Youtube daily but Jan 25 2019

I've long felt the drive to change my life

To do a 180 degrees turn..

My sister also shared this desire

We had left our jobs

And I had left my apartment in Paris

We thought "Let's do it! We have nothing to lose"

"let's find properties

where we could build this eco-community".

It brought us in this region, l'Aude,

because we wanted to live in the South

in the sun.

From an ecological standpoint...

It's a so-called marginalized region

because there are few jobs, little industry

So it's good news

for all people that want to live close to nature,

in an ecological way.

Here, there are few inhabitants

but there is a density of people with dreams

that are ready to implement those - alternative - dreams

that is truly impressive.

The difficult part was to take the first step

Then...there is also a very, very powerful energy here

We felt it physically when we arrived here.

Everything was changing!

I always knew I would change my life

But it happened painfully

because you have to let go of many things

While you're ready to start something else,

You have your environment, your family, your friends

that do not understand you..

So I had to confront this...

I initially was in another group.

I really preferred here the girl's structured approach

because I thought it was useful to create an eco-village

to have something that's coherent

because the prior group

was more into anarchy

everyone does what he/she wants

and I don't think it can work like this.

We were six,

a seventh person,

we were all women, arrived.

We started thinking about a charter, about values..

And we decided that we needed other people

because we were all urbanites...

So we created an association

and a website

And there we got many responses

many, many!

People started arriving,

and that's how we ended up with a group of 15 people.

We always dream of the ideal community

like prince charming...

I grew up in the city

I was projecting myself in a world that did not satisfy me

I had the vision to join eco-places

where we would create autonomy,

collective living

and our relationship with nature

That's what I was deeply missing!

Me and my partner, we decided to act

We started traveling for 15 months

with our donkey, our goat and our dog.

We visited many places and realized

that it was much more difficult

for a couple, or a single person, to build such a place.

I was more inclined to join an already existing project

We quickly discovered this project, here.

It was exactly what we wanted to do

And when we met the people, that they were authentic

And... there is also a heart's choice

where you recognize a family

with whom you can go forth

Then we visited the place

and there...

We already had few doubts,

but when we came to the place

our last doubts flew away...

And then..

You have to start..

These things need to be built,

and we have to risk it.

So now, we're recollecting rocks

in order to create a dam

to retain water.

I deal with things that I know how to do

and that others do not know how to do

So we distribute work like that

based on what each person can do

and then we fill in needs.

I'm really interested in gardening, permaculture

to ultimately create an autonomous place

where we manage our energy, our food.

To have a beautiful place

with animals, in nature.

What we want to build here

is an oasis.

An oasis for now in hopes that it will become the norm later.

The idea is that the place produces wealth

for all those that live here

For that, we need to get to a transition

we need to create things, set them up...we need to sow,

it needs to grow to collect its fruits

We created a (landscape) design

centered on collectivity

Once we have found ourselves individually

we can nurture a collective.

We think that we are at that stage

And from this collective core,

a spiral starts around the site

that links all our different activities.

We all have the same share

but they weren't all released at the same time

Some brought more some less.

Some did not bring anything, one compensating for the other

And those that brought less

are paying a small monthly amount to compensate those that paid more

So we are lucky to be independent from banks until now.

We're setting up new legal structures

because all this requires a frame

for future people that might join in

and also for us.

All issues dealing with survival..

be it food, money, etc,

wake up things.

Old frustrations and fears...

that we all confront differently given our different journeys

Even if we have a framework

that sets our common goal.

We must transcend all that.

and of course we had this challenge

we had to have many meetings

to share our aspirations and fears

Relational issues it is not only about eco-villages

Evidently, it's a bit multiplied here

and that's why 90% of ecovillages fail.

So we'll see what the future holds.

We are not very old... we haven't even closed a year

but we chose to educate ourselves.

It's not over, it's a lot of work

We need rules among us..

We would have liked to be enlightened

and that all was harmonized based on our deep intuitions

We are not yet at that level

For me, the inner journey,

our relationship with the sacred,

is completely central.

Then, in terms of spirituality,

we each have our own journeys

There is no dogma in this group.

We are all very much in agreement about

the process for greater awareness, for awakening

Here there is a lot of spirituality

it's necessary in a collective

it's really finding a purity in the heart

which our current society

does not help us find.

