National Vietnam War Veterans Day - Duration: 10:26.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day

On March 28, President Trump signed Senate Bill 305, the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition

Act of 2017 which designates March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

It was on this day in 1973 that the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam on this day in.

President Trump tweeted:

"Tonight I'm proud to sign S. 305, which encourages the display of the U.S. flag on

National Vietnam War Veterans Day tomorrow, March 29th."

U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA), who co-authored the bill with Joe Donnelly (D-IN), said, Some

of them were actually treated quite poorly.

And that was a tragic period in our history driven by people's perceptions of the war.

Fortunately, that, I think, is behind us now.

And I hope and I believe we've gotten to a place where the American people realize

how much we really should be grateful to the men and the women who served this country

in Vietnam during that very, very difficult time."

And Zachariah Pearson, director of McKean County, Penn.

Veterans Affairs added,

Vietnam veterans nobly served during a conflict which was not too popular during that time.

It's an absolute shame the way in which this country responded to the welcoming home

of our Vietnam veterans.

When they got home, they struggled to find employment, healthcare and places to go to

talk about some of the events that took place over there."

Many of us Vietnam Veterans remember the way we were treated as we returned home.

And many of us will continue to suffer from our participation in that war.

But we will never forget that

Out of the 2.7 million U.S. service members who served in Vietnam, more than 58,000 were

killed and more than 304,000 were wounded.

And we are thankful to all of you who come up to us and thank us for our service to our

country.

You may be unaware how much we appreciate that.GORSUCH WINS BIG!

Look Which Top 2 Democrats Pledged To Vote For Neil Gorsuch!

Senator Joe Manchin will now vote to confirm Neil Gorsuch to be the ninth justice Supreme

Court.

This is huge.

Here is Joe Manchin's statement:

"Senators have a constitutional obligation to advice (sic) and consent on a nominee to

fill this Supreme Court vacancy and, simply put, we have a responsibility to do our jobs

as elected officials," Manchin said in a statement Thursday.

"I will vote to confirm him to be the ninth justice on the Supreme Court."

BREAKING UPDATE: Now, Heidi Heitkamp is going to support Gorsuch for nomination as well.

She is a Democrat from North Dakota.

Here is her video statement:

Here is what Heidi Heitkamp said:

"After doing my due diligence by meeting with Judge Gorsuch and reviewing his record

and testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, I've decided to vote in favor

of his confirmation.

He has a record as a balanced, meticulous, and well-respected jurist who understands

the rule of law," she said in a statement. That's because Neil Gorsuch is a great choice.

During his time on the bench, Judge Gorsuch has gotten praise by both Democrats and Republicans.

He has been rated as a high-quality jurist.

Neil Gorsuch is gonna get in!

Get this out there.

The Democrats are folding.

Share this so that Trump can see the great news! (h/t Washington Examiner)SCANDAL ALERT!

Obama Changed This ONE Rule Just to SPY on Donald Trump!

Donald Trump was 100% right!

Barack Obama DID make a massive rule change right before leaving office just to get away

with spying on President Trump.

There was a longstanding rule that forced intelligence agencies to censor the names

of Americans intercepted during monitoring on foreign nationals before passing them on.

According to the new report from Circa.com, however, Obama made a last minuted switch

up that allowed him to target Trump and his team!

Obama changed a key rule that allowed him to unmask and then share the names revealed

with all of his top staff including, but not limited to, Susan Rice, John Brennan, and

Loretta Lynch.

The report also alleges that some of the intercepted reports gathered between November and January

concerned figures in Donald Trump's transition team who were communicating with foreign nationals.

Luckily, however, the NSA is expected to hand over a full and detailed report to Congress

soon revealing who and to what degree Obama abused this rule to spy on.

One source said,

"Wholesale access to unmasked incidental NSA intercepts essentially created the potential

for spying on Americans overseas after the fact, which is exactly what our foreign intelligence

arms are not supposed to be doing."

This is a very SERIOUS accusation.

If it is all true, and it seems more and more likely that it is, that means Obama violated

the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution that protects Americans from unlawful and unreasonable

search and seizures.

