Erm... really, really nice so thank you for that.
And then yesterday, we basically did a tour of the Derby, erm. South Derbyshire...
Yep... went up to... With another couple of viewers. They took us up to see the Cromford canal... and then erm...
Which is the disconnected section that used to run to the top of it Erewash at Langley Mill.
Yeah it was lovely. Yeah, it was really cool. Yeah, it was beautiful. And quite a touristy little hunny pot area,
with lots of people visiting and the old mill that Arkwright built.
Yep, it was, sort of, the beginning of the the industrial revolution, and oddly enough,
I didn't realise this, but it was interesting to go there and see it,
Arkwright built the first water powered cotton mill, and the cotton was coming
from America. Which oddly enough, seems to have led, through a series of
connections to, the invention of the water powered cotton ginny I think it's called.
And, sort of, the breakdown of slavery in the United States so it's hilar...[laughing]
So its a pretty strange connection, but the Industrial Revolution basically happened there.
Where else did we go? to Wirksworth. And I got to stand inside of a Saxon coffin.
Which you surprisingly fit in well. Well almost fit in.
The lid wouldn't have been able to come down on top of me, but you know, maybe my bones.
Oh, the puzzle maze is just above there,
lovely little houses that the old lead miners built, up along the shelf above the town.
And then we went up to a dark sky area, to sort of get a view all around
Yeah, of the South Derbyshire countryside. The Peak District.
Today we are off to meet a couple of other viewers, who we met on the Erewash as well.
Although, I don't think they were viewers then. I'm not sure, but they are viewers now.
Well, they have viewed one video anyway because they were in it.
But first we are going to back-up, under this bridge. And go down to the basin at Loughborough.
To empty our rubbish, empty our liquids tank and pop to Tesco's.
Because there is a Tesco's and Sainsbury's right here so it is really convenient.
Let's go. Okay. I have to throw this ball again.
So, we've just got to Loughborough basin, to use the facilities.
And once again there is no recycling available. There is just one general waste bin.
So that means that since, I think it was Fradley Junction, was the last time we found recycling.
and we've been all the way up the Erewash and back, and so we've got about two and a half weeks of recycling on board now.
It's just it really frustrates me when every household in England is required to recycle.
And not only plastics, but metals and paper and clothing and food and, and everything.
And yet boaters are expected to put, in the majority of places, all their litter into general waste for landfill.
It just annoys me.
So, there are plenty of interesting, and sometimes odd things to see on the canals.
but you don't normally pass an anti-aircraft gun.
Not an everyday thing.
We've got to Pillings Lock and it's very noisy.
It says its open. It looks like a flood lock.
Because we are about to go out onto the river. And , erm. Just trying to work out how to open the gates
As you can see there, we're well into the green, so it looks like a little bit of flow on the river, but not too bad
We've just got to Barrow.... I think we're in Barrow on Soar. Michael's miles ahead now.
He was obviously going with the current and has floated off downstream.
There's these really cute little moorings here underneath the arches of the bridge
Okay, I love this boat. Its the Diskworld boat. There's Death. There, is Death on Binky.
There's Cohen the Barbarian. And the Luggage
Over here's Rincewind. And various other characters. The Nac Mac Feegle. I love this boat.
Barrow Mill facilities. No recycling.
So earlier today we passed an anti aircraft gun.
And now it's a house with its own fusillade of cannon.
I kind of doubt they work , but you never know
Be funny if one went off right now.
So, just coming in to Mountsorrel, and that is the.... well... it says on it 1860 bridge.
apparently the longest stone span bridge around. [single span brick bridge in the world]
It's quite beautiful. Its quite long. Its quite behind me.
Driving backwards right now. Shouldn't do that.
So we've arrived at Mountsorrel. Yes. Not a particularly long cruise. Maybe three hours.
Yeah, three, three and a half maybe.
So first of all, how was the big reverse to the water point and Loughborough basin?
The big reverse to the water point was fine. It wasn't supposed to be a big reverse though.
No, it wasn't suppose to be.... I was suppose to just reverse through the little junction, erm, bridge there.
