Youtube daily will Nov 11 2017

In April 2016, the billionaire Yuri Milner and Stephen Hawking announced an initiative

to send nanocrafts to the Alpha Centaury system and, specifically, to Proxima b, which is

the potentially habitable exoplanet closest to earth located 4.2 light years away.

The nanocrafts, which are miniature space probes attached to lightsails, would be sent

the next decade, in 2036, and arrive to Proxima b in 2056, with another 4 years needed to

receive the data.

The link the project, called Breakthrough Starshot, is in the description of this video.

If you want to contribute to the project, in their website they explain the different

challenges they are facing and they have a comments section through which you can send

them your ideas to solve those problems.

Around 1,000 nanocrafts called Starchips will be launched to a high-altitude orbit, they

will deploy, and eventually a ground-based laser array will accelerate them one by one

up to 20% the speed of light The objetive is to aim them within 1 astronomical

unit or 150 million kilometers from the target.

This would allow to potentially capture images of enough resolution to identify the surface

features of Proxima b.

Each probe will consist of centimeter-scale digital cameras, processors, photon thrusters,

a battery, a protective coating and a meter-scale lightsail

But, what are the main challenges of this project?

Firstly, the starships must have a protective coating to withstand extreme conditions and

avoid damage when they collide with particles of dust and gas.

Secondly, all the components of the starships must be miniaturized to fit within a mass

limit.

Thirdly, a set of lasers able to produce 100 GW of power will have to be built.

And finally, the lasers will have to be pointed exactly into the solar sail of the starships.

So again if you want to contribute to the project, the link is in the description.

Alright and that's all for today.

Thank you very much for watching.

Feel free to leave any comment, suggestion or question below.

Bye bye.

North Korea warned! Donald Trump 'WILL NOT PUT UP WITH' rogue state's World War 3 threat - Duration: 2:54.

North Korea warned! Donald Trump 'WILL NOT PUT UP WITH' rogue state's World War 3 threat

is on a trip to Asia in an effort to create a united front against.

Former US Army Special Forces Officer Jim Hanson insisted Mr Trump is reasserting his power so that the world will know "America is back".  President Trump gave a speech in which he insisted the United States will not be taken advantage of anymore.

He said: "I am always going to put America first, the same way I expect all of you in this room to put your countries first.  .

has upped its hostile approach against the US and its Asian allies, sparking fears World War 3 could happen at any moment.

But Mr Hanson said that Mr Trump's speech enforced his power against North Korea and China and insisted America has "changed the game".

Appearing on , Mr Hanson lashed former US President Barack Obama and said: "I think after eight years of Obama's cringing capitulation all around the world, it was a pleasure to watch President Trump proclaim that we will put America first, and to point out to the world that he's not going to put up with the bad actions that we had in the past.

"He said that we're going to go ahead and assert our power as the world's sole superpower and make sure that people like China who have been, both on the economic stage and also in their support for North Korea, have been causing problems for the rest of us.

"So I think he's really changed the game and put the world on notice that America is back."  During the speech, the US President attacked the regime of North Korean leader and called on "all responsible nations" to come together to stop the nuclear threat from the rogue nation.

He said: The world cannot tolerate the menace of a rogue regime that threatens it with nuclear devastation.  "All responsible nations must join forces to isolate the brutal regime of North Korea-to deny it any form of support.".

It's an adolescent thunderdrum no wonder he's stuck around. It's not allowed you get the Thunder drunk

I'll handle the death song and I've got just the place

Okay, mr. Dad son welcome to your new home

No one's gonna hear his song in there

If I were you too might maybe find another Island

I just wanted to say I'm sorry for getting you all into this if you want to turn back

Are you kidding? No way, this is the most fun. We've had in years. There is one party girl

It have to be said all right. It's not allowed. You're the man of the hour for bringing the monstrous nightmare gel you choose

Explained: Will A Christian Turned Atheist Go To Hell Explainer - Duration: 9:33.

Hello, I'm Lucas Kitchen and I want to talk to you about our latest video release, will

a Christian turned atheist go to hell.

If you haven't seen that video yet you can find it at questions from atheist.com.

Let me set up this discussion with a hypothetical scenario.

Have you ever heard a preachers say, "If a person doesn't obey the Bible, they may

not be saved, even if they claim to have faith."

But then at a funeral the same preacher may say, "The deceased person was saved because

they claimed to have faith, even though they didn't obey the Bible."

I noticed this inconsistency when I was in high school, when one of my close friends

passed away.

So which is it?

Do we have to obey the Bible until we die to be saved, or is it enough to have faith?

Well I'm confident that the Bible teaches that once someone is made alive in Christ,

born again, and becomes a believer they have eternal life that can never be lost or returned.

That means a Christian who becomes an atheist will still have eternal life.

They are still saved even if they fall into unbelief and disobedience.

Now, I know fom many of you that might be a new idea.

However it's not an idea I invented, but instead a concept that the Bible teaches quite

consistently.

So I thought I would take a minute to answer a few obvious questions that the video raises.

Some opponents of this idea will say that a "true" believer will never stop believing.

But the Bible doesn't distinguish between "true" belief and belief.

Secondly, the Bible speaks of saved people who stopped believing for a time.

