Smash or Pass with Turkey - Duration: 7:39.Hello, everyone!
and welcome to the game Smash or Pass
challenge with me. TURKEY!
Now I saw this from Engima [Link Below]
And thought I want to try this by myself
And by the way, Prussia, Austria,
I will not smash you back.
So, yeah. I have a bag of names
I'll just pull one out and say whether
I will smash or pass them
Quick and easy.
I'm sorry, guy, if ships are not canon to you.
It's not my idea.
I didn't write these names...
They are from my friend Cyprus.
Russia. [Go away!!]
Pass
I'd pass Russia.
He's okay and all, and no offence, Russia
It's just... you're not my type.
I don't want to get beat up.
Canada
Hmmm
I don't know.
Canada's not smash or pass-able
I'll probably have to see
Ehhhh.... Pass
America
Smash
You'd smash me back.
[Laughter]
Romano
OOOH...
Would you like it if I said Smash?
I don't care, it's my feeling...
I would Smash Romano.
If he's free, of course.
And not to busy with Spain.
We could have a three-sum with Spain.
England
Smash
Yeah... I would Smash England.
Belgium
Belgium'd too cute
I'd date her
But I wouldn't Smash her.
I'd date her...
I don't want to smash someone who's cute.
Norway
Nah..... I'd pass...
I'd pass.......no......
That one's hard
I think I'd Smash..... no I'd pass.
No... Smash
Austria... no. Pass.
Easy Pass.
Cuba
I'd smash Cuba
I wouldn't be ashamed of it too.
Hungary.
Just in spite of Austria, yes, I'd smash Hungry.
Poland. Pass.
Too annoying
I'd smash him...
Over the head... with a brick.
Finland. Too cute. I can't do it.
So cute and innocent. (Like Finnian from Black Butler)
Netherlands.
To be honest, I'd think he would smash me.
I'd date him.
Sweden.
We wouldn't have a decent conversation.
I'd like a decent conversation to go up
To, uh...
Before we'd smash. He's not a good
conversationist. He says three words
Then stops all together.
I'd date him, though.
For a couple days...
Spain... yeah!
I'd totally smash Spain.
China
No...
It be..
I'd be tempted.
But... I
Wouldn't smash him.
Greece.
YES
I'd smash Greece everyday, any day!
I don't care what he says
Japan
Probably...
Probably not.
Kind of depends on the situation to be honest.
Denmark
Yes.
Belarus
She's nice and all...
Yeah. Probably.
I'll see if she wants too first, however.
I wouldn't just go... yeah, I would smash.
Estonia
Yeah
I'd smash Estonia. Russia would smash Estonia.
Estonia would be too scared, though.
Italy.
Pass.
Ukraine. Pass.
Actually...
I'd want too.
I'd be very tempting
I probably would... to be honest.
Yeah.
France.
France is okay.
Not gonna like,
Continue. Maybe one time.

