THE CRAZIEST THING I'VE EVER DONE (so far) - Duration: 6:01.I saw this great picture from an underwater camera the other day. Man, The tuna verse is just so amazing
Hello everyone Ellie again, and I am here to talk to you this week about adventure
So one of the major things that is coming up in my life is a trip that I have been planning for
for, let's see, almost a year now somewhere around there
I am going to Cozumel Mexico to scuba dive
I'm so excited. I'm so ready
So this week in preparation for our trip down there,
myself, along with 13 other people around my age that are going,
have been learning how to scuba dive.
(as well as our professional instructors. Thank goodness they're coming too - we're going to need them)
We spent part of the week doing team-building doing trust exercises things like that
and a fair amount of the last few days actually
in the pool, which is absolutely nuts to be able to breathe underwater
Like that's insane
So I took you guys along for the ride with me this week to give you a glimpse into what I've been doing
Some of these things are crazy incredible things that I thought
that I would never have a chance to do in my whole life
Yet here. I am sitting on the bottom of a 15-foot pool for almost an entire hour
Just sitting there breathing in some oxygen (and nitrogen!)
I mean, not now, I'm not in the pool now, don't worry
but I was
And I'm gonna show ya
Here we go!
Hey guys, so we just finished our first day of dive training and we were not actually in the pool today
We did team bonding exercises
There are 13 of us and we spent the entire day doing ropes courses and all sorts of
balancing acts
There was a lot of teamwork stuff.
I am exhausted and I am heading home. So I will catch up with you guys tomorrow
Hey guys, so it is day two and as you can see by my beautiful hair
We did go to the pool today. I breathed underwater for the first time in my life, which let me tell ya...
...is terrifying. We also worked on like going into deeper water and I still can't hear out of one ear
I could only ever get one of them equalized which was super fun, and I did not wear contacts
I just went into the pool blind
Which kind of went okay,
but was also a giant pain
because I couldn't see what they were asking me to do
So here is hoping that tomorrow goes just as good and I'll see you tomorrow
Hey guys. So today officially marks the end of day three,
taking us to the halfway point of dive training this week
So today we did a lot of, like
Underwater breathing exercises, so to speak
I learned how to take my mask completely off and get it all the way back on and cleared
underwater which is very very strange
it's such an odd feeling to take it off,
and then have to put it back on because your eyes are closed at that point you can't see anymore
We also spent a lot of time like clearing your mask so that you can see,
learning how to use the snorkel that was attached things like that.
We spent about an hour and a half in the water today, so we used the entire
extension of our tank. I officially sat on the bottom of the deep end of the pool,
which I think is about 15 feet down.
So it was really weird and messed with your ears a lot.
We did giant stride enterences.
So essentially you just took this huge step off the side of the pool and into the water,
and then we just sank from there instead of trying to like use the ramp to come down
We just went from there which really helped.
I figured out how to adjust my ears finally,
so I got them to both pop, and I can hear again,
which is spectacular
Dave four is finally complete. Whoooo!
So today we did a lot of both snorkeling and scuba diving,
so practicing breathing on the surface
which I inhaled a fair amount of water -
don't do that, it's not fun, don't do it -
as well as emergency underwater procedures
So we practice like
if you were to run out of oxygen in the middle of the ocean,
what would you do?
And I was like, okay, that's cool,
we'll, we'll practice some things.
But then our instructor was like, "okay, we're gonna go down to the bottom"
and I was like yeah, cool,
and he was like "and then I'm gonna shut off your air"
and I was like
Wait what I need that you can't just tur- Nope.
He turned it off!
So you pull the weights and drop them and then go to the surface and I made it (thankfully).
I panicked a little bit, just a little, but honestly
I feel like that's a fair reaction to
just having no oxygen all of the sudden.
So we all made it through day four
Thankfully...I am so tired.
All right guys is finally Friday. Yes
So this marks the end of day 5 of jive trading
I will continue on through the weekend to
brush up on our skills and make sure I'm all good to go before we leave
But today we spent part of our day in a pond looking for frogs
so my hair is full of not only chlorine but also algae,
so I am gonna go fix that. Thank you guys so much for watching.