Since it's an economically marginal region,

The people that come here

tend to have economic projects that are a bit crazy,

different.

You're not going to be here

to go work for Renault [factory]

So inevitably you find yourself with a lot of people

who think life differently from the big cities,

that do not want to live their lives

in a shitty society...

such as the one we're being promised,

or rather sold.

So if we don't want this and do otherwise, it works.

A way of living like this is possible

We already divided costs by three.

Just by being here, just because we're in nature

and we have gathered.

And yet, we are not even autonomous

The wood will be dry in two years.

For permaculture we just have started the veggie garden

solar panels are not ready.

We are not autonomous at all

And yet we have already divided costs by three

and we live in an incomparable quality of life!

We are in 57 hectares!

In Paris, I lived like most Parisians

living together in small spaces.

Regardless of your situation, with money or not,

whether you have diplomas or not,

old or young...

These don't matter

What matters is your will

and whether you believe that taking action is possible.

A new network is being created,

the past few months,

with people involved

in small alternative initiatives, each on their own,

that decided, it is not necessary to work in their own corner,

that we needed to know each other

To try to work between us without spend money

to exchange services exchange of goods

To get out of the money finally and that's great!

Since it's not a big economy.

If you want to live well with few means

you need to share you need solidarity,

It works very well here!

A lot of people in the Valley were very happy

That a group like ours is managing the place

We now opened it to these types of activities.

Relating to community living,

our relationship with the sacred

and creating a new world.

To all the ominous birds that say:

"It will not work."

"If it worked it would be known."

An oriental saying goes as follows,

"The tree that falls makes more noise than the forest that grows"

And I think that alternatives are like a forest growing

It is growing silently everywhere

And it's good that it's silent and invisible

because that is the reason it can grow

When we will see it,

it will be a forest, and it will be global

So, we have to charge ahead!

News24 - Barcelona make Man Utd approach... but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has other ideas - Duration: 3:06.

Mata's deal at Manchester United is up in the summer and he is free to talk to foreign clubs this month to arrange a pre-contract agreement

Goal claim they have gone so far as to contact the 30-year-old's representatives, while Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also reported to be monitoring his situation

The news will come as a blow to Arsenal who are thought to be interested in taking him to the Emirates

However, Unai Emery's side are in a much weaker position as they are not allowed to speak to him until this contract expires

The report does also claim United are keen to keep a player they signed from Chelsea for around £37million five years ago

The Spaniard has made 208 appearances in all competitions during that period and won the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Europa League

However, he is struggling to nail down a regular spot in interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first team

Solskjaer has led United to seven wins out of seven since taking over from the sacked Jose Mourinho and his preferred front three of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard is settled

If Barcelona can come to an agreement to sign him, it would mark their third move in the January transfer window

The Spanish giants have already completed the signing of signing Kevin-Prince Boateng, 31, on loan from Sassuolo for the rest of the season

Ajax sensation Frankie de Jong, 21, will move to the Nou Camp at the end of the current campaign and Barca agreed to pay the Dutch side £65m for his services

De Jong is one of Europe's most highly-rated midfielders and was being tracked by both PSG and Manchester City before deciding on a switch to Spain

President Josep Bartomeu was delighted to beat off fierce competition for the youngster

"With the arrival of Frenkie De Jong we add talent, youth and Barca style to our sporting project," he said

"We are convinced that he will be a key part of our team for years to come." His arrival has reportedly cast doubt over the futures of Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal

Arsenal and Man Utd rivalry used to be blockbuster - but did Louis van Gaal end all that? - Duration: 3:27.

