Are you interested in using Instagram on your computer but you don't know how?

use Instagram from your computer and as an extra bonus I'll be showing you an
Instagram hack that you can use to upload photos and videos directly from
your desktop computer to the Instagram app. Now if you're someone like me who
uses Instagram all the time on the desktop you'll be saving so much time
and because Instagram is in mobile only app you'll be able to upload photos and
videos directly from your desktop without having to transfer to the phone.
It's a game-changer right guys? And remember to make sure that hit that
subscribe button and also notification bell so you'll be notified every time I
release a new video on a weekly basis. Hi there! I'm Laurie Wang, your online
marketing trainer and coach, helping you grow your audience faster with social
media and digital marketing strategies. And in this channel, I'll be sharing mini
execution plans, tips and tricks, and also behind-the-scenes secrets on how you can
grow your audience faster and also helping you to grow your profits online
with your business as well. I'm super excited that you're here with me and if
you're new here consider subscribing to the channel and
I look forward to connecting with you on a weekly basis. So let's dive into the
video! Now Instagram has made a lot of changes to the desktop site, so as a user
you actually have a lot of features at your disposal on the Instagram desktop
site. So I want to go through these features with you first, before we start
diving in into the extra Instagram hack that will help me to upload your
Instagram photos and videos onto the app directly from your computer. Okay first
of all you can actually view all your Instagram stories on the desktop site
and let's check it out. To use Instagram stories on your
computer first of all you can actually go to the right-hand when you first go
into Instagram.com on your browser. On the right hand side, you can actually watch all stories
so tap watch all and it will actually show you all the stories in your group
so whenever one person's story is finished it will then go to the next one
which makes it really really easy to use and when the story ends then it goes on to
the next person you follow. You can also use the search bar at the top to find
the profile that you want to search for so in this case I'll search for one of
my favorite travel accounts, and from here I can then click on the profile and
view their Instagram stories. To go forward and backwards, you simply use the
arrow on the left and right hand corner and number two you can also view your IGTV
on the desktop side as well. Now you can also view IGTV on instagrams
desktop site so in this case on Travel & Leisure's profile page right next to
their post there's a little icon that says IGTV and from here, I simply click
on IGTV and I can see all of their IGTV videos by clicking on each single one
and you simply click play here and it will play all the videos for you. You can
also see your own IGTV by going to your own profile, so in this case I can go to
the IGTV icon next to my posts and I can see all of my IGTV videos there. So
it makes it super easy for you to be able to view and also search for other
people's IGTV as well. Number 3, how to use saved post on your Instagram desktop
site you can also look at saved post on Instagram and you can view this by
clicking on your saved post icon next to IGTV with a little ribbon on it so when I
click on this I can see all the saved posts that I have done in the past and
essentially you can go back to them anytime to find that post again.
You can save the post by simply going to a specific post and then clicking on
this little ribbon button to save it to your safe post section. I find this super
easy for me especially if I have let's say a recipe that I want to refer back
to, I can simply click on the little ribbon button and then that will be saved
under my saved section. What's also really great about Instagram on desktop is that
you can actually go to a post and copy the text by clicking on command C on
your Mac or ctrl C on your Windows and essentially you can then paste that
somewhere else as well, which makes it super easy to save text and
unfortunately you still can't copy text on your mobile so by doing this on
Instagram's desktop it makes it super easy to copy and paste. To share a post
you can simply click on the post and then click on this little arrow button
and then you can choose to share to Facebook, to Messenger, Twitter, via email
or simply copy the link to the post to give it to someone else.
