In my past few "No Dumb Questions," I've been covering the kinds of questions you may
be uncomfortable asking your current financial advisor?
Here's one of the trickiest of all: "How do I break up with my advisor?"
Awkward, right?
And since most investors don't hop from one advisor to the next every-other day,
it can be daunting too.
How do you go about it?
And what should you expect during the transition?
While I hope that breaking up with your advisor is your choice of last resort, let's take
a look at what it takes to do so if you do.
Like the Neil Sedaka song goes, breaking up is hard to do.
This is true for personal and professional relationships alike!
Both usually involve at least a little heartbreak and a whole lot of paperwork, especially if
kids or marriages are involved.
That said, if you've thought it over carefully and concluded that your financial advisor
is no longer serving your best financial interests, there's no sense stringing them along.
A clean break and a fresh start may be the best thing for both of you over the long haul.
As with any romance that's run its course, there are varied reasons why you might decide
it's time for a change.
Sometimes there are irreconcilable differences and
the old, "it's not you, it's me" split.
Other times, maybe it IS them.
One way or another, they've done you wrong and it's time to move on.
There also may be times when your advisor is the one to call it quits on you.Ouch!
Regardless of the reason, I can offer a few tips to remember, no matter what.
First, it's best if you and your advisor are able to remove emotions from the mix.
In an actual marriage, you've exchanged loving, "in sickness and in health," "no
matter what" vows.
But remember, your relationship with your financial advisor is ultimately a business
transaction.
So if you've thought it through and reached a decision that's right for you, there's
no need to feel guilty or apologetic about it.
That holds true even if – in fact, especially if – your advisor is also a personal friend
or family member.
Second, if you're the one making the first move, your advisor will probably ask why … and
may follow up by trying to change your mind.
"Why" is a valid question, and it's not necessarily unreasonable for an advisor
to try to talk you out of the move.
But think through in advance how you'd like to respond.
If you're generally fond of your advisor, you may want to offer an explanation.
A reputable advisor will appreciate your feedback and accept it in the spirit it's given.
On the other hand, if you're fed up with the relationship, less is probably more for
continued conversations.
If you want to vent, fine.
But if you'd rather avoid the confrontation and confusion … remember, you do NOT owe
your advisor an explanation.
A polite but firm "none of your beeswax" is fine.
Let your new advisor serve as your liaison.
This leads me to a final point about what to expect when the transition occurs.
I'd love to tell you: No worries!
Your new advisor has a magic wand to wave away every hassle.
In real life, it doesn't always go quite that smoothly given the number of parties
involved.
There's your old and new advisor, as well as the various account custodians where your
assets are held.
And everyone needs to play nice together if at all possible.
So, even when everyone is competent and cooperative, the shift calls for careful planning, accurate
execution and substantial amount of paperwork to safeguard
your financial security and prevent unnecessary costs
and to avoid any other administrative hassles.
If you've happen to have mixed in incompetent or unscrupulous player
or two into the mix – well that might be
why you're breaking up to begin with – and even the best new advisor in the world may
need your time and patience as they help you navigate through the roadblocks and detours
that might be thrown your way.
While I hope you and your current advisor are enjoying a peaceful and prosperous relationship
that will indeed last you for as long as you both shall live, I also hope this helps you
think through what it may take to move on if it's no longer a match made in heaven.

After receiving a detailed treatment proposal and quote, Sarah decided to go ahead with the booking.
Medscout prepared all the medical documents, planned the trip and

on their way to Berlin.
Upon arrival, Sarah found that Medscout had organized everything for her.

she had to undergo a major operation but her doctors did a great job.
Soon after, Sarah was back home with her family.
To make sure that Sarah stays healthy,
Medscout had arranged that she receives all the medicine she needs