John the Baptist, who was already eternally saved, questioned whether Jesus was the one

in the last moments of his life.

Even some of the apostles, who were already saved, stopped believing for a time.

A great example is Thomas.

If you want to learn more about that I have a book that I've just recently finished

on Thomas it's available on Amazon.com.

It's called Thomas hero of the faith.

If the apostles and John the Baptist could stop believing then it can happen to modern

believers.

Beyond this, the writer of Hebrews tells us in chapter 3 that a believer can come to the

point where they stops believing and even abandon God.

When you read Hebrews chapter 3, and I hope you will, you will see that he clarifies a

number of times that he is talking to born again, saved, eternal life wielding, Christians.

In verse one he says "therefor holy brethren partakers of the heavenly calling... that's

who he is talking to.

Then in verse 12 he reveals that these brethren, Christians, are able to become unbelievers.

He says "beware bretheren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in

departing from the living God but exhort one another daily while it is called today lest

any of you be hardened through the deceptiveness of sin.

" He tell us that the reason why some Christians stop believing is because of a hardening caused

by sin.

Christians who choose to live in sin become subject to deception.

That reeks havoc on their ability to believe.

Doesn't that fit with what you've seen Happen to some of your fellow Christians?

I know I've seen it.

Despite all this, never in Hebrews or the rest of the Bible does it say that a person

who has received eternal life can ever lose it.

In fact second Timothy two tells us that even if our faith fails Jesus remains faithful.

Others will say if you don't obey Christ you didn't really believe.

But that doesn't fit with what Jesus said.

If belief means obedience then eternal life could only be given after a person lived an

obedient life.

Instead, he said that eternal life is given immediately when someone believes in Jesus,

not after they have obeyed.

We can see this in versus like John 3:36 6:47 and 5:24.

In each of these the Bible tells us that eternal life is the present possession of the one

who has believed.

That means that the person who becomes a born-again Christian has eternal life now, currently,

in their present state.

So the person who believes in Jesus will live forever.

It's very simple statement it's exactly what Jesus is saying.

If you Believe in Jesus you will live forever no matter what, even if you stop believing

at some point.

If eternal life is given when one first believes, then obedience is not required for salvation.

If receiving eternal life required a life of obedience then Jesus could only give eternal

life at the end of someone's life when they proved that they could be obedient.

But that's not what the Bible tells us.

Some will say that obedience to Christ is the proof that someone believes (or has faith).

it sounds good on the surface, but there are a few of problems with this claim.

It is true that Someone's belief in Christ can blossom into good works.

In fact that's what we hope happens with all Christians.

We hope that they add good works to their faith.

We hope that they not only believe but obey Christ.

So if someone is doing good works in obeying Christ it's likely they are doing that because

they have believed in him.

we have to be careful here though, we can't use good works as proof that someone has believed

since it's possible for a believer to disobey Christ.

We find that in second Timothy two, first Corinthian's three, and a number of other

places.

You can't prove that someone never believed in the past by how they act in the present.

There was a time that I️ believed it was ok to drink only cola cola all the time.

I acted on that belief while I️ still believed it.

However, I️ no longer drink coke all the time.

Can you infer from my current actions what I️ used to believe?

Obviously not.

The only thing that you might be able to make a guess on is what I currently believe, that

I shouldn't drink Coca-Cola.

Even then, I could be acting against what I believe.

The point is, trying to use obedience to Christ as proof of faith is a flawed method.

Eternal life is not given after a life of belief, but at the first moment one believes.

Therefore, present disobedience cannot demonstrate a lack of belief in the past.

Some will say, that the person who doesn't obey until the end of their life proves they

were never really saved.

That's not what the Bible says.

The Bible character, Lot's last mention in the Bible is one in which he's living

in debauchery.

Yet the Bible indicates he was saved.

(2 Peter 2:7-9) By the end of his life King Saul was disobedient to God and committed

suicide.

Yet he was saved (1 Sam 28:19) Solomon, who wrote a lot of the Bible, finished his life

unrepentant and disobedience to God.

Yet the Bible indicates he was saved.

(1 Chron 28:6) There are lots of crystal clear verses from the Bible that tell us we must

have faith in Christ alone to be saved, and once we are saved, we can never become unsaved

again.

There are a handful of verses that get used to confuse believers into thinking they can

lose their salvation if they don't behave.

Here's what I'm proposing you do, look first at the verses that are very clear.

There are scads of them.

A Great place to start is the Gospel of John.

In fact it's my opinion that you should stop reading any other book of the Bible until

you are extremely familiar with the Gospel of John.

John is the only book in the Bible written to unbelievers to show them what they have

to believe in order to have eternal life.

The bottom line is, if you believe in Jesus for eternal life you have it.

No matter what happens after that point you still have it.

An atheists current unbelief doesn't negate salvation received earlier in life.

A believer's future unbelief or misbehavior can't dissolve, destroy, or derail their

deliverance from Hell. even if the Christian strays that can't

sabotage, subdue, or stop salvation.

Will U.S. stay committed to toxic Agent Orange cleanup in Vietnam? - Duration: 4:51.

JUDY WOODRUFF: As we reported earlier, the president was at a summit in Vietnam today

in the city of Da Nang.

That was the site of a huge American air base during the Vietnam War, from which flights

carrying Agent Orange flew.

