How To Shoot An Impossible Shot - Duration: 1:22.
Hello, I'm Brandon with Select Billiards and today I'm going to show you a quick, easy
way to shoot The Impossible Shot.
Right over here, I have an object ball locked up against the rail right here on the corner
of it.
So it's impossible to make this ball in this side pocket.
There's no way to cut it in.
If we were to cut it here, it's just gonna go right past it.
You can see it's locked on the rail.
No way to get it in the side pocket.
There actually is a way to get it into the side pocket.
You just have to compress the rail.
So I'm gonna show you: All I have to do is hit it head on and hit it firm.
That's the only trick there is.
So I'm trying to cut it in any direction.
I just shoot it through the rail.
I hit it so hard that that rail compresses in, and the ball goes right by it.
I'm Brandon with Select Billiards, and that's my tip for the day.

Kako si izzi pripravi onopljin čaj 💚 how I make hemp canna tea - Duration: 4:30.
Today the izzi will show you how to make tea
here we will pour water
so I hope as soon as possible boil
so
here I am prepared industrial hemp
from which I work tea
these are mostly residues when I do CBD and purified material
so I give it a little more
and, of course, coconut oil
that I give in to get a little cbd
a little more and the water will boil
so
lets prepare
it does not have to be exaggerated, I take it
I take a little teaspoon of coconut oil
I make a mess of it
but I'm used to it
that's enough not to exaggerate
water is boiled
let's get this inside
do not put the cannabis in boiling water or cook it
I wait for the water to cool slightly to about 90 degrees
and give hemp
this time I will not wait for the water to cool
so
coconut oil has melted, and now we can add cannabis
I give about 2 grams
so
and mix a little
and leave, some leave 3 minutes, which I think is not enough
I say 7 minutes minimum, and I leave it for 10 minutes
sometimes more
again we hear when I tea Filter to see what color it comes in and this for now
we are back after 10 minutes, our tea is made
it only needs to be preceded, show with the camera to see what color it is
that is yellowish
there is a bit of CBD
so
now for the taste, I add tea to half a lemon and 1 tablespoon of honey
and you give as you like
That's it, so I make cannabis tea, stay green in your heart, peace

HOW BIG PHARMA SUPPRESSES VACCINE SAFETY CONCERNS TO PROTECT FIN - Duration: 11:24.
HOW BIG PHARMA SUPPRESSES VACCINE SAFETY CONCERNS TO PROTECT FINANCIAL INTERESTS
In Part One of this analysis, we described how two highly biased non-profitsthe American
Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Immunization Action Coalition (IAC)have been attacking
World Mercury Project and its Chairman, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for daring to counter false
claims about vaccine safety.
Yet the AAP, IAC and other non-profits such as Every Child by Two (ECBT) are among the
leading actors propagating misleading assertions about vaccine safety.
All three also are actively lobbying legislators to effectively jettison informed consent in
favor of mandatory vaccines.
(In Part One, we also discussed two vaccine advocacy coalitions: the 317 Coalition and
the Adult Vaccine Access Coalition.)
In Part Two, we take a closer look at these three particular non-profits (AAP, IAC and
ECBT), which were the focus of a trenchant investigation published in The BMJ in November
2017.
The BMJ is an international peer-reviewed medical journal that takes pride in the dictum
that knowledge for healthcare professionals and patients should be independent and unbiased
[emphasis added].
The articles author is Peter Doshi, BMJassociate editor, who takes this statement to heart
by dissecting the funding sources and activities of three vaccine advocacy organizations and
asking whether they are sufficiently independent.
Follow the money Vaccine advocacy organizations like to pass
themselves off as credible and independent sources of information.
However, as Doshi immediately points out, the three dominant players (AAP, IAC and ECBT)
all receive corporate funding from vaccine manufacturers as well as significant government
funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
AAP is also intertwined with CDC through AAPs representation on the CDC-based Advisory Committee
on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the influential committee that meets several times annually
to formulate childhood and adult vaccine schedule recommendations.
The light that Doshi shines on the vaccine advocacy organizations intentionally opaque
finances is one of the articles most significant contributions.
Doshi shows that, over the past decade, CDC has been a steady funder of all three
non-profits.
AAP has received roughly $20 million from CDC since 2009, over a third of which ($7
million) was explicitly vaccine-related.
The IAC received over $2 million in CDC vaccine-related funding over the same time frame, and a third
of ECBTs annual contributions comes from CDC.
By painstakingly ferreting out and perusing various online and print sources, Doshi confirmed
that all three organizations receive financial support from vaccine manufacturers, but he
could only obtain spotty information about amounts, even after contacting the organizations
directly.
(ECBT, for example, refused outright to answer The BMJs queries about how much
it receives from vaccine manufacturers.) Doshi also was not able to determine what
strings, if any, come attached to the funding. The table below summarizes Doshis main
findings related to vaccine manufacturer funding for the three vaccine advocacy organizations.