Of course, you and I both know the media will do their best to cover this up.

That's why it's up to us to SHARE this truth everywhere!Melania Rushes Out Of Female

Empowerment Event After Heinous Thing That Happened To Her

One would think that feminists would rally around other women, right?

Well, you would think that, but in this topsy-turvy world, you are very wrong.

You see, feminists only rally around women who think EXACTLY like them.

So, if you happen to have your own thought process they will shred you faster than you

could yell there is no such thing as patriarchy.

That was perfectly depicted yesterday when Melania Trump delivered a beautiful speech

at the State Department.

The first lady spoke at the Women of Courage Ceremony, encouraging women to be brave and

letting them know that they have a voice.

Of course, the liberal rag CNN covered the event and it is clear these fembots were in

a conundrum over it.

These feminist women wanted to appear tolerant and accepting of Melania since she is a woman,

but their hatred for Trump would not allow it.

One CNN guest, named Kate Bower could not mask her disdain for Melania at all.

So, Bower took the opportunity to bash the First Lady and then praise Michelle Obama.

Here is the full clip.

In case you missed it this what Kate Bower had to say.

"Well, another author said 'does she have a low profile?'

No, she has pretty much no profile at this point," she answered.

"I think there is a big question mark about what she's going to take on."

"We just saw that she hired a communications director, which I think could make a big difference

for her, but by this point in Michelle Obama's tenure, she had a staff around her.

She was very involved.

She had graced the covers of magazines and been a real force in Washington, and because

Melania Trump doesn't live here, we don't see much of her."

Jealousy much ladies?

Seriously gals, you all need to grow up already.

These women were so catty to Melania that they missed what woman empowerment really

is.

After the event, Melania rushed to take care of her other duties, like being a wife and

mother.

While the left may demean women who take these roles lightly, Melania does not.

And, if these women were truly about empowerment for all women they would be applauding her

and not ripping her to shreds.

H/T [ Daily Caller ]BOOM!

GDP Numbers Have Been Revised, And It's Every Democrat's Nightmare

Following the Trump administration coming into office the economy is doing better and

better by the day.

The gross domestic product has continued to increase.

In the final and third estimate of Q4 GDP, the BEA changed the prior estimate of 1.8%

to 2.1%.

It is being attributed to a sharp rise in consumer spending.

Consumer spending rose to 3.5% after previously being at 3.0% in Q2.

Consumption by itself was more than then entire GDP increase.

The second revision showed a 2.05% increase.

The real GDP spending increase is a result of a plethora of variables which include,

Consumer spending Private inventory investment

Residential investment Business investment

State and local government spending

In part though they were offset by declines in the department of exports and federal government

spending.

Imports are determined by subtracting the calculation of the GDP.

Look at some of the graphs below, Foreign travel, recreation services, gasoline

and other energy goods were the biggest economic contributors to the upward revision.

Purchase prices for American goods have increased 2.0% after consistently increasing over previous

quarters.

This did not include energy and food.

On other fronts, nonfinancial corporations decreased 4.9% in the fourth quarter while

there was a 5.4% percent increase in financial corporations.

Corporate profits increased in the United States 9.3%.

Overall under the Trump administration, the economy is slowly but surely getting better

and better.

Increases are never going to go in spikes but instead come in slow but consistent increases.

It is the President's pro-business policies that are no doubt playing a role in this success.

He has already rolled back anti-coal regulation as well as the halting of the Keystone and

Dakota Access pipeline.

Trump knows what it means to be successful and he is bringing that success to the American

economy.

We will only continue to win from here.

U.S. imposes 11.7 percent of duties on steel plate imports from POSCO - Duration: 0:45.

The U.S. Department of Commerce has decided to impose an 11-point seven percent duty on

steel plate imports from POSCO.

The penalty is about four-point-two percent higher than the department's preliminary decision

made last November.

But as Chinese companies were hit with nearly 320 percent, the amount levied for the Korean

steelmaker is considered moderate.

The department opened the case after three American steel firms filed a complaint that

POSCO and other foreign firms dumped plates in the U.S. market at lower than market prices

while receiving illegal government subsidies.