Leadership and Development - How to Get Promoted to Manager - Duration: 3:20.
I've always said you have to be before you become.
So this week I'm gonna give you some tips and help you figure out how to be a leader
and to land that role that you really want.
And make sure you stick around the end for a special bonus.
Hi, I'm Roman Ryder, and on this channel, I help you unlock your powers and be the hero
of your story.
If you're new to my channel, make sure you click below and subscribe.
I put out new videos every week and you don't want to miss out.
Alright, so tip number one is to Dress For Success.
So, basically, you always want to try to dress one level above the current role you're in
if that's feasible.
Sometimes you're gonna be in a role that maybe it's not feasible to wear a tie to work every
day, but I know for me, I was a supervisor, but I was still out in the field and getting
dirty, and I would go to, whether it be sales or places like Sam's or Costco.
I would basically just try to get my clothes as cheap as possible, so I got stuff that
looked fairly nice, but I could go out in the field and tear it up, and it wasn't the
end of the world.
So basically, dress for the job you want, and that doesn't mean dress as Batman.
Because somebody recommended that to me when I mentioned that.
So anyway, dress for success.
Alright, tip number two is Seize Opportunities.
So basically you want to look for any opportunities to do special projects, especially if it's
projects that are gonna get you visible outside your workplace, maybe to be on a team, especially
if you can lead that team, because then you're showing you're able to lead a group already,
so you're 'being before you become' the actual leader.
Also if you don't have many opportunities like that, sometimes it's just a matter of
finding something that you're really passionate about, that maybe nobody else is working on,
and you start working on that thing and start drawing attention and getting backing for
it.
So you basically build your own project to improve something that you're passionate about
at work.
Alright, tip number three is to Step Up.
So look for any opportunities you can to fill that role that you want.
I know for me, personally, I looked for opportunities to step up and fill the supervisor role, whether
the supervisor was leaving for the day, or going on vacation, or whatever the case may
be.
Same thing if you're looking to move into a management role.
I can remember one time I was filling in for my superintendent and also for my plant manager
at the time.
One was out of the country and one was out of the state.
So those are good opportunity to go and get in that role and make some calls, get the
feel for what it's like, and you can also include that when you're looking for that
role, say, "Hey, I've done this job before."
That brings me to this week's bonus, and that is to make your Resume Fit The Job.
That means actually doing the things that that job requires.
So look for every opportunity you can to get involved in things that are gonna be part
of that role.
So when they're reading your résumé, when they're interviewing you, they're thinking,
'wow, this person is already doing this job.'
So for me, that was doing things like getting involved in budget meetings and doing different
projects and things that would be required of me when I've moved up into that new role
that I wanted, so I did everything I possibly could to already know that role before I moved
into it.
Alright, if you take a look at the description below, I've included a link to my Facebook
group, the Hero Mastermind.
I would love to connect with you on there and help you with whatever it is you need
to help you move into that leadership role you want.

How to craft 'Prison Break' swan | Origami | Arun - Duration: 3:45.
Hey guys, this is Arun.. today we gonna make the Prison Break swan
First of all, we need a square sheet of paper
Then, place the one of the edges in front of you like this
Fold it from left to right.. or right to left like this
Then, fold the right part like this
Then, the left part
Make sure that you are folding tightly.. so that it doesn't open
Then, fold that part
You can get this shape
Then, fold from this end to that end (right to left)
So you can get the middle position
From that middle position, fold downwards like this
From that middle position, also fold it to the top position
This is the major part and this is also difficult because it involves..
Major fold
Like this do that to the another part
Fold tightly
Then, refold it
This forms the swan neck
Then, fold three times so that it gets the shape of the face and beak
So moving to the bottom position
You can see that.. Fold to that inside
Taking that part refold it
like this..
Then from the inside fold it
like this.. then to the another part
Finally, fold this two parts of the body
It forms the two wings of this
That's it.. we get the swan
So, this is Arun and camera-man V.Arun signing off.. Thankyou!