Save for Retirement or Kids' College? Plus Find Out How You Can Make Money From Home - Duration: 16:53.Hale please give this video a thumbs up and if you would share it, that would be awesome and
I'm gonna go ahead and invite my facebook friends now
Hi Kelli here from FreebieFindingMom.com and
I'm just gonna take a few minutes and address the money questions that I've received this week
and as always if you have any other questions
Feel free to leave them in the comments or go ahead and message me on email, but whatever is easiest for you
And I think retaining - really finances and managing your money saving your money
oh, and if you're watching either on youtube or on facebook, please give me a
Please leave a comment. Let me know where you're viewing from. I just like to know where everybody is
is watching from it's it's just fun and
So like I was saying ask any questions you have
Pertaining to your finances whether that is how to manage your money
be it that investing or how to budget your money how to save money and even actually today I'll
Inform you of a way that you can make money from home
Because I tend to get several questions about that and I'm a pretty regular basis about how largely moms can make money from home
So I have an idea
Of something that you can do if it's of interest to you that I'll share with you a little bit later here
But without further ado
I want to go ahead and jump into a couple of the money questions that we've received this past week
The first one came from Anna and Anna one - no. She said they have some extra funds that they managed to
Set aside each month now and she wanted to know if they should be starting to save for their retirement
Or if they should be starting to save for their kids college
so
You know and you guys were so kind you responded back. Yeah, pretty much all in agreement to be honest and
And basically you had said you really need to start saving for retirement first
I know Barbara had mentioned that you should start saving for retirement
Because there's always going to be scholarships and financial aid available for your children for college
great my Barbara because as someone who has a
Lot of financially to put herself through college like loans and I have had France I've had scholarships
I also was a co-op in college, which is if you don't know what that is. It's basically like a paid internship. So
Yes, those are all options that you when your children get to that age when they need to be going to where they're going to
Go to college then there are a lot of different options available to them
So definitely start to say for your retirement first
If you have any additional funds now like Mandy said is she brought up a good point
It's getting harder and harder for people to even retire anymore because of the cost of living so
You know
She brought up that point and quite honestly like she said maybe your children won't even go to college never will go into the military
Maybe they will go into a skilled trade
so, um just you but if you can save for college, that's great and wasn't that mention that um,
Yeah that Charlotte brought up that good point
Like if you can say four colors for your children great
By all me and start it set up a 529 and for them and start saving for college
It's wonderful, but if you can if it's a decision of whether or not to say for college
or to save a retirement hands down start to save for your retirement and
Like I mentioned before Charlotte brought up the great point about you know
We don't really have our children a college education and I someone who did not have a college fund when I went into school
I
Basically, just you make it work and like Charlotte said she also went got her education and went through school and worked and it worked
Out just fine. Now. I'm gonna tell you it's gonna probably be stressful, but it's doable
I did it many many many people do it
and like I said
You'll probably your children will just have to likely do a combination of things
Like they have to they may have to work when they're in school, which I did which is not a bad thing
it's probably a great thing actually and
You know besides working and then getting loans which unfortunately many of us have to get as well
Grants or scholarships are great if you're eligible for any of those
So Anna to answer your question. I think we pretty much all agree
You really should start saving for your retirement
Before you start worrying about your kids college if there is any additional funds after you've saved for your retirement
Then by all means go ahead and put some money away the 529 for your children
and now I would one of the questions I wanted to talk about with Valerie's this week and Valerie made the comment that
She wanted our stiff question. She wanted to know where are the best place to get quality cheap swimsuits and
for kids and
Tricia I mentioned justice for girls since I don't have a girl
I don't I wouldn't know that but I do know that justice has super cute stuff because my friends like that store
For their kids, but Tricia mentioned justice Jacqueline
mentioned Old Navy which is one of them that came to my mind first Ross Marshalls our Burlington and
I mentioned target is another option that you can find cute clothes act and Beth had mentioned Costco has speedos and
Which is a good name brand?
I I've worn it for many years and then Rachel
Mentioned Kohl's which I love too
Especially with when you shop at Kohl's and getting all their coupons and promos and things you can really get great deals at Kohl's on
Name-brand stuff. So hopefully that helped you Valerie's
Places were to go to get quality
inexpensive
Swimsuits for kids and adults to be honest and number the store not just as perhaps but I know Old Navy sometimes has really cute
Suits and Target and Kohl's does so so today. So check those out if that's helpful a
Few other points I wanted to mention about what's going on here at crew be find a mom. The first one is I
Well, don't forget to mention that today the Kroger through Friday downloads
So if you have a Kroger or a Kroger affiliate store near you be sure to grab that download today
I think it's a called amp organic. I want to say it's it's some kind of a drink so grab that coupon today
I'll have another I think at least a couple of weeks to redeem that but be sure to grab that freebie and
Then another item I wanted to mention today is I was able to get my new finance video out called something
it was the best financial decision that I ever made and
I that was a fun video to do because I actually collaborated with a fellow bloggers friend whose name was also Kelly
She blogs over at freedom and a budget. So if
If you haven't checked it out I shared her video here
I believe it was mine morning on the Facebook page
But if you haven't checked it out if you're on YouTube or find my link here in Facebook
Be sure to check out Kelly and freedom in a budget. She's great
She has loads of great videos about money saving tips, and I'm living frugally and getting out of debt
so be sure to check her videos out and
Mine is up and it's live on
YouTube my best financial decision I ever made which
I will go ahead and put a link to that in the bottom of this post as well here on YouTube and on Facebook and
That was one thing I went to mention and then this weekend I'm gonna be taping I'm gonna try to tape it
we've got a busy weekend, but I'm gonna try to tape a video of
How you can save money?
making your own homemade face moisturizer and using essential oils now, I will say I
did some quick calculations for this last weekend and I
started basically
Just breaking out the cost of like buying a standard homemade face a by a standard face moisturizer verse making your own and quite honestly
you can save
Easily over $100 a year and that's not buying like expensive face creams or anything. That's like buying
Stuff at the grocery store at the drugstore now, if you go to one of those fancy stores in the mall to buy
You know your face cream and you would save even more so and actually that brings me to the point
Um, I have a video on how to make your homemade face moisturizer. I will share that down here as well
Just so that you have that as a reference
but what I'm gonna take this weekend is to show you the
Calculations how much exactly you can save by making your own homemade face moisturizer
so, like I said, it was over 100 dollars a year, so
Which brings me to another point is?
If those are using I use essential oils a lot of my DIY Beauty recipes if you follow a freebie finding mauve you'd know that
I loved sharing
homemade
Recipes or like skincare and just beauty recipes and those are just one of the ways as you can use essential oils
if you're not familiar with what essential oils are and
And most people probably are but if you're not familiar with what they are
They're really a way that you can just use them
Like I say a myriad of ways in your life in your family's lives to live healthfully to live more naturally and chemical-free
so a lot of people diffuse the oils in the air like we love diffusing more the centrist citrus scents like
Lemon is one of my favorites
Grapefruit, we really like to and having said that you can you can also use them topically and I last why I like these DIY
Beauty recipes I've got so many of them on the blog. It's not even funny
I mean if you go to free be finding moms calm and go to the DIY section
There should be a drop down for anything like homemade beauty products or for my Beauty recipes and in there you'll see
Just so many I'm probably over I bet I have about 50 by now and I still make them all the time actually. So, um
that is
One thing I'm going to be doing more of and I think it'll probably be sharing more recipes on how to make your own homemade
cleaners using essential oils too because what I think people don't realize is that you can see so much money using essential oils and
Which is why I am bringing them to young livings line
Anyways to you guys Young Living Essential Oils has been around for over
27 years a lot of people use them and love them and I think it'd be a good fit for you guys since
We're frugal and we'd like to have great products
But also save money doing it so lat which brings me to another item is last night. I had fun
We I taped a Facebook live video with my friend Stephanie and I here on youtube if you're watching on YouTube
I did share that video here on YouTube as well
But if the Facebook live with my friend Stephanie who's been selling Young Living Essential Oils for several years now
but
Basically, I wanted to kind of just give you kind of an overview of like how you can get started either using and or selling
Young Living Essential Oils, no mind you when a lot of people buy what they call this Young Living premium starter kit
Most people never sell them
But I wanted to mention it on the video because I thought it was important because I get so much feedback from you guys
that you want ways that you can make money from home and so once I learned like with Young Living Essential Oils
how I guess how easy it is for moms, and I mean for everybody but especially for moms you have limited time and
Need something that works and that they can actually you know
Get behind me passionate about and that they can make money for their family. I thought I got to mention it to you guys
So that's why we did the Facebook live last night. We'll do some more videos over time
Probably in the next week or so. I'll just try to more informative educational videos about essential oils and
But I'd love like I said use them for homemade beauty recipes that you can use them in cleaners
Like I said, you can use them gosh, like I say it's for healing and like to be honest
And I probably should mention the supposed to be honest
If you follow me on Instagram
You know this past week that I wiped out on a treadmill like full-on flew off the back the treadmill
so I used lavender essential oil to
To help the scrapes on my knee. I'll spare you from showing you what they look like
but um, they were really gross and now they're healing and that's the only thing I'm use on them is lavender essential oil, so
So anyway, so I use them that way too
So I diffuse them I use them for kind of cuts and scrapes and I've used them on cold sores before correct
That's what I usually use them on is a cold sore
I use them for DIY beauty recipes one of my favorite beauty recipes
Which I've actually done in YouTube that you want before is for a microdermabrasion paste recipe it is
so simple to make and I kid you not if it honestly may it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth and
so, um, so I encourage you if it's something that you have an interest in and you think you know,
You would like to explore being able to save money for your family
But and still live naturally
chemical-free
and then I encourage you look into Young Living Essential Oils whether it just to be to pick up a kit or whether just to
To sell them even potentially and just I don't talk too much about the selling aspect. You can watch the face book life
I thought that I taped last night, but if you're interested in in doing that
You would essentially be a member on my team and I would be the one helping you grow your team
selling in Living Essential Oils, but so that's that and then a 1-dimensional another thing is
Young Living Essential Oils now actually has an all-natural mineral makeup line, which I use and
Love and it's called savvy minerals if that's of something of interest to you. Message me or leave a comment on here
I'd be happy to give you more information about it. I love that line. I'll tell you why because I
I have only always only worn mineral makeup because
more information that you need but in high school, I had horrible bad acne, which is why I have like
crater sized pores today
but that's why I've never worn like the liquid foundations and stuff as I just felt it was like very clogging into my skin and
So that's why when I found out that Young Living was coming out with savvy minerals, which is a mineral makeup line
I was like, yes, finally because I
I was using the other kind of popular mineral makeup lines that I'm sure you probably know what those are
And they were working fine
But I love the fact that as savvy minerals has come out with a makeup line where the product is actually good for your skin
Because that's why the reason I don't like to wear a lot of makeup because that's like I don't want to irritate my skin
I don't aggravate it. I
It's just I just don't want that on top of my skin and like it feels like a blanket on my skin
I never held that way with savvier minerals. And actually the makeup is actually good for your skin. And so I think it's great
It's great for anybody
But especially if you have like a young girl who's starting to wear makeup?
I if I had a daughter that's exactly what I would use be savvy minerals on her because I feel like
Why not stress about what this stuff is actually good for your skin
It's not gonna irritate it especially if they have any like problem areas and their skin
I just I really like savvy minerals and so you can check out that line
They also have a Savi mineral starter kit that you can get and if you're interested in selling those you can sell
Saghini minerals as well. So that's just a I mentioned that because I like the products
I think you guys might as well and
Also because I get feedback from you guys asking how can I make money from home either?
I want to quit my job and stay home with my kids or am already mom
And you know, we've had discussions about this here on on our lives
It's just I want to be able to do some things that my husband won't either let me
Or I feel guilty spending the money or someone like that
So I love opportunities like this where it can empower you to feel like
You can bring in some money into the family and do with it. What you feel is what you want to do with it
So I just I don't know. I love empowering women for that reason, too
So that I think I touched on everything I touched on the kroger free Friday download me address those two questions
I talked about a new video coming out
and Also, I'll put a link down below for the video that I just put out this past week with in collaboration with Kelly. Akin
Freedom in a budget and oh one last thing if you do have any interest in essential oils
Learning about Young Living or and that whether you want to sell it or not
or whether you just want to get a kit or you just are curious about that and
Any of those are applicable you are more than welcome to join my new
Facebook group which is called oily friends. My son actually came up with the name
We came up with a few random names before he got down to oily friends, but he did get eventually down the oily friends
I was like, oh that's cute. I like that Ian
So, um, so my new facebook group called oily friends and in there
I'll share more tutorials more information about essential oils. And if you're interested in making a business or if you're just interested in using them
Or if you know if somebody who might be you're more than welcome to share this group with them and they can join
So I'll put the link for my new Facebook group also
down below here, so you can go ahead and join that if that's of interest to you and
Without further ado. It's really beautiful outside today. So I don't want to take up too much of your time
I hope it's really nice where you are as well. You have something fun planned with your family and friends as
Always please leave any money questions you have in the comments. I always come back and check them throughout the week back
I checked them at least once a day
So I will get to those even if you leave a comment three days from when I'm when I'm taping this it doesn't matter
I'll come back and get it. I promise and
Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned and thank you so much for taking a few minutes to watch this. Bye. Bye

