Prince Louis Christening: Will Kate Middleton release Princess Charlotte photos? - Duration: 3:37.Kate Middleton is set to make her next appearance when her son Prince Louis is christened next month, and tradition is likely to follow that of Charlotte and George
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has briefly stepped out of the public eye on maternity leave for a well-deserved break, but is returning for some occasions
last seen at Trooping the Colour, Kate won't fully return to the royal schedule for a couple of months yet
In the mean time, the country is readying for the next royal event, the christening of two-month-old Prince Louis
Prince Louis is to be officially christened on July 9 at The Chapel Royal, in St James' Place London
It is expected that, like the last two occasions, official photos of the Christening will be shared of the Cambridge family following the event
Official photos included the family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the new godparents, and the Queen and Philip
Other photos showed the royal family leaving after the occasion, and the royal couple exiting the venue with their newly christened children
Prince Louis will be christened by Justin Welby, The Archbishop of Canterbury, the same person to have christened the last two royal children
The new Prince will be christened at the same place as his brother Prince George, but not sister Charlotte who was christened at Sandringham chapel
Who will Prince Louis' godparents be? Prince Louis' godparents are as of yet unconfirmed, and there is constant speculation over who will receive the honour
So far, odds are pointing to former soon-to-be former private secretary Miguel Head and childhood nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke as the favourites
Miguel Head is up front with odds of 2/1, while there's also a 3/1 chance Kate calls upon private secretary Rebecca Priestley
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "As with George and Charlotte, the Duke and Duchess chose close and trusted friends and aides, rather than immediate family members, and the odds suggest that will be the same with little Prince Louis
" Who are Miguel Head and Tiggy Legge-Bourke? Miguel Head has been part of the royal household for more than 10 years as Prince William's private secretary
The role of private secretary to the Duke is the most senior appointment in the Cambridge household, but Kensington Palace announced Mr Head would be leaving his role to be replaced by civil servant Simon Case
Tiggy Legge-Bourke was hired as personal assistant to Prince Charles and nanny to Princes William and Harry
On Prince Charles and Diana's separation, the Prince of Wales hired Tiggy as nanny to their two sons, and played an important comforting role following Diana's death

Arsenal transfer news: When Lucas Torreira deal will be completed, Ever Banega update - Duration: 2:27.Arsenal are in the midst of a midfield overhaul which has seen Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere head for the exit door
Torreira has been targeted to add some much-needed steel to Unai Emery's squad as he plans for next season
The Sampdoria ace is currently on Uruguay duty at the World Cup and will be eager to start Saturday's showdown with Portugal
Ornstein has now explained a deal for Torreira to join Arsenal will have to wait until after the tournament in Russia ends
And he's also revealed Ever Banega, who played under Emery at Valencia and Sevilla, is not an alternative to the 22-year-old
"[Aaron] Ramsey contract talks ongoing," Ornstein wrote on Twitter. "Arsenal hopeful of agreement with Sampdoria for Torreira but nothing signed, no player agreement/medical - decided once #URU finish #WorldCup + if doesn't happen #AFC will look elsewhere (not Banega)
"[Jack] Wilshere still exploring options - nothing close." Ornstein's update came hours after he claimed Calum Chambers is poised to put pen to paper on a new Arsenal deal
"Calum Chambers will today sign a new 4yr contract with Arsenal to keep him there until 2022," said Ornstein
"Only signed 2yr extension in Oct 2017 that tied him down until 2021 but new head coach Unai Emery sees huge potential in 23yo + wants him to compete for starting berth at centre-back #AFC
" Meanwhile, Arsenal are said to be showing interest in Mexico international Miguel Layun
Like Torreira, the former Watford left-back is competing at the World Cup. Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Marseille are eyeing up 30-year-old Layun too

GOODLATTE: WHETHER HOUSE REPUBLICANS WILL - Duration: 14:15.the day house Republicans have been waiting for is finally here
infamous anti-trump FBI agent Peter struck not answering questions on his
way into a congressional hearing this morning that's what you see on the
screen but he is now taking questions from the House Judiciary Committee
behind closed doors struck agreed to a voluntary appearance after Chairman Bob
Goodlatte subpoenaed him last week Goodlatte Wayne and earlier today ahead
of the big event the bias which was clearly against Donald Trump and for
Hillary Clinton is reflected in the actions that were taken by the FBI in
both those investigations she they leaned over backwards to give her