Adai Dosa Recipe - How To Make Adai Dosa By Preetha - Karthigai Deepam Special Recipe - Duration: 3:36.
Hi, this is Preetha and you are watching "Dakshin Curry"
For "Karthigai Deepam" along with all the other Naividya, we also make Adai.
Today I'm going to be showing you how to make Adai using a millet, that's Kodo millet.
Now the first thing is going to be adding 1 cup of Kodo Millet.
1/2 cup rice
Water
Now I'm going to wash nicely and then soak this for atleast 3-4 hours.
And now for the Dals
So in goes 1/4 cup Chana Dal
Along with that 1/4 cup Toor Dal
2 tablespoons of urad dal
And 2 tablespoons of Moong Dal.
Now Moong Dal is optional, sometimes people don't use it but I would like to.
Now in this I'm going to add fenugreek seeds
Add enough water
And I'm going to soak this for 1/2 hour
So when you're going to grind the batter, just before half an hour of grinding
Soak this mixture.
Now this is how the batter looks like, after it's ground
Nice and thick.
Now while grinding I added coconut around 1/4 cup
I've also added dry red chillies.
And I've also added curry leaves.
Now I'm again going to add curry leaves in this.
Just going to crush this and add
And I'm also going to add this water
Now this is the water that I've used for soaking the Dal and the rice
I'm going to add some Asafoetida
Asafoetida you can add while grinding the batter also.
And salt
Just going to mix this up well and show you the consistency of the batter.
Now Adai batters are usually little thicker than your dosa batters.
That's it our batter is ready. Let's start making the Adai
So already have a dosa tawa here.
Going to drizzle some oil
Mix it a little
2 spoon full
Rather laddleful
Adai's are usually thick, they are not as thin as dosa's.
After doing this, we're going to drizzle oil all over.
Adai takes little bit more oil, than regular dosa.
Just cook this on one side and once it is done on one side, we're going to flip it over.
It's nice and crisp on the side too.
So let's check whether it's done on other side.
Yes, it's nice and crisp.
Just going to move it on a plate.

What is Conversation? | How to Master English Conversation | Learning English Online - Duration: 1:11.
Conversation! The skill everybody wants to improve in English, but what exactly
is it? really there are five main parts: speaking, listening, vocabulary, asking
questions, and nonverbal communication! you can't just improve one of these
skills, because that's not conversation. you need to know how to speak, how to
express yourself ,but at the same time you need to be a good and especially
active listener to understand what other people are saying, and know how to react.
vocabulary! you can't to get anywhere if you don't have the vocabulary to
communicate in a conversation. asking questions, obviously you can't speak the
entire time. really, in a good conversation you will ask questions that
allow the other person to continue to speak, and for you to listen, learn and
react! nonverbal communication, this kind of stuff! making eye contact, using your
hands, expressing yourself without words in ways that build healthy conversations
that you enjoy. so pick your topic, and let's improve your conversation!