Chiosco Pizza Kitchen it's located in the porter downtown and we're gonna go
behind the scenes and see how they make all their delicious pizza but you
approach it from the outside so we're gonna show you all of that but you get
your pizza through basically a kiosk which is what it's named after correct
and basically you're serving people pizza
exactly it's our walk-up Pizza window you know slide open the window grab a
fresh slice trout it's something to drink
beer wine so it's most so good on the outside I'm sure lots of people just
like stumble by an early oh my goodness yeah the bench like down the road yeah
it's awesome so I love to learn a little bit more about you
how you came to work and then if it's a-- the kitchen what is your history
with cooking pizza I've been cooking pizza I mean I think
everybody does whether it's from the frozen when you finally get enough to
make their own I'm sure you've tried a bunch of different keep the topic we're
announcing wrong because I I lost a bet earlier with my husband he is Italian
and I told them it was pronounced one way and so it's program sorry about that
but so what would you say is like your favorite type of pizza
but science ours I mean they're really good talking-to and it's really simple
but there's some really good pizza around town two different toppings
different styles bro I just like it simple I don't like it overcrowded and
it's just got believers and I know that you guys use some Oregon
Mount Tabor's has hazelnuts on pizza do you have any other tributes to
Portland Oregon or we just try to use anything local that we can whether it's
local meats or local cheese's like the Oregon go speedy Jack's we try to stay
we're gonna go behind the scenes and see how you're making all the delicious easy
so do you make the dough first thing wait what we do is we make it and we let
it ferment for about four days so it gives you the good chew it gives it
starts to break down a little bit so you get a good crisscross you get it get you
to it our style is Romano style which is
rectangular and fashioned instead of your traditional round if you go to
Italy a lot of the times it's so lightweight instead of by slice so
you'll go and get a wedge of it but after four days of fermenting we
weigh it out roll it out the margarita pizza is traditional but exceptional it
has a delicious homemade red sauce that is so bright and cheery you can tell
that the tomatoes are seriously fresh the mozzarella is melted graciously on
top of really red tomatoes and of course it's sprinkled with some basil our
version of the margarita
and we cook our marinara for about 10 hours take all the beer father soft and
softened it up all carrots onions and celery garlic lots of garlic and then
some of our san marzano tomatoes
and then we just let cooking so again it's a little bit of sweet
sweetness to it still out on the water on events but we don't want it to be too
pasty it looks like a delicious bright red yeah it almost tastes tomato by
looking at it yep no it's great a little bit of salt pepper
and this piece will only improve as the tomatoes and Fuhrman
so fresh mozzarella we're just gonna pick apart
which again just got it you don't want to overcrowd keep it simple
sprinkled around
let's set it 500 degrees
yes
minutes
this time it takes about six minutes
the way on white pizza has Yukon Gold potatoes roasted garlic and Parmesan
Reggiano it is baked and the potatoes get so creamy and the sauce it's really
delicious well it's been a delicious day at Chiosco
pizza kitchen at the porter hotel hilton in downtown Portland thanks so much for
joining me on this delicious pizza journey when you're in downtown Portland
don't forget to stop by and make sure to subscribe to the sip Bite go channel on

Are You Self-Confident or God Confident? - Ask Pastor Tim - Duration: 10:09."Dear pastor, I've watched one of your videos
where you taught the importance
of remaining humble
while living the Christian life.
The problem I encounter
is that when I understand
that everything I have is from Christ
and for Christ,
when I accomplish something at my job
which demonstrates my skills, for example,
I kind of gain self-confidence,
which is partially relying on myself.
Can this lead to pride?
Or how much relying on God is enough?
Because certainly, there is an effort
that we have to put in
during our jobs,
and should we even have self-confidence
in some situations?"
You kind of get the feeling.
You have a guy that's asking himself this:
Is it right for me to feel self-confidence
or to have my self-confidence -
even that word: self-confidence.
"The problem I encounter
is that when I understand that everything I have
is from Christ and for Christ,
when accomplishing something at my job,
which demonstrates my skills,
I find that I basically am becoming self-confident,
which is partially relying on yourself."
Now again, just because people say things in these letters
doesn't mean that I accept what they say.
For one thing, self-confidence
is not partially relying on yourself.
It's fully relying on yourself.
That's what self-confidence is.
The second thing I would say is this:
He says "the problem I encounter
is that when I understand
that everything I have is from Christ..."
He still goes on to have this self-confidence,
which I would say means
he doesn't really understand
that everything is from Christ.
You can say, "I understand it,"
but then the next thing you say shows
that you don't understand it.
And I would say this,
that let's just think about Scripture here.
Because there are numerous verses.
Let me throw it to you guys.
What are some Scriptures
that basically indicate to us
that it's not of us, it's of the Lord,
no matter what we do?
(from the room) Philippians 4:13.
Tim: Which says?
(from the room) I can do all things
through Christ who empowers me,
strengthens me.
Tim: Right. I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me.
And what's implied there? The opposite,
which, by the way, Jesus says in John 15.
"Without Me, you can do nothing."
Does that mean I can do absolutely nothing?
Look, the reality is, without the Lord,
you can't do anything.
John the Baptist said something in John 3.
Anybody remember that one?
Kevin, can you quote that?
(unintelligible)
Tim: Say it again.
Kevin: A man can only receive
what is given him from heaven.
Tim: "A person cannot receive even one thing
unless it's given him from heaven."
I would say this,
what jumped out at me as I'm thinking about this
is a text found in Romans 1.
Let's turn there to that.
Romans 1.
We know, if we're familiar with Romans
that Romans 1:18 begins to show us
the terrible plight of fallen man.
Somebody begin reading in 1:18.
(from the room)
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men
who suppress the truth in unrighteousness."
Tim: So they're unrighteous. They're ungodly.
They suppress the truth that can be known about God.
(from the room) "Because what may be known of God
is manifest in them;
for God has shown it to them."
Tim: All men have no excuse.
(incomplete thought)
There is more revelation in this world
than just our Bibles.
There is natural revelation.
God has revealed Himself.
Romans 1 says that God can be known -
certain aspects of God;
certain aspects of His attributes and His power
can be known by the things that are created.
But keep reading.
(from the room)
"For since the creation of the world,
His invisible attributes are clearly seen
being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead
so that they are without excuse."
Tim: Right. We see enough of God in the creation
so that every man is without excuse.
Now keep reading.
(from the room) "Because although they knew God,
they did not glorify Him as God
nor were thankful, but became futile..."
Tim: Okay, stop right there.
You see what happens?
They recognize that there's a God.
This guy recognizes there's a God.
But then they don't give glory to God.
And they don't give Him thanks.
What's amazing is we're hearing
the reasons as to why the wrath of God
is being displayed and poured out.
Why?
Because men seek to suppress God,
and they don't give Him thanks.
You know what happened to Nebuchednezzar
when he said, "Oh, great Babylon,
look what I've done!"
God doesn't take kindly to that.
God's wrath is displayed because men
don't attribute what they have to God.
Listen, the Apostle Paul says this:
I outran all the other disciples.
Do you know what?
If you do well at work,
you don't ignore that,
but you don't look at yourself
and take credit for it.
What Paul said is that
I am a better apostle than all the rest,
but it wasn't me,
it was the grace of God at work in me.
And he says to the Corinthians,
he says why do you boast
as if what you have, you didn't receive?
You see, that's the thing.
On the one hand, we don't want to ignore
what we do well.
Why?
Because then, you're not giving God due honor.
Look, every good gift, every perfect gift is from God.
It comes down from above,
from the Father of lights.
He gives.
You don't have a single thing.
Remember Moses?
He said, "Lord, I cannot speak for You.
I am not eloquent."
You remember what God said to him?
God said to him,
"Moses, I make the mouth."
What does He say after that?
Something about seeing,
and what does He say?
Kevin, you got that one down?
Kevin: Not word for word, but that's basically it.
Tim: Right, but that's the reality.
Do you know what?
If you do well with math
or you do well in computer science
or you do well in whatever this guy does,
the thing isn't to sit there and say,
oh, great Babylon, look what I've done.
Oh, great computer science program!
Look what I did!
Now look,
what you want to feel is confidence in the Lord.
I'm confident that God has made me good in this,
and He helps me when I do it.
And He has a way of keeping on
reminding us
because we have a tendency
to self-confidence.
It's like that natural man,
you can say: "Oh, we're new men!"
Yeah, we're new men.
We carry about the flesh.
And there is still a tendency for us
to love independence.
One of the great idols
that God has to break in every one of us
is self-sufficiency when He saves us.
But you can be good at something,
like Paul was good at being an apostle.
You can even say, "I'm the best" if it's true.
See, you don't want to deny that
because that's what God's doing.
We want to declare God's works.
But you don't want to do it in a way that's proud.
Proud means you're lifting yourself up.
You want to do it in a way
that you recognize:
I am what I am by the grace of God.
So, anything anybody want to add to that one?