Cleaning up the toxic legacy that was left behind there, and at other sites by the U.S.,

is an ongoing process and a moral reckoning.

Special correspondent Mike Cerre reports.

MIKE CERRE: The new arrivals area at the Da Nang International Airport sits on what was,

less than a year ago, one of the most toxic Agent Orange sites in the world.

The controversial Agent Orange herbicide was extensively used as a defoliant during the

Vietnam War.

It was stored here at Da Nang and two other former American bases.

According to Defense Department records, it contaminated the surrounding wetlands with

dioxin, a dangerous chemical believed to cause abnormally high incidents of birth defects

in Vietnam.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius:

TED OSIUS, Former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam: If you're honest about the past, you can have

a very different kind of future than if you try to whitewash the past.

And we have had some real success in Da Nang in cleaning up the dioxin that was left, especially

near the Da Nang Airport.

MIKE CERRE: In advance of President Trump's arrival in Da Nang for the APEC summit this

week, the U.S. marked the completion stage of the first and only American reclamation

of a major dioxin-contaminated site in Vietnam, at Da Nang International Airport.

It's taken nearly three years and almost nearly $110 million.

It included building this football field-size oven that baked about 160,000 tons of contaminated

dirt at more than 600 degrees for three weeks at a time to remove one of the most dangerous

toxins ever created by humans.

CHARLES BAILEY, Author, "From Enemies to Partners": Da Nang was very toxic.

It was 300 times the maximum permitted level for dioxin in the environment.

MIKE CERRE: Charles Bailey has been researching and raising funds for Agent Orange problems

in Vietnam since the 1990s.

His new book chronicles the Agent Orange legacy and the long path to the U.S. cleanup efforts,

starting with President George W. Bush's first official acknowledgement of the problem in

2006 at a previous APEC summit.

During last year's state visit to Vietnam, President Obama pledged continued American

support.

CHARLES BAILEY: I would say it was almost a textbook example of nonpartisan or bipartisan

cooperation.

This appropriation has been approved overwhelmingly by both Republicans and Democrats in the Senate

and in the House.

MIKE CERRE: Now the Vietnamese government wants the United States to clean up another

base near Saigon, Bien Hoa, which is five times as large and could cost close to a half-a-billion

dollars to clean up.

CHARLES BAILEY: It's going to be a lot more difficult to clean up Bien Hoa because the

dioxin is dispersed over larger areas.

The loading and storage areas were changed over the course of a decade to different parts

of the air base.

Also, the air base is on higher ground, so, whenever it rains, dioxin-tainted soil runs

off into the surrounding city.

MIKE CERRE: The former base has severely contaminated nearby lakes, which the locals depend on for

their fish.

Despite public education programs, the contaminated fish are still a staple of the local diet

and new generations are suffering from debilitating muscular and neurological problems believed

to be caused by Agent Orange dioxin.

CHARLES BAILEY: The U.S. doesn't have any strictly legal responsibility to clean up

the dioxin in Vietnam, but many people feel that we have a moral responsibility.

MIKE CERRE: Senator Patrick Leahy and the Senate's Appropriations Committee have maintained

annual funding for Agent Orange cleanup and victims assistance programs since 2007, but

they will need additional funding from the Pentagon and the White House to take on the

Bien Hoa project.

The Vietnamese hosts of this year's APEC summit will be listening and watching President Trump

closely for clear signs of a continuing U.S. commitment to clean up the toxic mess left

behind from what the Vietnamese call the American war.

For the "PBS NewsHour," I'm Mike Cerre, Da Nang, Vietnam.

St. Porphyrios: God will say to me, "What are you doing here?" - Duration: 1:36.

My thought was telling me that if I were to go up there in Heaven

and God will say to me, "What are you doing here?"

I thought I would say to Him: "Lord, whatever Your love dictates!

Send me wherever Your love wishes! I give myself over entirely to Your love!"

I would also say to Him: "I know, O Saviour, that none other hath sinned against Thee as have I,

nor hath wrought the deeds that I have done.

But this again I know, that neither the magnitude of mine offences nor the multitude of my sins

surpasseth the abundant long-suffering of my God

and His exceeding love for mankind." [Communion Prayer of Symeon the New Theologian]

When I felt that death was approaching, when I felt on the point of leaving this life,

I was saying and repeating these words, even though I was weak.

I was saying these unceasingly with a desire... to leave this life with these thoughts.

We will not sacrifice Tompolo like our fathers sacrificed Isaac Boro - Ijaw Youth Council - Duration: 2:14.

We will not sacrifice Tompolo like our fathers sacrificed Isaac Boro - Ijaw Youth Council

The Ijaw Youth Council has declared its full support for fugitive former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, Vanguard reports. The council made its position known on Friday, November 10, via its leader, Mr Pereotubo Oweilaemi.

NAIJ. com gathers that Oweilaemi warned those he referred to as 'laptop fraudsters masquerading as militants', to leave Tompolo alone. He stated that the IYC would not sacrifice Tompolo, like their forefathers sacrificed another Ijaw son, Isaac Boro.

In his words: "For the umpteenth time, the Ijaw nation is appealing to the laptop fraudsters masquerading as militants in the region to leave High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alone.

