Hello, hello!

There are a lot of people out there who take it upon themselves to decide whether someone

is faking a disability or faking an illness based on what they believe is evidence of it.

Assuming someone is faking a disability or doesn't really need the accessibility resource

they are using is prejudice and can often lead to verbal harassment, threats, or physical

violence.

Maybe what these folks don't understand is that it's usually the opposite,

we're not faking sick, we're faking well.

When I walk a short distance completely unaided and have a mobility aid waiting for me in

the car…

Faking well.

Also when I drive on my own: Faking well.

When I take my power chair out of the trunk and ride it into a space…

Faking well.

When I go into a movie theater in my power chair and get up in order to take the few

steps into a theater seat…

Faking well.

When I get out of my power chair, fold it up, and put it back in the trunk of my car…

Faking well.

When I get up to pull my chair up a step in an inaccessible space: Faking well.

When I walk unaided in a small space: Faking well.

When I get up from my chair to reach for something: Faking well.

When I dance for a few seconds: Faking well.

When I tap my feet: Faking well.

When I cross my legs: Faking well.

When I wear old worn out shoes: Faking well.

When I put down my cane: Faking well.

When I put on makeup: Faking well.

When I laugh: Faking well.

Again walking unaided: Faking well.

When I have to ride of one of those giant, clumsy, HELLA slow EV shopping carts, you

know, because it's SUCH a thrilling experience to ride one…

Faking well.

The point is, you cannot really ever say someone is faking a disability just because

their disability is not apparent or visible to you.

People do not have to appear sad and fragile for you, people do not have to use mobility

aids in the only way you've ever seen them represented just because that is the only

way you've ever seen them.

Unfortunately, it's because of this lack of representation and visibility that people

are often so misinformed, and they take this misinformation about disabilities and unfortunately

they will assume themselves as vigilantes and perhaps protecting disabled people or

defending disabled people when they accuse others of faking, when in fact, because of

this ignorance, you might be harassing, or assaulting, or scolding the very person that

you think you're trying to defend.

Send this video to somebody who needs to see it, rewatch it as many times you need to let

the imagery burn in your head!

[LAUGHS]

That disability is not binary, it's not always gonna be black and white, on or off,

disability has A LOT of room for fluidity and spectrums and it looks different on every body.

Thanks so much for listening, I will see you eventually.

Bye!

Is Liverpool Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah the best midfielder? ● News Now - transfer ● #LFC - Duration: 2:10.

Liverpool delivered one of their best performances of the season against West Ham United at the

weekend.

Sadio Mane returned to the starting eleven and his influence was clear to everybody watching.

Liverpool are a much better team when he is on the pitch and they were a lot more dangerous

on the counter-attack with both Mane and Mohamed Salah on the pitch.

They are the two biggest goal threats in the squad, but which one is better to own in Draft

Fantasy?

At this stage, Salah has played more minutes in the Premier League.

His current attacking contribution stands at seven goals and two assists, with a goal

involvement every 94.9 minutes.

There is an expectation that he will continue to score regular points, even if his goal

involvement does get slightly worse as the season progresses.

He averages 3.81 shots and 1.69 chances created per ninety minutes.

However, when looking at his underlying stats, Mane isn't as productive as Salah.

He is averaging 2.88 shots and 1.23 chances created per ninety minutes.

His shot accuracy of 50% is also lower than the Egyptian who hits 70% of his shots on

target.

The fact that his goal involvement per minute is lower than his team-mates, but his underlying

stats appear worse suggests that the quality of his end product is better.

Salah's current ranking in the game may lead many to thinking he is the better option,

but there is every chance that Mane outperforms him over the rest of

the season.

FACT or FICTION - "Lost at Sea" [Season 1, Episode 1] (YouTube Original Show) - Duration: 17:11.

The deep blue, a cobalt expanse of awe and wonder.

Is it a marvel of our own unique world or a dormant terror that breeds nightmares and

thrives on peril?

That may sound dramatic, but consider the tales of these recreational and professional

mariners.

Against the odds, they fought against themselves, the ferocity of Mother Nature and the passing

of time to return to solid ground.

Or did they?

Can you decide which of these three stories of people lost at sea are true and which were

derived from the imagination?

The line that divides the factual from the unreal has long since blurred, the tales we

once thought fantastical now implanted as truth.

To decipher verity from the imagined, you must break from the ordinary and consider

a universe where the outlandish prevails.

Can you expand your mind to see beyond our perceived reality?

Can you decide what's fact or fiction?

The ocean takes up about 361 million square-miles of the world's surface.

It's a large number that's almost unfathomable – that is until you find yourself drifting

along it.

Brenda Wagner was excited to take on a simple job, sailing a yacht across the United States

coastline when she found out just how immense the oceanic world is.

Story # 1: And Then There Were Two…

It was a simple job: Serve as crew aboard a 58' yacht scheduled to sail from the Hamptons

in New York to a port in South Carolina.

Brenda grew up on yachts and spent much of her teenage years working as part of the crew,

so with four other experienced sailors, transporting the 58-footer would be a breeze.

Along with Tom Hendrickson, Lacy Vaughn, Geoffrey Hayson, and Lenah Taggerton, Brenda set sail

down the eastern coast.

The crew bonded well over the first leg of the lengthy journey, stopping briefly in Little

Creek, Virginia before continuing on to finish the trek to Port of Charleston, South Carolina.

The further south they sailed, closer to the Gulf Stream of North Carolina, the seas started

to show signs of nearby inclement weather, and before the crew of five could decide how

to handle the unexpected cell, 45' waves came crashing down on them.

Unable to withstand the force, the yacht foundered and was slowly lost to the rough seas, leaving

Brenda and the yacht's crew stranded on an 11' inflatable raft.

With Lenah suffering from a deep gash sustained during the sinking, Brenda, Tom, Lacy, and

Geoffrey struggled to remain calm, their thoughts bouncing between survival and hopelessness.

The first day passed, then the second, and the lack of supplies proved to be their undoing.

Their painful thirst only had one viable remedy and so Lacy and Geoffrey turned to the salty

ocean water for relief.

It wasn't long before dehydration led to delirium, the sea water only worsening their

thirst.

Brenda hoped to reason with the two when they started talking about leaving their floating

sanctuary, but it was no use.

It didn't take long for predators of the deep to be alerted to their prey and though

they and the raft drifted apart, their screams could still be clearly heard in the still

night air.

A lack of medical provisions left Lenah with a fatal infection that coursed through her

body slowly and painfully.

Helpless, Brenda and a weakened Tom did what they could to comfort her, but there was little

relief to be found as the infection took its toll, killing the third crewmember.

By the fifth day, after two crew members had been eaten alive by sharks and another killed

by spreading infection, giving up would have been so much easier for the remaining two,

and though it was a thought that resounded within their minds, the decision was ultimately

left to fate.

A miraculous rescue happened upon them, a British cargo ship that pulled them from what

could have been their watery grave and returned them to the United States, ending their five-day

nightmare.

This all sounds plausible, but what about the fate of Geoffrey and Lacy?

Can we trust that they were eaten alive by sharks without provocation?

Or maybe they sustained injuries and Brenda's recount left that crucial detail out?

Share your thoughts in the comments, but before we go to the reveal, we have a question: Have

you ever been so terrified that you completely lost yourself?

Mark Wright experienced the power of fear firsthand.

And the results?

Well, we'll just have to see.

Story # 2: Facing Your Fear Mark was never fond of water, a fear that

started when a strong current pulled him under, nearly drowning him.

The memory would hit him randomly and cause his heart to race, but it was at its worst

near large bodies of water.

His fear only complicated matters when he fell in love 16 years later.

Time with Teresa was uncomplicated and filled with laughter and dreams of the future, but

Mark always found there to be one divide that, while not detrimental to their relationship,

kept him from enjoying something Teresa loved.

She was always fond of the sea and, two years before meeting Mark, had purchased a powerboat

to escape the world in.

Summers in Long Beach once meant enjoying the open ocean and the salty air, but with

Mark's persistence to remain on land, guilt kept her grounded.

Two summers together passed before Mark mustered the willpower to not let his fear control

him.

Though he dreaded what the experience would do to his anxiety, he found himself enjoying

the feeling of freedom as he let go of his childhood shackles.

As California faded into the distance, Teresa stopped the boat to enjoy the solitude and

quiet with her love.

The hours passed and the Sun started to creep towards the horizon, forcing the two to return

to the docks, but as Teresa tried to turn the engine over, she was met with an uneasy

silence.

Panic quickly set in for Mark as each attempt failed to bring the engine to life.

Teresa kept calm and called in a mayday to the main land, but she found Mark inconsolable.

As the minutes passed, his condition worsened, his pulse raced, his breathing came harder

and faster, and his mind fogged.

Teresa's comforting words were drowned out by the thumping of his heart and she didn't

realize how lost he was until she tried to hug him to her and hide his eyes from seeing

the empty horizon, hoping it would soothe him.

He felt trapped in his girlfriend's arms and fought to break free and it was then that,

beneath the pounding in his ears, he heard Teresa yelp before water splashed against

his face.