[Engsub/720HD] 081204 Eun Jiwon arrested in U.S Happy Together - Duration: 3:17.

( Jiwon and Handcuffs )

- I was once arrested by police. / - Why?

We went abroad for our Overseas performance,

we take airplane.

There're two smokers in our group.

( Attempted to smoke in airplane )

I checked the toilet.

- Ah, you're talking about yourself. / - He said I.

(Ooops)

At first I checked the situation.

But I found cigarette butts in there.

So I thought that's normal to smoke in here.

And my member...

...since I already revealed myself, I'll tell another one.

I told Kang SungHoon, we can smoke in toilet.

I went with him.

After we entered the room was too cramped for us.

Suddenly I locked eyes with a foreign stewardess who's waiting outside.

Although we postponed our attempt, but there are cigarettes in toilet and we just get out from there.

She blamed us for those.

Since those weren't ours I got upset.

"Those aren't ours, we didn't smoke."

She said " I've seen all."

" I swear to God."

" I don't believe it, I've seen all."

Sunghoon and I felt cornered, "Are you crazy? I said we didn't smoke." I told her with Korean words.

She seemed really mad, "Please return to your seats."

" I will see you later."

" See what? it will be the last time we meet."

I was thinking like that.

( Feel relieved )

" Sunghoon, we're almost in big trouble."

When we got off from the plane, she's standing at arrivals gate.

" Is this what she meant? I thought she waits to say goodbye"

- She's waiting for you. / - Yes, she was.

But suddenly in front of her two U.S cops appeared from the gate.

They handcuffed us in no time.

And she mocked us "Did you see that?"

I learned something...

...all Korean words that are said to be sharply is an insult.

First, they lead us out from airport to the...

... how do I call it? A hospice.

- You're investigated there? / - What do you mean a hospice?

When I got there our Boss from the agency went after and settled it down.

" How can be Idols got handcuffed."

- Did you get good settlement? / - I couldn't utter any English in front of them.

- Did you understand what they said? / - I did clearly.

About the current situation we're facing and what kind of charges they wanted to apply to us.

But I couldn't answer him in English.

- Was everything okay? / - The boss barely settled them nearly four hours.

Behind the Science: Chromatography 101 with Joe Arsenault - Duration: 4:56.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

Welcome to another episode of Behind the Science--

Rockstar Edition.

I'm your host, Jennifer Fournier.

The cornerstone of many rock star bands here at Waters

have always had one key instrument--

the liquid chromatography instrument, or LC for short.

So my first stop on our blast from the past journey

is to find Joe, our in-house chromatographic instructor,

who has been with Waters for more than 40 years.

He has taught so many of us here the basics of chromatography.

So the question I have for you is, do you believe in magic?

Let's join him in his classroom, to find out more.

Welcome to Liquid Chromatography 101.

Class is about to begin.

Sh!

In liquid chromatography, the prime question

is to retain, or not to retain.

That's how we get our separation.

The best part of learning about chromatography

is actually seeing it work.

So we're going to do a very simple experiment.

I'm going to pick up a little bit of black ink.

And I'm just going to use a paper towel.

And, if you watch, as I drop the black ink onto the paper towel,

you see sort of something developing.

But the magic of chromatography happens when I add some water

to that paper towel.

And what we're going to do is you

can take this black-ink solution,

and it will develop a beautiful separation of, in this case,

here, reds and green.

This next experiment, we're going

to move from paper chromatography

to an actual liquid chromatographic cartridge.

What we have here is a plastic tube

with some white silica powder inside.

OK?

Now we're actually going to put the sample

through the cartridge.

And you can follow it going through.

And notice how we actually are getting a separation

to take place.

But in this case, here, the chromatographic device

has much more power, and it is actually

separating a blue compound from a yellow compound.

And on the paper towel, there was no separation.

And now that you've seen liquid chromatography

with your very own eyes, you have your own paper towel,

so let's do some liquid chromatography, yourself.

Wow, it's like magic!

But Joe, hasn't chromatography advanced since then?

Yes, it has, Kim.

