The Indonesian island of Bali is under threat of what appears to be an imminent volcanic
eruption.
On Wednesday, the local airport was closed for a third day due to the ash clogging the
air, leaving tens of thousands stranded.
People in the area have been told to evacuate.

atmosphere.
Indonesian officials fear Bali's Mount Agung is on the verge of a full-scale eruption,...
and local residents and journalists within ten kilometers of the volcano were told by
authorities to evacuate.

Bali's main airport, Denpasar International Airport, has remained closed for three consecutive
days,... leaving nearly 60-thousand travelers stranded.
Officials extended the closure of Bali's international airport for another 24 hours,.... due to concerns
the thick volcanic ash could harm aircraft.
As flights could be suspended for even longer and the volcano is showing signs of moving
toward a full-scale eruption, President Moon Jae-in, during the National Security Council
meeting on Wednesday morning, urged his staff to do everything they can to ensure the safety
of Koreans in the area.

"President Moon Jae-in asked Foreign Affairs Minister Kang Kyung-hwa, to take active measures,
including sending chartered airplane to secure safe passage for Korean residents and tourists
in Bali, stranded by the eruption."
Korea's embassy in Indonesia has drawn up measures to ensure the safety of its nationals
on Bali,... by providing alternative transportation, including ferries and buses, to help 200 Korean
tourists make the 12 to 13 hour journey from Bali to Juanda Airport on Indonesia's Java
Island.
With Indonesian officials predicting a larger eruption in the upcoming days, there are concerns
for the nearly 1-thousand Korean citizens who are still waiting for a way to leave the
island.

Things You Didn't Know About Kacy Catanzaro - Duration: 4:51.
Kacy Catanzaro is a superstar competitor who inspired generations of future female athletes
when she became the first woman to finish the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course
and qualify for the final.
But there's a lot more to her than her jaw-dropping strength and athleticism on the course.
Here's what Catanzaro's life is like when she's not competing on TV.
Gymnastics star
Catanzaro had great training to prepare her to become a Warrior.
She told Esquire magazine that she started gymnastics when she was just four or five
years old and dropped everything else to pursue the sport.
In her college years, Catanzaro went on to join the Division One gymnastics team at Towson
University.
After college, she set her sights on Ninja Warrior, and she believes that her training
as a gymnast helped her succeed.
She told ESPN,
"When you get to the competition, most people don't know how their body will react to the
pressure.
But I do.
I've competed literally hundreds of times in gymnastics and trained how to do what I
need to do at just the right time."
It's the climb
We all have songs that motivate us, and it turns out that Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" is
on Catanzaro's playlist.
During a 2014 interview with Esquire, she confessed to being a fan of the Cyrus tune,
and not just because it's a song about kicking butt.
She explained,
"It's like, 'Endure the journey that you take to reach your top moment.
You might not get there right now but when you do, remember what you did to get there."
Warrior's best friend
Catanzaro has a major love for animals, but there was one in particular who really stole
her heart — her beloved dog, Mr. Mogley.
However, in 2017, when she revealed that he had passed away, she chose to honor his memory
by helping other animals, and joined forces with the national animal welfare organization
Best Friends Animal Society.
Together, Catanzaro and the organization created t-shirts with Mr. Mogley's likeness, and 100
percent of all the proceeds from this shirt went towards helping the organization and
its projects.
Thanks to the ex
Catanzaro credits a lot of her success to her now ex-boyfriend and former coach, Brent
Steffensen.
When the two were still just exchanging training and diet tips, Steffensen was offered a job
in San Antonio to test out Alpha Warrior's obstacle course, and he recommended Catanzaro
as well.
The pair began working together — and that's how their romance first started.
In 2014, she told Esquire magazine,
"He moved from L.A. and I moved from New Jersey.
We met in Texas and then about two months later we started dating.
That was almost a year and a half ago, February 2013."
An additional obstacle
At five feet tall, Catanzaro often speaks about her height and how it's been a disadvantage
to her.
She told Esquire that her size made it harder to compete on American Ninja Warrior, saying,
"Being so short is definitely a disadvantage.
In Dallas, there was part of the course where the guys could swing and with one arm reach
the next obstacle.
I had to wind up, swing, and actually let go and catch the next one with both hands.
My body was like mush at the end."
"I've been small my whole life and I've never let that hold me back before and I'm definitely
not gonna start now."
On the bright side
Perhaps one of the greatest things about Catanzaro is that she always looks on the bright side
of things, and her social media is a treasure trove of motivational messages.
Not long after conquering the American Ninja Warrior course in 2014, Catanzaro revealed
to Vulture that while she wanted to push her own boundaries, she also wanted to inspire
other women to do the same.
She said,
"I want to do these things to prove to myself, but like I've said before, I also wanted to
make these big steps for everyone, for all the women out there and for everybody else
that thinks that they can't do something or that they have an excuse."
"Kacy is the reason why I started American Ninja Warrior."
"That's right, ladies, woo!"
American pride
Catanzaro has a lot of love and respect for those who serve in the United States military
— her current boyfriend, Dave Reid, is one of them — and she has taken to Instagram
to praise veterans.
In a Memorial Day post, she wrote about how we should be grateful "for the men and women
who gave it all and have died while serving in this country's armed forces."
She also thanked those currently serving, saying that "the words never seem like enough"
and that they "deserve the greatest of thanks."
Catanzaro also praised Reid, who seven years ago was injured in Afghanistan by stepping
through a doorway that was rigged with an I.E.D.
From warrior to wrestler
Unfortunately, in 2017, Catanzaro retired from Ninja Warrior — but this also spurred
her transition into wrestling.
"No one has been a more inspirational figure to women, men, and the entire Ninja community.
Mighty Kacy will be missed."
World Wrestling Entertainment announced that Catanzaro was joining the company during a
taping for the Mae Young Classic.
Catanzaro spoke to USA Today in August 2017 about how she used to watch wrestling as a
kid, and how she was excited to take on the new challenge.
After multiple offers to join WWE, she was finally ready to accept.
She said,
"For a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be brought to me a handful of times — I knew
that it was rare, and I was getting older.
I want to be somewhere where I can make the biggest impact I can."