When he opened his eyes, he was completely alone, the boat rocking gently as small ripples

rolled underneath.

Teresa was gone, the only sign of her being the small spot of blood on Mark's knuckle.

Deep beneath the panic that near completely clouded his mind, he wanted to dive in and

find her, but his muscles and fear refused to let him.

When he was finally found drifting aimlessly after the morning's sunrise, he said nothing

and was visibly shaken.

After a few days in the hospital, Mark found his voice and recovered enough to confess

to Teresa's murder.

Overtaken by fear and panic, can we lose ourselves so much that we hurt the ones we love?

Shouldn't the fear of losing Teresa have trumped Mark's own paranoias about drowning?

Anxiety can be a powerful thing but so, too, is love; so, are we throwing you for a loop

or is this rooted in reality?

Give it your best guess in the comments and see how strong your intuition is, but before

we find out, we have one more high-seas excursion to go on, this time across the Pacific.

Captain Sanae Hamamoto was an experienced Japanese captain who, after years of sailing,

was going to get a taste of how unforgiving the ocean really is.

Story 3: 484 Days Hamamoto knew the Pacific waters as if they

were his home.

His first taste of the great salt vastness was at the age of 15 and, since then, he had

made it a point to work on whatever ship offered the opportunity.

Fourteen years after his obsession with the high seas formed, he took command of the Yoshino,

a small frigate that often sailed between outlying provinces and Edo, or present-day

Tokyo.

Hamamoto took pride in his ship and loved being out at sea, but during a routine trip

between Takahagi and Endo, his admiration for the Pacific waters forced him to live

out a 15-month nightmare.

This particular expedition was met with rough seas as a storm rolled in from the east.

Though the Yoshino was a strong ship and had been at sea for years, the experience of her

captain and her crew weren't enough to save her from the elements.

Heavy winds, towering waves, and blinding rain overtook the vessel and during the ensuing

chaos, her helm and mast were irreparably damaged.

The crew survived the storm but then found themselves drifting east.

The loss of the mast and helm left Hamamoto with no control over where the Yoshino went

and so the crew let the waters guide them to safety.

The long journey that followed was arduous and the complete helplessness and lack of

control caused a rift among Hamamoto's crew, but the captain resolved to keep his ship

together until they reached land – if that ever were to happen.

After the first few months drifting across the Pacific, it was clear that the likelihood

of any rescue was slim, and it wasn't long until Hamamoto was forced to start dumping

his crew at sea as they passed away, either at each other's hands or illness.

The ship continued its aimless trek, even as the crew dwindled and the time at sea broke

the year mark.

By the 484th day at sea, the Yoshino was a ghost ship, the number of inhabitants reduced

to just three.

Hamamoto may not have been the same, proud captain he was over a year ago when his ship

set sail, but he was alive, and before the day was over, he found that he would stay

that way.

While sailing in waters just off of California, a British vessel happened upon the aimless

Yoshino and helped guide it to the Californian harbor.

Fifteen months Hamamoto and his two remaining crew members were lost at sea, their lives

completely changed by the incredible and harrowing journey.

The three survivors of the Yoshino landed in the United State but wasted no time to

board a British ship sailing to Russia and then, a year later, taking a Russian vessel

to Hokkaido.

Over two years later, Hamamoto wasn't met with open arms and was instead forced to undergo

a lengthy investigation before being granted entry back to his hometown, where he pieced

his life back together.

Is it physically possible for anyone to survive being lost at sea for over a year?

Clearly, provisions on the Yoshino would have run out not long after being knocked off course.

As a man of the sea, though, maybe Hamamoto had the skills necessary to live through such

an ordeal?

What do you think?

Let us know in the comment section below right now.

Are you ready to find out how well you can decipher between fact or fiction?

Let's look back at tonight's three stories and find out which were born from reality

and which were fabrications of the imagination.

Do you remember the harrowing tale of Brenda, who was rescued at sea afloat an 11-foot raft?

Did you think this story was based on true events?

You'd be absolutely right.

The story is that of Deborah Scaling Kiley and Brad Cavanagh, who survived the sinking

of a yacht off the coast of North Carolina in 1982.

Mark Adams and John Lippoth abandoned the raft and really were eaten by sharks, while

Meg Mooney died from an infection.

How about the tragic attempt at growth in Mark and Teresa's story?

Was Mark faced with the murder of his beloved?

If you believe this was true, well, you'd be wrong.

Mark and Teresa don't exist and their horrific story was a creation of our own twisted minds.

As for that third story about the crew of the Yoshino, clearly nobody could survive

at sea for 15 months, so this was obviously another falsity conjured up by our writers,

right?

Sorry, but this was pulled right from the history books.

The tale is that of Oguri Jukichi, captain of the Tokujomaru.

Jukichi and two shipmates were the first Japanese nationals to enter the United States.

How well did you in tonight's video?

Did you look past the deception of our world and define the oft-blurred line that struggles

to separate lies from the truth?

Let us all know in the comment section below and should you find the urge to test your

perceptions again, be sure to subscribe and join us next time when we ask you to decide

what's fact... or fiction.

How to Download Original ISO Images of Windows 10, 8 or 7 x86, x64 📀💻 🛠️ - Duration: 4:42.

Hello everybody!

In this video, I'll tell you where and how to download an official image of any version

of Windows.

In spite of Windows having special built-in tools to automatically reinstall the operating

system or even make a clean installation, in some cases you may still need an original

ISO image of your Windows.

For example, if you need to write it to a disk or USB drive, install it onto a virtual

machine or another computer.

Visit our channel to find special videos about resetting Windows and creating a bootable

USB drive or CD/DVD with official Microsoft utilities.

You can find the links in

the description.

So, let's begin.

Previously.

Microsoft allowed people to download official Windows images.

However, at the moment users can only download and install a utility to create an installation

media – Media Creation Tool.

It creates an image of the operating system installed on the computer.

I will show you a trick to let you download an official ISO image of Windows 10.

To do it: • Go to Microsoft webpage to update Windows

or download Media Creation Tool.

I will give the link in the description • Open the Developer Tools option for this

page.

You can find it in your browser menu, or by pressing F12 or a key sequence Ctrl+Shift+I.

You can visit our channel and watch a video about hotkeys in popular browsers.

You will find the link in the description • In the developer tools window, click on

the icon shaped as a mobile gadget to start an emulator.

• And choose one of the suggested devices.

• And refresh the page.

• As you can see, it has changed.

• Now you close the Developer Tools, select Windows edition, language, bitness and specify

the folder where you want to download the image.

This method works for all browsers.

In Chrome, Opera and Yandex.Browser, the menu items and key sequences will be similar.

In Mozilla and Edge, they will differ a bit.

If you need an official image of Windows 7 or 8, or a particular version of Windows 10,

you can also download them.

However, you can't find them in Microsoft official website on your own.

That's why I recommend using a program called Windows ISO Downloader.

It downloads authentic ISO images of Windows and Microsoft Office from Microsoft website.

Find the link to its home page in the description:

To download an image of a particular version of Windows:

• Install and run Windows ISO Downloader • In the right-hand part of the window,

you will see three tabs: Windows, Office and Settings

• The settings are minimal.

• In the Windows tab, you can find a list of versions.

Check the one you need.

• In the menu that appears on the left, select operating system edition and confirm

your choice.

• Also confirm system language for Windows.

• Choose the system bitness.

• The download starts.

• You can use the downloaded image for your purposes.

In the same way, you can download one of the versions of Microsoft Office.

I will give direct links to official images of some versions of Windows in the description.

You are free to download and use them.

That is all for now.

If you found this video useful, click the Like button below and subscribe to our channel

to see more.

Thank you for watching.

Good luck.

L Lawliet - Justice or BOREDOM? (Death Note) | PhulAnalyses - Duration: 4:37.

Light Yagami and L are my two favourite characters of Death Note, and for good reason.

They both represent two sides of my favourite conflict in all of fiction (I dunno if I'm

just saying that because I'm currently in the Death Note mood), they are both such complex

characters, and there is a ton to analyze and theorize about them.

Now today I'll take a look at the character in this anime who is the most loved by the

fangirls, L Lawliet.

Also, remember there are spoilers ahead.

*INTRO*

Okay, so please just discard pretty much everything I said in my video analyzing L's ideologies

(which you should really watch by the way).

However, you must remember the part where I said that L does have a sense of justice,

supported by a Redittor, with a ton of evidence.

However, what I want to contradict is that L is a deontologist.

You see, I've been rewatching the series for the 420th time and something finally freaking

dawned upon me: L BELIEVES THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS.

Now in said video as a shitty scapegoat I said that "maybe during the Kira case he

became a utilitarian?"

But nope, he was a utilitarian since day one.

You see, he's always been saying that he would solve any case using any means possible.

The Kira case wasn't really a first, although it was possible he went the furthest in that

case.

Now please pause and watch my previous video on Light by clicking on the card, as it will

help you while watching this video.