Let me know if you like this video
Leave me a comment down below. See you next time
(That's hot!)

Earth Has Changed And So Has Her People - Duration: 3:12.As our lenses become sharper and clearer all internal and external truths are questioned
under a big bright light of scrutiny.
We have so many decades under our belt – why can't we remember who we are and what comes
next?
Once proof was in the pudding, now the proof and the pudding is sugar free, our splendor
has turned to granulated splenda confusing our senses.
We lean forward in the seat of the soul with our internal heart driving us into un-chartered
waters on a see of confusion.
Certainty without the candy coating of doubt is required to fulfill our energetic obligations.
Doubt cannot live in the grade A choices of a world that is moving into the gated community
of less than and not enough.
In these upcoming changes and energies, movement forward is a must if one is not to sink within
the dimensional quicksand of Earth.
Movement and thought, consideration, and consequence are demanded by the Universe.
Just across the stated line into manifestation one must embrace all of these roads that lead
home.
Like the old song says 'you ain't seen nothing yet'.
Life is thicker and contains more than in the past.
Unexpected expectations take time, energy and heart.
Earth has changed and so has her people, continually adjusting to all that is thrown at them.
People are hardened and softened at the same time.
This conflict creates tension in the body causing unexpected aches and pains.
We bend over to life's demands finding ourselves in limbo more often than not.
wanting to escape and at the same time wanting to stop and embrace all that is around us
as it is changing so quickly and may not be the same tomorrow morn.
Heartstrings are tugged, wallets are tugged, and emotions are raw and bleeding.
The energies come not as soothing and soft but come as thorns in the crown and heart.
Step gently into these turbulent times that come.
Do not expect them to hold you as you cry, as you weep, or mourn.
Allow them to be what they are and allow yourself to be what you are – very human on a divine
playing field in a game that changes and challenges you daily.
Become as a deep-sea reef and allow the energies to swim around you, hold steady to who you
are and do not lose yourself as the big waves come.

Why Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown Is So Important - Video Essay - Duration: 7:18.Anthony Bourdains' Parts Unknown is a very special show.
And I'm not just saying this because Bourdain recently, and sadly, took his own life earlier
in June at the age of 61.
This isn't a mere afterthought or an excuse to praise someone's show who recently passed
away.
Parts Unknown legit is brilliant, fascinating, and actually extremely important.
It's essential viewing for anyone who can't' afford to travel the world and learn about
different cultures and societies, but still want to learn and experience want the rest
of the world can offer, whether it's through food, traditions, entertainment, architecture,
history, and much, much more.
You name it.
The way I view it, Parts Unknown is the most entertaining learning experience anyone can
have.
If you don't already know, the show features Bourdain traveling to different locations
across the globe, whether it be exotic, unknown or underappreciated locales, or huge tourist
destinations like Rome and Berlin.
Bourdain talks about and eats a variety of delicious dishes.
But in Parts Unknown, the food is always just an excuse to much, much deeper.
And that's the real beauty of this show.
What I mean by this is that, the series really delves into each culture, providing viewers
and incredible history lesson and a better understanding of how certain countries and
cities function.
In other words, it's enlightening.
In the most recent, and presumably, last season Bourdain traveled to Uruguay, Hong Kong, Armenia,
Berlin, Newfoundland, and in the last episode, Bhutan.
Ironically enough, Bourdain and director Darren Aronofsky a Bhutanese death ritual while dicusing
the tumultuous, and oftentimes, sad state of the world, and the decline of rural life.
These are deep tough conversations to have against the backdrop of gorgeous food being
consumed, whether it be spicy dumplings or yak cheese.
Not only do you learn so much about Bhutan, with the show putting a spotlight on a place
no one knows too much about, you also get an understanding of where the world might
through the eyes of Bourdain and Aronofsky.
In the Uruguay episode we learn why there's always this state of pessimism among its people,
with the country still be among the most liberal there is in the world, with free healthcare,
free education.
In the Berline episode, we get a feeling as to why there's such as strong and incredible
nightlife there.