We thought so too, and wanted to give Melania all the credit in the world for taking her
time to decorate the White House so beautifully.

When the White House first revealed this year's Christmas theme, leftists across Twitter immediately
started brutally mocking Melania's hard work.
To be honest, it's enough to make you enraged.

Twitter has gone into meltdown over the White House's 'creepy' Christmas decorations
which many say would not look out of place in a horror movie.
Melania Trump was said so have 'personally selected' most of the Christmas decor for
this year's 'time honored traditions' theme, according to Press Secretary Sarah

But while most rooms featured, warm and welcoming displays, one room looked more frightening
than festive.
The eerie, twig-lined hallway has been compared to everything from The Shining to the Adam's
Family after Stephanie Grisham, one of White House communications team for Melania, shared
a photo of the room on Sunday.
Now hundreds of people have flocked social media to mock the first lady's unusual artistic
choice.
These people are something else, aren't they?
Is there really nothing left in this country that's sacred?
The depravity of the left seems to know no bounds, but then again it's really not surprising
considering how they've conducted themselves for the past year – like petulant children
throwing the world's longest collective temper tantrum.
Meanwhile, to the rest of us, the beautifully arranged hallway looks like what it's supposed

However, we must give credit where credit is due, and a new bill targeting the pensions
received by former presidents is something we can all agree on.
It�s no secret that past presidents take in an exorbitant amount of money when they
leave office, from both book deals, speaking engagements, and other well-paying activities,
so it makes no sense that taxpayers should be forking over hundreds of thousands of dollars
a year in what amounts to high-end welfare.
So on Wednesday, a bill introduced to the Senate by Joni Ernst was passed out of the
Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs that would scale back
pas president�s pensions by a large margin, the Daily Caller reported.
�Our national debt now exceeds $20 trillion; this bipartisan effort is another important
step toward reigning in Washington�s out-of-control spending,� the Iowa Senator said in a statement.
It�s worth noting that Barack Obama vetoed a similar measure last year before leaving
office, and it doesn�t take a rocket scientist to figure out why.
Since he�s left the White House, he�s been on extravagant vacations and traveled
the globe, all while being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for speeches while still
taking in his presidential pension.
In fact, just one speech yielded the former White House squatter $400,000, Bloomberg News
reported.
However, under Ernst�s proposal, not only would his pension be capped at $200,000 a
year, but every dollar over $400,000 he made in the private sector would be deducted from
his annual stipend from taxpayers.
�It is ridiculous to continue asking taxpayers to help foot the bill for former presidents�
perks at a time when they already rake in millions of dollars from book deals, speaking
engagements, and more,� Ernst said, and we agree.
The House is also working on a companion bill that would also limit pensions.
However, neither bill would reduce or change the security former presidents are entitled
to.
In 2017 alone, the five living former presidents cost American taxpayers some $2.8 billion
in salary, staff, security, and other perks of the office, a Congressional Research Service
report found.
When similar measures passed both the House and the Senate last year, former White House
press secretary Josh Earnest lamented that the bill would immediately remove staffers
from their jobs assisting former presidents when they left office, �leaving no time
or mechanism for them to transition to another payroll.�
Welcome to life in the private sector.
Regardless of who the former president is, there�s absolutely no reason we should be
doling out billions of dollars a year to support them while they�re also raking in millions
from books, speeches, and anything else they can do to make money.
While this bill is undoubtedly needed, it�s definitely long overdue.