How To RECOVER ON YOUR OWN ♥ 5 Tips! // Eating Disorder Recovery - Duration: 13:59.
Hello everybody its Elisa here
And I'm an eating disorder recovery coach helping you recover from an eating disorder and today's topic
I want to actually answer one of your questions or video requests for me
And I would be very happy to talk about it because this is something that I can talk about my own experience
yeah, and I have some pretty good tips for you and
Also the first thing I want to say is that many people can't recover on their own, and this is totally okay
And you don't have to feel bad about it. You need to ask help, but the fact is that even when you get
recovery help and go through a treatment or something
then even...it's most likely the
to get to full recovery you still need to kind of do it on your own like after coming from a treatment center often
so many people
relapse they go back to restriction so even for you if you have asked help
if you got support for your recovery then even for you this video is important to get you to actually to full recovery and
Yeah, so I want to talk about my own experience because I recovered on my own
from my eating disorders, bulimia and orthorexia and also overexercising and
just like the extreme dieting and stuff so the first thing... and I have some things written down so I will
sometimes look down to my notes. So the first thing
I want to say is that you have to develop this particular
mindset for yourself in recovery and this mindset is like you have to become your own
cheerleader, you have to become your own best friend, you have to become your own recovery coach
who will support you through this process
and especially in those bad days because recovery is hard, in recovery you're gonna have bad days
in recovery you will feel negative you have all of this fears and emotions come up
So especially on those bad days you have to notice what is your mindset
Because you can't only recover on good days you have to keep on recovering
especially and on the bad days as well because this is exactly the moment when the eating sorter will try to
You know like have these kind of negative thoughts about yourself
you misinterpret that those thoughts are you and you shame yourself, you quilt yourself. You are so negative
towards yourself, you bash yourself,
you talk down to yourself
and this is not you, you have to recognize as this is the eating disorder trying to push you back into the
like that restriction
But to get over this you have to develop this mindset that even in those negative days
You're gonna support yourself through it
as a best friend and what I mean is that it doesn't mean that you need to be happy all the time
It doesn't mean that you can't have a bad day
But actually like how to support yourself through those bad days as a best friend would
They would support your they would tell you that they love you they care about you
They want to help you
They would maybe encourage you to be proactive do something about it
And they will tell you the truth that you need to still keep on recovering despite that you have bad days
So you really have to notice your mindset
That you don't go into this like eating disorder thinking and just like being so negative even more negative about yourself
when you have a bad day, but actually like how to
how to instead... instead of focusing on the negativity how to instead focus on
The solution. Okay, I have a bad day
What can I do about it? What can I learn from this? How can I grow stronger from this experience?
And this is how you will support yourself through recovery because recovery is very hard
But having this mindset of being your own best friend your own coach, your own cheerleader
This is really like what helped me go through
the hard parts of recovery.
And the next thing is that you have to develop this another skill
And this skill what I'm talking about is that...
in recovery we have our biggest fears coming up, our biggest fears are manifested
you know the extreme hunger,
the fear of "binging", the fear of weight gain, everything will come up
And you will see your body
kind of changing, your appetite is maybe so big you crave all of those like "unhealthy food", "junk food",
Like your biggest fears all are just in front of you
but you have to develop this skill of
seeing the fear, feeling the fear, but going towards the fear
and going through the fear until the fear will dissolve
because if you
don't develop the skill then what happens is that
as soon as you are afraid to do something, as soon as you are faced with the extreme extreme hunger, as soon as you see
the weight going up - you panic and you go back to your eating disorder and you relapse
But actually you don't understand that the fear... all of this fear comes from your eating disorder and all of this fear is irrational fear
You have to kind of like... you have to go against your brain basically
And this is how you recover from the fear, this is how the fear will go away and this is
why the saying of "Feel the fear and do it anyway"
holds very much truth in recovering you literally have to be okay with being scared,
feeling the fear, you have to be willing to go into the feeling of feeling so uncomfortable
so scared, so anxious
but you must keep on going, and there is the other saying of like if you go through hell then keep going
because only this way it will pass because... and also I have done another video about like why you need to get
uncomfortable in the recovery
And I will link it here so look this video where I explain like why you need to go into the uncomfortable feeling
and this is literally like a skill to develop
in recovery because
Yeah, like if you do it on your own
there's nobody to do it for you nobody to push you into that like doing what's uncomfortable and letting your body you know like
have the extreme hunger
let your body gain weight if it needs to, it's normal, its natural, and you have to kind of like accept the fear
and keep on going because only this way the fear, in time, it will dissolve.
And another tip is that you have to make recovery your number one priority
I'm not telling you to
not to your daily stuff you need to do but
recovery needs to be your top priority. If you're only willing to invest
Like little bit every day to recovery, or from a scale from zero to ten
you're only a level of five commitment to your recovery. You won't get hundred percent results you won't get the full recovery so
recovery needs to become your top number one priority in your life
And yes, it means that you have to kind of like fit it in to each day
I'm not going to say it's gonna be super easy super convenient to you of course recovery is not convenient
This is not how it works
But you have to make the recovery in the forefront of your mind every day
Like you have to focus on recovery, and you can't only recover
When you feel motivated to do so,
you can't only recover when you have another relapse, you can't only recover when you have a good day,
but when the bad day comes you relapse and you feel like oh fuck this thing, and I can't keep going... sorry about that
Yeah, I just get so passionate about this
You can't only recover when it's convenient to you,
you can't only recover when you have a free day
and you have free time to focus on recovery. You have to even recover on your hardest days possible
Yeah, recovery needs to be your number one priority
But also I want to remind you that eating disorder lasts for a lifetime
But recovery is only temporary
And if you get this... if you put the recovery you're number one focus it's only until you get to full recovery
after that
Focus on whatever else you want to focus on
But just give yourself this time to fully be in recovery, focus on recovery
Because this is the fastest way to get over the eating disorder and to recover
But if you're only willing to invest little time here and there then yeah
you would just like prolong your recovery - I don't know like ten years
Maybe you will never get there if you don't commit to full recovery hundred percent you will never get to hundred percent
so yeah
And the next information that really helped me to
Support myself through it because I must admit that many times I thought that I am crazy one
Everybody else who is dieting, just "eating clean" or whatever like they're the normal ones
Me with my eating disorder with my bloating with like no exercise
I am the only crazy one and to get this... I needed so much
reassurance in my recovery and this is why I do these videos because I want to give you this
constant reassurance that you are not crazy,
you need to keep going, you are doing the right thing and this is what I needed as well despite recovering on my own
I couldn't give this to myself like all the time
And that's why I seeking information about recovery for me was like one of the best things that help me
go through those times of like self-doubts and worry about food and eating and my weight
And I got most information from the internet like in today's world the Internet is an amazing place
And I literally recovered
Thanks to the internet
I can say... and yes people say that like a "doctor Google" is not a real doctor
But for me "doctor Google" really helped me
And I really don't want you to get any wrong ideas
Because you do need to ask help from the professionals and stuff
but I just want to say that we underestimate how much good information is out there already and just
By reading about others people's experiences, how they recovered, seeking information about how my body works
You know why the weight gain happens, why the extreme hunger happens
reading forums, reading somebody else's comments and replies and
Question and answers, like it really helped me to
Keep my sanity
In recovery and keep going despite all of that
maybe they're outside information I got about, you know, like the dieting and the weight obsession and everything so
yeah, seeking the recovery related information
was really important for me to help myself go through recovery.
And the last thing I want to mention is that develop some kind of like support system around you whether it's your partner
Maybe your family, your friends
Maybe even online groups recovery groups or some forums or even my videos
they can help you in your recovery journey
whatever you can do to just like have more like minded people around you and people who are positive people who support you
Yeah, and if you can develop this kind of support system around you, whether it's only one person like it doesn't matter
It's still better than nothing
Yeah and make sure
you reach out to them, you talk with them, you ask for help
Yes, so my battery is dying out soon
But I want to wrap this up very quickly
So if you don't know then I also offer recovery coaching if you're interested the link is down in the description
work with me
Yeah, find out more, but yeah
I really hope these tips help you in your recovery journey
If you are recovering on your own or just when you feel like you want to support your own recovery
Yeah, so thank you so much for watching and see you next time. Bye!