Organization Source of Information Type/Amount of Vaccine Manufacturer Funding
AAP Website and 2016 annual giving report Corporate donors: Merck, Pfizer, Sanofi
Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline, MedImmune, Seqirus At least $1 million given by Merck and Pfizer
IAC Website and 2016 tax filings Supporters and partners: AstraZeneca,
GlaxoSmithKline, Merck Sharp and Dohme, Pfizer, Sanofi Pasteur, Seqirus
$1.3 million in non-governmental contributions in fiscal year 2016
ECBT Website, Tax filings Funding: Merck, Pfizer, Sanofi Pasteur
Roughly 73% of 2015 revenue ($800,000 of $1.1 million) from non-governmental sources
Conflicts of interestor worse?
Non-profits, regardless of their funding sources, have limits on the amounts they can spend
on lobbying without losing their tax-exempt status.
Nonetheless, as Doshi describes, the three vaccine organizations are not shy about engaging
in major lobbying initiatives:
In 2015, both ECBT and the AAP actively (and successfully) lobbied in favor of Californias
SB277, a bill that removed the states personal belief exemption and made childrens vaccination
mandatory for school attendance.
Doshi notes that in response to the bills passage, ECBT wrote to Californias governor
that it was elated at the decision.
The IAC keeps tabs on vaccine mandates in every state.
In July 2017, the AAP published its state advocacy policy, which recommends elimination
of all state laws permitting nonmedical exemptions to school entry immunization requirements.
In February 2017, ECBT launched an active campaign to lobby Congress to ensure that
the funding for vaccine programs that is currently allocated through the Prevention and Public
Health Fund is maintained. In April 2017, all three organizations collaborated
in the IAC webinar entitled Vaccines and the New Administration (described in Part
One), which clearly includes lobbying materials for Congress.
In 2014, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) issued a report on the extent to which
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) grant-making agencies monitor grantees
compliance with federal prohibitions on the use of grant funds for lobbying activities.
The reports overall conclusion was that although the sampled grantees were aware of
the lobbying prohibitions, limited methods exist to identify noncompliance within
the HHSs 13 awarding agencies, which include CDC.
In other words, the CDC is unlikely to know whether its grantees are misapplying some
of their CDC funds toward lobbying activities.
In the OIG survey and report, one of the respondents (a Chief Grant Management Officer) admitted
that A whistleblower or media contact would be the primary source of identifying a possible
violation.
Doshi reminds readers that US federal law prohibits the use of CDC award money for lobbying,
a prohibition that includes grass roots lobbying efforts by award recipients that
are directed at inducing members of the public to contact their elected representatives to
urge support of, or opposition to, proposed or pending legislation. It is not possible
to determine from the existing evidence whether the CDCs relationship with AAP, IAC and
ECBT crosses a [legal] line. However, it is clear that when these budget-conscious
non-profits receive grant money from CDC, those grants free up other monies for lobbying
purposes.
These groups are so strongly pro-vaccination that the public is getting a one-sided message
that all vaccines are created equalregardless of the circumstances.
In addition, Doshi makes it clear that the three organizations are incapable of critically
appraising the CDCs vaccine recommendations.
A conflict of interest specialist interviewed by Doshi stated, These groups are so strongly
pro-vaccination that the public is getting a one-sided message that all vaccines are
created equalregardless of the circumstances.
Reality is a little different. A watchdog journalist told Doshi that the three vaccine
organizations are certainly not financially independent, and it would appear they are
also not philosophically and intellectually independent, which is just as importantif
not more so.
Chinks in the safety narrative The financial and other information uncovered
by Doshi indicates that AAP, IAC and ECBT are key players in a well-funded and highly
orchestrated campaign to drown out any and all dissenting voices on the topic of vaccine
safety.
Thus, the growing number of individuals, families, organizations and even countries expressing
declining confidence in vaccine safety remains a thorn in their side.
Moreover, the vaccine advocacy organizations cannot suppress the fact that the Vaccine
Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)actually touted by the IAC as the nations frontline
vaccine safety surveillance systemrepresents the tip of the vaccine injury iceberg, capturing
as little as 1% of vaccine-related adverse events.
Even with vast underreporting, the U.S. governments Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid
out $3.7 billion dollars since 1988 to vaccine-injured individuals who have managed to prove (against
great odds) their injury claims.
In 2011, Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg perhaps had these
billions of dollars of vaccine injury payments in mind when they wrote a dissenting opinion
to a Court decision (Bruesewitz v. Wyeth LLC, 562 U.S. 223) pertaining to the 1986 National
Childhood Vaccine Injury Act that created the compensation program.
In their dissent, the two Justices stated,
The majoritys decision leaves a regulatory vacuum in which no oneneither the FDA nor
any other federal agency, nor state and federal juriesensures that vaccine manufacturers
adequately take account of scientific and technological advancements.
The Justices further noted,
Manufacturers, given the lack of robust competition in the vaccine market, will often
have little or no incentive to improve the designs of vaccines that are already generating
significant profit margins.
The Justices prescient comments have only become more relevant in the years since the
2011 opinion.
The time to open up vaccine safety to real scientific scrutiny and unbiased debate is
now.