How the city has bounded back from the remnants of the second world war, the cold war, and
the berlin wall, and why exactly it's so different than the rest of Germany, and how
those living in Berlin don't even view it as being an official part of Germany because
of just how different it really is.
In the Hong Kong episode, Bourdain teams up with manic cinematographer Christopher Doyle,
who's worked on such legendary films as Fallen Angels and In the Mood for Love.
We see Hong Kong through the eyes of Doyle, who has manically and beautiful capture Hong
Kong and Asia through many great movies.
Parts Unknown highlights the importance of friendship, of acceptance of knowledge.
But most of all, it's also a great centerpiece of certain eccentric individuals as well,
those living in these different countries and how they're homes have shaped who they
are.
In the Berlin episode, we get an understanding of why David Bowie opted to move there in
the late 70s, and that change in scenery and location was catalictis for his very different,
darker music.
How he felt more isolated, relaxed, and calm in Berlin, a city known for its club scene
and partying.
A Queens episode Bourdain did a while back has a whole segment on the importance of food
carts in New York City, how the city is trying to crack down on these portale venues, and
how this might diminish the wonderful melting pot of culture that New York City is known
for.
Bourdain even talks to a pair of lawyers who represent immigrants who own these food carts.
The most personal episode Bourdain did was when he went back to his home, Masshchautes,
and what is arguably the very best of Parts Unknown.
He opens up about his heroin addiction, what led to that, and the current heroin and opioid
crisis that's happening in that state.
We learn about how this drug has impacted everyone and every community, why it's so
difficult to combat heroine, what led to this crisis in the first life, and the way people
in Massachusetts are trying their very best to lead better lives.
The delicious food is there, but yet again, it's just a backdrop.
We also get a nice tidbit about the fishermen in these areas, and how that business is dying
out and why those who still do it are still fishing.
It's personal, incredibly touching and sad, but there's an important layer of optimism
as well.
While I first started watching Parts Unknown back in 2014, I was all in on just watching
Bourdain try out delicious foods.
I considered it as a viewing guide of some sorts and nothing more.
But the more I watched the more I was pleasantly surprised.
And when I did hear the news of Bourdain's death, I sat back and started thinking about
just how much I've learned from his show and the grand role Parts Unknown played in
my development as an individual and young adult.
We've dozens of shows that highlight food and great destinations to eat, helping local
businesses boom.
That's great and will always remain entertaining.
But there's just something special about delving deeper into one's culture, how food
plays a role in that culture, and the upsides, downsides, and concerns in every country and
state.
Without sounding corny, it's kind of magical in a way.
Because we as people grow best when we do become accepting of one another and learn
and understand each other, no matter how different we all are.
Parts Unknown was hugely successful with pulling this off because Bourdain himself has always
been open to learning and accepting.
His love for the world and just how different it is, and viewing beauty in this difference,
is what made him such a beloved presence.
And he will be dearly missed.

Mental Health Experts BEG For Rule Change So They Can Talk About Trump's Declining Mental State - Duration: 2:53.Hundreds of mental health professionals here in the United States are lobbying the American
Psychiatric Association, begging them to repeal a rule known as the Goldwater Rule that current
prevents mental health professionals from publicly talking about the mental health of
elected officials here in the United States and why do they want this rule repealed?
Because currently, our country is being run by a crazy man who desperately needs to seek
mental help and these mental health experts, currently more than 200 of them are desperate
to get out there to the public and warn us about the dangers that this man's fragile
mental state pose to this country.
This isn't about them wanting to be famous.
This isn't about them wanting to do TV interviews.
This is about them warning us about what they see with the President of the United States
and to be honest, a lot of people have said, "Well, it's hard for them to give a diagnosis
if they've never sat down and talked to the guy."
It's actually not.
When you have hundreds upon hundreds of hours of speeches that you can go through, TV interviews,
things like that, dating back decades, it's actually very easy for mental health professionals
to be able to put together a very accurate portrait of what is happening inside of Donald
Trump's brain and we have seen a few of these mental health professionals in the last year
and a half break this Goldwater Rule, saying, "To Hell with the consequences.