Now here is the true duality of Kira and L: They are both utilitarians who are using their

senses justice to excuse them doing amoral acts due to their boredom.

L says he solves cases just for fun, and this was most likely true, while it is also most

likely true that L does have a sense of justice.

This is very similar to Light, where he had something that ticked off his sense of justice,

and he told himself and many others that he was doing it for justice, when in reality

it was out of boredom.

Same for L; the cases he solves are the only way he entertains himself, so he was bored,

until he found the Kira case, the most difficult case he's ever been in.

Just like Light, he convinced himself and many others that it was for justice, when

it was really out of boredom, but justice is still somewhat of a motivator.

Same way Light's sense of justice over time became a lust for power, L's sense of justice

over time just became L wanting to be right and to solve the case.

I mean, just take a look at a scene in episode 18.

Misa, L, and Light are in a hotel, and even after Light managed to clear the names of

Light and Misa by erasing their memories, L still persists that Light is Kira, and L

didn't want to be wrong.

At this point, he's willing to go to any lengths just to prove he's right.

I mean, he constantly complains about it throughout, which really pisses Light off, and explains

that that's the reason why he's willing to go to such lengths; he chains him and Light

together to keep watch of Light's activities, preventing him from having any privacy.

He goes to even greater lengths in the previous episodes, torturing and confining a young

lady, giving her minimal food and water, and only letting her go for washroom breaks.

All to catch Light.

Hell, he even admitted to the police that he'll do anything, anything, to catch Kira.

Throughout the series, we see him commit numerous crimes just to win.

First off, he set up Lind L. Tailor's death when he was supposed to be executed properly,

and without the public seeing it, and that definitely didn't happen.

Also, L installed surveillance cameras in Yotsuba's headquarters.

Furthermore, he stole Misa's cell phone (which Death Note 13 confirms it's a crime

when it is said that he commits a lot of crimes after stating that he stole Misa's phone),

he releases Misa and Light only under his decision and not the police's, and possibly,

many, many others off panel.

You can check out DuoReview's video if you want more information on that.

Finally, L was about to do something, use the Death Note, just to check the legitimacy

of the fake 13-day rule, and he would have done that if he hadn't died.

But then, there is a huge flaw: If he is utilitarian, then why does he believe that Kira is doing

the wrong thing?

I mean, both L and Light still need to latch on something they think is amoral before convincing

themselves, so why doesn't L like Kira's morals?

Well, it's likely that he believed that the end goal was still unachievable and futile,

and, judging from Kira's nature, he probably knew that Kira would stoop down to kill non-criminals

even if the world is free from criminals.

In other words, it's not like he believes that Kira's method in fixing the world is

bad, but rather that the end goal itself is bad.

Now besides just being likeable and funny, the reason I love L is because of these several

layers of his character, which add a whole new layer to the show, for me at least.

What Spirit Are You? Air Water Earth Or Fire? - Duration: 5:54.

What Spirit Are You?

Air Water Earth Or Fire?

Everything in this Universe is connected and nothing is a coincidence.

Often, we tend to forget that we are all spiritual beings experiencing human form and not a human being experiencing

spirituality.

We are all the Universe itself expressing ourselves as humans.

We come from the cosmos and have within us the 5 physical elements – Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Ether.

Ether is more recessive than dominant in nature.

Here's a basic description as to what and who you will be based on the particular element you connect with, the most.

For some people energies of all four elements is intense and they resonate with all four elements.

Identifying your own element –

#1.

Fire Element

Fire spirits are here to deliver messages to the world.

They have an eternal flame ablaze in their belly that always leads them to follow their dreams and conquer all.

They do not have to take major steps to tune into their true flame – by being true self simply can create magic,

unending for them.

They can deliver the message when they are true to self.

When not in balance, a Fire Spirit can become too aggressive and excessively dominant in nature.

They can bouts of energy episodes and can lash out at anyone hindering their way.

However, as they focus on the bigger picture and remember their core strength,

they begin to feel calm and find their semblance and sanity.

The problem with a fire spirit is, when they are out of sync they lose their ability to think clearly;

they have episodic anxiety attacks and they feel blocked in certain aspects of their life.

#2.

Earth Element

Earth Spirits are on this planet to heal.

Heal self, others and the world at large.

As they are natural healers they are drawn towards plants and their healing properties.

They are highly tuned to Earth and feel it internally, too.

Their aim is to make this place a better place for living.

When an Earth spirit awakens, it is because they have deep desire to heal.

They are very driven and do not mind taking responsibilities or to fulfil their duties.

They are born leaders and usually have a lot of space to accommodate people in life.

When out of balance Earth spirit can become very cold and they forget to hold on to the bigger picture.

They are distant and anxious.

They need to spend time in nature to find their balance.

#3.

Air Element

Air spirits are present on Earth to bring innovation and vision.

Their purpose is very divine and they are natural teachers and speakers.

Air elements are strong visionaries and bring a lasting change through their revolutionary ideas and beliefs.

They complete their journey through many lifetimes.

Air Spirits are guardians of peace and go at lengths to protect it.

They have the natural abilities to solve any issue and resolve conflicts.

Air spirits often begin to tune into their awakened selves through prophetic visions and dreams.

When out of balance they can sense conflict and close themselves from the situation rather than dealing with it.

They also tend to lose their connection with people and ability to heal or respond to difficult situations.

#4.

Water Element

Water Spirits are here to heal through the aspects of art, music and creativity.

Highly intuitive, they are very experimental with their creative side and explore it all with an open mind and heart.

Water elements are very sensitive to their surroundings and they can easily tap into people's energy,

it also happens even when they are not aware of it.

They have a gift of intuition and can tap into other people quite easily.

A water element can awaken through simply by knowing who they are and allowing their creativity to flow free.

A water element is of a non-conformist nature and when force to conform they lose their balance and are out of sync.

When out of balance they are left feeling drained and overwhelmed.

They become over sensitive and feel depressed and anxious.

It becomes very important for a water sign to deal with their emotional side.

Shedding that energy residue through tears helps a lot.

Do you connect with any of these elements or more than one?

I personally connect with all of them.

It is beautiful and empowering at the same time to get a deeper understanding of self.

Live Q&A about Vulnerable Road Us, Passing A Road Test, or Starting a CDL Career :: Smart Sunday #13 - Duration: 51:35.

Hi there smart drivers. Rick with Smart Drive Test talking to you tonight about

vulnerable road users and defining who vulnerable road user groups are and how

you can protect yourself as a vulnerable road user. Because at one time or

another we're going to be vulnerable road users pedestrians riders on

motorcycles cyclists and people on scooters mobility scooters mostly senior

citizens and other people who have mobility challenges and those types of

things those are what we're going to be talking about tonight so question is and

answers live stream this is smart Sunday number thirteen and we certainly

appreciate all the smart drivers that show up and talk to us and ask questions

and are successful in passing a road test and congratulations to all of the

people in the last week who have passed a road test and done all the work that

they need to do in order to be successful in that endeavor

as well if you are endeavoring to pass a road test have a look at the playlist

pass a road test mark the other thing that I did this week that you may or may

not be aware that there are playlists on different YouTube channels if people are

up on what they're doing and have divided a lot of the videos into

playlists so certainly have a look around at the playlist here on the

channel because one of the things I've done this week is I've divided the

turning videos on how to turn right and how to turn left into two separate

playlists so I have a out of turn right and and how to turn left playlists and

as well the other thing that I'm going to do is start organizing the videos

into observation and communication I also had a seeing and observing plays of

the played playlists that I generated for you as well so for anybody who's

going for a road test soon and coming up soon those will help you as well so for

those of you watching the live feed on the playback make sure you have a look

around for those playlists and the other endeavor that I've started this week as

well is

crash analysis smart so what I've done is I've been watching YouTube videos

with my mate Tim who has a channel on basic joomla tutorials for those you

don't know joomla is the competitor to wordpress and we tim and i both use

joomla for our websites it's a content management system and if you you know

need a website by all means look tim up at basic joomla tutorials and he'll be

able to help you out with web service and helping design your website and he

is very much about designing websites that you can build yourself and and do

content and the sorts of things so so crash nails too smart tim and i we're

working on that and i actually got some of that up so got that going this week

and did the first one on left-hand turns it seemed to be a theory this week on

our theme this week rather on doing left-hand turns and talk to you about

left-hand turns and how to stay safe and how to do that for the purposes of a

road test and what to do if you get caught in the intersection on the yellow

light and the light goes yellow and then to red and we'll talk a little bit more

about that as well so Andrews here hi Andrew receive my G last Wednesday

thanks for everything you are most welcome Andrew and that is great news

that you passed Bernice

didn't start driving until 55 and how is that going Bernice that you didn't you

had your license but you didn't drive how is how is that going for you sir are

you having any challenges with your driving and that sort of thing just let

us know there and we can talk about that maybe we can help you out as well so

yeah so we time a few people here and so yeah we've had some good success and I

do apologize if I'm tardy on getting to the comments been trying to get up on

that it's you know I as as the YouTube channel builds and is more and more

successful there tends to be a bit more work so it's really great as as our I

did not pass my test as I was watching inbuilt cameras that looked too much

turning yes as SAR you cannot use cameras for the purposes of a road test

you know that and yeah I wish you had to ask me that before maybe what I need to

do is I need to do a whole video on that that you can't use cameras in the

vehicle - for the purposes of your road test they really want to know that you

can drive a vehicle doesn't have cameras or other technological aids in it you

can drive a vehicle and still observe and scan and do the things you need to

do to be saved for the purposes of a road test and in terms of looking on a

road test what was it going to say built-in cameras technology yes but the

thing I was gonna say was is that the reason for that is because they believe

that you're not always going to be watching are driving the same vehicle so

if you get into a different vehicle you're gonna need to be able to do that

being able to observe and scan those types of things without technical

technological aids and that's the reason that they don't allow you to do that as

of yet with a vehicle but you know self-driving cars are coming in the

coming decades so they're there they're thinking that that's going to happen as

well Katie's here and bit confused about speed limits so I find it hearing - the

speed limit on my test but that's below the flow of traffic is that a ding

what's the best thing to do ok Katie so for purposes of speed on a

road test you have to do the speed limit or the flow of traffic whichever is less