The time to open up vaccine safety to real scientific scrutiny and unbiased debate is

How To Succeed At A Job Interview - Duration: 2:29.
I think the starting point is to remember that the interview is different
than the application process. A lot of people put so much effort into applying
getting the perfect CV resume, having all of the boxes ticked on the application, but
the goal of the CV and the resume is to get the interview, and the interview
itself is a completely different screening or assessment process so the
individual really needs to plan for both as different steps in the process. It is
a competitive market for jobs and especially in this region where there's
such a young demographic, it's essential that the candidate stand out and be
unique, and part of being unique is to keep treating each and every application that
they apply for, each and every organization, as a special, unique
opportunity to earn a job, and that requires research. You need to research
the organization, you need to research the person you're going to be
interviewing with, and you need to plan and anticipate the questions you're
going to be asked in an interview, and 99% of people do not do what I just
described to you. If you're the 1% who does that, you already have an advantage
over that other group. The standard questions you should be prepared to
answer are: "Why do you want to work here?" You know, that's pretty straightforward
you're here for an interview, why are you here for an interview? And don't play
games with your answers. You'll get advice from people that say "never say you have
any weaknesses," but that's not why the question's being asked. The question's
being asked to see if you have a good sense of your own professional and
personal development: What are the things that you're trying to improve? And if you
say things like, "Oh, my weakness is I'm a perfectionist," or "I tend to
work too much," that really comes across as condescending and not the best answer
to those types of questions. Prepare questions that you would want to ask the
interviewer about the organization. I think one thing that candidates forget
is you are interviewing the organization. Every good recruiter, once they've
interviewed you, if not before the interview, are going to go online and see
your social media profile. Manage your social media profile. It's time to grow
up and be more professional into what you present.

Blake Tries Clips! | How To Ride Your MTB With Clipless Pedals - Duration: 11:47.
(laughing)
- That's fresh ay, right?
- It certainly is.
- This will tighten up!
- I wouldn't spend too much time
tightening those up, mate.
You know what they are?
- No way, I ...
How, no, no! - Yeah (claps hands).
- Look at, it's flippin' icy; I'm not ...
- You're a great rider, clearly a flat pedal rider ...
- Forever, yeah.
- Today we're going to change things up a little.
- Why, today's not the day.
- Yeah it is.
- No, it's so icy!
- Makes it ideal; you're not going to get it wrong.
- No, I don't even know how to set them up
so I can't wear them.
- Yeah you can; let's get into this.
(light dubstep music)
So the flats versus clips is an argument
that often comes up in mountain biking.
Now, as much as I like riding flat pedals,
I've pretty much ridden clips from the beginning,
and I absolutely love the way you can be
pretty light and agile on the bike,
but I don't rely on them for that,
so I can switch to flats when I want.
Blake however, he's always been a flat pedal rider,
and whilst that does suit Blake's style,
I'm actually convinced by getting him clipped in
we're going to make him faster and a smoother rider.
So let's get him on clips.
- Clipless pedals. - Yeah.
- These have got no clips, so these are,
why are they called "clipless pedals"?
- Alright so this is a commonly misunderstood thing, right?
Yeah so flat pedals technically
could be called clipless pedals,
because there is no clip mechanism on them.
But they get his name from these little fellows here.
- Oh wow look at them contraptions.
- So, way back in the day you would learn to ride
on flat pedals, and then you would progress
to toeclips and straps.
So this a flat pedal with a plastic toeclip,
and you've got a nylon strap that's adjustable.
So you put your foot in there and it holds your foot
on there.
So the same concept, you can pull up on the pedals ...
- Okay, yeah.
- And it stops your feet coming off on rough terrain.
They're pretty gnarly to ride and obviously pretty old,
these days.
- Yeah, they look like they belong in a museum.
- I thought it's only fair that you did
exactly what I did growing up ...
- And what, put them on my bike?
- Yeah, so let's try you out on
a pair of toeclips and straps first.
And then you'll really understand
what commitment is on a bike.
Alright, pedal number one (Blake groans).
You won't be needing that.
- Well you don't have--
- These are old school, mate.
- What the hell is this thing?
- That's a pedal spanner.
(Blake sighs.)
- They don't even fit on my bike.
They fit.
- Alright, so you're going to pedal off like this,
and then you sort of flip the pedal back
to slide your foot in.
- Okay.
- You have to wiggle it a bit obviously
because the pedal's got a bit of grip on it.
- Something to take note of is the fact the engagement here,
I've left the loop open.
- Okay.
- So you can put in, and then when your foot is in there,
you can just tighten it up manually.
Go and ride up the trail, have a bit of a loop,
and then try them tight.
- Yeah.
- And then we want to see decent track stands.
- Track stands?
- Yeah, you can do a track stand in your sleep, right?
- Yeah.
- So it should be no different with those on.
- Right, okay.
- I wouldn't start off like that;
I would start off on the flat side,
flip them over as you're riding off.
- Really? - Yeah.
Just until you're used to them.
- Okay.
- Good luck with that one.
(Blake sighs).