The public needs to understand what's happening to Donald Trump."
But now they want to be able to come out as a united front, as experts in their field,
which they are, to warn us about the dangers of Donald Trump and his declining mental capacity.
It's pretty obvious.
I mean, seriously, go back.
Watch five minutes if you can stomach it of any of the recent rallies that Donald Trump
has done.
There's something wrong with him.
Maybe it's the narcissism.
Maybe it is dementia.
Maybe it's anything in between all that.
But something's not right.
The mental health professionals agree with this.
These are doctors.
People went to medical school for this.
They understand how the human brain works, how consciousness works and they're telling
us that something is wrong and so they are begging this association that they are a part
of that is holding them back to unleash them and let them tell the rest of the world, but
mostly the people here in the United States what kind of danger we're in because our country's
currently being run by a madman.

Why World Cup Balls Look So Weird Every Tournament - Duration: 3:38.- [Narrator] Everyone knows what a typical
soccer ball looks like, right?
It's as simple as black and white.
But that's not exactly what World Cup balls
have always looked like.
So what's the deal?
First things first.
You want a soccer ball to be as spherical as possible.
- In the old days we had balls that had the
bucky ball shape, the Epcot Center shape.
You had the 20 hexagons and the 12 pentagons.
And that was a very good approximation to a sphere.
But starting in 2006, in Germany, with the Teamgeist ball,
there were more creative ways to make
that approximation to a sphere.
- [Narrator] New technology enables Adidas
to start designing the balls with fewer panels,
which actually created a serious problem,
because fewer panels means less seams,
and, more importantly, a smoother surface.
- If the ball gets too smooth,
the air resistance for certain speeds goes up.
It's like kicking a beach ball.
- [Narrator] And that's exactly what happened
with the 2006 Teamgeist ball.
Players complained that the ball
didn't go where they expected it to.
So in 2010, Adidas compensated by adding
some texture to roughen up the surface.
Problem solved, right?
- Jabulani was a spectacular failure
because it was not rough enough.
When the ball would be kicked at certain speeds,
you'd notice it would look like it would slow down
dramatically in the middle of its flight.
- [Narrator] And the panels kept disappearing.
The 2014 ball had the fewest panels yet:
six!
But this time Adidas compensated.
- Despite having two fewer panels from Jabulani,
the total seam length around the ball
was actually 68% longer than it was for the Jabulani.
- [Narrator] So at least this time the ball
had the right amount of roughness
and flew further than the 2010 ball.
As for 2018?
- Total seam length on this ball,
it's actually 30% longer than the Brazuca.
So now you run the risk of the ball
being a little too rough.
- [Narrator] And again, Adidas compensated for this
by also making the seams shallower.
And studies show the Telstar 18
performs similarly to the Brazuca.
But it still has a bit more drag
and might not travel as far on high-speed kicks.
Regardless, all this begs the question:
If the goal is to produce a ball that's similar
to what athletes practice with for years,
why does the World Cup ball keep changing?
Turns out it's not about the players or the game at all.
I'm sure you can guess what it's all about.
- There's a new ball released for every World Cup.
But I think the primary reason is money.
- [Narrator] The 2018 World Cup ball
costs more than a hundred dollars.
- And these balls fly off the shelves.
- [Narrator] It's a pretty big investment,
considering you can get a simple replica for 20 bucks,
though they're not exactly the same.
- The technologies involved in these balls
are much, much greater than the balls we used as kids.
The panels on these balls are thermally bonded.
It helps keep the water out of the inside of the ball,
keep the water from making the ball
a little water-logged and heavier.
- [Narrator] But is it worth it?
We'll let you figure that one out.