"They can engage in whatsoever business they so desire for the perpetration of their criminal agenda, but Tompolo's name should not be dragged in. The Ijaw nation is standing behind him.

"We cannot sacrifice Tompolo this time around unlike the way our forefathers unknowingly sacrificed Maj.

Jasper Isaac Adaka Boro to the oppressive Federal Government, which led to his untimely death in 1968 in the course of fighting for the survival of the Ijaw nation in Nigeria.

"Tompolo has not done anything bad to be facing the travails he is going through. His only sin we know is because of his resolve to fight for the survival of the oppressed, dejected and criminally marginalised/colonised Niger Delta people in Nigeria.

"The Ijaw nation in particular should be grateful to have a son like him. A threat to Tompolo's life is a threat to the Ijaw nation.".

Trump and Putin meeting 'will happen one way or another', Kremlin says - Duration: 2:57.

Trump and Putin meeting 'will happen one way or another', Kremlin says

Kremlin officials said they have been "receiving contradictory signals" from the White House, but claimed the Russian leader would meet with his American counterpart "one way or another".

However, the White House has denied the President will not have a meeting with the Russian leader away from the current summit discussions.  Both leaders are in Vietnam to attend the APEC talks in Danang to discuss trade with Asia-Pacific countries, and it was widely expected the pair would come face to face, even if just for an brief 'sideline' meeting.  Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters today Putin would meet Trump on the sidelines of the summit one way or another.

But he later said the prospects of a meeting were unclear. He said: We dont fully understand yet.  "But we are patiently continuing to work in order to come to an understanding.  "Both presidents are in town. .

"One way or another they will cross paths." The already tense situation between the two nuclear powers has come under serious strain in recent months, with Russia's top diplomat in the US recently saying relations had "hit an all time low".

Last month, Russia announced it would be suing Mr Trump's government over the "illegal seizure" of its diplomatic properties in the US.

American officials expelled 35 Russian diplomats and took control of the buildings in response to Moscow kicking out 455 embassy staff from embassies across Russia. The diplomatic crisis comes despite repeated attempts by President Trump to improve links with Mr Putin's government.

The pair reportedly enjoyed a positive first meeting at the G20 in July, and the US leader repeatedly praised the Russian leader during his 2016 election campaign.

Mr Trump has said it would "be a great thing if we could get along Russia", though relations have since soured after US lawmakers approved fresh sanctions as punishment for Russia's meddling in the 2016 election.

Chelsea transfer news: Arturo Vidal 'will be allowed to leave Bayern Munich for £50m'

BAYERN MUNICH will let Chelsea target Arturo Vidal leave the club for £50million in the summer, according to reports.

The valuation remains above the £34m Blues rate him at but a lack of midfield options may force them to reconsider.

Arturo Vidal will reportedly be allowed to leave Bayern Munich next summer.

Former Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti 100 per cent ruled out selling the Chile ace in the summer.

But the Italian has since been sacked as manager and German news outlet Kicker claims the club are now willing to sell.

The report also claims Bayern are unhappy with Vidals performances and are unsure he can rediscover his best form.

His contract expires in June 2019 and the Bavarian giants risk losing him for free.

Bayern Munich are reportedly unhappy with Arturo Vidals displays this season.

Antonio Conte and Arturo Vidal won three Serie A titles together at Juventus.

Reports in Chile this year claimed Antonio Conte had held talks with Vidal - and that the midfielder was learning English ahead of a Premier League switch.

Vidal, 30, joined Bayern from Juventus in a £25.

5m deal in 2015.

Conte has bemoaned his lack of squad depth numerous times this season.

Defeats to Crystal Palace and Roma - and a draw against the Serie A club - in October while NGolo Kante was out injured reinforced his point.

Man City worried Man Utd or Chelsea will sign Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez - Craig Burnley - Duration: 2:00.

Man City worried Man Utd or Chelsea will sign Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez - Craig Burnley

Sanchez is out of contract at the end of the season, with Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger recently conceding that the Chilean could leave in January.

The 29-year-old came close to rejoining former Barcelona manger Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in the summer, but the move fell through as Arsenal failed to sign a replacement.

But Burley suggests Premier League rivals Manchester United or Chelsea could beat City to the signing of Sanchez. "There's another couple of clubs that could satisfy his wage demands," Burley said.

"That would be across London to Chelsea or up north to Manchester United. Let's be honest, they (United) cannot have enough players of that ilk.

"They've got (Marcus) Rashford who plays a little wider at the moment, but ultimately he will want to play through the middle.

"You've got (Anthony) Martial who when he's good he's good but when he's not he's usually just coming off the bench. "(Henrikh) Mkhitaryan hasn't been brilliant for them recently, after a decent start he's been poor.

"So there is maybe another couple of clubs, maybe City are worried about him going to one of those clubs as well.".

Rafael Nadal's coach Toni Nadal reveals what he will miss most after retiring - Duration: 2:08.

Rafael Nadal's coach Toni Nadal reveals what he will miss most after retiring

Toni has worked with nephew Rafa since he was a kid and the pair have combined to bring home 16 Grand Slams.

Tonis Slams record is the most successful of any coach in history but he is now calling it a day after the end-of-season championships.

On what it's like to work with Nadal, he said: I have been lucky to have had a life in tennis with one of the great performers,.