- Oh, this is--
(videotape squeaks)
- So the idea today is not for Blake
to just ride toeclips all day,
it is just to get an idea of how terrifying it used to be.
What do you make of them?
- They're not bad. (laughing)
- See that is something that used to happen quite a lot.
And that is why clipless pedals are so good,
because they're actually really safe.
So people think that when you're attached to the bike,
it's dangerous. - Yeah.
- But you're not, because your natural way
of getting off the pedals is to the side.
- That's what I tried!
- So those, you've got to take your feet out backwards.
- Yeah! (laughing)
- So I think just for a bit of fun,
while you're still in there, let's see you do
a couple of track stands.
Alright, you good? - Not really.
(wheels crunching)
Oh I can't get my foot up then.
Oh! (laughing)
Literally you have to pull straight up.
- So obviously they're not good for mountain biking,
but that is pretty much what I grew up riding, off road.
Right, so let's get you on proper clips ...
- Please, these are dangerous.
- Because actually they're incredible; they're so good.
And they're only going to accentuate your riding.
So the next significant thing is the fact
that you're riding in a dedicated cycling shoe,
so flat pedal shoes are focused
on being grippy over efficient.
Now what I mean by that is, a flat pedal shoe
is always going to slightly flex on the pedal,
so it helps give you that grip
but you are losing pedalling power.
The clipless shoe, they are so stiff this way,
but they can have toe flex for walking off the bike.
So when you're connected to those pedals,
all of that power through your legs is driving
straight into the transmission and into your back wheel.
It's a really efficient way of riding.
Okay, so those Avantis are obviously really popular
when you're riding in rough conditions,
because your foot is not going to bounce around
which also means you're not going to
hold on to the bike as tight with your hands,
and you can place the bike quite well on the trail
without having to use a lot of effort.
But there are a few disadvantages
with using clipless pedals.
And the first one is, the commitment to it basically.
You've got to commit in whatever you're riding;
if you're riding something rough, loose, wet,
a lot of time on flat pedals it almost doesn't matter
until something happens, like your wheel slips,
because you can just stick your foot out.
You've got to kind of pre-plan
a little bit with clipless pedals,
so you've got to be thinking down the trail a bit
about what the bike is doing.
The second one is that they can encourage bad habits.
And what I mean by that is, if you're really good
at bunny hopping with flat pedals,
like the correct way of bunny hopping,
when you get on clips you can get lazy
and just use the clips to help you dance around on the bike.
Don't let that happen; it is important
to be able to ride both sets of pedals.
So, making sure you've got your cleats
set up right in the first place is really important,
in not only getting the best out of your pedals,
but to avoid knee injuries.
Now this sort of thing does make
more of a difference on road bikes,
where you're in the same position for hour after hour,
or if you're using a pedal that's not got much float.
And float is the amount of movement you have
before you can clip out.
Now these particular ones have 15 or 20 degrees,
so it's quite a lot so you've got
a lot of movement to play with.
And a really good way of finding out
if you need to set your cleats up facing a certain angle,
is by dangling your legs and just seeing
what sort of natural angle your feet are at,
and then aiming your cleats straight from there.
So, Blake's right foot, I'm guessing,
from an injury in the past?
Leaning slightly into the-- - Yeah it broke.
- Whereas your left foot looks fairly straight forwards.
- Yep.
- So we're just going to take that into account
with the cleats.
And the other thing is, where you put your cleats
fore and aft in the cleat slot.
Now, the most efficient one for pedalling
is directly under the ball of your foot,
so that is this part of your foot here.
And on Blake, roughly where this little blue mark is
on his flat pedal shoes there.
Now the reason for that is because
it's the best point for power transfer
and it's also a really efficient position
for using your calf muscle.
But seeing as he rides a lot of flat pedals,
he tends to run his feet a little bit
further forwards on the pedal,
so the cleat, we're actually going to run it
a little bit further back to simulate
that feeling of the flat pedal,
give it a good base position ...
- A little bit behind the ball, I reckon.
- Yeah and then we'll take it from there.
But it's always good to have a sort of a ballpark setting,
get your cleats on; I recommend using
a tiny bit of thread lock because they do rattle loose,
and it also stops the threads corroding.
(light dubstep music)
(ice crackling) (Blake grunting)
- Oh I can get more power.
Wow, oh.
Alright so the key fact that I've found using clips is,
when I tag a root just like I did there,
on flats my foot would've bounced off,
I would've lost all my motion,
I would have lost all my momentum and all that.
I would have had to have put a foot down.
But being clipped in it kind of just bumped me
and I can carry on through, plus,
what also I found out, which is cool,
is when I'm climbing, and there's a bit of rooty section
like I did just across there, is
I can lift up my wheel, lift up my rear with my feet
but still keeping the power going
so I can get a good climb on.
I rode this way slower than I was if I was on flats.
Flats, I'd kind of want to keep my momentum going
because my feet's going to be bouncing around,
and if if I do tag I'm going to lose all that momentum.
(crashing musical tone sounds)
Alright, I'm pretty good at jumping bikes,
but I've never jumped clipped into a bike.
So there's a few little tables here
that I'm going to test my skills ...