so if you're doing the speed limit and it's less than the flow of traffic then

that's fine but just make sure you if you're on a multi Lane

that you stay over to the outside lane that's the slow lane and the other lanes

are for passing so yeah but that's okay so I'm adhering to

no no you do not want to Katie you do not want to keep up with the flow of

traffic if it's going above the posted speed limit for the purposes of your

road test you have to have a look you have to adhere to the posted speed

limit okay so make sure you do that it's the posted speed limit or the flow

of traffic whichever is less okay so quarry bricks for wheels is here just

finish my email thanks Cory I'll have a look at that after I do the live feed

tonight a few other odds and ends I got to do as well

Jamal thank you so much my problem is left turns and what is it Jamal that

you're having problems with in terms of left turn is it where to position the

vehicle is it pulling out and turning is a judging gap is that how fast you're

going on the turn what specifically are you having difficulty with in terms of

left turns for the purposes of preparing are you preparing Jamal for your road

test or do you already have your license just let me know that and I'll be able

to answer that for you so crash analysis so yeah this week we

were talking about left turns I did a video I had a comment from someone who

had some difficulty okay so Jamal said he's having trouble with speed there

I'll just talk about that and then I'll come back to the crash analysis Duff

Jamal on a left-hand turn you want to be doing somewhere between 15 kilometers an

hour 30 kilometers an hour or sort of 18 miles an hour to 30 miles an hour

depending on how big the intersection is so when you come up to the intersection

for your left-hand turn you want to put the front steer tires on the front cross

walk lane line and the reason that I advocate that and I've had discussion

about this with other drivers in the past is that you are committed to the

intersection but you're not in the intersection if something goes wrong and

we've seen this week in terms of the information that I presented on the

left-hand turns that left-hand turns are the highest risk maneuver for new

drivers and they're somewhat daunting for I would say veteran drivers as well

so if you're not in the intersection if something goes wrong you're probably

going to be stay out of trouble so that's the reason the other school of

thinking in terms of where you position your vehicle and when you're waiting to

make a left hand turn is to move into the intersection and try and get as many

vehicles through the intersection as possible I don't find that pans out as

well and I always stay with front steer tires in the front cross while walk line

so it works out you wait for the gap you judge your gap and then when it's when

you can go and if it's a busy intersection you're gonna have to wait

for the advance screen your or you're gonna have to go on the yellow so you're

gonna need to know that so you're gonna need to make sure that the other traffic

the gap is sufficient or the vehicles are coming to a stop before you go and

if it's a left-hand turn it's a multi-lane Road onto which you're

turning you're gonna have to turn into the left-hand Lane and then immediately

move over to the right-hand lanes signal mayor shoulder check and move

over to the right-hand lane as well if there are vehicles turning right from a

slip lane or what not and what I would suggest you do is look at the turning

right at complex intersection I'll explain this about don't pull in beside

another vehicle don't turn in beside another vehicle turn into the spaces

between the vehicles that are turning right so that's what you want to do to

be safe again as I said Jamal your speed fifteen to thirty kilometers an hour or

12 to 20 25 miles an hour depending on how big the intersection is and get that

speed before you actually go into the corner the corner iso BLISK

doing a live feed talking to people about driving and talking about crashes

and those types of things okay so Corey there you go you the video for Katie on

speed limits that's really great thanks Wilson is here

drive right having contact me really wanted passed more testing or later I

have to wait at almost two weeks Wilson have you contacted them to see

what the delay is in terms of getting in and getting booked have they said

anything to you my pleasure Jamal I'm glad I could help

out Sam I have my road test of six days and I have about forty five hours of

driving time and I do in the next couple of days to fine-tune everything and ease

by anxiety Sam have you done any work with the fundamentals of driving so for

example going back and read revisiting the fundamentals and working with one of

those some of those thirty-six inch one meter tall pylons and the fundamentals

of driving excuse me because I find that sometimes after you've done a bit of

driving and gotten used to that sort of thing if you go back and work with some

of those pylons and you do some of the reverse backing up and backing or a

two-point reverse turn reviewing some of the parallel parking and doing the

forward and reverse figure eights sometimes that'll help with reducing

your beer and it'll help you to also better understand the spatial

relationship of the vehicle and space in place so sometimes that's what I do is

with students when I'm working with them and teaching them how to drive is after

they've had some experience in driving revisit the fundamentals and that will

help you out to just understand some of the stuff and to clarify some of the

stuff that may be the first time around you didn't get all the details and that

whatnot so yeah I might suggest you go and do that as well and then just you

know take a catalog or sit down on a piece of paper and find out think of the

weaknesses and those types of things and the last thing Sam I would ask you is

have you booked in for a mock road test yet just answer those questions and I'll

let you know Wilson

okay but Wilson you if they haven't contacted you yet in terms of booking

the road test then you need to contact them and say hey just sort of you know

what's going on so ok definitely be a sort of it yeah yeah you know because

you got it you got to get out there and and really sort of you know make sure

you sure make sure that you do what you need to do in order to get them but to

get you booked in okay Karen going for my CDL in a couple of weeks and I'm

working on my pre trip there are a lots of parts that I'm not familiar with I

can't remember everything any pointers okay Karen when you're doing your pre

trip inspection make sure you have a sequence and brake the vehicle up into

sections which one are you doing are you doing tractor-trailer are you and a

straight truck Karen because it doesn't really matter which one but you want to

you know break it up left side under the hood right side under the hood run to

the truck top to bottom so make sure that you move top to bottom left to

right and then you break the vehicle up into sections when you break it up into

sections that's going to help you to remember the information that you need

for the purposes of doing your pre-trip inspection as well the in-cab is

probably the hardest part so make sure you have a sequence as well come up for

your own sequence for that and that will help you to remember the information

that you need to do now are you having difficulty Karen with the pre trip

inspection for the air brakes is that one of the other things that you're

having difficulty with just leave a comment down there and I'll be sure to

answer that for you Sam you're most welcome andrew is going straight but

traffic is packed and you become stuck in the middle of the intersection at red

light is it wise to attempt to change lanes reverse or turn left to avoid

being stuck no Andrew if you're stuck in the intersection it's a red light know

that you own the intersection and now to look at the video that I put up today

about charging the yellow light there's a section in there on the vehicle the

pickup truck is going through the intersection making a left-hand turn the

tractor-trailer comes through the intersection and that pickup truck

actually turns on the red light so know that you own the intersection do not

back up don't attempt to change lanes because all of that's unpredictable

actions the other traffic knows that you're sitting in the intersection so

just relax take a breath I know it's I know it's daunting that

you're in the intersection the lights red and you're like oh my god oh my god

oh my god oh my god you're not gonna die okay the other vehicles at the

intersection can see you and they know that they're gonna wait for you okay so

just take a breath and go okay when the light when when the gap is clear go and

that's the most important thing because you are much safer sitting in the

intersection and other traffic going around you and weaving in those types of

things than it is for you to go in the gap isn't sufficient so know that

all right so carrying your driving tractor - yeah so break it up into

sections so the truck now I'm I can't get too technical because I know Karen

that other driving schools and driving instructors have kind of a different

sequence for for doing the truck and whatnot but break it up into sections

and make sure that you stick to top to bottom left to right because if you

stick the top to bottom left to right there's less chance that you're gonna

forget stuff okay and then after that it's just practice practice practice

keep doing it okay Jose and you are most welcome for the live programs I am

really glad that I can help people to do pass the road test and be successful in

getting your license and being better drivers and in crash free so that's

really my goal now ruto tips for not making white turns Naruto definitely

looked at the fundamentals of driving work with those 36-inch meter or three

sections tall one meter tall pylons in the parking lot doing the forward figure

eights the reverse figure eights because what you're having trouble with Naruto

is you're having trouble with space in place of the vehicle and you need to

sort of understand the the blind areas around the vehicle and you need to

understand steering and that will help you with that if you Bri visit that in

the parking lot the other thing is when you're making turns oftentimes you make

wide turns because your speed is too high so if you're making right-hand

turns you need to sort of be eight 10 to 15 kilometers an hour or sort of 8

to 12 miles an hour or on left turns you need to be 15 to 25 kilometers an hour

or you need to be sort of 12 to 20 miles an hour so know that you need to get

your speed down before you actually execute the turn so you're not as wide

there we go okay Corey thank you so much for that

Bernice highway driving is my greatest fear so I just drive this city to get to

anywhere all right Bernice one of the things that I might suggest for you to

sort of work on that anxiety and trepidation that you have with with

driving on highways is to try and drive on some of the highways that don't have

as much traffic on them so you know some of the back roads and highways and those