special treatment that no other criminal suspect would receive and in the Trump
case they leaned forward to launch an investigation the roots of which we need
to learn a lot more about and we will hold a public hearing with mr. struck in
the very near future and tomorrow FBI director Christopher Rae and Deputy
Attorney General rod Rosenstein are set to testify publicly before the House
Judiciary Committee the two are expected to field questions about the DOJ and FBI
is actions in the run-up to the 2016 election and findings in the recently
released Inspector General report meanwhile Republican Senator Lindsey
Graham writing a letter to Rosenstein demanding more information about the
role that struck and Lisa page played in the Russia probe
here's Graham last night on the story well hole we know now is it the person
in charge of the Clinton email investigation mr. stroke and Miss Paige
were in the tank for Clinton and hated Trump now did those two people start an
investigation against the Trump campaign because they had a political bias or was
it based on legitimate evidence my question is what role did they play in
the Russian investigation so Josh you are a veteran of the hill and a lot of
the action on this issue now has moved to Congress it's close testimony today
we heard chairman Goodlatte say that he will be having open testimony soon
what is the role here that Congress should be playing in having hearings
should they be open should some be closed
how does Congress play a helpful and not partisan role right well I know the
president would prefer if all of these were open and I think most of the
American people would too but there's also a lot of classified information
that could come up here and I think probably safety first is the best way to
handle this I don't object to the fact that this initial testimony has been
given behind closed doors but I do think something significant could come of it I
mean what we know is that Peter struck was incredibly biased about the way that
he handled his business well we don't know is how that influenced everything
right how that influenced the Clinton investigation how that ultimately
influenced the the trumpet investigation in in the Russia collusion case you know
you can see where some of his Testament testimony might be formative into what
the ultimate conclusions here this entire episode would be well Melissa
we've talked a lot about the fact that there's a closed hearing today and so
each side will come out and probably talk about it in very different ways
you've advocated for much more openness on this let the American people get
answers to these questions and so eventually is that what's going to have
to happen well I did hear one report that there's going to be a transcript
from this and I wonder how much of that we're going to be able to see or how
much of it is redacted you know we don't want them to disclose sources and
methods right the things that have been shown so far that before they said it
was sources and methods has been just an embarrassment and I think it's just it's
been a very frightening time for people in terms of what the FBI and the DOJ is
willing to do and our perception of it and we need the confidence in those
organizations restored I think Peter struck it's interesting he
seems like I mean if you looked at him walking in he looked kind of exhausted
he was trying to smile it seems like he is a story that he wants to tell and I
for one am really interested in hearing it well he has said he wanted to talk
and the situation reached and in Cindy there's that video right there by the
way of him going in that I was describing and you can kind of look and
judge for yourself yeah the situation reached a rather incendiary point for
him last week and so he said yeah definitely he wanted to be part of this
conversation I think if you take a look at the situation no matter which will
little party if there was one that was leveraging and I've heard the word
weaponize but definitely leveraging its power against another based on bias or
based on just wanting to keep their own jobs no matter who was in the White
House and keeping certain people in and out of the White House I still
critically want to know what the plan was for Peter struck and Lisa page to
keep this president out of the White House was it a wider plan they mentioned
their boss Andrew McCabe the former FBI deputy director who at the agency knew
about this plan was it just two lovers trying to out text each other it was it
well I don't know I'm asking questions so was it any of these things but I
think we do need to know that and every political party since there seems to be
socialism in the room among the Democratic Party but with every bullet
we should want we should be thirsty hungry to know how you can leverage
these agents the DOJ or the FBI and if they're going to figure out what the
punishment will be the accountability will be once we find out whether or not
that that's truly what happened but right now it's dirty yeah and one thing
is for sure a lot of stuff leaks so we don't know what we'll find out well and
to pick up on that point of wanting to know everything we're not even talking
we're talking about Peter shock that's our focus but rod Rosenstein is gonna