Are millennials lazy whiners or victims of circumstance? | Michael Hobbes - Duration: 9:58.So, there are three things that every millennial should know.
The first one is that there is no evidence for any of the stereotypes about us.
If you look at entitlement, if you look at selfishness, if you look at public opinion
polling there's as much evidence that we're "worse than our parents" as there is that
we are werewolves: There is none.
Whereas there's a mountain of evidence that things are harder for our generation than
they were for our parents or our grandparents, and that it's getting worse.
So how many articles have you read about how more millennials are living with their parents
now than ever?
There are twice as many millennials living on their own—making less than $30,000 a
year—than there are millennials living with their parents.
We don't read any articles about that.
So what we need to do is acknowledge that all of these stereotypes come from anecdotes,
that they are older people who have seen a millennial on a skateboard or have had an
intern who was a young person who they didn't like very much and have decided that that
is representative of an entire generation, and we need to resist that.
It wasn't always like this.
When my dad bought his first house he was 29, living in Seattle; he was a university
professor and his house cost 18 months of his salary.
Now, if you're a young person living in a big city you know that that is science fiction.
In the vast majority of America, especially in cities, it will cost you six, seven, ten,
12 years of the median salary to buy the median home.
So this idea that we're different from our parents because WE have changed is completely
false.
What has happened is the economy has profoundly shifted underneath us.
Housing, healthcare and education are all three times more expensive now than they were
in 1968.
Those are the prerequisites of a middle class adulthood, of a secure adulthood, a real life,
and our parents like to point out that things like refrigerators and TVs are a lot cheaper—and
they are, that's great—but the things we actually need in our lives are much more
expensive, and our wages have not kept up.
So, one of the things that we forget, and especially our parents forget, is how much
cheaper college used to be.
When my dad was in college he worked for ten hours a week in the cafeteria, and that was
enough for his tuition and a little bit of his rent.
That doesn't sound familiar to anybody I know.
And what has happened since then is the cost of education has gone up between 400 and 1200
percent, depending on the kind of school you go to.
Meanwhile, minimum wages haven't really budged, general wages haven't really budged,
and the price of everything else has gotten higher too.
So in the early '70s it took around 300 hours of minimum wage work to afford a four
year education.
By the 2000s it took 4,400 hours of minimum wage work to afford a four year education.
So tell your parents that next Thanksgiving when they complain to you about not going
to college.
I think there's a tendency when we talk about millennials, and especially when we
talk about poor millennials, to talk about our choices rather than our options.
So again, the evidence—like did my grandparents know what their pension was when they were
25?
I don't think they did.
I think that by the time they checked they had one, whereas this generation gets blamed
for not saving more for retirement.
The reason why that's considered a huge problem is because there's no such thing
as the defined benefit pension anymore.
A lot of our grandparents have a situation where they get 80 percent of their last salary
for the rest of their lives.
That is nonexistent for our generation.
So we are now being given the responsibility of saving up to compensate for the fact that
the economy doesn't take care of us anymore.
We're being blamed for the fact that we can't take care of ourselves.
But what have wages done since 1980?
They've been flat.
What has happened to the cost of everything?
It's gone up.
So we are being asked to reverse this, to counteract this ourselves when we have less
secure work, less in savings, we're paying more for housing and we're paying off our
student loans.
And I'm sure that there are irresponsible millennials on planet earth, I don't think
that they should be getting the bulk of the attention or the prioritization when we talk
about what's really happening with young people.
What we have is a crisis where, to get onto the job ladder—the few decent jobs left
that have healthcare, that have security, that have a pension—they all require a college
degree, so you have to go to college, basically.
The college premium, how much extra you earn for going to college, is 70 percent.
You earn almost double if you go to college, on average, than if you don't go to college.
So we're in this bind where you have to go to college or else you end up in a really
bad job for the rest of your life, but then to go to college you have to go into $80,000,
$100,000, more than that in debt.
I interviewed somebody for the article that is paying off $311,000 in debt.
I interviewed another person who is actually a bankruptcy lawyer who was paying $2000 a
month in student loans after he got out of college.
And so when you look at how many of us have student loans and that we're paying them
off at the time when we're early in our careers, we're not as established in our
fields, we can't afford decent housing, we aren't earning very much at that time,
and then we're also on top of that paying a couple hundred dollars a month extra—that's
money we're not saving, that's money we're not putting to a pension, that's money we're
not putting to a home—and that extends the period of what our parents call "adolescence",
but really insecurity—that extends our period of insecurity into our 30s and our 40s.
And so if you look at any poll of millennials, more than half say they have put off marriage,
they have put off children, they have put off buying a home because of their student
loans.
And student loans are the only form of debt that you cannot get rid of in bankruptcy,
so they are literally in escapable.
Even if you die, in some states your partner might actually have to pay them off for you.
So this is a ball and chain around the ankle of millions of millennials, and again, it's
not a choice that we made, it's the economy that we're in, that to get onto the job
ladder you need to have an education.
And yet that thing that you need has gotten more and more expensive and, again, we are
being blamed for going to college and majoring in ancient Greek or something when we should
have done STEM, but STEM degrees cost more.
I think it's important to know that everything that's been done to us has been done to
us in broad daylight, which means that we can roll it back.
That's the only good news I'm going to give you.
Everything about our wages and our housing costs and financialization and the safety
net, these are specific laws that have been passed.
Other countries have not done this.
So we can actually look into fixing all of these things.
I think as a generation we are finally aging into power, and when we take power we need
to not make the same mistakes that our parents' generation did.
We need to create an equitable country where even the bottom is pretty well off, where
we don't have this "personal responsibility" narrative, where "if you're poor it's
your fault, and if your schools were bad it's because you're dumb".
We need to end all of that.
We need to be a moral society that has a basic floor underneath every person, a level of
dignity beneath which we don't allow people to fall.
That's not too much to ask.
That's what many other countries have done as they've become more prosperous.
We're the only ones that has not had that project and has deliberately rolled ours back.
So it's really important as we age into power to not think that we need to start everything
from scratch.
You hear a lot now about fancy new policy ideas, and we have a lot of systems in place.
Food stamps are not broken; the eligibility for food stamps is cruel and you cannot spend
food stamps on a sandwich.
That is bullshit.
We need to fix that.
We don't need to start with a whole new structure that is going to be an excuse for
people to cut overall spending.
Other countries have just gone through this recently where they've said, "Oh we just
want to make it easier to get welfare," and they use it as an excuse to give away
less.
What we need to do is we need to tax the rich and we need to spend it on public services.
We oftentimes gets distracted by shiny objects I think, especially on the left, but things
like public education—let's pay teachers more, let's have smaller class sizes, let's
give principles control over their own schools, let's tax the rich to pay for it.
That's fine.
Homelessness: let's build houses for people.
Let's keep people from getting evicted from their homes.
Let's allow cities to build homes when people move there.
Let's tax the rich to pay for it.
There's lots of things that we can do that we already have, but we've systematically
defunded them.
You hear a lot of things about Hyperloop now and autonomous cars.
There's also this thing called "trains and buses" that we have not funded adequately
for 30 to 40 years now.
Let's fund lots of trains and lots of buses and tax the rich to pay for it.
It's not that there's not enough money, it never was; that's absurd.
There is enough money, but it's being distributed to places where it doesn't need to be going,
and we need to start to roll that back and that has to be our, unfortunately, generational
project, is reversing everything that our parents had done to us.
It's really not that hard.
I think there's this sense that we're going to come up with some magical policy
idea that's going to make this easy.
It's not going to be easy.
We don't necessarily have to come up with some fancy new idea that's going to build
a consensus, we just have to win.
We are on the cusp of outnumbering older generations, we need to take our political power and use
it to create an equitable country, the kind that we wish we grew up in.