Arsenal host Manchester United in the FA Cup on Friday, with the showdown set to be an exciting one

Unai Emery's side enter the match on a high after beating Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday in a result that has sparked hopes they can yet finish in the top four

Manchester United have rediscovered their swagger under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, with the club aiming for an eighth win on the bounce

Fans will be tuning in all over the world to watch the match expecting goals, attacking football and enterprising play

But these are no longer the times for football supporters to expect fireworks and feuds between the two sides

In 2012, United's rivalry with Arsenal reached fever pitch. Even though the days of pizza-gate, tunnel bust-ups and on-field fights had long made way for something calmer, Sir Alex Ferguson took it up a notch

Robin van Persie waltzed into United from Arsenal - with waltzing being the right word

The Gunners never had a chance of keeping the Dutchman. Arsenal fans were fuming and United fans were jubilant

Red Devils supporters were gleeful, even, when he propelled them to the Premier League title in 2013

Even when Ferguson walked away, Van Persie continued to cause strong emotions among Arsenal's fanbase

The vitriol he received from the travelling support when he celebrated a goal for United against Arsenal was something else

But then the rivalry died for good under Louis van Gaal. The Dutchman boldly decided to sell Danny Welbeck to Arsenal, despite him being a popular figure at United

Since then, matches between Arsenal and United have been calmer, tamer affairs. Trending  Did Van Gaal cause the rivalry to lose its spark? Perhaps

United and Arsenal never used to negotiate with each other but Welbeck's exit has paved the way for such transfers to happen in the future

Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan's trade a year ago saw fans excited on both sides

But there was no abuse, no hating, no barbs. Jose Mourinho did not even dig Arsene Wenger out over the fact his star performer had moved to Old Trafford - at zero cost

It all traces back to Van Gaal. And Arsenal vs United has never been the same since

rich entrepreneur shortly after the Vietnam War he didn't want to escape

because he believed that he's an honest man - an honest business a lot of the

wealthy families have their life possessions confiscated

I've actually remembered that day very well a big truck came in front of our

store we were rounded up and was placed in a farm to be working amongst peasants

in the belief that everybody's equal my dad realized that there was no way that

we could survive he made the ultimate decision to escape Vietnam as a family

we were going through some fields started raining and thundering remember

my cousin was saying that you know you have to you have to be brave and you can

cry because we cannot be heard eventually we got on a boat

it was very late at night we started setting sail these people

crying and people battling people screaming it was like okay I'm gonna die

some what I thought was pirates people were coming to rob us that's where my

they won't take us we refuse to leave we wanted to get on the oil rig

whoever's in charge of the journey decided to sink the boat that the oil

rig can't just let people die right so the officials on the boat put some hold

of the boat I told the oil rig that we can asynch reluctantly they they started

letting a sport none of the boat sunk and then there was

a cargo ship that came by and then took us to one of the Malaysian Island

I remember meeting an official I remember they said do you want to go to

Canada right and we were told that you just knock your head so yeah yeah we

Nation under sunny but freezing weather _ 012519 - Duration: 1:15.

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.

Although the daytime temperature in Seoul reached up to 3 degrees Celsius, the windchill

factor made it feel like it was below freezing all day today.

The weekend will be a lot colder,... then on Sunday afternoon, the warm westerly wind

will blow through the peninsula warming up the temperatures again by Monday.

But thanks to the wind, the air quality will be good through the weekend under blue skies.

Neighboring regions such as Beijing will have similar conditions as Busan, and it will be

warmer in Tokyo.

On Saturday morning, Seoul will be waking up to minus 7 degrees Celsius and it will

be similar in most places, while it's unbearably cold in Chuncheon at minus 12 degrees.

The afternoon high in Seoul will reach 2 degrees and it'll be warmer down south.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

Man Utd transfer news: Eric Bailly must leave but NOT join Arsenal - Paul Mariner - Duration: 2:02.

That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Arsenal striker Paul Mariner. Bailly has been out of favour at Manchester United this season, making just six Premier League starts

He has only made one appearance since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho in December

That came against Bournemouth where he was sent off late in the 4-1 win, subsequently ruling him out of the next three matches

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international and reportedly had a loan bid rejected earlier this week

Mariner does not think Bailly is good enough for United but also reckons his former club should look elsewhere

"As a defender, he's a little bit erratic, let's be kind to him," Mariner said. "He's not the answer that Manchester United want

"They absolutely do have to recruit new players in that position. "I think it's better for him and better for United that he goes

"I think it would serve everybody well. "No [Arsenal shouldn't sign him]." On Arsenal's reported offer, Solskjaer admitted he would not be surprised if the Gunners were keen on Bailly

"I'm not surprised if [Arsenal] do [want him] to put it that way but that's just one of those things there's always speculation," Solskjaer told reporters

 "It's not a big surprise."

