This is how we do it: the E.ON Hackathon - Duration: 1:34.

In all of Design Terminal's events, it's key that we work together with our partners.

That's why we organized the activities for these 24 hours and selected the best mentors

to assist the teams, so they can get real results by the end of the event.

The hackathon is basically a contest of ideas, so teams don't arrive here with a solution set in stone.

More than 70 teams applied from all over the country,

and we selected 15 of them for the hackathon.

A primary purpose during the selection was

that we wanted to see people with different competencies at the event –

social scientists, designers, mathematicians, programmers,

since such teams could produce comprehensive solutions

that would yield real results.

We want such inspiring ideas to be conceived here,

that even E.ON and Design Terminal couldn't say

that we would have thought of these solutions ourselves.

At an event like this, it is also important for startup teams to get acquainted –

not only with experts but also with corporate leaders. And this is a great opportunity

to experience what it's like to work for a big company as an employee or as a startup.

They can be introduced to a company's principles, workplace culture,

and everything else so they can create value for one another.