(laughing)
Alright, that's a bit of surprise!
Ooh!
That table there, I like to move the bike around
so I kind of little did a scrub,
and my feet do move on the pedals.
And my outside foot was like just,
I thought it was unclipped and I thought,
"Oh no here we go; I hate clips now."
But it didn't unclip and because Doddy was saying about
the 15 degree or 15% movement in the cleat on your feet,
kind of compensated for that and it didn't unclip,
so I'm like, I'm pretty surprised.
(wheels clacking loudly)
Oh wow, alright that bit there,
using the clips I can manipulate the rear end
by putting it wherever I damn well please.
Because this section here, I'm like,
I wanted to go there, but then I wanted to go there quicker,
so I can leave my feet, instead of concentrating on hooking,
like you would if you were on flats, hooking the pedals
to push the bike to where you want,
plus your feet are going to move as well
when you're hooking, with these you're clipped obviously,
and you can just go, "No, there, there,
"right I'm going to lift the back end there,"
and you can push it where you want,
especially like there, and then I wanted to go
on the high line there.
And I can just like, lift it up, push it.
It's way, it's different.
It's like a technique that I'm gradually learning.
Very quickly really.
It's crazy how much clips work.
- So we've got Blake set up on a pair of
Crank Brothers clips earlier on today.
He's been blasting around the woods all day,
and actually I'm quite surprised; I think he might like it,
but we'll have to ask him a couple of questions
to see how he's been getting on.
(wheels rolling)
Oh, that was so good, there!
(Doddy laughs)
Oh!
- So you've obviously still got a few things to master.
You're not going to get this overnight.
- Oh, no way.
- What did you reckon then, how've you been getting on?
- That was really good fun; it's totally different
because I've never ridden clip pedals,
but using the clips to like get more power down,
like, you're pushing but you're pulling as well,
which is pretty cool, and then on the rough stuff
you can like, lift up the back wheel at slow speeds ...
- And place it on the trail? - Place it on the trail.
I think I'm going to use it; I think I'm going to try it.
But if I was to do a race, like the Mega Avalanche,
I don't know, because I want my feet to be everywhere.
- Yeah but do you know what, first half fair enough,
second half, you need the horsepower.
- True.
- It gets tiring down there. - That is true.
- But hey, it just goes to show you
that flats and clips are both great things, and
I'm really glad that you're going to start riding them ...
- Yeah, I think I am.
- Because I think being able to ride both
is really good for everyone. - Yeah, yeah.

How to buy a business in the U.S.?
What should you do from a legal perspective?
That's what you'll discover in this video.
Hi, I'm Dmytro of Biryuk Law Firm in New York.
When you open your business, you normally have two options: (i) to start a new business
or (ii) to buy an existing business.
You should certainly weigh their pros and cons.
The second option may, for example, be easier and more efficient.
Acquiring a business necessitates certain legal actions.
They, for example, include:
1. Letter of intent, which is a declaration between the seller and the buyer on their prospective deal;
2. Sale-and-purchase agreement (either a share deal or an asset deal), subject to certain
conditions precedent, reps and warranties, indemnities etc;
3. Legal due diligence, which is a review, analysis, and assessment of legal risks and development of
solutions to them; and
4. Closing, which is an exchange of title for money, with a possible adjustment of the purchase price,
depending on the due diligence results.
As you can see, M&A deals take plenty of legal research, analysis, and writing.
For further details, check out our blog post by the link you see here now.
Take care of your M&A deal!

How to Compost Kitchen and Garden Waste - Duration: 6:47.
Welcome to this episode of Parna Garden on composting
Composting is a biological process in which
microorganisms, including
bacteria and fungi, break down organic matter into simpler substances.
This process produces a nutrient-rich soil amendment for growing plants and trees.
It is nature's way of recycling
biodegradable organic waste.
Although composting process occurs in nature all the time, by human intervention you can speed up this process.
There are four main ingredients required for backyard composting
The first one is carbon or brown materials such as dried leaves and paper.
The second ingredient is nitrogen, also known as greens. You can get this from
vegetable scraps from your kitchen, grass clippings from your backyard or coffee grounds
The third ingredient is water or moisture.
I collect rainwater and use it in my garden.
The fourth ingredient is
oxygen from the air
Autumn leaves that you see here are a great source of carbon or brown materials
You can collect these leaves in paper bags, or trash bags from hardware stores
or even in a used soil bag from your backyard
I have raked the autumn leaves from my yard and made a pile here
I am going to collect them in a used soil bag and
use them to start a fresh batch of compost in a 30 pound metal trash can with a lid
Having a lid on your composter prevents critters such as mice, rats and raccoons from entering the compost
Here is that trashcan I was talking about.
I have drilled holes into this trash can so air can circulate
freely
Here is a pile of
partially decomposed compost in my backyard
I'm going to take a small portion of this compost and
add it to the fresh batch of compost that I'm starting.
The microorganisms in this compost would help to kick-start the composting process
in the fresh batch
So I'm adding a few shovelfuls of the compost here
Next, I'm adding a few handfuls of autumn leaves collected earlier from my backyard
This forms the brown layer or the carbon layer in the compost pile.