get a grilling to about how the Justice Department in the Congress's opinion had
not been forthcoming with information they're going to be asked he's going to
be asked all kinds of questions about what he signed off on what he did not
sign off on what he knows about the Special Counsel investigation whether he
should recuse himself based on somewhat of a conflict of interest with the
Special Counsel investigation considering he advocated or at least
approved of the firing of James Comey which prompted the Special Counsel
investigation so there are all kinds of questions also for rod Rosenstein who is
now in charge of that investigation that's all right let's do some breaking
news right now we knew
is coming together Fox News is working to confirm but so far TMZ and The
Associated Press and others are reporting that Joe Jackson has died the
patriarch of the Jackson family originally the Jackson 5 has passed away
there are reports that family sources are saying that he passed away at 3:30
this morning in Los Angeles TMZ broke the story that Joe Jackson was
hospitalized earlier this month with terminal cancer
his family has been flocking to his bedside since again that's TMZ reporting
his wife Catherine had been at his bedside as were some of the children and
grandchildren we knew that he had health problems
he was hospitalized back in 2016 with a high fever but most recently reports of
cancer and now the man the father of arguably the most famous group of people
in the world as musicians I mean you can go musician by musician about who was
the biggest star but Joe Jackson has died the patriarch of that family more
news as we get it outnumbered you're watching it we're back in a moment
Fox News Alert a federal judge in California ordering migrant children to
be reunited with their families within 30 days that is a tall order given that
some 2,000 children are still separated after illegally crossing the border the
Justice Department responding in part quote last night's Court decision makes
it even more imperative that Congress finally act to give federal law
enforcement the ability to simultaneously enforce the law and keep
families together this comes at this White House just minutes from now is
expected to vote I'm sorry the house is expected to vote on a compromise
immigration bill that is not likely to pass but President Trump this morning
tweeting House Republicans should pass these strong
but fair immigration bill known as good lot two in their afternoon vote today
even though the Dems won't let it pass in the Senate passage will show that we
want strong borders and security while the Dems want open borders crime Wynn
Fox News senior Capitol Hill producer Chad program is live with the latest
Chad I mean what's the latest vote count there
yeah they don't seem to have the votes no one here is under any assumptions
that this piece of legislation will pass they've tried to massage this bill over
the past couple of days they added a verified provisions to deal with
affirming whether or not workers were eligible to be on the job here in the
United States they added agriculture provisions for guest workers to come and
pick crops on farms but that probably gained some votes and lost some others
this is the uphill struggle that they face when the House of Representatives
is poised to vote on this bill in about a half hour 45 minutes from now and
Steve Scalise the Majority Whip continues to try to get the votes for
this but it's not looking good let's listen this bill is even stronger than
the last bill at building the wall front-loading the money so the president
Trump can have the money needs to build the wall close loopholes reunite
families it does all of those things but clearly we we haven't been able as
Republicans to get an agreement on how best to do this and and that's where the
divide is now consider this the house of representatives is on the precipice of
defeating a bill that would a lot twenty five billion dollars in cold hard cash
for the wall that's pretty extraordinary and what that does is it punch that
debate until October something else to look for in this vote on the bill that
failed last week the so-called conservative bill they got 193 yeas for
that piece of legislation that's more than they thought they were going to get
we'll see if this bill gets more or less than that vote last week what's next
well we're told that there could be a bill coming maybe not before the July
4th recess on a narrow piece of legislation that deals with the child
separation issue on the border there's a bill in the house but the one to watch
is one in the Senate there's an unusual couple working on this piece of
legislation according to Mitch McConnell the majority leader it's Dianne
Feinstein the Democrat from California and Ted Cruz the Republican from Texas
and Mitch McConnell says if you can get those two senators together on this
piece of legislation considering their divergent views they should be able to
pass that just on child separation by voice vote in the Senate Melissa all
right Chad program thank you so much for that report I'm going to bring it out to
the couch Josh I mean if you look at it it's a win win for Republicans because
if they have the vote and they lose they're able to point at Democrat