Ill miss it for sure, but I will also have a great time back in Mallorca.   I will also miss training Rafa because we have been doing this for many years, I like training a lot..

Nadal has never won the ATP World Tour finals crown and he will have to play through the pain barrier if he is to do so this year.

A right knee injury has put his participation in doubt but the Spaniard is set to win his fitness race to play at the O2.

Despite it being the last tournament of his career, Toni isn't placing any extra significance on it.

He told Marca: No, I dont think it is [special], when I go to a tournament I dont think about what comes next.   My feeling in a tournament is that it is just one more tournament for me.

Whenever I buy a ticket, I will go and see him play, the end of the season will be special as I begin another life..

One Star Blows up Twice; Giant Magellan Telescope Update; ALMA Observes How Our Sun Will Die - Duration: 12:17.

Hello Space Fans and welcome to another edition of Space Fan News.

In this episode, astronomers observe a star that has gone supernova, not once, but twice;

the Giant Magellan Telescope starts casting its fifth mirror segment; and ALMA provides

us with the most detailed image of a red giant star ever produced and gives us a glimpse

of the fate of our own solar system.

Most space fans have learned by now, as most of us have been taught, that when very massive

stars die, they usually explode in a fiery event known as a supernova.

These cataclysmic deaths usually result in a beautiful, expanding cloud of stellar debris

that leaves behind a remnant: a rapidly spinning neutron star called a pulsar, or a black hole.

And, that's usually it.

While this event is spectacular and amazing, it usually only happens once.

I mean, how many times can a star die, right?

Well, as with most things about the universe, things aren't quite that simple.

Astronomers using the Keck Observatory on Mauna Kea in Hawai'i have found evidence

of a star that has gone supernova at least twice over the course of the last fifty years.

The Keck team was quite surprised and after having discovered some 5,000 supernovae, had

never seen one quite like this.

The spectra from this event looked like a 'normal' hydrogen-rich, core collapse

supernovae which last about 100 days, but the spectra from this one grew brighter and

dimmer at least five times more slowly, stretching out an event which normally lasts 100 days

to over two years.

The supernova, named iPTF14hls, was discovered in September of 2014 by the Palomar Transient

Factory (I love that name).

At the time, it looked like an ordinary supernova.

Several months later, Las Cumbres Observatory astronomers noticed the supernova was growing

brighter again after it had faded.

Well, that's not normal, they must have said.

When astronomers went back and looked at archival data, they were surprised to find evidence

of an explosion in 1954 at the same location.

This star somehow survived that explosion and exploded again in 2014.

The star that blew up was at least 50 times more massive than the sun and probably much

larger.

Supernova iPTF14hls may have been the most massive stellar explosion ever seen.

The size of this explosion could be the reason that our conventional understanding of the

death of stars failed to explain this event.

So to try and understand this strange observation, astronomers did what scientists often do when

they see a new thing, they make up a new category of thing and put whatever it is in there.

What this might be, astronomers say, is a "Pulsational Pair Instability Supernova."

If you don't know what that is, don't feel bad, you're not alone - I'm learning

about this too.

Apparently, according to the theory, what may have happened is that this was the result

of star so massive and hot that it generated antimatter in its core.

That would cause the star to go violently unstable, and undergo repeated bright eruptions

over periods of years.

That process may even repeat over decades before the star's large final explosion

and collapse to a black hole.

The main problem though is that these Pulsational Pair Instability Supernovae are supposed to

only really occur in the early universe, when the universe was less than about a billion

years old.

This supernova is much closer than that, only about a half billion light years away, so

it's basically happening today in cosmological timescales.

Another problem is that this supernova was more powerful than most Pulsational Pair Instability

Supernovae are supposed to be so this theory doesn't fully explain the observations.

So astronomers really don't know what's going on here and they'd love to see another

one.

They are going to keep watching this because, well they can.

It stays bright three years after it's discovered.

So there you go folks, just when you think you understand something, like the deaths

of massive stars, you see something you've never seen before that doesn't fit into

our knowledge of how we think the universe works.

Science is a never-ending journey, it's always something.

Next, The Giant Magellan Telescope Organization (GMTO) announced that it has started the casting

of the fifth of seven mirrors that will form the heart of the Giant Magellan Telescope

(GMT).

When completed, the GMT will be the largest telescope ever built.

The 25-meter diameter GMT will be built in the Chilean Andes and will be used to study

planets around other stars and to look back to the time when the first galaxies formed.

Sounds a lot like what the JWST will do, only from the ground.

Now listen to this, it's incredible.

The process of "casting" the giant mirror involves melting nearly 20 tons of glass in

a spinning furnace.

This spinning will give the mirror its initial shape and once cooled, the glass disk will

be polished to its final shape using state-of-the-art technology developed by the University of

Arizona.

The GMT will combine the light from seven of these 8.4 meter mirrors to create a telescope

with an effective aperture 24.5 meters in diameter (80 feet).

With this unique design, the GMT will produce images that are 10 times sharper than those

from the Hubble Space telescope in the infrared region of the spectrum.

This really is a different way to make a mirror, I've never heard of anything like this.

The mirrors begin as these pristine blocks of custom manufactured low-expansion E6 glass

from the Ohara Corporation of Japan.