Top Ten Movies of 2018 BOX OFFICE - so far! - Duration: 11:07.so there's some good news and there's some bad news when it comes to the box
office so far this year for Hollywood the good news is is that while 2017 was
a financial disappointment you could argue amongst yourselves how
it fared creatively this year the money is pouring in but the bad news is and
I'm sure some of you can guess this already my thumbnail might have given it
away but 60% of the summer box office belongs to Disney and 36% of the entire
years to date and then second place goes to oh it's just hilarious
especially for those of us not working at the other Studios Fox gets it at 12%
how did the Department of Justice so easily approve this acquisition well
let's not forget the Bob iger's thinking of running for president and it would
seem from this alone that he already has deep political connections but to be
fair to Bob he might have told his friends in the government hey once I
acquire the entertainment aspects of box I would never make movies like Maze
Runner three red Sparrow love Simon or Isle of Dogs so I'll still probably have
the same percentage of of the box-office cuz remember the Fox acquisition is
really about putting Marvel back together getting franchises like Avatar
and of course the digital space with that Hulu giving them the controlling
ownership of Hulu and you know the ability to just put out even more
content largely for the digital space that Disney is looking to dominate like
it does everything else although I have to say further in Bob's defense you
might be like that's horrible that you wouldn't make those movies Bob is it is
it horrible is that really Fox is slaying so far and while the rest of the
year is looking a little bit stronger for the studio you can see why the
Murdock's went out of this business right I mean it's not for the faint of
heart but you should be trying a little harder
to it's crazy all right so let's go to the domestic and then we're going to
the worldwide so domestically so far again this is the halfway mark for the
year and they're of course huge movies coming out particularly around the
holidays now of course of course Disney has the most not only has the
most films in the top ten but the top three I guess it's something of a
victory for the other Studios that Disney has less than half of the top ten
but they still have four and again the top three and those two Marvel flicks
are not only the top for the year domestically but two of the top all-time
domestic performers Wow I mean it's not like Disney's not
earning this stuff and they are you know it's not like the other couple I mean
it's a combination of Disney being so far out in front and then the other
Studios well for the most part not putting up enough of a fight but when
they do they get undercut by so many people we're gonna talk about Jurassic
world 2 all right so then pretty much all the Fox's business is wrapped up in
Deadpool so he's safe when Bob Iger snaps his fingers right and then
Jurassic world 2 he's racing up that chart and again this is domestic it's
not even been out for two full weeks yet domestically Whittle you see the
worldwide numbers so exciting alright then while it won't last of course by
the time we get to the end of the year it's great to see some smaller films in
the winner's circle even if again it's temporarily a quiet
place could could tough it out and and no matter what happens this is a phone
that costs just seventeen million dollars to make yet pulled in 186
domestically that's the domestic number it's you know you look at it you think
okay that's the worldwide no it's just domestic that puts it in the same range
domestically as get out which is very exciting
although both of them are way behind in chapter one so yeah or isn't just having
Renaissance but it's more popular than ever it's going from having a mega hit
now and then to consistently that's very very exciting it's always great to see a
new genre get on the board right we can't just have all comic book movies
and live action fairy tales I mean those are great but if you eat if you take all
the time right uh if you get sick you want something a little a little salty a
little scary although of course Disney's dominance is scary for everyone else but
you know in the spin the multiplex then there's Peter Rabbit on the list
isn't that great that's a great win for Sony keeping their new momentum going
after a Phoenix like 2017 that's right they were in the ashes they when they
saw the end of infinity war Sony was like that's just everything's to be
every year for us but speaking of Sony's past the only
franchises they really had were Spidey and bond to consistently get them on the
board and even like for instance the amazing spider-man 2 couldn't get them
on the board when that film came out at least domestically but now they've got
Jumanji officially set to challenge Star Wars and yet again in 2019 and this
fuzzy little guy Peter Rabbit was a good movie I'm telling you it's good it made
my top well it's not gonna stay on there I'm sure number 10 but that in
Paddington are tied for number 10 on my top 10 list of the years of movies for
this year so far it's a good movie and you can see that's reflected in the box
office so if you haven't seen Peter Rabbit you might want to check it out
and then finally Warner Brothers is the only other studio besides Disney to have
more than one picture in the top 10 but let's not break out the champagne just
yet they're only getting started over at Warner Brothers because their
