- Hey guys, it's Marissa and today I'm gonna be copying
Maddie Ziegler's Instagram photos.
So many people have said that I look like
Maddie Ziegler, but I kinda don't think so,
but I can see where you guys are coming from,
the brown hair, blue eyes, that kinda vibe.
Anyways, I thought this would be fun
to recreate some of her looks on Instagram.

And now, let's just get right into the video.
Okay, for the first photo I'm recreating
the one where she's wearing the Brandy Melville honey shirt
and she has her hair in a side braid
with pretty flowers in it.
So I thought it would be fun because
my hair's pretty thick, but it's probably not
gonna be as long as hers, but I think
it'll still look really cute with
all the flowers and the yellow shirt.
I don't have the exact shirt though so,
gotta improvise a little bit, but I'll still look good.
My friend here, her name is Annie.
- Hi.
- She's one of my really good friends,
and she's here to take the pictures.
So yeah, let's just get started.
Alright guys we are at the first location,
it is just in my back yard.
It was perfect because there's a window right here,
and she's standing right in front of the window.
And then with the flowers, Annie went
and picked out some pink, yellow and red flowers-ish.
- Basically, all the flower that she has.
- Yeah, they're really similar, so that's good.
She also has two little wrist bands, right here
a blue one and a black one,
so I got that ya know, on point.
Got my shorts and my shirt, so let's take the picture.
Now she's gonna put the flowers in my hair
because I obviously can't see, so.
- They won't be like, the exact same flowers,
but, they're the same color. - We tried our best.
(soft music)
Oh yeah, and like the colors of the window
are a little different, like the contrast
between the rim of the window is brown
in hers and our is white, but we might just Photoshop
or leave it however it turns out best.
(deep, bassy music)
- Put your elbow down a tiniest little bit.
Slide your hand a little.
- Guys it's kinda weird just standing here like a statue.
(light music)
Okay guys, so we just finished up,
I think we got the photo.
Annie probably adjusted my elbow like 50 times,
but we got it, I think it turned out really good,
Annie was spot on like, putting the flowers in my hair
and adjusting my body like wow!
You got it girl, I was like you ...
- Um, we'll see. - We'll see. Yeah.
- We'll see how the photos turn out.
- So here's Maddie's photo compared to Marissa's photo.
I think they turned out super good
and lets move on to the next one.
Okay guys, so it is photo number two time
and we are copying the one where Maddie
is in like, the background of white flowers
but we obviously have purple flowers,
so we're gonna try and Photoshop them to white
and then her shirt says "Girls",
but I didn't have that shirt, couldn't really find it.
So it says "Hey" but we could possible Photoshop,
but we can't rely on that, but anyways.
I'm gonna get arranged for the photo,
gonna take it, see how it turns out.
Let's do it.
She has her hair like, to one side.
My hair's kinda crimpy like hers and,
yeah, her elbow's like this, I'm doing a lot of
hip on the elbow, wait elbow on the hip,
hand on the hip. (laughing)
(soft music)
- Marissa! - Wait, wait, wait.
Go. - Alright.
Look, Marissa. (laughing)
- Wait, this is hard. - This is hard.
And the wind's blowing your hair.
(laughing)
- Okay guys, so we just finished taking the photos,
I really don't think I got it very well.
- We tried, we tried.
- Yeah, like Maddie's face is just like,
so looks so cute doing that, she's like
- No the thing is, like ... - Like, side smiling.
- Her teeth are like ... her lips are covering her teeth.
- My teeth kept on showing and then it was like
(funny noise)
- She kept wanting to raise her eyebrows.
- I know I was like.
She just did it, she was like.
My face just does not go like that,
if you know what I mean, like ...
Yeah, no.
Here is my recreation of Maddie's photo.
And by the way guys, we actually both love Maddie,
we've like watched all of Dance Moms.
I really do hope to meet her some day,
but for now, let's just get right on to the next photo.
(upbeat guitar music)
Alright guys, for my last photo
I am doing Maddie's one where she's kinda like,
poofs up her hair with her hands
and she has this shirt with cuffs on it.
I don't have the exact same shirt
so I used this pink pullover with cuffs and then
I have like a Nike windbreaker that I'm using
and Annie came up with this and she was like,
yeah, just put this under so it
has like two different colors.
So, her hands are kinda like poofing up her hair
and she's like big eyes, her mouth's kinda open
so now, let's just go recreate it.
Guys I'm curling my eyelashes right now.
- [Annie] Yeah, yeah yeah.
Yeah! - Oh I had it, dang it.
Alright guys, we just finished taking the picture
and I think after a million takes we got it.
It was really hard to lift up the hair
and make the same shape as her with her mouth,
because like her bottom teeth were showing,
but her top teeth weren't.
Which is kinda difficult to do,
but I think we managed to get it.
So here is a recreation of Maddie's photo.