Number 4, how to use tagged photos on your Instagram desktop site. Now on
Instagram you can also use tagged photos as well on desktop, so in this case you
can go to the tagged button next to your Saved button on desktop, and here you can
see all the photos and videos that you were tagged in. Number 5, how to see
highlights on your profile and someone else's profile. To use highlights on your
Instagram desktop computer, you can view all the highlights by clicking them in
the profile. So in this case I can click on the highlight in my profile, and I can
use the arrow to go forward and backwards to see all the highlights in
different groups, as soon as one highlight group is finished, then it will
go on to the next group as well. So it makes it super easy to see
highlights on your computer, now to access someone else's highlights, you can
simply search for them, and you can click on their highlights to view them
by using the forward and backwards button. If you want to know more about how to
use Instagram Stories and highlights I've linked them to a video here for you
to check out so simply click on the cards on the top of my video and you can
go see that Instagram Stories step-by-step tutorial as well. Also if
you want to make Instagram work for you this year, on creating more followers,
engagements, clients, and customers and make more money on Instagram, then you
should download my free Instagram cheatsheet go to my description in the
YouTube video below and you can then click on that link to download. I'm going to
show you a hack and a shortcut on how you can actually post to Instagram from
your desktop or your laptop and not from your phone. So, let's be honest no matter
how big the screens of our phones have become these days, there's nothing like
the comfort of using a laptop and just imagine how much easier it can be to
type in your captions using your desktop or your laptop, or add the right hashtags
using your laptop's keyboard instead of that tiny little touch keyboard on your phone
but there's one problem right? If you try to do that before is that Instagram for
web does not allow you to post photos from your desktop browser am i right?
Well there's actually an easy way to hack your browser so that it lets you post
photos and videos directly from your laptop and your desktop. How amazing is
that? No longer you will have to transfer files back to your phone in order to
post it from your phone, and remember this hack worked really well on Safari
for both Mac and PC computers. Now you want to open Safari and you want to make
sure your developer tools are available so if you don't see the develop menu in
the menu bar right here, then choose Safari and then preferences
and then here click advanced and then from here select show develop menu menu
bar which is just down here. You see that? You want to click on this box saying
show menu in menu bar. Great, so once that's
done you should be able to see develop in your menu now in your Safari menu and you
want to click on develop in the top menu bar here and then user agent selecting
that option and then Safari iOS phone or iPhone so in this case is the iOS 11
iPhone. Great. So this automatically tells Safari to show any website as they would
be shown on an iPhone here and the magic here is that Instagram's responsive code
will then believe you actually are on an iPhone and unlock all the iOS app
features on this browser. It's amazing right? So that's it! It's that easy and
then from here you can literally go into Instagram and then this hack will let
you post photos in JPEG and edit your captions, it will also allow you to
search and add hashtags, tag other users and even add the location on your post so
for this last one you will have to enable location sharing from your
computer and it just makes it super easy to engage with your community so from
here now I'm on Instagram and you can see that is showing me exactly as it
would on an iPhone by showing this vertical feed right in my Instagram feed
and not only this hack will let you post photos JPEG specifically and edit your
captions, it will also allow you to search so you can see here I can
literally click that button and then it will let me choose the file that I want
to post it will also allow you to search and add hashtags
which is really cool. So you can tag other users you can even add a location
on your post for this last one just make sure you have enabled location sharing
from your computer, but it also makes it so much easier to engage with your
community by using this desktop to like and comment and reply to comments on
your own photos etc, so it's great and you can click on this bit to go to your
own profile and from here you can then go ahead and reply to comments etc so
makes it super easy. You also have the Explorer button or from here you can
search for different kind of accounts and profiles so again it just makes it
super easy to engage and also post images now directly from your desktop
now unfortunately Google Chrome it doesn't work as well so I've tested
myself using this similar kind of process and it really doesn't work as
well unfortunately but what you can do is obviously download Safari if you
don't have it and have a go in Safari. Safari worked super well from there. Did you
like this video? If you liked the video, hit like and subscribe and also hit the
notification bell so that way you'd be notified of future videos when I release
them on a weekly basis. And let me know in the comments, do you like using
Instagram on the desktop or on your mobile or maybe a bit of both? I look
forward to reading your comments and in the meantime, thank you so much for watching
guys and see you next week!
you