Recover Lost or Forgotten Website Passwords in Google Chrome - Duration: 2:29.how he do it here with another tips and tricks video in tonight's video we're
gonna talk about recovering your password on websites where you lost your
password so this works if you're using Google Chrome and you use Google Chrome
to save your passwords what I found out recently was I had signed up for a
website I gone to go to the website and I had had the password saved in my
browser in the autocomplete but I did not know what my password was because I
didn't write it down so the problem is is if you want to update your passwords
you have to know the old password so I found this little trick that makes it
pretty easy so what you do is you go to your Chrome settings passwords and forms
I'll leave the link down below hit enter okay so now we're going to now that
we're on settings passwords and forms we're gonna hit manage passwords here's
the magic so you see all of these websites and if I hit the eyeball it
will actually show my password so the cool part now what it will do is will
make you authenticate with your Windows password so let's go ahead and do it for
all those shoes so I'm gonna hit the eyeball and it's gonna make me put in my
windows password and then it's gonna show my aldo shoes comm is shoes 2018 of
course that's not actually my password because I'll change it but you get the
idea so using the Google Chrome forms and settings you can actually recover
lost website passwords as long as they're saved in your browser so with
that being said I hope you enjoyed the video
this is how we do it

Obama to Democrats: "Do not wait for the perfect message" or "tingle in your spine" to vote - Duration: 3:36.At a Democratic National Committee fundraiser Thursday night, former President Obama had two messages for Democrats -- the first about the stark differences between his vision and his successor's, and the second about how to approach the midterm elections
"You are right to be concerned," he said in a conversation with DNC Chairman Tom Perez, according to the Los Angeles Times
At a small fundraiser for about 200 in Los Angeles, Mr. Obama articulated a view about the differences between him and President Trump that was likely already held by the Democratic donors in the room: "There's the story that is based largely on fear," he said, "and there is a story based largely in hope
There's the story that says we're in it together, and there's the story that says there's an us and a them
" Obama did not mention Mr. Trump by name, according to the Los Angeles Times
He said he doesn't think Americans want a "dog-eat-dog world where everybody is angry all the time," and he also suggested that Democrats have it within their power to effect a change
"The simple message right now is that if people participate and they vote, then this democracy works
"The former president also warned the donors against complacency
"I would caution us from extrapolating too much from a bunch of special elections and starting to think that, 'OK, this will take care of itself
' Because it won't," he said, going on to note the power fear has to motivate voters
"Vote, participate, get involved," he advised, even if the message and the messenger aren't perfect, and even if there's no "tingle in your spine" and "you're expecting politicians to be so inspiring and poetic and moving
" "Politics, like life, is imperfect. But there is better and there is worse," he said
According to the L.A. Times, tickets for the fundraiser started at $2,700 to attend the discussion between Obama and Perez and see a musical performance by Christina Aguilera
Donors paying $100,000 received five dinner tickets, a photo with Mr
Obama, and membership to the DNC finance committee.KQED's Marisa Lagos, in San Francisco, where the former president will be attending another fundraiser Friday, told CBSN in a "Local Matters" segment that she spoke with Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer, who also stressed the importance of turnout and said Democrats should focus on people who agree with them but maybe haven't been excited enough to show up at the polls
Lagos characterized Pfeiffer's guidance to Democrats: "If we think that what Trump is doing on the border is illegal or immoral, we need to say that
But we also need to add to the end of that sentence. . We also need to protect health care, we also need to protect the environment
" "They need to be careful to not to let him lead every conversation," she added
In the Bay Area, Mr. Obama will be appearing Friday with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California and Rep
Anna Eshoo, D-California.