Alternating layers of carbon material or the brown material and
nitrogen material or the green material along with few sprinkles of water
speeds up the process of composting.
I'm also adding a few shovelfuls of partially made compost here
Next, I'm adding a layer of vegetable scraps into this mix
This forms the nitrogen layer or the layer of greens in the compost pile
It is perfectly fine if it includes a few paper napkins and dryer lint
Because, eventually the microbes in the compost pile will break them down and turn them into
compost.
Now that we have a layer of
nitrogen, it is
time to add another layer of carbon
by adding these autumn leaves.
Next, I'm spraying a generous amount of water to moisten the layers that we formed in this compost pile
Water is the third essential element for composting?
Next I'm adding a layer of used coffee grounds collected from local Starbucks into this compost pile
Coffee grounds are considered as a good source of nitrogen
And so, here I'm making another layer of nitrogen in the compost pile
If there are large clumps, it's good to separate them, and then add them into the compost pile
I'm adding one final layer of autumn leaves here and spreading them evenly on top of the pile
To moisten the top layers, I'm going to spray them with some more water as you can see here
I have intentionally not filled this container all the way to the top to ensure that there is sufficient
oxygen for the
microorganisms to function
Finally, I'm closing the lid to stop critters from entering the compost pile
The holes you see on the container here should also help in air circulation
This is an open compost pile that I had started few weeks ago
Turning the compost pile using a pitchfork
Helps in circulation of oxygen into the center of the pile
This helps to speed up the composting process
Here is how it looks after about five weeks
As you can see here the organic matter
has partially decomposed and it is in the process of turning into rich dark color
if you dig to the center of the pile you will see more decomposed organic matter.
I will look forward to using finished compost from these compost piles during the growing season of 2018
Thank you for stopping by.

КАК ВЫБРАТЬ ПРОДУКТЫ К ПРАЗДНИЧНОМУ СТОЛУ / HOW TO CHOOSE PRODUCTS FOR THE FESTIVE TABLE - Duration: 16:35.
That comes to an end more One year, we had a
together with you, the channel "Doctor in the neighborhood."
And today, traditionally, on the eve of the winter holidays,
I want to share small tricks that will help
avoid health problems these bright days.
And today we'll talk how to choose a delicious,
and most importantly, safe products for the holiday
table.
Hello my good!
"Previously, people have hunted for food, and now food hunts
the man "- say nutritionists.
To avoid trouble health, you need to learn
their right to choose, and for this you should know
how to check the freshness, the presence of harmful
components, as well as to comply with retention rules.
How to choose a quality meat.
Whatever you buy - beef, veal, pork or lamb,
have common characteristics, which is easy to understand,
a fresh product.
First of all, you need to pay attention to the color of both the
meat and fat.
For the meat of young animals characteristic pink color,
"Old" is usually dark red.
From the latter is unlikely to succeed tender and juicy dish.
Body fat in quality the product must be pure white.
What makes it more yellow and darker, the older the animal, the
tougher it will dish after cooking.
To check freshness the selected piece of the flesh
press your finger.
On pit fresh meat, which It appears after pressing,
quickly disappears.
Bird also be selected appearance.
Skin fresh and healthy poultry has the color of the
creamy white to yellow, it is smooth, moist, without
bruises and cuts.
The color depends on the diet and rocks and does not affect the
mouthfeel.
"Correct," the ends of bones There are only a pinkish-white.
If the bird is fresh, the fovea by pressing a finger
the flesh is quickly restored.
As well as in meat, age Birds can be determined
of fat bloom.
Dark yellow indicates that old hen.
The young bird is fat cream.
Important, and the timing of product.
Chilled carcass must be stored no more than 5 days.
Bird cut into pieces, - even less.
One of the most popular products used
for cooking for festive table
- birds' eggs.
They can be a source of very dangerous disease - Salmonellosis.
So when buying eggs we must look at both.
You can not buy eggs cracks in the shell:
through them during transport and a store inside the can
to get an infection.
To ensure maximum security, dirt and stubborn chicken
Litter on the shell carefully rinse once bring
Eggs home.
Do not forget to carefully wash your hands, even if you
just touch this product.
To determine the freshness of eggs There are several ways.
If you hear when shaken "Squishing" sounds mean,
airbag has a large and protein became watery.
This is a clear sign that the egg is not very fresh.
You can also break it down on a plate.
Fresh eggs have a high convex yolk, the retaining ring
of protein.
If the yolk is flat and the protein watery and flows,
the product begins to lose freshness and it should be in the near future
the time consumed in cooking.
The third way - to lower egg in a tall glass
water.
Very fresh eggs will to the bottom.
Eggs a week ago blunt end will be located
up.
If the egg floats on surface of the water, he does not
less than 3 weeks.
Its air chamber so big thing keeping
"Shell" afloat.
Finally, a dubious egg You can enlighten.
Fresh raw eggs skip shine.
And whatever they turned, the yolk will always be
exactly in the center.
yolk "wanders" In the old eggs.