Take a look at this!

On this screen, you can actually see the amazing advancements

that have taken place.

We have gone from HPLC, over here on the left.

And we have an analogy, here, to an acoustic guitar--

relatively limited.

Far to the right, we have the H-Class UPLC.

And we have an analogy, here, to an electric guitar.

So you can see that UPLC can give you much more power.

And then, in the middle, we have our hybrid instrument

that does both HPLC and UPLC.

And we have a modified electric guitar and a little synthesizer

in there, to help out.

So, over the years, you have an increasing amount

of power and capability for separating compounds

in your laboratory.

Now let's follow the actual flow path

of a liquid chromatographic instrument.

Up on top left, we see the mobile phase being drawn out

of the vessel, into the pump, which

is going to be pumping the liquid constantly

through the instrument.

It flows from the pump into the injection

component of the instrument and then into the column,

out of the column, into the detector,

where the detector senses the different compounds that

are being separated, and then, eventually,

into the liquid waste.

What a great class.

I hope you understood what happens

in the world of liquid chromatography.

So, go forth and separate!

Thank you very much!

[CHEERS]

I believe in magic, all right.

Chromatography is a powerful tool.

And, as Joe said, we only scratched

the surface in his 101 class.

But if you ask me, if I had to choose

between an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar,

I would choose electric every time.

For this episode, check out the link below for access

to the primer books that were mentioned,

which are great intros to liquid chromatography or UPLC.

And join us next time for another episode of

Behind the Science--

Rockstar Edition.

Did Russia Ever Interfere In The US Elections Putin Answers Watch My Lips, No - Duration: 2:19.

Did Russia Ever Interfere In The US Elections Putin Answers Watch My Lips, No

by Tyler Durden

Speaking at a CNBC-moderated panel, Russian President Vladimir Putin once again said that

accusations of Russian interference in the US presidential elections are "lies" used

for "domestic American politics."

"We said on numerous occasions and I reiterate that we are confident And know for sure

that opinion polls in the Unites States show that very many people are friendly towards

the Russian Federation and I'd like to tell these people that we perceive and regard the

United States as a great power with which we want to establish good partnership relations,"

Putin said and added "All those things are fictional, illusory and provocations, lies.

All these are used for domestic American political agendas.

The anti-Russian card is played by different political forces inside the United States

to trade on that and consolidate their positions inside."

Putin refuted the findings of a January ODN report which in January found that "Russian

President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential

election.

Russia's goals were to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate

Secretary (Hillary) Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency.

We further assess Putin and the Russian government developed a clear preference for President-elect

Trump," the report said, adding that intelligence agencies have "high confidence" in that assessment,

although have yet to release any of the facts backing the assessment.

FInally, Putin explicitly denied that Russia meddled in the U.S. elections.

Putin quoted George Bush when asked if the "Russian government had ever tried to influence

the outcome of the US presidential election, and there will be no evidence found?" to which

he responded "Watch my lips, no."

U.S. imposes 11.7 percent of duties on steel plate imports from POSCO - Duration: 0:40.

The U.S. Department of Commerce has decided to impose an 11-point seven percent duty on

carbon and alloy steel plate imports from POSCO.

The penalty is about four-point-two percent higher than the department's preliminary decision

made last November.

But as Chinese companies were hit with nearly 320 percent, the amount levied for the Korean

steelmaker is considered moderate.

The department opened the case after three American steel firms filed a complaint that

POSCO and other foreign firms dumped cut-to-length plates in the U.S. market at lower than market

prices while receiving illegal government subsidies.

Putin Talks About Street Protests and Influence on US Elections - Duration: 12:11.

Russia is unlikely to change its priorities in the Arctic,

and its plans to develop this region are absolutely justified.

This was stated by Vladimir Putin today in Arkhangelsk,

while speaking at the forum The Arctic - the Territory of Dialogue.

The President also said that he had instructed

to study the issue of creating a separate structure

that would develop the Northern Sea Route.

However, given the international nature of the forum,

as well as the number and status of the guests,

other topics, including those related to politics, were raised in Arkhangelsk.