Trump is about to address the nation.
While most people were looking forward to this holiday with loved ones that kicks off
this special season, Chicago thugs were preparing for a bloodbath knowing that nobody would
stop them at their killing game that began the night before the feast and didn�t stop
until Sunday.
Officials in Chicago have overlooked the problems in their city for too long and it�s been
at the cost of countless lives.
As Barack Obama�s former hometown, he didn�t seem to want to address it either and the
rising murder rate is also a big part of his legacy having made excuses for criminals and
empowered Black Lives Matter.
Now that there is a real leader in charge, President Donald Trump isn�t letting murderous
thugs get away with this killing spree at a rate of one fatality every hour and 45 minutes
in the Windy City, according to stats provided by HeyJackass.com.
The respect for human life is completely absent in the tight gun-controlled city on both ends
of the spectrum.
Thugs pick their victims at random without concern for age, as was seen this weekend
with the unprecedented violence.
This lack of respect extends to local government which has done nothing to stop in and removed
citizens� right to defend themselves against it.
�Six men were killed and at least 30 other people have been wounded in shootings across
Chicago during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, which began Wednesday night,� ABC Chicago
reported.The latest killing happened about 10:30 a.m.
Sunday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
An unknown male approached an 18-year-old man and shot him several times in the 200
block of North Lockwood, according to Chicago Police.
The man was taken to Loretto Hospital, where he died.
The Cook County medical examiner�s office did not immediately report the fatality.�
Chicago has become more of a war zone than a place to call home, where it�s not even
safe to go outside without risking your life.
Trump has previously come out on the issue, announcing that Chicago cops need to be able
to do their job, which would stop this crime spree �immediately.� As he�s about to
address the threat today from North Korea, the killing spree at home will likely be next
on his list.
�President Donald Trump�s claim that a mystery police officer has a quick fix for
Chicago�s violent crime problems continued to evolve Wednesday night, as the president
claimed the unnamed cop told him �if they let us do our job we could stop it immediately,��
CBS reports.
�By being very much tougher than they are right now.
They�re right now not tough.� Trump said in an August 2016 interview with Bill O�Reilly.
�When I was in Chicago, I got to meet a couple of very top police.
I said, �How do you stop this, how do you stop this?
If you were put in charge� Do you think you could stop this?� He said, �Mr. Trump,
I�d be able to stop it in one week.� And I believed him 100 percent.�
Almost as shocking as the overwhelming crime rate in the city, is the fact that in 90 percent
of these cases, where victims were either injured or killed, not a single suspect has
been charged, Allen B. West reported.
Perhaps this statistic came out at the end of Barack Obama�s presidency, after allowing
thugs to run free and excuse it as what disgruntled millennials do when suffering from poverty.
What�s interesting to note is that not a single one of these shootings this month involved
a police officer, which is a big statistical change since Trump has been in office.
Now, things could be getting a lot worse for these thugs and better for the city suffering
under their wrath since our president has vowed to combat the gangster and thug issued
that runs rampant in inner cities across the country.
He�s one of the first to take a bold stance against it, proving he�s not afraid of these
criminals, and it�s only a matter of time before he publicly addresses this issue again
after his executive orders on the matter and sending ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms)
agents in to help.
Among his pile of important executive orders to get the country back on track, were three
crucial ones targeting gangs, drugs, and crimes against cops.
�According to CNBC, the executive orders will focus on �gang members, drug dealers,
drug cartels & crimes against law enforcement officers�,� Bustle reported.
�During Jeff Sessions� formal ceremony after his confirmation, President Trump announced
his plans for these three executive orders, which give more authority to law enforcement.�
If anyone is doing more for the black community and proving black lives matter than Barack
Obama, it�s his successor, President Trump.
Eighty-eight percent of the victims in Chicago are black and were all ignored while Obama
was in office, pushing and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
Trump will single-handedly save countless black lives by cracking down in these thugs
who kill other people � many of whom are random and just in the wrong place at the

comforting to someone who is actually going through terrible emotional pain as a result
of suffering.
And the question is, does the Christian faith have something to say about that emotional
problem of evil?
And I think it certainly does, John.
Because it tells us that God is not some distant creator who stands aloof, cold and indifferent
to the universe He has made.
Rather, He is a loving heavenly father who shares our sufferings and hurts with us.
In fact, in the person of Jesus Christ, He enters into human history and He identifies
with us by taking on our suffering and our sin.
Alvin Plantinga, who is one of the greatest philosophers in the world today, has written
the following with respect to this problem: "As the Christian sees things, God does
not stand idly by, coolly observing the suffering of His creatures.
He enters into and shares our suffering.
He endures the anguish of seeing His son, the second person of the trinity, consigned
to the bitterly cruel and shameful death of the cross.
Christ was prepared to endure the agonies of hell itself in order to overcome sin and
death and the evils that afflict our world, and to confer on us a life more glorious than
we can imagine.
He was prepared to suffer on our behalf to accept suffering of which we can form no conception."
You see, on the cross Christ innocently bore a suffering that none of us can contemplate.
He bore the punishment for the sin of the whole world.
So when we think about the emotional problem of evil, I think meditation upon the cross
of Christ, and what He was willing to go through because of His love for me, can help to give
me the strength and the courage to bear the cross that He calls upon me to bear in this
finite life until I go to be with Him in glory.