types of things and also the ones that don't have higher speed limits you know

it's not 100 or 120 kilometres an hour or 65 or 70 miles an hour just driving

the ones that have 80 kilometers an hour 50 miles an hour and it's a fairly

decent not too traveled Road and just get used to that and in that way you

won't you know it'll help to reduce some of your anxiety and fear about driving

on roadways and you know just the more exposure you get the better that's going

to be for you okay

okay thanks Cory for putting that video up on the fundamentals of driving so for

those of you I suggested that okay

all right so Wilson so your art yeah do try and contact them Wilson for sure and

they'll certainly you know once you talk to them and sort of remind them hey

because unfortunately you know we're all busy and we get busy doing other things

especially driving schools and those types of things so just definitely you

know tap on the door and say hey I'm still here I want to pass my road test

okay so Paul just pass my road test this

morning at the age of 57 and we're watching your videos I've been an

epileptic since 1975 thank you very much Paul you are most welcome and that is

just an awesome story that you passed your road test congratulations and I

certainly hope that you are having a great celebration because that is

well-deserved that is that is an inspiring story that you passed a road

test at 57 and you know and you've been an epithet that is really an inspiring

story that's a great story thanks so much for sharing that okay so we've got

kind of a pause here so what I'm going to do is I'm going to go over and do my

presentation on vulnerable your road users and talk to you a little bit about

that and then I'm going to come back and I'm just going to revisit the left-hand

turn thing because I thought I was going to do that so we'll just switch over to

the PowerPoint presentation here there we go

so most of you know who I am and I am Rick Auguste and I actually yes I do

have a PhD in legal history I call it traffic safety as well because I looked

at the history of road traffic in between sort of 1890 and 1930 as road

speeds increased 500% and essentially what happened Road speeds went from 6

miles an hour to 30 miles an hour which is sort of saying today that in another

40 years we'll all be driving around cities at 250 kilometers an hour that's

essentially what happened at the at the beginning of the 20th century with

motorized vehicles and I looked at that huge increase in Road speeds and its

impact on policing and law so that's what my PhD is in and one of the road

user groups that vies for Road space are vulnerable road users and I was once a

vulnerable road users well I still have a road user but let me repeat that I was

or let me rephrase that I was an arrogant vulnerable road user I used to

step out in front of traffic and say oh they'll stop they'll stop but then I

became a driving instructor and became somewhat more informed about road users

and traffic and how vulnerable the you are as a pedestrian on the roadways and

then I became a bit more cautious and certainly tried to teach my children to

be more cautious and speaking about my daughter my children my eight-year-old

daughter Scout that's her name

when we went out of the house the other morning to walk down to school and she

dislikes having her hair combed she Viet mentally dislikes having her

hair combed and we went out of the house and it was kind of a flash point and I

calmed her hair because she wasn't going to do it and she stormed off and she's

old enough to go across the road on her own and she stormed off and went across

the road well the traffic from the left did in fact stop but the traffic from

the right didn't and she stormed out and she was about halfway across the first

lane of traffic before I bellowed about her telling her to get back and she

nearly got clipped because the vehicle coming from the other side didn't stop

in fact even slowed down which kind of is a terrifying moment for most of us

who are parents as you may or may not know so that's what happened so who are

vulnerable road users vulnerable road users on our roadways are pedestrians

cyclists motorcyclists and people on scooters you can see in the picture

there the person on the scooter in traffic and this is becoming more and

more common the road users that are wiring for our road space are

pedestrians cyclists people on motorcycles like cars and trucks buses

trucks trolleys trams now the other road user group are these people on scooters

who have mobility challenges and they can be a bit intimidating because

they're small and they're actually out in the lane traffic so this is the new

road user group that you need to look for traffic statistics tell us that 25

percent of fatalities on our roadways due to traffic crashes are these

vulnerable road users or groups and you can see here in the image that most of

these pedestrians are crossing the roadway against the traffic light so you

need to know that vestri ins aren't always going to cross the roadway at a

crosswalk they're not always going to cross at an intersection oftentimes

you're going to cross outside of the crosswalk they're going to cross cross

lights and those types of things so these are one of the groups of road

users that you have to be looking out for when you're preparing for a road

test and you're driving generally to continue to be a a safe driver and one

of the reasons they call them vulnerable road users just because if they get in a

traffic rush they're most likely going to be killed or seriously seriously

injured so that's why they're called the

vulnerable road users and one of the things that you need to do as a

pedestrian is you need to develop a road sense that roads in fact are dangerous

cars are dangerous and that they don't always stop for you so one of the things

we do with children is we teach them a road sense we teach them of a very young

age that traffic is dangerous that they need to stop at intersections they need

to look both ways and one of the things that I'll add about teaching children a

road sense is that they have to look in both directions and they have to listen

as well and if you're crossing an intersection make sure you look back

behind you to the left in case there's a right turning vehicle as well so we

teach children a road sense and the other thing about children is children

have some limitations in terms of their biology in contrast to adults for

example children only have about 160 degrees of peripheral vision or 150

degrees rather whereas adults have 180 degrees of peripheral vision children in

motion tend to stay in motion they don't stop and they don't see cars as

dangerous and oftentimes if they see a car they think that the car is going to

stop because they can see it even though maybe the driver can't see them and then

yeah so those so children have some limitations in terms of their biology in

terms of being in traffic in those types of things so we teach them from a young

age of traffic sense and cars are dangerous and some of the other programs

in place in the 50s and 60s the interior safety league Odom Ontario developed

Elmer the elephant and Elmer the elephant was the safety elephant they

had little songs that taught children how to cross roads safely in those types

of things so those are some of the ways that we did that in terms of keeping

children safe history this is a this is an article that I wrote called spinning

our wheels in ability of traffic policy to change driver behavior and one of the

challenges for traffic experts and driving authorities to change driver

behavior is is that you're trying to change millions of people's behavior on

any given day in any given traffic situation in any given mood so it's a

very daunting task to try and get drivers to change their behavior and can

see that in terms of when the seatbelt seatbelt laws came in in the early 1970s

there was a huge enormous pushback in terms of not wearing seatbelts and it

wasn't until 20 years later that we started to see high rates of the

seatbelt use and that was because of a whole lot of different reasons one of

them was you know seatbelt lights in the car that are annoying and we need to put

our seat belt on the biggest one that I argue in this article is is that it's

the reverse impact or the reverse influence of children growing up wearing

seatbelts and then they once their parents and nagged their parents to wear

their seat belts and that's why we got a high use 20 years later pedestrians at

the beginning of the 20th century up until the 1950s after the Second World

War really the ones that were being

killed on a roadways because they needed to develop a traffic sense you had to

understand that it was the baby boomers in the 1960s and 50s and 60s

that were the first generation to grow up with the motorcar so people in the

beginning of the 20th century had to learn a traffic sense very much in the

way that we teach children a traffic sense in this day and age and then at

the last half of the 20th century motor cars started running into each other

single vehicle crashes due to drinking and driving drinking and driving was an

enormous problem at the end of the 1960s and early 1970s and this was one of the

reasons that we had seatbelt laws in combination with anti drink driving laws

and really an entire culture of drinking in North America and other countries and