They were about the situation in the world, about relations with the United States,

and about Russian internal affairs.

Alexander Balitsky reports from Arkhangelsk.

The giant Arctic tanker Christophe de Margerie

cuts through thick arctic ice like a can opener.

With the size of three football fields,

this ship does almost impossible - turns in its own length.

And, for the first time, it enters the port of Sabetta.

Such a tanker can transport 170 thousand cubic meters of liquefied gas at once.

President Putin congratulated the crew through video communication from Arkhangelsk.

This new ice-class ship,

which, in fact,

has no analogues in the world,

is named after our great friend,

French entrepreneur de Margerie,

who tragically passed away.

This is very symbolic.

It will consolidate our relations,

even on this spiritual level, I would say.

A unique plant for liquefying gas was built from scratch

and will be launched this year.

Seven countries that participate in the project are the example of cooperation in the Arctic,

the prospects for development of which the Russian President

explained to the colleagues from Finland and Iceland.

President Johannesson was demonstrating his knowledge of Russian

one-on-one with the Russian President and for the wide audience.

Actions speak louder than words.

It can be said that the Arctic Forum attracted a lot of attention

judging by the number of television cameras.

Journalists came from Northern Europe, Asia, Canada, and the United States.

But the moderator of the discussion, host of the American CNBC Jeff Catmore,

recalls the favorite Washington topic about the "Russian hackers"

and alleged interference in the American elections.

I knew that it would end up here.

I really would not like to see

the positive things that arise when discussing the Arctic

being mixed with the problems of the bilateral Russian-American relations.

But, out of respect for you, Jeff,

out of respect for your company, CNBC,

which, probably, ordered you to ask such questions,

I will just have play along.

Well, firstly, I want to thank you for raising the issue

and saying that there is a problem of Ukraine and Crimea,

as if dividing Crimea and Ukraine, and this is correct.

Now about the essence of your question.

We see the United States and treat it as a great power

with which we want to establish

very friendly partnership relations.

Everything else is a lie and fiction about Russia,

and a provocation.

All this is used for the US domestic political agenda.

But the CNBC host won't stop.

I want to clearly understand and clearly state this.

You, the Russian government, have never tried to influence the results of the elections in the US?

And the evidence of this will never be found?

Read my lips: no.

Finnish President Niinistö,

who told the Russian president at the end of the forum

that he was interested to learn how the world looked from the point of view of Putin,

offered Helsinki as the place of the first meeting between Putin and Trump.

Putin doesn't mind.

By shifting the emphasis farther away from the Arctic and getting closer to politics,

Putin was asked to comment on recent protests.

The Russian President compared them with the beginning of the "Arab Spring".

All these appeals are taking place

against the background of police violence,

say, against the protesters in Paris,

in connection with the murder

of one of the citizens right at his house,

a Frenchman of Chinese origin.

Therefore, the formulation of such questions

and appeals to Russia of this kind,

we believe that these are purely politicized issues

with the aim of putting some pressure on domestic political life in the country.

As for our domestic political developments.

We consistently advocate the fight against corruption,

which is quite a serious problem.

By the way, according to the opinion polls among other things,

it's becoming a smaller problem for us recently.

This is relevant for other countries, and we are dealing with it.

And people in the country see it.

I personally advocate that the issues of fighting corruption

should constantly be at the center of public attention,

and I always positively perceive this attention from people to these problems.

The only thing that I think is wrong

is when someone, some political forces try to use this instrument in their own interests.

Not to improve the situation in the country,

but for self-promotion in the political arena

on the eve of some political events,

including electoral campaigns in the country.

This tool was used at the beginning of the so-called "Arab spring".

We know very well what this led to,

what bloody events in the region it caused.

We also know very well

that it was one of the motives and reasons for a coup in Ukraine.

We also know very well

to what chaos these events led our neighbor Ukraine.

Therefore, I say yes to the fight against corruption.

And I say no to the use of this tool for narrow-minded political purposes.

And everyone should act in the course of political processes

within the framework of the law.

Anyone who is beyond the scope of this law must be punished in accordance with Russian law.