biggest movies they're contenders for 2018 have yet to come we're talking the
Meg the none the crimes of Grindelwald and Aquaman all awaiting release they
really they really back-ended it over there but hopefully that strategy will
pay off I think Aquaman should have been a summer movie
I hope we're not saying that in a sad shaking our head sort of way
when the end of the year comes around why put crimes of Grindelwald and
aquaman back-to-back it makes no sense all right so let's head over the high
roller table aka the worldwide box office Marvel has a one-two punch here
as well this time not only getting another billion dollar club entry but
for a solo film that's very exciting although I do like to say it's Black
Panther and Friends he has an amazing supporting cast I agree with many of you
did a Wakanda streaming series could be a very good idea also by the way a side
note today is the 30th anniversary of coming to America when they were first
doing black panther I was like oh they should do it like coming to America and
a whole bunch of some of you on comments and social media we're all
upset about it really that's ridiculous grace and they did do it and worked out
so I coming to America and roots comparisons were spot on so I would I
would expect you to remember that okay so anyway and therefore and they and you
know if infinity war they got their first two billion dollar club entry one
of only four that's the new elite club the two billion dollar club and Marvel's
in it oh how exciting but look at Jurassic world to go run
Dino run almost eight hundred million worldwide with a whopping seventy six
percent of its box office from overseas but it just got started domestically to
be fair it is guaranteed to join the billion dollar club once again for this
franchise we'll see how high it gets on the all-time list I mean the first one
was recently number four until infinity war just unseated it but imagine how
well this movie would have been doing if Universal have done a good job promoting
it right or or if for some reason fans and critics and the media weren't
rooting against this movie - I mean come on Marvel lights I understand you being
upset and competing with the DC EU cuz you know it's like you know your
competitor it's in the same space but are you really gonna hate every other
franchise come on that's like that's unsportsmanlike you know it's like does
marked are Marvel's victories really sweeter if you trash the competition
it's already won why can't why can't we have Jurassic world - right behind it
and a fun and exciting way alright so Deadpool - isn't going to match its
predecessor but it came awfully close once again ensuring the Merc with the
mouth future in a place where nobody has a mouth in or out of the castle walls I
do wonder how Ryan Reynolds will get along there he's proven to be pretty
politically adept so far but it's gonna be a very different ballgame when he
becomes a Disney employee then fittingly running ready player one is bunched
together with two other films from China as ready player one wouldn't be anywhere
close to number five without the massive support of Chinese audiences but The
Incredibles 2 is already in China and not getting anywhere near that kind of
support China's putting all their money into Jurassic world
- so the pic disney/pixar flick will have to rely on the UK Japan and South
Korea to push it into the billion dollar club which had seemed like a sure thing
however Jurassic world - again is proving to be to be tougher competition
than expected and there is some friendly fire on the horizon as well they're both
family superhero movies why group them together why oh my god what if
Incredibles who doesn't join the billion dollar club that would be incredible and
not in a good way alright they're like wow finally you
know that play on words you know came back - came back at us in a negative way
alright then finally a rampage in Fifty Shades freed can enjoy their brief time
in the spotlight as neither one is gonna last on this list with the upcoming
films from Disney and Warner Brothers alone so can on any other studio hope to
stop disney dominance especially after the fox acquisition and why is everyone
playing along with it I'm not saying we should attack Disney or try and tear
Disney down but from fans to critics to the media - even the government you know
they seem to viewed not only Disney as their friend but everybody else as the
enemy I mean granted Disney again has a great slate this year they have earned
all their all their rewards I love the movies they've put out but we should
also be cheering on the other Studios as they're delivering some great entries as
well I know they're messing up a lot but they're trying to get better and it's
never gonna happen if you know we don't you know it's I think they're gonna you
know as anyone would if well you know they should have you know come on
they're making millions of dollars they should have the guts to to forge ahead
no matter what but still I mean when they earn the encouragement and they're
in the good job it should be given to them
alright so again I'm excited to hear your thoughts down below this is a
particularly punchy episode movie math so I'm expecting a punchy comment
section down below I'm sure some of you Marvel fans are gonna be extra solving
they're like you want your salt gray so I'll give you some salt and again I look
forward to continuing the conversation down below and of course as always you
can check out some more videos including again my top 10 list for the year so far
right now