changed because of the high fatalities so the other vulnerable road users are

on a roadways as motorcycles people who ride motorcycles are 35% more likely to

be killed in a car crash than people driving a car and many of the crashes

happen at intersections we know as traffic authorities that 40% of crashes

happen at intersections this is one of the reasons why left-hand turns which

I've been talking about this week and the videos are such a high risk maneuver

so left-hand turns the other thing that the reason that a

lot of motorcycles are killed or injured or fatally hurt on traffic crashes is

because of inexperience and youth motorcycles are very much associated

with masculine traits of aggressiveness and immortality that people you know

young men just are not thinking that they're going to be killed and insurance

statistics show all of this the other interesting thing in the last few years

women have become young women have been begun to come on board with high rates

of crashes and collisions well with men so it's not just males anymore that are

high risk of being involved in a traffic crash it's also women as well so where

to drivers look for vulnerable road users you need to observe especially at

night because a lot of pedestrians are wearing dark clothing they're not

crossing at crosswalks or intersections they're jaywalking in those types things

and when you're making left-hand turns and pedestrian

crossing the roadway please do not charge pedestrians I find that

incredibly irritating when I'm trying to cross a roadway people are making a

left-hand turn they drive right up to you just really is annoying and it's

dangerous and it really frightens pedestrians and it really upsets me when

people have done that and I have had it done to me several times so those are

some it's a bit of information about vulnerable road use the one other point

that I'll make about vulnerable road users for those of you are still feeling

a bit arrogant as a pedestrian and stepping out in front of traffic in

those types of things just before I say that I'll just say if you getting a road

test this week good luck on that and then I'll just switch this back here

there we go so and I'll just look at the comments here

all right so what I was gonna say about vulnerable road users and being a

pedestrian and stepping out into the roadway in front of traffic and those

types of things if you do get hit by a car and you're a pedestrian and most of

the time it's going to be a car it's not going to be a pickup truck in those

types of things what happens is the car the bumper the front bumper of the car

is usually high enough that it's going to hit you in the femur and it usually

shatters that bone it usually shatters the themer bone and unlike what's in the

movies where people get hit by cars and they just roll up over the hood they

don't it doesn't happen like that the bumper is at the femur and then

essentially what happens is it knocks the legs out from underneath you spins

you up in the air you do a couple of back flips and your head usually comes

down on the windshield so you not only sustained severe damage to your lower

extremities but usually what kills you is the impact of your head going through

the windshield of the vehicle so know that if you're involved in a crash with

a car and you're a pedestrian very unlikely that you're going to survive

and traffic statistics really pan that out because 25 percent almost a quarter

of Road traffic fatalities are because our vulnerable road users so pedestrians

cyclists motorcycles people on motorcycles and scooters so it is

dangerous all right so let's get to some of the comments here all right

thanks Paul okay Sunday's a good day to venture out on the highway rush hour to

work is the scariest yeah rush hour burners is a daunting time because

there's lots traffic for sure yes that great quote from Roosevelt there's

nothing to fear but fear itself indeed that is very true so and the more

exposure you get to it the easier it's going to go and the fear is going to

start to abate Anna yes you are very right Anna most drivers do not come to a

full stop when they turn right on a red light your and you'll probably notice

that at stop signs as well that most drivers do not come to a complete stop

at a stop sign

Michael no somebody wasn't running over my my girl she just sort of stomped out

in front of traffic the one lane of traffic did stop and I got to her and

yelled at her before she continued I would across the roadway so it was just

a near miss and one of those you know the heart skips kind of moments okay

yes as we get older and as our bodies mature we get a wider degree of

peripheral vision it actually goes out to about 180 degrees and children it's

only about 150 so it's actually a narrower field of peripheral vision and

that's the way our vision works is that we have a peripheral vision and it's

attracted to light and movement it's one of the things that keeps us safe and

that's why you only have to check 90 degrees because there's another 90

degrees in your peripheral vision and there's something there and what happens

is that your peripheral vision is attracted to that light movement and

then it draws in your central vision which is about a quarter it's about this

much at arm's length is your focus of your central vision so that's how that

works

cousin rota motorcycles one time cut off by a car turning right yes sometimes

yes there are resistant road users no doubt okay a little Montse what advice

do you have for someone that's going to the DMV to get their permit this week in

California now when you say your permit is that your learner's permit that

you're going in just to write the knowledge test is that what you're doing

this week

you

djenka you are most welcome Mikey hey man it's easy to pass a driving test the

very first time with no experience Mikey probably not for some people it's very

difficult and you have to know that passing a road test is very different

from driving because there are certain skills and abilities and techniques that

they expect you to have in place for the purpose of passing a road test I had a

comment from a smart driver this week failed to road test because they didn't

stop for emergency vehicle you don't stop for an emergency vehicle on a road

test you have to know that those types of things are automatic fails so you

need I would suggest that you do a bit of work before you go in don't just go

in without any experience is it's not likely you're going to be successful I'm

not saying that you won't be successful just saying that the possibility of you

actually passing the road test is not very high okay little Montse yes my

permit my knowledge test yes read the book study what I suggest you is to go

online here look for some practice driving test questions there are some

practice driving test questions over the smart drive test website do those

because those will identify the gaps in your knowledge don't try and read the

drivers manual from cover to cover because I'll tell you that just like

will cure insomnia so what you need to do is

do the practice driving test questions identify the gaps in your knowledge go

back to the driving manual read the driving manual and those specific parts

and then go back and do the test questions again and that will help you

do that and as well the tagline that I use at the end of my videos pick the

best answer not necessarily the right answer so you need to pick the best

answer so make sure that you read the question thoroughly pick out the key

words read all four choices on the test question and then pick the best one not

necessarily the right one because for example if you're going to if you're at

a four-way stop for example and they ask you the question who has the

right-of-way at the fort before we stop first vehicle to arrive the vehicle on

the right the vehicle in the intersection or the biggest vehicle

right so what is the best answer of that so there's two right answers because the

vehicle on the right and the first vehicle to arrive both have the

right-of-way that is a correct answer according to the the manual but the best

answer is the vehicle in the intersection because the vehicle in the

intersection has the right-of-way because as I say again and again about

right away right away is always given never taken and so know that for the

purposes of your theory test all right

michael is it possible to pull over to the right lane if it's the nares lane

yes you can Michael whichever lane or shoulder is the closest that you can

pull over to the purposes of an emergency vehicle you don't necessarily

have to pull over to the left lane or the right lane just get out of the way

of the emergency vehicle and if you're at an intersection an emergency vehicle

appears for the purposes of your road test you might have to drive through the

intersection or drive through the intersection or turn the intersection or

go through the roundabout or wherever you might be at to get out of the way

and clear a path for the emergency vehicle so know that as well andrew for

driving general on the highways their way around checking blind spots first

moving on ER it's scary to take your attention from the front to turn your

head yeah I know Andrew it is a bit scary because you're moving really

quickly and essentially what you need to do is you just need to turn your head

more quickly okay because you don't need to linger there when you're when you've

got your head ninety degrees it's just a quick snap of the head just quick head

check to the to the left or right whichever way you're going to be moving

the vehicle okay ah let's see

Express hello press solutions hi there how are you okay

and little Monte thank you so much for the subscription we really appreciate

that that's really awesome and I think I think I'm finally gonna have to do a

milestone video we're coming up on 30,000 and I really appreciate that to

all the people who have subscribed and have continued to be smart drivers and

educate themselves a little being better drivers and staying out of trouble way

we my route test is coming up in a few days sadly it would be my third time

completing it the only different about this road test is that there's snow I'm

currently having problems with snow yes I have a look at the video there's

passion road tests first time in the winter time have a look at that that

will help you out with driving in the snow and passing your road test and I

have little doubt that you're going to be successful on my channel that's what

we do here is we help you to pass a road test okay and be successful busy be obey

speed limits but drivers always pass me or give me dirty looks I asked my

driving instructor he says sometimes people break the law and speed what do

you think about that yes I totally agree with what your driving instructor said

very few people drive the speed limit they're always going to drive above the

speed limit because tolerance for speed limits so people are going to do that so

you just need to know that alright people rarely stop at stop signs

complete stops and those types of things there is a driving culture that we have

here in North America they have a driving culture and straw any country in

the world has a driving culture and those driving cultures are going to

allow certain laws to be broken not stopping a stop sign speeding and those

types of things so know that that you're just gonna have to get comfortable with

that driving culture and know that after you for the purpose of getting your

license it's a different set of requirements than for driving okay so

after you get your license have a look at top 10 tips for post licensed driving

to stay safe and that'll help you out a little bit okay

Rayna hi there how are you love the smiley faces what's the great okay and

Corey's got the video up there for those of you taking a road test in the winter

time how to pass driver's license road test first time and as well I noticed

today that I was looking at that video because somebody was commenting I was

doing 40 in a school zone and actually I remember

scoot excuse me I did that video for Kyle crass know who was doing his road

test last almost a year ago now in Toronto at that time in the winter time

in yet he requested that I do that video so I did that video and it was

interesting because I went past a school sign and I was doing the post-production

on the video and I saw that because there's a speedometer I have the

speedometer up in a camera on that video and I was doing 40 kilometers aren't

like oh great now I got it was Sri shoot the video and after doing some research

and looking at Google Maps which I just love Google Maps Street View I noticed

that it wasn't a school zone sign but in fact it was a school in the area sign so