By the way, the refrigerator door special cells
not the best place for egg storage.
Better without removing from the packaging, hide the eggs a little deeper,
where the temperature is lower.
A better place the eggs blunt ends up, so
like there is air camera.
Store eggs recommended apart from the strong-smelling
products and raw meat.
On the side wall of the refrigerator lay eggs, which
It planned to use In the next few days.
Red fish.
Keep red fish laid GOST at minus
temperature, but more often Just put it stores
shelves chilled products - where its habitual
seek and buyers.
When purchasing a note on the fat content of the fish - if
pieces of shiny, means We kept them at zero
temperature, due to which of them began to stand out
excess fat.
Check the reliability of the manufacturer Quality can be small
pieces that are reporting to the main cutting.
This is done in order to to bring the weight to the right
and fraud is not.
But they should be of a the same quality as all the fish
in the package: if the weight of a scolding due to scraps of skin
and bones, then the manufacturer not too scrupulous and
I could try to save on something else in the process
production or during transportation.
Salt - the main natural a preservative in the manufacture of
preserves red fish.
If its amount insufficient (for example,
in packages with malosolonoy fish), manufacturers will
to compensate for this additional preservatives.
So those who disliked product "chemistry", choose
You need a medium- or krepkosolenuyu fish.
Another fish, modest, which nevertheless always
It is on the table or in a salad just as a snack,
- salted herring.
When you select a package, pay attention to the appearance
Content: pieces of fish must be clean, whole,
maintain a good weight and not to fall apart.
In addition, herring should be usual steel-gray
color: the presence of mucus says that the fish could start
deteriorate, and notorious "Rust" on herring formed,
if the product is stale and fish oil started to oxidize.
Eat it, as a whole, is still possible, however, useful for the organism
it can not be called, in addition, it will affect the taste
quality.
Another indicator, the fish may be tainted,
- frothed brine or a large number of
seasonings.
In this case, most likely, herring processed
It is not very fresh and seasoned with spices to drown
taste and smell of stale fish.
Standard shelf life for salted herring - about
20 - 60 days.
So if a manufacturer It offers a "long-playing"
herring, it means fish processor I prepared using
preservatives.
Generally speaking, about any fresh fish, the eyes
she should be a bright, clean and more prominent,
belly - flat.
Submerged in a container fresh water fish immediately
It goes to the bottom.
Another indicator of freshness: the speed of extinction
fossa of pressure on fish finger.
In addition, fresh fish the meat is separated with difficulty
from the ribs and spine.
Caviar - ornament and pride New Year's table.
This product, in our time, quite an expensive, the
offensive will err with his choice.
To avoid this, when buying you should pay
attention to the appearance caviar - should not be in the bank
be plenty of fluids, eggs must retain its shape,
and their weight - be fairly dense and not slip on
extra side tank rollover.
The large number of juice can say,
that the eggs were frozen, to deliver to the place
processing.
Furthermore, in this case you overpay for the weight of the "water."
If you buy caviar in a sealed container and can not
to evaluate its appearance, look at the data
Manufacturer.
It is believed that the best Caviar - the one that was
made in the months of spawning.
Pink and chum salmon typically spawn in July, August and September.
Sockeye - in May-July.
Preference is to give products brought
traditional "fish" regions - Kamchatka and
Sakhalin.
We determine the quality of milk products.
Particular attention is worth devote shelf life.
The higher it is, the more the likelihood that you
buying a product manufactured not from natural ingredients.
For example, yogurt useful those whose shelf life
from 3-4 days to 3-4 weeks.
If it is more than a month, it yogurt is not as alive
beneficial bacteria in it no.
Sour cream should be a homogeneous mass
smooth white without sour smell, watery
bundles and hard lumps.
If the surface of sour cream there is a liquid, it means that the technology
preparation has been broken.
Cheese is often sold in already sliced, labeled
shopping label.
Learn about the real date production in this case
impossible.
So this product is better not buy sliced and
one piece.
Pre-need to carefully examine it: it
there should be no traces of mold and moisture, and the color and consistency
should be the same along the entire depth of the cut.
Even big-name supermarkets better to buy a piece of cheese,
rather than cutting.
Sometimes the product is forced allowed under the knife, trying to
hide rotten or dried up the edges.
And again, if the envelope of cheese unnatural - paraffin
or polyethylene film, - See that was not
cracks and cuts: through They can be fed with the product
dangerous microorganisms.
Cheese wisdom: the cheaper the cheese, the more likely
you bought margarine with leaven.
Already we bought a piece of cheese You do not understand that before
you?
Leave a slice of cheese on plate, at room
temperature of approximately 2 hours.
On cheese with palm oil perform water drops
- animal is "Not friends" with the plant.
If the palm is not involved product preparation
- cheese like oplavitsya, its surface be oily,
but with no drops.
With regard to butter oil, then it should not
be a drop of vegetable fat.
The present butter It is made only from the cream.
Best of all useful properties stored in a package
foil.