How Instagram Uses Machine Learning To Help You Explore - Duration: 2:03.
Today we're at Instagram where we're gonna talk to the head of the community lab,
Dan Toffee, about how they use a combination of machine learning and
human curation to help curate the content that you see in the Discover tab
every time you open up Instagram
[MUSIC]
I've been on the community team for five and a half years now.
And what the community team does has really evolved as the community
has evolved.
And so using machine learning, we have this rich diversity of data
that we're able to use to look for kind constellations of accounts.
And then we can go in with humans and look at it and understand what they're doing.
And we can cut the data in all sorts of interesting ways, by country, by age,
all sorts of different things.
So what we're able to do is use this really high signal set of data and
curate those accounts.
>> I know that when I look at my Discover tab, a lot of it is very obviously,
personalized and catches my interest.
But then some of it's totally out of left field and weird.
How do you balance that machine learning versus human creation?
>> Our sort of, thesis is that there's a sort of, ideal Instagram experience, and
it's one that you are following a diversity of kind of lenses on the world.
And what's important is to give you opportunities to follow things
that are outside of the things that you've already expressed interest in.
And so we try and build some of that into the explore experience to give you new
opportunities to discover something that you maybe didn't have any idea existed.
>> When there's a new community or trend happening on Instagram,
how do you guys sort of detect that stuff as it's starting to take shape?
>> Today, a lot of the discovery that happens on Instagram,
I think if you ask somebody, how do you find new things?
Often, it'll be some variation of like, the certain serendipitous quality, right?
Where people are just like, I don't really know, or I saw this thing and
then I clicked on this other thing, and then, I sort of fell down the rabbit hole.
And I think we sort of view the explore tab like that.