and say you voted no on daca and I remember people flooding to the Capitol
or wherever it was that Nancy Pelosi wasn't screaming in her face that she
had voted no to helping daca kids they also vote no on border security so it
becomes even if they aren't able to pass the legislation if they are that it
could say they won if they lost they can point at Democrats and say you voted no
well recall just back in late January early February Democrats have the same
opportunity actually ended up shutting the government down over this debate and
and what they shut it down over is what you're seeing again is that the base of
the Democratic Party as evidenced by the election when last night doesn't want to
do border security not only do they not want to do a wall they want open borders
altogether abolish ice is the kind of the new cry of the Democratic Party
which is just completely out of step with where vast majority of America is
on this and so if you want to fix the daca issue if you want to fix the child
separation issue for Democrats you can't even talk about fixing the larger
problem of illegal immigration Murray I know they always say because you're
explaining you're losing but how did Democrats explain voting no on daca is
that hard to defend when they go into reelection I think let's first take a
step back the Republican caucus cannot get enough votes because the hard right
does not want to vote for dreamers to get a path to citizenship so so is that
the argument the candidate no I'm just saying like let's be very honest about
why this legislation is not going to pass and I actually think Democrats
should take a look at it but and because I've said if this is our one chance to
fix daca right protect these dreamers if this is it and I fear it might be I
think we should take a long and hard look at it because they're not doing it
and in the Senate I actually think there are Democrats I mean the fact that
Dianne Feinstein is working with Ted Cruz in and of itself is sort of
groundbreaking in DC but the problem is last week the president tweeted let's
not pass anything on immigration today he says we can't boiling them I mean it
sounds that way you're gonna go with we're gonna go give he has to give
guidance to Congress and he's giving you I don't think that's a winning argument
when you're running for re-election I mean he's given to just the fact that's
not like politics with all of this is infuriated and frustrating we have a
flood on the border of people coming here illegally
catch-and-release is now back as the policy because they are now keeping
children with adults who aren't necessarily their parents there's no
mechanism now for them to prove that these are parents rather than strangers
that smugglers have put them together with in Mexico and shove them on the
border and they use the children as shields and say look this is my passport
they have a report in The New York Times about a guy saying look I have this kid
and this is my passport into the u.s. because I know they're going to release
me we have six hundred thousand cases in the backlog of the immigration system
right now that is the problem and yet we're focused on this comprehensive
dockable when we have an emergency that continues
to happen year after year and this is what Capitol Hill is focused on the
problem is now they could fix it with the feinstein cruz bill they're ignoring
it there's an emergency going on and all we're talking about is all of these
other distractions that could come later without solving the action I don't know
why everybody's sick of the establishment and Washington it's so
hard to figure out well look I I mean I think they're gonna fix it all right
we'll see well we hope so all right we're outnumbered just a
moment we'll be right back

Trump says auto tariff probe will be completed in three to four weeks - Duration: 0:38.U.S. President Donald Trump says his administration's investigation into whether to increase tariffs
on car imports will be completed in three to four weeks.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday, Trump also said the U.S. is not
considering leaving the World Trade Organization.
Trump ordered the "Section 232" national security probe into automobiles in May, and the U.S.
Commerce Department is looking into car imports to the U.S., which include those from South
Korea, the EU and Japan.
Similar probes ordered last year... that led to import tariffs on steel and aluminum...
took about ten months to complete.

Will UX Ever Become Obsolete? (Jakob Nielsen) - Duration: 2:02.[Aurora]: At Jakob Nielsen's keynote speech in Las Vegas, an attendee asked whether
UX would ever grow to a point where it's become so prevalent that we don't need UX people anymore.
[Jakob Nielsen]: Well, I think that research and design are the two sides of that coin
of creating a good user experience.
I think we need both.
I don't think we can do away with the research because that would presume that we would have
all the answers already and — we just need to just design something, and you don't need
to figure out what should be designed.
But we do need to figure that out, because we will always want to do something else.
Even if you just look at something like web design.