At room temperature quality butter
oil, becoming softer, does not lose its shape when
This act on his cut tiny droplets - in fact
the fat melts in the heat.
"Pig" may slip vegetables and fruit.
After all, when grown greenhouse, to accelerate
growth and maturation of the fruit, used shock doses
fertilizers.
With regard to the nitrates, they accumulate in vegetables
in certain places, that when cooking cut
or discarded.
The main repository of nitrates - peel.
The more nitrate, the it is thicker and coarser.
Do cucumbers and zucchini, except peel, nitrates accumulate
and stalk.
In cucumber can navigate on the spikes.
If they are soft and thin, fertilizers not addicted
and can restrict removing the stalk.
Qualitative cucumbers solid and elastic, evenly colored,
with light and without stem dark spots on the tips.
In tomato and pepper More in the "vicinity" of all nitrates
peduncle.
Determine the "nitrate" tomato can and mind
inside: a cluster of harmful agents say white flesh
and white streaks.
If this vegetable and inside and outside the bright red,
then most likely, the level of nitrates is not exceeded.
In cabbage nitrates focused in the upper leaves and cobs.
Buying it, feel head - it should be firm,
and the base sheet at cobs should not be thick.
In any case, the upper leaves and cobs when
cooking should be discarded.
At the green onions and greens most of the nitrate - roots.
In onion head should be solid, husks
- dry, golden color without spots.
Potato harmful substances usually targeted by the peel,
we always cut off.
If we cook potatoes in the "uniform", the majority
part of them goes into the broth.
When buying bulbs, please attention to their color.
If there are green spots, therefore, they have long lain
in the light, and because of improper storage was formed
a poisonous substance - solanine.
Beznitratny carrots always orange, without green
and yellow specks.
Moreover, large roots usually tastes fine,
nutrients in them It is also greater.
Ideally, it is desirable to buy not imported, but grown
near Mother gifts nature.
Imported vegetables and fruits often collect unripe
and "ripen" them artificially.
apple maturity can be determined, adding to cut several
drops of iodine solution.
Immature containing a lot of starch, immediately will be painted
blue.
If apple peel adhesive and slippery, and when you wash
hands on them is fat substance means fruit
that it is not corrupted during transportation, treated
paraffin or wax.
Paraffin is not washed off with water, therefore, it is necessary to cut off the peel.
No matter how we tried to choose fruits and vegetables fresher
and tastier, environmentally clean them, you can call
a stretch.
As well at home you can reduce the amount of
of harmful substances?
If in doubt as bought fruit and vegetables
you can try to reduce in which the level of
possible nitrate.
Add to cold water lemon juice or a little
sea salt and soak in this solution for 20 minutes
vegetables and fruits.
In addition, to secure fruit can brew.
During this process, from 40 to 85% of chemicals
in products, It goes into the water.
Her once the vegetables are ready, it is necessary
drain.
During frying eliminated only 10-15% of harmful substances.
However, no heat treatment does not relieve
the need to be sure wash vegetables and fruits like
before cooking, and before eating raw.
Well, in the end of today conversation I can not ignore
side of the main gastronomic clip New Year's table,
demanded the preparation like snacks, and hot,
- mayonnaise.
To him these days are warming even those who in the course of the year
He is trying to live a healthy Lifestyle.
Watch it here first all you need to fatness
- and remember, what, in fact, the role of the sauce should
Play menu.
If the plans of baking, then take the product better
thicker.
But suitable for salads and less dense (and, possibly,
less fatty) options.
By the way, the recent inspection "Roskachestva" showed
a sufficiently high level mayonnaise different brands.
However, always look on etiquette and check
time of manufacture, life Shelf.
Most mayonnaise today - a fairly short
expiration dates are often not more than a month.
So, they kept We should be on the cooling shelves
in stores and in the refrigerator - at home.
To buy the "right" and safe products,
We need to firmly grasp a few simple rules and always
be guided by them.
It is best to go for provisions in the large
shops and supermarkets, small shops and kiosks
- not the best place for shopping food.
It is dangerous to buy meat, fruits, vegetables, milk from
individuals selling outside the special places (in
yards, roadsides etc.).
At the recommended market buy only those products,
which are hand produced.
These are honey, pickles, jams.
It must be remembered that the market control product quality
not as strict as in store, and responsibility
for it below.
Profitable victual in the morning - this time it
fresh.
Before going to the store It is recommended
a detailed list and go Food on a full
stomach.

Ingredients:
1 apple 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
powder).
5 to 2 liters of boiled water.

Apples:
They are packed with nutrients that may help you lose weight.
First of all, the polyphenols in apples help slow down the digestion of carbs, and break
them down into simple sugars, which puts less sugar load in the blood stream.
The polyphenols also reduce the absorption of glucose and stimulate the pancreas to produce
insulin, resulting in the regulation of blood sugar.
They are low in calories with only 65 per cup and high in dietary fiber, with 3g per
cup (12% of the recommended daily value).
Cinnamon:
It is becoming more and more evident that cinnamon stabilizes blood sugar levels and
increases the metabolism of glucose.

it.
Cinnamon improves insulin function.