I don't have to slow to 30 kilometers an hour if it's just a school in the area

so check out the school zone signs our school signs have a video on that as

well and explains because there are about five different school signs that

indicate those goofy school signs and some of them are school zone signs do 30

kilometers enter when children are present on the highway and there's a

school in the area so just take note of those signs and whatnot okay so there

you go Corey's got that up really great

awesome alright so yeah and I think we got all this we'll see who else is here

I did it

name

you

Michael you saw animals on the roadway if it's a smaller animal I generally

recommend that you do not try to avoid smaller animals if it's a bigger animal

then you're gonna have to try and brake as hard as possible and reduce the

impact by as much as possible by getting the vehicle off on an angle you try it

don't want to try and hit the animal straight on like if it's a cow or a

moose or a deer or something like that because oftentimes what happens is

you'll sweep the legs out from youth have been the torso of the animal will

come up and come through the windshield so if it's a bigger animal you want to

try and get off line a little bit that will help you out somewhat in terms of

reducing the severity of the impact okay but if it's a smaller animal like a

squirrel or a badger or something else then you want to try to you just want to

run over it don't don't do any defensive moves evasive action and those tips

things all right Ricardo

instructors are now saying at a stoplight

make a left turn you have to stay at the line and not go up in the box when the

light is on Green is that now a general rule

Ricardo that's probably somebody's opinion it's somebody's professional

opinion I don't say to get into the intersection when I say well you're

waiting for a left-hand turn I tell you to just put the front steer tires on the

front crosswalk line and as I've said that you're committed to the

intersection but you're not in the intersection if something happens so

that's what I recommend for drivers now that might be something else specific to

the licensing center where you're taking your license test but it tends to be

fairly Universal that where you wait is up to different places and discretion of

them and whatnot

Danyelle how can you get over the fear of failing the permit test do practice

tests lots of practice tests on the internet fine practice driving test

questions on the internet there's some over at the smart drive test website go

over there and do those and those will help you to alleviate your anxiety and

tension and as well don't try and read the manual cover to cover because man

that thing will cure and just care insomnia there are terrible things to

try and read so just do the practice driving test questions identify the gaps

in your knowledge and then

go back to the manuals find the specific information that you need to answer

those questions and then go in and take your test and just breathe and remember

pick the best answer not necessarily the right answer for the purposes of a

theory test okay and then you just unfortunately got to do it I mean if and

you know one of the things that I used to do when I went to university in

school and did tests and those types of things is you need to sort of play the

game what's the worst thing that's gonna happen if you're unsuccessful if you're

unsuccessful then you just go and do it again it's it's not gonna be you know

it's not a blight on your reputation you're gonna be okay

so know that that you're gonna be okay all right and that you can do it you're

just gonna go and write the test until you're successful and do it

rhoann thank you so much passed my g2 yesterday because of you you are most

welcome and thank you for letting us know that's really great I'm glad that

helped out

thank you so much that's just a really awesome compliment thank you so much

that really is appreciated so again if you like what you're seeing

here and you like the videos on the channel be sure to subscribe hit that

like button thumbs up button there and all of that and leave a comment

by all means and I'll answer your questions and whatnot all that helps out

and you know if you can share the channel around with your friends and

other people that might be getting a road test one of the things with social

media is is that we're in the six degrees of separation actually I think

they're getting down to five maybe even four degrees of separation now that

you're always going to know somebody that's going to need some help and you

know really that's what we're trying to do here is help people be successful

passing a road test and be successful at being crash free and being good safe

defensive drivers so that they stay out of trouble because there's nothing more

of a shock to the system than being involved in a traffic crash and if you

can help you to do that to stay in trouble especially with the new crash

analysis playlists and videos that I'm creating and putting up we can learn

from other people's mistakes and we can put in place strategies and techniques

that are going to keep us safe and keep us out of trouble and that way you know

and you can learn from other people instead of making the mistakes yourself

because we'd you know it says Newton said I know what I know because they

stood on the shoulders of giants writings and sometimes it's not just

shoulders of giants but it's also you know we learn from other people's

mistakes instead of making mistakes ourselves we learn from other peoples

and say hey I know how to fix that or how to change that make different

alright okay so yeah Corey showed me a video tonight that I'm gonna do a video

on I'm gonna do it for the crash analysis I'm not gonna do it right away

because this claim are on the crash analysis video is that people do die in

traffic crashes and what I'm going to say about traffic crashes

one of the things that academics have said about traffic crashes if you took

all of the traffic crashes that occurred in your country you put them in one

place at one time it would be deemed a national emergency because so many

people are killed in traffic crashes that it's it's mind-boggling to people

who are you know who study this I mean in the United States of America every

six weeks six to eight weeks more people are killed in traffic crashes every six

to eight weeks than all the people that all the soldiers that were killed in the

Vietnam War well it just gives you some idea of how

dangerous traffic crashes are so one of the one of the disclaimers are going to

put in the crash analysis is that people do die in these traffic crashes I mean

some of them you can't see it some of them you can so the video that Corey's

talking about about the Flying Brick incident is that some of the cargo fell

off the back of a truck and flew up into a car and the woman was killed and I'm

gonna do a video about it and talk about load security and those types things and

how important it is to make sure that you do a pre-trip inspection if you're

hauling a trailer or you have a truck and you have Freight or cargo on it you

make sure that it's secure that you didn't leave any tools or anything else

on the deck or those types of things that can fly out because it's gonna

cause damage and maybe even fatalities and injuries to other people on the

roadway so you need to do that all right so the disclaimer about some of these

videos that I'm going to be showing in the crash analysis videos is that

they're going to be fairly graphic and you know as I said people are gonna die

and people are going be injured maimed and what so know that about traffic

crashes and as well know how dangerous traffic crashes are I mean most of us

drive around every you know we know that the average person on average has has a

traffic crash every fourteen years so most of us we have an optimism bias and

we know that we're not going to be involved in a crash but every once in a

while that happens and it happens quite a bit and because of the short duration

of traffic crashes they're cleaned up so quickly

oftentimes we don't see them okay so know a lot about traffic crashes

all right busy bee

for that two weeks good luck on your road test

busy bee you're gonna do fine yes mirror signal shoulder check so make

sure you check that Center mirror first and make sure that before you start

slowing down and whatnot the traffic behind you is actually coming to a stop

and then shoulder check to check your wing mirror and do that twice before you

start moving the vehicle laterally and make sure that you do that for every

lateral move or you do that anytime you're going to turn the vehicle just

any time you're going to move the vehicle sideways that your shoulder

checking and having a look there all right djenka have you need to beat high

speeds okay yes Janka moderate exposures so sort of move yourself up as you you

know drive in the city it up to 50 kilometers an hour and then move into

multi-lane roads where there's more traffic in those types of things so just

you know ease yourself into this as you move up and up and when you actually get

up on roads that have you know 80 kilometers an hour 50 miles an hour go

onto a low density road where you can do that and you can practice and that will

help with tension and anxiety and just help to reduce it is just you know give

yourself exposure a bit and bit in those types of things as well check and make

sure that you give yourself credit for what you've done you know celebrate your

little successes because it is a big deal if you've got fear and anxiety

around that when you're able to do that and your drive on a 70 kilometer an hour

road or a 40 mile an hour road and you're able to do that for five to ten

minutes that's a big success so make sure that you you know congratulate

yourself and you know maybe take yourself out for some ice cream or

something like that and say yeah you know I can do this and just keep that in

your head as well the most foremost powerful words in the language I and do

this right so when things get tough for your feelings scared or upset just

repeat that to yourself so that's how you do that

Asha Merve why do driver x' cut people off I don't think I can answer that

question you definitively with any answer but unfortunately one of the

things you need to know about driving is is that it's not a matter if people are

gonna cut you off it's a matter when people are going to cut you off know

that it's going to happen and just I know it's frustrating I know what's

upsetting but just take a breath and say to yourself have a nice day go and have

your crash somewhere else okay just try not to get upset by it and know

that it's gonna happen if you know that it's gonna happen then when it does

happen probably not going to be so amazed or upset about it alright

okay Michael another car run a red light on the way to an appointment yeah

unfortunately you're gonna see that a lot okay so yep all right

yes Michael do multi car collisions on freeways because on you know those are

quite deadly and unfortunately it's very daunting especially when you see them on

video and the cars are just coming in really high speeds and not slowing down

some

yeah there's definitely Michael there's no shortage of traffic crashes that's

for sure all right we're getting up to the

okay Anna

all right I think we're gonna wrap it up there okay

lots of questions lots of great information and feedback and those types

of things so if you have any further comments or further questions I'll

definitely catch up to you in the comments as well you can leave me an

email at Rick at smart drive test comm I'll be more than happy to get back to

you and talk to you about anything to do with driving passing road tests

defensive driving and those types of things so know all of that

okay and be more than happy to help you out to pass a road test and be

successful doing that so I want to thank Cory for getting up the videos bricks

for wheels for the other people that I mentioned in terms of those people

asking questions and the videos that are there and provide information for you to

be successful on your road test thank you for showing up I appreciate all your

questions and answers and provide really appreciate your feedback and for those

people telling me that they passed a road test in the last couple of weeks

thank you so much for that it was really great and I appreciate your time and

remember good luck and if you're taking a road test this week good luck on your

road test and remember pick the best answer not necessarily the right answer

have a great day I know

WHY I DON'T LIVE WITH MY PARENTS or rent an apartment: Living in a car Q&A | Hobo Ahle - Duration: 8:35.