And web design has been around now for a long time.
We really do know a lot of criteria for what makes a good website.
And yet, when it comes to making a website for a specific company or for a specific purpose,
we still can't just say, "Well, just go and copy Amazon."
In fact if you copy Amazon, you will have a bad website, because you are not Amazon.
You have a different set of circumstances.
So, therefore, you always need to figure out: who are your customers, what are they trying
to do, and those are going to be different things.
Therefore, we will continue to need research, we will continue to need design,
and the two will have to work together.
And that's the way you create good products, because we are trying to solve new needs.
I mean, there are certainly some needs that you might say, they are known, and we don't need
a lot of research for those needs, but they are the less interesting parts of it: the
less value-added part of it.
And even they will need some amount of design.
But all of the new things, which is the majority, probably, of the interesting work, definitely
they require UX research, they require UX design — they require the full package.

I personally want LeBron to go to the Lakers cuz I'm a Lakers fan and who doesn't wanna

stay in Cleveland as crazy as that sounds.
Now my mic was bugging when I was talking with Flight and McQueen so
I added subtitles.
I
was also able to go to Venice Beach after vidcon and they featured me in a game so if
you wanna see this whole vlog of vidcon, of the game, lemme know in the comments down

SENATOR RAND PAUL (R-KY): I THINK SUPREME COURT VOTE WILL BE DIVIDED ALONG PARTY LINES - Duration: 14:15.all right we'll know soon not what the president wants to do about this
replacing Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court here now much of this was
telegraphed it was just a matter of when we were told not even if but again as we
indicated the Supreme Court justice indicated the president today you want
to stop by talk to the president tell him in person that he wanted to step
down and now the choices the president has a list he's going to use that list
now on that list so happens to be a the Utah Senator Mike Lee I want to get the
read on that from Kentucky Senator Rand Paul what he makes of that one Center on
the list senator and your colleague Mike Lee how do you feel about that I think
it'd be a great pick but I think I'd hate to lose him in the Senate you know
he and I are allies on so many things constitutional war powers criminal you
know justice reform personal privacy all of these issues Mike Lee has been right
there with me so I'd hate to lose him from the Senate but he's a very
thoughtful guy well-read well-spoken and knows the law better than anybody that
I've ever met probably so he'd be a great pick but I'd be of divided
loyalties because I think we really need him in the Senate where we're often
outnumbered by people who don't really seem to give a darn at all about the
Constitution well that's high praise from you Senator obviously would be a
little convoluted too because then he would have to leave the Senate and then
obviously the governor of that state with a point of replacement that could
be confusing but do you think that there's any anyone on that list that
could surprise folks that the because some people look back for to be on the
conservative side say you know we've been disappointed before they use the
Souter example and others even Anthony Kennedy and surprised people with you
know how he could go from conservative to a swing vote
albeit an important vote but what do you make of it I don't know everybody on the
list but I do know that guy who was at the top of the list Neel Gorsuch is
amazing I just read his opinion in the carpenter case is the case about whether
the government can track your location forever all of the time without a war
and his was the only dissent that said when you give your records to a third
party a telephone company or a bank horses was the only one that says the
fourth amendment digital still should apply completely and always that you
still have a privacy or a property ownership in information when you let
somebody hold it you haven't given up an expectation of privacy and Gorsuch
opinion was better than anybody else's on the court so you're talking to a
guy's a big fan of course such on the Fourth Amendment and I think on property
and on a lot of other issues he's going to probably end up being the most
libertarian justice we have so if anybody else's in the mode of Neal
Gorsuch I'm all for them you know senators some of the recent decisions
that have been close ones at 5-4 rulings you know have prompted some to say we
need a more decisive court one more conservative vote in this case could
potentially make 5-4 ruling 6-3 rulings the other side laments that process
though and that hints that this is going to be a very very divisive summer into
the fall what do you think you know I if I had to predict I think Supreme Court
vote no matter who president Trump picks will be divided along party lines
because the Democrats have dug in and I don't think they're willing to look at
each individual person that is nominated they're so angry they're not talking
about violence there are people in the Capitol pushing people yelling kidnapper
I mean it's really gotten kind of out of hand you have members of comrade of