The West is trying to influence the Russian policy with the help of sanctions.

They, of course, hurt both business and ordinary people.

In connection with the Crimean events,

they imposed sanctions against individuals

who had nothing to do with these events.

They had no idea what had been planned.

They learned what was happening from the mass media.

But the sanctions were imposed.

So where are human rights in this?

They closed their accounts,

and now these people can't even use the funds to pay for surgeries for family members, and so forth.

Well, what are we talking about?

What human rights are we talking about?

So, they must be observed in one situation

and mustn't in the other?

Well, there is no logic and no equal approach to these issues

that exist in the modern world.

It is necessary to fix this.

Can it be done or not? It can.

However, sanctions almost didn't affect the Arctic projects.

There are almost 150 of them.

Washington is looking for new ways of putting pressure.

Here is Mr. Ambassador of the United States.

He came to our forum.

He communicates with all the participants,

he can communicate with the members of the government,

with the representatives of major Russian companies.

We don't hinder this,

but, on the contrary, we promote it, we help.

But

the contacts of our ambassador in the United States are limited.

Any of his meetings are perceived with hostility,

as some kind of a espionage action.

Isn't this delirious?

Why is the ambassador there?

In order to communicate with people,

maintain contacts with the political elite,

with businessmen, members of the Congress and the Senate,

with members of the government and administration.

And why did he come there?

This is a worldwide diplomatic practice.

I think that this isn't advantageous for the majority of the American people

to bring Russian-American relations to nonsense

in favor of the internal political calendar.

What do we want?

To discontinue our relations?

To bring the situation back to the 60s, to the Caribbean crisis?

And then what?

In fact, what do people who behave irresponsibly lead all of us to,

including the people of the United States?

It seems to me that this is a big mistake.

I very much count on the fact that once,

and the sooner the better, the situation is normalized.

Is the Arctic a place for fighting or a place for dialogue?

We are working on a dialogue.

What is the main goal of the US in the Arctic?

The United States was there from the very beginning as the head of the Arctic Council.

We are very proud of what has already been done together with our partners, including Russia.

It is the Arctic that forms the climate on the planet.

We are a small country, we don't even have our own army.

Do you need help?

And what seems a little incomprehensible for small Iceland

is the subject of constant attacks from Washington in Russia.

Blaming Russia of strengthening their military bases in the Russian Arctic region,

the United States seem to have forgotten how they deployed the ABM system in Alaska.

If what we do is of a local nature,

then what the United States does in Alaska is global.

There, they are developing the system of anti-missile defense.

And it's known that these systems are one of the most serious problems of the world today

in the sphere of security.

It's not just a defense system,

it is part of the nuclear potential that has been brought to the periphery.

And this is not something that prevents a nuclear missile attack,

it minimizes the so-called retaliatory strike.

But we can work together.

Washington, for example, has repeatedly spoken about joint actions in Syria.

Although it isn't easy to build a dialogue with NATO.

When Helsinki was concerned

that they couldn't identify Russian military aircraft over the Baltic,

as Russia and NATO had different control systems,

Moscow proposed unification.

We announced that we were ready for this.

We held a meeting in Brussels

and heard the following answer.

"No. NATO countries won't do this."

But ask them why.

I honestly don't understand why.

First of all, their activity is several times higher than ours.

After that, they are trying to blame us for some kind of aggressive behavior.

Well, do you know what it is?

It's just a conversation in favor of the poor.

This is for the media.

But the experts remember it and know about it.

How to get out of such a difficult situation?

The Scandinavians, who are usually reserved in their emotions, turned out to be quite specific.

If there is tension, what can be better than the cool Arctic

in order to cool all these hot emotions?

It's hot Finnish guys who are saying this!

It is necessary to listen to them.

Against the background of global warming,

it seems that the ice in the relationship should also melt.

And the International Arctic Forum once again set the priorities,

and for Russia the main thing is the development of its own territories.

Alexander Balitsky, Pyotr Ravnov, Stanislav Ponomarenko,

Valeri Glushakov and Sergei Samokha, Vesti from Arkhangelsk.