WHAT CAME OF THE THIRD SPECIAL SESSION.
WELL, THEY OFFICIALLY ENDED THE FISCAL CLIFF DISCUSSION.
THEY PASSED THE SALES TAX RENEWAL BILL WHICH RENEWS ARE
.45% SALES TAX OF THE EXPIRING 1%.
THEY RAISED $463 MILLION FOR THE BUDGET THAT STARTS IN JULY SO
THAT WAS ENOUGH MONEY TO STOP CUTS FOR COLLEGE CAMPUSES AND
MAKE SURE HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS ARE PROTECTED.
PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING STAYS ON A FAIRLY EVEN KEEL WITHOUT VERY
DAMAGING CUTS TO ANYTHING. SO THEY ACCOMPLISHED -- THEY
ACCOMPLISHED THE BIG GOAL. SO CRISIS AVERTED.
CORRECT. AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS TERM
THERE WAS A LOT OF TALK ABOUT TAX REFORM, GETTING RID OF
EXEMPTIONS. LOWERING THE RATE?
WHERE ARE WE WITH THAT. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED.
THEY PUSHED THEMSELVES SO CLOSE TO CRISIS AND SO CLOSE TO
DAMAGING CUTS OR THROES WHAT MOST PEOPLE SEEM TO AGREE WOULD
BE DAMAGING CUTS BUT THEY PUSHED THEMSELVES SO CLOSE TO THAT,
THAT REALLY ALL THEY ARE THAT LEFT WITH WAS THE SALES TAX
BECAUSE THE SALES TAX IS THE ONLY THING CAN GENERATE MONEY
HAVING IN A FISCAL YEAR. THEY TALKED ABOUT IT A LOT BUT
THE HOUSE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP AND THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE DID
NOT AGREE ON WHAT TAX REFORM WOULD LOOK LIKE AND THE HOUSE
REPUBLICANS BLOCKED ANY BILL THAT WAS PEGGED TO THE NOTION OF
THE TAX REFORM SO IT'S A CONVERSATION FOR ANOTHER DAY.
THERE'S DIFFERENT WAYS IN THE WAY STATE COLLECTS TAXES FROM
INCOME FROM SALES TO INVENTORY TAX, LOTS OF DIFFERENT THINGS.
SALES TAX IN PARTICULAR MIGHT HAVE SOME MOMENTUM BEHIND IT
GIVEN THE SUPREME COURT DECISION ABOUT INTERNET SALES TAX.
IS THERE ANY APPETITE FOR MASSAGING SOME OF THE SALES TAX
DETAIL MIINITIALA IN 20 -- MINUTIA GIVEN IT'S A
FISCAL SESSION? WELL, I THINK YOU'LL SEE A
LOT OF PEOPLE COMING UP WITH IDEAS BECAUSE IT'S A FISCAL
SESSION BUT I QUESTION WHETHER THEY'LL DO ANY SUBSTANTIVE IN
THE ELECTION YEAR. ALL THE LEGISLATIVE SEATS ARE UP
AND I JUST QUESTION IF ANYBODY IS GOING TO REALLY WANT TO
REJIGER ANYTHING MAJOR WHEN THEY'RE ALL GOING ON A BALLOT
WHEN THEY'RE RUNNING FOR SOMETHING PRESUMABLY AND ALSO
THEY'VE BEEN FIGHTING ABOUT THIS FOR 3 YEARS RUNNING SO MAYBE
EVERYBODY WANTS TO TAKE A BREATHER.
I THINK PEOPLE WILL FILE SOME LEGISLATION.
I'M JUST SKEPTICAL ABOUT WHETHER I THINK THERE WILL BE A LOT OF
MOMENTUM BEHIND IT. WHEN THE GOVERNOR WAS ASKED
ABOUT TAX REFORM HE SAYS HE STILL WANTS TO PURSUE IT BUT
WHEN REPORTERS PRESSED UM ON A TIMELINE OR HOW TO APPROACH IT
HE WAS VERY SQUISHY ON KIND OF WHAT THE BROADER PARAMETERS
WOULD BE IN. WE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT THIS
FOR 3 YEARS. THERE'S A REPORT THAT ALL THE
WAYS YOU COULD MAKE A TAX STRUCTURE FAIR AND MORE IN LINE
WITH OTHER STATES AND JUST GENERAL WHAT IS CONSIDERED
BETTER TAX POLICY FROM TAX ECONOMISTS AND FISCAL EXPERTS
AND THEY HAVE ALL THAT AND THEY DID NOTHING WITH IT.
SO I GUESS I'M LOOKING FOR WHAT LAWMAKERS GOT OUT OF THE
LAST 3 YEARS, YOU KNOW, WE HAD A LOT OF DISCUSSION ABOUT THIS
STUFF AND WE ENDED UP DOING WHAT WE NEEDED TO PREVENT THE BUDGET
CLIFF BUT WHAT DID WE LEARN OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS?
I'M NOT SURE, HONESTLY. I MEAN, I THINK PEOPLE HAVE VERY
DIFFERING VIEWS ABOUT WHAT TAX REFORM MEANS TO THEM.
I THINK SOME PEOPLE SEE IT AS A WAY TO JUST IMPROVE THE TAX
STRUCTURE. WHATEVER THAT MEANS IN THEIR
MINDS. SOME OF THEM SEE IT AS A WAY TO
REWRITE THE TAX CODE MAYBE TO LESSEN TAXES ON OTHER PEOPLE.
SOME PEOPLE SEE IT AS A WAY TO RAISE REVENUE AND THERE'S SO
MANY COMPETING VISIONS OF WHAT TAX REFORM SHOULD WILL LOOK LIKE
AND THINGS ARE SO PARTISAN AND FRACTIOUS.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY GOT OUT OF THE LAST 3 YEARS A LOT OF
FRUSTRATION AND ANGST WITH CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THEM.
TAX REFORM DISCUSSIONS IS GOING TO BUT 2021 WILL BE A MORE
REALISTIC YEAR WHEN PEOPLE HAVE SPENT A LITTLE MORE TIME ON IT
AND THEY WON'T BE IN THE CRUSH OF AN ELECTION CYCLE AND SO
PERHAPS BY GIVING THEMSELVES SOME FINANCIAL STABILITY AND
WITH THE ONLINE SALES TAX REVENUE THAT MAY BE COMING IN
ALTHOUGH WE DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW MUCH THAT COULD BE, THAT
COULD GIVE THEM A LITTLE BIT MORE SPACE TO HAVE A
CONVERSATION ABOUT WHAT THE STATE'S TAX STRUCTURE SHOULD
LOOKS LIKE LONG-TERM. THANKS FOR JOINING US.
IF YOU ALISTENED TO LOUISIANA MUSIC YOU PROBABLY HAVE AN
INKLING HOW IMPORTANT THE ACCORDION IS IMPORTANT TO THE

THE HISTORY OF THE INSTRUMENT BEFORE.

WORLD WAR II IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO FIND NEW GERMAN ACCORDIONS OR

BRING THE INSTRUMENTS BACK. MARK WAS WITH SOME.
LPD INTERVIEWED HIM IN 1981. ♪♪
I'VE BEEN PLAYING THE ACCORDION SINCE I WAS 12 YEARS
OLD AND EVER I CAN REMEMBER MY FATHER LOVED CAJUN MUSIC.
EVER SINCE I COULD REMEMBER WE HAD THESE NEIGHBORS WHERE ALL
OUR NEIGHBORS ARE MUSICIANS AND EVERY CHRISTMAS HE WOULD INVITE
THESE MEN PLAY TOGETHER. WHY I WANTED TO DO WITH OTHER
KIDS I LOVED WATCHING THESE GUYS PLAY MUSIC.
I KEPT HEARING THESE TUNES IN MY MIND AND WHEN I WAS EVEN YOUNGER
THAN THAT, ONE DAY MY FATHER BROUGHT ME TO HIS FATHER'S
HOUSE, IN FACT, THE HOUSE I LIVE IN NOW IS MY GRANDFATHER'S HOUSE
AND HE TOLD HIS FATHER, GO AND GET YOUR FIDDLE AND PLAY A TUNE
SO MY GRANDFATHER WENT IN AND BROUGHT OUT A BOX AND I HAD
NEVER SEEN A VIOLIN AND NO MUSICAL INSTRUMENT BEFORE THIS
DAY SO HE BRINGS OUT THIS BLACKWOODEN BOX AND HE OPENS IT
REALLY SLOWLY AND GET SOME WOODEN CONTRAPTIONS AND PLUCKS
THE STRINGS ALONG AND HE LEANS BACK IN HIS CHAIR AND STARTS
PLAYING REAL PRETTY TUNE. AND I MADE UP MY MIND RIGHT THEN
AND THERE I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING BUT WHEN I GET TO BE
OLDER, THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO DO. I WANT TO MAKE THE SAME KIND OF
SOUNDS AND I WANT TO BE WHAT HE IS AND BE A PERSON WHO CAN MAKE
THAT KIND OF SOUNDS WITH AN INSTRUMENT.
HOW TO MAKE AN ACCORDION. THERE'S A KID WHO CAME -- I HAD
A BOOTH IN NEW ORLEANS AND HE SAID WHAT IS THIS A KIT?
WELL, IF YOU CALL GOING OUT TO THE SWAMPS AND A CUTTING DOWN A