Precisely 17,481 kg of these glass blocks have been placed by hand into a custom-built

furnace pre-loaded with a hexagonal mold.

At the peak of the lengthy casting process, in which the giant furnace spins at up to

five revolutions per minute, the glass is heated to 1165°C (2129°F) for about four

hours until it liquefies and flows into the mold.

The casting process continues as the glass is carefully cooled for three months while

the furnace spins at a slower rate.

The glass then undergoes an extended period of shaping and polishing.

The result of this high-precision process is a mirror that is polished to an accuracy

of one twentieth of a wavelength of light, or less than one thousandth of the width of

a human hair.

Now that's how you make a mirror.

With this casting, the fifth GMT mirror joins the additional GMT mirrors at various stages

of production in the Mirror Lab.

Polishing of mirror 2's front surface is well underway; coarse grinding will begin

on the front of the third mirror shortly and mirror number 4, the central mirror, will

soon be ready for coarse grinding following mirror 3.

The first GMT mirror was completed several years ago and was moved to a storage location

in Tucson this September, awaiting the next stage of its journey to Chile.

The glass for mirror 6 has been delivered to Tucson and mirror seven's glass is on

order from the Ohara factory in Japan.

This telescope, when finished, will be among the largest privately-funded scientific projects

ever and continues a trend that we're seeing with a lot of these initiatives, like the

Planets Foundation, which hopes to build even larger ground-based scopes to find life in

the universe.

Finally, the Atacama Large Millimetre/Submillimetre Array (ALMA) has made the sharpest observations

yet of a star with the same starting mass as the Sun.

The new images show for the first time details on the surface of the red giant W Hydrae,

320 light years distant in the constellation of Hydra.

What's important here is that this star is very similar to our own Sun and provides

a glimpse of what will happen to us in about 5 billion years.

Stars like the Sun evolve over timescales of many billion years.

When they reach old age, they puff up and become bigger, cooler and more prone to lose

mass in the form of stellar winds.

As you know, stars manufacture important elements like carbon and nitrogen.

When they reach the red giant stage, these elements are released into space, ready to

be used in subsequent generations of new stars.

ALMA's images provide the clearest view yet of the surface of a red giant with a similar

mass to the Sun.

Earlier sharp images have shown details on much more massive, red supergiant stars like

Betelgeuse and Antares.

These observations have also contained some surprises.

There was the presence of an unexpectedly compact and bright spot astronomers think

provides evidence that the star has surprisingly hot gas in a layer above the star's surface:

the chromosphere.

The measurements of the bright spot suggest there are powerful shock waves in the star's

atmosphere that reach higher temperatures than are predicted by current theoretical

models for AGB stars.

Or - and this is interesting as well - this star could have been undergoing a giant flare

when the observations were made.

So while there is much these observations can teach us about what will happen to a star

like our Sun, here's the part that I found most interesting.

This graphic shows the orbit of the earth (that dotted line) superimposed on the ALMA

image of the star.

Astronomers have never been sure just how large our Sun will get when it expands into

a red giant, some have said it will go out past Jupiter.

But this suggests that our Sun may expand out past Mars and stop before it gets to Jupiter.

Still, no matter what, Earth is in for a really bad day some five billion years from now.

Well, that's it for this episode Space Fans.

Wall Street Financial Analyst Said 1 Thing That Will END Hillary Clinton(VIDEO)!! - Duration: 15:17.

Wall Street Financial Analyst Said 1 Thing That Will END Hillary Clinton

after looking into the Clinton Global Initiative records on more than one year

Charles or tell a financial whistleblower and analysts found major

discrepancies that he says could be fraud he joins me now I just want to

explain to our audience you know you are somebody who looks into these very

detailed financial records it is a ton of work it took you 15 months to do this

you are somebody that correctly identified the problems at both GE and

AIG so this is not a political thing this you know numbers and this finance

is hard work it's your business now looking inside this I've started to go

through your reports you have 40 reports that you're going to be releasing one

thing that jumped out at me I mean there are so many details but one of the

biggest is this idea that Bill Clinton paid himself and collected payments from

something called Laureate for sixteen point five million dollars this is

related to the foundation explain that relationship to us sure in a foundation

unlike typical business activities you're not actually allowed to mix a

not-for-profit work with for-profit work you're strictly not allowed to do it and

Bill Clinton has actually from the very beginning in taking payments from donors

for speeches Hilary's been taking payments for speeches for business

activities that have not been disclosed in the financial filing for the

foundation the way they need to be last week The Wall Street Journal had a big

piece about a two million dollar investment that was a private deal

arranged through the Global Initiative this is a far bigger thing this is a

multi-billion dollar deal that was in trouble that agreed to prop itself up by

hiring Bill Clinton as Chancellor of this for-profit university system

globally sounds like Trump University it's way bigger is it is this illegal is

it fraud I mean this idea of commingling because that's one of the major themes

here is the idea that they mixed for-profit business with their non

profit company and then also government influence what would you call that

I mean is it fraud is it illegal can you go to jail what is that well yeah I mean