Mauricio Pochettino feels 'nothing but pride' after Tottenham's EFL Cup elimination to Chelsea - Duration: 3:32.

Mauricio Pochettino says he can feel nothing but pride in his Tottenham side despite their defeat on penalties to Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final

Spurs travelled to Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 lead following the first leg but went in at half-time here two goals behind on the night after an abject first half performance

Pochettino's half time tweak, something he has often been criticised for not doing in big games, resulted in Tottenham finishing the 180 minutes level on aggregate thanks to Fernando Llorente's second half goal, but Eric Dier's missed penalty and Kepa's save from Lucas Moura's spot kick sent Maurizio Sarri's side through to the Wembley final

The visitors were without key trio Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Heung-min Son once more, and it showed with chances on the break rarely taken advantage of

Having battle through such dire circumstances this season, however, Pochettino could not criticise his squad and said the experience would only strengthen them

"Disappointed to lose in that way, but it can happen. It was a signal that we fought and were brave, and in all the circumstances we played really well," he said

"Only I can feel proud, with all the circumstances, to arrive to penalties in that tough period for us, only I can congratulate my players and feel proud

That is the way that if we want to arrive and win, is to play and show that we are ready to compete in this type of level

"We came here to try to win the game and to try and be in the final.  "Congratulations to Chelsea

I think they deserved. We made an unbelievable effort. This season we are fighting not only with the opponents but with everything that's happened

That is not an excuse. It'll make us stronger. We have three more competitions, still, the FA Cup on Sunday, the Champions League and Premier League of course

"We arrived in a semi-final and lost to Chelsea, one of the best teams in Europe

I can only feel proud of the performance and the way we played and competed."  Dier, who scored the winning penalty in the World Cup as England knocked out Colombia in a shoot-out, was the first of Spurs' takers to miss, sending his effort over the bar, but his manager praised him for stepping up

"I feel very proud about them," Pochettino said of Dier and Lucas.   "You can only miss if you takes the responsibility to shoot

For me, it's not a problem. Of course that is a little bit about the emotions you have when you take the ball as you shoot

Sometimes you score, sometimes you miss. In the history of football that happens, it's nothing to complain about

You can only feel pride for the players who take the ball and shoot."

HOT NEWS | Border Patrol agent risked himself but did the right thing when he pulled suicidal man to

A Border Patrol agent who hasnt been paid since the partial government shutdown began 34 days ago, has been praised by a local politician for saving the life of a suicidal man in Michigan.

Brian Maitland pulled to safety a 64 year old male on CN Railroad Bridge, Newport who wanted to take his own life earlier this month.

He teamed up with a colleague County Deputy Brian Sroka to get to a point where he could drag him away from the edge.

County Deputy Brian Sroka spoke to a 64 year old suicidal man and Border Patrol agent Brain Maitland, 49, pulled him to safety off CN Railroad Bridge in Michigan earlier this month

While Sroka spoke to the man, Maitland, 49, moved behind him and his half emptied bottle of bourbon.

He then pulled his body despite there being a rope around his neck that was attached to a beam on the bridge. The rope was then removed.

The man had a suicide note in his back pocket.

Democratic US Senator Debbie Stabenow, of Lansing, called both men true heroes but Maitland believes he was simply doing his job.

Anybody in law enforcement or fire or EMS would have done the same thing, Maitland told .

The father of three daughters, who has eight grandchildren, added that helping people is just human nature.

He put himself at risk but made the correct decision according to the president of the American Federation of Government Employees/National Border Patrol Council, Local 2499, Jason Anderson.

Maitlands work as part of the four crews that were sent to the scene near Swan Creek Road in Newport went under as hes one of the 800,000 furloughed since December 22.

But he didnt reveal how he felt about President Donald Trumps decision to shut down the government as he demands dollar 5.7billion for a Mexican border wall.

Echoes of the Past in Venezuela Crisis, but Heard More Lightly The New York Times - Duration: 5:46.

Echoes of the Past in Venezuela Crisis, but Heard More Lightly The New York Times

MEXICO CITY — The United States support this week of an opposition leader as Venezuelas interim president seemed to follow a pattern familiar to Latin America, reawakening suspicions of Washingtons intentions in the region and calling to mind American interventions in recent decades.