Congress fomenting this kind of stuff so no I think they're gonna dig their heels
in and just yell and scream and vote against anybody president Trump picks
but you know they're about eight states where Democrats are running for the US
Senate where President Trump won by between 20 and 40 points and so if they
want to yell and scream and say they hate everything about the Trump and
they're not going to do anything and not listen to anything Republicans have to
say their voters might think otherwise in November because I think they're
tired of Democrats making everything so partisan frankly so this other view that
oh what's the rush and hear that from any of the left
what there is no need to rush and they use that and Chuck Shumer I believe use
that if I'm paraphrasing a senator that you know Mitch McConnell had used that
argument in holding off on a Barack Obama appointment for the Supreme Court
position that was ultimately filled by judge gorgeous that they're the same
applies here so they wonder about I would say it's a
completely different situation when Senator McConnell said we need to wait
till after the election it was a presidential election the president gets
to pick Supreme Court so you can see how when you're in the middle of deciding
that the president is you probably also shouldn't at the very last minute of a
presidency when that president's not running have them pick you can see how
the election might really be important to decide who the next presidents going
to be we're not going through a presidential election we're just going
through a congressional election so no I think we should proceed forthwith and
like I say if President Trump nominates somebody half as good or nearly as good
as Neil Gorsuch I'll be very happy because there is another thought here
whatever happens in the house senator there's a good likelihood at least in
the Senate Republicans could pick up seats way too early to say and you're
not gotten in this before but the math might improve or the odds of getting a
pick approved right now it's as close as you can get yeah no I think that it's
very likely that the Republicans keep their majority in the Senate or actually
maybe expand that authority or a majority I think in the house it's going
to be historic but typically throughout history when a president wins in one
party the other party often takes over 30 seats or more in the house I think
it's looking less likely than that because the Democrats problem is there
now the party of sort of special sort of small percentage sort of victim groups
spread out through society but they've sort of lost track of being for the
working man and I think just the general working man who's not part of some sort
of special class or a special group victim group who just wants a good job
is starting to see gosh the economy is picking up wages are picking up this may
be the most rapid growth we've seen in a decade or more
I think we're gonna hit four percent GDP growth I think the enthusiasm I feel I
think we could hit five percent GDP growth if we could just sort of calm the
waters on the trade front but if we can get beyond this trade war and it doesn't
escalate I think the tax return is just starting to get into the economy and I
really think you're gonna see some amazing economic growth
you mentioned the economic growth on the wind that's been at the back certainly
the president course we had a market trip up today as we've had nine of the
last 11 trading day so I don't want to get too overly obsessed with that but is
your concern I'm a senator that a chief justice should should be a strict
constitutionalists in other words just following what our forefathers intended
and not trying to reinterpret that or add to that because by that definition a
lot of modern-day decisions were apart from that and and that even so-called
conservative just now swing vote justices have the herb from that what
does a Rand Paul want to see out of the Supreme Court pick someone who reads the
Constitution as it was intended is aware of the original intent of the the
framers of the Constitution and understands basically if they wanted a
very small government it did very little in the marketplace and actually had a
very modest and moderate foreign policy that made it difficult to go to war we
only went to war when Congress voted on it so a constitution that was not only
thought it was important to protect privacy but you know John Adams said
that James Otis's arguments against general warrants or writs of assistance
he said it was the spark that led to the revolution so Fourth Amendment privacy
issues are very big for those of us who believe in the original interpretation
of the Constitution all I can say that don't know everyone on the list but I do
think that Neal corsets who is at the top of the list has turned out to be a
great justice and if we can get any more similar to Neal Wars which I'll be
exceedingly happy Senator Rand Paul very good seeing you thank you very much
thank you all right then there is the religious
issue involved here the right to life issue involved here roe v-- wade and so
much here what's at stake with evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats
after this
alright you could mark it consistently and like clockwork every time it's
Supreme Court position opens up the first issue that comes to mind is roe
v-- wade right to life the whole abortion issue comes back and what role