And then as I was backing out, the wind caught me and pushed me, so I was like,
Well I may as well just commit and back up. Because otherwise I'm going to have to do, like a five point turn.
I may as well just commit to it, and let this thing push, me and then I'll back all the way up
And that wasn't really hard at all. Once I actually got moving.
In fact I made it a little bit easier against the wind I think.
Disappointingly the facilities at the Loughborough Basin didn't include recycling.
So we've been carrying our recycling since Fradley Junction, I believe was the last time we managed to do any recycling.
And it's just a bit disappointing because...
If you live in a house you get to recycle everything, you get plastics, glass, metal, clothing, food,
yard trimmings, Yeah, garden waste!
And on a Narrowboat, it seems that, unless you really go out of your way, or carry your recycling for weeks on end.
It's all going to end up in the general waste and in landfill.
Which doesn't make any sense. Because there was also a waste point in Barrow on Soar
And I walked round there and they just had a massive skip but no recycling.
And the other thing is... there is so much plastic floating around in the canal.
And if boaters all picked up whatever plastic they found it would like make a really big impact.
But then where'd you put it when you pull it out because there's no recycling
Because you can only put so much on the bow
Our recycling box is full inside and we've started a sack out here full of recycling.
There was nothing since Fradley, we've been all the way up and down the Erewash.
It's something i've always been aware of since we've been aboard. It is a really big problem.
and I can't understand why boaters aren't encouraged to recycle more.
And my worry is that not all boaters carry it, I'm sure some do, but we do
see recyclable stuff in the general waste bins. Oh yeah all the time.
So anyway, let us know what you think about it.
I walked all the way from Loughborough which is about five and a half miles, so George was loving life.
Although I did keep him on the lead for most of it because there is lots of little chickies about and I'm sure he would like one for breakfast.
And then we went under the 1680 bridge or the 1860 bridge. What is it? There's a big difference between those two.
I know! 1860! And what is it? The...
Its the longest stone bridge span apparently in the world. [Single span brick bridge] It was quite impressive.
And my plan was to run ahead so I could get a nice shot of Michael going in it.
And the river kind of curves, so I thought if I run through the field rather than running round the edge of the field
where the path is. Got half way across and I was ankle deep in mud.
Did you scream by the way. No. Because I heard this loud squeal.
And I'm like... what was that? I may have shouted at George. I was ankle deep. He was, like, shoulder deep in it.
Ah, okay. I mean, cause, it was a loud squeal and I thought something had gone off in the engine,
and then I looked over and you're sort of stomping backwards, and I was just like...
I was squelching. My feet are soaking wet now, my socks are gonna be black. It was it was a silly move.
And, we're meeting up with some viewers tonight for... Well they're not viewers 'cos.. No, no, they're viewers now.
Yeah, but they weren't when we met them. Well they are now... We're meeting up with some people that we met on the Erewash tonight.
We passed an anti aircraft cannon and a guy with four guns pointed out of his... I missed that.
Like, we passed an actual anti aircraft cannon. Like a Bofors 20mm guns sort of thing or a 25mm gun.
And then we come around this long corner and theres a guy with a house thats for sale.
It's got like a little wall outside that looks like it's meant to be a castle, its all painted white.
And it's got four fake cannons pointed out of it. No pirate flags, no nothing but he's got four fake cannons.
Anyway I hope this has all come out because its a little bit windy so sorry if there is some wind.
Okay, anything else? No, I think thats about it. Sorry for the man flu.
Thanks for watching, thumbs up comment, subscribe.
I'd like to be in a video. I'm trying to get you into the video. Like this is my wrong arm for this. Hold on.
Can we have a nicer back drop do you think?
That's better. That's better.
I'm not sure. On Saturday... [bicycle bell] Where's the dog? He's right by my feet.
We're kind of in the way here.
Just lots of driving around and I think we saw our first knob farm
knob lane was it? Anyway one of those. Apparently they farm knobs here.
Hi George! He wants his ball thrown.
And they are all going to be like "Ooh! Coobeastie!!"