Dont trust the gringos, President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela said this week, listing United States backed military coups in the region. They dont have friends or loyalties. They only have interests, guts and the ambition to take Venezuelas oil, gas and gold.

But where in the past the United States might have felt isolated in Latin America, this time it has company. Many of the nations in the region have denounced Mr. Maduro and instead recognized the opposition leader, Juan Guaidó, as the countrys legitimate president.

Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Chile, Canada and other nations have joined the Trump administration, concerned by the economic and humanitarian crisis in Venezuela and its destabilizing effect on the region.

President Mauricio Macri of Argentina was one of several leaders in the region who publicly supported Mr. Guaidó.

Argentina will support all efforts at rebuilding Venezuelan democracy and re establishing dignified living conditions for all its citizens, Mr. Macri .

And the argument that the Trump administration is motivated by greed for natural resources is undermined, analysts say, by the fact that the United States and Venezuela already have a mutual dependence in the energy sector.

The United States is Venezuelas largest foreign customer for crude exports, buying half a million barrels a day, which accounts for the majority of cash that Venezuela gets for crude shipments. And Venezuela buys about 100,000 barrels a day of light crude from the United States, which it mixes with heavier Venezuelan crude to move it through pipelines to refineries and export terminals.

Youve got this groundswell of opinion among the majority of Latin American governments that, regardless of what the United States said, this is an opportunity to rid the region of a dictatorship that has been a blight upon the democratic record in the region over the last couple of decades, said Duncan Wood, director of the Mexico Institute at the Wilson Center in Washington.

The United States and many countries in Latin America have long been concerned about Venezuela under Mr. Maduro, as the once prosperous country plunged into an economic tailspin, with soaring inflation, chronic shortages of food and medicine and the or of diseases long under control.

The crisis, also marked by human rights abuses and the repression of the political opposition, has driven more than three million Venezuelans to flee the country, threatening to destabilize the region and putting immense pressure on nearby nations, including Colombia and Brazil, that have struggled to absorb the influx.

In a measure adopted by the Organization of American States this month, 17 Latin American countries, along with the United States and Canada, denounced Mr. Maduros government as illegitimate.

On Thursday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, speaking at an O.A.S. meeting, in the Americas to break ties with Mr. Maduro and recognize Mr. Guaidó as Venezuelas legitimate head.

The regime of former president Nicolás Maduro is illegitimate, he said. His regime is morally bankrupt, its economically incompetent, and it is profoundly corrupt, and it is undemocratic to the core.

Several of Venezuelas longstanding leftist allies in the region — Bolivia, Cuba and Nicaragua — have expressed support for Mr. Maduro.

The Cuban government, in a statement on Thursday, said it condemns and energetically rejects the attempt to impose a coup détat, a puppet government at the service of the United States in Venezuela.

The true objectives of actions against Venezuela are to control the vast resources of this sister nation, the statement said.

Those nations have also been joined by Mexico, which until recently stood squarely among the regional governments pushing Mr. Maduro to institute democratic reforms.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of Mexico, who assumed office on Dec. 1, has taken a friendlier stance than his predecessor toward Mr. Maduro and insisted that he will support a policy of nonintervention in other countries affairs.

This month, Mr. López Obrador refused to sign a declaration by the Lima Group, a regional bloc formed to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in Venezuela, that urged Mr. Maduro not to take office for a second term and to cede power to the opposition controlled National Assembly.

Nonintervention, the peoples self determination, peaceful settlement of disputes and respect for human rights, Mr. López Obrador said Thursday. It is not that we are for or against. We are for the fulfillment of the constitutional principles.

That position has received support from some prominent members of the Mexican political establishment.

Regardless of the reservations or criticisms that one may have toward the government of President Maduro, the North American interference is unacceptable, Héctor Vasconcelos, a senator and president of the Mexican Senates foreign relations committee, .

In a on Twitter, Mr. Vasconcelos, a member of Mr. López Obradors party, added: Nothing will contribute more to the questioning of the legitimacy and credibility of Juan Guaidó than the support he is receiving from the United States. We are in Latin America and this should be understood by the White House.

He then urged the Trump administration to learn something from history.