and what thoughts that particular justice has or potential justice has on
these matters it's an important matter that's next guest the president CEO of
the Family Leader Bob Vander Plaats but they're gonna have you how crucial is
that issue to you I mean I above others with others among others what it's the
cornerstone of all their issues Neil I think this is an opportunity to restore
a culture of life in this country that honors God and blesses people we
definitely see this as an answer to prayer I think it also marks that this
might be the most consequential election 2016 at least in my lifetime the one
versus Hillary and president Trump because of Gorsuch is a standard we'd
like to see another Gorsuch on that court now you might be surprised those
on the Left feel a little differently and they have even ERDs that this be put
off on how do you feel about that well I don't think it should be put off and
we're thrilled to have our own senator Iowa's u.s. senator being chaired the
Judiciary Committee chuck Grassley he's the one who actually pushed it back
until we had the presidential election but this isn't a presidential election
we do at President Trump he's going to appoint the next Supreme Court justice
nominee and I believe this Senate is going to confirm his desire even if it
got pushed off me I think we're gonna do is you see a rallying of the base when
they thought the base on the right was not going to be energized this time
that's the base of the race going to be very energized they see what's at stake
as you mentioned the culture of life is at stake you know you think about it -
they might be careful what they wish for right because there's a possibility that
if they waited the number of Republicans in the Senate could actually increase
regardless what happens in the house and so that's where all the action will be
on this appointment but having said that there is a sense that do we just reverse
row v Wade but what do we do going for what would be your preference going
forward well in Iowa we took a major step this past legislative session we
passed heartbeat legislation signed by Governor Reynolds that whole legislation
was aimed and purposed to take down roe v wade because nil you understand the
crux of the roe v wade argument was if we could ever determine that that baby
was a person that whole case collapses a heartbeat does that we knew the courts
were going to be changing we didn't know candy was gonna be retiring but we knew
of Gorsuch there and if Kennedy did retire or Ginsburg stepped off the court
we knew Trump was going to be a constitutional conservative president
who would appoint constitutional conservative judges and we have a chance
to take down roe v wade this is a historic moment in the pro-life
community today let me then go on to gay marriage Bob there there's a sense that
that is now settled law and that the Supreme Court has settled it not once
but twice technically three times do you agree with that no I don't agree with it
I think God's designed for marriage and family we will revert back to that I
think the reason you're seeing Senator Schumer and others being so upset about
what's taken place today everything that they've run through and got passed has
been through the courts it hasn't been through the people hasn't
been through the elected office holders and now the courts are changing and so
we think marriage needs to be debated again and I think we think we use the
people should be decided reverted back do you mean that marriage it can only be
accepted between a man and a woman yeah I do believe that absolutely those
marriages that we've seen same-sex marriages that we'd seen would it be
your view then Bob that that this new configured Supreme Court down the road
assuming it's more conservative should recognize that as well and upend all of
these gay marriages well I think what we should do as a culture is return back to
the way God designed and intended it and that is between a man and
woman those are the parameters with that one that would be very big news to a
number of gays and those who welcome these three decisions technically three
that has now seen marriage in that expanded light you do not and you don't
think we should no I don't think we should and I I think we're going to
continue to have this conversation as a country but we're do it in the right
process and that's why I think what you saw with your previous guests Rand Paul
wanting a constitutional conservative Supreme Court justice who understands
it's not their job to make law and it's not their job to rewrite the
Constitution a constitutional amendment is done by we the people not by five
Supreme Court justices so I think there's going to be a lot of issues up
for debate but in large part this is a very exciting day for those who believe
in the fabric of the Constitution today Bob Vander Plaats the CEO the Family
Leader thank you very good seeing you good seeing you too thank you new well
right he was a Democratic vice-presidential candidate an
independent United States Senator if it being a Democratic senator the prominent
leader on this whole issue that's about to come up to his old colleagues in the
United States Senate what does Joe Lieberman make of what the good Reverend
just said of what Ron Paul has been saying and what everyone seems to be
saying in between about a royal a battle to come of course from Rand Paul and
others