MAKING AN ACCORDION STARTS OUT WITH ME GOING OUT IN THE FOREST
AND FINDING A TREE THAT LOOKS NICE AND -- BECAUSE I USE MAPLE.
CURLY MAPLE AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THERE'S A LOT OF THAT IN
LOUISIANA. WELL FIGURED WOOD LIKE THIS OVER
HERE AND I CUT THE TREE DOWN. AGED THE WOOD FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS,
AND FABRICATE ALL THE PARTS -- THERE'S -- UNLIKE MOST
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS THIS IS THE SAME PRINCIPLE OF MAKING AN
ACCORDANCE BUT UNLIKE OTHER STRING INSTRUMENTS THIS HAS
MOVING PARTS IT HAS A MOVING KEYBOARD WHICH THESE WHICH IS
/* /* -- WHICH HAS TO BE PRECISE.
OVER HERE THIS IS ALL MOVING PARTS AND ALSO THE VOICE CHANGES
ORB THE STOPS -- STOP ASSEMBLY IS MOVING PARTS OVER HERE ALSO
SO IT'S THE SAME PRINCIPLE AS MAKING A STRING INSTRUMENT BUT
IT INVOLVES MOVING -- MOVING MECHANISMS.
THERE'S 532 PIECES THAT GOES INTO MY INSTRUMENTS AND THE ONLY
THING THAT I DON'T FABRICATE IN THIS SHOP ARE THE SEALED REEDS
THAT MAKES THE ACTUAL VIBRATIONS WHEN THE WIND HITS IT LIKE THIS.
THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT I DON'T FABRICATE.
I USED TO MAKE THE BELLOS WHICH IS THIS PART HERE.
THIS IS MADE OUT OF A VARIETY OF ITEMS LIKE ARRANGING FROM
TABLECLOTHS AND NYLON MATERIAL. ANYTHING ELSE YOU COULD FIND
AROUND THE KITCHEN BUT NOW I HAVE A SOURCE OF THESE WHERE I
IMPORT THEM FROM ITALY. ALSO THE REEDS COME FROM ITALY.
THE WAY THAT AN ACCORDION WORKS IT'S LIKE I MENTIONED BEFORE
IT'S JUST THE ACTION OF THE BELLOWS, PUMPING THE BELLOWS
MAKING THE REED MOUNTS AND MAKING THE REEDS MOUNT WITH THE
AIR PRESSURE. ♪♪

THE LARGEST FRESHWATER LAKE IN LOUISIANA IS ACTUALLY A
RIVER, AND IT TOOK A LAWSUIT TO ACTUALLY DECIDE THAT.
THE COURT CASE IS UNDER APPEAL THAT PARTS OF THE CALLA LULA
LAKE IS OFF LIMITS PROPERTY RIGHTS AND SPORTS ACCESS TO
WATERWAYS IS ONE OF THE ISSUES DEBATED ON THIS MONTH'S
LOUISIANA PUBLIC SQUARE. HERE'S AN EXCERPT.
WHAT DO YOU SEE AS SOME OF THE CHALLENGES FOR LOUISIANA'S
COASTAL FISHERMAN AND COASTAL DUCK HUNTERS WHETHER IT WOULD BE
FOR A LAND ACCESS SO I WON'T OR FROM A HABITAT STANDPOINT.
BEING IN THE COASTAL REGION AND BEING WHAT I DO CHARTER FISH
FOR A LIVING THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WE HAVE ON THE COAST IS ACCESS
TO OUR WATER. I MEAN, OUR ACCESS GETS THROWN
OFF EVERY DAY WE'RE GETTING THROWN OUT OF PLACES -- WE'VE
BEEN FISHING 25, 30 YEARS AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, NOW THEY
COME IN AND THEY TELL US WE CAN'T GO THERE.
I MEAN, WHO DO WE KNOW WHO THEY REALLY ARE TO BE HONEST WITH YOU
BUT WE'RE ON THE PUBLIC'S WATER. WE'RE NOT ON THE LAND.
WE'RE ON THE WATER PLACES WE'VE BEEN TRAVELING FOR THE LAST 30
YEARS. SO THAT'S REALLY OUR BIGGEST
ISSUE IS ACCESS TO OUR WATERWAYS IN THE COASTAL AREAS.
AND RUDY, RUDY SPARKS YOU'RE HERE FROM THE LOUISIANA
LANDOWNERS ASSOCIATION. WHY DO YOU FEEL LIKE THESE
CONFLICTS HAVE ARISEN OVER THE LAST 5 OR 6 YEARS WHERE WE
DIDN'T HAVE SO MANY BEFORE? WELL, I THINK WE'RE SEEING A
CONSTANT CHANGE IN THE TERRAIN AND HABITAT AND THAT CREATES
SOME QUESTION WHERE DOES THE PRIVATE LAND STOP AND WHERE DOES
THE PUBLIC LAND START? AND I THINK OVER THE CASES
LANDOWNERS HAVE BEEN WILLING TO ALLOW FISHERMEN GREATER ACCESS
TO THEIR PROPERTIES AND SOME OF THEIR PRIVATE CANALS BUT FOR A
NUMBER OF REASONS, PARTICULARLY THE FACT THAT WE'RE REALLY
STRUGGLING TO PRESERVE OUR COASTAL MARSHES THEY'RE SO
FRAGILE THEY'RE BEING ERODED, AND SUBSIDED AND A LOT OF DAMAGE
IS CAUSED WHEN SOME OF THESE BOATS GET INTO THESE INTERIOR
MARSHES AND CHURN THE WATER AND SO AS LANDOWNERS AND LAND
MANAGERS WHO ARE HIRED BY THESE LANDOWNERS WE HAVE A
RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT THOSE RESOURCES AND THOSE ASSETS THAT
THOSE LANDS HAVE AND SO I THINK THAT'S PART OF IT.
THERE'S A LOT OF CONCERN ABOUT THAT AND THE POTENTIAL DETERTION
IT'S CAUSED TO THESE MARSHES AS A RESULT OF THESE FISHING
ACTIVITIES. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT ARE WE
GOING TO DO ABOUT THE AREAS? WE'RE WORKING WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE VERY CLOSELY.
THEY'RE LOOKING AT BIOLOGICAL PROJECTS THAT THEY'RE LOOKING AT
FOR STERILIZATION. THEY'RE LOOKING AT ALL KINDS
OF -- AND THEY'RE DOING RESEARCH RIGHT NOW TO -- FOR DIFFERENT
KINDS OF FEED STOCK WHERE THEY COULD FEED THESE ANIMALS TO GET
RID OF THEM. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WE'VE HAD IS
WARFARIN WAS THE FIRST INITIAL PRODUCT TO GET RID OF THE HOGS
BUT THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE THAT WOULD HAVE OCCURRED IS FAR WORSE
THAN WHERE THE HOGS ARE AT TODAY.
I THINK WITH THE RESEARCH GOING ON RIGHT NOW, I BELIEVE WITHIN
THE NEXT YEAR OR TWO, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME BIOLOGICAL
ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM THAT WE HAVE WITH FERAL HOGS CERTAINLY
THEY'RE A HORRIBLE PROBLEM AND A LOT OF THE PROBLEM WE'RE HAVING
WITH DEER POPULATION AND THE HABITAT FOR DEER IS
RESPONSIBLE -- THE RESPONSIBILITY COMES FROM THE
FERRELL HOG DESTRUCTION OF THAT HABITAT SO WE ALL ARE WORKING
WITH AGENCIES. WE'RE WORKING WITH LSU AND WE'RE
WORKING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.
THERE ARE SOME NATIONAL COMPANIES THAT ARE WORKING AND
LOOKING AT SOME ALTERNATIVE RESOURCES THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO
APPLY TO GET RID OF THESE HOGS SO THERE IS A LOT OF WORK TAKING
PLACE, YOU KNOW. I WISH I COULD SNAP MY FINGERS
AND MAKE IT GO AWAY BUT IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING
AND WE DO REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THAT ISSUE AND WHAT EFFECTS
IT HAS ON THE REST OF THE LANDSCAPE WITHIN LOUISIANA.