Go and do the lock
What? Okay. I'm going to do the lock.
Alright! You're sitting on my hand. Thats better.
What was that noise? That's my man flu. It's my lungs gone all wishy washy.
It's something I've always been aware of since we've been aboard... abroad... aboard.
Abroad aboard. Aboard abroad?
I walked all they way from Loughborough which is about half and a... half and a five mile?
Half and a five mile?
You know... its only because I'm getting older.
okay, thumbs up, comment, subscribe. She just gave me like, a triple look!
you

Here I Am To Worship (Solo Piano Instrumental Worship with Lyrics in CC/Subtitles) - Duration: 4:09.
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
altogether worthy
altogether wonderful to me
King of all days, oh so highly exalted
glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
All for love's sake, became poor
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
I'll never know how much it cost
to see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
to see my sin upon that cross
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

Cinco de Mayo in Italy - Duration: 5:35.
What's up guess, so I haven't really filmed a vlog at all today. Hey hi
I have been editing the vlog from yesterday to post today
for a while now
I've been up since like 9:00 in the morning and now it's 2:45 in the afternoon and I have an editing still
So it is Cinco de Mayo though, and I'm thinking about trying to ride my longboard down to the shop at down the street to
Grab some things for the festivities
Hopefully I don't break my neck, but I got to finish this editing real quick, so give me a minute
Alright so the extent of my skateboarding goes to being like eight years old sitting on it and writing down the
The driveway, so let's see how this goes
All right now gonna put my camera down inside and
Try and do this down to the little store down the street
Because I don't want to break my camera
So I'll be back once I get back from the store
All right, so I made it back alive
Skateboarding on the street is significantly easier than doing it on the tiled sidewalk the thing that we got here
Significantly easier I
still need to work on it though, but
Yeah, we took a little walk down to the shop that everyone else gave word next time I feel more confident with
Yeah, uh-huh I feel more confident with actually holding my camera
Yeah
It was fun now. We're going to
get some steaks marinated start grilling those and
eat them and in the spirit of Cinco de Mayo
All right, so since I don't think you guys want to see more
barbecuing stuff
That's something that Brett's turning his head around
I wanted to share a little fun fact that Nicole shared with me actually and
Cinco de Mayo
was actually
Pushed and became as big as it is through the United States because of beer companies like Dos Equis and Corona
they latched on to it and
Use it as a marketing campaign, and it really took off from there
However there was significance to it
There was a battle that did take place on the 5th of May it wasn't a significant one because Mexico gained their independence in
September I would say 16th
and
So
That's a little fun fact Cinco DeMayo is an American made holiday essentially
Pushed through marketing campaigns for beers not an actual Mexican Independence Day
So that's my fun fact. I guess you could take Saturday not Friday because today's Saturday
But in regards to
yesterday's vlog
Getting kicked out of them all I didn't actually like get in trouble a little backstory behind that so when I wrote in the caption
That says I had to stop filming here
When I was in the mall filming
Two security guards actually walked up to me and what I was looking at was them walking towards me
And they told me that I had to stop filming because I have to have permits
because it's a private privacy rule I
guess in there and I didn't know that obviously and
I thought it was more kinda like the US where you can film in public because it's a public thing
So, that's that's what that
But I didn't actually like getting kicked control we get in trouble
I don't get kicked at least came up and said hey you can't film anymore, and I kind of noticed them
I was walking around for this today that they were keeping a watchful. Eye on me, so I
Didn't want to push my luck and get my stuff take it away or whatever that they're gonna do
so that's the backstory on that I actually have to put a pause on today's vlog because I haven't
Invested in a sorry haven't invested in another battery for my camera so I have to go put this one on the charger
Because I'm running out of battery
Okay, rookie mistake
All right, we're out here
Skateboarding because
Little one wants to skateboard on her skateboard too now that she saw daddy doing it, and she's going on or going on a walk
round two
She can't decide which way she wants to go
I think it's safe to say that this person's parking spot is no more because of a sinkhole
It was righteous, dude
You you