there's various aspects to the set of illegal activities there are operating

solicitation frauds and those are the easiest things to understand when you

have a charity and you're soliciting in states in foreign countries you apps

solutely have to file truthful disclosures and you can't Slough it off

on accountants and the executives the trustees are responsible for doing that

and the IRS and the tax authorities don't trust you they require you to get

audits the Clinton Foundation no part of it has ever gotten the compliant audit

inception October 23rd 1990s that's something that's required everywhere I

mean now everyone gets financial audits they're not doing that you say that

there were disclosures on one side about how much people had given and disclosure

from the foundation about what they had been given didn't match what do you make

of that well this is big stuff and it gets to the heart of the controversy the

Lois Lerner controversy the IRS has all this information they have extensive

file so when you have a foundation and you make donations you have to list out

in your filings who who got the money similarly you have to list out on these

filings for the IRS only not for the public who gave you big donations so

anybody in the IRS I did this myself I'm one person it's taken me 15 months but I

took the big donors the big government's the big foundations and I looked through

their filings and compared them what they said they get to gave to the

Clinton Foundation with what the Clinton Foundation says it receives in press

releases and in other disclosures and there are massive discrepancies yeah the

final thing you say that they only give I mean and this is something I always

get stuck on they only use 10% of their budget towards charitable good works

what they're actually supposed to do I mean the rest of it amazingly 33% to

salaries and benefits 47% to all of their expenses which raises the question

is this even a charity I mean isn't that the essential question it's absolutely

essential question because you can't just say we couldn't just form a charity

and go off to Europe I mean you have to have a specific tax-exempt charitable

purpose and there is no evidence that the Clinton Foundation was ever approved

to be anything other than a library and research facility in Little Rock yeah

Wow amazing I hope you come back this is the story there's a lot a lot of legs

here for this one thank you Clinton's are adding another check to their list

of controversies Clinton University scandal taking center stage as it is

much bigger than Donald Trump's actually for-profit college named Bill Clinton

honorary Chancellor a position that paid him sixteen point five million dollars

over five years chump change no one's talking about this no now here

now is Charl or Charles or tell he's the whistleblower who previously found major

gaps in the foundation so much of the Clinton finances let me ask you about

this one so he's getting paid why laureate at the same time that laureate

has business before the State Department Hillary Clinton is in charge and they're

giving money to laureate laureates giving money to Bill Clinton I mean how

is that what am I missing because that sounds like it's a major scandal first

of all let's talk size we're talking here in the laureate transaction it's a

four billion dollar transaction when it was originally completed in August of

2007 so it's sizable it came together just as the credit crisis was unfolding

and a lot of people who were involved in this transaction ultimately were

benefited by the US government citibank goldman other people and this thing the

basic idea of a for-profit university doesn't really make that much sense the

Obama administration is targeted many others but so the disclosures for the

Clinton Foundation and the disclosures from laureate do not explain even now

even the ones that were amended for the Clinton Foundation in November last year

they don't explain the bill was taking sixteen point five million I don't

explain it how did you figure it out because maybe that's the problem why

they're not getting in troubles because as clearly as we painted it it's not

painted that clearly to the average eye well actually you know where you can

find it is you can find some of this in the SEC filings that are available in

the public domain for two transactions that are now ongoing starting last year

to try to raise money at the laureate level common stock and to exchange debt

at the laureate level those disclosure documents are hundreds of pages of long

and they don't explain these payments nor do the revised Clinton Foundation

filings so the same regulators who are looking at the laureate transactions the

SEC the state regulators the foreign regulators should now turn their

attention to the Clinton filings and look at these discrepancies are massive

just to explain to the audience out there that that might not know you did a

tremendous amount of work to go through all of these papers and put this

together and no average person can do this I think a lot of government

bureaucrats and officials would have a very hard time doing this you have a

reputation for having done this very accurately in the past before the

Finance crisis and predicting a lot of problems

there and going through the records so I would imagine you went through all this

and then you go and present it to someone right and kind of show them how

to connect the dots have you done that where does that stand I have done that

what I did is I realized that early on this is such a variance today from where

it was fifteen months ago or 16 months ago I mean people even I when I thought

about the Clinton Foundation at first I thought former president aspiring

president Chelsea Clinton PhD a lot of smart

people and money around this the filing should have been great so even I when I

looked at it didn't believe it but then I took it around to a large number of

experts lawyers accounts etcetera satisfied myself that I was right then I

satisfied myself that such overwhelming political consequences great that it

would take time for the public to get it I've taken it to certain state

regulators I've taken it to certain foreign people I wouldn't be the FBI I

mean who would be the IRS well I'm told I mean either the IRS nor the FBI have

approached me I wrote an article last year that was in Fox actually that got a

tremendous amount of coverage why isn't the IRS auditing the Clinton Foundation

and I and I got to believe it work if it weren't so politicized it would be okay

we're not gonna let this go Thank You Charles appreciate your time

all right the Clintons charity facing more scrutiny the IRS confirming and is

looking into pay-for-play claims of the Clinton Foundation this following a

letter from Republican lawmakers urging the agency to review possible criminal

conduct at the foundation here now as Charles or tell the financial

whistleblower who previously found major gaps in the Clinton Global Initiative

records so the last time you were on this is what we were talking about was

when is the government going to look into these claims now the IRS is looking

into it what do you think they're going to find

well the difference with this investigation and others is that there's

extensive evidence already out in the public domain because it has to be in

the public domain the Clinton Foundation and the many different affiliates that

are part of the Clinton Foundation are all public charities as we have this

broadcaster soliciting from the public so the laws around the world require

them to issue their tax returns mostly it entirely the public domain we don't

have a lot of time so I want to drill down there what is it that they would be

looking for because we've seen through the records and for what you've put out

there that they've done things like a country our company's lobbying the State

Department desperately for something money changes hands both at a personal

level for a speech into the Clinton's bank account also into the foundation

for something then miraculously that body gets exactly what they want from

the State Department even in instances like with Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi

that went against American interests and against American companies we already

know that so what are they looking for is it like a smoking gun email where

they would you know outline the quid pro quo or what is it actually it's slightly

different the issue is that all of the donors the major donors to this

foundation also file with their their governments or with the IRS and there

are massive discrepancies between for example what the Gates Foundation says

it gave to the Clinton Foundation and what the Clinton Foundation may have

declared is coming from the Gates Foundation from unit 8 the biggest donor

from governments around the world in addition this foundation was never

validly authorized to be anything other than a presidential archive so all

solicitations for other purposes okay are illegal so but what that tells you

is they would say off we have sloppy record-keeping we have different

entities where they just made a mistake it's not that big of a deal it doesn't

show pay-for-play actually recently there was a

congresswoman who is now faces 350 years in prison for it $800,000 slush fund

when you have no controls no audits and this volume of money over two billion

sloshing towards a charity the set of charities are out of control

major problems so what is the essential piece of evidence because this is what

it came down to in the email scandal as well that would be the difference

between wow we're just not good at record-keeping oops

which is how the Clintons always get away with everything versus this is

evidence that this is our own personal slush fund

well this foundation has never actually had an audit nobody has ever checked

this foundation that is strictly forbidden and you're going back to 1997

they've never had an audit so in the last time Hillary ran in 2007 ate a

hundred million dollars is missing in that time frame from the Clinton

Foundation books Wow so do you have any hope that this is

going to turn into anything because as soon as we brought this up I mean on

social media Twitter everywhere they said the Clintons are Teflon

they've been stealing forever and do these kind of things forever they never

get in trouble for it they always get out of it and especially now is she's

closer to being president than ever before the difference here is that there

are state and foreign crimes that President Obama cannot pardon he could

pardon federal crimes but not state and not foreign and there are a lot of them

that I see in the books around the world going back almost 20 years Charles were

trusting you to stay on top of this will you stay on top of it come back and see

us I'm doing my best and hoping I don't get hit by lightning or a giant boss

yeah I was going to say coronation child thank you you know what I love about

Charles not only is a great investigator he's a Harvard MBA former investment

bankers so nobody knows how to look into the numbers nobody in journalism as well

as he does it's very very good work friends of Hillary Clinton now say the

family needs to sever all connections to the Clinton Foundation but that might

not be enough to end questions of how it was used to cash in on her position as

Secretary of State and now even the possibility it was used to launder

foreign money here now is Charles or tell he's a financial whistleblower who

previously found major gaps in Clinton records Charles they're several foreign

entities that the Clinton Foundation had they call them little brothers if you

will one of which was in Sweden now this was a time in 2009 until 2014 when

Sweden had a couple of companies big companies like Volvo and Ericsson that

were dealing with Iran and the State Department was reviewing whether that

was proper or not at the same time the little brother Clinton Foundation was

receiving a lot of money from Sweden in the form of checks from the lottery and

other institutions that by the way is their 990 form the Clinton Foundation

that shows the Stockholm branch but switched to how much money they were

getting from this Stockholm branch in 2014 almost 7 billion in 2013 almost 10

million 2012 5 million this was at the same time when the State Department

pulled back on investigating these Swedish companies is there a connection

yeah I think the first point that your viewers should understand is that there

is no real independent check if any of these numbers as is required by federal

a law here so the numbers that you're throwing around there on the 990 have

never been independently verified by anybody so we really don't know whether

that's a lowball estimate a high estimate or what but you're not supposed

to lie to the IRS most of us get in big trouble if we do that absolutely and

even you know the IRS has one set of rules but New York State has an even

tougher set of rules which requires you to reconcile the general line of the

income statement on your 990 of government grants grants and provide

tremendous details Clinton Foundation's never done that since inception but

here's the real question Charles as far as the Swedish group is concerned it

looks like they were shell organization they didn't have an office they didn't

have employees in Stockholm they were just a pass-through swedish companies

that wanted to give money the Clinton Foundation gave it to the Swedish entity

which passed it on to the US Clinton Foundation that seems like money

laundering to me does it does it to you absolutely and there's another provision

that most people don't know about and that is that the u.s. public charity has

to control its foreign operations tightly you're not allowed to have shell

companies around the world you're supposed to have tight controls Board

minutes and you're supposed to have an accounting firm to really check all this

the firm they used in that in the early period 2011 and 12 was the firm called B

KD which really doesn't have any international capabilities to speak of

unbelievable the other thing is they weren't straightforward with the State

Department about about whether this entity even existed correct absolutely

and you know that's just normally a normal human being would be severely

reprimanded by all sorts of governments for this type of activity incredible

stuff Charles or tell thank you very much for digging it up for us we

appreciate it