Breaking News - HOT OR NOT: Radamel Falcao looks reborn for Colombia at the World Cup - Duration: 4:13.It's Hot or Not time again as Sportsmail's IAN LADYMAN reveals what's been making him feel warm and what's been leaving him cold this week
The Colombia striker was so poor during his short time at Manchester United that players commented that he couldn't even run properly
Three years on and the great South American is reborn and his superb outside of the foot finish against Poland should serve as a warning as to what England can expect in Moscow on Tuesday
Buttler averages only 35 in Test matches which is probably why he has played in only 20
But if there is a more imaginative and naturally talented batsman in the country then they must be hiding somewhere
The Lancashire star once feared his Test career was over, but his success in the shorter format can act as a springboard to prove it is actually only just starting
The Spanish winger will be remembered by fans of Liverpool, Manchester City and Watford only, after three average spells in English football
But the 36-year-old is making a new career for himself as a pundit on Russian TV during World Cup 2018
Riera played in seven different countries but never in Russia. He does, however, have a Russian wife
The former Liverpool and West Ham midfielder has placed himself front and centre of the revolt against Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli so how foolish he looked when he invited Nigeria back in to the teams' crucial group game in St Petersburg by giving away a penalty
If you are going to lead the revolution then it helps if you get your own lines right
Once a very average Arsenal goalkeeper, the Pole is now second choice at Juventus
That did not stop him revelling in the Italian team's defeat of Tottenham in the Champions League which seemed a little classless
Now the 28-year-old is back home after an abysmal World Cup. He never looked good enough in the Premier League and little has changed
The striker is gifted, but may have to leave Manchester United to make the most of himself
Against Belgium he wasted England's best chance and it wasn't the fact that Thibaut Courtois saved his shot that reflected badly
It was the fact he didn't lift his head to see a team-mate in space in front of an open goal to his right

Virtual Colonoscopy / CT Colonography or "Regular" Optical Colonoscopy? Which is Better? (2) - Duration: 2:39.- Colon cancer is the second most deadly cancer in the world.
1.5 million people get colon cancer diagnosis every year.
Yet colon cancer is completely preventable. Dr. Anton Titov MD
And virtual colonoscopy, also known as CT colonography, is able to detect colorectal
cancer with similar accuracy compared with regular optical colonoscopy.
You are the lead author of a seminal study that compared virtual colonoscopy with regular
optical colonoscopy.
Your study on virtual colonoscopy was published in the world's most prestigious medical journal,
New England Journal of Medicine.
What are the advantages of virtual colonoscopy that you have identified?
Well, over time we have seen virtual colonoscopy to be just as effective as regular colonoscopy,
the invasive method, for identifying the polyps and cancers that matter.
These are advanced neoplasms.
This is, of course, very important.
CT colonography actually is much less invasive.
It requires no needles, no IV medication and no sedation.
There is no recovery time, so you can immediately return to your regular activities.
You don't need a driver to take you home, for example.
We also evaluate a lot of areas outside of the colon during virtual colonoscopy.
And we find more cancers outside of the colon than within the colon.
It's a general abdominal screen, if you will.
We can screen for osteoporosis and abdominal aneurysms and other processes.
We can screen for fatty liver too by doing virtual colonoscopy.
Other advantages include comfort for the patient.
Patients have repeatedly shown that they prefer virtual over optical colonoscopy.
Anyone who has had both tests, there has been a wide margin of favoring CT colonography.
There is no sedation for virtual colonoscopy, while patients are heavily sedated for regular
colonoscopy. and it's the prolonged recovery time that they remember from that test.
So there are a number of advantages of virtual colonoscopy, Some of them relate to the relatively
non-invasive approach, But also because virtual colonoscopy is just as effective if not more
effective than regular colonoscopy in identifying the lesions that matter.
So it's possible that actually virtual colonoscopy is even more sensitive and detects more colon
cancers and precancerous lesions compared with the optical colonoscopy?
Yeah.
In fact we have found no test is perfect, of course.
But the lesions that can be missed in optical colonoscopy are sometimes right-sided colon
cancers or advanced adenomas that can be hiding behind folds.
But these areas are very easy for us to identify.
Because we have really no physical constraints in terms of detection.
So there's definitely a complementary nature between virtual colonoscopy and optical colonoscopy.
But I believe that's true.
I think in the end virtual colonoscopy is probably slightly better at identifying some
of these important lesions.
It's amazing how the virtualization and the use of technology really improves the ability
of the people to look at previously challenging situations, also in many other applications
outside of healthcare.

TTS Chrome or Computer with Wifi - Duration: 2:15.Hi! Welcome! This is a training on the best way to access text-to-speech on a
Chromebook or on a computer when you're connected to Wi-Fi. Now there are ways to
access text-to-speech when there is no Wi-Fi connectivity, but we will cover
that in another video. So the easiest way to access text-to-speech is through a
Chrome extension used in a Chrome browser. Just a note that it has to be a
Chrome browser . So we're going to launch Chrome; and just so you note here at the
top, extensions are...they're kind-of like mini programs that can be installed from
the Chrome Web Store. So you would pretty much find something and just hit "add to
Chrome". Now in our district, they took care of that for us and the Chrome
extension called "Select and Speak" has already been added to all the student
accounts, so when the student logs in, it will just appear up here. It looks like
this in the Google Chrome toolbar. Now to use "Select and speak", you first need to
find some text. So text can be found obviously on any web page so this can be
nice when you're doing some research; can also be found in things like Google Docs.
So I'm going to go ahead and pull that up. When you found the text that you want
to have read aloud you, will just click your mouse next to a word and then
highlight the words that you'd like to have read aloud. You will then come to
the top and click the icon that says "Select and speak" [Computer Voice talking] "text-to-speech can
allow individuals to read print in a different way". [End computer voice talking]. Now you'll notice that
this icon toggles between read and pause. What this allows you to do is to select
the text and then read it, and then pause in the middle and then pick up again
where you left off. [Computer voice talking]: "Text-to-speech can allow individuals to read print in
a different way..." [end computer voice talking] You can also change the voice and the rate of speech by simply
right-clicking on the "Select and Speak" icon, selecting options and then
selecting "settings" from the top and you'll see that you can choose your
voice and your reading speed from this page. So that's it! It's pretty simple. Thanks
so much for watching