When I originally moved into my car, like I didn't do it to like travel, or to

embrace minimalism, or to live small or like- no, none of that. That all was like a

successful by-product and I'm very happy with how things turned out, but the

decision to actually switch from traditional style living into some sort

of vehicle was purely based on this idea of saving money and saving a lot of it

and saving it quickly. And it was also supposed to be a temporary solution, like

at- when I decided to do it, and even into the first like six months of me doing it,

was never supposed to be a long-term thing. And so usually that's the point at

like when I share that information where people are like well "why didn't you just

get a cheaper apartment you know lower your rent?" or "why didn't you move in with

your parents?" and yeah, I get those questions a lot.

"Why I don't rent an apartment?" so I definitely feel like I have to preface this saying like I

don't think there's anything wrong with renting an apartment, I don't judge

anyone who rents an apartment, I think that if you rent an apartment and you

like it- it suits your lifestyle and you're happy then I'm happy for you like

literally I do not care if other people rent apartments. The way I see it, in order

to make money you have to work right? So in order to work what you're doing is

essentially your trading minutes, days, years of your life to work to get money

and then when you get this money what are you doing with it?

You're, it's what it feels like to me, is it feels like I'm just giving it away

because I'm not investing in anything. Then it's like a catch-22 because of the

fact that I'm working so much to pay for this place then I'm never even at this

place because I'm always at work working to pay for it... But anyways the simplest

answer is like just me personally, like I can't. I just don't believe in that. And

that's like a I mean you typically you hear like "oh, Santa Claus... I don't believe

in that." or you know something like that, but like "paying rent, I don't believe in

that." it's a little bit different, but that's just how I feel and it really is

just like one of those things I feel it like with such conviction

that I feel like it's- like it's almost wrong. Like it's- it's not fair and it

makes me so angry when when I had to do it because I did do it. I did, I rented a

room in a house, I rented a room in an apartment, like you know, I've done my

fair share of paying rent. And it was- it was never the price that was the problem

because I had more expensive rent, I had cheaper rent, it was always just like in

my head what it was is like based on principle. I just felt like it was- I just

didn't like it. It was not fair I don't know how else to say it and I know that sounds

maybe a bit entitled or privileged because of the fact that like I could

afford to pay rent for a room or whatever, but at the same time it's like

all problems are relative and it wasn't like I was flourishing in that type of

environment you know what I'm saying like I was definitely more on the end of

living paycheck to paycheck and really struggling. And I think, you know, if

that hadn't been the case ... like if I had just been so rich that money was not a

thing to me then maybe I wouldn't feel that way because I wouldn't value a

dollar to the same degree that I do now you know, it's like there's all this like

speculation like "what if this? what if that?" like my views might be different

but the point is like these are my views now and this is what they've

developed into. So again, like I don't mean to offend anyone or talk bad about

anyone who thinks that renting, whether it be a house or a room or an apartment,

whatever- like as long as it works for you and you're satisfied with it like

more power to you you know that's why I feel pretty much about everything but

it's just like the reason that I don't do it is because I feel so strongly

against it that like it literally like if I'm- while I'm doing it it feels like

it is eating away at my soul like it makes me miserable and I feel like that

sounds so dramatic and and maybe it is, but it's how I feel. It was to the point

where I was like "I refuse to do this anymore or ever again" like I

I can't. I will go insane if this continues to happen like it just can't.

there is no "if" because it can't because I cannot live like this. It was just it-

like that's what I mean when I say it ate away my soul like I am not joking it

made me a crazy person and so then the alternative to move into a car didn't

seem so crazy because I was already friggin crazy by paying rent and about

how strongly I felt about like not doing it. And here's the thing, like on top of

that, it's not just like- I never want to be the type of person that's like "oh I

don't like that..." dot dot dot. You know what I'm saying? It's like no, "I don't like that so...

how can I work my way around it? or how can I fix it? or how can I change it? how

can I just like-" I know what I want or what I don't want for that matter and

there's got to be a way to compromise there's got to be a way to work

something out because you have to be happy I mean that's that's life you know

you're gonna have a really bad time if you're never happy and there's certain

things that have paved my path simply because of the fact like I feel so

strongly about something, whether I like it or dislike it, that I have like

altered my life actually or made decisions based on that to get me to

where I am. And like I said, I know that "oh I don't believe in paying rent" it's

kind of- I mean it's- and it's not like I just don't believe in society and I'm some

hooligan you know, nah nah like you know I believe in paying taxes I believe in

being part of a community- I'm just going off on a tangent so I guess let me just

answer what is the other one? what did I say I was gonna talked about? uhhhh...

ok, I remember: "why I don't live with my parents". There- there are definitely some

people where... okay you go to high school, you're living with your parents, you

graduate, you decide you're gonna go to college maybe move away from home so you

move away from home. What happens to your old room? Maybe your parents leave it

the same, maybe they just put like office stuff or storage stuff in there, but you

still have a room. You know, they still got their house, still got a room, you're

off at college if you ever decide you want to come back or you need to I don't

know... get your life together and you just need somewhere to like not pay rent for

a while and just regroup like you can go back home and even though there's a

bunch of stuff in your room now and it might be really annoying like you still have

that. And you know there's a good portion of people where that is their reality

and that is the reality of all of their friends and everyone that they grew up

with. However there is another reality where you know

not everyone has that luxury. And I love my family so much and we have a great

relationship, but in my case like I don't want to go into like super you know

details because that's like my parents business my family's business you feel?

but I just think- it- again as much as I think the "why don't you rent an

apartment?" or whatever is a fair question I almost think like "why don't you live

with your parents?" is kind of an unfair question because it's like well... I

honestly think that back in the end of 2013 beginning of 2014 when I decided to

first move into a car, I think that had I had the option to just go back home to

my old room and take a break and relax and regroup whatever, that's probably

what I would have done. Like honestly you know, but that that just didn't exist for

me. And I'm not mad about it I'm not bitter about it it was just the reality

of the situation and like that's cool so that's not gonna be the solution to my

problem find another solution and my solution was to move into a car.

ok there's a lot of people at the park now so I'm gonna go byeeeeee

Corncob is for corn brains, no thank you.

Jesus, shit.

Get out of my ass, I'm at the Children's Museum.

Take a look at all these nerds.

Nice hat.

Metal mouth freak.

Cool turtleneck.

Where's your tooth?

Holy snopes, holy snopes, holy snopes,

Goodwill Huntsville!

So I love stop signs, tell it to the judge.

Hi honeys.

Holy snopes, they got a White House.

If Dan Trump is in there, then EW is right.

Are you joking my ass?

I'm at the US Spruce and Racket Center.

Come come, chep chep.

(upbeat music)

Get inside my ass and enjoy the free wifi,

look at the size of that racketship.

They say it's 100 feet big, and it could go to the moon,

if the moon wasn't a lie perpetrated by the Chinese.

Don't understand the reasoning,

don't understand the reasoning,

space danosaur!

Piss on my clean laundry,

what a day I've had here in Huckstable.

I saw some pretty cool racketships,

and I daminated at corncob.

It even was the best day of my whole life.

(upbeat music)

Yep, pretty much dead...or..? - Duration: 1:47.

No elevator, almost no chance of making it back to base.

Only the lift of the wings keep me up, so I have to use the throttle and flaps.

Oh...It doesn't look good...

Not a soft landing but managed to repair and get back into battle :)

Youth Allowance: dependent or independent? - Duration: 1:05.

If you're applying for Youth Allowance we'll assess you as either dependent or

independent. If you're dependent we use your parents income to work out if you

can get Youth Allowance and how much. You may consider yourself independent you

cook your own meals and wash your own clothes but for Youth Allowance we

assess independence a little differently. You're automatically independent once

you turn 22. If you're under 22 you're generally dependent. There are some

situations where you're considered independent if you're under 22, such as

if you've supported yourself through work, this includes working an average of

30 hours per week for at least 18 months during any two-year period. If you live

in a regional or remote area you might get the higher rate under different

rules. You can find out more about independence on our website

Humanservices.gov.au/youthallowance or ask your questions on social media

follow student update on Facebook or tweet at studentupdateAU

Please Don't Feel Bad Or Message Me With Any Worries- Banky W

'Scars. A sign that you had been hurt.

A sign that you had been healed." Scroll through the pictures to see mine.

I'm sharing these because they're proof of what God has brought me through.

And because somewhere out there, I know there's someone who needs to hear this.

For those who've been wondering why I've been away so long; I had my third surgery on a rare strain of skin cancer tumours in my shoulder last month.

The first two times were over ten years ago, then it recently resurfaced.

But this isn't a sad story as much as it is a reminder and a testimony.A reminder that you should never take life for granted.

You only get one shot.

Some people went to sleep and never woke up.

Many others have lost the battle to cancer and other illnesses.

Many are still fighting.

You never know when your time will up so don't waste another minute.

It's also a testimony about the goodness of God.

I think I had to go through this again to remember how merciful God is to me; Lord knows I don't deserve it but He saves me time and again anyway.

I keep saying I need to write a book.

I really, really do.

The past few weeks of recovery have been tough, but beautiful.

I'm finally back on my feet, feeling stronger and ready to get back to life.

I'm especially thankful to my Nurse Susu for loving me and being by my side every step of the way – I don't deserve U.
